We Can’t Experience Eternal Life Without It Changing Our Life That Now Is 10/27/2019: full transcript and answers

▶ 0:00 We’re going to continue talking about the promise of God in two areas of life. The scriptures gives us the promise and God is cannot lie so he will fulfill his promises and that is the life that now is this life and the life to come eternal life alright now it says in first Timothy 4:8 as we showed you the last time godliness. Now the suffix ness means. Condition of the word that preceded it so the condition or the state of godly being godly serving God doing what’s right is profitable it’s valuable it’s useful so the key thing here is godliness being profitable got it now profitable what and do all things wow all things and then he lists two of those things having the promise of life that now is and the promise of that which is to come first Timothy 4:8 but it’s profitable in all things.

Godly say godly godly don’t you listen to these people that take holiness and righteousness out of the Bible and replace with faith and grace. So. Eternal life is directly report to your life that now is what you do with this life is going to affect this life what you do in this life is going to affect this life. Directly. Proportional. The Bible says in John 17:3 this is eternal life he’s going to define what eternal life is that you may know the only true God the only true God and his son Jesus Christ you can know him and that’s why the word we can’t experience eternal life you can’t experience knowing God and his son without it affecting this life in the flesh there’s just no way now you couldn’t believe you have eternal life and it won’t affect anything you can have faith that you have eternal life and it won’t affect anything but when you experience.

Is that a good amen so you’ve got to get past faith and belief and you got to experience I come across too many peoples of all I believe I believe I believe that’s fine but James says faith without works is dead belief in faith has to move you to an action and here it’s to the action to experience and really know the only true God and his son Jesus Christ you know them and you can’t know them without it affecting your daily life. Too many Christians are trying to live for God on their own if you know him he will move you to live for God he will never lighten up on you he will keep you.

If I am in the democratic party I believe what the democratic party said if I’m in the republican party I would believe what the republican party said back in Christ’s day if I was in the Pharisee religion I believe and acted according to the way the Pharisees did if I was in the Sadducees religion I would believe and act like the Sadducees did I am in them if you are in Christ you. Are a new creature. See there’s a transformation there’s a change all things are passed away the way you live before is gone.

▶ 6:25 Because you are in Christ you know Christ now you have experience eternal life through knowing him and you will become a new creature the old things are passed away all things are become new see that statement is backed up by scripture they’re directly proportional one to another and the more I pursue God and pursue Christ the better I’m going to be in this earth. Because it’s examined directly I don’t need to read a lot of secular books or anything if I pursue him and I pursue his word and keep attaining to his godly life his weight that he said to live. ▶ 9:17 We can back this up also by the ten commandments a rich man came to Jesus and said Lord what good thing shall I do to inherit eternal life and these people that don’t believe in works just happen they have to skirt this scripture with so many words and so many bending of scriptures and it just amazes me that anybody believes them what’s the subject when the rich man came to Christ say eternal life eternal life eternal life. What good thing must I do to obtain eternal life and folks if you don’t have eternal life all the rest is just religious nonsense. Jesus went through them they went through them honor your parents in the Lord if you really know God you’re going to honor and respect your parents in the Lord that means parents that are parents that brought you up in the Bible in the ways of God they were teaching you they were in the Lord see in Christ. Are you there now there’s some bad parents and you don’t want to follow them. But if you really know God you’re going to respect your parent you’re gonna listen to them when they are telling you right stuff and I mean not just through adolescence. But on to adulthood when you become an adult and you had parents that raised you in the Lord you.

▶ 12:18 The best thing you can do to honor them and respect them is to follow the teachings that they gave you in the Lord now that’s a powerful statement folks and so many Christians because they only believe they’re Christians they only believe they have eternal life they disrespect their parents. Hallelujah. Faith without works is dead. So that’s gonna change you. You know I didn’t like a lot of things my parents taught me and and made me do when I was growing up but they were all right things I just did I just didn’t want any confinement and when I got saved immediately. The Holy Spirit changed my outlook on my parents.

Happening have you ever had to go back and apologize to your parents and ask them to forgive you yeah that’s a good sign you know the Lord you. See action behind the word don’t kill don’t murder. Jesus said if you hate your brother you’re a murderer and no murderer has to eternal life that’s what John said in the epistle of John no murderer has eternal life so if you hate people you don’t have eternal life I don’t care if you how much you believe I don’t care how much faith you got you don’t have it turn alive when you have hatred when you despise other people especially fellow Christians.

Christian marriages blaming a spouse without any evidence of the fact and they get their little group to follow them they dream up these things the Lord told me you’re committing adultery or you know yeah you’re doing this you’re doing that well where’s the evidence. Where is the proof. Churches split in America every day.

