From the sermonWhere do Some Civil Rulers Get Their Authority to Judge? — September 6, 2020 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer asks where rulers get authority to make harmful judgments: from above, as Jesus told Pilate. In Judges 19–20 Israel bypassed God’s judicial system after the Gibeah atrocity and lost twice, then won after weeping, fasting and offerings. The American church has lost its fight and fire and must repent and stand.

▶ 0:01 We’d like to thank you again for joining us this morning online and in the room it’s great to be in God’s house uh at this time I’m going to ask mr vampro to come on up and share this scripture reading this morning. Those that are in the room kids adults whoever you are please respect God’s timeline now let’s quiet down while we hear God’s word. Good morning good morning it is good to be in the house of the Lord yes the Bible says in Psalms 27:1 the Lord is my life and my salvation. Who shall I fear king David opened Psalms 27:1 by saying the Lord is my light and my salvation he immediately asserts that Jesus is a personal God that Jesus is the God that guides he is a God that provides he is the God that heals he’s the God that restores he is the alpha and he is the omega he’s the first and the last he’s the brighter morning star he is the king of kings and he is the Lord of lords Jesus is a God that has all power Matthew 28:18 says.

▶ 1:11 Jesus came and spoke unto them saying all power has given it to me in heaven and in earth Jesus has all power the lord’s prayer tells us for that is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever we sing the song all hell the power of Jesus name God of Jesus is a God of purpose Psalm 57:2 states I cried out to God most high to God who will fulfill his purpose for me Jesus is the living water he is my shield he is my buckler he is my fortress he is my high tower he is the bread of life to those who hunger and thirst for righteousness Matthew 5:6 states blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled Jesus is my rock and my salvation Psalm 62:2 states truly he is my rock and my salvation if he is my fortress I will never be shaken.

▶ 2:10 The light exposes light reveals remember this light controlled darkness no one says turn up the darkness they say turn on the light and the moment you turn on the light darkness flees light travels light travels at 186 000 miles per second I don’t know how fast darkness travels but it travels much faster than that because the moment you turn on the light the darkness is gone yeah and the first responsibility for every Christian is to be what God was to be what Jesus was a light in a dark world John 8:12 states Jesus spoke to them saying I am the light of the world he who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life Jesus is the light and the moment the first step away from the light the is the first step toward darkness and the first step away from Jesus is the first step towards Satan and the kingdom of darkness but once you turn your light on the Devil flees James 4:7 states resist the Devil and he will flee from you that means fight the Devil and fight the Devil every day resist the Devil and resist him every day we are at war between good and evil we’re at war between light and darkness and we are at war between the world the flesh and the Devil and our only objective is victory and

Is life a fight?

▶ Watch this part (3:41)

Short answer: Yes, and it doesn’t fight fair; fight the good fight of faith.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:41 life is a fight and life doesn’t fight fair but you have to fight the good fight of faith this is not where we stop when we get tired we are victorious in the lord’s stream Christ went to the cross to defeat a very real Devil and we cannot believe in the redemption of the cross unless we believe in the purpose of the cross and the purpose of the cross was to destroy a very real Devil whose objective is to destroy you but Satan was defeated on the cross Philippians 1:28 says in nothing be not terrified by your adversaries and nothing be not terrified by your adversaries Jesus’s life produces produces love it produces truth truth is not something that truth is someone and that someone is Jesus Christ that’s why Jesus said I am the way I am the truth and I am the life and the only when you when you reject the truth the only thing you have to receive is a lie Jesus is not trying to be the truth he is the truth and when you know him you have the truth you walk in the tree you have joy in the truth you rejoice in the truth so this morning let’s rejoice in the truth let’s turn on the light and let’s worship Jesus Christ.

▶ 5:03 Amen. Let’s worship it this. Morning. Well let’s stand up on our feet let’s be the line of the world today let’s enter into his gates for thanksgiving and phrase. I will. Enjoy. Foreign. Ah.

