Why 1/4 Division? part 2: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Baptisms, laying on of hands and eschatology are baby doctrines that still divide. Adulthood means responsibility. God gives growth, not ministers; the Spirit and word test our work as fire. Ministers are stewards, so don’t honor men, and judge nothing before Jesus reveals motives.
What are the baby doctrines?
Short answer: Baptisms—water and Holy Spirit, with or without tongues—laying on of hands, resurrection and eternal judgment; don’t forbid tongues, but use tongue control.
▶ 0:00 Baptisms. Three baptisms. Water baptism is a baby doctrine. Holy Spirit baptism with tongues or without them is a baby doctrine that you’re either going to I I don’t know why everybody’s so afraid of tongues. It’s very biblical. Well, I do know because us spiritfilled people have made kind of a accident, a wreck out of it. But it’s very biblical. You’re either going to speak in tonesues or you’re going to speak by inspiration. You’re going to speak the mighty works of God. Whether you speak in tonesues or not tonesues, there’s going to be a river flowing out of you and it’s going to come out of your mouth and you’re going to speak great things of God. Whether it’s in tongues or not tongues that have to be interpreted, it’s going to happen.
▶ 0:51 How many need a little tongue control? Yeah. I mean, why why we you know, some people may make a wreck out of it, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a true doctrine. Didn’t Paul say forbid not to speak in tongues? Absolutely. We we’re going to see it in this in this chap in this book of his it’s going to be one of his doctrines. And then baptism into the body of Christ. Doesn’t the Bible say that God places in the body as he sees fit? Yeah. See, we need placed in and we need to accept our place. That’s a baby doctrine. These people looking for gifts. They’re looking for baby stuff. You know, there’s a there was a move on just and I think it’s still on 10 years ago, you know, know your gift. Find out what your gift is and all that. Yeah. Well, that’s wonderful. But that’s baby stuff.
▶ 1:46 We make it sound spiritual and the mature, the meat of the word, but the Bible says it’s what? Baby food. You’re placed in the body of Christ where you’re an usher or a pastor preaching the word or a song leader leading songs or someone that has an evangelistic mantle that can lead people to Christ or visiting the sick or whatever. It’s a gift from God. And you got to accept your place and not want to be somebody else and jealous of somebody that we think is better than us. How many of you know all Mary did was birth Jesus? She didn’t speak in tongues until the day of Pentecost. She didn’t do any recorded miracle in the New Testament. But she birthed Christ. And how many of you know that was all she needed to do was what God called her to do.
▶ 2:44 Amen. All right. Resurrection of the dead, eternal judgment. That’s the second coming stuff. Laying on of hands. Oh, we see these especially these, you know, spiritfilled healing ministries. I mean, can you imagine Jesus going around I can’t even imagine that. But you see, when you don’t have the power, you have to have a performance. You got to put on theatrics. I learned that as a young Christian. My first healing service. God straightened me out really quick. You’re either going to fake it or you’re going to admit the truth.
▶ 3:42 So the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment is the second coming. How many know we are adamantly in de division. And I mean, we will set we won’t have nothing to do with people that don’t believe in pre-tribulation rapture, which is a very new doctrine. It’s barely over 100 years old. We divide over the stupidest stuff. This is baby stuff. Hallelujah, church. Man, let’s let the babies sit back and baby out. Let’s move on. The meat is adding in first Peter chapter 1 to your faith virtue or moral goodness to that knowledge to that self-control. Say that. You know what are you waiting for some angel to appear just control yourself you know why does everything got to be I had a vision and I I had this I had this experience with God you know self-control is an important part of growing up in my Christian walk just me deciding to do right controlling my temper, controlling my tongue.
Scripture in this part
Hebrews 6:1-2 (NKJV)
Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
— Hebrews 6:1-2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:001 Corinthians 14:39 (NKJV)
Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.
— 1 Corinthians 14:39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:51What makes an adult Christian?
Short answer: Not years in Christ but taking responsibility—exceedingly great and precious promises, patience for parents.
▶ 5:05 See, controlling my time schedule, putting God in my time schedule. Now, remember we told you that in the physical, a person growing up from babyhood to adulthood reaches a transition where they become responsible. You see, they become responsible for, you know, getting an education, getting a job, providing for themsel, being there on time, you know, working hard. They That’s what an adult is. Anybody can grow up to be 30 years old. But not everybody 30 year old 30 years old is an adult. Why? Because they don’t act like an adult. They’re irresponsible. Same way in the kingdom.
