Pastor David G. Kincer asks the significant question whether America and her churches will live the founders’ biblical morals or use grace-talk to excuse mistreatment and immorality. He cites Franklin, Adams, a congressional Bible, Ephesians 2 good works, James 2, and confronts Pew-era cultural sins.

Was this nation founded on biblical moral principles of Jesus Christ?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: He opens with Ben Franklin in 1787 at 81 addressing the president, arguing the nation was founded on biblical moral godly principles of Jesus Christ.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:00 That this nation was founded on biblical moral godly principles of Jesus Christ. Ben Franklin 1787 he’s 81 years old. He says mr president. We have gone back to the ancient history for models of government and examine the different forms of these republics we have viewed modern states all around europe but find none of their constitutions suitable for our circumstances. He gives us what the congress was doing they had examined all these governments trying to find a constitution for the united states of America then he goes and starts quoting scripture.

▶ 0:51 If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice the sermon on the mount it is probable that an empire can rise without his aid we have been assured sir in the sacred writings that’s the Bible that except the Lord built the house they lived here in vain that build it quoting out a scripture in the beginning of this contest with great britain when we were sensible of danger we had daily prayer in this room for the divine protection talks about prayer to God for protection our prayers sir were heard and they were graciously answered the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth that God governs in the affairs of men.

▶ 1:45 Yeah I beg therefore leave to move that from this time forth prayers imploring the assistance of heaven and its blessings upon our deliberations be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business this has been Franklin 17 and 87 he’s 81 years old now some of our opponents try to show him going to france and being a womanizer and all the rest. I thoroughly searched this out and really all they can find is he did spend time with women high noble women in places in france playing chess. Listening to music and talking about politics there is no evidence no proof that he was doing anything else like our opponents suggest.

What was Franklin’s creed near the end of his life?

▶ Watch this part (2:42)

Short answer: In a 1790 letter to Ezra Stiles of Yale two months before death, Franklin stated his creed. Adams: the Bible is the best book; July 1796 the Christian religion. Founders publicly affirmed Scripture and Christian morals.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:42 Again. Ben Franklin gives us his creed. In a letter to Ezra Stiles the president of Yale in night in 1790. Just two months before his death. He says here is my creed here is my doctrine here is my beliefs he’s writing this to the president of Yale university I believe in one God I believe in the crew he is the creator of the universe I believe he governs the whole universe by his providence. I believe he ought to be worshiped. I believe that the most acceptable service that we can render to him is doing good to his other children.

▶ 3:35 I believe that the soul of manism immortal. And and and decaying undestructive and treated with justice in another life respecting its conduct in this he believed in the judgment to come life after death. These I take to be the fundamental principles of all sound religion. As to Jesus. This Jesus of Nazareth I think the system of morals and his religion as he left them to us the best the world has ever saw or likely to see I have some doubts as to his divinity whether he is God or not though never studying it at least he admitted I never really looked into the subject.

▶ 4:34 But I see no harm and it’s being believed. All sects here and we have a great variety. Sect is a group of Christian people who believe in the Bible that divided from others I have never opposed any of their doctrines and I hope to go out of this world in peace with them all and so ben Franklin just boldly. Told us his beliefs and boldly in congress. As for prayer to be held and folks prayer is still being held in congress today. Yet they won’t allow in public schools and so forth. Okay. Here is a statement by John Adams in his letter to thomas Jefferson in 1813.

▶ 5:30 I have examined all religions and the result is that the Bible is the best book in the world John Adams July the 26 1796 the Christian religion is above all the religions so we see the political politically correct it was politically correct to use Jesus Christ God worship prayer sacred scriptures Bible Christian creator good morals it was politically correct back then and has been for 200 years it’s just in the recent decades it’s not politically correct. So they say more statements. By our founding fathers george Washington.

▶ 6:24 To the delaware indian chiefs 1779. You do well to. Wish to learn our arts and our ways of life and above all you do well to learn the religion of Jesus Christ. And george Washington had slaves. Thomas Jefferson. In a letter to charles thompson in 1816. I am a real Christian. That is to say I am a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus Christ. Now folks there is no debate about that. Okay.

