Vineyard—September 26, 2021: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
A younger speaker teaches from Isaiah 5 that God planted His vineyard with the choicest vine, Jesus, and expects good fruit. Abide in the vine as Zacchaeus and the Emmaus disciples did, and don’t be upset with pruning: God pruned Joseph and Mary to bring more fruit.
How does the service open?
Short answer: With worship: fill your cup with new wine, the river of God, and “make me an offering.”

What is prayed before the message?
Short answer: That His word would pierce our spirit and awaken us if we are dead, as He called Lazarus to come forth.
▶ 24:54 amen. You may find your seats this morning. Scripture in this part
John 11:43 (NKJV)
Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”
— John 11:43 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 24:54 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What are God’s goals for your life?
Short answer: Jesus prayed that His church be made perfect, complete in one, and He loves us through the whole thing.
▶ 26:06 And God’s goal God’s goals for your life in John chapter 17 verse 20 I have some papers up front here for those that like to follow along and fill it out as we go. If you’re uh if you get distracted easily you got a paper for you to fill out. In John 17 verse 20 Jesus has some goals for his church. It says that in this is red letters Jesus spoke it that they may be made perfect he prayed it while he was on the earth he that they may be made perfect complete in one Jesus Christ has a goal for your life he wants to bring you to completion as a Christian and when you accept Christ you are not in a complete mature stage you’ve got to grow and Jesus wants to bring you to that place. That the world may know that you have sent me Jesus Christ wants to bless his people he wants to grow his people bring them to maturity so that the world will know that Jesus has been sent by God right now the world is still trying to figure it out they say that Jesus is a liar they say God is a liar who is God one day God’s gonna show up he’s gonna move in his church a mature church is gonna come forward and everyone will know that Jesus was sent by God.
▶ 27:32 And I have loved them to top it off God loves us through the whole thing do you understand that Jesus Christ he loves you he wants to bring you to this place of maturity this place of growth this place of completion and he’s going to love you through it he’s not going to well he might kick you a little bit on the way along. We know that but that’s love we need that amen. Sometimes people are a little rough with us and we need that because we’re not getting the message. He. And he says here and have loved them as you have loved me see God loves his son Jesus and Jesus and God are the same thing and Jesus wants to love us with that same love powerful love. So God has a goal he wants to bring us to completion maturity.
Scripture in this part
John 17:20-23 (NKJV)
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
— John 17:20-23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 26:06What encouraged him as a young person?
Short answer: Scriptures the older ones shared: the end of a thing is better than its beginning, and all things work for good to those who love God.
▶ 28:25 He wants to show the world that Christ has been sent by God his word is truth and when he’s God’s help so these scriptures here were encouraging as a young person growing up the the the older ones would share these scriptures with me and they were powerful and I held on to them Ecclesiastes 7 8 says the end of a thing is better than its beginning you know when you start out you get discouraged you get uh upset and you’re not sure what’s going on in life but the scriptures say the end of thing is better than its beginning the end of a season is better than its beginning you may have a season in God where it just seems like you’re you’re in so much trouble you’ve got to go through it God will bring you through it and in the end you will see that it is great God is doing something wonderful in you but stick with God hang on you see a little cat out there he’s hanging on.
▶ 29:22 Romans 8:21 we know all things work together for good for those who love God to those who are called according to his purpose see this is a powerful scripture and people I’ve said it before and people like yeah I know that one that all things work together for good but it says to those who love God if you know what that means the scriptures say if you love me you’ll keep my word are you pursuing God are you keeping his commandments those of us out there that are Christians and and sometimes we think that we can bring our sin to Jesus and you know he’s got to accept us how we are this is saying it’ll work together for your good when you love God when you keep his commandments. You do not bring your doctrines your opinions to him and say hey you got to follow me no you have to follow him and love him that’s the greatest commandment the first commandment to those who are called according to his purpose we are all called to repent that is your purpose number one everyone I have I what does it say.
Scripture in this part
Ecclesiastes 7:8 (NKJV)

— John 14:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 29:22 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is my calling?
Short answer: Step one is to repent; God commands all men everywhere to repent, and look unto Jesus.
▶ 30:31 I am calling in Acts 17 it says I am calling all to repent all men everywhere step one he is calling you to repent. Turn from sin Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus so I’m saying that because if you’re looking for a calling that is step one calling is to repent every one of us you don’t need some special calling and and people to raise their hands over there and do some magical thing God is calling you with the scriptures. Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross Jesus died on that cross because he is going to offer your faith he’s going to finish the good work he began in you it’s powerful those scriptures you can hang on to them you can you can quote them they will encourage you in the state that you’re at and the places that you are.
