In this message Pastor David G. Kincer calls the baptism of the Holy Ghost the third promise that brings us into the divine nature, a baptism of power he says is for today. Using Luke 24, Acts 1 and 2, Ezekiel 36 and John 14, he says the Comforter is Jesus coming back in spirit, and that this promise is for all flesh with no respect of persons. He then separates the gifts of the Spirit from the fruit and shares an experience about tongues.

Is the baptism of the Holy Spirit for today?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: He says the baptism of the Holy Ghost is the promise of the Father, a baptism of power or spiritual ability, and that Peter said the promise is to you, your children and all who are afar off. He says there is no dispensation where it started and stopped, and that dispensationalism is man-made.

▶ 0:00 So today we’re going to look at the third promise that God promised to help bring us into the divine nature and it is the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We argue about it. We fight over it. We divide over the doctrine of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. And that just should not be. And today I hope that you will get the word of truth in you and get rid of the quarreling, get rid of the division and get the ghost. He’s very important and I’m going to show you who the ghost is today clearly. All right. Luke 24:49. I send the promise of my father upon you.

▶ 0:56 See here it is the promise. Remember the exceedingly great and precious promises by that by these we may be partakers of the divine nature. Here he plainly says, “I send the promise of my father upon you. Wait in Jerusalem until you be clothed with power from on high.” So the Holy Spirit baptism is a baptism of power. Spiritual ability. Spiritual ability. Say that. Spiritual ability. Spiritual ability. Yes. Supernatural ability. Ability that comes from God. All right. Acts 1 verse four and five. So Jesus comes after he rose from the dead, appears to his apostles, and he was assembled together with them. Jesus commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise.

▶ 1:52 There it is again. Wait for the promise of the father. Which he said, “You have heard of me.” Not only did the Father tell you, but I’m told you. For John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the what? Holy Ghost not many days from now. And that was 10 days. 10 days later after he ascended. And so the baptism of the Holy Ghost is being clothed with power. It is the promise of the father, one of the exceedingly great and precious promises to bring us into the divine nature. Acts 2:38. After the Holy Ghost was poured out, Peter said, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” So the prerequisite for being filled and baptized with the Holy Ghost is to repent from your sins and get water baptized.

▶ 3:03 And he says, “Everyone that repents from their sins and gets water baptized shall,” and the word shall there is nothing can stop it from happening. For the promise, there’s that word again, the promise is unto you, to your children, and all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call. So, here’s that promise again. Now, the fundamentalists and the Pentecostals and the charismatics and the Lutherans and the Methodists, we’re all in a big fight whether the baptism of the Holy Ghost is for today or not. The fundamentalists, they got these dispensations, their dispensationalist and and so they have a dispensation where miracles and baptism of the Holy Ghost only happened back in the early church.

▶ 4:02 There is no doctrine in the Bible about dispensationalism. It’s man-made. All right? I’m just going to tell you bluntly right here tells us plainly that the promise is not only to those apostles but to or those 120 that was in the upper room, but to their children and to all a far off. How many you know we’re a far off? Yeah. To all as many as the Lord shall call. So there is no dispensation where the Holy Ghost started and stopped. And the fundamentalists are wrong here. They say it’s not for today. And they you just get the Holy Ghost when you’re baptized in water.

What does the promise of the Spirit include, according to Galatians 3 and Ezekiel 36?

▶ Watch this part (4:53)

Short answer: He says the blessing of Abraham came through Jesus, and that we might also receive the promise of the Spirit, which is part of the divine nature. He reads Ezekiel 36:26-27 that God will put a new spirit within us and cause us to walk in his statutes, which he says means God’s own Spirit will be an active force in us.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:53 That’s a lie, too. And I can show you in the Bible. And I have showed you the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a an experience in God of power. And we we’re going to see something here. All right. So, aren’t you glad that this promise is to us a far off? We need power. How many need power, supernatural spiritual power in your life? We do, folks. We can’t serve God on our own brain power and own willpower. We need his power. All right. Now, let’s continue here. Galatians 3:14. The blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. Now, there’s two things here. The blessing of Abraham. Acts 3:25 tells us that the blessing of a blessing of Abraham was fulfilled when God raised up Jesus to bless you by turning every one of you from your sins.

▶ 5:55 See, see in Abraham all the earth shall be blessed. How did he do that? By raising up Jesus. And Jesus turned us from our sins. But there’s another part to this. That we might receive the promise. There it is again. The promise of the what? Spirit. That Holy Spirit. Exceedingly great and precious promises that bring us into being partakers of the divine nature. Now, our ears and our eyes and our mind should be alert right now because God is promising something tremendous. What does the baptism of Holy Ghost have to do with the divine nature? Now, if it does have to do with the divine nature, we need to quit arguing about it. We need to quit dividing over it. We need to quit fighting about it.

