▶ 0:00 We’re gonna go back to the previous series for a moment Satan secret weapons and we’re gonna ask ourself the question what happens to unfruitful people what happens to unfruitful people people that don’t bring forth good fruit remember the parable of the sower the one on the pathway is said to her humans walk it’s humans doctrine and that’s what we just said and people that are on the path of just crowded with human doctrines they don’t understand the work they don’t believe the word and they don’t get saved from sin and then Satan comes and snatches what word they had heard out of their heart okay that’s his secret weapon don’t let him understand don’t let it understand the gospel get caught up and all apologetics and everything else but don’t get that gospel into them the second people on the rock their hard heads like me I mean hard heads who got in here and we got some honest people here God had to hit me over the head with spiritual 2x4 to get anything in me bam bam now I felt like a punching bag.

▶ 1:11 They understand the word of the gospel Christ came born of a virgin okay preach the gospel preach the kingdom did signs and wonders laid down his life no man could take it picked it up on the third day for the sins of the world ascended back into heaven that’s the cross that’s the message that will save people apologetics or anything else is not gonna save them that is the salvation message is that true yes there is belonging to the catholic church or this church of the baptist church isn’t going to get you into heaven you better put your confidence and trust in Jesus Christ and let him birth you again being born again. Alright so they get saved for a short time who a short time you ever seen them I call them the shooting stars they come into the church oh wow man yeah I’m gonna be there they’re flashy and everything and in three months they’re back in sin I.

They fall away when tests and mistreatment come see they didn’t go on to know the Lord then shall you know if you follow on to know the Lord and he will come to you as a ring you see they don’t follow on and so many American Christians just stopped at the gospel and there’s more in the gospel than being saved from sin and one of the things is you’re going to be tested people are going to mistreat you because you’re a Christian and went and they can’t handle their family members mistreating them they can’t handle tests that they go through they can’t handle it because they didn’t follow on and then they fall away all right.

▶ 3:08 Joseph remember the Bible says in Psalms that the word that came to Joseph tested him until it came to pass Joseph was mistreated by his brothers in that right did Joseph fall apart no. Joseph was mistreated by Potiphar. Joseph was seduced or he wasn’t seduced Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce him and he wouldn’t fall for it he said I’m a Christian boy I’m a Jesus boy ain’t doing this. And then she lied about him that’s a mystery t and then Potiphar believed his wife instead of getting the facts and they put Joseph in prison so he is in prison did Joseph fall apart yet no. He got a word from God and until that word came to pass he stood firm he didn’t say oh God you told me that you know the stars are going to bow down and the sheep’s are going to bow down.

▶ 4:11 Here I am in prison I don’t know what’s going up yeah not a whiny Christian at all was he it’s American Christians whining yeah do they absolutely and see when you’re born again and you got the word of God in you you are strong. You know he will finish the good work he will begin in you so you just patiently wait the butler Joseph I told him the dream and when it happened he Joseph said go and tell Pharaoh you know I’m down here I’m an innocent guy and the butler forgot all about it mistreatment again did Joseph fall apart no then Joseph was elevated to number two in the kingdom did Joseph get proud no. Did he did he become a dictator no. Did if you give his brothers yes.

▶ 5:04 Folks that’s christianity. That’s christianity. We don’t fall apart then those on the thorns they understand the word they believe the word they receive the word they get saved they pass the tests and they pass the mistreatment of people all right they pass tests like Joseph did you know sexual tests of money tests whatever it is see Joseph never had a problem with money either am I right yeah why he we got a solid word from God he believed that word and he waited till God brought it to pass God put the character in it when he gave him the work and Joseph developed the character. But they don’t bring forth good fruit what kind of fruit good fruit see they’re not committing adultery they’re not lying they’re not stealing but they’re not producing good for it.

▶ 6:09 Hello church. You know I’m faithful to my wife I’m a good guy that’s what’s required of you that’s required fruit that is not good for it. Ah. You’re look you got interesting looks on your faces this morning yeah. The fruit of the spirit is love joy peace longsuffering. Gentleness kindness goodness meekness temperance self-control faiths see patience self-control. That’s good food not getting drunk is a required for it that’s a required behavior.