Scripture in this part
Acts 17:30 (NKJV)
Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,
— Acts 17:30 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:31 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
— Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:31What does the vineyard of Isaiah 5 mean?
Short answer: God prepared it and planted the choicest vine, Jesus Christ, and expected good grapes; He expects us to bring forth good fruit.
▶ 31:34 In Isaiah chapter 5 verse 1 we’re talking about the vineyard that’s the title of this message my well beloved has a vineyard he dug it up he cleared out its stones he prepared it he got it ready he he he bought a plot of land he got it all prepared and ready to plant a vineyard and he planted it with the choicest vine that is Jesus Christ the choicest, the best the most premium. Fine that is Jesus Christ you cannot find a better vine anywhere he didn’t go get some other God that some man made up he didn’t go get an idol and make it and put it no he got the best the choice the premium that is Jesus Christ my cry my Jesus is premium he is the best he is the highest amen.
▶ 32:30 He built a tower in its midst he made a winepress and he expected it to bring forth good grapes do you understand that see Jesus God his church he is expecting us to bring forth good fruit. See there’s that expectation. When you accept Christ come to him that he wants to take you somewhere he wants to bring you to maturity maturity of what bringing forth fruit he is expecting you to go toward bringing toward fruit and when you start out you’re not you know you’re gonna have a hard time but you gotta the end of a thing that is better than its beginning right God’s gonna bring it to pass. But and so. Understand. That when you’re thinking in your mind that you’re gonna just keep living in sin and and be dead and trespasses and sin that is not the way you should be going.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 5:1-2 (NKJV)
Now let me sing to my Well-beloved A song of my Beloved regarding His vineyard: My Well-beloved has a vineyard On a very fruitful hill. He dug it up and cleared out its stones, And planted it with the choicest vine. He built a tower in its midst, And also made a winepress in it; So He expected it to bring forth good grapes, But it brought forth wild grapes.
— Isaiah 5:1-2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:34What are wild grapes?
Short answer: Stink berries, stinky fruit; thank God He has the pruner.
▶ 33:30 God has a goal for you God wants to bring you to maturity God is expecting something. Amen. Why then when I expected it to bring forth good grapes did it bring forth wild grapes that word wild I looked it up and it’s also stink berries. Stinkberries. Stinky fruit. Why did it bring forth stinky fruit sometimes we bring forth fruit and it stinks you know I’ve brought forth fruit before and it stinks. You know and thank God he’s got the pruner he just goes okay get that out of here. And so God is expecting us to bring forth good fruit amen. Jesus says with red letters John 15:1 I am the true vine as I said earlier he’s the choice is fine and my father is divine dresser God is going throughout the vineyard and he is taking care of things making sure things are watered making sure things are in the right place making sure there’s no thorns growing making sure the animals are not coming in uprooting things God is taking care of his church his people.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 5:4 (NKJV)
What more could have been done to My vineyard That I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes, Did it bring forth wild grapes?
— Isaiah 5:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 33:30What fruit should we bear?
Short answer: The fruit of the Spirit, including self-control; be patient with yourself but start making steps today.
▶ 34:46 And if God is not you feel like God’s not taking care of you you could be in a season or you could be trying to get out of the vineyard and God’s not keeping that up you’re exposing yourself. Mark chapter 4 verse 20. Those who hear the word accept it and bear fruit so we want to bear that fruit Galatians chapter 5 verse 22 the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace longsuffering kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self-control goodness. You see some point in your life you want to bring forth fruit that is good your behavior your actions are good good what does good mean you got to line it up with God’s word his word tells you what good is not your opinions of what good is you know the world today knows how to twist all kinds of words they know how to twist love they know how to twist kindness they know how to twist good they’re twisting these words you go to the book you go to the Bible you go to Jesus and he has a a definition of what love is.
▶ 36:01 Self-control. Imagine that in America as controlling ourselves. That is a fruit of the spirit it’s important. And so whatever state you’re in you know if you’re a young person and you’ve made some bad choices in your life Jesus Christ wants to bring you to this place where you’re bringing forth this fruit Jesus Christ will be patient with you you’ve got to be patient with yourself but you have to start making steps toward that goal today I’m going to control myself in this area tomorrow you know you’ve gotta start making steps. And you’ve gotta. Uh we’re gonna learn here in just a moment the keys to bearing fruit what are some of the keys the the the secrets the the things that we need to do John 15 verse 5 he says he who abides in me and I in him bears much fruit so he gives you the answer right there you’ve got to abide in him you’ve got to dwell in him a lot of us are not dwelling in God we’re dwelling in the world we’re dwelling in everything but God amen.
