▶ 0:00 In this chapter we’re going to be talking about the power of God’s person. Upon our lives the power the supernatural power of God’s presence upon our lives. And. John 1 we’re going to read there but we’re gonna see that God’s person appeared to man many times in the Bible but no man has seen God’s person God’s person appeared to man but no man has seen God’s person doesn’t make sense unless you know the Bible. Now in John 1 in the beginning was the word the word was with God and the word was God. Don’t you believe that Jehovah witness that twist that around the Bible teaches that Jesus is God.

▶ 1:00 Amen. There’s no mistake here anytime people want to come up with and create their own doctor and they have to twist the scripture to make it work in places because it won’t fit into the uniformly into the scriptures so they come up with some reason to change the wording and that’s what the java witnesses did with this verse. Also all things were made by the word who was God in him the word was life and light that lights all men. The word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us as the only begotten son of the father full of grace and truth so Jesus was God in the flesh is that a good amen Jesus was God in the flesh.

▶ 1:54 Not in the whirlwind in the flesh. Full of grace and truth all born of God that believe on his name and receive him. Accept him into your life too them gave he power. Wow. To them gave he power. Supernatural ability and authority to become sons of God Jesus is the only begotten son of the father we can be sons of God through the power. Given to us by receiving Christ did you guys get that this verse jumped out at me just a year or two after I was saved okay.

▶ 2:50 When we receive Christ we receive power to be transformed change into a son of God. Alright heaven our father’s nature obeying our father’s rules in that powerful and it’s done by his power not mentally not me working up the energy but his power working in my life and these sons of God are going to be like the the son of God full of grace and truth grace is divine enablement here there’s two kinds of grace one is the divine favor of God the other and the divine enablement empowerment see he empowers us to become sons of God full of what grace and truth truth.

▶ 3:47 And then it says no man has seen God at any time but the son has declared the father are shown the way to the father amen. So well how is it that God. Appeared to men many times but no man has seen God’s person. The Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind so we have the whirlwind here. And God talked to Job out of the whirlwind Job did not see God but God was in the whirlwind and talking to Job directly. Adam Eve Cain and Noah all were talked directly to by God Cain as bad as he was God came and talked directly to him we don’t know and we’re not given any form that God took but we know God’s voice spoke to them okay.

▶ 4:53 Abraham Isaac Jacob all three of them the Bible says God revealed himself to them okay and Jacob. God was revealed to and Jacob’s ladder in that dream he had and God was at the top of the ladder. So he it was a dream. Moses. Saw God and a burning bush an angel talked and God talked from that burning bush and the bush was not consumed it was on fire but it wouldn’t burn up okay. Also Moses Israel the Egyptians and the nations around that area saw the cloud.

▶ 5:46 By day and the fire by night here’s this cloud God appeared in a cloud many times that’s why I have the cloud in the background so see God came in a form but did not no one ever seen his actual person all right. Solomon by the way when he built a temple the cloud of God’s glory here’s that cloud and here this is a fire by night in a cloud by day filled the temple of Solomon you see God came and then God spoke to Solomon and he said if my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways then I hear from heaven and heal their land okay and God always comes to speak and this is what us pentecostals and charismatics missed mostly.

▶ 6:51 Was our mistake of turning the presence of God into some emotional. Outbreak with no listening to what he’s saying could that be an amen yeah well the other people made a mistake but not even believing in the Holy Ghost so that’s a bigger problem could that be true. And when God comes folks it’s pretty exciting. You feel that power it’s like sticking your finger in an electric socket you know but he comes to what say something to you. Change you so that’s how now in the New Testament Jesus God spoke from heaven and said this is my beloved son and I am well pleased and all the people heard God okay he just spoke from heaven and that could have been how he spoke to Adam and Eve Cain and nora okay.

