From the sermonThe War of The Word Part 1 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

In this message Pastor David G. Kincer begins a series on Revelation 19, “The War of The Word,” by surveying the 13 conflicts in Revelation and showing that the rider on the white horse called the Word of God is Jesus Christ. He teaches from Daniel 10 and Ephesians 6 that the war is spiritual and fought in the heavenlies, that believers have angels fighting for them, and that the sword in His mouth is the Word of God.

How many wars are there in the book of Revelation?

▶ Watch this part (0:01)

Short answer: He says there are “13 wars, 13 conflicts” in Revelation and walks through them: the seals, the locusts, the beast fighting the two witnesses, Michael and his angels fighting Satan, Satan warring with the saints, the beast out of the sea, Armageddon, and the beast and the horns warring with the Lord. He says it helps to see “the whole picture.”

▶ 0:01 Across the screen we have the book of Revelation. There’s going to be 13 wars, 13 conflicts in this book of Revelation. And it’s good to see the picture of this because most of the time we just get a little bit of revelation here and a bit of revelation there and we don’t see the whole picture. In Revelations chapter 6, the first seal, there’s a guy on a white horse going forth to conquer, conquering and to conquer. In on the second seal, if you remember, there’s a horse with death on it, which is killing 1/4th of the earth’s population. And then you have the fourth seal where they are— the martyrs are being martyred and so the good people are getting punished.

▶ 1:05 Flaming red horse, of course, men slaughtered one another. And so we have conflicts and wars going on in Revelation 6, 7, and 8 when we’re talking about the seals. Okay, are you with me? Okay, now we go to Revelations 9 and we got the locust coming out of the bottomless pit with a leader over them, Satan. And uh they’re tormenting men for five months. Okay, a big conflict. Those who don’t have the seal of God on their forehead. Then in Revelations 11, the beast from the bottomless pit comes up and he wars with the two prophets, the two witnesses.

▶ 2:01 And the two witnesses are no wimps. They’re killing people that hurt them or try to hurt them with fire out of their mouth. They’re causing the rain or famine to come in the land. When they shut up heaven, heaven is shut up. They bring plagues on the earth. So these two witnesses, these two prophets are like Moses and Aaron in Egypt. I mean, they’re doing things. And then the beast comes up from the bottomless pit and he wars with these two prophets, overcomes them, and kills them. Then in Revelations 12, you got the angels. Michael and his angels are fighting with Satan and his angels. And of course, we always know who wins those battles. Michael and his angels beat Satan and his angels and cast Satan down to earth.

▶ 2:56 Satan also was warring against the woman that birthed the manchild. Then in Revelations 12 also we see Satan warring against the remnant of her seed. They that keep the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus or the saints. So Satan is warring with the saints here also. Got it? A lot of warring going on here. Then in chapter 13, the beast comes out of the sea. Okay? It’s not the beast out of the bottomless pit. It’s a beast coming out of the sea. And this beast has seven heads and ten horns. So does Satan have seven heads and ten horns.

▶ 3:49 And so does the beast out of the bottomless pit have seven heads and ten horns. Okay? They’re all connected. But this beast wars against the saints and overcomes them. Then we have Armageddon. Remember Euphrates River dries up and the kings of the east come and they gathered themselves to battle at a place called Armageddon. Okay. Why we need the Euphrates River dried up is beyond me. Because we have airplanes today, we have amphibious vehicles. Water does not stop armies today. Isn’t that right? So obviously this is not talking about a the natural. It’s talking about the spiritual. There’s a spiritual warfare going on.

▶ 4:43 And so they’re given of the place and these three little creatures down here, the three frogs that come out of the beast, Satan, and the false prophet. And they go to deceive the nations to fight and uh it just stops there. It says they’re gathered together at a place called Armageddon. Doesn’t say anything else. All right. Now, how many of you know if the all the armies of the earth were gathered together, that would be a billion or more people. They’re not going to fit in a place called Armageddon over in Israel. Hallelujah. Just giving you something to think about. Then there’s a beast that comes out of the bottomless pit.