▶ 6:48 And we need to participate of it. Could that be an amen? Cuz the divine nature is a big deal. All right. Are you with me so far? Ezekiel 36. We’re going to go back to the Old Testament’s promise. I gave you the New Testament promises. Now, here’s the Old Testament promises. Ezekiel 36:26. I will put a new spirit within you. I will put a new spirit within you. Man, I could use that. And then he tells us exactly what the new spirit is. And where’s the spirit going to be put? Within us. Not out here. Not that omnipotent presence that people feel but inside.

▶ 7:45 I’m going to put it inside you within you. And then he tells us exactly who the new spirit is. I will put my spirit. How many you know the Bible says God is spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. You see? So when God says I’m going to pour out my spirit, what’s he saying? I’m going to pour out myself. I am a spirit. See, this trinity is word is great, but it still helps us think God is three different persons. And yet, it it really is a good word to explain the three parts of God, but we lose sight that he’s still one God. And we’re going to help you straighten that out today. I will put my spirit within you.

▶ 8:39 So that new spirit is his spirit and cause you. This word cause, I’m going to trigger you. I’m going to affect you. I’m going to move you. I’m going to be an active force in you. I needed that as a young Christian. I needed an active force within me. I need it as an old Christian too, but especially that vulnerable new Christian walk. You need a drive within you. And I’m going to move you to walk in my statutes and my judgments, keeping my commandments and keeping I’m going to cause you. It’s not you just trying to discipline yourself to obey. I’m going to cause you.

What does the Spirit do about uncleanness and famine in Ezekiel 36?

▶ Watch this part (9:31)

Short answer: He says that in the new covenant God will deliver us from our uncleanness and put no famine on us, and that the famine he means is spiritual, a famine of hearing the word of the Lord as in Amos 8:11. He says the Holy Ghost will keep revealing the word to us.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:31 I’m going to move you. I’m going to affect you in such a way you’re going to keep my word. Hallelujah. Yeah. It’s a good place for a good clap offering. See, God says he’s going to be a participator in this Christian walk. He says, “You will be my people and I will be your God.” If you know the new covenant, that’s part of the new covenant found in Hebrews 6 and 8 found in Jeremiah. So this new covenant is we’re going to walk in his statutes. This new covenant is we’re going to do it by the power of the spirit of God that he is going to baptize us with. I will deliver you from all your uncleanness. How many of you Christians found out you still needed things to be cleansed from after you got saved?

▶ 10:26 I’ll raise both hands. That really frustrated me at first because from the pulpit, man, if I came to Christ, my problems were over, man. Just skate through life, no problem. I mean, that’s the way they implied that it was. And I got saved. And I didn’t know I had so many problems. I didn’t know I had so many wrongs in me until the light shined on me. And I needed changing in many different areas. But he said he’ll cleanse us from all of them when he puts that spirit in us. That that fire of the Holy Ghost burns it out. I will multiply the grain and bring no famine upon you. Now, here is the Everybody’s always talking about the sign of the Holy Ghost. There’s all kinds of signs of the Holy Ghost. Here we have 1 2 3 four of them.

▶ 11:24 Ain’t that right? Because the promise is the Holy Ghost would cause me to do these things. I will multiply the grain and bring no famine upon you. Now, we know he’s not talking about natural famine. And I’ll tell you why. Now, when I was a young preacher, yeah, I preach, oh, yeah, God’s going to take care of you financially. No, he’s talking about spiritual things still. And I’m going to prove it to you, okay? The early church had a soup line. Acts chapter 6, Stephen was one of the administrators of that soupline. There were poor people in the church and they only served soup to the church and they only served soup to the people in the church who didn’t have family to help them.

▶ 12:23 If you know your Bible and they only serve soup to the people in the church that were widows if they were 60 years old and up. Otherwise, those widows should be out working and taking care of themselves and that that widow was involved in the house of God. Just reminding you of things I’ve preached before. All right. We also know that Apollos prophesied that a famine would come. Now, if God’s going to put no famine upon us, and Apollos prophesied of a famine to come, that makes him a false prophet. Except, the famine came and they had to send help to the church where that famine hit. You see, so he’s talking about spiritual things.

▶ 13:16 What he’s saying is in Amos it says, “I’m going to send a famine among you, not of hungry for bread, where you want bread or food, nor a thirst for water, but I’m going to send a famine in Amos 8:11 of hearing the words of the Lord.” Now, God says, “When you get this, Holy Ghost, you will not be in a word famine. I will keep revealing the word to you. Wow. So, see, I need this Holy Ghost. I need to quit arguing about it, fighting about it, and I need to get it because it’s going to bring me into the divine nature. And I want to be like Jesus.

Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.

Who is the other Comforter in John 14?

▶ Watch this part (14:07)

Short answer: He reads John 14:16 that the Father will give another Comforter, and says the first Comforter is Jesus and the other is the Spirit of truth who abides forever, so there is no time when it stops. He says Jesus was with them and would be in them, and that when we quarrel over the Holy Ghost we are quarreling over Jesus.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:07 How many will raise your hand and say, “Jesus, I want to be like you. My goal is to be like you. Not like the pope, not like the preacher, but like you. Yeah, that was it was a cry in my heart as a young Christian. And we used to sing this song to be like Jesus. All I asked is to be like him. So meek and lowly, sweet and holy. All I ask that was a real cry for me. I wanted not to be just your everyday Christian, the shooting star talking about God on fire one day and and then three months goes by and you’re back to your old life. I wanted to grow and be like that song meant a lot to me. And we should have that desire because the Holy Ghost puts it in us. Now John 14:16 the father shall give you another comforter.

