On Christmas Eve, Pastor David G. Kincer teaches from Mark 16 that Jesus sent believers to preach the gospel, not apologetics, and that signs follow believers who share it. He explains casting out devils by the Spirit of God, tells how the Holy Ghost corrected his own early theatrics, contrasts the Spirit with the apostles and in them, and closes with the power of the Lord present to heal.

What did Jesus send us to do?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: Mark 16:15: go preach the gospel to every creature. Supernatural means above natural laws and human ability. Jesus never used apologetics.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:00 As I said we’re gonna be looking into the Holy Spirit’s supernatural power supernatural means it’s above natural physical laws it’s above human abilities it’s supernatural things that humans cannot do things of physical science cannot do physical laws cannot do and we go here to Mark 16:15. remind you Jesus said go preach the gospel to every creature in the world now. When you go through the scriptures Jesus never defended the scriptures he never used apologetics okay. He used the gospel for instance when they came to Jesus and said by what authority do you cast out demons and heal the sick and Jesus.

How did Jesus answer his critics?

▶ Watch this part (1:03)

Short answer: With questions and one-liners—about John’s baptism, and to the woman’s accusers: “let him cast the first stone.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:03 Instead of going through a long dialogue of well back in Genesis and over here and Deuteronomy and over here and [unclear] over here in Isaiah. He didn’t do that at all he said to them by what authority did John the Baptist preach the gospel was it of men or was it of God and they thought within themselves and said if we say of men the people are going to stone us because they like John the Baptist and they’ve repented and they’ve responded to his teaching and if we say it was given of God [unclear] he’s going to say why didn’t you believe him and so they said we can’t answer and Jesus said neither do I answer you by what authority I do it you see how Jesus did things but the biggest one and the best one is the woman caught in adultery set up in adultery caught in the act of adultery and they bring her to Jesus and they tell Jesus this woman was caught in the act of adultery the law says she should be stoned what say you Jesus didn’t go in to a big long exhortation on grace and forgiveness and all this stuff [unclear] higher law he simply mm kept his mouth shut.

▶ 2:33 Knelt down and wrote something up on the ground all right and then he stood up and they kept saying what do you say are we going to stone her or not are you going to follow the scriptures or not. He never went into and then he gives a one-liner a one-liner. He that is without sin among you without sin let him cast the first stone that’s it that’s all he said there was no big discussion and then one by one they went out dropped their stones and left their conscience convicting them you see they had done things that deserve stoning too. [unclear].

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 21:24-27 (NKJV)

But Jesus answered and said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things: The baptism of John—where was it from? From heaven or from men?” And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the multitude, for all count John as a prophet.” So they answered Jesus and said, “We do not know.” And He said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

What is the gospel?

▶ Watch this part (3:30)

Short answer: Jesus Christ promised from Genesis to Malachi, conceived of the Holy Ghost, crucified, risen, ascended and coming again; repent and he forgives; and receive the Holy Ghost—one package.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:30 no apologetics no defending the faith just simple living wisdom. Don’t you want to be there well you can answer people and let the Holy Ghost do the work amen. don’t be so [unclear] on defending your faith and most of us that’s what we are we’re defending our belief not the Bible what we believe the Bible what we think and so he is saying go preach the gospel the gospel is. Jesus Christ was promised to come the messiah the Christ in the Old Testament from Genesis 1 to Malachi Jesus Christ is preached all the way through there called the son of God called the Lord called the king of kings [unclear] everything else alright Jesus was very alive in the Old Testament is that an amen yes and he hadn’t come to earth yet wasn’t even in a physical body yet and then we pick up the Christmas story a virgin.

