From the sermonThe Holy Spirit in the Old Testament is the Same Holy Spirit in the New Testament 09/14/2019 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer shows that the same Holy Spirit works in both Testaments. The Spirit turned Saul into another man, but Saul ignored God’s timetable, spared Agag, persecuted David and lost the Spirit. Paul, chief of sinners, was born again, taught by the Spirit and became the chief apostle. The same Spirit is offered to all of us.

Is the Old Testament Spirit the same as the New?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: Yes. It is the same Spirit; only in the New Testament everybody can have it now.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:00 We found that the Old Testament spirit is the same as the New Testament spirit only in the New Testament spirit you can everybody can have it now aliyah and the Old Testament select people were moved upon by the Holy Ghost but in the New Testament anyone can be moved upon by the Holy Ghost. So we are going to take a look at two people one in the Old Testament and one in the new king saw in the Old Testament and we’re going to take a look at persecutor saw in the New Testament Saul was not a king in the New Testament he was a persecutor of the church of the living God rejected the message of Jesus Christ rejected the healings and the miracles that Jesus did when Paul saw these things heard the message and rejected it so he could please his Pharisee religion leaders that’s what the Bible says he wanted to move up the ladder in the Pharisee church the Pharisee religion are you there and that said a lot of Christians are trying to do that today so let’s take a look at these guys well first go with king Saul in 1st Samuel 10 6 the spirit of the Lord will come upon you see he is predicting before he does it just like he said in the Bible I

What did the Spirit do to Saul?

▶ Watch this part (1:30)

Short answer: The Spirit of the Lord came upon Saul and he was turned into another man; God gave him another heart.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:30 will tell you what I’m gonna do before I do it and then I’ll do it and you’ll know I’ve got hello there. The spirit of the Lord will come upon you saw now Saul was a believer. So already was a believer in God Jehovah and Saul was a humble believer he hid behind the stuff when it come for his coronation day to be king he hid behind the stuff you went out there yeah man make me king I’ll get this job done hallelujah like a lot of us today oh yeah I’m it no he was humble. He was small in his own eyes one of the reasons God chose him and he was a believer in God. You will prophesy. Now it doesn’t make your profit because God prophesized through you you understand there’s a difference that’s the office of a prophet who can predict things and they will come to pass there is prophecy of edification exhortation and comfort that anyone in the church can do when God decides to do it through you is that an amen yes.

▶ 2:44 You will be turned into another man I’m going to change you Saul I’m gonna do it and in 10 chapter 10 verse 9 God changed Saul’s heart his mind his will his emotions God changed Saul’s heart the heart is the mind the thinking the will your desires you desire to do things that pleases you and all that your desire and it’s changed to please God your emotions you used to get angry and lose your temper and curse and attack people with your mouth and hit people and all the rest violent but when the spirit comes your bridled you have self-control you have love instead of hate you have self-control instead of violence God comes and changes us and no minister can do that it takes the spirit of God are you with me folks alleluia.

How is that like the New Testament?

▶ Watch this part (3:49)

Short answer: God has given us the earnest of the Spirit; if anyone is in Christ he is a new creature.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:49 Now we go to the New Testament 2nd Corinthians 5:5 and 17 God has given us the earnest of the spirit. See the spirit of the Lord will come upon you Saul God says the spirit is going to come up on us he pledged it he said it’s like a downpayment of other things to come and the spirit is the downpayment it’s the pledge it’s the initiation of things to come isn’t it the spirit that leads us into all truth yeah isn’t it the spirit the convicts us of sin righteousness and judgment isn’t it the spirit that wants to worship Jesus yes. That’s what it says in the gospel of John about the spirit of God and he’s a spirit of truth he doesn’t lie and when you’re saying you’re talking from God and talking from the Holy Ghost and you’re talking lies you’re not talking from God of the Holy Ghost they don’t lie can I hear an amen you’re talking from your own spirit.

