▶ 0:05 We’ve been talking about the remnant in the Bible good to have everybody this morning. Welcome and we’ve been uh sharing with the the scriptures say about the remnant for the past several. Weeks and we’re going to close it out today Revelations 12:1 17 says the dragon made war with the remnant of the seed who keep the commandments of God and they have the testimony of Jesus so it’s important to understand that the kingdom of darkness has made a war with God’s people and there is no negotiating with Satan there is no. Diplomacy angels want to destroy there is no ceasefire there’s no treaty there is no. Truce John 10:10 says the thief has come to steal kill.

▶ 1:10 And amen so we are in a war 2 Timothy 4:7 Paul says I have fought the good what fight I have finished the race I have kept the faith and God’s question is are we fighting that good fight who are we fighting. For 2 Corinthians chapter 10:3 says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down.

▶ 2:02 Strongholds and these are some of our weapons this morning praising God is a weapon and you’ve got to get very skilled and disciplined at these. Weapons you know uh you can hand a gun to a somebody who’s never held a gun they don’t know what to do with it but you hand a gun to a marine and they know exactly what to do with it amen this is a difference you have to learn how to use these things this praise this this opportunity. Here these uh weapons of our warfare they’re available to us so that we can fight the war who keep the commandments of God. The the remnant this is how you know if you’re a remnant if you’re keeping God’s.

▶ 2:56 Commandments and you have the testimony of Jesus so there’s a difference amen somebody who’s geared up for battle somebody who’s. Not zachariah 8:12 the seed shall be prosperous the vine shall give its fruit the ground shall give her increase the heavens shall give their due and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all of these things are you an unbeliever. Today you can be become by admitting and confessing your sin are you a believer today if you are a believer you have to make the transition from serving yourself and man is the same.

Jesus it says in John 1:1 is the word the word was in the beginning the word became flesh Jesus and the word are the same and they are the same yesterday today and forever and so it doesn’t matter what nations make legal what laws are written and passed it matters what. Who God Jesus says is right right and wrong because his word and his and Jesus himself has not changed they are the same yesterday today and forever his laws hav’t changed and they never will his laws still protect babies in the womb his word still confirms your identity as a male and female his word confirms that he created us with his own identity.

▶ 5:08 Amen his word requires that all people refrain from harmful behaviors like sexual immorality theft murder intoxication lying and more these are the things found in the ten commandments when you speak his word it will prosper that’s what this is saying right here the seed is the word of God it will prosper when you speak his word the vine Jesus Christ is the vine as we learned will give its fruit we are the branches off of that vine amen and Christ will produce those that fruit of the spirit in our lives that is his promise you see when we uh are staying with the vine and stay connected to the vine he is promising that it will give its fruit it’s a very important for us to stick with Christ there’s a lot of voices there’s a lot of opinions there’s a lot of things that are trying to draw you away from Jesus the vine from staying connected to the vine they want to draw you away and get them connected with you with.

▶ 6:27 Them amen. The ground shall give her increase that is explained in the parable of the seed falling on good. Ground the heavens shall give their due we learned about that in the few weeks ago God Jesus Christ um he is what passing by he’s passing by this morning and we have an opportunity of whether or not we’re going to reach out and partake from. Him we learned about the de uh in california there’s only 12 ines of rain per year your average tree needs over a 100 ines of rain and so what do what do californians do well they water right what can Christians do when there’s not a lot of rain you we can get the dew that is in the air and you can have a reaction with Jesus Christ with the Holy Spirit with God the father when you take time to exercise these.

▶ 7:51 Weapons and God will come when you seek him he will come and you can drink from him directly you don’t have to wait for him to rain down on. Everything so the remnant can have that unlimited supply of water of life from heaven because they are serving and fighting for. Christ Jesus told the woman at the well whoever drinks from the water that I will give that I give will never thirst and the dew is that drink that we can have you remember the garden of eden was just watered by a mist that came up from the ground the garden of eden had rivers flowing through it the the mist that came up from the ground the mist that came up from the ground was so much that it was able to saturate the ground put water in the the water table and there were.

