From the sermonUnderstanding Hate and Persecution · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

In this session on present truth, Pastor David G. Kincer recaps the seasons of the last days and then turns to recognizing hatred and persecution. From John 15 and Second Timothy 3:12 he says believers are hated for following Jesus and living godly, shows that John the Baptist, Jesus and Stephen were killed for speaking morally, recounts early martyrs, the Inquisition and modern persecution, and urges American Christians to stand for Bible morality.

What does it mean to be established in present truth?

▶ Watch this part (0:01)

Short answer: He says God accomplishes his purposes in times and seasons, the children of Issachar understood God’s times, and Second Peter 1:12 says to be established in present truth. He recaps that we are in the last days, the salvation season, plural days in which God poured out his Spirit in 1900, 1948 and 1968, and in a 2,000-year season of false prophets and antichrists.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:01 Again I’d like to thank you for coming and join us in another session of present truths. Remember we have found that God has a purpose under heaven and he accomplishes that in a time and a season First Corinthians 12:38 tells us the children of Issachar had understanding of God’s times God’s seasons to know what Israel ought to do and so if we’re going to be established in present truth as II Peter 1:12 says we need to know what present truth is. Remember. We found that we are living in the last days we’re in the last day season. Which is the salvation season people can come to Christ and be saved from their sins in this season the last days is plural there’s more than one day one season one happening in these last days and we don’t know how long they are.

▶ 1:07 And he says I’ll pour out my spirit in those days plural again before the day singular of the Lord comes. And so God did he poured out his Holy Spirit in 1900 1948 1968. The last days. We also found were in the false prophet and the antichrist season. Present truth the present truth is we are living and we have been living for 2,000 years in the false prophet season and the antichrist season from the time Jesus began to preach there was false prophets even before that when he began to preach they were antichrist they that opposed Christ or antichrist he didn’t come in the flesh wasn’t born of a virgin didn’t rise from the dead or whatever.

What are the clues of false prophets, and where does persecution start?

▶ Watch this part (2:04)

Short answer: He recaps that false prophets say sin is okay, are in it for the money and behave immorally. He says Jesus’ followers are hated, and it starts in their own family: the more you want to serve God the more people separate from you, and it can branch out to persecution and martyrdom by all nations until the end.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:04 And we found false prophet clues were they say sin is okay they’re in it for the money. They behave immorally. And we found that there’s a future projection. When some of these false prophets will do signs and wonders but we haven’t seen that yet. We found we’re in the season. The time where Jesus followers are hated they’re mistreated. And it starts in their own family. The more you want to serve God and do what’s right the more people want to separate from you your friends change and then it can branch out to persecution and even martyrdom. But. We found that all nations were going to persecute the church until the end.

Has the falling away already happened?

▶ Watch this part (3:02)

Short answer: He says Christ could not have come before the 1500s because all nations were not yet known. He says the great falling away already happened in the dark ages, from 476 A.D. to around 1500, and end-time prophets troubling people that Jesus is coming any minute are doing what the Bible says not to be shaken by.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:02 And all nations were not discovered until the 1500s so God couldn’t have come before the 1500s because we didn’t know there was other nations out there and people who prophesied his coming before that missed it because they didn’t understand understand the scripture that we don’t know. That’s put in the hands of God and these things have to be fulfilled. We found we’re in the season of falling away. Has already happened. And will it happen again that’s up to God but we know in history there was a great falling away of the church of Christianity. Uh we call them the dark ages from 476

▶ 3:57 A.D. to around 1500 a little bit before. There was a tremendous falling away the church was very corrupt and it says don’t be troubled. By spirit or by word don’t be shaken in your mind that the day of the Lord is at hand let no man deceive you and this is what end time prophets are doing they’re just troubling the minds and the hearts of God’s people thinking that any minute Jesus is going to come when the Bible says don’t be shaken by these people don’t be shaken by these people. We also found that the gospel. Will be preached to all nations as a witness. And so we and then shall the end come so we know because of this scripture.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 (NKJV)

not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

— 2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:11 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Has the gospel been preached to all nations, and is knowledge increasing?