▶ 7:55 Peter James and John on the mount of transfiguration saw Jesus changed into his spiritual body that immortal body transformed and so we know what’s going to happen to us when he comes and we’re transformed into that undecaying immortal body all right totally different body body that won’t die but being human like we are. Like born said at the beginning you know we let God down a lot and here the disciples said let’s make three tabernacles one for John one for jane or I mean one for Moses one for Elijah and one for Jesus and then God comes in the cloud God appears in the cloud here comes the cloud here’s these guys. Surrounded by a cloud and God speaks out of the cloud this is my beloved son hear him not Moses not Elijah you hear him.

▶ 8:59 Amen. So in the New Testament God showed up also Saul on the road to damascus saw a bright light. Okay and Jesus was there. The apostles after Jesus rose saw the resurrected Christ said many times. Five hundred saw him at one time and we don’t know if it was five hundred gathered at one place or we don’t know if he just showed up all over the country exposing himself to people can he do either one yes he can he can be at a million places at one time a trillion places at one time he is God amen but see we we think with our human mind a lot and we restrict God you got to think with your spiritual mind so.

▶ 9:56 This is how God can come to us and reveal himself to us in his person and we not see him at all no man has seen God at any time I’ll take the whirlwind how about you I’ll take the cloud you know Moses went up to the mountain and went into the cloud and God spoke to him and amidst that cloud so the clouds used a lot and this is how God’s person can appear and we not see his person. So. Remember. His person is the power that’s what made the difference when God showed up in person Job repented. His friends changed his relatives changed the markers changed the acquaint everybody got affected when God showed up with his power.

▶ 11:01 In that beautiful. And church this is what we need. God’s showing up with his power I have a picture here I took this picture of this woman with the issue of blood by an artist reaching out to touch the border of Christ and I implanted this picture of this person with the Bible and the power of Christ in you the hope of glory I mean know Christ lives in us yes and God lives in us we are the temple of God God and the Bible together. We are powerful and do not even understand it. But they can touch the Jesus in us and barns.

▶ 11:56 Made it clear this morning they need the Jesus in us we mess up a lot but people don’t need us they need the Jesus in us they need to touch Jesus and we make the mistake of thinking we can win the world we can convince people if we talk enough and if we you know learn more we can convince them to serve God know if they can touch the Jesus in you he could convince them to serve him. You understand that. This is not a natural thing. This is a spiritual thing. And so I love this picture this picture says that we are ignited and we can’t even realize we don’t even think ourselves and that’s why what was shared early on the service you know yes we let God down but we still have Jesus in us and the word in us and people can touch that in spite of us and be changed now as Jesus who is God in a human body not the whirlwind not the fire not the bush not the dream okay.

▶ 13:20 Not an angel but God in a human body. Was teaching number one what was he doing teaching in that what ella who did two Job Elihu taught Job okay and the mole the most thing that Jesus did above everything was teach everywhere he’s teaching teaching teaching teaching he got it. Secondly the Pharisees the scribes the people from every town of Galilee judea and Jerusalem came. Okay the people came these Pharisees scribes Sadducees and herodians. The grecians they were all a sect of the Jewish religion.

▶ 14:15 They were believers in God they were believers in the word of God the scriptures. But they were antichrist. They did not believe Jesus was a messiah in the flesh that’s what the Bible says is antichrist an antichrist is not what these people teach you out there that’s the false prophet and the son of perdition and all that the antichrist is anyone who says Jesus has not come in the flesh the messiah has not come in the flesh they opposed that that’s what the antichrist is and you guys are believing a lot of nonsense out there because you listen to the radio and tv and these people just harp on it all the time but the antichrist is very clear in the Bible and they’re not 1ni Christ there are hot many antichrist cause anybody that doesn’t believe that Jesus was the messiah in the flesh is called in the Bible the antichrist the opponent of Christ because Jesus was the messiah amen.

▶ 15:19 Let it be written and let it be done now. They tested Jesus they came to test Jesus the Bible says to catch him in his words to get him to say something and then arrested questions too so they could getting to say the wrong thing so they weren’t there to learn and they weren’t there to be healed they weren’t there to be changed they were there to debate their doctrine versus his doctrine. And boy do we have a lot of debating going along today. And these guys came up with their own doctrines they added to the word okay. Now. There was somebody else there besides the opponents of Christ and the people come to hear the teaching and to be healed God.