▶ 7:02 Don’t pat yourself on the back because you don’t drink are you loving do you have joy that no man can take away do you have peace that passes understanding nothing gets you riled except if you see a kid being molested by some guy then you would your temper goes off and you beat that guy and you get that kid brick. Are you there and don’t even have to be temper it’s just concerned for an innocent person okay. No good fruit why because of daily life they’re so busy working they’re so busy making money they’re so busy raising kids they’re so busy with life that they don’t take time for God and they don’t bring forth fruit. It’s a big one in America.

▶ 7:56 See daily life is think God told us to do he told us to love our wife to love our husband to raise our kids in the in the way of the Lord and he told us to work six days and provide for yourself and pay your bills and all that that’s just required. That’s a required action. Are you there but we get caught up and we don’t have time for God if that doesn’t do it then the deceitfulness of riches when you’re gonna work seven days a week and everything else and everything’s about money and then your kids are falling apart and your homes falling apart and you’re not taking care of things or the wife’s busy with women’s groups and and bowling leagues and whatever. The deceitfulness of riches it’s the love of money that is a root of all evil not money you understand that there’s a big difference.

▶ 8:53 See you can make good money and you can keep your life balanced or you stop making so much money because are you gonna do it hoard it and waste it anyway and you have time with your family could that be an amen and and time for God the problem here is Americans don’t give time for God they don’t give time through the week for God they come into church to go through the emotion of christianity see I’m a Christian I can deter today yeah well wonderful that’s required. This one is a big one in America the lust and pleasures of this life. Okay. Sex song and sensation we’re in the music we’re in the sex and we’re into sensation which is alcohol drugs and so forth just keep me high just keep me happy just make me happy.

▶ 9:52 The pleasures of life the things that cause us to escape the responsibilities of a disciplined life in Christ and so many Christians drink they smoke marijuana they take drugs and they’ll give me like Jesus drank I said show me no Bible where Jesus drank it’s not there. But he turned the water to one turn on water to wine and drinking is two different things could I be an amen see we interpret things the way we want. If Jesus would have got intoxicated he wouldn’t have been the perfect sacrifice for our sins folks because in the Bible intoxication is a hell sin right he couldn’t have he couldn’t have done anything wrong or he would not have been a perfect sacrifice so the sipping saints are con saints they’re deceiving and lying to what they want and get you to believe what they want you to believe the Bible says don’t even look on the wine when it’s read in the cup doesn’t it why did he want you not to look at it so you won’t drink it wine is mockery and strong drink is raging and he who gives him gives himself too it is not wise or he is a fool do you want to be a fool.

▶ 11:18 Do you want to be a fool. Then let’s get a little discipleship in us amen. But my friends and my family okay your fans and your friends and your family are their responsibility you are yours everybody goes into the holy of holies one at a time no group movement one person goes in there responsible for themselves you understand alright. Then you got the good ground okay that’s people whose heart is good they understand they believe they receive they get saved by way of an honest and good heart they didn’t come to God to save their marriage they didn’t come to God for God to heal their child that’s sick and dying they didn’t come to God to get rich like these megachurches are preaching the only person getting rich is a mega preacher.

▶ 12:21 They are living high on the hog everybody else is contributing to it are you there you come to God because you recognize you are a sinner you need to get saved and he’s the only one that can save you and bring you back into a relationship with God and finish a good work make a mat or good person out of you that’s why you come if life goes bad it goes bad doesn’t bother you because you’re doing what God said to do Jesus said come unto me anna strange thing they not only have an honest and good heart but they obey the word none of these obeyed all the word these did not obey the fruit of the spirit they did not get it they did not pursue. These did not pursue be able to handle tests and mistreatment of people I.

▶ 13:14 Don’t think there’s anybody on earth has never been mistreated. And these groups that are rising up today and said oh. We’re being singled out a man everybody somebody is mistreating you. If you’re a policeman like illya they call you pigs huh yeah you’re not a human being you’re a pig you know how to officer the law your pig he couldn’t destroy his head. Come on buck up shut up and move up to higher things could that be an amen stop feeling sorry for yourself you’re not alone in this stuff they obeyed the word help me you know that’s a big key obeying the word how you going to avail word if you don’t know it and how you going to know it if you never read it and come to Bible studies where it’s taught.