▶ 4:54 Then he goes on to say if anyone is in Christ hears that born again of the spirit unless you be born of the water in the spirit you cannot enter or even see the kingdom of God didn’t know what it says you must be born again this has to be a new birth if any man be in Christ that is the birth at born again not had knowledge just repeating somebody’s little sinner’s prayer or whatever but actually you being moved on by the Holy Ghost to repent and you respond and turn. Amen. That person is a what new creation. Turned into another man change Saul’s are we by the Holy Spirit our turned our made into a new creation old things then he describes it old things are passed away your old desires your old habits your old ways are gone and the.

▶ 5:57 New ways are here God’s ways the true ways the Holy Spirit’s ways. Hallelujah and all of us he’s given us all of us who believe and follow him are given this Holy Spirit didn’t Joel say I will pour out my spirit on all flesh and didn’t in that repeated in the New Testament folks were all candidates for this power God alleluia not just some elite minister some where all things become new so let’s go take a look at brother Saul king Saul in the Old Testament let’s look at his life after being changed by the spirit into another man will a new heart I mean man well go or die God just bam.

Should we elevate people God uses?

▶ Watch this part (6:53)

Short answer: No. No one can prophesy unless the Spirit moves; don’t elevate people because God used them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:53 And after he was prophesying say people elevate you and think highly of you when you can do things in God and that is a big mistake because no one can prophesy unless the spirit gives up to earth no one can speak in tongues and if the spirit gives utterance no one can heal unless the spirit gives the power Jesus said virtue is going out of me powers going out of me are you there we shouldn’t be of other elevating people folks that is a big mistake in America. If God can use a donkey. To speak. Folks don’t get high and mighty because he uses you.

Why did Saul offer the sacrifice?

▶ Watch this part (7:45)

Short answer: Samuel didn’t come by the appointed time, so Saul sacrificed himself. God has a timetable and Saul did not follow it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 7:45 Could ever be any men and don’t elevate people because God used them go beyond that and say that was gone could that be an amen. Now. When Saul was small it says in 1st Samuel 1517. Unimportant in his own eyes God did this when saw considered himself nothing in spirits of thing humble. Are you there. Hallelujah now. Now this is the truth this is a story okay. Saw. Was told to wait for Samuel to offer the burnt offering and the peace offering before he went to battle with his enemies and Saul gave him a Samuel gave him a set date and time.

▶ 8:52 Went by and that day came and no sentinel noon came no Samuel three o’clock came no Samuel so saw. sacrificed the burnt offering and the peace offering himself and a lot of people say that before the priest only you need to reread your Bible. David offered him. Solomon offered him are you there. He disobeyed a direct word from God that Samuel would do the sacrifice at the proper time at the set time and how many people do you know try to fix their fix that they want God to fix and he’s not doing it in their time and so they try to fix it and they met him mess out of it are you there.

▶ 9:50 Hallelujah. God has a timetable and Saul did not follow it and so Samuel recommended him then. Saul went to battle and he wanted to kill his own son Jonathan. Because saw made a rule that wasn’t God’s rule God made it saw made a rule that I will have no one eat until this battle is won no one can eat but Jonathan wasn’t there to hear the message and Jonathan saw some honey and dipped his sword in and ate it enlightened and got strength to keep fighting the enemy. And so saw was wanting to kill Jonathan for disobeying his own made-up rule.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Samuel 13:8-13 (NKJV)

Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering. Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him. And Samuel said, “What have you done?” Saul said, “When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash, then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the LORD.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.” And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

Do we need many rules?

▶ Watch this part (10:47)

Short answer: We have enough rules: love God and love your neighbor as yourself.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:47 Charity in America we have so many rules that have nothing to do with the Bible we got enough rules and the ten commandments love God love your neighbor as yourself and love yourself to keep us busy the rest of our life can I hear an amen we don’t need anybody making any more rules and then punishing us for disobeying them. Could that be an amen hallelujah. So. The people saved Jonathan from Saul killing they said no Jonathan’s done a great work today you can’t do this so the people came to the rescue I mean you know we need to rise up when things are bad and come to innocent people’s rescue could that be an amen not set their words the king.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 22:37-39 (NKJV)

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

— Matthew 22:37-39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:47

What did Saul do with Agag?