▶ 15:08 Okay. Another comforter. Then who is the first comforter? Can you guess who the other comforter is? Jesus. Who’s there? Jesus is a comforter, but he’s going to send another comforter. Do you guys ever look at the word like this? See, that’s why you need teachers. See, they need to stir up our thinking. Are you with me? So, there was a previous comforter and obviously it’s who? Jesus Christ. But there’s another one coming. Now, watch this. Watch this closely. This is powerful. That this comforter may abide with you how long?

▶ 16:04 Forever. That gets rid of dispensationalism right there. There’s not a time where the comforter is going to be with us, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and then it’s going to stop. It’s going to be here how long? Forever. You, your children, and to those a far off. This is a forever thing. Are you with me? Hallelujah. Even the spirit of truth. Now, who is the truth, the way, and the life? Jesus. Jesus is that spirit of truth. God is a God of truth and God is a spirit. God is that spirit of truth. Jesus is that spirit of truth. You can’t separate these three. And yet God uses the terminology so we can understand them.

▶ 16:57 Now, how long is he going to abide with us? Forever. Okay. And he’s a spirit of truth. You know, if you go around lying, don’t tell me you’re filled with the Holy Ghost. His first name is Holy. He’s a Holy Spirit. He’s a Holy Ghost, which means spirit. And he’s a Holy Spirit of truth. You got your opinions. Your opinions may not be truths at all. Don’t tell me the Holy Ghost tells you things when it’s not truth because he is the spirit of truth. Amen. Jesus is truth. Now watch this. Are you ready?

▶ 17:52 You know him. Know who? The spirit of truth. The comforter. Now, who did they know at this point? Jesus. They didn’t know the Holy Ghost. They didn’t know anything about the Holy Ghost. I’ll show you that in a minute. They had no idea about this Holy Ghost. But he says, “You know him. You know him. He dwells with you.” Who is dwelling and living with them? Jesus. Jesus is living with them. Amen. Now, he is with you and shall be what?

▶ 18:44 In you. And that’s what Ezekiel said. This new spirit, God’s spirit, the spirit of Christ is going to be in us. So Jesus was with them. But when he died in that fleshly body or he he laid down his life in that fleshly body, he picked it up again and he ascended into heaven with that fleshly body void of blood, a non-deing body. Then he came back as the comforter who is the what? Holy Ghost. Wow. So when we quarrel over the Holy Ghost, we’re quarreling over Jesus. We’re fighting about Jesus. And we’re fighting stupid battles, foolish battles.

▶ 19:40 And this is why we need to get this word out. American Christians need to grow up. And I’ve been telling a lot of people in the last three years, you need to grow up. You need to get out of the baby stage. You need to get out of the children’s stage. You need to get into the young men’s stage of growth. You need to get with a program. Hallelujah. They get mad at me and everything else, but it doesn’t matter. They really need to grow up. I have to tell my kids, it’s time to grow up. There’s a time to grow up. Jesus is going to come back as the comforter and be in us. And when we say he’s not involved anymore because there was a dispensation back there where there was a Holy Ghost poured out and tongues and all this stuff happened, but now it’s not going on.

▶ 20:32 No miracles, no. You’re telling me that Jesus is not active in the church. And I’m telling you, you’re a liar. He is active in his church. He is the one that builds the church. Amen. I will not leave you comfortless. I will come to you. Comforter. Another comforter. He won’t leave you comfortless. He will come to you. So who is the comforter that was coming? Jesus Christ. I won’t leave you comfortless. I will come to you. And he promised the comforter would come.

Scripture (NKJV)

John 14:16-18 (NKJV)

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. What is the baptism of the Holy Ghost according to John 7:38?

▶ Watch this part (21:26)

Short answer: He reads John 7:38 that streams of living water will flow from within the believer and says the baptism of the Holy Ghost is an abiding power that is not only in us but flows out of us with outward signs. He says it is an active presence that results in an outward expression of God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:26 Who’s the comforter? Jesus himself. Comes back in spirit form. His body is in the heavenlies. The one that died on the cross. But he comes back with his spirit. God is a spirit. John 7:38, “Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” Within him. King James says, “Out of your belly shall flow rivers of water.” The Amplified says, “Out of your innermost being.” See, it’s within us. And this is what the baptism of the Holy Ghost is. Yes, we are the temple of God. And the spirit of God abides in us. But the baptism of the Holy Ghost is that abiding power that not only is in us, but it flows out of us with indications that we have it like we are his people and he’s our God.

▶ 22:29 We walk in his statutes and the commandments. I don’t have a famine of the word. I’m delivered from my cleanliness. See, it’s an outward demonstration of a power within. Not just his presence in us. It’s an active presence that results in an outward expression of God. And this is what the Pentecostals and charismatics experienced back there and didn’t have the scriptural understanding to tell people what happened. Now, the third divine nature of Christ, remember his first one was there was no sin in him. So, if we’re going to take on the nature of Christ, we’re going to set a goal to stop sinning. The second divine nature we talked about is no man could take his life.