▶ 4:45 Conceived of the Holy Ghost how was Jesus conceived by the Holy Ghost by the spirit of God this Holy Ghost that people argue about in America they debate about it just blows my mind that we can talk about this Holy Ghost in such diversity of opinions and everybody thinks they’re right instead of just getting it and being empowered by it could that be an amen yeah. it’s a Bible thing and Mary conceived Jesus by the Holy Ghost and folks. Christ is only going to be formed in us by the Holy Ghost [unclear] what Paul says yeah he said I travail in birth again [unclear] till Christ be formed in you and

▶ 5:37 That’s going to be done by the Holy Ghost and so he grew up and [unclear] years of age he started preaching the gospel no one paid any attention to him [unclear] he started preaching the gospel then they hated him or loved him and he preached the gospel of the kingdom he did signs and wonders and miracles and healings and he laid down his life on the cross no one could take it and the people that say that you can’t kill God they don’t even understand the basics of christianity and the basics of the Bible Jesus was God in the flesh and they’re right those of us who have accepted Christ do we have Christ in us yes do we have a physical body that’s going to die yes. Does God come and dwell in us yes do we have a physical body that’s still gonna die yes does the Holy Ghost can he come in us the Bible says he was with them and shall be in them did he come in them yes did they still die yes but did their spirit live on yes hallelujah your spirit keeps living and yes Jesus’s body died but his spirit kept living because you can’t kill the spirit amen the spirits eternal.

▶ 7:03 Hallelujah and see we debate about nonsense because we don’t know him. We don’t just seek him to know him so anyway that’s the gospel see that he told us to preach not apologetics he didn’t go tell them and explain why Jonah could survive in the whale belly but well he didn’t tell them to go and explain how all the animals could be on the ark he said go and what preach this gospel Jesus Christ prophesied to come fulfilled every prophecy. That’s the gospel and he rose and he ascended back into heaven and he’s coming back again and if we repent confess our sins he will forgive us and save us from our sin [unclear] right yeah that’s the gospel and we shall receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost it’s all one package now that’s the gospel he told us to go preach now when you turn on the tv Christians and the radio and get Christian books do they talk about this very often no.

Scripture (NKJV)

Galatians 4:19 (NKJV)

My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,

— Galatians 4:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:34 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What does Mark 16:16 say?

▶ Watch this part (8:16)

Short answer: He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; he that believes not shall be damned. Matthew 1:21: he shall save his people from their sins.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:16 They’re totally off base the world needs to hear the gospel. all that believe and are baptized will be saved they that believe not will be damned they’re gonna burn in the lake of fire forever okay that’s the bottom line believe what the gospel. Not apologetics the gospel and who’s the gospel about Jesus Christ God in the flesh they are baptized why do they get baptized because the gospel says the repent be baptized every one of you isn’t that right John the baptist came with the new message of repentance and water baptism for forgiveness of sin and they are saved why are they saved because they believe the gospel they admitted they were sinners they confess their sin God cleanse them and forgave them of their sin and so they are saved from sin from the lake of fire and from the day of wrath to come you know what the Bible says alright and so Christmas is a great time to be reminded of what this is all about it’s about Jesus God in the flesh now in Matthew 1:21 called his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins save who his people see a lot of people don’t understand

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 16:16 (NKJV)

He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

— Mark 16:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:24 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 1:21 (NKJV)

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”

— Matthew 1:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:33

What is the power of God unto salvation?

▶ Watch this part (9:46)

Short answer: Christ also died for the church, which still needs cleansing. Romans 1:16: the gospel of Christ—not of Muslims, Mormons or a church—is the power of God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:46 that Christ did not die [unclear] for the sinners of the world he also died for the church in Ephesians he says husbands love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her he died for the church why the church still had sinning they still need to be cleansed of sin they still need to get things right they make mistakes and now right and he died for his people so his people may come to Christ and still have some sin and as God works on them and they keep coming to God he keeps forgiving keeps cleansing and keeps growing them up into maturity till they can live without flagrant sin isn’t that beautiful then it says in Romans 1:16 the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation it’s the supernatural ability of God what is the gospel every aspect of the gospel is the power of God that saves us and we.

▶ 10:50 Need also to save us from ourselves save yourself from this perverse and debauchery world [unclear] horrible world you see it’s a lot of times we are our worst enemy it isn’t Satan it isn’t people it’s us you know right yeah and he came to save us. It is the power of God unto salvation so the gospel is the key it’s not the gospel of the Muslims. It’s the gospel of Jesus it’s not the gospel of the Mormons it’s the gospel of Jesus it’s not the gospel of the Catholic church I just met someone not too long ago [unclear] I love the Catholic church and I said sir you should be loving Jesus not your church and you should be following Jesus not your church and is that a good statement absolutely.