▶ 7:18 We go on and we find that the new england primer. Is the book that our founding fathers learned from when they went to school in the colonies and our founding fathers allowed other Americans to learn from after it would become a nation and all throughout the english primer scripture is used on this page 11 three scriptures are used one out of Ephesians one out of Matthew and one out of Proverbs written right in their book that these students had to read. There was no separation between the Bible and education in the colonial days nor after we became a nation. On September the 11th 1777 congress ordered 20 000 bibles so they could be used by the military the men that were fighting the revolutionary war there was no separation of the Bible.

Did Congress recommend a Bible for America?

▶ Watch this part (8:26)

Short answer: In 1782 Robert Aitken petitioned Congress and got approval and the recommendation to print the first Bible in the United States—no separation between God and the state back then. He cites the Library of Congress that in 1740 over 75% of Americans went to church.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:26 And the state the government of the united states. In 1782. Robert Aitken. Petition congress and got approval. And the recommendation. From congress to print the first Bible and the united states. Again no separation between the Bible between God and the state back then not at all now with all this information of God in our declaration of independence with our main founding fathers and I could quote you a lot more but I just took the four main ones. The significant question that we have to ask ourselves.

▶ 9:22 With all this focus on Jesus Christ the Bible and and God. If they wrote the declaration of independence using God twice. And publicly making loyal statements about Jesus God Christ prayer nature’s God christianity but the Bible the creator the good and the morals. The significant question is why did the colonists mistreat innocent indians not all indians were bad. Not all the indians were trying to get their scalp. Foreign why did they mistreat the african. Why did they mistreat other Christians.

▶ 10:18 Like the puritans killed a woman because she was a quaker and wanted to live in the puritan colony. They hung her why did they mistreat women. Couldn’t vote women couldn’t have any kind of a professional job they could have low life jobs. They could not have be involved in politics. With all of this loyalty talking to about God the Bible why did our found our founding. Americans not just the fathers but the people that lived there. Why did they mistreat these people natori some of them did not rebel some of them did not fight against them they just believed in another government system a monarch instead of a republic.

▶ 11:19 Now you’ve got to understand according to the library of congress in 1740 over 75 percent of the people in America went to church. Over 75 percent. They actually said 75 to 85 percent. So I commit I submit to you that America was a Christian nation. When you got over 75 percent of people going to church they’re not going to the mosque. They’re not going to a buddha temple they’re going to a Christian church catholic baptist presbyterian anglican episcopalian or some kind of church. That’s a Bible name the church is a Bible name it’s a Bible word meaning called out ones we come out of sin we come out of darkness into his life we come out of wrong into his right that’s the church.

▶ 12:23 That’s the terminology used here. And our opponents say that America was not a Christian nation. And they’re promoting those lies on the internet and people who read the internet without doing any research believe a bunch of baloney. The internet is a fast way to get lies out. You got to do your research you got to know why they’re saying it the purpose of their saying it and above all the authority by which they’re saying it. The proof. Now I’m going to give you three Bible reasons. To answer the significant question.

▶ 13:17 Okay. The Bible being the authority. The evidence and the proof. Not something that someone dreamed up and thought up. But the Bible explains a lot of things. Number one. First Corinthians. 3 3. I cannot speak to you as unto mature Christians. But I got to speak to you as babies as carnal. Carnal is human physical nature our human nature our our material. Desires or inferiorities or so forth that we humans measure everything but what they have humans follow the lust of the eye the lust of the flesh and the pride of life.

Why does he say divided, envious Christians are still babies?

▶ Watch this part (14:20)

Short answer: From First Corinthians he says envy and strife show believers are babies and carnal; saying “I’m of Paul, I’m of Peter” is like saying I’m Baptist, Catholic or Pentecostal. He then reads Romans 3:27 and 11:6 that we are justified by faith and grace, not works, and warns that people used being saved by grace to mistreat Indians and Africans.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:20 He says you envy. You have strong feelings of resentment against other people. You have strife. You have conflict strife is conflicts from rivalry. Saying bad things about someone else to make yourself look good. You have envy you have strife. Are you not babies are you not carnal. And walk as men. Not as Christ and then he says one of you says I’m of Paul I’m of Peter I’m of paulus. He said is Christ divided and so babies are divided I’m a baptist I’m a seventh-day adventist I’m a catholic I’m a pentecostal I’m an orthodox I’m a this week still got it today we still haven’t grown up.

▶ 15:24 The majority of our colonists were baby Christians. Say. And a baby only knows the savior. Save me from my sin save me from my sins save me from my sin. Doesn’t know how to walk a mature man according to Hebrews chapter 5 the last few verses is one that’s skillful and the word of righteousness. See mature Christians. Are skilled in righteousness. But a baby isn’t. See a mature Christian would never mistreat another person because they know what the Bible and Christ is all about they would never do anything to hurt another person but babies are ignorant of these truths or they.