What is the third divine nature of Christ in Joel 2:28?

▶ Watch this part (23:26)

Short answer: He says Jesus could not be killed by anyone; he laid down his life, and Jesus is Emmanuel, God with us, God in the flesh. He says the third divine nature is that God pours out his Spirit, my spirit, on all flesh, as promised in Joel 2:28 and fulfilled in Acts.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:26 He had to lay it down. The Roman soldiers couldn’t do it. The Roman government couldn’t do it. The Jewish leaders couldn’t do it. So, when we blame the Jews and the Roman Empire, we’re really not telling the truth. Only Jesus could give up his life and pick it back up again. No one had the power and authority to take it. Jesus was not just another human being. He was God in the flesh. And these people that argue with me, I’ll say, “Listen, what’s another name for Jesus? Isn’t it Emmanuel?” “Yeah, it’s Emanuel.” I What does Emanuel mean? God with us. I go, “Duh. Jesus was God. Amen. You don’t want to listen to anything else. His name’s Emanuel, God with us.

▶ 24:18 Any idiot can figure that out. Jesus was God in the flesh. God himself came and died on that cross. In a human body called Jesus Christ, the Messiah. So this third divine nature of Christ, we’re going to go to Joel 2:28 and it’s repeated in Acts 21:16 where it’s fulfilled. In Joel 2:28, we have the promise. In Acts 21:16, we have the performance of that promise. All right? And this is what it says. I will pour out my spirit. Whose spirit? My spirit. It’s not a third person. It’s his spirit upon how many? All flesh.

Scripture (NKJV)

Joel 2:28-29 (NKJV)

“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.

— Acts 2:16-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 24:45

Do dreams and visions mean God is speaking?

▶ Watch this part (25:10)

Short answer: He says dreams and visions from God have a condition, a goal and an end result, and that God gives them when he is about to do, correct or change something. He tells people who bring him dreams with none of these that they just had a pizza nightmare, and says the Holy Ghost gives the interpretation himself.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 25:10 And I have that box pulsating because here is the third divine nature of Jesus Christ. Right in those words. All right. But before we get there, here’s the results of that spirit, the signs. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your old man will dream dreams. Your young man will see visions. Now, people get all hyped up at that and they would read interpreting dream books and all the rest. Listen, if you really understand your Bible, people that dream dreamed and had visions simply had got a message from God. There was a condition going on. All right. There was a situation and then there was a goal.

▶ 26:01 This this vision or this dream, whether it’s Daniel, whether it’s Joseph, whether it’s Isaiah about the Messiah, there was a goal. All right? And then the end result. And when and people come to me with their visions and dreams and I just tell them, you had a pizza nightmare. Why? There’s no goal, there’s no condition, and there’s no end result. It’s just you flattering yourself. Anybody can eat pizza before they go to bed at night and they have a nightmare. Are you there? And God don’t go around throwing out dreams and visions, you know, like a dime store or the dollar store now. It’s a dime store when I was a kid, but it’s a dollar store now. God only gives dreams and visions when he’s about to do something, correct something, change something and it’s a goal.

▶ 27:03 I do I have so many people coming to me with dreams, especially if I talk on this. I I’m trying to prevent that from happening is why I’m explaining it. And sure enough, you know, I I talk about dreams and vision, the Holy Ghost, and boy, they come next time. Oh, I had this dream blah blah blah. I said, that’s not a dream. That’s a nightmare. It has no message. So stop reading books on how to interpret dreams. The Holy Ghost don’t need some human being writing a book on how to interpret dreams. The Holy Ghost gives you a dream. He’ll give you interpretation. Good grief. The thought that you have to come to me to ask for the interpretation. You think I’m Joseph or something? Are you there? Here it is.

Is the baptism of the Holy Ghost for everyone?

▶ Watch this part (27:58)

Short answer: He says it is poured out on all flesh, so it is not only for Pentecostals and charismatics, and that God has no respecter of persons. He says it is for men, women, rich, poor, sick, healthy, Protestant, Catholic and Jew, and warns against thinking we are better than anyone.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 27:58 The third divine nature of Christ. All right. Here it is. There is no iniquity with the Lord. See, that’s the first divine nature we gave you. There’s no sin in him. Nor respect of persons. Here we are. He poured it out on how many. It isn’t just the Pentecostals that get this and the charismatics. This promise is to how many? All flesh. What is this thing we get in our little corral and we get in our little groups and and and I grew up in Pentecostal circles, Assembly of God. And it was implied from the front that we were better than the rest of the world. They didn’t say it in English, plain English, but it was implied.

