The Seventh Seal — Book of Revelation: full transcript and answers

▶ 0:01 Today we’re going to talk about the long, long and involved seventh seal. Here’s a little chart showing the seventh seal we stopped at the sixth seal last week but uh you can see here that there are seven seven seals seven trumpets and seven bowls okay but it’s all under what the seventh seal, it’s all under what the seventh seal which is the full opening of the book so it’s all under the book. Hallelujah. Now it says and you can just follow along in your Bible I’m going to be giving you a lot of scriptures this morning uh starting in Revelations chapter 8

▶ 1:01 verse one. The seventh seal was open. And there was silence in heaven for one half an hour most of us have been silent all of our life let alone a half an hour God gives you one and a half an hour and then he expects you to open up. And trumpets were given to seven angels. Okay now we got to remember on the sixth seal on the sixth seal this is important he said the day of wrath has come all right this is important remember that say that day of wrath very important I’m going to connect it to something the scriptures are going to connect it to something later it’s going to really illuminate you okay because a lot of you have been hearing tv and radio stuff on the second coming and they have totally distracted you from the power of God in the church on

All right, the scroll the heavens are rolled up like a what scroll that’s after the sun turned black and the moon turned to blood the heavens rolled up like a scroll now where is the moon and sun in the heavens right so they’re gone. So this cannot be in sequence like they said because the sun’s brought up later and how can it be brought up when it’s gone are you there? Hallelujah, now the people hide from him that’s sitting on the throne hiding from who him that’s sitting on the throne who’s on the throne Jesus Christ God himself he’s on the throne his power speaks of his power and people are hiding the great men of the earth are hiding the strong ones they’re you know, Buffett and all these, and Gates and all these rich people they’re

▶ 3:15 hiding from the one on the throne so are they seeing the one on the throne yeah there’s no what? Happened, they see the one on the throne and they are hiding okay okay then the angel says we got to have a delay don’t let the four angels reserve to hurt the earth don’t do that yet we got to do some things do you remember what they were number one the martyr quota the people dying because they serve Jesus number two, saints sealed okay the saints are sealed and for those who say there’s a 144,000 Jews going to be sealed they’re going to be virgins listen I just read from one of the famous end time people they said there’s some Jews over in Israel that make a vow not to get married and they’re going to be virgins and they’re going to be converted during this tribulation period and they’re going to evangelize the world folks that is pure fantasy that is just pure fantasy see when you say something you try to reach out and and bring answers for

▶ 4:28 it. Number one, God is going to do a lot more than 144,000 people isn’t that right I mean he brought over two and a half million people out of Egypt surely he can do better than that in our generation wouldn’t you say an amen and besides that there’s two tribes missing which tribes are missing? Ephraim and Dan now you think God’s mixed up up there no he’s not he’s just trying to give another illustration of sealing the saints and we do crazy things with it. Are you there aren’t you glad there’s more than 144,000 going to make it in hallelujah yes now and then the third one was the I got the infinity sign here because I didn’t want to I couldn’t take up room on my screen an innumerable company of robed people robed with righteousness by the blood of the lamb now let me ask you is there any other way for us to get

No, we’re all given these white robes of righteousness because of the blood Jesus shed and we believe and trust it and accept it now folks that’s not for 144,000 that’s for who all of us come on any kindergarten Christian can understand that there is no other way, it’s him, amen, make sense yeah and so there’s a delay because he hadn’t sealed all the people he wants to seal yet and sealing is important because and you’ll see that later you’ll see why you what happens because you’re sealed okay and it says there’s no hunger there’s no thirst there’s no tears and there’s no sun now folks that’s directly related to Revelations 21:11 or 21:1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth and the first heaven and earth were passed away and there was no more sea God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there will be no more death nor sorrow nor crying neither any more pain this is after Revelations 20 where there’s the resurrection the great white throne judgment the lake of fire people being cast into it and all the rest this is after it and it’s

▶ 7:06 right here at the sixth seal, so it cannot be in sequence, do you understand that, because if it was in sequence it would be over right here and it’s not he has given us instruction of what things to come the day of wrath what’s going to happen in the day of wrath just like the prophets did. Now that’s good stuff are you getting it am I preaching over your head? All right, so that’s the simple little chart. Now they say that Jesus is going to come like a thief in the night. Okay and he’s going to come later at the end of this whole thing as a thief in the night. Now folks they’re saying he’s