▶ Watch this part (11:45)

Short answer: He was told to destroy the Amalekites but spared Agag; because he rejected the word of the Lord, God rejected him as king.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 11:45 No wrong is wrong and right is right amen I don’t care who it is now he also. Was told to kill Agag the king of the Amalekites who attacked Israel when they came out of Egypt and God told amalek that he was going to deal with them later and here God is telling saw to deal with him this is a hundreds of years later. Now God’s going to keep his word see I tell you what I’m gonna do before I do it amen so here he’s telling Saul to go do what I promised the emelec tides I would do you go down there and you kill every one man woman and child and you kill all the animals that.

▶ 12:41 Was the instruction if you God told us that today well that’s inhumane and you know yeah are you there. It wasn’t in inhumane these people this will be God rejected God and God is the judge and he decides when they’re punished and how they’re punished is that an amen. So Saul went and he won the battle but he left king angad alive and he left from the animals that were good alive all the good animals he kept all the bad down on was he killed because the people told him to. King saw started listening to the people instead of God the people well you know you can’t really do this this is inhumane that can’t be God you know and we can we can use these animals to sacrifice to God and so caved to please the people just like Herod and Pilate did they cave to please the people to crucify Jesus are you there just like ministers today in America are caving in from preaching the gospel because the people don’t want to hear the gospel anymore they want to hear psychology and how great they are and how wealthy they can be from believing in God is that an amen.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Samuel 15:3 (NKJV)

Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ”

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Samuel 15:23 (NKJV)

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king.”

— 1 Samuel 15:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:09

What are many American Christians getting?

▶ Watch this part (14:10)

Short answer: Smooth, easy things from ministers who want to please people; real ministers preach the gospel.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:10 Preach to us smooth things easy things and that’s what the American Christian is getting from ministers who want to please the people real ministers will preach the gospel where people like it or not can I hear an amen. So. After he did this. This is what God said through Samuel to saw rebellion is that the sin of witchcraft. Direct disobedience to authority and in God is the authority is the sin of witchcraft and witchcraft was a capital punishment stubbornness. Incorrigible hard to manage you won’t listen is as iniquity and idolatry idolatry was a capital punishment are you there.

▶ 15:07 Because you rejected the word of the Lord he has also rejected you from being king. Are you there and God goes out and chooses a new king a man after his own heart and no one seemed to be king. Then. Saul saw that David was favored by the people that God was with him and the dancers and the singer sang Saul has slain his thousands and David his ten thousand they’re out there publicly dancing and singing that song and Saul got jealous. Of course American Christians don’t get jealous do it.

Scripture (NKJV)

Isaiah 30:10 (NKJV)

Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.

How did Saul treat David?

▶ Watch this part (16:03)

Short answer: He asked for a hundred Philistine foreskins hoping David would die, then gave David’s wife to another man.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:03 And he wanted to destroy David so he told David I tell you what David you give me some foreskins, a hundred. Foreskins of the Philistines and I’ll let you marry my beautiful daughter Michal and David said wow that’s great that’s easy he’s gonna out there and brought back the foreskins and he married Saul’s daughter Saul wanted him to die in battle are you there. When that didn’t work Saul tried to kill David himself. God’s new man God’s new movement God’s new thing before I do something I tell you of them God told the people that David was going to be king he was anointed king and that was what God was going to do and Saul could do nothing about it he trying to kill him.

▶ 17:03 Then. David had to run to the desert and run from Saul and his wife stayed back in the castle with her father king zhou and king Saul gave his daughter to another man which was totally against the Bible are you there now listen michael could have went to that desert abigail went into the desert with David. She didn’t go I’m gonna stay here but but you know the Bible says michael loved David what kind of love is that where you don’t follow your husband. In the will of God. Are you guys here. The Bible doesn’t say abigail love David the Bible says that abigail knew the times and seasons of God and when God killed her husband and David asked her to be his wife she wanted to be part of what God was doing she learned to love David it doesn’t say she loved David at the beginning does it.

▶ 18:15 So much for love commitments a lot better in fact love is commitment. Anybody can say words. Are you their church and so Saul’s messing up big time breaking God’s word right and left then he goes out and kills 85 innocent priests that help David because they didn’t know Saul wanted to kill David and they gave David some food from the the bread from the temple and so forth the old bread and gave him goliath sword and so Saul killed them and they were innocent of the whole thing. Are you there. So. You can see Saul’s declined.

