Satan wants to sift you and break you apart, but Jesus destroyed him as God destroyed Pharaoh’s army. Israel passed through the Red Sea as a baptism, yet still longed for Egypt’s cucumbers, so after deliverance you still have a choice. Choose whom you will serve and become a worshipper like Miriam and David. The service closes with communion.

What is the enemy’s first tactic?

▶ Watch this part (0:13)

Short answer: Satan asked to sift Peter as wheat, but Jesus prayed for him; God’s living word is sharper than a two-edged sword.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 0:13 When these words are spoken when God’s word is spoken you can find a living word the the scriptures say his word is living and powerful sharper than any two-edged sword it’s very important that we get God’s word into us and we let his living word speak to us John the baptist had a living word and when he came to the people in his time he had a message that was different and we need uh to hear what God is saying to. Us we’re going to be looking. At first of all the enemy’s. Tactics in Luke 22:31 Peter Jesus said to Peter Peter Satan has asked to sift you as wheat and Jesus said but I have prayed for you Christ it’s important don’t you want Jesus praying for you.

Scripture (NKJV)

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Do problems end when you get saved?

▶ Watch this part (1:18)

Short answer: No; Paul had a messenger of Satan, and God said My grace is sufficient.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 1:18 This praying for you this morning amen I want him praying for me hallelujah 2 Corinthians 12:7 says a messenger of Satan tormented me three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from. Me and God’s reply to Paul who’s saying this scripture was that my grace is sufficient for you my power is made perfect in weakness and what I’m just trying to share here this morning is that we still have a fight on our hands Peter and Paul here Paul is an apostle Peter is just beginning in his walk with God and both of them are having a fight in a battle with Satan and so when you accept Christ in your heart and in your life remember you’re going to you you want to prepare yourself for a battle and God has equipped you with everything that you need to fight that.

▶ 2:19 Battle but let’s not I don’t want to lie and we don’t want to think that nothing you know there’s not going to be any problems you know if somebody says hey you know you get saved and all your problems are gone it’s not true we want to Satan as we learned last week does not want to let you go just like Pharaoh didn’t want to let the Israelites go Satan doesn’t want to let you go he wants you to serve in his kingdom and how many kingdoms are. There two the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of God. Mark. 4:15 sat I’m sorry let me I forgot something in the last. Slide as we learned last.

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 (NKJV)

And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

— 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:18

What does Satan want to do?

▶ Watch this part (3:16)

Short answer: Break you apart, while God puts you together, like the dry bones, so you can fight; Satan also snatches the word sown in hearts.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 3:16 Week and the illustration of Adam was created from the dust right and also the valley of dry bones God brought all those bones together and uh there’s over 200 bones in the in the adult body and if there were a million people that would be 200 million things flying in the air that God brought together he brought all those bones together bone to bone he put flesh and senus on it and he breathed life into that valley of dry bones and the point is is that Christ Jesus can bring all the pieces of your life that are broken no matter how many pieces no matter if your life is shattered Christ can can bring it all back together bone to bone put the senus on you the flesh and he can breathe life into you he has that much power in your spiritual man so important but Satan here is trying to get you back to separating you into a bunch of pieces okay so Peter here uh s Jesus is saying to Peter Satan wants to sift you he wants to break you apart.

▶ 4:31 And so Satan here wants to break you apart God wants you to put you together right simple and we don’t want to be broken in pieces we want to be working as one we want our spiritual man able to stand able to walk able to fight see when you’re broken in pieces your arm doesn’t move you just sit there and you look and your eyes you don’t got an arm you don’t got a leg you’re just stuck you want to be broken in pieces you know if I want to get up this morning and if I have to raise kids if I got to live life you want you need your body working.

▶ 5:09 Amen and it’s the same way in your spirit God wants to bring you back together so you can fight the battle that you need to face in your life and he can do that for. You Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that was in sown in their hearts in mark chapter 4:15 so these are the tactics Satan he tries to take the good word that God is trying to sew in our hearts and this happens all the time if you think to yourself I know it’s happened many times in my life you get a good message you get excited and God is oh my gosh this is so powerful this good and then a week later something happened you forgot everything and you’re discouraged and something’s just what is going on and uh we forget that word that God says he is trying to write in our hearts and so Satan is trying to before before God writes it in your heart he wants to take it away and it’s so important that we always keep the knowledge of God’s word flowing through our minds this morning I I’m not going to say that if you have a Bible.