Especially those of you who braved the pandemic and came to the sanctuary of the Lord and a hundred and some plus that are following us on facebook. Today we’re going to be answering this question how do some civil rulers get their authority to judge. Even unfair.

What is the question?

▶ Watch this part (18:24)

Short answer: How do civil rulers get the power to make harmful judgments? He sets over it the lowest of men.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 18:24 And harmful judgments how do they get that power how do they get that authority. Last week we shared with you from Daniel chapter 2 verse 21 God changes the times in the season again let me remind you if you’re going through a difficult season a financial season a health season or whatever God can change your season. And if you’re in a good season you just keep thinking and praising him and let him increase that good season amen. God changes the seasons you don’t have to stay in the same season and time all the time you can move up the mountain he removes kings and he sets up kings period he does it he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to them that have understanding. Daniel 4 17 25 and 32 three times in one chapter God says that the living may know that the most high rules in the kingdom of men and he gives it to whomsoever he chooses.

Where did Pilate’s power come from?

▶ Watch this part (19:30)

Short answer: You could have no power unless it were given from above; there are lesser and greater sins.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:30 And sets over it the lowest of men then we go to the New Testament Pilate said to Jesus Pilate is the governor of judea a roman governor a heathen governor. Don’t you know that I have power to crucify you and I have power to release it. And Jesus answered and said you would have no power against me at all except it were given to you from. Above. God is the one that put you here. Therefore Jesus said he that delivered me to you has the greater sin. So Jesus is saying Pilate you’re going to sin when you crucify me but those that brought me to you an innocent man.

▶ 20:28 Falsely accused they have a greater. Sin. So there is lesser sins and greater sins amen not like a lot of people say it’s all the same it’s not all the same. Pilate crucified Jesus to please the people and satisfy. The evil people mark chapter 15 verse 15. He after that conversation. Gave permission for Jesus to be crucified because he wanted to please the crowd that was putting pressure on him to do it. Today. Civil and church leaders. Are siding with evil sinful people. If you read the news you should know this.

▶ 21:24 The question is why are they doing. That. So we’re going to go to the Old Testament. And we’re going to look at a story in the book of judges. On your screen you will see a map of Israel back in the days. Of the Old Testament 12 tribes. And we’re going to read a story of how. God empowers. Sinful. People of faith they believe in God but they’re sinners. To correct other. Sinners of faith they believe in God but they’re also sinning so we’ve got sinners that believe in God correcting sinners who believe in God.

▶ 22:27 Is that clear all right. Now we’re going to go and back that statement up but first we got to set the conditions of that time. And judges chapter 17 verse 6 in those days there was no king. In Israel. Everyone did what was right in their own. Eyes. You remember last week the Jews were persecuted God allowed persecution to come and go for over 4 000 years because they did what was right in their own eyes and they served idols. You also got to remember that during this season in the book of judges. The priests were the ones that were chosen.

Who were Israel’s judges?

▶ Watch this part (23:22)

Short answer: The Levitical priests were to decide all cases and disputes.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:22 To be the judges the levitical priesthood they were to bring all causes to them and they would judge it from the law of God that a lot of Christians today say we’re not under law we are under law we’re not under shadow laws we are under civil laws wise laws spiritual laws those laws are still effective and Psalms 19 it says the law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul why would God remove a perfect law that brings a change in our life. Can I hear an amen. Yeah we just we take a scripture here and a scripture there and we make a doctrine out of it a religion out of it. But in this time the priests were the judges they were to bring them to the priests and they were to judge them according to God’s law.

▶ 24:21 They hadn’t come to the era of kings yet. And. Also in the book of judges you will find besides the Levites. Being judges God would raise up judges. Like shamgar yihood. Oath nil Deborah torah. Samson. And Israel would follow God while the judges brought. A spiritual awakening back to them and then when that judge died they went right back to doing what was right in our own eyes. So we have 12 judges during judges. So. We are in between judges. When this story. Is written for us to learn by we got it we’re in between judges and the Levites are the ones that you go to and I’ll prove it to you in Deuteronomy 21:5.