▶ 8:03 coming, people have disappeared because they say the raptures right here there’s a little word up here that says rapture see it it says rapture I know you can’t read it and especially Mr. Barnes, cuz he won’t wear glasses the second returns over here now and then they tell me the second coming is as a thief in the night. Now folks you know over half the people are dead you know you got things falling out of the sky, you got the heavens rolled back, you got the graves open for this rapture thing and you got this antichrist superhuman being that’s uh in charge of the nations through the United Nations they say you got an economic collapse of all the nations on the earth everybody’s poor there’s no jobs nothing going on economic collapse they say and then death is through war hunger beast and death itself just dying you got all this stuff going on and then they’re telling me he’s coming like a thief in the night that would be like a thief coming to my

▶ 9:16 house. There’s a guy in my neighborhood’s got a little red bug and that thing’s got a muffler on as loud as I’ll get out I know when he leaves in the morning I know when he comes home during the day and I know when he comes home at night. That’s like a thief pulling up in front of my house honking horn and then he gets out and he shoots his gun in the air bam bam bam I’m going to sleep through that and then he gets up on my roof rings my doorbell gets up on the roof and takes my roof off the heavens going roll away and I’m still sleeping I don’t think so. Are you there? They tell them all this stuff and then they say he’s going to come nobody’s going to know it because the Bible says a thief comes in an hour when what you know.

▶ 10:12 not. See, we, we know something’s up good grief you have to be numb in your brain not to figure this thing out. It says in 1 Thessalonians 5:4 brethren you’re not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief that that day should what overtake you as a thief where are the people in that verse? Still on earth. that day should not overtake you as a what thief the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night where are the people of God still when Jesus comes? On earth. You see we just read things in because we get an idea and then we make the scriptures try to work for us and Jesus himself said the thief comes at an hour that you what know not Jesus himself said as it was in the days of Noah they’re buying they’re selling they’re marrying they’re giving in marriage and all this stuff in other words what life is going on normal and poof Jesus comes oh there he

▶ 11:37 is. But if all this stuff is coming up and and we’re leaving to a uh we’re leading up to a climatic thing, that ain’t no thief thing. Are you there? Hallelujah. Well Lord I’m doing my best, open our eyes. Where’s the where’s the people in the house when Jesus said the thief comes in an hour you know not what where are they at in the house? And yet we want to take the church out and then the thief comes and and all this stuff going on, and that’s not a thief. Are you with me? Okay, alleluia.

▶ 12:31 Now here’s the part they leave out every one of them I read Chuck Smith you know all these people with their charts and all this stuff they leave out this most important thing I think there’s another angel okay another angel. He comes. And this is after the seventh seal is open and this angel stands at the altar the altar of gold and he has a golden censer and he offers much incense before the throne. He says these this incense with the what prayers of the saints.

▶ 13:30 ascend. Anybody know what the word ascend means go up so where are the saints? Below on earth. Duh. Are you out there? Are you offering up prayers listen our prayers go right up to God God watch this this is powerful if you’re not a prayer I trust today you will change your mind and find time to pray every day at home and come to church to pray because this is what happens the power of prayer okay the prayers come up before God, they ascend to him then the censer is cast to earth okay the prayers go up and then what God moves and touches the earth voices, thunderings,

▶ 14:35 lightning, lightnings and a quake an earthquake hit the earth. Now listen, this is what David said after he got victory over his enemies Psalms 18 verse 6 and also in Samuel 2 Samuel in my distress I called upon the Lord. I cried unto my God he heard my voice out of his temple and my cry came before him even unto his ears isn’t that

Now listen when his cry came before God this is what God did: then the earth shook there’s that quake and trembled the hills moved and were shaken because God was angry there went up a smoke out of his nostrils and fire out of his mouth that divided and coals were kindled by it the Lord thundered in the heavens and the highest gave his voice hailstones and coals of fire yay he sent out his arrows and scattered them my enemies and he shot out lightnings and discomfited them do you see the allegory see over there our prayers went up and then God what moved in the earth with lightnings and voices and shaking and David told us David didn’t see lightning bolts he didn’t see hail coming down he didn’t see fire he saw his enemies.