▶ 28:52 I go into the Baptist church and it was implied that they were the best because they didn’t follow that speaking in tongues and all that nonsense. They were the superior ones. I’m a young Christian. And I’m going, man, what’s the matter with the church? Everybody’s cuckoo. Don’t you ever think that you’re better than anybody else. You’re nothing except what God is in you. Could that be an amen? And the key is all flesh. He is not a respector of persons. This baptism of the Holy Ghost is for men, women, rich, poor, sick, healthy, Protestant, Catholic, Jew. I don’t care who you are. It is for you. God has no respector of persons. Every one of his promises is for everybody.

▶ 29:48 Hallelujah. But yet in the church, we have respective persons. We have our little clicks. I haven’t been able to conquer clicks since I’ve been a pastor. The hippies hang with the hippies. The Mexicans hang with the Mexican. The Asians hang with the Asians. The drug addicts hang with the drug addicts. The alcoholics hang with the alcoholics. And it goes on and on and on. They get their little clicks after church and before church cuz I relate. Jesus relating was no respector of persons. Amen. We bond. Jesus’s bonding is in no click.

Can you bribe God?

▶ Watch this part (30:40)

Short answer: He says you cannot bribe God, whether with a promise to serve him if he mends your marriage or with tithes expecting him to prosper you. He says God commands men everywhere to repent, and we should pay tithes because God said to so the message could get out.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 30:40 Everyone he bonds with. But in the American church, we have a lot of problem. And this is why this young church, these young people need to get this message out. Americans need to be taught because the truth set you free. It isn’t some mega church that will set you free or some holy water that you can buy set you free. It’s the truth that sets people free. And we got to get the truth out. Nor taking of bribes. You can’t bribe God. God, if you mend my marriage, I’ll serve you. I go, what kind of God doesn’t take bribes. He commands men everywhere to repent. Man, you just better repent whether your marriage works out or not. You better repent and change your life. Well, God, you know, I’m going to give you my tithe. I’m going to give you, but you got to bless me on my You can’t bribe God with paying your tithes and expecting him to prosper you.

▶ 31:38 You pay your tithes because God said to so the message could get out and somewhere that money should be going to the message getting out. And if that church isn’t getting the message and isn’t teaching the truth, why are you paying your tithes there? If you can’t get fed there, why do you support something that’s worthless? I’m just throwing that. You can’t bribe God. These preachers are wrong. Give and it shall be given unto. You can’t bribe God with money. The divine nature does not take bribes. He simply says, “I command you to repent.” Amen.

▶ 32:34 Are you with me? Mothers come. Oh God, if God will restore my kid back, he’s in drugs and he’s out gallivanting around just bring him back into the fold. I said, lady, you can’t bribe God. Your son and her daughter has to repent. You have to repent. You think a little [unclear] prayer is going to do this? Those are gone. You know that these things come and go. After prayer, before [unclear] prayer, yay. We need action and we need to pray. Are you with me? No bribes. Don’t say, “God, I’ll do this if you do that.” Listen, you just better do it and then God will bless you in the manner that he wants to bless you.

▶ 33:32 Can I hear an amen? You know, get me a girlfriend, get me a spouse. I hear that all the time. Oh, if I could just find a You can’t bribe God him finding you a spouse. If you act like a a uh virtuous man and a virtuous woman, you’re liable to wind up with one. If you act like an idiot, you’re wind up you’ll liable to wind up with an idiot. Come on. Are you there? The Bible says marry whom you think is best. Don’t bribe God into this thing. And I hear this. I even hear prophecies. Oh woman, behold your husband and her man. You better stop that kind of prophesying. Oh, us Pentecostals and charismatics, man, we’re weird.

What does it mean that God shows no partiality?

▶ Watch this part (34:25)

Short answer: He reads Matthew 22:16 that Jesus does not regard the person of men, and says he speaks truth to everyone, from a king to a beggar to a high priest. He says there is one Bible for all, and he reads 2 Peter 3:9 that God wants all to come to repentance.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 34:25 We do some real weird stuff in the name of the Holy Ghost speaking. And most of the time, it’s their it’s it’s their ghost. It’s them speaking. It’s it’s just nonsense. Matthew 22:16, teacher, rabbi, we know that you are true. We know that you teach the way of God in truth. We know that do you do not care about anyone and you do not regard the person of men. Now, we know Christ cared about everyone cuz he came to die for everyone. But what’s this word care relating to?

▶ 35:20 Truth. Truth. He’s going to speak the truth. He don’t care what you think about it. He don’t care how you respond. He don’t care if you hate him. He don’t care if you want to kill him. He’s going to live truth and he’s going to speak truth. He is not going to respect persons. Herod, you got to hear the same truth that Lazarus the beggar beggar heard. Are you there? Caiaphas, the temple leader, the high priest, you got to hear truth. Just like the lepers, there’s no respector of persons with God. There’s no Spanish Bible, Chinese Bible, Hillbilly Bible.

▶ 36:16 That’s where I’m from. There’s no African Bible. And I tell this where I go to preach. I’ve been preaching all over the world. And I tell them, “You guys, you can’t do this. There’s no Spanish Bible, African Bible. There’s no culture thing. This is a commandment from God. This book is forever. There’s one book for all. There’s not a women’s Bible and a men’s Bible. Amen. There’s one Bible. See, he is no respector of persons. See, your children need to hear the truth just like anybody else. We respect our children higher than other people’s children. We respect our friends higher than anybody else in the community.