▶ 25:26 It says the the levitical priest shall step forward to decide all cases and disputes and assault. Okay all cases. But they didn’t bring them they didn’t bring them. They just did what was right in their own eyes they didn’t ask the judges anything. Now we’re going to go to the story in Judges 19 verse 22-29 here is the story. Certain perverted men of gibeah a city in Benjamin okay. Here’s all these tribes. And here’s Benjamin and gibeah. Is a city in.

What happened at Gibeah?

▶ Watch this part (26:18)

Short answer: Perverted men of Benjamin abused a Levite’s concubine through the night until she died at the door.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 26:18 The tribe of Benjamin. And there were some perverted men there and they beat on the door of a house. Calling out for the master of the house. They’ve beaten on the door they’re rioting they have a purpose in mind. Okay and their purpose was bring out the man in your house that we may know him carnally. Intimately. And slay him. They were in to torture intimate relationships. Where pain is inflicted even unto death. Their purpose was to bring that man out that came to visit his house.

▶ 27:11 And torture him while having intimate relationships. And in the process of him dying do we understand that that kind of activity and behavior is in America today also it has not gone away. All right. Now. The man of the house. He opens the door to these thugs and he says hey don’t commit this outrage. The master of the house knows it’s wrong. But remember this is a season where everybody is doing what is right in their own eyes and here is a clear description of this. Look my virgin daughter. And his concubine this guy that was visiting him came down to visit his father-in-law.

▶ 28:12 And he married as a concubine a concubine is a lower level of wife than the top level of wife that’s all it is it’s still called husband and wife. And his concubine had committed adultery and had sex outside the marriage. And they came down to this his father-in-law’s house and he was visiting him to bring back his concubine. To his home. So he’s offering his virgin daughter and his harlot daughter to them. Do we got that. Now. Let me bring them out now humble them do with them as you please.

▶ 29:05 A virgin. Girl. And a harlot girl his daughters but to this man don’t do such a vile thing why is it vile that they. Do it to the man and it’s not vile for a virgin and a sexual immoral daughter. See when you do what’s right in your own eyes you really get blinded. Are you with me now how many agree this is a vile horrible. Thing that’s going on yes. So they made a deal. And he gave him his harlot daughter the man’s concubine and they abused her all night until morning and then they let her go.

▶ 30:07 She died at the door threshold of the house of her father. They did exactly what they said they were going to do they were going to torture have intimate relationships. In the goal of murder killing them dying. So. The man of the house. Cut her up into 12 pieces. He cut off her leg her feet. Her calves her thighs. Her hands her arms her head and her torso and sent them to the 12 tribes. With a message of this atrocity. That went on. All right he didn’t go to the priests.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Judges 19:22-27 (NKJV)

As they were enjoying themselves, suddenly certain men of the city, perverted men, surrounded the house and beat on the door. They spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, “Bring out the man who came to your house, that we may know him carnally!” But the man, the master of the house, went out to them and said to them, “No, my brethren! I beg you, do not act so wickedly! Seeing this man has come into my house, do not commit this outrage. Look, here is my virgin daughter and the man’s concubine; let me bring them out now. Humble them, and do with them as you please; but to this man do not do such a vile thing!” But the men would not heed him. So the man took his concubine and brought her out to them. And they knew her and abused her all night until morning; and when the day began to break, they let her go. Then the woman came as the day was dawning, and fell down at the door of the man’s house where her master was, till it was light. When her master arose in the morning, and opened the doors of the house and went out to go his way, there was his concubine, fallen at the door of the house with her hands on the threshold.

What went wrong?

▶ Watch this part (31:01)

Short answer: They went right around God’s judicial system; Benjamin would not listen to Israel.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 31:01 He didn’t take it to God’s. Just judicial system went right around it. So we’re going to continue the story and we’re going to find that both the criminals. And the victims are defended by two opposing armies. Instead of a court procedure. And getting the ones that committed this crime. They raised two armies. One to defend the victim and one to defend the criminal. And. The odd thing is. When you read the story you don’t know if the real criminals died in this war.