▶ 5:57 Just because I’ve been in Christ 30 years or 15 years or five years does not make me and I’ve heard the Bible preaching for this amount of time does not make me an adult Christian. What makes me an adult Christian is taking on the responsibility of behaving like one like Jesus asked me to. That was good. It’s not who my pastor is. It’s not what church group I belong to. It’s my taking responsibility for my actions, my obedience to Christ. Then you add patience. I mean, is he hitting the nail on the head? Patience is hanging in there without a retaliating action while being laughed at, mocked, abused, or whatever.
▶ 6:58 You just hang in there. How many could use a double portion of patience? And see, these are exceedingly great and precious promises, and parents need them. And raising kids, you need patience to zip that lip to keep from overreacting. Godliness, brotherly kindness. What’s the second commandment? Love your neighbor as yourself. See, this is part of maturity, the character of God. And then love. What’s the first commandment? Love God. Another cause, the divider, not understanding the part ministers, religions or denominations and themselves and God have in a believer’s growth.
Scripture in this part
2 Peter 1:4 (NKJV)
by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
— 2 Peter 1:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:58Who gives the increase?
Short answer: God—Paul planted, Apollos watered; ministers can’t produce growth; reject instructions not in conformity with God.
▶ 8:11 We don’t have that understanding that God uses ministers. He uses a body, a church body, a group, a local church. He really does. And he uses yourself, but he also uses himself, God, to make you grow. Watch this. I of I’m of Paul. I’m of Apollos. They say he says you say I’m of Apollo. I’m of Apollos. That 34 should be two four, I think. They’re not anything. They’re not what? Anything. Now, that’s been added. That is really not in the original scriptures.
▶ 9:03 They put it there so you could understand it. So, and I didn’t italicize it. I should have. I always try to it italicize that so you know it’s not in what they’re saying. I am of Paul. I’m of Apollos. You know, we’re just ministers by whom you believe. We’re not anything. We’re just the messenger. That’s all. It is God that gives the what? Increase and the growth. So who do we need the most? We need God. See, that’s why the Corinthians summoned Jesus. That’s why they fellowship with. We need him. He is what’s going to cause us to grow, to come alive.
▶ 9:56 Amen. And when we start elevating our church group and our pastor and some great speaker or some great healing, we we lose the power. He that plants, which is Paul, and he that waters, which was Apollos, are one. These guys were united. See, the ministry team was united. It was the church that was divided. Every man. Who’s every man? Who’s every man? That’s you. Every man shall receive his own reward according to what? His own labor. You see, let me give you an illustration.
▶ 10:51 I was working with Jeff Willoughby on some houses that the church had because I was the head of the church. I had the authority to decide what’s to be done. He had the knowledge to do it. So I went in there to help him to speed up this stuff. See, and he had to say, “This is the way it’s done. See, I had to listen to the person that had the what? The ability, the knowledge to get the result. But there was one thing he messed up on. Huh, Jeff? And as the one responsible for what happens at the in the church’s buildings, I had to say, “No, this isn’t working.
▶ 11:48 See, I had to reject it. And why am I giving you that illustration? Because when ministers tell you to do something that isn’t in conformity with God and his gospel, it’s your responsibility. Every man must decide not to receive that. But when we don’t know what’s going on, we need to listen to the journeyman. And it’s our labor. People said it’s not by works. All through the Bible, it’s works. You see, I can’t get saved by works. It’s a free gift. That is true. But if I’m going to grow, I have to what? I got to put some effort into it. Seventh cure, God gives the growth from both ministers and our own labor, our own effort.
▶ 12:42 We nor ministers can produce growth. I want you to read this last statement with me. We come on. We nor ministers can produce growth. Oh, but when they prayed for me, I felt the power of God. It’s God. It’s not the person that prayed for you. But when they spoke the word, man, it just changed my life. It’s not the speaker, it’s God. Another cause the divider not understanding the part ministers continued. Okay, we’re going to continue. We the ministers are labors together with God. Who’s the important one here? God. If they don’t have God, they’re worthless. Why? Because God gives the growth.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 3:6-7 (NKJV)
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.
— 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:56Who owns us?
Short answer: God—you are God’s garden and building; you’re responsible for your own growth, not your pastor.
▶ 13:33 God changes the life. You are God’s garden and you are God’s building. See that’s us. So who owns us? God does. And ministers are just delegated messengers to bring his message. We got to listen to the owner. Verses 10- 11. Paul is a wise master builder laying the foundation of Jesus Christ. Another builds on it. Let every man take heed how he builds. Every man is who? You. See, it’s your responsibility to accept or reject things. When I was in Mexico preaching the gospel out in the boondocks down there, there was a pastor that took in a drug addict and so forth in his home, a boy, and he had a daughter close to that boy’s age.