Scripture in this part
Mark 4:20 (NKJV)
But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”
— Mark 4:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 34:46Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
— Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 34:46What happens if we disconnect from the vine?
Short answer: Without Him we can do nothing; if you don’t go to church, His word or prayer, nothing flows.
▶ 37:19 For without me you can do nothing and you see when you look at a vine. And you just look at it and you see uh okay the fruits here the vines down here if you separate yourself from the vine. Nothing’s going to happen. You’ve disconnected yourself from Christ and when you do when you disconnect yourself from Christ when you don’t abide in Christ you’re not going to get anything from him you don’t go to church you don’t go to his word you don’t spend time in prayer nothing’s gonna happen. And I have a little picture here this guy is cutting the vine you guys see that let me play it again he’s going too fast he cut it and you see the water the nutrients all that is coming out of the vine it’s a one-way it’s a one-way thing God Jesus is bringing all this life and this the nutrients from the soil and the water from the ground and he’s taking it up to you and when you are connected you get all that but when you just disconnect yourself you can see here that you are separating yourself from the life of Jesus Christ that he has for you the life that is in the vine.
Scripture in this part
John 15:5 (NKJV)
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
— John 15:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 37:19 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How did Zacchaeus abide with Jesus?
Short answer: He sought Jesus, overcame obstacles and climbed a tree; Jesus saw him and said I must abide at your house today.
▶ 38:44 The water is flowing through the vine the light the nourishment is flowing through the vine. And we’re going to look at Zacchaeus in Luke chapter 9 verse 6. Zacchaeus he made haste now Zacchaeus the Bible says he was a rich ruler he uh the people said about him that he was a sinner so we have a sinner and we have a rich ruler uh you know his riches weren’t cutting it for him. You know he was known as a sinful man. But Zacchaeus. Was told by Jesus this is red letter Jesus said to him Zacchaeus hurry up come down today I must abide in your house and Jesus went and stayed the night and Zacchaeus had the opportunity to serve Christ in his house probably overnight and for a few days maybe one day I don’t know but Jesus.
▶ 39:48 Came over and they had a a slumber party. Just kidding. He sought to see Jesus. Do we seek after God Zacchaeus was seeking to see Jesus to find him are you seeking him this is what this word abide. Abiding in Christ are you looking for him do you spend time looking for him he ran ahead he is overcoming obstacles he was short so he couldn’t see there was a big crowd you know there’s obstacles in finding Jesus. So you’ve got to come up with some solutions there’s obstacles in your life that you’ve got to come up with some solutions for how can I get to Jesus that is the kind of question you have to think in your mind and see naturally how can I get to him what do I need to do if I’ve got to get on my knees I will do it if I’ve got to go to that church that I hate I’ll do it.
▶ 40:50 He ran ahead climbed up a tree to see him because he was going to pass that way Jesus came and he saw him see Jesus saw saw Zacchaeus the whole time Jesus knows what’s going on and he sees you when you are seeking him and pursuing him he sees what you’re doing. Before you find him. But Jesus came he saw him and he spoke to him don’t we want Jesus coming to us. Seeing us. Speaking to us. You know when Jesus speaks to you it’s a powerful life-changing experience especially when you obey what he has to say to you.
Scripture in this part
Luke 19:3-6 (NKJV)
And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.
— Luke 19:3-6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 38:44 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What happened on the road to Emmaus?
Short answer: They constrained Jesus to stay; He broke bread and their eyes were opened. Invite Him into your busy schedule.
▶ 41:37 And Jesus’s reply to him or his word to him was I must abide at your house today and another story on the road to Emmaus this is after Jesus rose from the grave in Luke 24 it says that they constrained him and Jesus had just finished explaining and expounding the the Old Testament to them and they’re talking with they don’t know that it’s Jesus Christ they don’t know their eyes it says were constrained from seeing him but it says that Jesus was going to go on to another city and these men they stopped him and they said wait wait wait hold on here don’t go anywhere they constrain him they say hey hey hey no no come come with us. You know they had made plans. They had their destination they knew where they were going.
▶ 42:32 And Jesus was with them and they constrained Jesus they convinced Jesus to come with them in your life today maybe you are working hard maybe you’re raising kids you can get get to a place where you can convince Jesus to come along with what’s going on in your life you can include him you can get him in there. You know no matter what state you were in there are no there there’s no excuses. It says that he went in to abide with them because they invited him they they constrained they convinced him and Jesus was acting like I gotta keep going they said okay I’ll come. On your way to work you can be driving you can take God with you on your breaks you can take God with you you can find when you’re raising a family you can take God with you you’re young and you’re busy you’re old and you’re busy you can take God with you you can find a way to get God into what you’re doing.