▶ 14:12 It doesn’t work through us most us you know just. You’re in the presence of the Bible you got the book there on your table and it just oozes in you. There’s no osmosis in this thing amen it takes work getting into that book and studying it and then getting up and living it and they bring forth good fruit with patience wow the only group that obeyed and had patience helped me you know a tree takes years to produce fruit about three three to five years to produce fruit and then it gets bigger and produces more fruit and more fruit and more fruit you got to be patient with yourself and you got to be patient with God he knows how to move you along at the right growth speed.

▶ 15:04 Some people grow faster some people grow slower but it’s not the race to the speed it’s the race to the finish line where we are mature solid Christian is that an amen yeah don’t try to push people and don’t try to hold people back. And you can speed up your growth with patience and I find this people just get impatient what they ask for things from God and they want him to just popcorn just bang and God knows when to do things how to do things and in the right approach to do things oh. Yeah I found that out as a young Christian just hang in there day in his time it will happen in my time he ain’t even concerned about it I tell him you know you should speed this thing up and he just laughs at me like I am telling God he don’t know what he’s doing don’t look at me like that you do the same thing Lord why yeah oh you’re telling God yeah you messing up up there.

Alright now so we’re gonna ask ourself the question what happens to these unfruitful people no good fruit all right you know that wheat this is the parable of the seed the wheat you know the wheat that doesn’t produce fruit is just straw did you know that do you know that wheat that produces fruit they take the kernels off and the stock remains or straw so wheat that does not grow and produce fruit is a straw it’s a stock and what do they do with the stock they either burn it or they leave it on the ground for fertilizer. Are you there now let’s let’s amplify this let’s let’s make this more clear in John 15 verse 1 I am the vine and you are the branches so who is this part of the vine Jesus right is Jesus the word yes so is the word this part of the vine yeah.

▶ 17:35 Folks you gonna go back to the word for everything that’s why the Bible says the word will set you free the word will heal you the word will make you wiser than your enemies the word is what’s important not entertaining groups or entertaining mimes or whatever it’s the word that’s going to do the job in you it is a living word okay and you are the branches who’s the branches that’s you and here’s the fruit every branch in me that bears not good fruit fruit the father takes away and cast into the fire hmm I don’t sound good a good.

▶ 18:17 Farmer will go and cut those dead branches off one day. Throw them into the fire okay let’s go a little further Matthew 3:10 a tree okay we’re lacking into a vibe branch on a vine we’re lacking into a earth with good ground hard ground thorny ground and trampled ground and here we’re lacking into a tree likened into a tree which brings not forth good fruit that tree is cut down to the root they didn’t take the root out the axe is laid to the root they cut the tree down how many know a tree cut down can grow back yeah because the roots still there all right every to you which brings not forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire oh gosh that don’t sound good.

▶ 19:13 And if you don’t know your Bible you probably don’t even understand what God is saying and I want to show you what he’s saying all right there are three fires in the Bible the lake of fire is eternal and it’s for people that don’t repent of their sins don’t get born again and don’t follow Christ okay and once you go there it’s over for eternity there is no purgatory folks you’re there forever that’s a big thing you need to think about. All right the second fire out of the furnace Isaiah 48:10 [unclear] affliction I have chosen you to refine you out of the furnace a macho hot affliction remember the trials and the tests that that people had on the rock yeah they didn’t handle him and God says out of the furnace the fire of affliction to refine you I have chosen you.

▶ 20:21 Now how many would say I can handle that far if it’s gonna make me better you cowards you don’t want to go through problems oh you’re never gonna grow the fire of God everything in God is good including the fire. All right then you got the baptism of fire. When he the chosen one has come he will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire two baptisms. Baptize you with the Holy Ghost baptize you with fire it’s not baptize you with the Holy Ghost of fire it’s I’m gonna baptize you with a holy go and I’m gonna baptize you in fire and American Christians don’t like the fire they just want to go to heaven they won’t fire insurance they don’t want to go to hell so when a church tells them you just believe in Jesus we’ll live any way you want that’s good enough for me I’ll take this jet.