▶ 14:35 And of course, they got connected and she got pregnant. And uh I’m sorry, it was a member of the church. The pastor asked him to do it. And so he come back. He comes back and he blames the pastor. So they bring me in on the jury. And all these pastors, all of these American pastors said, “Yes, the pastors at fault. He goofed up.” I said, “No, that man is the one that leads his house. He’s the one that has to decide, him and his wife, what goes on in that home, not his pastor.” Now, if he agreed to do it, that was his decision. He could have said no. You can’t blame the pastor for a decision that that father had the responsibility to make.
▶ 15:33 And the responsibility to make sure they didn’t connect and then suddenly everybody changed their mind. Literally, isn’t it amazing how we want to blame everybody? You see, you’re responsible for your growth in God. Us ministers called are here to feed you and help you, but it’s your responsibility to take it, embrace it, and use it. Hallelujah. Yeah. Give Give Paul a clap offering. Yes. And and that’s true with churches. People blame churches for their backsliding and everything else. No, you can’t do that. It was your choice. Now, he going to build gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, and stubble.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 3:9 (NKJV)
For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.
— 1 Corinthians 3:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:33What is the fire?
Short answer: The Holy Spirit and the word, testing every man’s work—wood, hay and stubble burn; he suffers loss but is saved.
▶ 16:26 A fire will test every man’s work of what sort it is. Thank God for this test. Now, how many know what the fire is? Okay, it’s the Holy Spirit and the word. My word is a fire. See, the Holy Spirit is a fire. You see, so he brings his Holy Spirit which convicts you of sin, righteousness, and judgment. And he brings his word which convicts you. These two are the fire to what? Test you of what work you are uh what sword it is, what how did you build? So what’s the cure? The cure is ministers and we ourselves work with God. If you’re working on your own, you’re not going to grow in Christ. And this is the problem in America. If we’ve got Christ out of the formula, we’re reading books, you know, uh 12 steps to rehabilitation, uh seven steps to overcoming divorce, uh but there’s there’s nothing in the Bible about seven steps, 12 steps of anything.
▶ 17:33 The Bible is Christ crucified, the power of God. God owns us. We’re the garden. We’re the building. All efforts are tested by fire to remove the stubble. See the stubble, the wood, and the hay can burn. The gold and silver, it will keep its characteristics in the fire. In fact, it’ll get pure. You get gold to a certain place, it melts, and the impurities come to the top. If there’s any there, it’s scooped off and you’re more pure. But wood, hay, and stubble will just burn up. All you got is ashes. You got nothing left. Are you there? Even stone. Stone when melted to a certain temperature will become molden rock. And then when it cools off, it’ll still be what?
▶ 18:24 Metamorphic rock. But not wood, hay, and stubble. So what is the stubble? Now everybody pay attention. This is good. Isaiah 5:20. Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil. That are wise in their own eyes. Well, this is what I believe. Well, does Jesus believe it? That drink alcohol. It says, I shortened it. It says wine and hard liquor or uh drink. They drink alcohol. And the modern church are tremendous alcohol drinkers, seeker friendly churches. As fire devs the stubble.
▶ 19:15 So what’s the stubble? All of this that he’s talking about their blossom. What’s a blossom? It’s the fruit of the flower, isn’t it? Their fruit. See, they added the wood, hay, and stubble. It’s going to become as dust. It’s it’s going to be burnt up because they have cast away the law of the Lord and despise the word of God. You see, so stubble are people that despise. They don’t follow the word of God. They do these permissive things and they call it good instead of evil. That’s what stubble is. And God comes along to burn it. All right. Now, follow with me. Hallelujah. Follow Paul I should say continuing with dividers not understanding ministers religions themselves and God’s part in our growth he goes on to say this if any man’s work abide which he has built there on he will receive a what.
▶ 20:17 Reward but if any man’s work shall be burned the wood hay and stubble he’ll will what? Suffer loss. Now what has he lost here? The doctrines that the word and the spirit burned up. The beliefs that the word and the spirit burnt up. The fruit of these beliefs that the word and the spirit burnt up. I mean God remember the gold, silver and precious stones they can withstand the fire. So all good fruit is kept. Church, this is good. You got to get this.
