Pastor David G. Kincer teaches that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth who never lies, stays forever, teaches all things, reminds us, and guides us from foundational to mature doctrine. Anything “the spirit told me” that contradicts the word isn’t from Him. Test the spirits, continue loyally in the apostles’ doctrine, and trust in the name of the Lord.

How many Gods are there?

▶ Watch this part (3:44)

Short answer: One God, expressing Himself in Jesus, God in the flesh, and in the Holy Ghost who empowers us.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:44 Folks there’s only one God said one God he expresses himself in Jesus God in the flesh and the Holy Ghost which empowers us one God and if your trinity thinking is any different net you need to adjust your trinity thinking trinity is a good word to explain God but when you think there’s three gods you’re wrong there’s one God can I hear an amen and the father is the big boss well. Okay now we’re going to see what this truth that the spirit of who speaks if this spirit of truth is speaking truth what truth is he speaking. That sound like a logical question so first thing we’ll go to is John 17:6 and 17.

▶ 4:42 Jesus prayed father here it is again say father don’t be afraid to praise the father. Hallelujah Jesus was given a name above every name but the father’s above him hmm did we get that hallelujah now. Father your word is true so the first thing the spirit of truth is going to speak the truth that the father spoke amen. From Genesis to Revelation whatever the father said is what the spirit of truth is going to say. That an amen. Secondly. In John 14:16.

What will the Spirit teach?

▶ Watch this part (5:34)

Short answer: All things, and bring all things to your remembrance; at 76 he needs a lot of reminding.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:34 The spirit of truth shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance how many need a little reminding. Boy at 76 I need a lot of remind you. I have to have a list to tell me to go look at my list yeah. So thank God we got a whole ecosystem. Reminds us a thing. So this is number two he will teach you whatever whatsoever I have said unto you so the second thing that the spirit of truth is going to teach us is what the words that Jesus spoke I. Mean oh that’s what we need to hear the words of Jesus spoke the word that God spoke and let everybody else go talk to the wind.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 14:26 (NKJV)

Where does the Spirit guide?

▶ Watch this part (6:34)

Short answer: Into all truth: first foundational doctrines, then mature doctrine, the meat of the word.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:34 Could have been amen yes now. That’s in John 14:16 and 26 third thing when he the spirit of truth has come he. Will guide you into all truth all right he’s gonna guide you into all truth in the Bible there is a dissections of truth the levels of truth there’s the foundation truth baby doctor. He will guide you through the baby steps see then there is sound doctrine wholesome doctrine healthy doctor he will guide you through the foundation doctrine on to the wholesome doctrine dr. Nut is healthy for you can I hear an amen.

▶ 7:25 Doctrines will make you strong and then he will guide you to mature doctrine they called it the meat of the word most young Christians want to get to the meat before they go through kindergarten before they go through the baby doctrine and that’s a disaster you got to go through the ranks can I hear an amen baby foundational doctrine sound doctrine then mature doctrine that you can handle it the mature doctrine is you exercise your senses to understand right and wrong and follow right mature doctrine is exercising what you learned. What good is it if you’re taught and you don’t do it’s worthless.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 16:13 (NKJV)

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

— John 16:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:34
Scripture (NKJV)

Hebrews 5:12-14 (NKJV)

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

— Hebrews 5:12-14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:25

What do mature believers do?

▶ Watch this part (8:20)

Short answer: They work; babies just complain. They don’t wait for the pastor to do everything.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:20 Is that a name it yeah. Hallelujah so mature people work say work. Babies don’t work they just complain yeah I wanna do bad I want my diverting bad I don’t like this bad like that are you one of them no way she says no way. That’s good see sound doctrine is a healthy doctor when you’re healthy you’re not going around then always me woe is me woe is me no you’re healthy you’re sound amen. And mature doctrine as you work you work to help others no God you work to pray through and worship through the presence of God to come the two of people exercise the word is that an amen.

▶ 9:19 They don’t want for the pastor to do everything they don’t further make a church leader to do everything they know how to do things and they do it well that was good. Alleluia. Now you also got to remember there’s four laws how many laws for we have shadow laws that point to what was going to come through Jesus Christ all right they’re called shadow laws then we have civil laws thou shalt not kill thou shalt not steal thou shalt honor thy parent that’s a civil law are you there see we still keep all of these laws and I’ll show you why there are spiritual laws spiritual law is prayer.

