From the sermonThe Peace of God Surpasses All Understanding 11/17/2019 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer teaches that God’s promise of success includes peace that surpasses understanding. Jesus promised trouble but peace in Him. Job, Daniel’s friends, Joseph, David and the priest who hid Joash had that peace. Much harm is self-inflicted, but in Christ we are more than conquerors.

The sufferings of this present time what time present time so when are you gonna suffer now a hundred years ago would have been your present time a thousand years ago would have been your present time if you lived it okay. The sufferings of this present time aren’t worthy to be compared with the glory the honor which shall be revealed in us.

▶ 0:55 So when the prophet said and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together not only did God reveal his glory through Jesus Christ but he’s revealing his glory through his people a man so we got something powerful to attain to and possess now we’re gonna go to John 16:33 and me. You will have peace in. The world you will have tribulation troubles problems. Be of good cheer be happy. Alleluia I. Have overcome the world now look at this carefully up here he said in this present time we’re gonna have pains we’re gonna have sufferings.

▶ Watch this part (1:54)

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:54 Here he says you’re gonna have troubles tribulation problems. Persecution. But in me you will have peace. Relax. Be happy. Because I’ve overcome the world so you’re gonna have peace in me during the tribulation. Are you there. Everybody’s wanting us raptured out before the tribulation and God is telling us be happy live through this you’re gonna be totally at peace even in your daily tribulation let alone the tribulation at the end time went before Jesus return. Is that a life is good yes in the midst of the problems life is good because we have this supernatural peace.

Did Job have peace?

▶ Watch this part (2:54)

Short answer: He lost family, wealth and health, yet kept his peace with God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:54 Through Jesus Christ now. Did it work well. Job. He lost his family his children he lost his possessions his wealth his investments he lost his health. Almost all in one day and yet he had such peace that he said the Lord giveth the Lord taketh away blessed be the name of the Lord he didn’t lose it he didn’t call a hotline and I. He had that peace of God are you with me hallelujah even his wife wanted him to just curse God and die get out and you know just get it over with all right and then Daniel did Daniel go to sleep in the lion’s den now how many of you could go to sleep in the lion’s den.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD.”

— Job 1:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:54

Did Daniel’s friends have peace?

▶ Watch this part (3:54)

Short answer: Yes. They told the king, our God is able to deliver us, but if not we will not serve your gods.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:54 Did Daniel have this peace absolutely did his three friends Shadrach Meshach and Abednego when they were told to worship the idol they said king let it be known to you God would deliver us and if he doesn’t deliver us we just want you to know when serving your idol. These guys had perfect taste and they were thrown into the fiery furnace and God did delivered just like they told the king are you with me alleluia so there is people who experience this Joseph was rejected by his brothers. His own brothers sold into slavery to potiphar potiphar’s wife falsely accused him of sexual abuse he was put in prison and all this time he’s not complaining.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Daniel 3:17-18 (NKJV)

— Daniel 3:17-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:54

How did Joseph show peace?

▶ Watch this part (4:53)

Short answer: Not questioning, complaining or attacking; he was made second in command of Egypt and forgave his brothers.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:53 You know anybody like that today. He’s not questioning he’s not complaining he’s not attacking and then he was made the second-in-command of Egypt his brothers come down and what did he say to his brothers you meant it for harm but God made it for good he had no hatred for his brothers who mistreated him could the church use a great dose of that today see this piece this piece that God offers us did happen people had it back there okay Peter when he was thrown in jail and his hip was going to be cut off the next day the angels came to his prison doors and what did they find Peter doing sleeping perfect peace how many Christians do you know that know God enough today that would have that kind of peace we’re not taught it so we haven’t caught it but there are promises of God that are here for us could that be an amen how many would like that kind of peace yeah you’d be an idiot not to raise your hand and say yeah I could use that and it’s it’s promised to us when in this life.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Genesis 50:20 (NKJV)

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

— Genesis 50:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:53

Is peace worth more than wealth?