▶ 16:21 Just hardened themselves not to obey that trip. Second one. Romans chapter 3 verse 27 Romans 11:6. We’re justified by the law of faith. And 11 6 were justified by the law of grace. Not works. We don’t have to do anything to be approved of God we don’t have to do anything to get to heaven we’re made right justified. We’re made right in the eyes of God because I believe in Jesus period. And so. Most of the colonists including catholics. Believed this. This calvinist teaching calvin really pushed this thing and the baptist caught on to it really pushed it.

▶ 17:19 And so they could mistreat the indian they can mistreat the african they can mistreat people because they’re saved by grace through faith. And the third one. They are ignorant. Of or they are hardened to the three great commandments. Love God. Love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no harm to his neighbor. And whatsoever you would that men do to you do to them likewise if you don’t want to be a slave don’t enslave people if you don’t want to be persecuted for your governmental belief don’t persecute others for their government belief.

▶ 18:17 It’s that simple. But the truth is back in the colonial days most Christians were babies. They never got past faith. They never got into righteousness. And thus they never grew up and become a mature Christian you know the Bible tells us in John that their eyes are baby Christian there is a child Christian there is a adolescent Christian and there is a mature Christian. We need to grow up and be mature Christians that exercise right could that be an amen. Now remember not all. Colonialists were baby Christians and ignorant.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 3:3-4 (NKJV)

for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?

— 1 Corinthians 3:3-4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:20 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

Romans 11:6 (NKJV)

And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

— Romans 11:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:21

Are believers created unto good works?

▶ Watch this part (19:09)

Short answer: Ephesians 2: we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works—grow up and be righteous. James 2: faith without works. Romans 13 and 6: obey governing authority and not continue in sin. Matthew 22: love God and neighbor.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:09 Many of them spoke against these abuses and they paid the price for it pastors were killed for helping slaves escape. Now properties were burnt houses were burnt because of these people’s beliefs and these people’s speech. You see and that’s what’s keeping present-day Americans from saying anything they don’t want anybody saying anything bad about them and they don’t want to lose their job and they don’t want to lose their material things. Which is part of the carnality material things. Ephesians 2:8 for by grace are you saved through faith that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works this any man should boast and they stopped there they stopped there they don’t go on to read the rest of that phrase.

▶ 20:12 The rest of the phrase says we are his workmanship created. And Christ Jesus unto what good works. See we’re supposed to grow up and be righteous people do good. See the law that we are not under anymore is the law of sin and death and the shadow laws we’re not under the shadow laws we have the real thing and we’re not under the law of sin and death Christ has set us free from the law of sin and death so we’re not under the law of sin and death and we’re not under the shadow laws but we are under moral laws and so is the whole earth James 2:17 faith without works is dead being alone. You can’t just have faith without works you got to combine the two.

▶ 21:05 And it’s not trying to work to get into heaven it’s working good and right because you are in heaven don’t isn’t that isn’t that clear. There’s nothing we can do to attain heaven he did it for us on the cross but because he did it for us we work like crazy diligently to do good. Letting our light shine before men that they may see our good works and bring honor to the one who died on the cross you don’t bring honor to the one who died on the cross if you’re not doing good works. Romans 13:3 rulers are not a terror to good works but to the evil. See even in the book of Romans he told the people after all of this you’re not underworks you’re under grace and he said man if you don’t do good works government officials are going to take care of you they’re going to arrest you they’re going to imprison you they’re going to hang you are you there.

▶ 22:11 You do evil work you’re going to pay the price for and that’s what government is there for Romans 6:15. Shall we sin because we’re under grace God forbid the writer of Romans balanced it all out but church most of Americans even today don’t have the balance they really believe the lie because they believe in Christ no matter what they do they’re going to heaven. And that was the problem back then that’s why these people that quoted the Bible. That really believed in Christ and all the rest could mistreat others because they were baby Christians or they were ignorant. Of the Bible truths basic Bible truth these are the three great commandments is just basic Bible doctrine that sum up the whole Bible how can you not how can you miss that how can not ministers teach that as a priority teaching thomas Jefferson addressed the significant question.

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

What did Jefferson say about the doctrines of Jesus?