▶ 31:55 But 55 000 other people. Did. Now let’s continue the story. The tribes of Israel four hundred thousand united armed men. Ask the tribe of Benjamin what is this wickedness that has occurred among you they take a 400 000 arms. Military power down there. And ask this question. They didn’t go through the court system. Israel goes on to say deliver up the preferred men. Who are in gibeah. That we might put them to death and remove evil from Israel. Now that was a good question.

▶ 32:50 But I’m still wondering why they didn’t go through the judicial. System Benjamin would not listen to Israel the Bible says. Their brethren. They are of the same lineage of Jacob. They are relatives they have the same skin color the same culture the same religion the same God. And yet. They disagree with each other on what is right and wrong Benjamin is saying the behavior of these men in gibeah was perfectly okay. Just like politicians are saying today that these riding burning looting and all that is okay.

▶ 33:42 Are you. Here. Benjamin. Raised up 26 700 men to go to battle against Israel an army 15 times their size they’re going to go defend. This wicked act of of intimate relationships. With torture and death. They are defending that okay. So the nice thing about the story is Israel went up to the house of God and you know that’s a good thing. Well it is a good thing whether you agree or not they went to the house of God.

Scripture (NKJV)

Judges 20:13 (NKJV)

Why did Israel lose twice?

▶ Watch this part (34:39)

Short answer: They inquired of God but had not repented; they lost 40,000 soldiers.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 34:39 And they sought God and they inquired of God. And they asked God shall we go up to battle and God says yeah go up to battle and they said well who do we send first send Judah first so judas soldiers are dying on the front line okay. 22 000 men of Israel. Died God told them to go up to battle. And they lost the battle and 22 000 soldiers died wow and they went to the house of God and got God’s permission. To go fight. So after that battle’s over they go and they encourage themselves so positive thinking here ah we’ve got to think positive and uh no negative talk here no negative thoughts we got to think positive.

▶ 35:33 Went back up to the house of God wept and asked God again if they should fight. The problem is they aren’t asking God are they going to win this battle. They’re just getting God’s permission to go. Fight so what did God say God said go up to battle sure go go get them boys. Eighteen thousand Israelites died. Zero Benjamin so far. The ones defending the criminals they don’t have any deaths at all they are protecting the criminals nothing has happened to them. But yet those that went up to the house of God.

▶ 36:29 We they have lost 40 000. Soldiers. 10 of their whole army. So we read the story. At that time after the end of that second battle now there are forty thousand soldiers down to zero for Benjamin. All the people of Israel not just the soldiers. All the people came out to the house of God. Are you here. How many know that’s a good idea. Can’t just rely on our police department and all that to keep things and our soldiers to keep things peaceful in America we as citizens better get some answers ourselves isn’t that right.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Judges 20:18-25 (NKJV)

Then the children of Israel arose and went up to the house of God to inquire of God. They said, “Which of us shall go up first to battle against the children of Benjamin?” The LORD said, “Judah first!” So the children of Israel rose in the morning and encamped against Gibeah. And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin, and the men of Israel put themselves in battle array to fight against them at Gibeah. Then the children of Benjamin came out of Gibeah, and on that day cut down to the ground twenty-two thousand men of the Israelites. And the people, that is, the men of Israel, encouraged themselves and again formed the battle line at the place where they had put themselves in array on the first day. Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the LORD until evening, and asked counsel of the LORD, saying, “Shall I again draw near for battle against the children of my brother Benjamin?” And the LORD said, “Go up against him.” So the children of Israel approached the children of Benjamin on the second day. And Benjamin went out against them from Gibeah on the second day, and cut down to the ground eighteen thousand more of the children of Israel; all these drew the sword.

— Judges 20:18-25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 34:39

What changed the third time?