▶ Watch this part (4:52)

Short answer: From Matthew 24:14 he says the gospel has not been preached to all nations as a witness, because if it had, the end would come. He says we are in the season of increasing knowledge since the printing press, and the book of Daniel was sealed until the time of the end, when the wise shall understand, so wisdom will be restored.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:52 The gospel has not been preached to all nations. Because if it has, the end comes. And that’s in Matthew 24:14. North and South America had not even been. Discovered till the 1500s Australia and the islands of the seas and so people who predicted the second coming before this time didn’t know what they were talking about because God has to fulfill these scriptures. Jesus said everything every jot and every tittle of the word will be fulfilled. We also found. That there will be an increase in knowledge. And we. Found that we are living in that season of increase in knowledge and technology industrial revolution the printing press being invented in 1440 just started changing everything where they used to hand write 40 pages a day now they could print 3600 pages a day books became cheap knowledge began to increase.

▶ 6:05 And we’ve got to remember that the book was sealed until the time of the end even Daniel did not understand what God was talking about in Daniel 11 and 12. And he said I I hear you but I don’t understand it and he says this book is sealed up until the time of the end many will be purified made white and tried people are going to be saved people are going to be following God the wicked will do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand but the wise shall understand so there’s going to be a restoration of wisdom so I’m going to be one of the things restored. We also found that restoration and refreshing times have come from the presence of the Lord in Acts 3. And there’s more to come. Till the end.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 24:14 (NKJV)

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

— Matthew 24:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:04
Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 5:18 (NKJV)

For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

— Matthew 5:18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:27 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

Daniel 12:8-10 (NKJV)

Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?” And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

— Daniel 12:8-10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:30 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Why hasn’t Jesus come yet, and are disasters signs of the end?

▶ Watch this part (6:58)

Short answer: He says Jesus has to remain in the heavens until all things are restored, so there is more to be done, and if you are dry and dead, let Jesus refresh you and restore the wasted years. He says wars, quakes, famines and plagues have been present since Jesus preached, but Jesus said “the end is not yet.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:58 Because Jesus it says there and Acts 3:18 has to remain in the heavens until all things are restored. If all things were restored. Jesus would have come already. So obviously there’s more to be done. And so we’re in the seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord if you’re dry and dead let Jesus refresh you let Jesus build you up let Jesus restore the wasted years. We also found in Luke 21:11. That wars quakes. Famines plagues. Are present truths and have been present truth since Jesus started preaching himself.

▶ 7:52 But we found it’s not a sign of the end. Jesus himself said. The end is not yet. Don’t be troubled for such things must happen they must needs be, the end shall not be yet and so many end time prophets put a focus and an importance on the fact that we have wars earthquakes famines and plagues and diseases throughout the earth and Jesus said that’s not a sign of the end that’s just going to happen and so we’re living in the season where wars and earthquakes and famines and hurricanes and all these things plagues are going to be happening that’s the season we’re living in. We also found we live in the present true season of Israel becoming a nation.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 3:19-21 (NKJV)

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 21:9-11 (NKJV)

And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.

— Luke 21:9-11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:35

What does Israel becoming a nation tell us?

▶ Watch this part (8:52)

Short answer: He says Jesus told those who asked about restoring the kingdom to Israel that it is not for us to know the times and seasons, yet end-time prophets claim to know. He notes Israel became a nation in 1948, the same year God poured out his Spirit on the church, but says that does not mean natural Israel is spiritual.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:52 And Jesus said. To those who ask him will you at this time restore the kingdom of Israel Jesus said it’s not for you to know the times and the seasons which the father has put in his own authority. And all these end time prophets are trying to tell us they know. What Jesus said we couldn’t know. And Israel became a nation in 1948. Uh very interesting one of the times when he poured out his spirit was in 1948 and brought restoration back to the church he was moving in natural Israel at the same time doesn’t mean natural Israel is spiritual as we will find. Today we’re going to look at. Recognizing acknowledging.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 1:6-7 (NKJV)

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

— Acts 1:6-7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:58 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Why does the world hate followers of Jesus?

