From the sermonThe Fifth Group, Part 1 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Continuing his present truth series, Pastor David G. Kincer reviews the marks of the last days and adds citizens as the fifth necessary but risky group, showing from Jotham, Pilate and Felix that corrupt citizens can bring judgment and manipulate government. He traces God correcting corrupt people from the flood to Sodom, Canaan and the golden calf, and answers critics that God is a King, Judge and Father doing His job.

Should Christians be troubled when someone says the Lord’s coming is at hand? (2 Thessalonians 2:2-3)

▶ Watch this part (1:02)

Short answer: He says followers of Christ will be hated and mistreated by all nations until the end, “so if you’re a Christian and you get it mistreated just buck up.” He says don’t be troubled or shaken by people saying the Lord’s coming is at hand: “nobody knows the day or the hour,” and there had to be a falling away first, which he says happened in the dark ages.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:02 Followers are hated and persecuted of all nations if you follow Christ and do good people don’t like you and they will mistreat you and talk about you and all nations until the end so if you’re a Christian and you get it mistreated just buck up God promised that was going to happen if you’re doing good if you’re not doing good the Bible says there’s no profit in that when you’re mistreated. 2 Thessalonians 2:2 says don’t be troubled and shaken also in Matthew and Luke when somebody tells you that the time of the lord’s coming is at hand he said don’t be troubled and shaken nobody knows the day or the hour they don’t know what they’re talking about there has to be a falling away first and we found that that happened in the dark ages.

not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

What other marks of the last days does he list? (Acts 3:19; Daniel 12:4; Acts 1:6-7)

▶ Watch this part (1:56)

Short answer: He lists times of refreshing and restoration, knowledge increasing, Israel becoming a nation again in 1948, the gospel preached to all nations with signs and wonders, and evil men waxing worse and worse. He says anyone who claims to know a date, year or month is lying: “nobody knows but God himself so relax.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:56 There are times of refreshing and restoration of all things Acts 3:19 and we’ve showed you some of those and I’m sure there’s more to come. Knowledge shall increase Daniel 12:4 God knew about the coal in the ground the oil in the ground the gas in the ground and he knew about electricity way before mankind did he just opened their understanding to all these things than these last few centuries and knowledge has increased and is increasing rapidly. Israel would become a nation again Acts 1:6 and various verses. Throughout the Bible and in 1948 Israel became a nation again living in the last days.

▶ 2:44 Mark 13 and Acts 1:6 no one knows the day or the hour the times or the season which the father has put in his own hand when these prophets are telling you they know a date they know a year they know a month they are lying nobody knows but God himself so relax don’t be troubled by these peoples saying you know these things are happening here and this is happening there and relax don’t let that stuff shake you up the gospel will be preached to all nations as a witness with signs and wonders backing it up we have not seen that on a global scale we have seen it in regional scales but not on a global scale.

▶ 3:39 Evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived and. If you read your newspaper or watch the news on tv or listen to it on radio you know that this is happening in our generation. Last week we talked to you about four necessary but risky present-day truths. Number one government number two law enforcement number three military and number four judicial system they’re all necessary but they are risky these very leaders we found lead us astray and bring. The judgment of God upon a nation.

Who is the fifth group that is necessary but risky, and can good government save corrupt citizens? (2 Chronicles 27:1-2)

▶ Watch this part (4:36)

Short answer: He says after government, law enforcement, military and the judicial system, the fifth group is citizens. He says good government did not save corrupt citizens from God’s judgment: King Jotham did right, but the people of Judah did corruptly, and the Lord sent enemies against Judah because of the corruption of the citizens.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:36 The fifth dimension we’re going to add. The fifth element the fifth group is. Citizens if a government doesn’t have any citizens to rule over and make judges for and enforce laws. They’re not necessary. So citizens are the fifth dimension of. Necessary. Present-day truths but risky. Good government. Didn’t save corrupt citizens from God’s judgment even if the government’s good and the citizens are bad and the Bible it didn’t save the people from God’s judgment in second chronicles 21 verse 1 King Jotham,

▶ 5:33 Uzziah’s son did right in the sight of the Lord all of his reign by the way he stayed steady stay consistent. But the Judeans the people the citizens of Judah did yet corruptly they did wickedly even though they had a king making right [unclear] living right doing right for the nation the citizens didn’t follow him and they did wickedly and corruptly. 2 Kings 15:34 in those days the Lord began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the king of Israel the northern kingdom through war and then they took several hundred thousand captive.