▶ 8:55 Rivers because it didn’t rain that much so this do is so important I encourage. You drink from Christ don’t wait around and that’s what we are always inviting you to do we encourage you to do every week take time this week to set aside time to praise God set aside time to pray to God set aside time to put his word in you. Amen Zechariah 8:13 it shall come to pass that as ye were a curse among the heathen will I save you and you shall be a blessing fear not but let your hands be. Strong zach u I am determined to do you good and we looked at the examples of shadrach meshach and abednego but I want us to be reminded of the example of Joseph Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers he worked as a slave for potier he was wrongfully imprisoned.

▶ 9:59 Joseph was treated like a slave among the heathen God brought him out of prison and he became second in command under pharaoh of Egypt and so Joseph lived this. Situation he had a problem in his life he was sold he was treated like a curse he was sold into slavery by his family he was wrongly accused by aer’s wife and put into prison but God saw all this and he had a plan for him I will save you and you shall be a blessing so Joseph went through all that and God brought him out and made him a blessing for all of Egypt for his family and for other nations as well and that’s what God can.

▶ 10:57 Do that’s what God wants to do for the what for who’s this for the remnant we’ve got to get past just believing we want to move past that let your hands be strong Joseph in the prison they didn’t know that he was a prisoner the baker and the the butler were like oh this worker here a who’s this guy he’s a worker they didn’t know Joseph was a prisoner why because his hands were strong and he worked and he and he he just kept going he wasn’t sitting and sulking in his cell he was active and working can you believe. That I am determined to do you good and God did good in Joseph’s life later he became second in command he was able to have a family a wife and two kids and God blessed him.

▶ 12:03 We learned in Zechariah 8:16 what God is asking us to do and he it says that we should speak truth to our neighbor that means do not lie it also means that we want to uh know the truth we do the truth ourselves and we also speak the truth somebody comes up to you and says that that you’re a somebody comes to me and says I’m a woman I’m going to say no I’m not the truth is God made me a male amen these are the you know the tr what is the truth and you can say the truth in love and you can say people need to hear the truth but also with your children with your family with people we can’t lie to one another execute the judgment of truth and peace it’s important that in your life you make good judgment Jesus said judge right.

▶ 13:13 Judgment we talked about the good judgment of keeping sex in the marriage and keeping intoxication out of your life number four let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor people harbor resentment unforgiven forgiveness hate revenge for others and the remnant get rid of these things the remnant understand that vengeance is the lord’s amen you can’t sit around having some vengeful hate toward somebody that hurt you the remnant get over these things they don’t think what evil in their heart against their neighbor and even somebody who has hurt them do not love a false. Oath we don’t take God’s name in vain Leviticus 19:12 you shall swear by my name you shall not swear my by my name falsely nor shall you profane the name of the Lord you don’t say oh yes I’m going to serve you or yes I’m going to Christian oh yes I’m a I’m the best Christian and you’re a stinker.

▶ 14:30 Amen we don’t. Swear uh we don’t make this false oath toward. God and in closing this message in Genesis ch 126 we want to remind you let us it says let us make man in our image according to our likeness we have been made in the image of God and there are and it says also according to the likeness and and it says it says us and it says our I want to point that out because it’s talking about God Jesus they were there at the beginning Genesis 1 this is the first chapter of Genesis God and Jesus are there the Holy Spirit is there let us make man in our image according to our likeness they’re.

▶ 15:22 There that they would have dominion over all the earth. The earth should not have dominion over. Us you know people are addicted to drugs and things from the earth and they don’t have dominion over and that shouldn’t be we’ve got to have dominion over these things should not rule over us alcohol has dominion over people it should not be we have been created to have dominion over those. Things second Peter 14 God has given us great promises through these promises we may be partakers of the divine. Nature and so we have so much potential we’ have been made in his image we’ve been made in his likeness and we are you know when we come out of that womb and we grow up and we’re adults we have we have so much.

▶ 16:22 Potential we’ve been made in his image and in his likeness. There’s you know we’re not going to be creators you know we’re not gods okay but we are made in his image. Uh and Revelations ch 3:16 says so then because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot I will vomit you out of my mouth and I just bring up this scripture because it shares in Revelations the three different types of Christians three different types of ways that we get. Into and that is cold warm and hot I got a little picture here see the guy over there he’s got frosty hair cold warm and hot I mean the problem is the the cold guy and the lukewarm guy they look like they’re doing pretty good I need like a frozen guy that’s what I’m looking for and a lukewarm guy that he just looks too comfortable I just got to say.