▶ 16:19 Was there also the power of the Lord the almighty God all-powerful God was present to heal them he was there in person to heal these people body soul spirit the Bible says I want your whole body soul and spirit okay. Be preserved blameless until the coming of Jesus Christ he wants to heal your mind he wants to heal your emotions he wants to heal your physical body and he wants to heal your spirit your sins okay.

▶ 16:59 Now. This was done when Jesus was in a house he was inside the house and there were multitudes of people all around the house trying to hear him and touch him and be healed and four people went in God a crippled man and they picked him up by his mat that he laid on and they carried him to this house they could not get through the crowd so they found a way to get on the roof and they opened an opening in the roof they took the roof off and they led now they they went to a lot of effort to get this they let Jesus down they had to tie those four corners of that bedroll and they let Jesus down right in front of I mean the down right in front of Jesus.

▶ 17:54 Now. The first thing that Jesus healed was their doctrine. He taught them do you understand that do we narrow our doctrines healed and you better believe it America is loaded with crazy doctrines. See the first thing he healed was a doctrine the second thing he healed was the sin he looked at the crippled man and he says your sins are forgiven you I. Deliver you from your sins I cleanse you from me ascend I forgive you of your sin that’s the second thing Christ healed but his opponents the Pharisees the scribes the Sadducees and them they go ah. That’s wrong publicly they’re saying publicly that God in the flesh is wrong you know how how religious can you be.

▶ 18:57 Only God can forgive sin well. Jesus was God in the flesh and God was talking from that fleshly body of Jesus like he talked from the whirlwind he talked from the fire he talked in a burning bush he taught from the body of Christ God himself God can forgive sin amen. But when you’re wanting to attack you know you just say dumb things. So Jesus said to them which is easier fellows.

▶ 19:36 For me to say your sins are forgiven or for me to heal this which is easier they both take supernatural power you can’t do it you can’t forget now here and say this but the implication is that you can’t forgive sin and you can’t heal which is easier it takes the same power to do either one and what do we need more than physical healing our sins healed our spiritual man healed so we can live for eternity in heaven amen now to live so he had him and then he turns to the crippling says so that you know he so that you guys know that the son of man has power on earth to forgive sin crippled man rise up take your bed and walk and that man rose up took up his bed and walked oh yeah.

▶ 20:37 And if you think there isn’t no expression to Jesus when he comes there is this guy walked and when God told him to walk he didn’t to walk can you just see him like the guy in in acts where he was walking and leaping and praising God he hadn’t walked in 40 years and he man he’s he’s excited whoa yeah. You know there is emotion in God. Now. First he healed their doctrine say it with me first he healed their doctrine. Secondly he healed their sins. Thirdly he healed the body.

▶ 21:21 And that includes the mind emotions and the will of the desires he’s that powerful hello there now let’s look at another one in Luke 6:19 a great multitude from all judea and Jerusalem tyre and sidon came to hear Jesus hear his teaching first he heals our doctor and Jesus is God in the flesh again not the whirlwind not the fire not the cloud not a dream he’s God in the flesh talking and these people came to be healed of their diseases and those vex with unclean spirits were healed the whole multitude sought to touch him for power went out of him and healed them all now tyre and sidon was at coast cities and people from all over that area lived and were traveling through these cities and so.

▶ 22:25 Unbelievers Gentiles were coming to hear Jesus that’s the point and and several times the Gentiles come to hear Jesus and Jesus remember said I have not come but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel but they came to him he might not have went to them but had they came to him and that’s pretty sad when unbelievers out there will come to Christ and us believers will let him pass right by us did you catch that don’t let the unbeliever steal your powerful touch with God all right now. When they touched him. The power went out of him that makes the difference oh we can pray for the sick and we can you know lay hands on and we can anoint with oil we can do all this stuff but folks nothing is going to happen if the power of God does not touch them.