▶ 16:22 Defeated but that’s how God illustrated it amen God says you pray and when enough prayers get up there I’m going to rise smoke’s going to I’m going to get mad you think you got a temper well you stir up God’s temper man smoke comes out of his nose comes out of his ear man you [unclear] with my people I’m going to get you. Hallelujah do you get it these theory people live this whole thing out why well there’s nobody supposed to be down here, all the good folks are gone. But the prayer ascended didn’t it so it wouldn’t need to ascend if they were in heaven by him with it it’d go straight across. Folks this Bible is a book of common sense think about it it’s ascending because the prayers are going on where on earth because the people of God are still where there no rapture yet and there’s no word rapture in the Bible they’re talking about first Thessalonians where it says we’re caught up.

Hallelujah church we got to get serious about prayer at home and here and I don’t care how feeble-minded you think you are and how weak you are this verse says that if you will pray it will come up to God and God will come and defeat your enemies and his enemies and exalt his church in the earth can I hear an amen he did it for David and he’ll do it for who you and I see we try to get out of our problems ourself but a little bit of prayer and a little bit of praise and worship will do wonders I guarantee you prayer is very powerful amen from this day forth can we become a seriously praying church can we lift our voices and pray let me let’s do it for one minute let’s lift up our voices and pray and just ask God to fulfill this father we lift up our voices unto you right now Lord we’re not ashamed to come to you come to your throne we’re not ashamed to stand before you Lord we’re not ashamed to let our prayers ascend into the heavenlies Lord we need our enemies defeated Lord we need our problems solved and you are the one that defeats our enemies and you are the one that solves our problems and all you asked us to do Lord Jesus is to humble ourselves and pray and turn from our wicked ways and Lord that you will forgive us of our sins and you’ll not only heal us you’ll heal our land and so Lord we pray this day that you you move us to move America you move us to move the nations Lord come with your lightning bolts

▶ 19:04 come with your earthquakes come oh Lord with your hail and fire Lord and move in the earth Lord and subdue the enemies of God under his feet Lord and subdue our enemies under our feet Lord we’re going to pray Lord Jesus we’re going to pray like there’s no tomorrow we’re going to worship like there’s no tomorrow Lord we’re going to be a changed people now for we see in your word the power of prayer you do hear here no matter how weak we are or how young we are in God you hear our prayer and you move on your behalf thank you Lord Jesus. And now that’s how you pray, that’s how Korea prays, that’s how Africa prays, they put us to shame. we won’t humble ourselves and lift our voice kneel down before our God raise our hands and you know that’s simple things we can do.

▶ 20:02 Hallelujah and don’t give me that stuff you got to pray in your closet that means your attitude we would never know I just had to deal with this over the internet we would never know Jesus’s prayers if he thought them, he prayed them out loud we would never know the prayers of David and those prophets of old if they just thought them they prayed them out loud they were recorded amen and we need to pray out loud why cuz we need need to hear it we’re the ones that need to hear it not God he knows already you’re not telling him anything new, you’re just telling him Lord I’m responding. Amen. Hallelujah and I guarantee you church if you begin to praise God like that and you begin to pray like that when people come in it just catches on they just do it but when you sit around and you talk and you giggle like it’s going on at that little table right now and distractions then that’s what they

You say well I’m not in it today then do the sacrifice grow up you know you’re not always walking on a cloud you’re not always on fire inside and so you do what by faith what do you think faith is? Faith is doing something because you don’t have it but you know it’s there amen you know it’s the right thing to do the sacrifice of praise are you with me church next week let’s just burn this mountain up with prayer and praise and let’s watch God start expanding us and and moving in people’s lives [unclear] and they leave this out how many think this is a it is an important part of this second coming that’s all just three of you folks prayer is important now how many of you believe prayer is important of the second coming yes absolutely get away from this kindergarten whoo he’s coming in the clouds like a thief woo I’m going to be caught up out of this trouble get grown up we are here the gates of hell shall not prevail against what the church we are here to conquer have you read your Bible we are more than what conquerors and overcomers in this life when in this life when in this.