▶ 6:24 You want to put that word into you either you can can read it you can listen to it find a way to get it into you you know if the word is getting into you or not right so if something’s not working I can read four pages and at the end I’m like what did I what did I just do what did I just read I don’t remember anything that’s my brain is like that you know I get distracted oh that thing at work oh that they threw something at my face you know that my son my daughter all this stuff comes at you right and pretty you don’t remember anything so you got to find a way to get God’s word into you. Amen if you need to listen to it while you’re reading it if you need to say it if you need to walk around while you’re reading it out loud so you hear yourself if you need to write it down find a way to get God’s word into you amen.

What does Pharaoh show about Satan?

▶ Watch this part (7:19)

Short answer: He chased Israel to use them; Satan doesn’t care about you, wants to steal kids from good families, and Jesus destroyed him as God destroyed Pharaoh’s army.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 7:19 Amen so God comes as we learned last week Satan uh Pharaoh didn’t want to let Israel go God came with his 10 plagues on Egypt including the firstborn. Death and after the firstborn death Pharaoh let Israel. Go Pharaoh. Followed and tries one last time to attack Israel at the red sea he sends his army out to go and get those Israelites now he doesn’t want to kill them he wants them what he wants them in bondage again why did we let these people go we had all this workforce and I just lost my work what did I do that for I had all these free.

▶ 8:19 Benefits so Satan is trying to get what he can out of you he doesn’t care about you just like Pharaoh he doesn’t care about the Israelites he wants to use them and that’s the same way with the kingdom of darkness and Satan he just wants to use you he’s using uh the world right now for his purposes to pass along his lies the lies that you hear that that are thrown at you in the media whatever source of information you get there’s a lot of lies uh a lot of lies in all the movies the message it’s there’s there’s a lot of lies being pushed right now and that’s all coming from the kingdom of garus that is using people in the world that he does not care about he doesn’t care about kids he wants to destroy remember what it says in John 10:10 the thief comes to what steal to kill and destroy.

▶ 9:23 Satan wants to steal kids who deserve to have a good family you know my family growing up was a normal I thought I was a normal family you know mom and dad stayed together I got brothers and sisters we all you know grew up and we went to church you know we had just had a normal life but I found out as I got older that’s that’s rare maybe in california must be california californians are crazy but uh we want you know that’s being stolen from children the innocent children that come to the world they don’t don’t have parents because of choices they made you know anything can happen people die from cause um accidents and such but it’s choices that are being made that are hurting these families and these children and Satan is involved and he is causing all of this in our society in our country God destroyed Pharaoh’s army by his power so as you know at the red sea God parted the red sea for them to walk through the army followed them and the army was covered by the water and destroyed and just like God destroyed Pharaoh’s army Jesus has destroyed Satan by his power so the next time somebody says to you well the Devil made me do it or Satan’s too powerful or his pull on me is too great it’s not true

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Exodus 14:23-28 (NKJV)

And the Egyptians pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. Now it came to pass, in the morning watch, that the LORD looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He troubled the army of the Egyptians. And He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians.” Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.” And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained.

— Exodus 14:23-28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:23

What does the Red Sea picture?

▶ Watch this part (10:54)

Short answer: They were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and the sea; baptism is death to the old man.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 10:54 it’s not true you’re serving a much bigger God. Then Satan is nothing to. God you know Satan is it’s hard for us to combat him for for God it’s nothing. Amen 1 Corinthians 10:1 they were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea so how did jes how does Jesus destroy Satan by his power what do what does that mean and how did he do it 1 Corinthians 10:1 they were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea Romans 6:3 we were therefore buried with him through baptism into death as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the father we too may new live a new life and so when you look at this story about the red sea and Israel going through the red sea and the Pharaoh’s army coming and getting destroyed you are seeing an example of what Jesus Christ is doing in your spiritual man went through water baptism water baptism is very important and it’s very powerful.