▶ 23:29 And we’re supposed to pray one for another we’re supposed to do that but folks we’ve got to get back to realizing that it’s God’s power that’s going to heal the doctrines. Amen it’s God’s power that’s going to heal sin not seven step procedures twelve step procedures psychology not God’s power back there they had no 12 steps seven steps three steps there was one step Jesus path. Are you there. Now this is a powerful message. If they can touch Jesus and touch Jesus in us as as lousy as you feel about yourself as insignificant as you see yourself in God if people can touch Jesus in you and that word in you that word and Jesus can talk change them in spite of you and it better be in spite of us because we we mess it up a lot don’t that was well said this one we just goof up a lot we don’t say it right or we said in a bad attitude or whatever but if they can touch the power of Jesus that’s in us that we don’t even.

▶ 24:53 Recognize it can change their life and Jesus can take your jumbled up speaking and not clear speaking and he can make it clear to people and touch them I’ve seen it many a times in my own life I didn’t I couldn’t say it right I couldn’t get everything in you know articulated just perfectly but God took my words and he turned it around and hid their heart with it and it was clear to them. Amen. Hallelujah. Now he healed them all now folks we got thousands of people here I mean thousands and he healed them all now today in a benny hinn and all these guys they bring them up one by one and they go through the grade you know ritual and shaka mullah and all of this how many know you’re not gonna heal five thousand people in one day going through that.

▶ 25:59 Do you ever think of it that way there’s no way and these people had to touch Jesus so you got thousands of people pressing to touch Jesus. Jesus wasn’t touching anybody they were what touching him so this person they gave in oh oh they went off rejoicing and enough that that left they could space for the next one to push their way in and touch it whoa yeah. You ever think of it that way the power of his presence. He healed them all five times in the Bible it says he healed a mom one of most of the apostles he healed they healed them all just the shadow of Peter was healing people it’s just extraordinary it’s just amazing and it’s.

▶ 27:02 Sad that we replace the power of God with religion. It is sad. So let’s go to Luke 8:43 here’s my lady. This woman had an issue of blood for 12 years. Spend all of her living on physicians they took her money no results and let me tell you that’s what a lot of what a lot of what these healing ministries are doing today they’re takin people’s money and people aren’t being healed because the power of God is not there to heal. But they take their money. Just think on that.

▶ 28:04 She came behind Jesus God in human form. Touch the border of his garment so she had to be on the ground for those of you don’t like the neal you got a problem. The borders down here not up here. She got down on her knees bowed herself before Christ reached out and touched the hem of his garment didn’t ask for laying on of hands and no theatrics she just touched him and zapped. She got healed immediately instantly. Okay instantly healed and all these doctors knew that this woman was healed because they couldn’t heal her people are always looking for you got the doctor thing you know my mom had a doctor’s verification as she was healed of cancer I had a doctor’s verification I was healed of valley fever and my atheist brother still wouldn’t believe after 4 years saying well go to see the evidence you gotta have a doctor’s verification well we had it the doctor said it this is a miracle.

▶ 29:21 When you don’t want to serve Christ you’re not gonna serve him you just you’re gonna be like the Sadducees in affair you’re just there to pick at it just to put it down you’re not there to gain Christ and grain doctrine and change are you with me and remember these guys were watching these people being healed and a crippled man you can’t fake it these crippled people and me these main people the fingers were growing on hands were growing on you can’t fake that. So Jesus immediately her issue of blood stop Jesus declared someone touch me and his apostles go a Lord everybody’s touching you what do you mean somebody touched you the crowds all around you he said oh no no no somebody touch me because power has gone out from me and then the woman meekly comes back and says it was me.

▶ 30:29 Hello there. You see you got a touch Christ with the right attitude with an honest heart. He’s not interested in your flattery he’s interested in your genuine heart. Powerful now Job’s tragedy the best I can figure out was less than a year. This woman is tragedy but Job’s was more severe I mean he got hit in four areas bow. This woman’s tragedy lasted 12 years some other ones lasted 40 years born crippled born blind. They carried that crisis in their life a long time.