▶ Watch this part (37:27)

Short answer: They wept, fasted and offered burnt and peace offerings; after repenting, God gave victory.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 37:27 Put God in this ourself and they went up to the house of God and they wept like before. But this time. They offered the burnt offering. The burnt offering is atonement for sin they’re actually admitting they’ve got sin in their life also just like Benjamin had sent. So they’re confessing their sin they’re repenting from their sin. They’re admitting their sin they were doing what was right in their own eyes that they also were worshiping idols. And they are fulfilling that scripture in Chronicles 7 14 if my people will humble themselves and pray. And turn from their wicked way then I will hear from heaven forgive their sin and I’ll heal their land this was before a Chronicles verse was written but they are doing what the chronicle verse said amen.

▶ 38:38 And not only that. But they offered the peace offering. The peace offering is the thank offering it’s the praise offering. As the opening verses today you know. Praise Jesus talk about Jesus. And he inhabits the praises of his people we heard it today. Enter his gates with thanksgiving enter his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name don’t come into the house of God and don’t come in your private time at home no it’s me I’m a flea on the dog come in thankful come in honoring him come in praising him the fruit of your lips giving what thanks unto his name. And when they exercise this.

▶ 39:33 After repenting from their sin then God heard from heaven just like he was going to say in Chronicles 7 14. They inquired of the Lord again phoenius who was the son of elizar who was the son of Aaron so this was in the early days of judges not the end days of judges. He stood before the ark of the covenant in those days. And they asked shall we yet go up to battle. Now for those of you who forgot. God dwelt on the ark of the covenant his presence was there and that’s where God said on the art from the ark of the covenant I will meet with you I’ll have an encounter with you but more importantly I will speak with you.

▶ 40:30 Now church I’ve been around. A long time. 57 years preaching this gospel I see a lot of people that love the encounter with God they love to experience his presence. Oh boy that joy that comes that peace that comes oh they love it and especially us pentecostals charismatic we love basking in the presence of the Lord but what I have found over the years and through my life is we don’t like hearing what he’s got to say to us. So we dance around we jump around and we’re in the baptist circles we stand around. Are you there if you’re in the catholic circles you’re up and down.

▶ 41:23 They kneel and stand and they kneel and sit more than any church I’ve been in hallelujah. But we didn’t like to hear what God got to say to us how to improve our life how to deal with the condition of our heart our attitude we don’t want to hear we just want to feel his presence we just want to know he’s real. Are you out there but what’s more important the cloud and the fire of his presence or the word to direct you the word to direct you. Are you with me. That’s the ark of the covenant now church we are the ark of the covenant the spirit of God individually dwells in us when we come together two or three he is what an arm is we are the place where God inhabits now and he wants to encounter us.

▶ 42:31 And he wants to speak to us. Both as a corporate church and as an individual. You should have been excited about that man that’s exciting stuff. Yeah you can go to God and he’ll talk to you if you’ll listen about 10 years ago I asked God Lord I need a better way of praying and the first thing he said was shut your mouth. And listen. You’ve been doing a lot of talking for years. You haven’t done you’ve done some listening but not if you really want to hear my purposes some plans and the intimate things of my word you gotta listen and you gotta listen when I’m speaking and that means at two o’clock in the morning if I wanna talk you get up and listen.

▶ 43:24 Are you there and sure enough. In the middle of the night he would come I’d get up and he would talk and I’d write it down because I’d go back to sleep and forget it the next morning so I had to write it down. Are you out there. Then the Bible says he will give us an ear to hear yeah while we’re always mouthing off to God. Why don’t we just talk to him he already knows every need and then listen to what he’s got to say. Could that be an amen yeah but see we don’t want to hear from God he will get our attitude he will say you aren’t treating your wife right you aren’t treating your husband right you aren’t raising your kids right you aren’t handling your money right oh gosh that’s that’s carnal stuff that is not carnal stuff that’s in the scriptures love your wife love your husband be wise with your money so forth are you there.

Then all the children of Israel, that is, all the people, went up and came to the house of God and wept. So the children of Israel inquired of the LORD (the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days, and Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days), saying, “Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of my brother Benjamin, or shall I cease?” And the LORD said, “Go up, for tomorrow I will deliver them into your hand.”

Who do we want God to change?