▶ 5:35 Again, you see this beast and this beast of the same beast. Only this time, this beast has a [unclear] riding it, as you can tell by that nice looking lady I have up there on the screen. And uh this beast has seven heads and ten horns. And these ten horns make war with the Lord and his saints. They that follow him are called chosen and faithful. Then in Revelations 19, the beast with all the kings of the earth come and war. That J means Jesus. This little I couldn’t get all this writing on the screen. So the abbreviations there.

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 12:7-9 (NKJV)

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 13:1-2 (NKJV)

Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 16:12-16 (NKJV)

Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.

Revelation 17:14 (NKJV)

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

— Revelation 17:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:03 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Who fights Jesus at the end, and who are Gog and Magog?

▶ Watch this part (6:27)

Short answer: He asks, “what people in their right mind would go out and war with a spirit?” and says God is a spirit, so the war between the beast, the kings of the earth and Jesus is not a tangible war. He says Gog and Magog are “all the nations of the earth,” not Russia, and that they fight the saints, who must still be here.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:27 They come and war with Jesus. Now let me ask you, what people in their right mind would go out and war with a spirit? See, God is a spirit. Isn’t that right? You see, and a lot of people try to bring this down to a tangible war. Well, you know, Jesus comes out of that sky and he is a spirit and he’s all powerful. Nobody in their right mind is going to fight with him. Just throwing that out. Hallelujah. And so there’s a war here between the beast and the kings of the earth and Jesus Christ. Then in Revelations 20, you have Satan represented as that dragon up there with fire.

▶ 7:28 And you have the nations. He gathers the nations of the earth. Gog and Magog, by the way, is the nations of the earth. It is not Russia. The Bible plainly tells us that Gog and Magog are all the nations of the earth. And they fight against guess who? The saints. And to fight against the saints, the saints have to be still here. Say it. Still here. And all through Revelations, we find the saints what? Still here. And of course all of them lose against right. And so we have a war here going on all throughout Revelation just like remember the sixth seal said the heavens were rolled up like a scroll.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 20:7-9 (NKJV)

Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

— Revelation 20:7-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:20

Are the wars in Revelation in chronological order?

▶ Watch this part (8:29)

Short answer: He says that when you look at the big picture, the events are not “actually in sequence” but happen during the period from when Revelation was written “till the end time.” He says you can’t take one war out and make something of it; “you got to look at the whole thing in its perspective.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:29 The moon and the sun and stars all went away. The islands were removed. And then we have the sun coming back in the uh trumpets and in the bowls poured out and so forth. And but when you look at it as the big picture, you don’t see that this is actually in sequence. It is things that are going to happen during this period of time which will is going to be from the time this revelations was written till the end time. Are you with me? Do you understand what I’m trying to say here? There’s a lot of conflicts in Revelation, a lot of wars, and you can’t take one out and make something out of it. You got to look at the whole thing in its perspective. So, that gets us to Revelations 19 where we left off last week.

Why is it called “The War of the Word”?

▶ Watch this part (9:26)

Short answer: He reads Revelation 19, “I saw heaven open, and behold, a white horse,” and points to the sword coming out of the rider’s mouth. He says that is “very important because the title of this is the war of the word,” and “a big difference between war and arms and a war of the word.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:26 I saw heaven open, and behold, a white horse, and he that sat upon him was called faithful, true, and in righteousness he does judge and make war. So, I have these two pictures of artists who uh drew this up. The robe actually was dipped in blood and went down to the feet. The artist kind of missed these things, but they do have the sword coming out of the mouth. Can you see the sword coming out of the mouth? Okay, if he can’t, right there, that’s a sword coming out of his mouth. And over here, there’s a sword coming out of his mouth. That’s very important because the title of this is the war of the word. Say it. War of the word. There’s a big difference between war and arms and a war of the word.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 19:11-13 (NKJV)

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

— Revelation 19:11-13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:26

Who is the writer of Revelation, and was Jesus the first thing God planned?