He had a split in his church now he had over a thousand members when he had a split 400 people left. That’s a big one when you’re little you have little groups leaving but this thing this this this lacking to know God to love your brother and not bear false witness not come up with created things in fantasies are you there and the Bible says mark those who cause division among you and don’t have anything to do with them a lot of our problems is we still associate with those that cause the division why because we don’t know him.

Covet now when this guy came to Jesus Jesus quoted the last five laws and he left out covet a desire for something that is so strong you’ll do anything to get it as the Bible says with your neighbor’s wife your neighbor’s spouse or whatever your neighbor possesses or whatever you’ll do anything to get it it’s called the love of money is the root of all evil the love of things above God is the source of evil of harm and so when Jesus said to him you know you haven’t kept the covet law he went away sorrowful he rejected eternal life for one commandment 1.

▶ 21:04 They come out and they got a two hundred two hundred thousand dollar debt and they got no job skill are you there and I’ve been telling you that for over twenty years it doesn’t do a hill of beans worth of good to go to college if you don’t come out with a job skill you might as well as get in and learn from a journeyman something and specialize in air conditioning or autumn it can’t all these things radiology all these things are not college degree stuff and you can make a living on them can I hear an amen but Christians when they don’t know him. Get a job skill save sex for marriage and babies having babies so after you’re twenty years old you have an eighty five percent chance of being financially successful. So the secular people have finally figured out the Bible’s right yeah and they wanting to give credit to the Bible but I’ve been teaching that for 56 years why because I knew him and he showed me his word he showed me his laws and I could tell people this is the way to live in this life successfully and the ones that followed it they were successful.

▶ 26:00 Yeah. Now. Keep the Sabbath six days you work seven day you keep a Sabbath and also the feast the five feast of Israel firstfruits. Pentecost all of those feasts and I can’t even remember the first one Passover yeah you keep them all right and you keep them holy you don’t take the day off to sin. Are you that you don’t take the day off to break the commandments you keep that holy and in Leviticus he makes it even more clear he says and you respect God’s sanctuary on the Sabbath as when they assembled together.

We are God’s sanctuary and see this backs up what it says in Hebrews forsake not the assembling of yourself together even the more so as you see the day approaching. Provoking one another to love and to good works see encouraging one another to live godly. Live right. That’s what the assembly of the church is supposed to be for through prophecy so songs through prayer it all should be building up people to live godly to love do no harm to others and to do good works didn’t Jesus say let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works not you just talking about but they see in your daily life that now is your good works and brings glory to the father amen.

When I was a boy my parents got saved and I can remember even though I was only four or five years old I can remember to this day they were getting baptized and they had like a white sheet on them or something in the kentucky oh yeah okay in the kentucky river I didn’t know a hill of beans what was going on but I noticed immediately there was a big change in my father. Number one he quit smoking every morning I can hear him hacking huh. Going to the toilet you know in a few months no hacking I. Remember gagging when he smoked in the house I mean ii hate cigarette smoke yeah man it was so nice to be in a house with no gagging.

And time went by and let me tell you they would go to those country folks in my dad dad worked in the coal mine and you know he shoveled coal all day. He would come home clean up and go to church and take us with him I did a lot of sleeping on the pews they didn’t have pews benches or something ain’t happy nothing comfortable about it. So ignited and so strengthened by what people mocked and laughed at. Because they showed some emotion when the presence of God came I didn’t understand all this until the sixties when God saved me and my I got old you know we can laugh at people we can mock them and mostly it’s because we don’t know.

Yeah there were some people that did some extreme things folks it’s gonna happen no matter you don’t call. When you don’t know him it’s easy to mock it’s easy to laugh it’s easy as a pic but when you know him you’re going to respond its directly going to affect your life here.

But when you give the Holy Ghost folks you got it when you get it you can’t have it by faith you have to experience it amen faith without works is dead saying you have the Holy Ghost without really having the Holy Ghost is dead. There’s no empowerment you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you.

▶ 36:09 How do we know we know him because something in us drives us to keep the laws of God the word of God and when we mess up we correct it we change it amen and you cannot know him without a change in this natural life he’s gonna make you love your spouse he’s gonna make you love your children and raised him right he’s gonna make you love your neighbor he’s gonna make you love your brother and sister. And why do we have such wreckage and American christianity divorce and and dysfunctional homes and the rejection of responsibility of raising kids because many Christians don’t know him they believe copeland and joyce myers and all these preachers that say it’s just simply faith if I just believe.

We lash others that don’t agree with us with our tongue and then we wipe our mouths that I’ve done nothing wrong just like the harlot in prague and Proverbs she commits adultery and she wiped your mouth nothing wrong that’s where America is right now in many areas of christianity they don’t agree that it’s wrong why because they’ve been told that eternal life is by faith only and not a meeting with God will you know him that compels you to keep the word of God.