▶ Watch this part (44:30)

Short answer: Always the other people; but He wants to change me from glory to glory.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 44:30 But see we want God to deal with the other people see we’re always saying God change brother barnes. God says I’ll change him when you let me change you. Oh. Are you there. Hallelujah. That was one of them side things I don’t know how I get all I I purpose not to do that but I did. That this is so important that ark of the covenant is so important God in the midst of his church in the midst of our life is so important to feel him. Know him and hear his voice talking to us and see every one of us has a different need for an answer and he can come individually and give you answers.

▶ 45:23 Now. This time after the burnt offering the peace offering the praise offering the thank offering. God says go up for I will deliver them into your hand that’s what they should have wanted the first time not just go up not just fight but knowing we’re going to win how many want to know you’re going to win yes and don’t stop seeking until he says yes go fight him go fight this battle go confront it I’m going to give you the victory the victory belongs to the Lord we have to swing the sword we got to get up and and act but it’s him that gives us. The victory that we’re looking for.

▶ 46:18 Now Benjamin don’t know what’s happening they won two battles and here comes this same army. Back. Verse 35 the Lord defeated who defeated. The Lord who fought the battle the soldiers. Israel fought the battle. Who defeated the enemy. The Lord. Isn’t that so simple and we forget it. God taught me as a young Christian that a spiritual war for our warfare was way. Too impossible for me. I can’t just. Grunt and I’m gonna I’m gonna become a great Christian just by fortitude by just faith no I needed him doing.

▶ 47:14 The battle. Working the victory in my life changing me from glory to glory he’s the changer amen. And once I understood that changed my whole life. Hallelujah. So they defeated Benjamin. And destroyed that day 25 100 soldiers 96. Of the Benjamin’s army now church they had to use arms. In this battle they actually had to use weapons and fight a war. And next week I’m going to show you why. The American church has lost its fight.

Have we lost our fight?

▶ Watch this part (48:08)

Short answer: Yes; comfort and cost-counting keep us from marching. Whatever was written before was for our learning.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 48:08 All right. Are you interested. How many you know we’ve lost our fight we’re not out there marching the enemy is we’re not out there protesting the enemy is. We’re just going along with status quo they pass a law in california that homosexuals having sex with teenagers now is not a crime and you know it’s okay we just go oh how horrible. But we don’t fight. The fight’s been taken out of us why has the fight been taken out of us is that an important question yes how many want that answer. How many willing to fight. Women especially don’t want to fight because if.

▶ 49:00 They have kids and they’re comfortable in their home all they think about is this could cost. That’s the nature of the mother. But all Israel went up to the house of God didn’t they. Mothers need to go repent too isn’t that right well that was really good that was a side statement that was powerful did you catch that yeah you can’t just send your men out there we all got to deal with our life our attitude our sin amen. Now. They had to use arms. Now people tell me on facebook all the time you can’t use Old Testament stories to deal with today that’s Old Testament. It’s Old Testament we’re in the New Testament Old Testament doesn’t mean anything and all that.

▶ 50:00 Such foolishness. The Bible says in the New Testament Romans 15:4 whatever things were written before were written for who our learning upon the whom the ends of the world has come I didn’t put it in there because it didn’t have enough room that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have what hope and once you get hope folks there is no barrier going to keep you down from getting that victory and reaching the goal hope motivates. Hope moves you and hope is. Contagious. As the musicians come. Many times. There is a small war or no war at all.

What happens when evil is confronted?

▶ Watch this part (50:56)

Short answer: On the streets of Detroit he learned that standing up to bullies made them back down.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 50:56 When evil is confronted. I learned in Detroit on the streets of Detroit if I stood up to the bullies they left me alone. If I didn’t stand up to them they’re going to pester me bully me. Push me around all the days of my life but if I stood up to them even if they were bigger than me and they could beat me they didn’t want to have a fight every time they saw me. So they left me alone most of them became my friend. Once they knew and I didn’t have to fight but maybe really two fights with bullies. And the word got out and I really just had to stand my ground and they would back off. Are you there there’s a verse for that okay don’t think that we just got to take up arms every time we get the tanks and get the airplane down and drop the bombs in it no if we stand up against evil we can win these things without.