▶ Watch this part (6:20)

Short answer: Yes. Peace is a much higher value than wealth.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:20 You know we’re wanting to be wealthy in this life well I think peace is a much higher value than wealth what do you think yes amen give God a clap offering yeah. How many people can be at peace when troubles and tribulations and problems come not very many and yet God promises it so he’s got to fulfill it there has to be a move of God church to fulfill these things he can’t come today there’s a lot of things that’s got to be fulfilled now. Is this historically true in the world you will have peace in tribulation and suffering is this historically true can we go back in the Bible and see if this is a fact now before we do there are five Bible sources of tribulations and suffering Satan is one Satan directly attacked David and Joel Satan’s followers well they’re the one to really do the damage and our friends and our relatives and all that that aren’t following God they can really cause us a lot of problems your own family the day is coming the Bible says when a man’s enemies shall be those of his walk on household his own family and in.

▶ 7:43 America we try to psychologically hold our family together instead of realizing there’s a fulfillment of Bible scriptures here are you there and then you got an accident an accident is this simple I’ve told you before it’s the best illustration on I’m sorry an accident is the Bible says in Proverbs they that use the axe can be hurt by the ends they the dig a ditch can fall into it an accident happens there’s a difference between an accident and self-inflicted.

Is all harm from Satan?

▶ Watch this part (8:22)

Short answer: No. A lot of harm is self-inflicted: you made a choice that caused it, and we blame others when it’s ourselves.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:22 Self-inflicted is when you make a choice that caused his harm in third world countries when I went down there to mission to preach decades ago America was good at giving them cars all used cars and tractors and all that but these people did not understand some basic science like centrifugal force they would take these cars and go around the curb and they didn’t slow down and they would go right off on the cliff and while I was down there in salvador a truck right in front of me we run around the curve too fast tips right over and when I got out and I looked over there there was all kinds of cars down there and I go what’s going on he said these people don’t understand you got to slow down to around a curve.

▶ 9:17 Is he a 1 Satan it wasn’t Satan’s followers it’s you got you caused the problem. Amen. And a lot of things we blame people on when it’s who our self causing the problems about our poor choices so there those are the five sources now let’s go back through history and see if this is true can’t go any further back than Adam and Eve all right. Satan tempted Eve here you go Satan and the serpent talked to eat now the serpent had to be some kind of majestic animal and the Bible describes it as such that number one he can talk I mean folks when you’re talking to animals people are gonna look at you you know I mean you know something wrong I hear you’re missing some marbles but this animal could talk and it didn’t even surprise Eve that this serpent could talk.

▶ 10:23 All right you remember the serpent didn’t crawl on its belly till after. He got that. Yeah there’s no indication this serpent had to had to crawl on its belly before but now after this he crawled on its belly so here’s Eve talking to a snake all right and Satan is talking through the snake the Bible plainly says that I mean you know that yeah I’ve also plainly says the Satan was in the snake and so he just simply says you won’t die if you eat of the fruit of into the knowledge of good and evil you won’t die you’ll be like God whoo. Now let me just pause for a moment go over here to my sons of perdition folks.

▶ 11:18 Antichrist folks and the false prophet folks. Okay they say the false prophet the son of perdition and the antichrist are all one men. Nowhere in the Bible does it say the false prophet is the son of perdition nowhere in the Bible does it say the antichrist is the son of perdition we have to humanely connect it. Just giving you something to think on giving you answers for people out there now. What is Satan telling Eve you’re gonna be like God knowing good and evil what was the son of perdition problem he in the house of God placed himself as God. Are you that same statement in it yeah how many know where the temple of God and when we.

Did Satan force Eve?

▶ Watch this part (12:21)

Short answer: No. Satan did not possess or force her; she decided things above God and offered it to Adam, and they were punished.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:21 Decide things above God we are placing ourselves as what God. So this is all Satan said Satan did not possess her Satan did not force her he did not twist her arm he didn’t in no way take her captive and make her eat that apple shove it in her mouth or anything he just simply said you won’t die and if you eat it you’re gonna be like God knowing good and evil that’s all it that’s all it was and Satan can’t possess you and and make you do anything all he can do is suggest to you and ii fell for the suggestion okay she chose now it becomes a self-inflicted problem. Satan didn’t make her anything she chose to be like God.