▶ 21:30 And they’re not gonna make it into hell I into heaven. There’s more to the Bible than faith it’s a book of truth right. Alleluia so in Jeremiah 23:29 my word is like a fire that refines and purifies and my word is like a hammer see he’s gonna melt you down get the impurities out of you refine you then he’s gonna cool you off and start beating you with his hammer to shape you into something useful. That’s the scriptures I’ve been through that I’ve been I told you he’d take a spiritual two before hit me upside my spiritual head all the time dave you’re such an odd head. Are you there requiring out of me things that I didn’t want to do I mean kind of didn’t fight with that yeah and in fact we don’t want to do it so bad we don’t say oh thank you God we say I rebuke you Devil that can’t be got.

The hammers good folks I tell you and the fire is good the fire is good the baptism of fire is necessary he’s got a burn by his word those impurities out of your life you’re not gonna get it through a 12-step program or a seven step program or whatever step program all these people try to come up with you’re going to get it by seeking him his word and he little by little line up on line keeps changing it. There’s no I wish there was a three-step four step 12-step procedure man I just we couldn’t hold the people we just follow the pattern but everybody’s different and God approaches everybody on the level that they can handle it and he moves them along at their speed.

▶ 23:41 Okay. Now the fire burns and leaves what ashes I mean just look at the mountain from the fire the [unclear] ashes alright it leaves ashes. God’s fire will leave you in ashes no identity left. Nothing for you to hold on to just ashes are we with me okay now watch Isaiah 51:3 I will give them beauty for ashes. What’s the purpose of God’s fire to beautify your left folks to beautify you to make you a beautiful Christian not a Christian everybody’s shaking their head wondering if you are won or not.

▶ 24:37 How many women notice a handsome man well how many knows sinners will notice a beautiful Christian and if you are ugly Christian they’re not interested. Now that was good preaching right there if you’re like them what do you have to offer them if you talk like them live like them what are you showing them you’re not showing them the gospel of Christ. Now baby Christians exceptional babies take time to grow that’s why you got to have patience you know you don’t stop cursing and swearing and and getting anger and everything overnight now some things you’ll do quickly he did quick things in my life he took secular music out of me just like that the night I gots a second of music went right out the door and a couple of other things.

▶ 25:35 But other things I had to fight it’s a fight. Alright I had the discipline myself. I’ll give them beauty for ashes the oil of joy for mourning the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness that they might be called trees of righteousness the planting of the Lord not a church the planting of the Lord that he may be glorified why does he want to make you beautiful to bring honor and recognition to himself so people will be attracted to you and he can bring them to himself. Wow what a plan amen what a plan now.

▶ 26:29 My question is what if we choose not to be refined by the fire from sin. What if we choose to stay a believer saved by faith and live any way we want. Is that possible yeah see I showed you in the parable he keeps coming to restore he always is coming to restore and bring you to himself and this is what Satan don’t understand Satan thinks because he got you defeated and one of these steps he’s got you but no Jesus keeps coming back to you the hard heads the people in human doctor in the past you know the people in thought he keeps coming back to restore and bring you and we finally get up there.

▶ 27:22 Same way here you see the fire comes to burn up those things that are undesirable in you and build you back up make you beautiful and get refined from those sins and you exchange them for holiness worship the Lord and the beauty of what holding it. When I started the vine back there in the h in the days 1976 somewhere on there. 72 yeah.

▶ 27:57 You know we would sing like these songs and they they always sing this song Jesus is the Lord of my life uh-huh and they had the guitar going and the drums going they were into the music not one of them except for two or three had Jesus as a Lord of their life when I went back they were just rocking with the music man Jesus is the Lord of my life uh-huh uh-huh Jesus is the Lord of my life he was in the Lord of my life Jesus said why don’t you call me Lord and do not the things I tell I tell you to do I’m your Lord when you obey me they won’t obey and they smoke and roll on getting high and they were interesting those hippies they would smoke more I want to get high on drugs and then they the whiter the bread the quicker you’re dead whitney white bread and I’m thinking what what does this make sense you’re destroying yourself with drugs you want to eat white bread you got to have holy bed or you’re gonna die quick.