What happened to the Spirit on Saul?

▶ Watch this part (19:13)

Short answer: The Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, the Spirit that had changed his thinking and emotions.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:13 So the Bible says the spirit of the Lord departed from Saul this spirit that changed him into another man this spirit that changed his thinking changed his emotion changed his desires and made him a leader of God’s people that spirit was taken from him. The universalists say everybody’s going to heaven a lot of once saved always say people say ever that if you believe you’re going to heaven Saul was a believer he was not only a believer he was changed by the spirit of God are. You here. Saul died in first Chronicles 10:13 for his unfaithfulness sayit unfaithfulness I committed against the Lord and he died because he did not keep the word of the Lord say it didn’t keep the word of the Lord he died for it he died early before his time and also because he consulted a medium a necromancer one that speaks to the dead for guidance.

Did the witch bring up Samuel?

▶ Watch this part (20:31)

Short answer: He says the witch was as shocked as Saul that Samuel came up; these people don’t talk to the dead.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 20:31 And that’s another sermon I ain’t got time to [unclear] on that these people don’t talk to the dead the witch was just as shocked that Samuel came up from the dead as Saul was are you there ain’t no communication between us and the dead is that an amen yeah and so he died in his sin and Jesus said you know if you if you don’t believe if you don’t change if you don’t repent you’re going to die in your sin. You die in your sin of a habitual flagrant and sin you’re not going to heaven. But that’s not what the modern preachers are saying out there if you just believe you’re safe. No accountability no.

What are the seven types of people?

▶ Watch this part (21:25)

Short answer: Opponents, rejecters, believers, babies tossed by every wind, learned disciples, and real servants of God who declare the whole counsel of God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:25 Obedience to God’s word are you here church. Alleluia now. Remember last week we gave you seven people who responded to God the opponent’s they marked they reject the istick questions they mistreat the people of God they pass laws opposing Christ the Bible and what is right they can be unbelievers or believers and then you got the unbeliever that hasn’t heard or they’ve heard and they need some more hearing I was one of those I needed to hear my id I needed to keep hearing how many out there needed to keep hearing I guess I was an isolated case mostly huh you guys just heard it bam.

▶ 22:12 I had to figure this stuff out then you got the believer they believe that Jesus was born of a virgin most of them they believe he preached the gospel they believed he did miracles they believe he laid down his life on the cross picked it back up again on the third day for the sins of the world that’s really what they believe right there they believe that they are forgiven by the savior Jesus Christ but they won’t don’t want any part of discipline disciple and they don’t want to learn the word they don’t put it to time into reading the word they don’t put any time to studying the word they don’t put any time to go into a real Bible study where somebody is teaching the whole counsel of God they don’t take the time and so they don’t grow. They will read books out of the Christian bookstore in a secular bookstore or whatever owns a six o’clock news they’ll embrace those things which most of them are false doctrines and false teachers and they become a false teacher when they pass that on is that an amen.

▶ 23:23 They are tossed about by every wind of doctrine they oppose themselves their carnal they are babies and they don’t care about the spiritual condition of the people in God’s church they could cure the least. Amen. Paul said I have no man man like-minded who genuinely cares for your condition. Church do we have we grown to a place where we really care about the person next to us and not just our own self. That an amen. Alleluia. Then there’s the believer who really gets born again they follow Christ they’re learning they haven’t come to the place where they have the compassion for the church members yet this level they care but their unskillful and they’re still learning but they’re involved and they come to church with something to give like first Corinthians 14 says they don’t come to just be flattered and and and encouraged and pumped up and be life coach they come to contribute their prayers their worship and the truths that God has given them with other people and then.

▶ 24:47 You got the learn the disciples these are learned they are disciples they’re skillful they’re caring for the people they know how to speak when it should be spoken how it should be spoken and what it should be spoken these guys are good they’re there they’re really helpers building the church of the living God and they are planted they are planted in the living church of God that’s why they are fruitful you see when you’re planted in the house of the Lord the spiritual house of God not some. Organization you bring forth fruit automatically because of the roots are in the spiritual ground and the spiritual kingdom can I hear an amen. You can’t manufacture fruits. They grow naturally. And then.

