The War Within 12/09/2018: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Pastor David G. Kincer explains that wars are not the sign of the end, and that fights and wars come from the lusts that war within us. Earthly, sensual wisdom brings confusion; the wisdom from above is pure and peaceable. He looks to the last-days promise that nations will learn God’s ways and beat swords into plowshares.
Are wars a sign of the end?
Short answer: Wars must come to pass, nation will rise against nation, but do not be troubled: the end is not yet. The Bible plainly says wars are not the sign.
▶ 0:00 The Bible tells us that wars must come to pass nation will rise against nation kingdom will rise against kingdoms do not be troubled the end of the world is not yet and so many Christians especially when since I was a Christian and since 1960 they said wars and rumors of war with a sign of the coming the Bible plainly says here and all three it is not it’s going to happen they have nothing to do with the second coming neither did earthquakes and and other acts of God these things are going to be but when we want to get sensational about our approach we take scripture out of context all right now in the last three thousand four hundred twenty-one years of a recorded history only 268 of those years had no war taken from the lessons of history page 80 150 armed conflicts out of 195 nations today in 2015 had armed conflicts and wars according to the world bank.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 24:6-7 (NKJV)
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
— Matthew 24:6-7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:00What starts wars?
Short answer: Political science and the Bible agree on some reasons: ethnic and political superiority—the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans—and religious identity.
▶ 1:06 Our question is what starts wars according to political science [unclear] and according to the Bible the Bible agrees with some of these reasons for war. John 4:9 Jews have no affiliation with Samaritans. Okay the Jews hated the samaritan Samaritans were a false religious group. So it’s an ethnic and political superiority. It can be about race can be about religion can be about a political.
Scripture in this part
John 4:9 (NKJV)
Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
— John 4:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:06Which groups plan to rule the world?
Short answer: He says Christianity aims to conquer the world, not with arms but with the word of God by preaching the gospel and making disciples, and Christians have a right to defend family, community and nation.
▶ 1:49 Identity. There are three groups that plan to rule the world christianity by way of the word we’re told to go out and preach the gospel to every creature and make disciples of them we are out to conquer the world not with arms but with the word of God now right amen but we have a right to do offend our family ourselves and our community and our nation we don’t go turning the other cheek once people want to hurt our family our community our nation we’ve got to defend especially men they’re given that responsibility directly to protect their wife their kids their community and their nation are you with me no muslims and communists by way of arms and misinformation or disinformation propaganda oh they got is a lot of lying nonsense okay no facts to back them up in Esther 10:1 the king of Persia put a tax a tribute on all the nations that he ruled over that included the natural resources cheap slaves cheap work workers and expanding their territorial land.
Scripture in this part
Mark 16:15 (NKJV)
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
— Mark 16:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:49What does Esther show about self-defense?
Short answer: The Persians hated the Jews for being Jews. Esther got the king to let the Jews defend themselves against those committing ethnic mass murder.
▶ 3:08 Also an Esther the king of Persia still king here they’re still in Persia the Persians hated the Jews they hated the Jews because they were Jews and they hated the Jews because of the religion it didn’t matter if the Jew was really serving God and practice and religion they just hated Jews that’s ethnic religious you know that’s just racial ethnic and they hated the Jewish religion because the Persians worshipped a different religion and so they got the king to allow them to kill the Jews well Esther come to the rescue now for those of you don’t believe in women ministries I tell you if you were living there and you would be applauding Esther.
▶ 3:56 Alright I just throw these things in every you know that’s everyone’s oh she got the king to reverse the law and allowed the Jews to defend themselves see Christians have a right to defend themselves all right and they took revenge upon the people that hated them they the people of [unclear] was committing ethnic mass murder they were an ethnic cleansing and the Jews wound up winning over their enemy and so the Bible agrees with the same reasons that political science says creates wars but the Bible has a source of war that present day science missed. And that is in James for wars and fights among you come from your lusts that war in your bodies wars start in the individual and the lust of the individual to give themselves over to their desires their wants in their mind their will and their emotions he goes on to say you lust and are jealous the inward thing.