▶ 29:00 How about you are you into the music or you’re into the word alleluia is. It possible to reject Christ over and over and over his refining fire the baptism of fire yeah you sure can now Psalms 139 he lifts the needy from the ash heap see all you got to do is admit you’re wrong I need you to save me I need you to make me beautiful I need you to get this impurity out of my life I can’t do it on my own but me and you together we can do it see he lifts the needy out of the what ash heap why are they there his fire. We’re not talking about the lake of fire yet are we we only talk about the lake of fire if you keep rejecting it all your life and you die in your sin Jesus said if they die in their sin it’s over until then he’s constantly coming to your ash heap to put you back together in that beautiful.

We are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus all right we’re not down here wimps and we’re seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus with rulers we rule over our life we rule over this life is that a good amen the world does not get us down now in closing many Americans through carers riches and lust for pleasure have no fruit today. Is that true it is fruit and Christian is really lacking in the late 40s that I grew up in and the 50s it was a very fruitful season for America christianity was very popular the Bible was very popular Christ was very popular 60% of the people went to church regularly and even.

They didn’t know well was the community I don’t see nothing wrong with what I know they admitted they were wrong totally different world when I grew up than it is today and I want to show you how the fruitful season was equal breath separate I’ve brought this to your attention for years in 1898 the Supreme Court made a law the blacks were set free at the civil war given the right to vote given a right to be free given the right to citizenship but the Supreme Court in 1898 because of Democrat. Party pressure the Democrats are the ones that suppress black people more than the Republicans were that Republican party was created to.

Are you aware that it was brand-new and and president Lincoln was the first president of the Republican party and Republican party was created right around the 1850s or so to abolish slavery the Supreme Court said okay yeah they got a citizen right they got a right to vote but they’re and they’re equal you know all men are created equal in the declaration of independence but they got to be separate and so they had to drink from their own fountain I lived in this I saw the colored fountain and the white fountain why it’s only colored only I lived through that I live through her black people were really being mistreated really bad but I’ll tell you black people were mistreating me bad.

▶ 33:19 If you white you’re bad but I also met back black people that were good. All right but I lived through this now listen the Supreme Court through this move of God there was a big awaking the fourth awakening that started in 1948 all right God began to wake America up to morals and the Supreme Court who always went to another case for the set of presidents this time they said this is not a president’s law this is a moral problem and we’re going to approach it from the moral side and unanimously. Vetoed the same Supreme Court that said in 1898 that they’re equal but separate they vetoed it now please listen to me I want to show you something here.

▶ 34:23 Although the Supreme Court vetoed it and the Republican party and Eisenhower especially try to get the civil rights bill passed in the 50s it couldn’t do it because of the Democrats. Read your history. Couldn’t get it through Congress see Congress is the lawmaker now here is a decision by the Supreme Court that states and representatives did not obey even though their Supreme Court said. They really had to go to Congress and they fought for almost ten years to get this civil rights bill passed and finally in the first part of the sixties they passed the civil rights law are you with me now.

▶ 35:21 Hold tight to that the Supreme Court made a decision ten years before it became a law and it had to become a law before anybody would obey the Supreme Court did you hear what I said it’s very important now let’s keep going in God we trust was put on our money on our paper money you see here here’s an old bill. Here’s a bill after the Supreme Court said we’re going to put in God we trust’ on all of our money not just coins that’s how powerful christianity was in America in the 50s the same a Congress passed a bill to put one nation under God in the pledge of allegiance. This happened in the fifty’s why there was a spiritual sweep across America it’s called the fourth awakening we’ve heard about the three awakenings but this isn’t a fourth awakening and I got to live through it.

Then finally the civil rights act got passed and it was followed in the 60s by a spiritual awakening of hippies and denominations I was there God started with the Episcopalians he came and filled him with the Holy Ghost many of them spoke in tongues and he didn’t ask permission from anybody to do it then he moved over to the Presbyterians and the lutheran’s and finally the Catholics in 1968 he just came to the catholic church all over the world and just fill people with the Holy Ghost and some of them spoke in tongues and he didn’t ask the pope permission and they didn’t have to come to the Pentecostals to get it the Pentecostals back then thought they were the elite. If you want to be full gospel you got to come to us no.