▶ Watch this part (10:18)

Short answer: He says the writer is Jesus Christ, “the faithful witness,” and that Jesus “was the first thing that God thought of to die on the cross.” He says God “did not have a plan B and a plan C,” and explains “the beginning of the creation of God” in Revelation 3:14 as Jesus being “the first part of God’s plan at the beginning.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:18 Okay. Now, so we know who this writer is. I want to show you that it’s Jesus Christ. Revelations 1:5, from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness. Okay? This guy here was called faithful and true and in righteousness he judges and make war. Right? Jesus is called the faithful witness. So this writer is who? Jesus Christ. He’s the firstborn from the dead. Now, a lot of people disagree with me on this, but Revelation says he is the beginning of creation. He is the firstborn from the dead. Jesus was the first thing that God thought of to die on the cross. His shed, the Bible says his blood was shed before the beginning of the world.

▶ 11:10 God did not have a plan B and a plan C. He had one plan and it was implemented at the beginning through Jesus Christ. Are you with me? And then when he became flesh and dwelt amongst us, then we beheld him. That’s when that came to pass. He who washed us from our sins in his own blood. And we know that that’s Jesus Christ. And Revelations 3:14, these things, says the amen, the faithful and the true witness, the beginning of the creation of God. And so people will say, well, how can Jesus who always existed be created? Because God said that he was the first thing. He was the first part of God’s plan at the beginning.

▶ 12:02 Hallelujah. Now, you know, there’s one God, right? How many gods? One. But you know in revelation he said let us make man in our image and our likeness. Us is what plural. You see so that Jesus part of God which is still one God was the first thing of God’s creation and then he became flesh and dwelt amongst us. Now so this writer is who? Jesus Christ. His eyes were as a flaming fire and on his head were many crowns. He had a name written that no man knew but he himself. Now we know his name and he’s going to reveal this name a little later. All right.

Who is the rider on the white horse called “The Word of God”?

▶ Watch this part (12:50)

Short answer: He says the rider’s eyes like a flame of fire and his robe dipped in blood match the description in Revelation 1:13, so “this writer is Jesus Christ.” He says the name no one knew is told as “the word of God,” and citing John 1:1 he says, “Jesus is God.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:50 In Revelations 1:13, one likened to the son of man, clothed with a robe to the foot. His chest was girded about with a golden band. His head and hairs were white as snow like wool. And his eyes were as a what? Flaming fire. This writer is Jesus Christ. He was clothed, verse 13, with a robe dipped in blood. And his name is called the word of God. And this robe went down to his what? Foot. And that robe was dipped in blood. That blood that was shed for us. So this writer is Jesus Christ. Now, the artists don’t quite have it right, but we still get the picture right now. His name is called what? The word of God. He says he had a name that no one knew. Now, he tells us the name.

▶ 13:49 He’s the word of God. John 1:1, in the beginning was the word. The word was God. The word was with God. And the word was God. See, Jesus is God. Do you guys understand that? And this is what separates Christianity from the rest of the religions. Jesus Christ is God. He was God manifest in the flesh that died on the cross for the sins of the world which was created at the beginning to do this. Is that clear?

Who are the armies in heaven that follow Jesus on white horses?

▶ Watch this part (14:37)

Short answer: He reads Revelation 19:14, armies “clothed in fine linen, clean and white,” and notes the seven angels in Revelation 15:6 are clothed in white linen too, so this army “can be” His angels. He says this is “a heavenly warfare,” not natural kingdoms and natural war, and cites Daniel 4:35 about the army of heaven.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:37 Now verse 14 of Revelations 19. The armies which were in heaven followed him up on white horses clothed in fine linen, clean and white. Well, we know that the church, the bride is clothed in fine linen, clean and white. But also Revelations 15:6, the seven angels that had the seven last plagues, they were clothed in what? Pure white linen. You see the angels are also clothed in linen. And so this army which followed him can be what? His angels. Hallelujah. Michael and his angels fought with Satan and his angels. Are you there church?

▶ 15:33 You see this is a heavenly warfare. And we want to bring it down to natural kingdoms and natural war. And this is a heavenly warfare. Daniel 4:35. He does according to his will in the army of what? Army of what? Heaven. See, it’s a heavenly army. And he does his will in the inhabitants of the earth.

What does Daniel 10 show about spiritual war in the heavens?

▶ Watch this part (16:08)

Short answer: He says the angel told Daniel the prince of Persia withstood him “21 days” until Michael came to help, so Daniel’s prayer was answered from the first day while the messenger was stopped and fought with. He says the “kings of Persia” are plural in the heavenlies though there was one on earth, showing “a heavenly battle” and “a spiritual war.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:08 Daniel 10:5, “A man appeared to me, came and touched me, a man clothed in linen, girded with a gold band around him, chest.” Okay, that’s what was in the army that was following Jesus in Revelations, right?