▶ Watch this part (23:17)

Short answer: Letter to Benjamin Waterhouse: doctrines of Jesus are simple. Colonial address of moral simplicity versus later excuses.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:17 Back in the colonial days he addressed it. His letter to Benjamin Waterhouse 879 1880 1822 the doctrines of Jesus are simple and the doctrines of Jesus tend to all the happiness of men and then he goes on to say there’s only one God and this one God is perfect complete total. There is a future state of rewards and punishments. He believed that you’re all going to stand before God on judgment day and you’re going to be rewarded by your works by how you treat people to love God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself is the sum of religion and that’s exactly what the Bible says in Matthew 22:37-40 it says the greatest commandment is to love God the second one is the love your neighbor is yourself and it sums up all the law and the prophets and then he attacks his opponents.

▶ 24:21 The opponents of what he just said some people were saying there were three gods I think he just misunderstood the word trinity no one that believes in the trinity believes there are three gods. They’re just one God expressing himself in three ways but that’s why thomas Jefferson said you guys are saying there’s three gods number two. You guys are saying that good works or the love of your neighbor are nothing this is calvinism. You say faith is everything and the more incomprehensible the proposition the more merit in its faith in other words instead of taking a boat to America I’m gonna swim God will get me there yeah right and he’s right Christians come up with this and bull nonsense of boy the more ridiculous I can do to show my faith shows I am a really a man of faith number four that reason reason is.

▶ 25:26 Making decisions judging by the simple logic. That reason in religion is of unlawful use can’t bring in any kind of human thinking everything’s to ought be spiritual thing number five that God from the beginning elected certain individuals to be saved and certain other individuals to be damned to hell in the lake of fire and that no crimes of those that are elected to be saved can be damned and no virtues no doing good of those that are elected to burn in a lake of fire can save them he says I can never join calvin never. Today in America. 92 percent according to the gallup poll in 2011 believing God.

What do Pew numbers say, and does faith-plus-nothing equal approval?

▶ Watch this part (26:22)

Short answer: He cites Pew Research 2014: about 22% non-religious and 70% claim Christian—as spoken. Faith plus nothing equals God’s approval is the false formula he rejects when lifestyle denies Christ.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 26:22 22 percent are non-religious. And 70 percent claim to be a Christian according to the Pew research 2014. Faith plus nothing equal God’s approval eternal life. Most of them that’s what they believe. Most Americans do not connect doing right with God at all it’s just faith I’m approved by God because I believe and I’m going to heaven. Secondly the miraculous minus morals miraculous without morals starts with eternal life the first miracle that can be done in your life is salvation there’s no greater miracle than that it is a miraculous thing that God can come to an individual convict him of his sins.

▶ 27:15 Get him to repent and turn from his sins and enter into the kingdom of God but that without works. That without morals. Is worthless if it doesn’t change my life what good does it do my family what good does it do America what good does it really do me 95 percent of Americans cannot quote the old new covenant or the three laws that sum up the Bible our opponents are always knocking the Bible and none of them can tell me what the old covenant was about the Old Testament New Testament old covenant new covenant what is the old covenant and I guarantee in this room today 95 percent of you cannot tell me what the old covenant is.

▶ 28:10 And I guarantee you 95 percent can’t tell me what the new covenant is. Let me give you some examples of beliefs without reason now remember I’m talking about Christians and non-Christians evolution. Evolution is the most ridiculous thing the so-called professors the so-called intellectuals are telling us that life came out of non-life elements. That some were there was matter back there condensed into a microscopic you couldn’t see it with the naked eye and it blew up into this growing universe the universe is still growing. I mean how illogical that is same-sex behavior and same-sex marriage come on folks there’s no logic in this and I could also tell you and I learned this from the homosexuals themselves the lesbians what they do it’s just crazy.

What does he say about same-sex practice, self-defense, and officials above the law?

▶ Watch this part (29:11)

Short answer: He says same-sex practice has no logic and no reproduction, and letting them adopt children is insane. Isaiah 1 says come and let us reason together; he says Americans have a right to defend family and property, and that immigrants, criminals in sanctuary cities and government officials of both parties have been treated as above just laws.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 29:11 They got to use a plastic penis because they don’t want a real one. That is stupid there’s no logic and there’s no reproduction. And to let them adopt children is just insane. The embryo is not a human being or what do they think it is they say a guava tissue well what does that global tissue turn into if it’s left alone it doesn’t turn into a donkey it doesn’t turn into a horse it turns into a human being so the logic is that embryo is a human being now two years ago scientists said that everything that baby needs to be a human being is at conception the scientists have proven it.