▶ 12:17 First Corinthians is a book written by Paul and Paul is talking about the red sea situation he’s saying that when they went when they were under the cloud and when they went through the red sea they were. Baptized amen and this baptism was death to the army of Pharaoh but it gave life and deliverance to the israelites the Israelites used to be part of who Egypt they were part of Egypt but God through that red sea to cut off the connection and their ties to Egypt and when you come and you get water baptized you’re making a commitment that I’m going to walk in a new life with Christ and Christ is going to come and he’s going to cut off that old.

▶ 13:24 Man that old. Influence in your life he’s going to. Destroy God’s wonders delivered Israel from Egypt’s. Grasps and it’s that death to your old man we don’t want to be in bondage to Egypt anymore you don’t want to be in bondage to your old lifestyle you don’t want to be in bondage uh to sin the New Testament says that people are in bondage to sin sin does bondage baptism kills off those ties of the kingdom of darkness and by God’s glory we’re given new life amen amen and water baptism is is powerful and it’s important now I’ve baptized people before and they still have a choice to make and we’ll talk about that in just a moment you still have a decision.

1 Corinthians 10:1-2 (NKJV)

Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,

How did Jesus destroy the devil?

▶ Watch this part (14:31)

Short answer: By His death; they overcame by the blood of the Lamb; resist the devil and he will flee, as Jesus used Scripture.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 14:31 So let’s keep answering this question in Hebrews chapter 2:14 since the children have flesh and blood he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death that is the Devil and in Revelation 12:11 they triumphed over who. Satan by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony that’s why we sang the song this morning there is power power wonderwork power in the blood of the lamb amen and that power uh we can triumph over Satan the blood of Christ removes Satan’s claws it says in the Bible that he’s like a lion seeking who may be a devour the blood of Christ removes his claws removes his teeth removes his power against you when Satan comes at you he’s got nothing he doesn’t have any uh power over.

▶ 15:34 You the scriptures say in the New Testament resist the Devil and he will flee from you you have power over. Satan just like Jesus Christ when he was tempted by Satan in the desert he used. What he used the scriptures three times he used the scriptures to shut up Satan and again that’s why it’s so important for us to have have his word in us to have it coming out of us his word is powerful it’s his word is an offensive weapon you can use it to fight the enemy and you can keep it like the the belt of truth keeping you strong and steady standing for what is right and those simple principles are so important fasting prayer having putting God’s word into you praising him like we did this morning assembling like we are doing today these all of these things beat back the kingdom of darkness in your life.

▶ 16:38 And so here we’re answering that question again how did how did he how does Jesus destroy Satan and he’s done it by the death of his son Jesus Christ and that’s what these scriptures are saying in Hebrews and Revelations by the blood of the lamb we triumph over. Satan so. What what do we. Do what happens after we baptized what happens after we have that blood and that power uh over our lives we need that blood of Jesus Christ flowing in us you know when you every time when I a kid I think about the blood uh covering me like what do I need blood cover me for I didn’t understand it but when you think about a spirit spiritual body and how that spiritual body needs like like we have spiritual blood in our we we have natural blood in our bodies we need spiritual blood and that blood of Jesus Christ can heal all the diseases that you have the disease of sin in your spiritual man his blood is powerful and it’s cleansing and it can cleanse your spiritual man so.

What happens after baptism?

▶ Watch this part (17:53)

Short answer: After the bad report, Israel wanted to go back to Egypt; Satan offers to negotiate new terms, but he is a liar.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 17:53 Important but what do we do after we’ve gotten baptized we are committed to Christ and now what happens in numbers chapter 14 after a bad report of the promised land and not wanting to fight the Anakim and the giants that were in the land they got scared and they that there’s 10 people 10 spies that went in the land they said oh man you don’t want to go there they’re we’re going to lose and two of the two of the spies Joshua and Caleb said what are you guys talking. About let’s go let’s go. Fight but the Israelites didn’t listen and they said wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt and so Satan can still seduce Satan can still discourage you to do uh you from doing right he can entice you and he wants enc to encourage you to reject.