Can citizens influence government to make bad decisions? (Mark 15:15; Acts 24:27)

▶ Watch this part (6:30)

Short answer: He says “government isn’t always wrong the people can be wrong,” and corrupt citizens can influence leaders to make bad decisions. He says Pilate found no fault in Jesus but, willing to content the people, delivered Him to be crucified, and Felix left Paul bound to please the Jews: “The crowd. Manipulated the government to make a very bad decision.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:30 Because of the corruption of the citizens you can’t blame government here government isn’t always wrong the people can be wrong. So we got to understand also that corrupt citizens may influence government leaders to make bad decisions they can influence government leaders to make bad decisions and in America they do influence government leaders to make bad decision wicked decisions in Mark 15:15 Pilate. They brought Jesus to Pilate to be judged and be put to death and Pilate could find no fault with Jesus signifying that he was the perfect sacrifice lamb for the sins of the world and he told the people I find no fault in this man Jesus why do you want to crucify him let me give you his freedom at this time of year we always release a criminal and they said no we don’t want Jesus released we want Barabbas released and so Pilate willing to content the people willing to favor the people.

▶ 7:54 So they would vote for him [unclear] they delivered Jesus after he beat him to be crucified. The crowd. Manipulated the government to make a very bad decision. Acts 24:27 Paul was brought before Felix and the Jews brought him before Felix because they wanted him killed they wanted him murdered because he taught. The Jews are religionists. Ok and both of these accounts Mark 15:15 and Acts 24:27 the religionists they got their little religion they sinned but they want to know their ok going to heaven and you know they know God even though their sinning and they won’t change.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 15:15 (NKJV)

So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be crucified.

Acts 24:27 (NKJV)

But after two years Porcius Festus succeeded Felix; and Felix, wanting to do the Jews a favor, left Paul bound.

— Acts 24:27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:15

What is a religionist, and who is influencing government today?

▶ Watch this part (8:54)

Short answer: He says religionists sin but want to know they are going to heaven and won’t change; they make up their own rules and want to shut up those who preach the truth like Jesus and Paul. He says many groups today are almost united in influencing government to pass bad laws, and “unknowledgeable untaught Christians are supporting. These bad decisions.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:54 That’s what a religion is it they make up their own rules and. They live by their own rules and when somebody comes in preaching the truth like Jesus and Paul they don’t like it they want to shut him up and. So Felix wanting to do the Jews a favor you wanted to please the Jews left Paul bound judged him and Paul appealed of course to Caesar and he went to Caesar’s court and so we see clearly even in the Bible days the citizens could manipulate government to make bad decisions and that’s exactly what’s happening in America today. Homosexuals humanists liberals atheists religionists hedonist socialist free thinkers are almost united in influencing our American government.

Why did God send the flood? (Genesis 6:5, 11)

▶ Watch this part (9:55)

Short answer: He says the wickedness of man was great and every imagination of his thoughts was evil continually; mankind was corrupt, the earth was filled with violence, and men took as many wives as they desired. He says God came and destroyed the citizens of the earth with a flood.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:55 Supreme Court justices to pass bad laws and approve bad laws as we seen just recently and the sad thing is unknowledgeable untaught Christians are supporting. These bad decisions. Let’s take a look at God correcting corrupt people in Genesis 6 we have the story of the flood the Bible says that with the wickedness of man was great in the earth every imagination of his thoughts was as evil continually. Mankind was corrupt wicked and vile and the earth was filled with violence and they took wives as many as they desired it seems like the women always reap the brunt of an evil society yeah.

What were the sins of Sodom? (Genesis 13:13)

▶ Watch this part (10:51)

Short answer: He says the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked sinners before the Lord, and homosexuality was part of those sins, but “it was just part of the problem” since Lot’s other daughters were married to men in Sodom. He says God rained fire and brimstone to bring correction to those cities.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:51 You got three daughters and then you know they reach the shapely age and here comes some guy nah I want to be my wife it take takes all three of it didn’t stop at one and. Violence. Covered the earth harming people killing people and God of course came and destroyed the citizens of the earth with a flood and. Genesis 19 chapter 19. Talks about Sodom and Gomorrah and in Genesis 13:13 it says the males the men of Sodom were wicked sinners above above everyone exceedingly about wicked wicked sinners before the law and homosexuality was part of those sins it was part because we know that Lot’s other two daughters were married to men and Sodom, so it wasn’t like the city was given totally to homosexuality it was just part of the problem and.