▶ 22:20 Life. Hallelujah praise God now we get the seventh trumpet, now we get the seven trumpets number one you can read this in Revelations 8:7, first angel sounded and hail, fire mingled with blood was cast into the earth one third of the trees and one-third of the grass was burnt up there’s no time period given here at all great fiery mountain the second trumpet was cast into the sea and one-third of the sea was turned to blood and the sea creatures died one-third of them and the ships were destroyed and sunk and it doesn’t say the people on them were destroyed I don’t know. Why God didn’t tell us everything and besides I just believe he’s given us illustration of what’s going to take place before he comes the burning wormwood star falls on earth here comes now the stars are gone supposedly if you believe in the sequence but here comes a star out of nowhere fallen from something that’s not up there

▶ 23:36 anymore and it’s called wormwood and it’s bitter and uh you know that 69% of the earth is salt water correct you know that 1.7% of the earth is freshwater and you know that the rest almost 30% of the earth is land cuz you went to school. Hallelujah now it says it fell on the waters the seas or the water the fresh water up, there’s the sea, that’s salt water, and then it falls on the uh fresh water so that leaves about uh 1.2% fresh water left on earth, okay cuz one-third of the fresh water is not working anymore now folks if we can live on 1.7% of fresh water is it possible to live at 1.2% of fresh

▶ 24:40 water? Not that big a difference is there? Hallelujah but many people die doesn’t say how many but I tell you one thing third sure sounds like many to me how about you many and many you usually means most and so there’s a lot of people dying from this uh, uh, one-third, uh, half% of the water one half of a percent of water being touched and there’s no time periods for these events you got that no time periods they fabricate these time periods there’s no time period given. The fourth trumpet blows one-third of the sun and it’s supposed to be gone already and that right if it’s in sequence like they said there’s no sun up there yet one-third of the sun’s been smitten now this really all to illuminate you that this is not a sequential thing that it’s something that’s going to happen before the day of the

▶ 26:05 Lord. And if you’ll follow with me in the next couple of weeks you’re really going to get enlightened. I’m just setting the groundwork here. The moon the stars were dark the day was one-third day and the night was 1/3 night. Now have you ever figured that one out. You know the sun is light the absence of light is dark, and yet we got one third night. Hallelujah if I got you thinking and the sun’s smitten so I can understand why one-third of the day is gone but that would increase the night one-third and yet the nights increase 2/3 because 1/3 of the night well no I can’t say that one-third of the night’s taken away so what happens to one-third of the 24-hour period.

▶ 27:20 Here you see when you try to make these things work out with the human mind you run into blocks and when you run into a roadblock it’s time to go whoops I need to relook at these things and then he says, and the night shone not you know uh I guess one-third of the moon didn’t shine I don’t know there’s places where the uh whoo whoa whoo there’s three woes coming for the next three trumpets okay and here we go first woe, the fifth trumpet. I saw a star fall from heaven under the earth and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit and uh how many of those stars don’t have hands how many those stars can’t use

▶ 28:12 keys? So obviously he’s talking about a spirit being. Okay now let me really challenge your thinking the wise men not three we don’t know how many there were followed the star all the way to Jerusalem and then the star disappears, it’s gone and then the star reappears and it reappears right over the stable where Jesus is now folks use your common sense the nearest star is thousands of miles up there. How in the world is it going to hover over a little little stable in Jerusalem? But an angel can. And why would these wise men follow a star

▶ 29:14 anyway? Are you there? See this confirms that the star the wise men followed was a spirit being illuminating their way. Amen. Yeah. Hallelujah ah of course I know you guys know all this stuff you read your Bible all the time and I’m just, do you ever think like that you [unclear] me. No, you’re weird okay anyway this spirit being comes down to earth to where earth with a key to an endless pit have you seen an endless pit anywhere on earth? No, that’s

▶ 30:07 right. You see again the natural thinking doesn’t work here does it it comes down to earth with a key to an endless pit but the endless pit is in the spirit world. And if God opens your eyes to the spirit world you’d see it all you’d see angels here you’d see Jesus here you say how can he be here in every other church well he can be everywhere he’s Jesus. Amen when he says I am in your presence when you gather together he means it he’s here he doesn’t lie to us. Amen. Okay and he released a furnace of smoke and locust with power to torment people five months now watch this 5 months we got one time period and what the time period 5 months not 3 and 1/2 years not this not 12 days we got five.