▶ Watch this part (9:47)

Short answer: From John 15:19-20 he says Jesus chose us out of the world, so the world hates us, and if they persecuted him they will persecute us. He compares it to marriage, when old suitors stopped liking him, and from Second Timothy 3:12 and John 15:16 gives two reasons: having an encounter with Jesus to follow him, and living godly.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:47 And perhaps having to flee from persecution and hatred. John 15:19 I chose you out of the world for this reason the world hates you see I chose you Jesus said I came and had an encounter with you I came to you. And he goes on to say the servant is not greater than his Lord if they have persecuted me they will persecute you ooh. Now. When I married my wife Rebecca she was a very beautiful woman who had many suitors. But when I married her those guys that were interested in her didn’t like me anymore. They hated me and girls that were interested in me didn’t like her anymore and that’s the way it is with Jesus we have an encounter with him things change.

▶ 10:45 We come out of the world she come out of the single life we come out of the world and then the world hates us because we’re not part of that anymore second Timothy 3:12 says all that live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution so here’s two reasons when we have an encounter with Jesus to follow him and when we live godly in this present world people are going to mistreat us. And so these are two of the reasons. Christians get persecuted biblical reasons John 15:16 says you have not chosen me but I have chosen you and I’ve ordained appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain you’re not up and down you’re not in God and backslidden the next day you remain steadfast and you produce fruit those are the Bible.

Scripture (NKJV)

John 15:19-20 (NKJV)

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

— John 15:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:20

When is persecution profitable, and why was John the Baptist martyred?

▶ Watch this part (11:46)

Short answer: He says there is no profit in being persecuted for doing wrong, only for doing good and following Jesus. He says John the Baptist was martyred because he told the king, from Leviticus 20:21, that it was not lawful to have his brother’s wife; he told civil government that laws needed to be moral and it cost him his head.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 11:46 Accepted reasons for persecution when you do wrong and persecuted the Bible says what profit is in that it’s when you do good and when you follow me and you’re persecuted then there’s profit in it so we’re going to look at some recorded Bible martyrs and persecutions. John the Baptist Jesus Stephen and James were all martyred James in 44 A.D. Paul Peter John the apostles and the church which were scattered they fleed the persecution were all persecuted now why was John martyred in Mark 6:18 he told Herod the king the government of the land it’s not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife quoting out of Leviticus 20:21 if a man takes his brother’s wife it’s an unclean thing and John told civil government.

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Peter 2:20 (NKJV)

For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.

If a man takes his brother’s wife, it is an unclean thing. He has uncovered his brother’s nakedness. They shall be childless.

— Leviticus 20:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:29

Why were Jesus and Stephen killed?

▶ Watch this part (12:39)

Short answer: He says Jesus was martyred for the same reason: he spoke publicly and morally challenged people, “unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Stephen was killed for his speech to the religious leaders in Acts 7:51. He gives three motives for persecution: speaking Bible morality, choosing to follow Jesus, and living Bible morality, which exposes you as a Christian.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:39 That they needed. To be moral and that laws needed to be moral and it cost him his head he was martyred for it why was Jesus martyred. Same reason John was martyred he spoke. Publicly and morally challenged the public unless you repent you will all likewise perish in Luke 13:3 you scribes Pharisees hypocrites you make a proselyte two times the child of hell as yourself you’re making religious members going to hell like you are Matthew 23:15. John 8:44 you are of your father the Devil because his lust you desire to do that’s the way Jesus spoke and they didn’t like it and they killed him. Why was Stephen martyred.