▶ 13:19 Are you with me. Now. She goes to her husband and she offers it to her husband well she’s not dead yet. So that blockhead. Takes it and eaten to know he made a choice and he followed Eve and that’s how a lot of Christians get in trouble following the wrong people are you with me they just follow the crowd to believe what they want to believe and do what they want to do and this is what Adam did she hadn’t died yet nothing had happened and so he ate to be like God. Self-inflicted and I so many Christians that they blame Satan or blame somebody else when a lot of their problems and their afflictions and their troubles is their own choice to do wrong now.

▶ 14:28 God comes along and punishes them. They worked before in the garden of eden now they’re kicked out and now they got to work harder. To eat the ground don’t produce now they got to plow the ground they got a soda see they got to work they got to get the rocks out of the field I mean you know yeah I mean in the garden of eden they just pluck the fruit off and all they had to go harvest their food but basically in the garden of eden it just grew are you there. Now. Eve before this could have children without child birth pains. Now. God changed the system in a woman we don’t know what the system was before but we sure know what the system is now.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Genesis 3:6 (NKJV)

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

— Genesis 3:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:21
Scripture (NKJV)

Genesis 3:17-19 (NKJV)

Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”

— Genesis 3:17-19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:28

Do we reap what we sow?

▶ Watch this part (15:25)

Short answer: Yes. If you sow to evil you reap harm.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 15:25 And it’s very painful to have children now okay the bottom line is what you reap you’re going to so if you’re going to sew to evil you’re gonna reap harm if you’re gonna sew good you’re going to reap good amen. Now. So their son Cain killed their son Abel. Angry came with angry kids came with sinning violating God’s word and Cain offered vegetables under God and people think that that is the wrong offering. When you go to Moses’s tabernacle and you understand the offerings and wheat and barley and all these things were accepted as an offering you know right hip problem was he offered with sin and anger and hatred in his heart that’s why he was rejected have you know a lot of Christians today can come in and wake and worship and sing along and they’re offering a praise isn’t acceptable because of their choices and now right.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Galatians 6:7-8 (NKJV)

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

— Galatians 6:7-8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:25

Were Adam and Eve forgiven?

▶ Watch this part (16:41)

Short answer: He believes so: God killed the first animal and clothed them with skins and prophesied Jesus would come.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:41 Adam and Eve were forgiven God killed the first land clothe them with the skin gave a prophecy that Jesus would come and die for the sins of the world and I believe were forgiven and you never hear a mention of Adam and Eve sinning again do you yeah they were forgiven. Having a glad for that see historically this this forgiveness has been since the beginning the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sin all right and Adam and Eve took it and they went on and they lived in this troubled times the troubles continued. They continued murdering and doing bad things till we get to Noah the earth was filled with what violence.

▶ 17:34 And sexual immorality and remember the Bible says God will visit the sins of the father on the third and the fourth generation but you got to remember also the Bible says that this son is not accountable for the father sins and the father isn’t accountable for the sons sin so the understanding of all that is this they made a mistake here and ate the tree of knowledge of good and evil now they open the door for others to follow and thus ended that doesn’t just continue to the third and fourth generation it went to the ninth generation the earth was filled with violence and God stepped in. And he’s going to destroy the earth but Noah had perfect peace because Noah found what grace in the eyes of the Lord see there’s people out there that believe we’re in the dispensation of grace Noah had grace yeah they want to put everything in a little timeframe you know Noah had grace David had grace grace was back there in the Old Testament folks are you with me.

▶ 18:53 We we get and when you hear the message enough you just believe it you don’t search it out and try to find out what’s going on you will that’s a tenth time I heard it must be true. I think the hair it’s God the same yesterday today and forever was his grace working from Adam all the way to our present time absolutely. God is a gracious God can I hear an amen now though he will favor you he will be kind to you in any time area you live in so. Noah found grace and he had to build an ark here we are you got to do work and gotta go through the trouble building this ark and how four men built this ark is beyond my logical brain except they were given supernatural ability I mean this is a big boat folks and you’re talking about four people you know they got a cut wood they got a saw wood they got a plain wood I mean come on there has to be a supernatural intervention here and no one had ever seen a boat before because it never rained before.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Genesis 3:15 (NKJV)

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

— Genesis 3:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:41
Scripture (NKJV)

Genesis 3:21 (NKJV)

Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.

— Genesis 3:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:41

How did people treat Noah?