▶ 31:09 Months and what people does he torment? People without the seal of God. Oh well if he’s tormenting people without the seal of God, guess where the people with the seal of God is? On earth. Duh. are you there he can’t touch the people if they were in heaven he wouldn’t say don’t touch the people of God, so we’re still where right here on earth no rapture yet. Is this making sense to you now this is just using the scriptures as they are I don’t have to twist anything I don’t have to go over to Ezekiel and Daniel and make up things and all this to get your attention this is just what John is saying right exactly what he’s saying.

▶ 32:13 Okay and it goes on to say that the king over this is uh Apollyon and Abaddon which means the destroyer and uh destroyer okay so Satan is the destroyer so Satan is the king of the locust that’s coming out of the smoke right now we know he’s not bringing locust out it’s an illustration, something’s coming out. Okay men seek death but cannot die for these what five months they are so tormented while we’re walking around hey everything’s cool man this is a woe, and a woe depends on what side of the cloud you’re on like Israel on the other side of the cloud there was darkness on their side of the cloud there was light and blessing in God amen and so man we’re down here saying whoa this is a woe, this is looking pretty

▶ 33:13 good, it’s a pretty good woe. Amen now how many of us would be strutting on that day man yeah yeah huh we told you guys you should have repented. We told you you should have been serving Jesus. Hallelujah now you got to remember this an economic collapse there’s no job there’s no money I don’t know how people are eating or anything and they never they never explain that. Supposed to be a great famine and all the rest and we showed you that the famine was not really a famine remember yeah we showed you when you calculate it out it doesn’t work. Okay. Now the sixth trumpet comes

Now remember those four angels back there that was told to touch not and hurt not the earth till the martyrs’ quota was reached till the harvest the innumerable company of people was uh brought in to the saints were sealed remember that the four angels you don’t remember you’re just nodding yes you’re remembering it you remembered okay now he comes back to these four angels and said okay guys, we’re ready for you, quota has been reached the harvest yeah we’re ready for you the four angels slay one-third part of men now they can hurt the earth they slay him with a 200 [unclear] horse like a lion with a lion’s head now how many you know that’s not real I mean duh you actually think there’s going to be 200 million horses coming out of the heavens you know with a lion head.

▶ 35:14 And that’s just an illustration so we can understand the vastness of it and the power of it. Okay and they [unclear] these plagues of fire smoke and sulfur to kill one third of the people all right now we just saw that David’s enemies got slain and got defeated by the fire and the smoke and the earthquakes and all that and yet there wasn’t real ones got it. Hallelujah. Now those not killed two-thirds of the people that are left did not repent repent of the worship of devils and the worship of idols nor their murderers their sorcerers their sexual immorality nor their thefts they did not repent so what was the last reason for the

▶ 36:13 delay? One more, yes: for people to repent if you didn’t know Jesus would you want him to give you one more chance yes that’s why he says angels hold off and until I’m done filling the martyr quota, I’m done sealing the saints I’m done with the harvest and I’m done giving people every possible chance to repent with tremendous signs that I do in the earth now ain’t that beautiful yeah let’s give God a hand. Hallelujah see you wanting Jesus to come in any minute and today is very selfish there’s a lot of people that still need what a chance to repent so that’s why there’s a delay. All

▶ 37:09 right. Hallelujah, now the wormwood killed many we got one-third killed here and uh basically we got about less than half of the population left that’s a lot of people dying here and now he’s going to come as a thief I hardly not I mean nobody’s sleeping right now. Then in Revelations 10 we’re almost through done through half of revelations can you believe it in five weeks we got almost half the book. Done another mighty angel came down from heaven clothed with a cloud and a rainbow on his head his face was like the sun and his feet like pillars of fire he had a little book in his hand and he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land and cried with a loud voice as when a lion

▶ 38:12 roars. And when he cried out the seven thunders opened their voices and uttered their voices and he was about to write it down and he says don’t write these things down. So there’s seven things that are going to happen that John didn’t list thank God we need some kind of surprise. Huh but remember when God rose with his thunderings what did he do for David defeated his enemy so are we worried are we worried no we’re sealed man bring it on, bring it on. Got a little book in his hand. Seven thunders are sealed and in verse five and six the angel who I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by him that lives forever and ever who created heaven and and the things that are in it who is that Jesus said it Jesus that.