▶ 37:22 God show it I was there folks and I was going door-to-door witnessing him that was witnessed in everywhere and I would run into these denominational people and they would ask me are you spirit filled and I go yeah hey I want to talk to you we were in the church and something came through the roof or or something oh yeah and I said yeah that’s that’s the Holy Ghost man that’s the Holy Spirit God just did it they didn’t even know what was happening to them. Very powerful. But let me tell you he did this the hippies they were rebellious the sexual. Revolution is started. God is dead movement has started abortion on demand homosexual movement started at the same time prayer out of the and Bible out of the public places in the midst of all of these Supreme Court decisions.

▶ 38:23 To get the Bible out of the school’s prayer out of the schools abortion on demand homosexuals is a civil right in the midst of all this God. Was was visiting the church. All of these became law because of the Supreme Court’s decision. Do you know Congress did not pass a law saying abortion on demand is okay they did not pass a law they did not pass a law that said homosexuals can marry there’s no law it’s just a Supreme Court decision and everybody is using it as a law am I right but on the civil rights in. 1954 when the Supreme Court said black people are equal and they’re not separate we got to integrate everybody’s got to be treated fairly they had to pass a law in Congress in the early 60s to get that civil rights done.

▶ 39:38 Are you hearing me you see it’s just convenient these politicians just do things conveniently and they just want to please the people like harriet her just want to please the people. Do you know there is no law to teach evolution in public education there’s no law the science department and washington dc decided in 1960 that all public schools have got to teach evolution and I was in school at that time and me and my teachers went around around because they had taught me to think for myself and now they’re telling me not to think I want to submit to you that today’s church is silent on moral issues is that true we’re just accepting things roman’s how then shall they call on him and whom they have not believed and how they believe in him whom they have not heard and how shall they hear without a preacher.

▶ 40:41 Church we got to get the word out. We can’t be sitting back waiting for the big churches to do it they’re not doing it oh they got a lot of people but America has gone downhill for 40 years I. Watched that great awakening dissipate I lived through it. We got to get the word out those people need to hear that their ashes God can take and make it beautiful again amen their hard hearts he can soften and bring them further into him those lusts of pleasures and lust of life and the cares of life he can deal with them to balance their life and bring them into Christian maturity amen.

▶ 41:34 God didn’t save you to just live the way you want. Because you believe in Christ like a lot of these churches say you’re going to heaven and some churches if you belong to their church you’re going to heaven it’s just not in the Bible but people want a freebie. They don’t want a countability they want a freebie. They don’t want to be responsible and the Bible is about responsibility love your neighbor as what yourself be responsible for yourself and be responsible to treat your neighbor right. Let’s let the Holy Spirit show us the ashes. Your ashes may be different than the one next to you. And. You just may be a hard branch it isn’t producing fruit and he’s going to burn up that hardness he’s going to burn up those things.

▶ 42:36 You need to get out of your life. If you here this morning and you’re willing to let the holy spirits show you things in your life that need to change. And you’re willing to accept his refiners fire at the baptism of fire. The word of God to burn it out of you and the hammer of his word to reshape you and make you a vessel that can contain the fullness of God. Would you just raise one hand as they Lord I see I. Thank you Lord that you don’t burn me up and leave me without any hope but you take the ashes.

▶ 43:34 Of my sins and you raise up something beautiful for you if you hear this morning and you’ve been rejecting. God’s fire you don’t want to change to proud. And. You’d like to say Jesus. I’ve been rejecting you I’ve been hard but I don’t want you to give up on me I want you to keep coming with your word until you get through to me would you just raise your hand to him don’t give up on me Lord. Thank you Lord thank you Lord if you’re here this morning and you’ve never accepted Christ as your savior.

▶ 44:26 He was born of a virgin he preached the gospel of the kingdom of God healed the sick raised the dead lay down his life picked it back up again shed his blood and died that you if you ask him forgiveness can be forgiven and he’ll take your punishment in. Your place. If today you would like to go to the very first part of the gospel accepting Jesus and admitted your sinner. And. Asking him to forgive you would you just raise your head. How many of us want to be the good ground. That can hear understand receive. Get saved.