▶ 43:42 Into your busy schedule. Invite him wherever you’re at today and he will come. And. When he went and stayed with them. They he took bread Jesus blessed it broke it and gave it to them and their eyes were opened don’t you want your eyes open to see some things that Jesus wants you to see in your life don’t you want your eyes open to see to understand. You know you got people have all these questions in life and they’ll go to this guy and that guy and this speaker and you know this youtube channel they’ll go to the they won’t go to Jesus. And he’ll open your eyes.
▶ 44:36 He’ll open your understanding. And you won’t even be asking those dumb questions anymore. What do I do with my life where am I going you understand when you talk with him. You’re gonna be asking yourself after that how do I get more of him how can I grow in Jesus that’s my purpose that’s my goal how can I do what the master wants me to do. And it says they knew him. Do you know Jesus. Have you met with him have you experienced him have you encountered Christ. They knew him. And so we learn from these guys it’s important to invite Jesus bring him constrain him. You need him with you abiding in the vine you got to spend time with him no matter what your schedule is no matter what’s going on in your life Jesus is willing to come.
Scripture in this part
Luke 24:29-31 (NKJV)
But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.
— Luke 24:29-31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 41:37 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does “come and see” teach?
Short answer: Jesus asked what seek ye; they went and spent the day with Him. Are you making an effort to go where Jesus is?
▶ 45:39 He’s looking for people that want him John 1:38. Jesus turned and saw them following and he said what seek ye and he said where are you staying and Andrew was there and Jesus said unto him go come and see and they came and they spent the day with Jesus and it was about the 10th hour if you got you know whether you’re busy or not busy whatever you’re doing these guys they went and spent time with Jesus are you making an effort to go where Jesus is spend time with him that’s how we abide in the vine without the vine you can do nothing without Jesus dwelling in you you can do nothing you’re not going to grow. And Andrew Peter’s brother he went and found Peter and said we have found the Christ isn’t it a wonderful thing when you find something you know I have like a few ten things on my list that I lost that I’m looking for at home okay I got a Bible lost around here somewhere I got a battery charger I cannot find at home I got some lost thing but when I find that thing I’m going to be really excited.
Scripture in this part
John 1:38-39 (NKJV)
Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?” He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).
— John 1:38-39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 45:39Can I reconnect with Jesus?
Short answer: Yes; you can find Jesus again, and the truth will set you free; freedom is not found in sin.
▶ 46:57 I mean that little thing they found the king of kings the Lord of lords I mean isn’t it a wonderful thing. And maybe in your life and where you’re at today you feel like you are not connected to Jesus anymore. Get re you can get reconnected with Jesus again you can find Jesus you know I have all these things that I lost that were really awesome. And I haven’t been able to use them. But I I want to find them again that’s the way it is with Jesus you can find them again. But you got to be looking you got to be going to where he’s at you got to spend time where he made and he came back and they said we found him. Amen John 8:31 explains even more if you continue in my word God it says in the scriptures abide in my word if you continue my word you are my disciples indeed you want to be a disciple we’ve got to continue we’ve got to abide in his word you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free we don’t just abide in Jesus and nothing happens the truth sets us free from sin there’s some great benefits that come along with this.
Scripture in this part
John 8:32 (NKJV)
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
— John 8:32 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 48:21 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Ephesians 4:14 (NKJV)
that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
— Ephesians 4:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 48:21 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Why does God prune fruitful branches?
Short answer: So they bear more fruit; growers cut 80 to 90 percent of the vine.
▶ 48:22 You’re not gonna be tossed around by every wind and doctrine you’re not gonna be you know wondering this and that no the truth’s gonna set you free. Freedom is not found in sin or the pleasures of this life it is found in Jesus Christ in his word that is where you find freedom the world has us all mixed around all backwards we think that freedom is in sin we think that freedom is in. Doing what we want to do I’m going to do what I want to do. And the second thing second key to bearing fruit is to let Jesus let God prune you and it gives us a hint here of what he’s talking about it says every branch that is not very fruit he takes away but every branch that bears fruit.
▶ 49:35 Bears fruit he what he prunes. That it may be more fruitful. Okay so this is somebody who is actually bearing fruit in their life and God comes and he prunes it. So what so what can happen there can be more fruit. Now you look at this vine. It starts out at the beginning of the season like this it’s just one strand but at the end of the growth season it grows into this big big vine bush that has clusters of grapes on it. Every season they say that 80 to 90 percent of the vine is pruned.