Scripture in this part
Esther 8:11 (NKJV)
By these letters the king permitted the Jews who were in every city to gather together and protect their lives—to destroy, kill, and annihilate all the forces of any people or province that would assault them, both little children and women, and to plunder their possessions,
— Esther 8:11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:56Where do wars and fights come from?
Short answer: From your lusts that war within you: you lust and are jealous, cannot obtain, so you fight, quarrel and kill. Yet you have not, because you ask not, or ask amiss.
▶ 5:12 you lust and are jealous to have but can’t obtain so you fight you argue you quarrel you bicker. Even fistfight and you kill you murder your neighbor you murder someone and you get in groups and you. Fight wars because of your lust your jealousy your lack of control over your inner desires. Yet you have not though you do all these things this is the outward part of this inward work inside of you you have not because you ask not and you ask and receive not because you asked a miss to waste it upon your lust you’re only interested in yourself and fulfilling your desires you could care the least about anybody else are you there.
Scripture in this part
James 4:1-3 (NKJV)
Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
— James 4:1-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:12How does the war within become the war without?
Short answer: The lust and jealousy inside result in fighting, quarreling, murder and finally open national conflict; it starts with the individual stirring up another.
▶ 6:15 Now as we see the war within the lust and the jealousies. Results in the war without the fighting the arguing the quarreling the murder and finally open national conflict and it starts with the individual and that individual stirring up another individual. Now the question is they’re jealous and they lust to have something and obtain something. What are they jealous and lusting to obtain and having that they haven’t obtained a net what is it and they can ask. But even if they ask they don’t receive because they asked wrongly.
What is the wisdom that is not from above?
Short answer: If you have bitter envy and strife in your heart, don’t lie against the truth. This wisdom is earthly, sensual and demonic—human thinking driven by lust.
▶ 7:14 Who are they asking and what are they asking for is that a legitimate question okay now I know you guys know all this but I’m just bringing it to your remembrance to get the answer we have to go back to James chapter 3 remember the chapters in the Bible were divided by man and a lot of places the context or split and you have to go back to a previous chapter to understand or you have to go forward to another chapter to understand the complete context are you with me yes and this is what we got to do here we go back to James 3:14 if there’s bitter and in me if there’s bitter envy and strife in your hearts glory not lie not against the truth see everybody believes that their belief is truth but when you have bitterness and envy and jealousy and lust inside.
▶ 8:16 Don’t honor that and don’t lie against the truth that is not what to seek for. This wisdom this intellectual skills. Descends not from above. But is earthly it’s human thinking. Thinking that is brought about by the lust having free rein in their life. Sensual the ravings of the flesh and demonic the kingdom of darkness loves you to get on your sensual bandwagon and follow your senses instead of real wisdom in that true now.
Scripture in this part
James 3:14-15 (NKJV)
But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
— James 3:14-15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:14What comes with envy and strife?
Short answer: Where envy and strife are, there is confusion and every evil work—unclear knowledge that brings panic behavior. The Holy Spirit never causes confusion.
▶ 9:15 For where envy and strife is that’s the in word along with jealousy and lust there is an outward expression and outward behavior that comes with it confusion confusion is unclear knowledge that results in a panic compulsory. Behavior. Disorderly no order in it they just of course none of you just ever. You see confusion they’re confused why because they don’t have clear knowledge and the reason they don’t have clear knowledge they don’t read and study and go to Bible studies and learn that Bible. They think they’re going to get it through osmosis osmosis is because I sit in church it’s just going to get in me or because I listen to the radio when I’m going to work Christian radio it’s gonna man no only the spirit can reveal truth to you and having you know the comforter is called the spirit of truth.
▶ 10:21 That Holy Spirit will never lie to you he will never cause confusion in you he is a spirit of truth and every evil work see when we have unclear knowledge and we respond with a panic mentality and and that’s what happens in marriages and families we panic and respond we retaliate and we hurt our spouses and our family because we don’t have unclear knowledge and self-control and every evil work every evil workers work things I say and do that hurts me and hurts people. So. But the wisdom from above that’s God. That’s God the wisdom from God see is first pure.
Scripture in this part
James 3:16 (NKJV)
For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
— James 3:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:151 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV)
For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
— 1 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:21What is the wisdom from above like?