▶ 30:11 They still won’t believe it. See it’s illogic and they yet they say they’re using reason they’re using science. False science is never rational thinking. Aid to the poor. If I just help the poor I’m a great Christian. Listen billy gates helps the poor more than any of you can out there and he’s an atheist. He just gives out of his abundance the Bible says if you don’t work you don’t eat you need to give the poor jobs that’s the key that gives them self-esteem that gives them a source to provide for themselves tomorrow you give them a loaf of bread today you got to give them another loaf of bread tomorrow but you give them a job they can work guns take away our gun that is the stupidest thing I ever heard of I lived in detroit where ben carson lived let me tell you I have a high respect for being carson I knew the area he grew up in detroit I went there one time and as a white boy you better not go back again.

▶ 31:27 A gun in your house is the only thing that kept the thugs out of breaking into your house. These people in the presidency and congress they got bodyguards and they live in nice gated communities and they go we gotta get rid of guns. We the American people have a right to defend our family our daughters from getting raped our children from getting abused and beat up and our property from being robbed amen. Isaiah 1 says come and let us reason together let’s think logical God says does God think logically absolutely. Immigrants the immorals and government officials are above the law. Above just laws.

▶ 32:20 Immigrants can come in and break the law. Criminals can break the law and they can go to sanctuary cities and be protected by the law. Our officials our government including president obama including president bush including president clinton including president bush senior anne reagan. Did not keep our immigration laws. They’re above the law. Yet if I park my car out on the street in my neighborhood on Tuesday they write me up. If I leave my garbage cans out two days after the garbage can day went they write me up.

▶ 33:18 A corrupt judicial system. Favoring illogical immorality let me give you an example of a logical immorality. Two years ago the state of california passed a law that a 12 year old girl can have abortion without her parents not knowing about it. That means she can have sex without parents not knowing about it that means some guy who got her pregnant is going to be protected because no one knows about it. Where is the logic of that a 12 year old there’s no logic and yet they say they use reason the Bible is a book of mysticism and a book of faith we use reason that’s not logical reason is it no.

▶ 34:15 Now most Americans today are baby ignorant Christians that’s the problem. But there are a minority who understand righteousness who understand these things and they are speaking up. We need to unite with them. And be a bigger voice. And turn America back. In closing. Those who attack America for their past mistakes. Are the same people that approve the abuse of babies. The abuse of children but what politician is addressing the abuse of children. One and a half million children run away every year or are cast out thrown out by the parents every year what politician does hillary ever address this issue.

▶ 35:16 How many you know preventative maintenance is better than reparative maintenance. It is better that these people learn that the marriage and the family between a man and a woman and and their children are the backbone of America it’s not these permissive people. They abused public school students they teach our public school students lies of evolution they teach them the lies of homosexual bisexual relationships. They teach them lies that are founding fathers we’re not Christian and this nation was not established on crits and principles even though they might have been baby Christians and ignorant Christians they still was a Christian people. These same people that attack America for its weaknesses of yesterday.

▶ 36:11 Are creating in our generation an abuse of children and babies and school students they abused Jesus and the Bible. They say that America is not a Christian nation. That the Bible is a book of faith not facts it’s a book of myths not morals they say that man created God and that the state is separate from God from religion. From the Bible. And that only leaves you secular thinking isn’t it nice to have a monopoly. If I’m a secularist I have a monopoly shut up. You are in a religion. I have the only freedom of choice speech here and this is what these people do they blast us for our past and they are promoters of the abuse in our generation could that be true it is true yes.

▶ 37:18 They absolutely do not understand and you need to understand. What a Christian nation is and what trusting in God is all right. At first Peter 4:15 let none of you suffer as a murderer a thief an evil doer or busybody in other people’s matters yet if anyone suffers as a Christian let him not be ashamed so what is a Christian one who does not steal kill and the Bible says that hatred is murder hatred is what leads up to murder so Christians don’t hate they don’t despise other people and look down on other people they don’t murder they don’t steal and they don’t do things that harm other people that’s what the Bible defines a Christian is and I submit to you and to my opponent what is wrong with America being a Christian nation that does not steal that does not murder that does not hate and does not harm others what is wrong with being called a Christian nation when you understand the definition of a Christian.