Scripture (NKJV)

Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV)

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

— Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:55 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

Romans 1:16 (NKJV)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

— Romans 1:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:35

Who do the signs follow?

▶ Watch this part (11:49)

Short answer: Mark 16:17: believers—not just apostles—who believe the gospel, get baptized and share it. “They are 1/4 believers” if they won’t.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 11:49 Absolutely. God didn’t die on the cross for us to love our church and our church doctrines and bylaws he died for us to love him and follow him [unclear] the gospel according to the Baptist the gospel according to the Pentecostals the gospel according to the Jews that is not the gospel the gospel of Jesus Christ is the gospel that will have power to save people from sin and especially his own people amen so Christians don’t need to give up because they mess up they need to get up and keep letting Jesus make them into his image is that an amen alleluia. These signs shall follow believers and the emphasis is on what believers they believe in this gospel..

▶ 12:48 Didn’t say these signs shall follow apostles or prophets or evangelists. Says these signs will follow believers. What kind of believers do signs follow is that a good question yeah in this chapter it is believers that believe in what the gospel of Jesus Christ they get water baptized so these Christians who say you don’t need to get water baptized God don’t have to do anything for them. You see they are 1/4 believers they’re not full believers they just believe that Jesus died for them they don’t get baptized they don’t love and we know these believers love because Jesus said if you love me you’ll keep my commandments and they did they believed the gospel they repented they confess their sins they accepted Christ into their life they got water baptized and they went to preach the gospel and here is the defining.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 16:17 (NKJV)

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

— Mark 16:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:38 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

When does the Lord confirm the word with signs?

▶ Watch this part (14:06)

Short answer: Mark 16:20: when believers go and preach. He challenges the church to spread the gospel, including on the internet, instead of making excuses.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:06 Section of these believers they’re not silent saints. They don’t just believe the gospel they share that gospel with others and then the last verse says the Lord working with them confirming the word with signs following if they had not went and preached the word the gospel the signs would not have followed. Are you there and so this church has an important high priority. Responsibility to preach this gospel out there which can be done easily on the internet now and we have not done that we have not got the vision yet as a group to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ okay.

▶ 15:08 Am I right yeah. We’re satisfied with keep learning and learning and meeting with Jesus but God says if you want signs and wonders which I will do. Go out there and tell the people my gospel. Hallelujah. We can do it one on one we can do it as a group by sending out mailers or [unclear] we’ve already tested the internet it works it’s cheap and it works and you can focus on a community on the internet just you can focus on that [unclear] and you can give me all the excuses well they won’t open the email no ok ok ok they won’t open a mail or either [unclear] so we just sit here and do nothing because we got all these excuses of why it won’t work.

▶ 16:07 Hallelujah now I just shared the gospel with a Mormon and with a Catholic recently ok it changed the Catholic’s life who was already a believer in Christ I got that established but he’s following wrong doctrines and he became a different man when I explained to him the trinity he goes wow that was so simple I said yes all the things of God are simple don’t depart from the simplicity of Jesus Christ this is not a complicated thing amen alleluia.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 16:20 (NKJV)

And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

— Mark 16:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:27 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Is believing enough?

▶ Watch this part (16:48)

Short answer: No—demons believe and tremble, and confessed Jesus as the Son of God. Everyone is divided over Jesus because he shows which God we serve.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:48 the Mormon rejected Christ. Did they reject Jesus when he preached the gospel yeah what do you get upset about it some are going to reject some are going to accept and some of those that reject may accept later I was one of those I rejected rejected rejected until finally one day God got involved in my life and somebody shared the gospel with me and I responded but thank God for all those people that shared before I got there amen yeah that’s the believers now you got to remember that demons believe the Bible says and they tremble and the demons confess when the demons when Christ cast out demons they said we know you are Jesus the Christ the son of God you see they believed and they knew but were they saved no were they going to heaven no.