What are spiritual laws?

▶ Watch this part (10:14)

Short answer: Prayer, fasting and tithing are spiritual laws; you don’t go to hell for not praying, you just don’t get anything from heaven if you don’t ask.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:14 You don’t go to hell for not praying you just don’t get anything from heaven if you don’t ask are you there fasting is a spiritual law tithing is a spiritual law it bewkes the devourer. Are you their church these are spiritual laws Christ didn’t come to end these laws and then you got wise laws work six days to provide for yourself and your family is that wise is that why ya don’t get on welfare work.

▶ 10:53 Save your money for the the economic downturn that can come tomorrow is that wise yeah don’t wait for the economic downturn to come oh woe is me you see none of these laws are done away with and Jesus fulfilled the shadow laws so we still keep the shadow laws the animal sacrifices we don’t do anymore because Jesus fulfilled it with one death on the cross for all time amen see we don’t burn incense anymore we pray and worship let my prayer come before thee as incense and the lifting of my hands is the evening sacrifice we worship and we pray that we don’t burn in we don’t do that stuff those were things that pointed to the real truths is that an amen so these people who say we’re not under law we’re under grace they are lying to you.

▶ 11:51 You are under. The civil law the spiritual laws the wise laws and the shadow laws fulfilled you’re not under the shadow law you don’t sacrifice animals anymore you don’t burn incense anymore you don’t work certain clothes anymore you walk in righteousness good that the priestly garments was was an example of water walking and righteousness. Amen white linen is the righteousness of the saints so we keep the shadow laws but they want fulfillment that Jesus brought. Now folks if you didn’t learn anything today that could liberate you. Grace didn’t get us out from under the law he will guide you into all truth and that’s the truth he’s going to guide you and he’s going to start at the bottom and work to the top see.

What is the first foundational doctrine?

▶ Watch this part (12:52)

Short answer: Repentance from dead works; Jesus and John preached repent and believe the gospel.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:52 Repentance from dead works is the first foundational doctrine that’s the first doctrine of Jesus and John the baptist preached repent believe the gospel faith is the next foundational doctrine faith toward God not toward your church not toward yourself not toward some evangelist faith toward who God and God is the father. Call no man father on earth God is the father of all the spiritual kingdom he birthed at all can I hear an amen he’s the big boy he’s the big guy. So. The fourth thing he will not speak of his own what he hears he will speak what he hears from who Jesus and the father.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Hebrews 6:1-2 (NKJV)

Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

— Hebrews 6:1-2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:52

How do you know it’s the Holy Spirit?

▶ Watch this part (13:53)

Short answer: If “the spirit told me” goes against the word, Jesus and the Father, it’s not the Holy Spirit.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:53 These people say that the spirit told me to do something and it going against the word and it’s going against Jesus and going against the father it’s not the Holy Spirit they’re using is that an excuse to do what they want to do. Hallelujah. He will teach you things to come he’s gonna tell you things to come now I have to expose myself here a little when I was a young Christian and I read this I thought all glory died God you know I got filled with the Holy Ghost man I tell you it was a it was something else and then I read this scripture the spirits gonna tell me things to come so you know back in that day Jesus was supposed to come any minute you know that was 50 years ago all right.

▶ 14:46 He hadn’t showed up yet but he was supposed to come any minute and they had all these that they would bring in charts that they’d wrap around the wall am I right you old-timer remember yeah and and everybody I came in with a chart had something different am I right yeah I had a fresh everybody had fresh Revelation of how the things to come things to come all we could think about is things to come is the end time and all that stuff in Revelations gonna you know we’re gonna have it man we’re gonna know. And so what the Holy Spirit do he comes and says it to me David I. Don’t want you speaking out of this book until I give you permission the book of Revelation I. Don’t want you studying this book you can read it but don’t you study it too I release you and that was the smartest thing that happened because I started learning the endtime stuff from the rest of the Bible that everybody else had been passing over for just the book of Revelation wow.

▶ 15:59 Then when God gave me permission to study and teach out of it it was a whole different picture then I would have had if I to jump the gun and got into Revelations are you with me yes. So. As time went by he showed me the things to come has nothing to do with the end time it is part of the things to come but look at this folks. He spoke this in John 16:13 okay this is about. 32 years after he was born he got the picture he’s in the roman empire. You got the roman religion you got the greek religion you got the Jews all broken up into different religion Pharisees Sadducees all these guys geez and he’s.