▶ 52:08 Actually a war taking place. Luke 14:31 what king going to war with another king sits not down first and consults. Whether he’s able with ten thousand to meet him that comes against him with twenty thousand or else the other. While the army is a great way off we’ll seek conditions of peace. Seek conditions of what peace no war. A lot of times in the Bible there was a scrimmage and it was done no big war and let me let me just say this to you. In America we only had two internal conflicts wars the revolutionary war between the patriots and the whigs the people here in America favored britain and others didn’t and then the civil war we only had two internal wars.

▶ 53:11 All of our other conflicts have been decided and won by standing up against wrong. Just standing up and fighting it which the church has not done for 50 years and I want to get into that next week. See we were disarmed we had the fight taken out of us except for the remnant now always remember the remnant say the word remnant the ones that keep the word commandments of God the testimony of Jesus the blood of Jesus and they love not their license or death they defeat Satan they defeat his followers they are victorious people amen and through the tribulation and through the falling away you always have the remnant conquering moving forward hallelujah.

▶ 54:05 Now. Daniel 4 35 and Ephesians 6:12. He or God does according to his will in the army of heaven. And the army of the inhabitants of the earth. We all know that his angels and spirits are the army in heaven right when the prophet said open the eyes to his servant his servants saw the angels and chariots of fire all around them protecting them. Amen but God’s got an army in the earth and you know who that army is yeah put on the whole armor of God that’s us all right. No one can restrain his hand or say to him what have you done.

▶ 54:59 Are we going to argue with God no we are his army. And we’re going to sing a song. For the Lord is marching on and I want to give you the background of this song was birthed in the 70s. Jiren. This God is dead the hippie movement that really brought into the church some very disastrous things that I will show you next week. The hippie movement had a very negative effect on the church. World. I was there I know what I’m talking about all right. Now. I was. At national convention with ace. And. They had heard of my organizational skills how do you know I can organize things yes I can I can figure things out and that’s not bragging that’s just God gave it to me and I can do it for every pollution there is a solution.

What story does he tell?

▶ Watch this part (56:06)

Short answer: He organized a march and a marching band filled a stadium with God’s presence.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 56:06 All right we just got to find it so they asked me to organize the march they have a march the opening march at national convention. And they asked me to organize it so me and mr barnes were down on the football field a big stadium there and I’m organizing this march and I’m getting it organized. And when it was all done the head of ace donald howard said we’ve never had a better organized march a powerful march than this one I don’t know if mr barnes remembers it but he was helping he’s always there helping me and my staff is always there helping me I look good because I got these helpers helping me. Praise God for helpers amen.

▶ 57:00 So. What they didn’t understand it wasn’t just my organization I tapped into a marching band that was from vancouver canada. And I heard them practicing this song for the Lord is marching on powerful God anointed this song in the 70s this song was powerful just the message for the day God is dead this song comes out and I’m not dead. My arm is marching on we’re still strong amen well I’m not dead at all and so this this. Parade started coming in and I had this band right toward the front playing this song baptists don’t believe at that at least at that time in singing anything but him.

▶ 57:54 But when this marching band come into that football field. The presence of God filled that stadium I am not kidding you. See they gave me credit for something. That I didn’t do it was the presence of God in that music that got everybody’s attention. Are you there. And the Bible says we can prophesy on our instrument you don’t we don’t have you always don’t have to have words the music did it. Hallelujah. Folks if that song can get. A bunch of baptist attention. Back in the 70s it can get the world’s attention today.

▶ 58:50 Could that be an amen. Now listen I’m not done with the story. This same group had a a group. Ensemble that sang this song. All right I was there the judges are crying. They’re crying these baptist judges are. Crying because the song is so powerful. But these same judges moved by the power of that song disqualified them. Do you remember that brother barn yeah. Because it wasn’t a hymn. It wasn’t amazing grace. So it’s disqualified.