▶ Watch this part (20:06)

Short answer: They thought he was nuts building a boat for a flood they’d never seen.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 20:06 Now so the people thought they were nuts what do you were doing a boat for what do you mean it’s gonna float what do you mean a flood they’ve never seen a flood they’ve never seen rain nothing and no was preaching to these people for a hundred years and never got one convert. Except maybe his sons wives. They married into the family and they got to get on the boat just like Ezekiel you know that God told Ezekiel want you to go preach this message to Israel and they’re not going to listen to you well. Thanks father they’re real thanks God this is great I’m going to preach and I’m gonna see no result I’m you know the American church thrives on results yes. We don’t see results and yet Ezekiel was sent to a people that God told him they’re not gonna listen to you in fact they persecuted him and you know everything else and I’ve.

▶ 21:04 Said when I read this back there is a young Christian I said God don’t give me that ministry I myself like result I want to see people say let me know a lot of people aren’t gonna respond. So. Noah had his violence all around him sexual abuse all around him does it sound like America today I mean sexual abuse is. Glorified today. One of our political Paul at parties just glorify sin you know they got no problem they don’t want to punish anybody hardly you know right and we give in the transgender whoever thought when the Bible said and then the last days perlis times would come that we would be seeing what we seen I know not no one predicted it bill and I was back there growing up in the church they didn’t say the homosexuals would have rule in America they didn’t say that people are going to change their sex and and have sex helm and sex d and sexy and you know everybody’s got their own I mean who would ever.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Hebrews 11:7 (NKJV)

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

— Hebrews 11:7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:06

How has America’s morality changed?

▶ Watch this part (22:19)

Short answer: He says it has degenerated to churches accepting homosexual ministers living in sin openly.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 22:19 Envision our standard of morality in America degenerating to this point even where churches accept homosexual ministers homosexual people living in sin openly. Forty fifty years ago when I got saved back there that would never even come into our mind. So what else is we gonna dj down to and Christians accepting it is just beyond my cranial understanding. Well that’s not totally true because I know if they know God they wouldn’t do it I mean other the difference in believing in Jesus asking him to forgive your sins and having eternal life were you know God as a big different this is eternal life that you may know the only true God and his son Jesus and then the Bible says this is how you know you know God if you keep his commandment people that really know God and not just said the sinner’s prayer will not fall for this stuff amen they’re gonna stick with God’s commandments.

▶ 23:31 No so we come to [unclear] and we already talked to you about Job. He lost everything health wealth family kids the people joked about him they mocked him and yet he stayed true to God he had that perfect peace he didn’t challenge God or accuse God falsely the Bible says then you got Joseph as we gave you earlier. Abused by his own brother’s his own family members. Sold into slavery mistreated by his own family members sold into slavery totally rejected and yet he never hated them he never responded wrong he kept a good attitude why cuz he had this piece that you could have during tribulation in that beautiful.

Did David have family troubles?

▶ Watch this part (24:36)

Short answer: Yes. His wife left him and his sons conspired to take his throne; we don’t know God, or we’d act differently.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 24:36 Hallelujah. Then you got David David was a divorced man his wife left him. David. Had sons that conspired against him to kill him and take his throne woo. You talk about family problems that’s that serious one they want to kill papa they want his position they want his title they want his wealth. Satan comes and gets David to take a census without the census offering cause death in the Israel cause David to sin and his sons committed incest. His son having a sex with his daughter. Just all kinds of things going on in David’s life.

▶ 25:31 His family members hated one another and and this I don’t understand well I do understand I just told you the answer to that we don’t know God if we knew God we would not hate our brother because John made it very clear if you hate your brother you don’t have the love of God in you at all amen even if your brother mistreat you you’re not allowed to hate them and you don’t want to hate them when you know God you know what I hate them you just want to do what’s right you know you just do what’s right. That’s alaia alaia was a strange mother. Okay. Her son that was on the throne died.

Who was Athaliah?

▶ Watch this part (26:26)

Short answer: A queen who killed her grandchildren to take the throne; the priest hid her grandson in the temple and had peace.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 26:26 She stepped in and killed all of her children. Killed all of her grandchildren. So she could get on the throne now folks if this is an illustration in America today there isn’t one. Mothers and fathers turning against their own kid not just abortion we’re talking about what the world caused dysfunctional families to where the parents only care about themself they don’t do what’s best for the children the children are neglected. Over 1,600 children a year are murdered in America about a parent.