▶ 18:59 God Satan’s over there like oh yeah see that problem that you’re going to face right now come back with me come on you don’t need to go you don’t need to fight that fight you don’t want to go that way come on we’ll we’ll we’ll negotiate we’ll negotiate new. Terms he’s a liar remember that you want to go back to Egypt you want to go back to bondage he’s going to make it sound like it’s no big deal it’s going to be different this time that the sin is not going to uh have hold over you he just wants to get you back in so he can rule over you. Again and that’s what these people are are dealing with in their mind they’re being tempted and enticed and seduced and they’re giving in and they said wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt and a lot of Christians they come through that red sea that come through baptism and they come through the blood of Jesus Christ and they come to a place where they say it it what am I doing I want to go back to sin I want to go back to bondage they of course you don’t say.

▶ 20:14 That. But the path forward to the promised. Land is going to take some commitment it’s going to take some sticking with Jesus it’s going to take some patience. It’s going to take some fight and a battle and we got to pick up our weapons you got to pick up your weapons that word fasting and prayer all those things you got to pick them up and fight the battle Numbers 11:4 the rabble with them began to crave other food if we only had meat to eat remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost. They say at no cost think about that we used to eat fish at no cost wait what about the cost of slavery.

Numbers 14:1-4 (NKJV)

Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”

Why do people look back?

▶ Watch this part (21:08)

Short answer: The pleasures of sin, like cucumbers and melons in Egypt, and naysayers who say Moses is a jerk.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 21:08 Cucumbers melons onions garlic we had everything back in. Egypt and you know you you get away from the pleasures of sin and you get into doing trying to follow Christ you’re like wait a second this isn’t any fun this is not like the fun will you used to have oh back in the day that was the thing that was the best and that’s what’s happening right now with these Israelites they’re thinking about the past lot’s wife she turned around at Sodom and Gomorrah she’s like oh man that was a great. Place there’s a lot of naysayers there’s a lot of negative people you’re trying to move forward you’re trying to fight the battle you’re trying to get to the promised land and people going to be like oh this is not how I pictured it this isn’t the you didn’t do it the way I wanted you to do it I don’t like that person Moses is a jerk.

Whom will you serve?

▶ Watch this part (22:20)

Short answer: Choose this day; as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 22:20 And so Satan is going to encourage he’s going to use our desires he’s going to use the desires of others to draw you back to his kingdom so you got to be we got to be careful and you got to fight that battle Joshua chapter 24:15 he says it very he gets very specific and he says it right here he says if serving the Lord seems undesirable choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve whether the gods of the Amorites this God that God everybody’s got a God today we got all kinds of religions you can just take take your pick in America take your pick in 2024 throughout the world what God you want to.

▶ 23:03 Serve but as for me in my household we will serve the Lord Romans chapter 6:19 you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity to ever increasing wickedness so now offer yourselves as slave to righteousness leading to holiness and so I want to say this statement right now very important in our lives lives we are going to either serve the kingdom of darkness or the kingdom of God serving the kingdom of darkness leads to death in hell and death on earth Satan wants to end your life and he wants to put you in hell with him but serving the kingdom of God leads to life Jesus said that and life more abundantly Jesus has come to give us life and life more abundantly Christ Christ wants to put you in heaven with him both involve.

What is God’s goal after deliverance?

▶ Watch this part (24:04)

Short answer: To make you a worshipper; He told Pharaoh to let His people go to sacrifice.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 24:04 Serving and Joshua said it right who will you. Serve and after water baptism and after God’s. Wonders you still have a choice and Israel experienced the wonders of God they saw the 10 plagues they saw the parting of the red. Sea and you may make a commitment in your life to get water baptized and you may feel that blood lift the the the burden of sin over your life but you still have a choice are you going to serve and follow after. God in Exodus chapter. 318 at the beginning of all of this this Exodus out of Egypt.

▶ 24:58 The thing that God comes to Moses and says and he says to tell Pharaoh. Hey I want my people to go three days journey into the wilderness that we that they may sacrifice to. Me and so one of the goals that God has for you is to for you to become somebody who lifts up praises worships and exalts the name of Jesus Christ. And so from the beginning of this whole deliverance that happened God wanted to bring them to himself that they might sacrifice and praise. Him in Exodus. 15:1 after they had come out of the red sea the children of Israel sang this song and said I will sing to the Lord he has triumphed.

What does Miriam show?