▶ 37:15 Somewhere we got to get rid of that and take on the divine nature. Second Peter 3:9, the Lord is not slack concerning his promise. There’s that word. But he is patient, long-suffering toward us, not willing that any, all flesh, no respector of person should perish. No one should perish, but all should come to repentance. God commands men everywhere to what? Repent. Ain’t no bribery. There’s no respector of persons. You don’t care who you are. You need to repent. Be not deceived.

Can anyone change, according to 1 Corinthians 6:9-11?

▶ Watch this part (38:06)

Short answer: He reads the list in 1 Corinthians 6 of the sexually immoral, thieves, drunkards and others who will not inherit the kingdom, and then "such were some of you." He says each of them is not that anymore, because the promise of the divine nature is for everyone.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 38:06 1 Corinthians 6:9. Neither sexual immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, people that have sex outside of the marriage after they’re married, people that have sex before marriage. One night stands, hookups, whatever they call them, homosexuals, sodomites, sodomy is sex in the anus. All right? Thieves, revilers is people that talk bad about you, harmful, greedy, drunkards. That’s the marijuana smokers. That’s intoxication. Marijuana is intoxicating. You get high off of it. One puff, bang, you’re in. You’re in the zone. methamphetamines and opium and all the things that come from it that you get a buzz from is wrong.

▶ 39:05 Alcohol is the number one drug and Christians quarrel over it. And it’s listed right here in the list of sins. Nor extortionist. That’s people who in position of authority use their authority to manipulate you and take what you have. Could be a politician. Could be a policeman. Could be a minister. Yes. Could be a parent. I read all the time where parents are selling their daughters into sex to get money. Parents leading their kids right into sin, partying, uh, swinging, sexual immorality.

▶ 39:59 Parents doing it. They have authority and they manipulate and they use their authority to get that person to do what they want. That’s what an extortionist is. And that’s wrong. I don’t care if it’s a parent and children manipulate their parents to get their way. The parents love their child and they parents are so stupid that they let the child manipulate them to get what they want. They will not inherit the kingdom of God. None of these will inherit the kingdom of God. It says, “And such were some of you.” Aha. Aha. God is no respector of persons. The homosexual is not a homosexual anymore.

▶ 40:52 The sodomite is not a sodomite anymore. The thief is not a thief anymore. The reviler is not a reviler anymore. The drunkards, intoxicators, marijuana, drugs, and alcohol are not that anymore. They have been changed. Why? Because that is the divine nature of God. This promise is to everyone. I don’t care what sin you’re in. I don’t care what social status you’re at. This promises to everyone. The greedy can change. And that’s my debate when I debate the news media and all the rest. Homosexuals did change and are changing. And I can show you in the Bible, they changed 2,000 years ago and they’re changing today. I have led over 50 of them to Christ and over 30 of them are still serving Christ.

What are the two streams of the Holy Ghost, the gifts and the fruit?

▶ Watch this part (41:48)

Short answer: He says there are two streams: the gifts of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 and the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians, and that the gifts are an outward result that does not prove there is a change inside. He says the Comforter convicts of sin, but conviction without fruit is not the same as change.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 41:48 There are two streams of the Holy Ghost. Who is Jesus and no respector of persons? We got that. There’s two streams of the Holy Ghost. How many streams? See, this isn’t difficult at all. Now, watch this. Watch this. In this first stream, we got one stream coming down here and it’s going two different ways. Is the gifts of the spirit found in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. The word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, discerning of spirits, miracles, healings, prophecy, tongues and interpretation, gifts of the spirit. Okay? And Pentecostals and charismatics are really heavy on this. Very heavy. Very heavy. All right. And the other stream we have the fruit of the spirit found in Galatians.

▶ 42:43 Love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, meekness, faith, and temperance. Self-control. Self-control. Big difference in the two streams. One is an outward result of what’s happening inside. The other is an outward result, physical healing, a word of wisdom, but does not show and prove there’s a change on the inside. Just letting it soak in. Did you get that over here?

▶ 43:36 The comforter will convict you of sin, righteousness, and the judgment to come. A lot of people in America are convicted. They are convinced. They just don’t bring forth the fruit of their conviction. And they stand strong on the conviction, but they’re not even thinking about bearing in fruit of that conviction. See, Americans don’t need to go to church. See, they’re convicted that God’s building a church, but not to the place where they attend to and become a part. See, they’re convicted that you give to God, but not enough to give to God, their money or their time.

▶ 44:31 See, they’re convicted of a lot of things, right and wrong. They’re convicted that homosexuality is wrong, but they’re not going to stand up to our government and tell the government to change these laws. You see, they have no action behind their conviction. And I talk to them all the time. They agree that abortion’s wrong, but they’re not going to get involved with changing anything about it. You see, they agree that the Muslims are not a peaceful religion, but they’re not going to do anything to change it. See, being convicted is part of the Holy Ghost, but that doesn’t mean you are fruitful.