Short answer: Pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy, without partiality and without hypocrisy. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
▶ 11:18 Secondly it’s peaceable they’re looking for peace up there and they can’t find it they can’t find it through quarreling and arguing and fighting. Gentle easy to be entreated easy to change your mind to what is right easy to yield to what is right full of mercy or love love does no harm love doesn’t demand its own way. What causes divorces mainly. Someone in the marriage wanting their own way and it may not be the right way or the best way for the marriage or the family. Full of mercy full of love and good fruits without partiality and that includes yourself you cannot be partial to yourself.
▶ 12:16 Say love doesn’t demand its own way. That comes from them senses. That you’re given into without partiality and without hypocrisy is saying one thing and doing another. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace these people that give in to their lust their jealousies their envies their strife on the inward man inside they bring it comes out in wars and conflicts and arguments and hurting other people mistreating other people. So they are looking for wisdom that comes from above but they won’t ask God to give it to them you know I hear Christians pray a lot and when I have a minister in the church that I heard in prayer I never heard she’s praying for wisdom.
Scripture in this part
James 3:17-18 (NKJV)
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
— James 3:17-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:18What should we ask God for?
Short answer: Not just a better job or a fixed marriage but wisdom. Wisdom is the principal thing, and it can’t be separated from love.
▶ 13:21 They were praying for a better job help my marriage you know these these little things that wisdom would do. Are you there and I’ve been all over the world preaching the gospel folks Africa Asia I’ve been everywhere and until I talked them how to pray and now they are praying that way and when I went back it was a big difference there was a big change you could see the change. Instead of asking for things to consume on yourself they started asking for things that bring results wisdom and knowledge bring results amen my people are destroyed for lack of what knowledge. Not for lack of prayer not for lack of praise for lack of knowledge see now they are looking for these things and can’t find it Christians aren’t even looking.
▶ 14:19 They think peace is going to come by them just sin oh Jesus bring peace. Are you there how many know we need to change that. Wisdom is the principal thing that Proverbs 4 says it’s the highest in rank along with love and the two can’t be separated you can’t have wisdom without love and you can’t have love without love turning you to wisdom because wisdom is going to bridle you to treat everybody right amen. Now. Let me throw in. Another scripture for you this is exciting. Psalms 46:9 he makes wars to cease unto the end of the earth does every scripture have to be fulfilled does every scripture have to be fulfilled yes does there have to be a fulfillment of him ceasing wars on the earth has it happened yet no then how can he come.
Scripture in this part
Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV)
Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
— Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:19James 1:5 (NKJV)
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
— James 1:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:21What will happen in the last days, per Isaiah 2?
Short answer: Many people will say, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and He will teach us His ways; out of Zion shall go forth the law. Search the scriptures like the Bereans.
▶ 15:30 We just hear it hear it hear it so we believe what we hear over and over and over and we don’t search the scriptures like the people of Berea to find out if this is truth or not now let’s follow along and Isaiah 2:2 and in. Micah chapter 4 same verse same prophecy it shall come to pass in the last days are we in the last days yes we’ve taught that and every church is teaching that we are we are and we’re in the last of the last days but we don’t know how long that’s going to be in the last days the mountain of the lord’s house shall be established and exalted in the top of the mountains and hills and all nations shall flow into it now realistically looking at the church are we exalted by the other nation no. Are all nations flowing into it yes they are.
▶ 16:28 Not on a mass scale but every nation on earth has Christians in it now not every tribe and every ethnic group has been reached yet and the word hasn’t been printed in our language yet but we see that but not on the dimension that it’s talking about here is it. Let’s continue many people many people will go and say come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord to the house of the God of Jacob and he will teach us his ways and we will walk in his past is that fulfilled today. Partially. There is a solid group of Christians that are walking in the righteousness of God but not on a large scale the churches are priests and prosperity for the churches of preaching in America and other places that homosexuality is ok you can be a minister you accepted.