▶ 17:30 Matthew 24:11 many pro false prophets will rise up and deceive many be and because lawlessness will abound the love of many will grow. Cold and so as Christians our love for God can grow. Cold. Amen because lawlessness abounds we’re living in a time where lawlessness is. Abundant and chris Christians are looking at the people that are lawless and they’re saying well nothing happens to them why can’t I be like. That or we get upset about it or we get influenced to follow after the kingdom of darkness or our own. Flesh there’s so many reasons you can come up with but you’ve got to decide is your love going to grow cold or not.

▶ 18:33 Revelation 2:4 you have forsaken your first love in the scriptures Jesus was asked what is the first and great commandment and Jesus replied the first and the greatest thing that we can do the first and greatest commandment is what to love God with all your heart all your mind soul and strength and so our mouth what comes out of our mouth what is done in our behavior our behavior what we do with our hands our legs our feet our time our money all this stuff should reflect our love for. God. Amen amen it’s very important what comes out of our mouths remember what it says in James the tongue is a fire we can bless and we can curse we want to get our tongue tamed by God.

▶ 19:34 Amen Ephesians 4:18 they are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts and so our heart can also get hard which is that coldness right that coldness makes uh if you get to a certain temperature you can freeze something right everybody if you go home you have a fridge and you have a freezer and you go to grab something oh and the ham falls on your foot ow it’s frozen it’s hard nothing’s going to get in it you can’t chew it you can’t eat it uh you could if you take off a little piece so how is your heart grown cold hard and numb toward the Bible end his truth.

▶ 20:30 We don’t want to be like that this train here is the Union Pacific Big Boy it can pull up to 3600 tons or 7.2 million pounds you could check my math on that 2,000 time 3600 7.2 million pounds it can pull this weight over the water wasach I don’t know how to say that was mountains at 30 mph and so you see here this train has been created right and it has all this potential but a cold train can you tell me how much a cold train can. Pull you can’t tell me that’s right zero there’s nothing going on it can’t pull anything.

▶ 21:29 It has to it has to push that piston back and forth and move those wheels if it’s cold what do you got. Nothing can you tell me how fast a co cold train can. Go zero miles per hour can the whistle. Blow. No and so all that potential is just going to sit there and r and it’s the same way as a Christian when we get cold we are susceptible and vulnerable to rusting and that rust destroying us but remember there is a message of restoration no matter what has happened in your life.

▶ 22:22 But we don’t want to become cold Luke 7:47 therefore I tell you her many sins have been forgiven as her great love has shown but whoever has been forgiven little loves. Little and so these lukewarm people are people that love little have you ever been in a relationship where you were loved little by someone or maybe you loving. Little just a little bit h yeah I’m marri I’m married to him but you know he’s he’s all right she’s. Okay I kind of like her I’m just waiting for them to. Die and that’s how we treat God if it’s not convenient I’ll pass I’ll go to his house on Easter and Christmas I’ll open this book you know if the if if the stars align.

▶ 23:29 You know first thing I got to choose check the horoscope okay I’m looking okay this this lineup is not good today I cannot open God’s. Word I have so much going on right now are you a Christian oh yes I believe in. Jesus and lukewarm Christians say that they love you with their mouth but they don’t love you with their behavior and their actions their actions do not back up their words and they’re just using you from what they for what they want from you and are we using. God are we just using. Him that’s what lukew Christians do they just use God they have no intention of loving him they have no intention of seeking after him obeying following him giving them serving serving God serving God you want me to serve you excuse.

▶ 24:40 Me women’s rights men’s. Rights I’m not serving nobody well you know then don’t don’t get in a relationship with God there’s a lot of serving going on believe it or not did you know that. Matthew 158 these people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me they worship me in vain their teachings are merely human. Rules oh my goodness so much lukewarmness. Here 1 Corinthians 13:5 even these lukewarm guys look really. Good it does not dishonor others it is not self-seeking it is not easily angered it keeps no records of wrongs and so we have here again talking about love because that’s what 1 Corinthians 13 is talking about.