▶ 45:25 Do you get me? But you go over here to this other side, the fruit of love. See, love is going to show up in change. Instead of hating, you’re going to love. Love covers a multitude of sin. Instead of just, you know, attacking and condemning the sinner, you’re going to try to bring them out of sin. Joy. Christians in America don’t have any joy. And it’s a fruit of the spirit. They only smile when they’re getting something, when everything’s going their way. There was a lot of smiles at Christmas because of presents. But Peter could smile when he was in prison going to die the next day. Big difference.

▶ 46:20 Love, joy, peace. Peter had that peace that passes understanding. Went to sleep knowing he’s going to die the next day. And he had a wife and he had a family. And he was in perfect peace. You see, that showed what a change in their life. 1st Samuel 10:6, the spirit of the Lord will come upon you. Okay? You’re going to meet some prophets and the spirit of the Lord is going to come upon you. Number one, you will prophesy with them. Okay? That’s the gift side, isn’t it? Isn’t it? Yeah. That’s part of the gifts. Number two, you will be changed into a different person. Aha. Change is jumping over here.

▶ 47:13 We got some action. You see now, what does a good wife need? A husband that can prophesy or a husband that’s turned into a different man? A wife that can prophesy or a wife that’s turned into a different woman? Parents that can quote the verses of the Bible and bore you to death with them or parents that are changed and a different person. Hallelujah. Preachers that can give you great inspirational message, but neither the message changes you nor the preacher changes.

Do the gifts of the Spirit prove someone is right with God?

▶ Watch this part (48:17)

Short answer: He says gifts such as tongues, prophecy, healings and miracles mean nothing without the fruit, and reads Matthew 7:22-23 where many prophesied and cast out devils but were told "I never knew you." He reads 1 Corinthians 13 and says the standard is the fruit, not the gifts.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 48:17 Are you with me? Gifts, tongues, interpretation, prophecy, healings, miracles mean nothing. It’s the fruit that makes the home different, the community different, a nation different, a person different. I’ve told you many times, my kids could care the least if I can prophesy. They could care the least if I can preach a bell ringing message. What they want is a dad. Matthew 7:22, “Many will say to me in that day, have we not prophesied in your name?” Prophecy is what? The gift stream cast out devils. It’s the gift stream. Done many miraculous works. It’s the gift stream.

▶ 49:12 Then I will profess to them, I never knew you. You did all these gift things and I didn’t know you. Depart from me, you that work iniquity. God is no respector of persons. People that are used and and folks I’ve told you I’ve met them overseas ministers having sex with the women in the congregation taking the church’s money just and I confront them. You can’t do that. And they say look at the results. There’s healings going on. There’s miracles. I said, “You can’t judge it by that. God loves people.” I said, “He used Judas. Judas was a thief, a crook, a betrayer.

▶ 50:04 And he cast out demons, and he preached the gospel. He healed the sick. The standard is the fruit, not the gifts.” 1 Corinthians 13. This sums it up. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, there is two different kinds of tongues. The tongues of men on the day of Pentecost did not have to be interpreted because they spoke in languages the people that heard them understood. The heavenly language, the tongues of angels, they would have to be interpreted. But they’re mainly used according to first Corinthians, according to Paul to edify yourself. You build up yourself. Everybody else’s understanding is they don’t understand the thing.

What does he say God showed him about speaking in tongues?

▶ Watch this part (50:58)

Short answer: He tells of a time tongues and interpretation did not come, and says God asked whether he had thought about Paul speaking in tongues more than anyone but wanting to prophesy in the church. He says God showed him tongues are a sign for the unbeliever and that Paul may have spoken in the languages of the nations.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 50:58 You’re just a madman talking. Are you there? Now, let me give you a little [unclear] uh spiritual version here. Are you ready for this? A few years ago when I was talking out of first Corinthians on the gifts of the spirit all over the world I have been able to demonstrate tongues and interpretation because I could speak in tongues and I can interpret them and then I go to do it here in this church three or four years ago I forget and nothing came and I was just so confident. I mean a it would yeah just work before. I’ve done it in America just to demonstrate so people see how it worked.

▶ 51:54 Nothing came and I’m going wow. And uh I was a little shocked and I’ve only spoken in tongues a couple of times after that in prayer meetings here to myself. And uh I started saying, “God, what’s wrong with me?” You know, that’s the first thing I think of. Okay, what I do now? He says, “Dave, has it ever occurred to you that Paul spoke in tongues more than anybody?” I said, “Well, I read it, but I can’t really say it occurred to me. I didn’t think on it.” He said, ‘ And yet the same Paul said, ‘In the church, I would rather prophesy and edify and build up the people. So Dave, where did he speak in tongues at?

▶ 52:48 I said, I have no idea. I I am stupid. He says, “Do you ever think about that Paul went to all the Gentile nations with many languages, many dialects, that he spoke in tongues there? He didn’t need an interpreter because he could speak in their language.” I go, “Well, never occurred to me, but sounds like a good idea.” I said, “What’s the punchline on this, Lord?” And he says, “Well, isn’t tongues a sign for the unbeliever?” I said, “You got me there. I’ve preached it over and over, but I think you got me now. You got my attention.” Tongues are a sign that helps unbelievers believe.