▶ 21:10 Especially this next statement. Watch this next statement. But he himself shall be saved by the fire. So why does God burn up the stubble, these bad doctrines and beliefs in our life that causes us to act wrong? Why does he do that? So we can be saved in the end. Hallelujah. Woo. Yeah. So see, if I give in to God and let him deal with these things and burn them up, he’s doing it for my good. And anything good in me he’s going to leave alone. A powerful I mean Paul I tell you he’s better than any speaker I have ever heard. Hallelujah.
▶ 22:05 I love that. So he’s got to go back to baby doctrine and what? Repent. Believe the truth. See that baby doctrine is important. Don’t these people need baby doctrine, repentance, faith in God and what God can do and the power. Yes. Now you are the temple of God and the spirit of God dwells where in you. What are you looking to Africa for? What are you looking like? When I went up to the bind, there was a move of God in Argentina. And everybody was going down to Argentina to to to, you know, uh, get in the presence of God. And I’m thinking, what what does the people in China do? What does the people in Africa do? We got to run to Argentina to find God.

1 Corinthians 3:12-15 (NKJV)
Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
— 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:26Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV)
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
— Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:24Who can defile your temple?
Short answer: Only yourself—stir up the gift; let no man deceive himself; don’t honor men.
▶ 23:01 He’s right here. I don’t have to go any further. And stirring up him. The greatest gift I have is him. And it says, “Stir up the gift that is within you.” That’s why I like that song, God’s not dead. He’s alive, living on the inside, uh, roaring like a lion. Yeah, he’s right here, baby. I love that song. That’s a message for the church today in America. It’s a very powerful song. You say, “Oh, well, and it’s got electric guitar in it. I don’t care what it’s got in it. That song got it.” And yes, electric guitar does make a certain song more powerful because it fits the song.
▶ 23:54 Now, if any man defile the temple of God, now where does God live? In us. So, who’s any man here? See, can Paul defile my temple? Can Apollos, can Schuller or Billy Graham defile my temple? No. I’ve got to do it. I’ve got to make that decision. See, so if any man defile the temple of God, him shall God what? Destroy, which is the same word as defile. Him will God defile. Okay. Now, what does God say in his word? He will do when we defile him, him and his what? He separates. See, we suffer loss. See, we suffer the loss of his presence. And why would he do that?
▶ 24:49 So that we want him back. You see, so I can be saved in the end. Isn’t that good? Yes. For the temple of God is holy. Let no man, now who’s no man here? Oursel or the ministers? Let no man what? Deceive himself. I’m sorry. It is us. Yeah. Let no man deceive himself. You see, when you choose to believe somebody teaching wrong and not going to the Bible and search it out, you are deceiving yourself. See, when I got to quote Calvin instead of Jesus, that shows there’s a problem. When I got if I’m a Methodist and I got to quote Wesley, there’s a problem.
▶ 25:44 You see, when I’m a Baptist and I got to quote the Baptist leaders, you guys know that the Southern Baptist started over the issue of slavery, don’t you? Southern Baptist, Southern Methodist, Southern Presbyterian, they decided that slavery was okay. And that’s what churches are doing today. And people are flocking to them. They’re deciding that things are wrong or okay. And we can’t do that. So, is it possible to deceive oursel? Absolutely. Seventh cure continued, “Any man’s effort to build on Christ receives a reward unless it’s lost to the test of fire. Don’t deceive yourself or as Paul goes on to say, or honor men.” Who are they honoring?
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NKJV)
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
— 1 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:542 Timothy 1:6 (NKJV)
Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
— 2 Timothy 1:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:01What are ministers?
Short answer: Faithful stewards of God’s mysteries; Paul wasn’t shaken by criticism; truth is the only ground.
▶ 26:43 Paul, Peter, and Apollos. Paul says, “Don’t honor men and don’t deceive yourself. Don’t honor yourself either.” Isn’t this good? The cause following unfaithful delegated ministers of God’s house and God’s mysteries. Let every man so account us as ministers of Christ and stewards of the ministries of God. A steward was a delegated authority over the household. The master owned the house. It’s required in stewards that a man be found what? Faithful, true, honest. And Jesus said, “My word is truth.” So a minister must be in the word and preaching the word.
▶ 27:36 The eighth cure. All of us have to understand that ministers are to be faithful delegated stewards of God. Of God’s house and God’s mysteries which is Christ crucified in the gospel. The cause untrue ministers yield when people judge them and the people judge them by their own standards of what is truth and right. Now listen carefully to this. Parents can do this in raising their children. They can yield because they don’t want to be disliked. They don’t want to be rejected and this causes division. I care very little, Paul said, if I am judged by you or humans daily.