▶ 27:10 Let alone the hundreds of thousands that are physically mentally abused and nourished the nourishment neglected and then physically abused oh 600 thousand a year this is horrible this is the kind of mother ethel iowa she only wanted things for herself these parents today they want to drink they want to party they want to take drugs they want to you know do things out their recreation y’all go to the desert get a 4-wheel get an suv and let’s just live life and the children aren’t raised and the nurture and admonition they’re neglected they’re just in the way. But there’s one guy the priest in the temple of God had his wife go and take Joash.

▶ 28:14 Her grandson and hiding in the temple this guy had peace he didn’t care what Athaliah was doing he didn’t care about the threat he didn’t care about the violence he took this child and he hid him for six years and folks that’s this is very difficult because you got different priests coming in a different time they were on a schedule they they ministered on a rotating schedule and he kept this kid hidden for six years and then he stepped out and says okay it’s time he took all the weapons in the house of God that the temple guards used armed his followers and they went and they killed ethel ayah. This guy had that piece in the middle of trouble and did the right thing amen.

▶ 29:09 Do you know anyone today that has that kind of peace with God and yet it’s promised. The apostles both the apostles and the believers were abused killed by both the Jews and the Romans. They had a tough time back there they had to live in catacombs in room to survive roman to survive and so forth and then you got the believers inside the church inside the church they’re committing sexual and morality Paul talks about it all the time homosexuality incest and adultery going on they were still worse tripping idols. Extortion was going on people who are using the position to get others to do what they wanted him to do this is inside the church and agreed.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Kings 11:1-3 (NKJV)

When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal heirs. But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being murdered; and they hid him and his nurse in the bedroom, from Athaliah, so that he was not killed. So he was hidden with her in the house of the LORD for six years, while Athaliah reigned over the land.

Did the early church have problems?

▶ Watch this part (30:12)

Short answer: Yes. Corinthians got drunk at the Lord’s table and divided over Peter, Apollos and Paul, as we do over denominations.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 30:12 Intoxication they were so into intoxication that they were getting drunk at the taken the lord’s communion table. 1st Corinthians chapter 11 read it they were coming in there to get drunk on the lord’s communion a body and blood of Christ yeah give it to me yeah. This is inside the church. How many know for the rest of the Christians they got to put up with this stuff I mean like that that’s that’s problems you go to church and people getting drunk on the communion table and and people sitting beside your having incest with their mom and mom having incest with the son and all this stuff and you got kids there with you and everything how many you know that that creates problems you don’t want your kids influenced by that stuff am I right yeah.

▶ 31:07 They were divided I’m a Peter I’m of Apollos I’m of the Paul on this. Don’t we have that today yeah. And I’m a pentecostal I’m a baptism a catholic no i’ma do some of that and Paul said don’t eat with them if they say they’re a brother and they’re doing these things don’t eat with him you can eat with sinners that are doing this but you can’t eat with people that say I’m a believer because you will be enabling their very act. Are you there. Alleluia. So we find it as true it is historically true and today is this thing going on yeah.

What is the peace that surpasses understanding?

▶ Watch this part (32:01)

Short answer: In Christ we are more than conquerors; His peace guards your heart in problems in a way nobody can explain.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 32:01 Now. In Romans 8:39 it says in Christ we are more than conquerors and that what it’s saying up here we are more than conquerors over comers in what this life. Nothing shall separate us from the love of God. Death life angels rulers things present things to come who cares what’s going to happen at the end time nothing can separate me from the love of Christ I can have this peace during problem during tribulation during suffering and I can have joy because of that peace. Amen. God promises that kind of success in life and what is the prosperity gospel teaching you that if you’re rich you’re spiritually successful but how many of you see here that this kind of riches is much better to have this kind of peace.

▶ 33:08 During problems [unclear] during pain that you can be happy and cheerful because Christ gives you peace hallelujah. Whether it’s your son your daughter your parents your other relatives whether it’s just people of Satan or Satan himself attacking you you. Can have peace that passes understanding. And so we see the fulfillment in me you should have peace in me you should have peace no matter what’s happening in this present life you peace means the absence of conflict the absence of war the absence of struggle.