▶ 25:40 Love someone who is a lo loves God or loves their neighbor is not easily. Angered and so if this is something we can improve that’s our love for God grows amen when Peter and Paul uh and the disciples are in the prison and God they’re in there because of God well God put me here oh my goodness God was wrong with you they could have got mad at God. Right they could have got mad at each other but they love God and they love their neighbor and see when you are at the peak you’re not easily. Angered Proverbs 12:16 fools show their annoyance at once but the prudent overlook an insult a person’s wisdom makes him slow to anger wisdom wise people are slow to what anger slow to speak slow to.

▶ 26:43 Wrath and his glory is to overlook an offense we’re not harboring. Anything you’re not harboring resentment unforgiveness. Because you have what. Love and so God wants to develop us he wants to develop our love for his house for his kingdom for his people for him to a place where we are immovable how many want to be like that amen yes 1 John 2:15 do not love the world or anything in the world if anyone loves the world the love of the father is not in them for everything in the world the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes the pride of life comes not from the father but from the world this guy right here he’s looking good my goodness he looks good but he’s got a love for the world he’s got the Bible on the bar table you know ham me the next drink.

▶ 27:55 Buddy but he has a love for the world and that’s not. Good this is what the world does we don’t want to do what the world does we want to grow in our love and and and copy what who does what Christ and the father. Does if you’re sing to yourself well how do I know if I’m growing a God are you acting like the father are you acting like. Christ and so the lukewarm. If you look at the train again their whistle is. Blowing I’m a Christian but they haven’t left the station everybody’s on the train.

▶ 28:49 They all got on the passenger train he’s got cargo he’s like wait a second what do you want me to do now I can’t pull this train and then they got to get old Big Boy. Out they can’t climb the hill can’t pull a heavy load can you lighten the load please sorry not not feeling that. Today not even close to operating at full capacity you know the lukewarm they they have a big range okay there’s a lot going on you can love the world you can be offended you don’t have a lot of there’s a big range in there so it’s it’s very easy to be caught in that because we’re all. Uh in a different stage of growth amen but no matter where you are in your stage of growth you can still be on fire for God just don’t let your fire wayne.

▶ 29:45 Amen and so here you got. The all these pictures got these handsome men up here I’m distracting the little ladies this morning Matthew chapter 3 11 he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and what fire how many need that fire in you this morning yes we need that fire in us amen acts chap 2:11 we hear them speaking in our tongues the wonderful works of God so what do these on fire people do they speak what the wonderful works of God what is coming out of our mouth amen it’s so important my wife was is reminding me michael death and life are in the power in the tongue. Amen what we say is so important what you say to your children what you say to your spouse what you say to your neighbor what you say to people here in the church what you say to God what’s coming out of your mouth.

▶ 30:50 So they were all amazed and perplexed saying to one another whatever could this mean Psalms 39:3 my heart grew hot within me while I meditated the fire burned then I spoke with my tongue we need the spirit of God we need the fire that comes with it the hot speak the mighty works of God the hot speak the mighty word of God. And so here you have the hot. Train the hot train says that mountain I can climb that. Mountain that hot train is fighting the good fight the whistle works too and this is a real whistle watch out the hot train’s coming he’s pulling a heavy load he’s delivering cargo and passengers to the destination and operating at full capacity how many want to be a hot train a train with that.

▶ 32:11 Fire we got to let Jesus make us a new creature a new. Creation we have our identity uh that we have h have made ourselves up to this day today but Jesus still still wants to change who you are he still wants to mold you more like him and as the Psalms say I will not be satisfied until I awake in his likeness and so we’ve got to keep letting God transform us and make us a new. Person 1 Corinthians 13. 11 when I was a child I spoke as a child as the worship team comes I spoke as a child I understood as a child I thought as a child but when I became a man I put away childish.

▶ 33:22 Things children are into themselves I hate to say it kids but you are. They get offended children you know and that’s okay kids don’t understand right when you say here you know here can you work and be responsible and and get a job they’re like what are you talking about hand me over the toy. Please they don’t understand it when you uh ask them to pay for something uh they’re they don’t understand money they don’t understand the cost of things oh dad can I have a a rolls-royce please. Dad just go buy a house what are you. Doing they don’t understand the cost and so we want to make that transition we want to make that growth amen 1 John 2:14 I have written to you young men and young.