▶ 17:28 Adultery and fornication isn’t even talked about now because of homosexuality is okay so why you know adultery and fornication and sex outside of the marriage sex with animals orgies you know I deal with that when the big one is accepted are you there and so we’re not seeing I’m an out of the church the law of God a law is a rule with a reward either a bad reward or a good reward that’s what a law is all right and his ways are his ways of righteousness for out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem that’s the church of God that’s that Jesus raised up now look at this he shall judge among the nations. He is Jesus.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 2:2-3 (NKJV)
Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
— Isaiah 2:2-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:30Micah 4:1-2 (NKJV)
Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
— Micah 4:1-2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:30Acts 17:11 (NKJV)
These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
— Acts 17:11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:30When will nations beat swords into plowshares?
Short answer: When He rebukes many people and they turn, nation shall not lift sword against nation. We see it on a small scale now; a harvest no man can number is coming.
▶ 18:22 He will rebuke many people. Now we’re seeing it on a small scale that’s why you’re here Jesus came and rebuked you and corrected you convinced you that you were wrong and you turned and repented but we’re not seeing it on a large scale. They shall beat their swords into plowshares their spears into pruning hooks proning hooks nation shall not lift up sword against nation neither shall they learn war in me more. Has that been fulfilled no way is it going to be fulfilled yes way there is a visitation of God coming to this earth with everybody on earth are going to know who the boss is. Jesus is going to express himself just like he did at the flood of Noah just like he did when each if had the Jews in slavery just like he did when wright king saw him and he turned the nation around and just like he did through prophets that he raised up he’s going to manifest his power and his authority and turn people back to him by the multitudes.
▶ 19:40 Amen a number that no man can number that’s huge folks are you with me when we look at the endtime prophecies of Christ a moon turning to blood the stars falling from heaven distress of nations because the seas are roaring and all these calamities come on they haven’t got time to fight with each other. They’re shaken and their bones from what is going on by God show it I am the king of all nations of the earth both the natural the spiritual and the human part of the earth amen. So some of us are going to be living in a great era that era before Christ come is going to be a tremendous era to live in and yet Revelations tells us they will still not repent see repentance comes from the heart.
▶ 20:45 Alleluia in that something there is a season coming up folks where Jesus is going to change things does he have that power you bet the blood that he shed is worth a lot more remember to win in Revelations to win to the land it’s a sacrifice of his reward his death was so powerful. That he’s not going to settle for just a few Pentecostals and a few fundamentalists and a few this and a few that he is going to revolutionize the church unite the church and through the church he’s going to express himself in this earth now I submit to you in closing as the musicians come if Jesus Christ and his word can stop nations from war before the end of the world. How much more can Jesus and his words stop war now in marriages the family the church the community starting with every individual on the inside.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 2:4 (NKJV)
He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.
— Isaiah 2:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:22Revelation 7:9 (NKJV)
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
— Revelation 7:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:40Where does peace have to start?
Short answer: Inside us. Divorce is as rampant in the church as outside; instead of blaming, grow up into a mature Christian who loves no matter what.
▶ 21:52 They we got to be the start of this inside I have. Talk with people you know divorce is just as rampant in the church as it is in a secular world you know that and I’ve seen spouses accuse their spouse of something that they have no evidence for and so strong on it and they’re feeling so involved in it and and I’d say where’s the proof where’s the proof where’s the proof they can’t give me any proof that that spouse is doing anything wrong they just believe he is they feel like he is see that inward feeling and they wind up divorcing. They want to blame well I got married I was ignorant I didn’t know what I was doing you took a vow for better for worse for richer for poorer in sickness and in health you took the vow you knew what you were doing now things are a little difficult and you want out you got to grow up and keep the vow amen well we didn’t go to marriage counseling listen more people get divorced from marriage counseling than those who don’t do you know that.
▶ 23:10 She’s they have this false sense of security oh man we passed the test and so we’re compatible and then they find out. Wow there’s some there’s some things that wouldn’t own that cheat are you there and so they want to blame they want to blame instead of saying I need to grow up and be a mature Christian that loves no matter what they want a way of escape and I submit to you if Jesus has the power to stop wars in the future he has the power to stop wars in the marriage in the family in the church the churches are at so divided so at each other’s throat and folks it’s going to start with the individual change in their life did Christ come into the world and to make us a new creature yes what are we waiting on let’s let him make us new creatures amen let’s let him make us a light to the world.