Scripture in this part
John 15:2 (NKJV)
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
— John 15:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 48:22 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How did God prune Joseph?
Short answer: Slavery, then prison; he kept bearing fruit, and God brought a great deliverance through him.
▶ 50:28 Wow. God I don’t want to lose 80 of me. So they take these vines and they’ll cut. And just leave one with two buds that’s it it’s pretty there’s a big science to this I was looking this up and I was like wow this is complex this is not just you know growing bushes out. So when we look at Joseph. Joseph when it started out he was an honest young man. He was given dreams by God and he honored his father he was bearing forth good fruit his but his brothers were not his brothers were had a bad reputation they were doing their thing they were sinning.
▶ 51:33 And so God comes with the pruning. And he goes hey you’re doing really well let me se put you into slavery. His brothers hated him and sold him into slavery. So Joseph gets sold to Potiphar and he becomes successful. And he’s prospering in Potiphar’s house and God was with him so he’s bringing forth what good fruit. And all of a sudden here we go again pruning again. But what is the purpose what is the goal God is wanting to bring more something more out of this situation. And you’ll see that in the end then we have Potiphar’s wife lied about him Joseph was thrown into prison wrongfully this is all wrong you know this is wrongfully against Joseph but he is still bearing fruit but you see this pruning situation is happening he found favor with the prison keeper and he helped the prison keeper and in every one of these situations.
▶ 52:44 It says that the prison keeper Potiphar even Pharaoh himself did not look into anything that Joseph was doing because they trusted him they could entrust it with Joseph. And everything was blessed with what Joseph was doing. And so. Here he is he’s bearing fruit in prison he’s working he wasn’t you know these movies have him in his cell just you know wasting away for years no he was working in the prison. For the prison keeper he’s like I don’t want to sit in here. He’s got I can help you with that. Somehow they. They uh figured out he was trustworthy and they just gave him the reins in the prison.
▶ 53:36 He’s like oh I got a prison job now. And at the end. He became second in command under Pharaoh and Joseph through Joseph he was able to save his people from the famine. You so that’s that more fruit that God was leading up to he pruned and he pruned and he pruned and God brought a great deliverance through Joseph that’s just so powerful. So don’t see God’s pruning as something that is going that’s destructive it is something to that will take you to a new growth a new height. If you can control your your uh anxiety and I can’t you can God will bring you through it.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 39:2-4 (NKJV)
The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.
— Genesis 39:2-4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 51:33 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Genesis 39:22-23 (NKJV)
And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper.
— Genesis 39:22-23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 52:44 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How was Mary pruned?
Short answer: She was keeping herself and bearing good fruit, and God gave her something more; He can use you to reach and deliver people.
▶ 54:32 Mary she was a virgin the angel Gabriel came to a virgin named mary she was a virgin and her statement to the angel was how can this be since I have not known a man she was keeping she was doing what was right right she was keeping herself until marriage she was following God she was bringing forth good fruit and then the angel comes and says I’m gonna put a baby in you and she’s like oh what. Wait a second do you know what that means. I’m not married yet do you know what happens around here. But you see the pruning. God brought forth his son through this woman and we can be the same way Jesus can bring I’m sorry God can bring his son through us to other people and it’s a powerful thing when you let God prune you and so that you can bear more fruit as you go go on in life and be growing in christianity.
Scripture in this part
Luke 1:34 (NKJV)
Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
— Luke 1:34 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 54:32 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the call to respond?
Short answer: God expects good fruit; don’t be upset with pruning, and abide in Him.
▶ 55:40 He can use you to reach and deliver people and it’s him doing it but God he does the work he does the work in you he does the work for the people but you can be a part of it and you can grow along with it and it’s a beautiful powerful thing. So I want to remind you that God expects his people as the worship team comes I want to remind you that God is expecting us to bring forth good fruit he cleared out that vineyard he cleared out that plot of land and he expects it to bring forth good fruit God has everything necessary has given you everything that you need so that you can get to that place of growth and bringing forth good fruit he has died on the cross the scriptures say he is the author and the finisher of your faith he is the beginning in the end there is nothing that Jesus cannot do to help you come to maturity to come to completion to come to perfection Jesus can do that in you he will do that in you but you’ve got to stick with the king of kings and Lord lords if you want to bear fruit in your life you’ve got to abide in Jesus Christ if you have no room in your life for Jesus right now if you have no room in your life for his church for his word for spending experiencing his
▶ 57:11 presence you don’t even know what his presence is you’ve got to find these things man. God has got wonderful things for you but you’ve got to abide in him.