What things to come did the Spirit show?

▶ Watch this part (16:57)

Short answer: Not rapture charts; when you get saved there’s a lot to come: the outpouring, restoration and refreshing.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:57 Speaking there’s he’s got the Holy Ghost is gonna show us things to come but I want to show you what hadn’t come when he spoke this. All right are you you got the picture has a number one he hadn’t died yet that was to come. Number two he didn’t rise from the grave yet that was to come number three he hadn’t ascended unto the father yet that was to come number four. He had not build his church yet a glorious church that the gates of hell shall not prevail against that was to come when he poured out the Holy Ghost and sent the apostles out is that an amen hallelujah.

▶ 17:57 You see things to come and let me tell you when you get saved there’s a lot of things to come you don’t have to get wrapped up in this rapture nonsense you got a lot of things coming to you that you haven’t experienced yet there’s more to salvation and just getting saved there’s things to come and he says good things to come are all these good things amen how many want more good things to come then the Holy Ghost is the only one that can show you that I can preach to you I can teach to you till I’m blue in the face but until you yield to the Holy Ghost and let him open your understanding you’re not going to understand a thing I said. Man that’s an amen that Holy Ghost has to teach us he is the teacher.

▶ 18:50 Hebrews 10:1 the law having a shadow of what good things to consider come good things to come. What has the good things to come the law that everybody is not everybody but a lot of people said we’re gonna roll we’re under grace I want to be under the law of things to come how about you how about you. Alleluia I want to experience things to come I want to grow in God. Matthew 5:17 think not that I am come to destroy the law what law the shadow law silver law spiritual law or wise laws he did not come to destroy them he come to what fulfill them and if he come to fulfill them they are things that are coming.

▶ 19:51 Amen. Things to come they haven’t been fulfilled yet and we gave you some of them. Okay the outpouring of the Holy Spirit hadn’t come here in John 16 he built his glorious church and then there is a falling away had that come yet when he said this had the falling away come yet no. It was coming about two hundred years after Jesus ascended the catholic and the orthodox church take credit for this falling away they are proud to say they can trace the roots back to Peter oh go ahead I don’t want nothing to do with that falling away are you there are you there yeah they’re the ones that brought in the garbage and the church fell away but also he said there will be a restoration of all things had that happened yet no because there’s no falling away yet there’s the gathering a man.

▶ 21:03 God’s gonna restore and let me tell you I don’t care where you’re heading God if you’ve fallen away or or you gotten lazy in God let me tell you God’s out the restoring of my friend is that an amen amen. Yes. He’s in the restoration business don’t you ever stay down when you’re down God is there to pick you up and restore you and that’s to come if that’s what you need in your life it’s good things to what calm woo is this Bible good or what alleluia then he says not only that I’m going to restore the Jews to their natural homeland and the kingdom of God have the Jews been restored back to their homeland yes.

▶ 21:58 Have the Jews been restored to the kingdom no most of them are atheists over there they’re Jews my bloodline not by birth a real spirit are you there how many looking forward to the Jews being visited by God and brought back in yes God does not leave his people and that’s encouraging to all of us amen if he cares that much about the natural Jew how much more does he care about a spiritual juice hallelujah we got a God that can do things amen then. Times of refreshing the Bible says we’ll come from the presence of the Lord oh yeah people are out there falling away and yeah people are getting restored and and whatever season people are in.

▶ 22:54 God said I’m gonna be bring times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord how many want that refreshing from the presence not just fancy musicians and fancy singer singing that can move your spirit but that presence of God moving you refreshing you strengthen you good things to come amen. See I don’t have to wait for the next great awakening to touch God I can get in those seasons of refreshing and touch him and get ignited a little yes give God a clap offering. Then he says knowledge will increase in Daniel in the last days knowledge will increase that didn’t happen to the 1800s.

— Acts 3:19-21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:54

When did knowledge increase?