▶ 25:39 You got the real servants of God the ministers servant is a minister. They declare the whole council of God they’re different than everybody else. They care for the flock they lead the flock they don’t wait for somebody to start a program they just started. Are you there they don’t wait for somebody’s approval to save souls or teach the word of God they just do it. Are you there church. Alleluia and they know how to love their enemy all of these stages they know how to expose. The error and care for the one that’s in error for God to restore them.

▶ 26:38 No animosity no hatred. Alleluia are we all called to be kings and priests in God’s kingdom yes can we all get here yes we may not be the office of a pastor prophet evangelist teacher or so forth but we can do the work. Is that an amen but it takes time you got to put time into this and you got to let the Holy Ghost do it this isn’t a man-made thing it isn’t how many Bible studies you’ve been to it’s how many Bible studies God is birthed in you and you’re operating them wow that was good did you hear that. People think because they went to a Bible study they got it and you don’t got it until you operate it.

What was wrong with Saul’s repentance?

▶ Watch this part (27:37)

Short answer: He wanted to be honored before the people; his purpose was to be seen.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 27:37 Now in this enlightenment let’s bring in brother king Saul. Here he is a new heart. New spirit leader of God’s people. Little on his own eyes and then he declined backwards. Till he was an opponent a mocker a rejecter of God’s word God’s people. Are you there he tried to bribe people to get him to do what he wanted him to do. When he repented when Samuel asked told him his sin the first sin and he repented this is what he said.

▶ 28:38 You know I repent but honor me in front of the people so the people don’t despise me he his whole purpose for repentance was he wanted the people to see him go through some religious ceremony and keep following him I mean oh that’s not repentance repentance is turning from your sin did he turn from his sin no he wanted Samuel to do some ceremony so the people thought he had repented is that happening in America oh yeah. Folks only God can change you we learned this and saw only the Holy Spirit can come and change you so let’s look at bullies all in the New Testament all right it didn’t have word for persecutors so I put bully in there I I have to adjust my words to fit on the screen and okay Saul was a Pharisee he rejected the message of Jesus he rejected the miracles and he wanted to excel in the Pharisee religion so he went to the leaders of the Pharisees and the leaders of the center of the temple and asked them to give him permission written permission to beat Christians in jail Christians and even stoned them and he was out there persecuting Christians.

How did Paul become an apostle?

▶ Watch this part (30:11)

Short answer: The chief of sinners, persecuting Christ’s body, was born again, taught by the Holy Ghost three years in the desert, and became the chief apostle.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 30:11 Yeah did not sum it up yes and the Bible says he was the chiefest of sinners. He was there when the miracles were happen he was there when Jesus was there he was there when the apostles were preaching he was there too experience all this and he rejected it and then he persecuted the very church that Christ died for the chief sinners the Bible says so he’s on his road to damascus did in prison more kill more beat more take him out of their home and on the way he encounters Jesus a bright light a voice that nobody with him heard. And Jesus said Paul why are you persecuting me now was Paul persecuting Jesus Jesus is in heaven he had ascended.

▶ 31:10 Now Paul wasn’t persecuting Jesus Paul was persecuting his church and we are the body of Christ and so we are Christ on earth because we are his many membered body and that’s how Christ brought it to Saul you are persecuting me. It’s all google who are you. And then Saul as you know went into damascus got his eyes opened first we need blinded to our old ways and then we need to see the new way can I hear an amen no no yeah we need that experience and saw get blind to the old get eyes open to the news that an amen and then he got filled with the Holy Ghost and then.

▶ 32:04 He went. He went through the unbeliever to believer he jumped right over this stage to being born again a father of Christ went out into the desert for three years at least three years to learn the word of God. By the Holy Ghost he didn’t go to the Jewish seminary seminary he didn’t go to the apostles Bible college he went out in the desert and the spirit taught him the word of God just like the spirit taught them the apostles the apostles spent three and a half years with Christ Paul spent three years in the desert with the Holy Ghost. Are you with me have me know how to change it he didn’t get saved and start telling everybody what to do.