▶ 13:34 Because of his speech to religious people he was brought before the Sanhedrin and those that were there the Jewish leaders he says you are a stubborn. Generation and uncircumcised in heart and ears Acts 7:51. You resist the Holy Ghost as your fathers did you’re just like your your predecessors persecuting and killing the prophets of Jesus the just one whom you betrayed and murdered and you received the law and you have not kept it and they got mad. By his speech and killed him so three spiritual motives for persecutions and martyrdom the Bible. Speaking morally about the Bible to people and to civil religious leaders choosing Jesus have an encounter with him to follow him is the second one speech is the top one they’re going to hate you and persecute you for that when you start talking and living Bible morality living Bible morality exposes your belief in the first two it’s like the Nazis in the World War II when they come up to a person they thought was a Jew a young man and he says no I’m not a Jew they would say well take down your pants and when he took down his pants if he was circumcised they knew he was a Jew.

— Acts 7:51-52 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:50

How were the apostles and early Christians martyred?

▶ Watch this part (14:56)

Short answer: He says Christians are exposed when they live morally. From Foxe’s Book of Martyrs he lists apostles and early believers who were crucified, beheaded, stoned, hanged, cut to pieces or exiled, as Jesus predicted.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:56 See Christians. Are exposed. When they live morally you can’t hide the fact that you’re a Christian. Early church martyrs as Jesus predicted. Taken from Foxe’s Book of Martyrs. Those crucified were Peter in 68 A.D. they crucified him upside down. Jude. Was crucified in 76 A.D. Bartholomew. Simeon. Philip. Philip was crucified in 54 A.D. and Andrew. Who was killed by the [unclear]. And beheaded there are crucified there and those beheaded were Paul in 68 A.D. by Nero the emperor of Rome.

▶ 15:57 Matthias was beheaded. They stoned him and then they beheaded him in Jerusalem he never left Jerusalem he was there preaching the gospel. Other means such as hanging quartering where they pull you apart. Stoning. Thomas. He died in Asia. Uh by [unclear] India’s pagan priest Luke was hanged by the pagan priests of Greece Matthew in 60 A.D. was cut into was pieces with a axe blade. Uh Barnabas in 73 A.D. was killed. James the author of the book of James was stoned by the Jews at age 94.

What does the story of the young martyr in the arena teach?

▶ Watch this part (16:50)

Short answer: He tells of a 22-year-old new believer with a nursing infant whose father and husband urged her to renounce Christ; she would not, and was given to the wild beasts. He says she put modesty before her pain and wanted to die looking noble for Jesus Christ, though she was simply persecuted for believing in Christ.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:50 Mark was dragged to pieces in Alexandria Egypt John was tarred and feathered and exiled to Patmos and Perpetua. Was a 22 year old lady that just got saved was going to catechism they raided the catechism in 2003 A.D. and they arrested her and some other ones to re study in the Bible she’s a young believer she’s got an infant child on the breast being breast fed she’s married she’s got an old aging father they beat her father her father tried to get her to renounce Christ her husband tried to get her to renounce Christ they took her baby away from her trying to get her to renounce Christ and she wouldn’t do it and they gave her to the wild beast in the arena as an amusement.

▶ 17:42 For all these people to see. And when the beast attacked her they tore off her clothes and she grabbed him quickly and covered herself putting modesty before her pain she even put her hair back up after the beast attacked her because she didn’t want to die looking like one of the pagans who had given up she wanted to die looking noble for Jesus Christ very powerful story. And many nobodies like her see she wasn’t preaching the gospel she didn’t have time to live morally she just believed in Christ and was persecuted for it pagans persecuted and martyred Christians Persians which is Iraq and Iran today East German Goths and Vandals Africa India Muslims and the Catholic Inquisition from 1184 to 1800 A.D. for simply saying you believe the Bible is the only source of God’s truth.

Why did the Inquisition and later Protestants persecute people?