▶ 53:47 Why do we want get why do we want to get rid of tongues if it helps unbelievers believe? And why do we want to do it in the church when prophecy will work just fine? And why can’t we speak the languages of the earth like they did on the day of Pentecost? And they didn’t need an interpreter. I go, “Lord, I think you’re trying to expand my understanding.” Wow. I said, “This is unbelievable. My congregation won’t even believe this when I tell them.” That was a couple years ago. And so, I’m telling you now, we need to grow up. We need to start thinking like God thinks and using things in the manner that he uses them.

▶ 54:40 If tongues are a sign for them believer, why should we stop tongues? All right. If Paul spoke in tongues more than y’all and he went out to the nations, it’s obviously God used them to bring in the nations to himself. Wow. And when he was in the church, he didn’t speak in tongue. I said, ‘Lord, that’s revelation. I still got to get this. I still got to work on this one. 1 John 2:1, little children, infants. Now, what was the problem with infants? What was their main problem? Their main weakness?

What does 1 John 2:1 say about the Comforter when we sin?

▶ Watch this part (55:32)

Short answer: He reads 1 John 2:1 that if any of us sins we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, and says the word advocate is the same word as comforter. He says Jesus is the Holy Ghost, God is Jesus and God is the Holy Ghost, and that the promised Spirit of Jesus can still change us if we repent.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 55:32 You forgot already. See, that’s why you need to keep hearing the word. Sin. They still sin. What was their main weapon? See, you guys need to get on this internet and listen to these messages and get them burned into you. Their main weapon was praise and worship. And God would use praise and worship to steal the enemy and avenger. And any Christian can sing hymn, Psalms, and spiritual songs. That’s why a song service is I mean a worship service is very important in the church because God uses it to steal the enemy and the avenger of young Christians. Little children, these things I write unto you that you sin not. See their weakness of sin. If any whether you’re a embryo, an infant, a child, or a young adult or a father, if any of you sin, any level of growth, we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

▶ 56:38 He tells us exactly who the advocate is. I showed you earlier that Jesus was the comforter. The word advocate is the same word for comforter. We have a comforter. He’ll cleanse us and forgive us of our sin. That’s comforting. He plainly tells us who the comforter is. Folks, this Jesus is God. He is powerful. We need him. Without him, we’re nothing. He is the Holy Ghost. He is God. God is Jesus. God is the Holy Ghost.

▶ 57:29 Are you there? And when we fight over these things, we’re fighting over Jesus. And we need to stop fighting over Jesus and get Jesus and all of his aspects. Could that be an amen? The promised spirit of Jesus can still change us if we repent. All we got to do is admit we’re wrong. Admit our doctrine’s wrong. Admit our belief is wrong. Admit our opinions are wrong. Admit our sin is wrong. Ask Jesus to forgive and cleanse it. He will. And then you turn from it and you may stumble and go back but you get up, you repent. That is the divine nature that God has given us to keep getting up from sin’s death and destruction and getting life.

▶ 58:29 That’s the divine nature. That’s why Christians are in a growth process. Galatians 6:7 in closing, don’t be deceived. God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows, so shall he reap. If he sows of the flesh, he will reap corruption. If he sows to the spirit, he will reap life everlasting. God isn’t going to be mocked. That’s why he is no respector of persons. President Obama, the homeless man on the street, all have to repent. Summing it up, God promised, his third promise is the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost would be within us pouring out of us fruits that show change.

— Ezekiel 36:28-30 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:26

Does he say Jesus is the Comforter who comes?

He says Jesus promised not to leave us comfortless and said "I will come to you," so the Comforter that was coming is Jesus himself coming back in spirit form, while his body is in the heavenlies.

Scripture (NKJV)

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

— John 14:16-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:08

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor note: when he says the Joel 2:28 promise is fulfilled in “Acts 21:16,” the passage that quotes Joel is Acts 2:16-18. He says “Apollos prophesied that a famine would come”; the famine prophecy is by Agabus in Acts 11:28, and Acts 6 names Stephen among those who served the widows (the captions spell it “Steven”). He says the new covenant is found in “Hebrews 6 and 8” and Jeremiah; the new covenant passage is Hebrews 8 (quoting Jeremiah 31). The transcript keeps his words as spoken. He quotes 2 Chronicles 19:7, Acts 17:30, John 16:8, 1 Corinthians 14 and John 4:24 without naming the references. The captions garble a few words, shown as [unclear]. He opens by calling this the third promise that brings us into the divine nature and refers back to earlier lessons on the first two divine natures of Christ. He names a real person (President Obama) and speaks about homosexuals, drug and alcohol use, tithing, the Pope, Pentecostals, fundamentalists and charismatics, and says he has led “over 50” homosexuals to Christ with over 30 still serving; these are his own claims and remarks, kept as spoken and not checked here. He also tells of a personal experience in which he says God spoke to him about tongues. Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