▶ 28:30 Wow. Said it doesn’t rock my boat at all. And did they say bad things about him? Absolutely. Didn’t shake him up at all. I don’t even judge myself. He said, “I don’t decide if I’m right or not.” Wow. I know nothing by myself. Yet even in this, I’m not justified. He that judges me is who? The Lord. Because he’s the one giving me the message. He’s the one telling me what to speak. So, I’m not going to be bothered by you. Wow.
▶ 29:28 You let someone disagree with you, especially a group, we fall apart. You let our kids disagree with us, we fall apart. We try to find a way to negotiate and and find a neutral ground. The only ground is truth. Paul here is hitting the root of family problems, individual problems, church problems, and a national problem. The cure. True ministers, honest ministers that don’t care what people judge, but what God judges to be truth and right. Wow. See, a true minister, including every man that’s building their house, would not care what our politicians say about homosexuality.
▶ 30:23 We wouldn’t care what our preacher says about homosexuality or books say or homosexuals say. We still have to say it is wrong. It’s an unacceptable lifestyle. Why? Because God said so. Along with adultery and fornication and all the other sexual things. Amen. And this is where we buckle. We don’t want our family to dislike us or we don’t want our church to dislike us. So we buckle and ministers buckle and start preaching what the people want to hear. That’s why you have seeker friendly church and the emerging church coming out. What they’re doing is telling people what they want to hear. But there’s no power.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 4:1-4 (NKJV)
Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.
— 1 Corinthians 4:1-4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:36When should we judge?
Short answer: Judge nothing before the time—let Jesus reveal motives; who makes you different? Why boast?
▶ 31:16 All right. Another cause people judge before the time. They don’t allow Jesus to come and expose the motive of the heart. This is a good one. People jump to conclusions too quickly. Instead of waiting for Jesus to come and expose the purpose of that belief, the purpose that that person has for doing this because when you get the purpose, you got the evidence to disagree with it. In the courtroom in the Bible, could you ever get anyone guilty because of circumstantial evidence? No. Because they said they were going to do something. No, you had to have the evidence. Therefore, judge nothing before the time until the Lord come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make clear the counselss or motives of the heart.
▶ 32:19 Then shall every man have praise of God. How many can raise your hand and say, “I agree. We need to judge slower.” Yes. You see, take the homosexuals beings. I’m on them. Back there, before they even became popular, a lot of churches said they were reprobate. They were weirdos. And, you know, the worst sinner in the world. When I got saved and I started reading the book, I began to realize that sin was just like all it lists all kinds of sins in Romans 1. And all those sins were repbate and undisiplined. Repate just means undisiplined. No self-control. Okay. So, if Jesus isn’t going to stone the woman caught in adultery, will he stone the homosexual?
▶ 33:15 No. Why? It’s that principle of equitableness. What you do in one area, you got to keep it in the same area. So even before this thing became a nationwide problem, I learned very quick by reading God and seeking his face that homosexuals can repent and be saved just like anybody else. And I led many to Christ. And quite a few of those are still serving Christ today. Hallelujah. Cuz see, once you say they’re born that way, they don’t need to repent. God made us that way. We can’t argue with God anyway.
▶ 34:11 The cure, judge nothing till Jesus is given time to make clear the motive. And so now we know the homosexual motive. The homosexual motive agenda is to change the American culture. That’s exactly what their motive is. It isn’t that they want to get married and they want a romantic relationship like it. They want to change the laws and the culture to be what they want it to be. And that means sex before eight or it’s too late and more than one spouse, one mate. The cause pride and abilities of self, religion or ministers that you might learn in us. That’s Paul the apostle. That’s the ministers not to Oh, here it is. Think of men. I got it in italics. Think of men above what is written or not above what is written.
▶ 35:07 You see? And Paul says that they’re just mere men, right? They’re just messengers. That not one of you be puffed up or prideful one against another. Who makes you different from another? Now, this is a good argument. Who made Paul different from Peter? Jesus. See, who made Peter different from John? Jesus. Who made these apostles and ministers different from the regular church member? Jesus. And if any member had anything, whom gave him that? Jesus. He said, “What you what have you that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you glory and brag as if you had not received it?” That’s a good statement.
▶ 36:05 Why do we brag about ourselves knowing so much if he is the one giving us the knowledge? Why do we brag oursel about having a healing ministry if he’s doing the healing? See, why do we brag about oursel being able to speak well if he’s the one that gave us the gift to speak? See, that’s the pride that rises up in our self. And these people that don’t believe in going to church and and believe that churches are the and the churches are we we got mistakes. But we don’t throw out the principle of God, do we?

1 Corinthians 4:5-7 (NKJV)
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God. Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other. For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