▶ Watch this part (25:53)

Short answer: Moses calls his sister a prophet and the women followed her; God is not partial by skin color or sex.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 25:53 Gloriously the horse and its rider he has cast into the sea. And Miriam the prophet took a timbrel in her hand and all the women followed her with timbrel and dancing and I want to point this out here as I was looking through and reading about God making worshippers and how they got excited they saw that wonderful miracle and we get excited amen isn’t it exciting when God does something. Powerful and let me point out here Miriam is a woman. Moses who is the writer of Exodus he says Miriam the what. Prophet not only does she he call her a prophet who is his sister but he also says that the women what followed.

▶ Watch this part (26:50)

Short answer: No; God gives a new song. David danced before the Lord with all his might.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 26:50 Her it’s very important for us to see these examples remember God is not partial. God is not looking on all of us being oh wait you’re of a certain color skin oh you’re a woman you’re you’re secondary in the kingdom that’s not how God sees. Everybody God is working through Miriam and these women are following her the strength the Lord is my strength and my song he has become my salvation he is my God and I will praise him my father’s God and I will exalt. Him the Lord is my song forget about the world’s. Songs God can give you a new song he has put a what new song in my heart and some of these singers in the world that they can they sing songs that keep you in depressed I mean every flavor of song out there if you want to get turned on you know and and get uh clo.

▶ 27:57 Get all excited there’s a song for it if you want to get you know angry if you feel rebellious oh there’s a song for it if you want to uh get glad and party oh there’s a song for it. Right there’s a song the world has all kinds of songs to express but the industry and the message promotes what. Sin the kingdom of darkness they’re not promoting God. And if they do it’s you know here’s a song but the rest is and they also want your money so remember let’s our first goal our songs and our heart should be to praise and lift up the name of Jesus Christ Psalms 22:3 you are holy oh you that inhabit the praises of Israel God inhabits our praises.

When should we praise?

▶ Watch this part (28:58)

Short answer: Continually offer the sacrifice of praise; Israel instead made a golden calf.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 28:58 Amen David he danced before the Lord with all his might he was he was jumping around doing cartwheels before the Lord we want to be made into worshippers God made David a worshipper and God can do that in you as the worship team. Comes Hebrews chapter 13:15 by him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name so the temple that we have the temple example of uh the incense in the tabernacle Moses’s tabernacle you walk in and you have that that altar of incense that was supposed to uh be uh going all the time.

▶ 29:51 God is saying here continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God that is the fruit of our lips so no matter what situation you’re in no matter where you are at in the world you can offer give thanks and praise to. God in Exodus chapter 32 when Moses was delayed in coming coming down the mountain he was given the ten commandments and this again is after the red sea after they had uh the blood po uh they put the blood on the doorposts they were saved from the death angel who came and killed the firstborn it didn’t touch the Israel anybody who had the blood of the doorposts on their doorposts they were delivered from Pharaoh’s army through the red sea and they come to the mountain of God mount si and Moses is on the mountain and he’s taking a while.

▶ 30:54 To come back down. And they say make us gods who will go before us as for this fellow Moses whoever this guy is we don’t know what’s happened to him and so God from the beginning he he wanted to bring them out to praise give thanks to. Him and they turned it in to a party for. Themselves. When it should have been giving honor and glory to the living.

Today and reminding us if you haven’t been water baptized it’s very powerful it’s very important that you do it’s powerful in destroying the enemy it’s powerful in uh identifying with the death and burial of Jesus Christ and letting that old man die out of you committing yourself to Jesus Christ the blood of Jesus Christ is powerful against the enemy as we read in Revelations we have triumphed over Satan by the what the blood of the lamb and and Joshua asks this question who will we serve are we going to serve the Lord or are we going to serve our flesh. Like the Israelites they wanted to go back to Egypt when things got tough they wanted to go back when things when they got scared they wanted to go back when things got uncomfortable they wanted to go.

▶ 32:44 Back and also will we become what God has made us to be remember we were made in whose image we were made in the image of God and God is trying to bring us to himself to make us a worshipper someone who gives praise to his name not just through your lips but also when you go out in your life people want to look at you and God wants God wants people to see in you wow that person has been changed that person gives glory to God just by their life God has done a work in their liv that gives praise to God. And of course when we praise God that’s powerful and we beat back the enemy with that. Amen so we have some choices.