▶ 31:26 But when they came to Jesus Jesus changed their crisis. So what is the greatest faith. And Luke 7:2 a centurion servant was sick and dying. When he heard of Jesus. Day and how did he hear Jesus people talking. Don’t ever leave Jesus in the cross when you’re talking with people people in a crisis they need Jesus and the cross all right don’t let him get you often it was the world created in six days it was a double evolution and you know was they stick with Jesus he’s the one that can help them and that cross can cleanse them and forgive him the power that cross is what they need to hit all right.

▶ 32:24 So he heard of Jesus now he sent Jewish elders to ask Jesus to heal his servant now folks this is amazing the Jewish elders of the Sanhedrin the leaders of the Jewish group and they. Oppose Christ they didn’t believe Christ was the messiah Jesus was the Christ are you there but this centurion God Christ opponents to go ask Jesus to heal the servant and this is why this centurion had built a sin of God and and he gave freedom to the Jews so these opponents of Christ’s Jewish leaders that’s it they were obligated you know he’s done all this for us okay you want Jesus to come and you know that they don’t even believe in and so they go to Jesus and said hey the centurion over here he’s built a synagogue and he’s really helped the Jews a lot but religious freedom and he’s worthy and he wants you to come and heal his servant and Jesus said okay I’ll come well they went back with the message and told the centurion he’s coming the centurion took his soldier a messenger and went back to Jesus and said Lord don’t come to my house I’m not worthy for you to come to my house you just speak the word and my servant will be healed.

▶ 33:58 No laying on of hands no theatrics no mud in the eye no worse in the pool of bethesda no [unclear] no nothing no fallen in the spirit you just speak the word. And my servant will be healed so now we know how multitudes could be healed in one day every one of them he just spoke the word father healed them back. Hell illya do we need that in our generation yeah. Christ is the same yesterday today and forever.

▶ 34:41 Just speak don’t come and Jesus said I have not found greater faith in all Israel you know we can’t hung up on anointing with oil and laying on of hands and didn’t doing all these stuff and we forget that it is the power of God the presence of his power that’s going to save souls heal minds he’ll emotions and he’ll bodies and he’ll doctor it’s the power of God and this is what we’ve learned in Job nothing changed until God showed up and when God showed up everybody changed Satan lost out big time Satan didn’t realize that God was going to use this incident to bring jobs relatives in his acquaintances then people that knew him his markers in his ridicule errs in God was gonna use it to bring all in.

▶ 35:42 Folks that’s exciting. And why do we worship God because he inhabits the praises of his people we want his presence to come and talk to us and touch us heal our doctor and he’ll our sins he’ll our diseases we one his presence to come why do we seek him in prayer and seek him in the word because we want his presence to come and perform what we can’t perform. Will you touch God’s power. Will you let him heal your doctrines your sins your mind your will your emotions and your body. Will you exercise these five steps saying God is almighty there is nothing impossible for him to do he what he knows is right and he has the power to perform his promises you say that with your mouth he has the power and you admit your mistakes in your errors that’s why confession and repentance is just a continual thing in our life we’re always.

▶ 36:55 Changing yeah yeah we especially our mouth we say things exactly. But you see that brought repentance brought Job’s restoration. The sea was spiritual eyes how many want tired of looking at it from your natural mind you want to start seeing from your spiritual mind yeah. That made all the difference in the world in my life that baptism of the Holy Ghost back there two weeks after I got saved just revolutionized my life now what I mean by that it drove me into the word it drove me to seek God and slowly he changed my doctor and he changed things in my life it wasn’t a snap of a finger because if I told you it was a snap of a finger all these people know me for years they’re gonna know I’m lying it is a process amen.

▶ 37:49 And repent turn from those things that you admit you’re wrong and pray for your enemies especially yourself if you got resentment against people that’s mistreated you hurt you pray for them and pray until it’s genuine I. Learned as a young Christian just to forgive them before it happens the Bible says offenses are going to come there they’re going to do things to you you don’t like so I just got an attitude of forgiveness and when it happened bang I didn’t have a problem with.