▶ 16:30 And he said to me, “The prince of Persia withstood me 21 days.” He said, “From the first day you set yourself and disciplined yourself to get understanding, I was sent by God to give you that understanding. But the prince of Persia withstood me. He fought with me. He warred with me for 21 days.” And then Michael, one of the chief princes, came and helped me. So Daniel’s down here praying for 21 days. And from the first day that he started to seek God for understanding, God sent the answer. But the angel which is the messenger was stopped and fought with for 21 days. Do you guys understand that? See, and where’s this going on?

▶ 17:25 In the heavens, in the spiritual realm. He said, “I remain with the kings of Persia.” It’s plural there. The kings of Persia. Now, how many kings were there of Persia on the earth at that time? One. But the kings of Persia in the heavenlies were plural. Are you seeing that this is a heavenly battle? A heavenly war? A spiritual war? I return to fight with the prince of Persia, this prince that withstood me. He said, I’m going back after I answer and give you the understanding. I’m going back and fighting with Michael and the angels with this prince of Persia in heavenly places, spiritual places, and then the prince of Greece will come.

▶ 18:26 Now, we know that the Greek kingdom rolls after Persia, right? But he’s not talking about that natural king of Greece. He’s talking about what? The spiritual king of Greece. Are you with me? Hallelujah. You’re looking at me like, “Preacher, what are you saying?” I’m giving you what Revelation says. All right. So, there’s armies in heaven which are following Jesus on his white horse. There’s war going on in the heavenlies. Doesn’t the Bible say in Ephesians that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness, against principalities and powers, and spiritual wickedness in heavenly places? See, and this is what Christians forget.

How does spiritual warfare in the heavens change what happens on earth?

▶ Watch this part (19:20)

Short answer: He says Christians forget that “we’re not really fighting our relatives,” but the source of that mentality in the heavenly places. He says “it’s got to be done in the heavens before it can be done” on earth, which is why we pray, worship and preach the Word, citing “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:20 They forget that we’re not really fighting our relatives that don’t want God and don’t want nothing to do with them. We’re fighting the source of that mentality, the source of that teaching which comes from the heavenly places. And when we get God to move in the heavenlies, then we can get on earth done what is done in the heavens. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. See the Lord’s prayer. Why is it part of it? Because in the heavens, God wins. And when we seek God and get him to move in the heavens, then on earth, what? We win. Hallelujah. That’s why it’s imperative that the church comes and does spiritual things to do spiritual warfare because it’s got to be done in the heavens before it can be done what?

▶ 20:16 On the earth. Hallelujah. That’s why we pray. That’s why we worship. That’s why we preach the word. These are spiritual tools that causes the battles in the heavens to be won and God sends the answer like he did in Daniel on earth. Now that’s pretty clear. And when we don’t do spiritual things, we don’t get battles won here on earth.

Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Do believers have angels fighting for them?

▶ Watch this part (20:47)

Short answer: He says Jesus told Pilate his authority was given from above and that He could pray to His Father for “more than 12 legions of angels.” He says believers have angels “encamped round about us,” citing Hebrews 12 and Hebrews 1.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 20:47 Now, Matthew 26:53, Jesus is before Pilate, and Pilate says, “Don’t you know I have the authority to kill you?” Him and Herod, they go, “You know, don’t you know, we’re we’re the boss, man. We’re the we’re the king. We can kill you if we want.” Jesus said, “You would have no power at all, no authority at all, unless it was given to you from where?” Above.

▶ 21:13 He said, “You can only do what God in heaven allows you to do.” But he says, “Don’t you understand that I can pray to my father to send me more than 12 legions of angels and get me out of this?” He said, “You your authority. You got legions of the Roman Empire. I got legions of angels in heaven. Now, who you think’s going to win?” I mean, did Jesus make that plain? Church, do you guys understand that we have angels encamped round about us? Do you really understand that? Hebrews chapter 12 says, “You have not come to that mountain that’s fires burning and everybody trembled.