▶ Watch this part (23:50)

Short answer: He says the prophecy waited about 1800 years, until the industrial revolution; in the 70s God raised up teachers who hit the mark.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:50 1800 years later when Jesus said I’m going to show you things to come knowledge is going to increase that wasn’t fulfilled for 1800 years. When the industrial revolution came in and the. The great awakenings came in the word of God started increasing the knowledge of the word and then the knowledge out there in the secular world and folks haven’t even know in a little over a hundred years the secular world has gone from horse and buggies to space and Daniel predicted it hundreds of years before Christ came are you there things to come and the knowledge of the word of God the knowledge of the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea there’s an increase in the knowledge of the word when I was a kid those preachers couldn’t preach beans.

▶ 24:52 In the 70s God raised up teachers that could that could teach the word like a arrow shooting them the mark the bullseye before that the preachers just scattergun did that that that that that that that that hoping that one bullet hit somewhere are you there just a lot of nothing but when the teachers came along bam they just that word just shot right into you as it says in the Bible as an arrow hallelujah a specific thing see an arrows one truth at a time no machine gun it are you there now. Also there’s a day of wrath coming and it hasn’t come yet and now right and there’s a great tribulation period before the second coming now great tribulation happened in the early church if you can’t see that you are blind these people these people died.

▶ 25:58 You understand that in the roman empire when they conquered a nation they took slaves of the people they conquered and they put a mark on their forehead are you on do you guys understand that a Mark where their forehead isn’t that interesting. That ring a bell. We’re looking for some big bad beast to rise up in the future and that big bad beast rose up back there didn’t Daniel say that the roman empower was like a beast. Didn’t he yeah. That early church went through great tribulation folks and they would not take the mark they died they would not come under the slavery of the roman empowers religion and gods they would not take the mark and become a slave.

▶ 27:02 Wow. So that means it’s already done I know it can happen again remember those falling away and a restoration. So there’s another has the church being going through tribulation ever since Jesus ascended absolutely the inquisition didn’t a lot of people die for having a different belief than the catholic church allowed them I mean where is this thinking that only in the last days there’s a great tribulation we’ve been gone Jesus said in the world you will have tribulation boy that’s the truth in it hey man anybody here not going through any problems since you were born.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Daniel 12:4 (NKJV)

“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

— Daniel 12:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:50

Is another great tribulation coming?

▶ Watch this part (27:50)

Short answer: Yes, he says another great tribulation and the day of wrath are coming, when every eye will see Him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 27:50 But there’s another great tribulation coming before the end and the day of wrath is coming where God is going to show his power to the whole world that’s a fact and the gospel of the kingdom must be preached as a witness before the coming as a witness means like the early church they went out and preached the gospel they healed the sick they raised the dead you know they were transported fifty miles from one place to another miracles were going on God confirming the word with signs following that’s the word preached as a witness and it’s not being happening today in that right not on a large scale we get doses here and there but God’s going to come and he’s going to infect this earth with a gospel that is backed up by the supernatural power of God amen. Yes and then Jesus is going to come.

▶ 28:47 Let me tell you forget these pictures where you see a picture of Jesus and the earth and one Jesus in the sky the artist just don’t understand every eye will see him not one person coming out of the sky all over the globe they’re gonna see this man Jesus are you there if you’re a mile down in the south American diamond mines you’re gonna see him is that an amen if you’re on the dark side of the earth where the sun isn’t shining you’re gonna see him is that ain’t amen it’s a supernatural thing this is not a little here comes Jesus we got to wait for the globe to turn for everybody to see him know. Amen.

▶ 29:41 We serve a powerful God with a powerful message and a spirit of truth is the one that will open up these things to us and visit us and we can experience these things good things to come how many still want good things to come yes hallelujah. We’re always talking about how the church has fallen away in materialistic and all that well let’s get back to the restoration and refreshing I don’t care what other people are doing I can experience things to come in the refreshing the restoration I can be moved upon by God in the midst of this falling away and all those other garbage could that be an amen. Hallelujah and then we’re going to get a new heaven and a new earth oh how refreshing this earth are going to be renovated by fire no more water joe witnesses are lying to you with this pretty picture on their stuff of dears and what streams of water us when they come to my house I said that’s a big lie they make the new earth well it’s a good way to illustrate I say a good way to illustrate the real thing geez.