▶ 17:51 So believing is not enough is it. Alleluia alleluia. so don’t get so [unclear] in your belief that you don’t go on and follow God is what I’m trying to say did the Jews believe in God when Jesus was on earth absolutely they believed in God. Did they believe in God in the flesh no they rejected him they rejected God in the flesh Jesus [unclear] what are you doing with Jesus you believe in God fine what are you doing with God in the flesh Jesus Christ and that’s the name to use out there by the way because they have messed up the word God and they messed up the word Holy Spirit but everybody is divided over Jesus because Jesus tells us what God we are serving.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

James 2:19 (NKJV)

You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

— James 2:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:29 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What three signs does Mark 16 name?

▶ Watch this part (18:54)

Short answer: Casting out devils, speaking in new tongues and laying hands on the sick. Our job is to obey; God has his timing for backing it up.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 18:54 The God of the Old Testament that God in the flesh and they don’t like that they want to create their own gods and say it’s all this God but the Bible plainly says Jesus makes the difference God in the flesh who was born of a virgin and died on the cross rose again and coming again that makes the difference and they hate the people that believe that and preach that so keep using the name of Jesus. But don’t forget God and don’t forget the Holy Spirit amen. Now. In my name they will what cast out devils speak in new tongues. Lay hands on the sick and they will be healed they will recover right three supernatural things and you can’t cast out demons by.

▶ 19:57 The knowledge of physical science they don’t even believe in demons. And now right you’re not going to speak in a new language. [unclear] spontaneously in physical science you got to go to university you got to learn it you know right see and you can lay hands all day on someone you couldn’t even use the name of Jesus and lay hands on all day on someone but if you are not a believer. Nothing’s going to happen and even you are a believer if it isn’t God’s time it’s not going to happen I had to learn that as a young Christian. And I pray for a lot of people and they weren’t getting healed at all but that does that mean it doesn’t work no our job is to do what he said and now right his job is to back it up and he has a timing for everything and a purpose and I had to learn that as a young Christian [unclear] they weren’t teaching this stuff when I was a young Christian I had a lot of fog to get through you know you can’t see good in the fog can you and the fog is the people’s doctrines and ideas that clog up the pathway to truth.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

— Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:36 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

By what did Jesus cast out devils?

▶ Watch this part (21:21)

Short answer: Matthew 12:28: by the Spirit of God. His first attempt, imitating others’ theatrics, was corrected by the Holy Ghost: “what in the world do you call that?”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:21 So. Let’s shine a little light on casting out devils speaking in tongues and laying hands on the sick as it refers to the supernatural power of the Holy Ghost in Matthew 12:28 Jesus said if I cast out devils by the what by the what spirit of God whoa and he is God in the flesh and he cast out devils by the spirit of God by the power of the Holy Ghost. He says the kingdom of God has come to you. So I need to know more than just a scripture that we can cast out demons and I had to learn this the hard way I learned a lot of things the hard way my first encounter is the pastor of the church had left to go preach in another church left me in charge of the service on Sunday night and at the end of the service we had a normal altar call people came forward to touch God get [unclear] all this stuff and one guy.

▶ 22:28 Started acting like he had a demon and you know they called me over and I went over there and I did everything I saw the other ministers do all the theatrics I had him down are you there and that we had a lot of theatrics back there. Okay. Finally this guy settled down and everybody was hallelujah praise God and I was looked at like the great men of God literally. Went home got up the next morning go through my Bible reading in prayer and the Holy Ghost shows up and says what in the world do you call that that happened last night and I knew by now just to keep my mouth shut.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 12:28 (NKJV)

But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.

— Matthew 12:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:34

What did he learn from that night?

▶ Watch this part (23:26)

Short answer: He was corrected by scripture and by a Bible study, learned to discern whether someone really had a demon, and says there is no ritual—demons come out by the Holy Ghost.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:26 and he went down the whole rigmarole you asked what [unclear] name was demons don’t have names. Well. Jesus asked the demon you know what his name was no he didn’t ask the demon he asked the guy what his name was and the demons who responded. The demons don’t have names show me you know look in the scriptures where the demons have names. and where [unclear] demons afraid to call Jesus Christ the son of God show me and this is where I found out that the demons did call him Christ the son of God wow but in [unclear] if you had a demon that demon couldn’t use the name of Jesus couldn’t call him Lord and all this so they would use that okay say Jesus is Lord or [unclear] and [unclear] and I fell into the trap the Holy Ghost was embarrassing me big-time.