▶ 22:04 You’ve come to Mount Zion. You’ve come to the church of the living God, to Jesus Christ the firstborn from the dead, to an innumerable, you can’t number them, company of angels. Hebrews 1 tells us that the angels are messengers for us. Are you there?

What are the church’s spiritual weapons, and have rituals replaced them?

▶ Watch this part (22:27)

Short answer: He says the church today “isn’t taught to fight spiritual battles with spiritual principles and spiritual weapons” and has replaced them with rituals like holy water and incense. He says “the prayer and the praise and the fasting and the speaking and the reading of the word” are the weapons that move in the heavens, and that Satan wants us to “come to church and sit and do nothing.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 22:27 And see, that’s why the church has got to understand this is a spiritual battle. And when we operate spiritual principles, then spiritual warfare gets done in the heavens and results come to the earth. But see, the church today isn’t taught to fight spiritual battles with spiritual principles and spiritual weapons. We have replaced the spiritual weapons with rituals.

▶ 22:58 You know, holy water and incense and all kinds of [unclear]. But the prayer and the praise and the fasting and the speaking and the reading of the word, those are weapons that moves in the heavens. And when the heavens conquer, then we get the results on earth. Amen. Yes. Hallelujah. So never underestimate the power of prayer, the prayer of praise, the power of worship, and the power of the word. Hallelujah. And see, Satan wants us to just come to church and sit and do nothing. That’s part of his deception because if he because he knows if you really get involved in the heavens, he’s going to be kicked around and beat up and on earth you’re going to get victory.

▶ 23:52 Hallelujah. Amen. But you see, we want to run to the mighty man of God or the whoever we idolize and some kind of magical prayer. They’re going to pray over us. No, we are supposed to come before God. We are supposed to go directly to his throne of grace. Amen.

Does God send angels to fight for His people? (2 Kings 19:35)

▶ Watch this part (24:13)

Short answer: He cites 2 Kings 19:35, where the angel of the Lord killed 185,000 men of the Assyrian army after Hezekiah prayed. He says “you got angels fighting for you,” so believers should “straighten our shoulders up” and not act like wimps, because “they’re the ones going to win the battle.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 24:13 Now, 2 Kings 19:35, the angel of the Lord killed in the camp of the Assyrian army 185,000 men. The army had circled about Jerusalem. Hezekiah prayed. God sent an angel. And the next morning, the Assyrian army woke up dead. You say, “How can they wake up dead?” Because the spirit lives on. Those guys went to sleep that night thinking they’re going to get up and they’re going to beat God’s people and they’re going to win this war.

▶ 24:45 And the angel came and destroyed 185,000 of them. Do you guys understand you got angels fighting for you? So, you know, we need to straighten our shoulders up. We need a little bit like the Marine Corps, you know, stand tall, man. We got power. Can you imagine our military going against the enemy all wimped out? I don’t know if we’re going to win this. No. They go in there and they talk, man. They they they what do you call that stuff when you are ragging on the enemy? You know, they they they encourage one another. We’re going to whip these bums and they’ll call them names and everything else. Ain’t that right? The church needs to act like that. Hallelujah.

▶ 25:38 We got angels fighting for us. I may be a wimp, but they’re not. So, I’m not going to act like a wimp because they’re the ones going to win the battle. So, see, this is a what? Spiritual war. Can you see that? And they got us thinking that Russia’s going to surround Jerusalem and all this garbage when there is a warfare going on in the heavenlies that brings results to the earth. Amen.

What is the sword that comes out of Jesus’ mouth?

▶ Watch this part (26:12)

Short answer: He says the sword is the word of God, citing Revelation 1:16, Revelation 2:16 and Ephesians 6:17. He says “the war is a war of the word,” and that “we don’t have to go at anybody with tanks and guns or anything else.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 26:12 Out of his mouth goes a sharp sword that with it he should smite the nations and he will rule the nations with a rod of iron. It says that in Psalms chapter 2. He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God Almighty. Out of his mouth goes what?