▶ 33:07 Heating in Satan said I got all nine gifts hallelujah I’m filled with the Holy Ghost holiday I don’t need anything I got the Holy Ghost hallelujah now he studied the word of God for three years just like the apostles had Jesus teaching them for three years he had the Holy Spirit teaching him for three years and took him up to the third heaven and showed him things that most of us don’t even know. Can I hear an amen today we go to a little Bible college or a big Bible college and we come out with a diploma and we think we’re ministers you aren’t anything unless the Holy Ghost is working in you. Jesus opened the apostles understanding to understand the scriptures three and a half years after they followed him and heard his teaching they still didn’t understand it until Jesus opened it up then they understood are you with me so.

▶ 34:12 Paul. Is. I mean yes all is now Paul only a few people got their name changed by God and Saul was one of change his name to Paul and three years in the desert. Then he moves up with that teaching and learning. And he starts preaching. Christ crucified and so forth and then after fifteen years that would be twelve years later he comes to the apostles in Jerusalem to confirm everything that he learned in the desert and they passed notes with each other talked about all this and they were in total agreement.

▶ 35:06 Hallelujah I mean oh that’s God. The Holy Ghost taught Paul everything in the desert that Jesus had taught the apostles when he was here on earth wow. And. Again God told Saul I’m gonna make you an apostle to the nation’s he predicted what Saul was gonna do before Saul did it and it happened that’s the difference between a real God and an artificial one can I hear an amen is the Holy Ghost important yes is the word of God important are we his vessels alleluia yes now.

▶ 36:00 Then he becomes the chiefest apostle a slave of Christ a minister. He taught the whole council of God he said I have not ceased to teach you the whole counsel of God not one sided a river has to have two banks folks I said it over and over you can’t take one truth and make a doctrine out of it without the anti truth the balance part of the truth are you as me that’s what wholes and directs the water and the water is what the power of the Holy Ghost. Titus 3 verse 5. He Jesus saved us by grace and faith and believing on him doesn’t say that doesn’t how many people you ever hear use this verse.

▶ Watch this part (37:05)

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 37:05 He saves us by faith he says of through faith he saves us by grace those things are true but without this Holy Ghost folks birthing it in us empowering us we have nothing but religious doctrines. Amen. So it’s important we stay tuned with the Holy Ghost. He saved us by the washing of regeneration rebirth rebirth say it rebirth born-again oh yeah from the fleshly thing to the spiritual thing and he saved us by the renewing the change of the mind the desire and the emotion.

▶ 37:57 Renewing our mind renewing our emotion so we’re not angry people losing our temper and doing things like that we’re bridled were self-controlled we love people amen. And. The key word is by the Holy Ghost. The spirit does this in us you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you and the Holy Ghost power the lot more than tongues and I am for tongues forbid not to speak in tongues tongues edifies the believer tongues. Speaks mysteries under God tongues are fine. But this regeneration and rebirth is much better can you say amen to that hallelujah. The spirit and this is the Holy Ghost that did this work then he says plainly the spirit he poured out on us abundantly through Christ church.

▶ 39:04 That is so powerful it’s much better than the Ephesians we’re saved by grace through faith and not of ourselves not of works lest any man should but this thing brings in the power of God working in our salvation working in our life daily to bring us to that place that he promised us to be. Amen. Powerful and we want to leave the Holy Ghost right out of salvation just do some formal thing or ritual in the church and you’re safe we’ll put you on the list no you need to touch this Holy Ghost and be changed by him those who believe in God should be careful to maintain what good works don’t give me this stuff not of works lest any man should boast.

▶ 40:00 If we’re not doing good works we don’t know a good savior. Could that be amen. Church he’s offered every one of us this Holy Spirit he’s offered every one of us the power to change and if it took Paul three years to learn the word isolated in the desert studying day and night it’s going to take time for us to get into the word and study it and the Bible said it and read it every day like food could that be an amen it’s going to take time for us to get to these upper things in God not give up on ourselves.