▶ 24:28 And I had to keep searching the scriptures then the Wednesday night Bible study came. Pastor Rory led the Wednesday night Bible study he’s a good Bible teacher and I was always late because I didn’t get off till 6 o’clock and I go home shower [unclear] get in 10 or 15 minutes late every Wednesday night I mean oh that’s okay when you can’t avoid it better to come late than not come isn’t that right and when I didn’t get off on time I came in my dirty clothes okay and I was a auto mechanic at the time and you know you smell from grease and everything else all right but when you want God you don’t let things stop you but I heard them talking about the Sunday night experience as I approached the door and I stood there and listened and then they’re hitting everything that the Holy Ghost just ripped me apart about Pastor [unclear] was wise to all this stuff and teaching [unclear] right now I had to walk into that Bible study the guy that goofed I

▶ 25:37 Wanted to go home. Just hide but you can’t do that you’ve got to accept your failures as well as your successes and when I walked in everything got quiet yeah and anyway I learned a lot and then I had many experiences with demon possessions or so-called demon possessions and I learned by the Holy Ghost how to determine if they had a demon or not you see this guy in church was a believer and that’s one of the things the Holy Ghost said how can a believer a Christian have a demon if God is living in their life how in the world can a demon be [unclear] and like I told you I learned to keep my mouth shut go to the scriptures and get [unclear] right are you with me and I fell for it because I copied what I saw and us Protestants we make fun of the Catholics with their rituals and all that and they have a ritual for exorcism and you saw it in the movie Exorcist you know they have this incense and holy water on all these things they do that’s a bunch of baloney you cast out demons by what the Holy Spirit there is no ritual.

Why did the apostles fail before Pentecost?

▶ Watch this part (27:00)

Short answer: The Spirit was with them; they healed and cast out demons, but lacked inner strength—Peter denied Christ. Filled with the Spirit, they never did.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 27:00 And so I learned to be able to determine if the guy or the lady had a demon or not and then deal with it in its proper context and honestly the demons are easy once they’re identified they just come out by the Holy Ghost there’s nothing you just pray you do your thing you just ask and God does the rest could that be an amen hallelujah so we need this Holy Ghost don’t we. Yeah. Now you remember. The spirit was in Jesus and the spirit was in John. At this point but the spirit was with the apostles [unclear] could the apostles cast out demons yes the spirit was with them and Jesus gave them authority to cast out demons could the apostles heal the sick yes the spirit with them and Jesus gave them authority they healed the sick they cast out demons they preached the gospel people got saved but the apostles at this point was not speaking in tongues and the apostles at this point did not have the inner strength.

▶ 28:19 To stand for Christ Peter denied him. Spirit with you. Can limit your inner strength Peter denied him the apostles all scattered when Jesus was arrested they left him. They went back to fishing went back to living a normal life. But when Jesus opened their understanding to the gospel and Jesus filled them with the Holy Ghost you never find them denying Christ you never find them leaving you never find them taking the church’s money or running off with the church’s secretary or you never find the apostles doing anything that we read about ministers doing today. And that’s.

▶ 29:12 The difference between the Holy Ghost with you and the Holy Ghost in you. And all of us can have the Holy Ghost with us and we can have the Holy Ghost in us and that’s the baptism of the Holy Ghost do you understand are you sure. Now with that clarity shouldn’t you be asking for that baptism and if you already got it shouldn’t you be asking to maintain it in its power absolutely. There’s a big difference why do a lot of Christians fall apart they don’t have the baptism of the Holy Ghost of empowerment when pressure comes they fall apart. And the pressures comes they will deny Christ and follow their friends or follow their family instead of standing up for Christ why they lacked the power of the Holy Ghost to be a witness under Jesus.