▶ 30:53 Are you there. Somebody’s got to say something. Good grief we’re too nice Christians gonna be nice no I don’t want to offend and about offend somebody. Get him in the kingdom good grief. Jesus said you go tell that fox Herod oh preach today and I’ll preach them on the third day all dying rise again and hang he ain’t stopping me. Man let me reduce I’m offending for the kingdom of course now we’re not talking about your rude attitude. And then when the comfort of the spirit of truth has come he will testify of me the spirit of God is going to testify of Jesus when we worship this morning we were witnessing we were witnesses of Jesus amen and that is the five things that the Holy Spirit of truth is going to teach us and in closing as the musicians come the spirit of truth and the spirit of error do not believe every spirit and immediately.

How do we test the spirits?

▶ Watch this part (32:10)

Short answer: He who knows God hears the apostles; he who is not of God does not hear them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 32:10 You think all these spirits out there but just. Don’t go that way don’t go broad here we’re going to be talking about two things every spirit but test the spirits whether they are of God because many false prophets have gone out into the world okay we’re going to have the spirit of false prophets and teachers and we’re going to have the spirit of truth speaking the father Jesus and his apostles truth got an amen. So. We in 1st John 4:1 are of God we in chapter 1 verse 1 is talking about the apostles John is saying we apostles are of God you got that now.

▶ 33:08 He who knows God hears us who’s us. The. [unclear] Say apostles. They got the word fresh from Jesus. All right. He who is not of God does not hear us who’s us the apostles they don’t listen to the apostles. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error to spirit the spirit of truth backs up what the apostles teach what Jesus teach taught and what God taught can I hear an amen. The false prophets do not follow the apostles or Christ or the father oh they bring in a little bit of him enough to fool you but they don’t teach the whole counsel of God and he says this is how we know the spirit of truth in the spirit of error if they are not teaching what the father said Jesus said and the apostles said their off base can I hear an amen.

What did the early church continue in?

▶ Watch this part (34:29)

Short answer: Loyally in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, a covenant partnership.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 34:29 Now look at this they continued loyally say the word loyally. They were committed they were faithful they were loyal loyal to what the apostles doctrine then let anybody deviate them from the apostles doctrine and the only way they could do that as they were reading and studying the word themselves so they knew when people preach they were preaching the apostles doctrine could that be an amen. Hallelujah and the first thing the Holy Ghost will do is drive you to the word. You may gloat over speaking in tongues I spoke in tongues when I got filled and all that but let me tell you the next morning the Holy Ghost sent me right to the book read the book boy read the book is that an amen.

▶ 35:28 They continued loyally in fellowship the greek word there’s koinonia it’s a partnership it’s a covenant it’s not just like we’re going to have today after church a fellowship a burger bash you know we eat we laugh we talking no this is a commitment as you stick with Jesus I’m not going to do anything to hurt you I’m not going anything to let you down. Fellowship. Say it fellowship. Partnership. Yes it’s a stronger word than us just communicating with another there’s a commitment see that’s called what. Loyalty say it loyalty what is lacking in much of the church world loyalty because we’re not following the spirit of truth that keeps us loyal to the words of the father to the words of Jesus and to the words of the apostles and in love one with another.

▶ 36:33 Well that was good. You know people get hurt and they run off you know the Lord haven’t you ever read in the Bible blessed are they that love thy law and nothing shall offend them. So when you get hurt what are you saying I don’t love the law I don’t love God’s word are you their church. Hallelujah. This spirit of truth has many things to come in your life. Many things that you can experience and you can grow from babyhood to maturity. The breaking of bread that is both the word of God and the communion table showing forth the death of Christ till he comes but also the breaking of the bread of the word can I hear an amen and then prayer is his house to be called a house of prayer what do we spend the least doing in the house of God in America praying we got the music oh yeah oh I was so great I cried oh the music we need some good old-fashioned on your knees calling out the God prayer for these good things to come is that an amen.

▶ 37:59 Yes. And we’re gonna be praying in a little bit here gonna give you an opportunity to exercise the word if you don’t know Jesus you can come to him today all right you can repent of your sins you can invite him in as many as receive me to them gave he power to become sons of God you accept Jesus into your life you admit you’re sinner if you don’t know Jesus that’s the first thing you admit. If you got other sins you confess them he cleanses them and you start walking in his way is that any man that’s simple that’s the power of the gospel right there. Psalms 20 verse 7 some trust in chariots and some trust in horses chariots were a rich men’s vehicle horses were a rich man’s vehicle Jesus had the right on a donkey.