▶ 26:30 A sword. Now we know that sword is the word of God. Revelations 1:16, “His feet were like fine brass burning in a furnace. His voice as the sound of many waters, and out of his mouth went a what? Sharp two-edged sword.” So this writer is Jesus, and in his mouth he has a two-edged sword, and his countenance as the sun shines in its strength. Revelations 2:16, repent or I will come to you quickly and fight against them. These are the people in the church there that were committing idolatry, sexual immorality. And the Nicolaitans which are which were recorded by church fathers as being a very unrestrained people, a sinful people.

▶ 27:23 They believed but they lived in sin. Okay. He said, “I’ll fight with these people in the church with the what? Sword of my mouth.” Ephesians 6:17, the sword of the spirit, which is the what? Which is the what? Word of God. Word of God. So, this sword is what? The word of God. The war is a war of the word. Hallelujah. Now folks, this is very very uh liberating that the word of God has this kind of power that we don’t have to go at anybody with tanks and guns or anything else.

Why must the church know, speak and live the Word?

▶ Watch this part (28:19)

Short answer: He says Jesus created the world by His word and “wins battles by his word,” so it is “imperative” for the church to know the word, speak the word and live the word, because it is “the power of God that defeats the enemy.” He says Christians today don’t read the Bible, claiming “only like 10 or 15% read the Bible consistently,” and that “we don’t know beans about the word.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 28:19 The word of God. Jesus is using his word to defeat the enemy. His word is that powerful. Did he create the world by his word? Yeah. Duh. His word is powerful. And he created this world by his word. And he wins battles by his word. That’s why it’s imperative for its church to know the word, to speak the word, and live the word because the word is the power of God that defeats the enemy. Hallelujah. And Christians today don’t even read the Bible. Only like 10 or 15% read the Bible consistently. Most Christians do not know the word. All they know is what their preacher said or some book in the Christian life, uh, [unclear] bookstore says they don’t know Scripture. Am I right? Yeah. Most of you do not know scripture. You know what the television shows are saying. You know the baseball lineup and the batting averages. You know who’s the VIP of the of the basketball league and the football. You know all this information. We don’t know beans about the word. And so when we go to fight, we lose.

Did Jesus have a tattoo? (Revelation 19:16)

▶ Watch this part (29:52)

Short answer: He says “Jesus cannot violate scripture” and that in Old Testament laws you could not have tattoos, so He could not have been the sacrifice for the world’s sins if He had one. He points out the robe goes down to His foot, so the name “King of kings and Lord of lords” is on the outside of the clothing in the thigh area.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 29:52 And this war is a spiritual war. He has on his clothing and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The people with tattoos are trying to tell me, “See, Jesus had a tattoo.” I said, “That’s weak, man.”

▶ 30:10 That is so weak. Number one, Jesus cannot violate scripture. And in Old Testament laws, you could not have tattoos. If he would have had a tattoo, he couldn’t have been the one that died for the sins of the world. Just like if he’d have got intoxicated, he could not have died for the sins of the world. He had to be a lamb without blemish. Got it? And besides this robe goes down where? To his foot. And yet they could see in the thigh area the name what? King of kings and Lord of lords. So the name is what? On the outside of the clothing in the thigh area. Give me a break.

What does he say about the two witnesses in Revelation 11?

He says “the two witnesses are no wimps”: they kill people who try to hurt them with fire out of their mouth, shut up heaven so no rain falls, and bring plagues, like Moses and Aaron in Egypt. Then the beast comes up from the bottomless pit, overcomes them and kills them.

▶ Watch at 2:01

Scripture (NKJV)

And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire. When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor note: he says “Revelation 15” for the phrase “the faithful witness”; the caption reads “Revelations 15,” and the passage is Revelation 1:5 (the page shows 1:5). He introduces “let us make man in our image” as being “in revelation”; it is Genesis 1:26. He introduces “Matthew 26:53” with “Jesus is before Pilate”; Matthew 26:53 is the passage about twelve legions of angels at His arrest, and the words about having no power unless it was given from above are John 19:11 (both are shown). The caption “Gog” appeared as “God and Magog” and “ten horns” as “t horns”; these were corrected. “Nicolaitans” was garbled in the captions. “[Unclear]” marks three spots where the captions were not clear: a word describing what rides the beast (paragraph starting at 5:35), a word near “holy water and incense” (paragraph starting at 22:58), and a phrase before “bookstore” (paragraph starting at 28:19).