What happened to the seven sons?

▶ Watch this part (30:17)

Short answer: Acts 19: they used “the name of Jesus that Paul preaches” without knowing him; the demon said “Jesus I know, Paul I know,” and overpowered them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 30:17 Now folks that’s as clear as I can get it to you. hallelujah you remember the seven sons of [unclear]. They saw Paul you know that’s what I did I saw people casting out demons and I imitated them didn’t work okay God corrected me and I got on the right track these seven sons of a high priest. Okay in the temple they saw Paul casting out demons so they got a guy that had a demon and they said this ridiculous statement by the name of Jesus that Paul preaches. They didn’t know Jesus they hadn’t accepted Jesus we command you to come out and the demon goes Jesus I know Paul I know but who in the world are you guys and then the demon the guy that was filled with the demon jumped on them and chased them out of the house you see why he didn’t have the Holy Spirit working with him because he didn’t believe in the gospel he just wanted the

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 19:13-16 (NKJV)

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

When did they speak in other languages?

▶ Watch this part (31:29)

Short answer: Acts 2:4: only when the Spirit gave them utterance. Earthly languages are a sign for unbelievers; heavenly ones edify. First Corinthians 12: gifts are given by the Spirit.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 31:29 fame you know people acknowledging that they could cast out a demon when they couldn’t. And a lot of Christians want to be seen as some mighty man of God or woman of God and they’re doing things without the spirit and it doesn’t work are you with me and that’s what I did that Sunday night I did things from what I saw not from the word and the spirit and it didn’t work. Acts 2:4 they spoke in other languages as what the spirit gave them utterance. They never spoke in languages before the Holy Ghost showed up they didn’t speak in languages when the place shook they didn’t speak in languages when the wind blew they spake in languages when the Holy Spirit gave them something to say in another language and they spoke in 15 different languages that day.

▶ 32:28 And doesn’t he say they will speak in new tongues languages you don’t know now there’s a difference between. The languages of heaven languages of angels and languages in the earth okay. Now tongues are a sign for the unbelievers so which one would be for the unbeliever the languages of earth or the languages of heaven of course that’s gonna get unbelievers attention. Hallelujah so do we pursue new languages. Absolutely we need every tool there is available to bring people to Christ amen. And you got to understand the difference between the languages of heaven they are there to edify you.

▶ 34:29 Demonstration instead of an effective change of people’s lives because the Holy Ghost was in it are you with me. Hallelujah. and Luke 5:17 a crowd was around Jesus and many were sick [unclear] demon-possessed around him and the Bible says this statement which is so powerful I can still remember God opening up this scripture to me they’re so powerful. The scripture said the power of the Lord was present to heal wow I mean oh that’s a big difference go and tarry in Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high Jesus in Acts 1.

▶ 35:34 you shall receive the power of the Holy Ghost not many days hence the power of the Holy Ghost [unclear] the Holy Ghost showed up when that crowd was around Jesus and then the power of the Lord was present to heal and then Jesus responded to the presence and healed them all. Can he do that today. Absolutely but we got to be in tune we got to be seeking for it we got to decide to become more than just day by day Christians. Amen is this a good Christmas message. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners [unclear] both the atheist and the unbelievers are sinners and both the church are sinning in America is the church filled with a lot of Christian sinners absolutely they’re shacking up with one another they’re smoking marijuana and taking drugs they’re doing all kinds of things that the Bible says is wrong and what’s going to save them the gospel of men or the gospel of Christ gospel of Christ and what’s going to make the difference in that gospel the Holy Ghost backing it up.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Names of other ministers are in the transcript only. Garbled terms marked [unclear] (e.g. the “seven sons of [unclear]”—Sceva in Acts 19). Point to check: “15 different languages” on Pentecost (32:20). Sensitive content kept as spoken: unbelievers “gonna burn in the lake of fire forever”; Muslims, Mormons, Catholic church; Catholic exorcism ritual “a bunch of baloney”; “demons don’t have names”; ministers “running off with the church’s secretary”; church members “shacking up … smoking marijuana.” Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