▶ 59:43 And I asked the judge how could you disqualify that song when it moved everybody in this place it moved them out there in the stadium it moved them in here in the judge. Area. They gotta follow the rules. They gotta follow the rules how many know some rules need to be torn down amen so this morning I challenge you as a remnant. How many of you have the testimony of Jesus. How many of your faith is in the blood of the lamb yes how many of you have a goal to keep the laws of God the word of God yes you see. We are the remnant that overcomes Satan and we overcome his followers and if you want God to know you want to be part of his army let’s stand and sing this and let’s let God tell down the strongholds of the enemy as we sing this song in.

▶ 1:00:54 Court. Oh. Let’s

▶ 1:02:33 go. Is. And the glory of the lord.

▶ 1:03:42 Oh. Oh. I’m sure.

▶ 1:04:50 If it works for [unclear] Israel. We just got to [unclear]. If you’re going through the week and you’re not letting the spirit check out your attitude. The way you talk. The way you treat us. You’re not really having a prayer. If you’re not asking God to enlighten the scriptures and cause you to grow in the scriptures you’re not really having a prayer time you’re having a blessed time.

▶ 1:05:44 And if you’re not taking some time to listen to him talk back to you. To tell you how. To cure that time to cure that attitude. You’re not really having a prayer time and you’re missing the whole purpose of God he dwells in you he is there he will talk to you and he will encounter you that that presence is the anesthetic. So you can handle what he says is that a good allegory yes the present is an anesthetic. You won’t feel the pain when you start to cut these things out of you that you don’t. Need in your life. And then praise him. Back praise him before you start praying.

What sacrifice do we offer?

▶ Watch this part (1:06:39)

Short answer: By Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise; the American church has lost its fire.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:06:39 Then praise him after and that’s in hebrew. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of what praise. Not the sacrifices of shadow laws the sacrifice of the fulfillment of the shallow laws and one of them is praying giving thanks unto his name church it will change your life. It will sustain your life. And you will be one that brings glory to God by your behavior. As a sense in Matthew let your light shine before men that they may see your good work your good behavior. Amen. Next week we’re going to show you why.

▶ 1:07:31 The American church has lost its fire. All right. Thank you for joining us out there in facebook land and please wherever you are and what level of spirituality you’re at. I dare you to call on Jesus he cannot lie he has to come to you. It’s a locked in thing and you keep calling on him and don’t let up you cannot stand before God on judgment day and said I call on you and you didn’t answer me he can’t deny his word he cannot perform his work it’s just you got to keep seeking you got to keep finding him can I hear an amen you’ve got to keep knocking on that door and he will come.

▶ 1:08:27 And revolutionize your life and you’ll be part of the remnant that’s having a powerful effect on the world instead of these people of doom and gloom amen thank. You. Is. And take our promised land. Raise the anthem.

▶ 1:09:32 Now. As we pray for the offering. Jesus God be calling you God that you make this church and the church of large warriors for the kingdom of God God Lord able to handle able to stand Jesus like it says Lord equip for the master’s work but Lord when we have done all to stand. God Lord you give us the armor of God although we pray we that we would stand up for truth God that we would be on the offensive not on the defensive all the time Jesus Jesus we pray for a church that is strong and powerful God Lord that nothing can stand against it the case of hell cannot prevail.

▶ 1:10:26 Jesus God Lord we want to be part of that church. God we want to be individuals like that. Jesus God we pray. Lord transform us God we want to be these warriors for the kingdom of God we thank you. And everyone said amen. Amen. Thank you ask for a good word. A word for today current word. Situations going on in our country. And uh. Amen amen yes amen I’ve got to move on to announcements the seat doesn’t seem fitting.

And are are we going to repent that’s the question. The people of God in America going to repent that’s their question how are we going to pray and ask God so that’s going to happen September 26th this is happening this month so let’s take part in that amen.

▶ 1:12:19 Share it on your facebook get the word out about it. And uh take part in it do some fasting ahead of time do some prayer ahead of time that God will use this as a situation to turn the church around.