▶ Watch this part (18:45)

Short answer: He says the Inquisition persecuted people for saying the Bible is the only source of God’s truth and rejecting the mass, penance, indulgences and the pope as God on earth. He says Protestants then persecuted Catholics, other Protestants and pagans over sacraments and baptisms, not for godly living but because they did not agree with one another.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 18:45 The cup and bread is not Jesus’s body and blood. Nor is penance necessary Jesus paid the price I don’t have to do anything to be forgiven except believe in him and confess my sin rejecting idols rejecting the pope as God on earth rejecting mass because it didn’t profit anything and indulgences would you do something to get forgiveness of sin if you said you read the Bible and if you said you were a Protestant. The Inquisition. Would come and question you and kill you take your property. And persecute your family after you. But then the Protestants turned around and did what the Catholics did to them they persecuted Protestants and Catholics and pagans.

▶ 19:37 And they persecuted him over sacraments over baptisms water baptism Holy Spirit baptism baptism in the body of Christ infant baptism. They persecuted Catholics because they were afraid the pope’s authority over the civil. Nation and the church would destroy the nation and bring persecution and so they persecuted Catholics for believing that and follow it. And then they just persecuted for having different doctrines they weren’t persecuted for godly moral living for moral preaching or believing in and following Jesus it was simply they were persecuting one another because they didn’t agree with one another. Now. Why were these in modern day.

Why are Christians martyred in modern times?

▶ Watch this part (20:31)

Short answer: He says the Christians in the picture of men about to be beheaded were not killed for preaching or for perfect moral lives; they were killed because they believed in and followed Jesus and would not deny him and become Muslim. He says communist nations have killed and mistreated Christians for decades.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 20:31 Times our time why were these Christians martyred we’ve all seen this picture these men were simply Christians they’re going to cut their heads off. In this nation you couldn’t preach. Bible morality or Jesus so it wasn’t because they were preaching it was against the law. And it wasn’t necessarily because they were living perfect moral lives they they weren’t. Killing them for that reason they just simply killed him because they believed in and followed Jesus they had an encounter with Jesus they would not deny Jesus and become a Muslim if they would have denied Christ and become a Muslim and accepted Allah they would have saved their life. But they weren’t preaching it was against the law and they weren’t arrested for their moral lifestyle they were simply arrested and butchered because they believed antichrist communist humanist Russia China North Korea Cambodia and other communist nations have killed and forbid and mistreated Christians.

How are American Christians mistreated, and what should they do?

▶ Watch this part (21:44)

Short answer: He says American Christians who speak for Bible morals are hated and bullied, pressured to accept legalized sin and forced to pay for others’ risky lifestyles and the national debt. He quotes that the Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people, and says Christians need to flee the public opinion that legalizes sin and join a group that embraces morality: “when America is good America is great.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:44 For decades. The United States government embraces these nations and these Muslim nations. Who have committed tremendous atrocities not only against Christians but other people as well American Christians who speak for Bible morals and Bible moral laws are hated and bullied and mistreated by opponents and unlearned believers. Who believe these things that the humanist and atheists and liberals are telling us American Christians are bullied to accept legalization of homosexuality abortion drugs alcohol pornography illegal aliens military sex abuse and chaplain abuse they are forced to pay for the welfare and the high cost of health care of risky lifestyles and they’re forced to pay off our national debt which they don’t believe in.

▶ 22:50 John Adams said it plainly our constitution was made only for a moral religious people it is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. Our government now legalizing evil instead of God is going to bring down the fall of America. And because of that American Christians need to flee this public opinion of of legalizing sin and legalizing crime and legalize immorality they need to flee it and embrace. Get in a group that embraces morality and get America back to being great because America is good when America is good America is great.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: At 0:20 he cites “First Corinthians 12 38” for the children of Issachar; the passage is in 1 Chronicles 12 (verse 32), which is linked. At 6:58 he cites “Acts 3 18” for Jesus remaining in heaven until all things are restored; that is Acts 3:21 (Acts 3:19-21 is linked). At 16:50 he says the martyr in the arena was arrested in “2003 A.D.” as spoken; the dates and details of the martyrdoms (from Foxe’s Book of Martyrs, as he says), the Inquisition dates and the quotation about the Constitution are given as spoken and have not been checked.