▶ 39:29 Time if you read the if you read the King James it says time will be no more and King James has very few misguided translations that is my favorite Bible by the way because it is the less problem translated Bible so I always use it when I’m studying when I read I read other versions and it drives me nuts when I go over things that that they distort and you guys better be careful with these NIVs and and some of these bibles that you just think they got some errors in them they and but this one they got it right what he’s really saying is there will be no further delay. Okay what did he say back there at the four angels hold off we got to delay this thing and now he’s saying what no more delay hallelujah no more delay. All, all

▶ 40:28 right. Now verse 7 the seventh trumpet will finish the mystery of God declared by his prophets what is the mystery of God? His church huh somebody say that yeah now is he coming back for a glorious church or a wimpy church the last time I read the book it’s a glorious church an honorable church is he coming back for a church that the gates of hell cannot have any effect on in fact they’re on the defense the gates of hell we’re on the offense man we’re beating them back. Hallelujah, now folks that’s good. The mystery of God will be finished and this mystery of the church people being saved by the blood of the lamb the Gentiles and Jews coming together and a bride prepared for her husband I me you know men don’t marry little

▶ 41:29 girls, you know we like our women to have breast and a bottom, you know, mature. Amen so the church is going to be what very mature. Church now we’re not going to have breast and a bottom, but we’re going to have righteousness peace and joy. We’re going to have wisdom and knowledge are you with me we can stand in adversity. Hallelujah, we are strong. Hallelujah never God gives us natural illustrations so we can understand the spiritual and so you have to use these things. Right.

▶ 42:25 Hallelujah. No further delay the mystery is finished. Eat the little book and prophesy again to many peoples, nations and kings. Even at the last of the last what is God doing in the earth? Having the gospel preached, see, trying to get people to repent right up to the

▶ 42:59 End amen and he didn’t say preach it to a few he said preach it to what? Many peoples, many nations and the governments the kings of nations preach the gospel this something now see they leave this stuff out there is a powerful expression of the word in this last days there’s going to be an expression of the word like it was in the book of acts when Jesus sent forth his disciples and they went everywhere preaching the the word and the Lord confirmed the word with what signs following and so he’s going to demonstrate himself in these last days with signs and judgments and he’s going to have the word being preached right up to the time he comes can I hear an amen and people can repent and they can turn to God right up to the time he comes amen.

▶ 43:59 Hallelujah now that’s powerful. First Thessalonians or 1 Timothy 2:4 God would have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 2 Peter 3:9 God is not willing that any should perish but all would come to repentance now how are they going to repent if they don’t hear Romans says and how are they going to hear if someone doesn’t preach Romans says so the people of God are going to be on earth what preaching this word. Hallelujah now he says in your mouth it’s going to be sweet and your tummy it’s going to be bitter all of us love that repentance God loves you God forgives you message boy that’s sweet in the mouth oh that’s good I don’t have to buy my way into heaven all I got to do is accept Christ confess my sin boy that is good the mercy of God is good that tastes good but boy when that word gets down into the belly and it starts getting digested and you got to be responsible and you got to be

▶ 45:20 disciplined, indigestion, give me some Pepto-Bismol here. Are you there but see until the word gets into the tummy you are you hearing me it isn’t broken down and goes to the body to give it its necessary nourishment so the body can be strong and function and neither can you unless you eat this book you’re not going to get that into into your spiritual man and it gets in and goes out and your your body functions become strong and you live a disciplined life you got to get it down to where it’s bitter you don’t like it but you need it I didn’t like spinach and I didn’t like liver but I needed to eat it my mom put it on a table and I had to eat it and it worked.