▶ 34:18 Women because you are what. Strong and the word of God abides in you and you have overcome the wicked one are we strong this. Morning do we have that fire in us do we have that what’s this says the word of God abiding in us not just uh a touch or a fleeting oh something about for God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son I heard somebody say that somewhere that is that the word of God that divid no we’re talking about get that Bible into you. The word of God abides in you and you have overcome the wicked one and we’ve taught you how you can overcome the wicked one in your life Revelations chapter 3: 21 to him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on my throne as I also overcame and sat down with my father on his throne see again Jesus is showing us again that we can be like him.

Not no something for I have overcome the world what is he say oh come on hit remind me of good be of good che. Here I have overcome the world that’s right Jesus has done it and we can do it because of him amen amen so let’s respond this morning wherever you’re at if you feel you’re cold if you feel you’re warm if you feel you’re hot hey you know what to do if you’re hot if you’re warm come on down to the front if you’re warm you got to seek God this morning.

▶ 36:28 You got to start making some changes you got to start asking God let make him make you a new creation amen amen we’ve got to keep pushing on that door the kingdom of God suffers. Jesus I encourage you exercise every form of praise this morning you can sing you can shout you can you can lift your hands you can bow this morning you can stand in his presence but let us come and use every form of praise and adoration to God this. Jesus yes go I just felt impressed in my heart as I was praying that um the Lord wants to remind us that his love language is obedience yes Jesus said if you love me obey my commandments and I the Lord just impress upon my heart that if we want to cash in on his promises that we need to be obedient to his commandments that that is the interaction that we can’t just give him lip service that we must be obedient to his commandments if we love him because he has good plans for us to prosper us and not to harm us but that promise comes.

God someone pray for the fire this morning that God would stir up our hearts that God would stir up that fire maybe a little poking is all that is needed in that fire to reignite to start a blaze going again maybe it’s just some wood that needs to be added lift up your voice and pray this morning for God’s.

▶ 49:12 People Lord today maybe it’s just. Honesty Lord maybe it’s just coming before you in honesty and saying Lord as was prayed and as was spoken I’m not not as obedient as I should be Lord and I ask you today Jesus that you will set a fire in my heart of obedience and a true a true commitment Lord I admit I am so busy and scattered in so many ways Lord that I have forsaken my first love Jesus and I feel it Lord and I don’t like it and I ask to. Today oh God that you be the first thing in my mind and in my heart when I wake up in the morning Lord and I can’t wait to get into your presence and into your word Jesus and I pray that for all of us Lord we are entering a new day and a new season and God is commanding men God is commanding people to repent and those things he has overlooked in Christians and in people he will no longer overlook it is time Lord it is time and I sense it it is time for.

▶ 50:36 Obedience it is better than the sacrifice of singing it’s better than the sacrifice of the lips Lord obedience is what you desire Lord so be it onto me according to your word be it unto us today according to your word word oh Lord you are the one that we need that we may abide in you continually yes Jesus. I wanted to share one more thing I just I just remember this and I have to believe that it is God who’s showing me this yesterday I went to the the new gym the el and the trainer is telling me what are my goals right for fitness and I told them I have my routine that I always do because it’s easy for me I am already strong in those muscles and I just go and do what I want to do and he well that’s not that’s not going to help you grow you had to come out of your comfort zone and do the things that are not easy for you the things that are uncomfortable for you if you want to move up if you want to grow if you want to develop new muscle you keep doing the same thing because you’re comfortable in it you need to come out of your comfort zone and do the things you don’t want to do make you feel uncomfortable and you know a lot of times as Christians we are

▶ 53:55 like going to the gym as you know spiritual um doing spiritual disciplines right going to the gym as a discipline for our bodies it profits little but you know spiritual growth profits a lot but sometimes we keep doing the same thing we worship God in the same way you know because that’s what comes easy to us whether it is singing whether it is whatever it is that we do that is easy to us and I just thought the Lord reminding me that if we want to grow in our spirit we must um be involved in spiritual disciplines that feel uncomfortable for us in order to grow to the next level of our spiritual growth so in the same way do those things that come difficult to you maybe you don’t like to get up at 5: in the morning to pray but maybe that’s what he’s calling you to do you know because he wants to grow you in a certain way maybe there’s certain disciplines like fasting that we don’t like to do but that’s wants you to do to grow and to get to the next level of your spiritual maturity and growth so that’s just remind the Lord remind me that got right amen yes yes amen yes amen and let’s close we’re going to sing this one more time this song is perfect I don’t know how I missed this song for this message but uh this is exactly the one.