Why did God wait 400 years to judge Canaan? (Genesis 15:13-16)

▶ Watch this part (12:08)

Short answer: He says God told Abraham his seed would go to Egypt for 400 years because the iniquity of the Amorites was not yet complete. “God gave Canaan land 400 years to change their way,” and then corrected them through Israel.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:08 God of course rained fire and brimstone to deal and correct bring correction to those cities. Israel and Genesis 15:15. Abraham was living in Canaan land and God came to him says you know I’m going to send your seed down to Egypt for 400 years now God had promised Canaan land to Abraham but God came to Abraham and said I’m going to postpone this for 400 years and Israel your offspring will come back and you’ll defeat Canaan for the iniquity of the Amorite another word for the Canaanites is not yet complete God gave Canaan land 400 years to change their way and then Israel come out and through war defeated them and God corrected them through Israel.

Does God correct corrupt citizens and nations? (Exodus 32)

▶ Watch this part (13:13)

Short answer: He says when the people asked Aaron for other gods, three thousand were executed by the Levites and more were killed by a plague God brought for correction. He also names Herod, Nebuchadnezzar and the Assyrian army, and says God predicted empires would rise and end: “he raises up nations he brings down nations.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:13 Exodus 32 coming out of Egypt Moses goes to the top of the mountain to meet with God God’s talking to him face-to-face and giving him the ten commandments he’s gone for some time and the people gathered themselves together here’s over 2 million people and. They come to Aaron the one that Moses left in charge and they said hey make us God we don’t know what happened to Moses we don’t even know if he’s coming back we want other gods to lead us and when Moses came down three thousand of them were executed by the levites and more were killed by the plague that God brought for correction and so we see clearly that God corrects corrupt citizens remember he smote Herod with worms he smote Nebuchadnezzar with craziness the guy went looney, ate grass and stayed out in the fields and his hair grew like feathers for a certain time period he went nuts and remember the AsSyrians who God used to correct the northern kingdom of Israel when those AsSyrians came against Judah and Jerusalem God slew [unclear] a hundred and eighty-five thousand

▶ 14:44 and one night they just woke up the next morning see God brings correction he even uses evil people to correct evil people and he still brings correction so. Let me also remind you that God predicted the kingdom of Babylon the kingdom of Syria the kingdom of Persia the kingdom of Greece and the kingdom of Rome he predicted before they came that they would come and he paraded predicted that they would end their empire would not last and they did and let me ask you this question what empire what nation on the earth ancient nation has stayed a nation until this present day. Is God a hater, or a King, Judge and Father? (Proverbs 13:24; Hebrews 12:9-10)

▶ Watch this part (15:38)

Short answer: He answers opponents who call God a hater and the Bible violent: God is a king, a judge, a military captain, an enforcer and a father. He says “he who spares his rod hates his son,” and God the Father has a right to correct His children for our profit, to be partakers of His holiness.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 15:38 Because of God’s correction he raises up nations he brings down nations. So. Opponents say God is a hater God is a killer of innocent women and children he God is violent the Bible is a violent book the Bible’s a bigoted book a book I hate that’s what the opponents say but I submit to you opponents you humanists you socialist you liberals you hedonist you free thinkers your religionists I submit this to you God is a king the Bible says God is a judge the Bible says God is a military leader captain he is an enforcer.

▶ 16:34 The Bible says and he is a father. So. Proverbs 13:24 for example he who spares his rod hates his son you don’t discipline your kids you hate your kid I don’t care how much you say you love him you don’t like him he who loves his son his child children will discipline correct them promptly and many times. Okay that’s what a father does God the father and he has a right to come and correct his children. It says it more clearly in Hebrews 12:9 shall we not be in submission to the father of spirits. He chastens us for our profit to be partakers of his holiness and bring forth the peaceable fruit of righteousness.

Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

— Hebrews 12:9-11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:11

Was God right to destroy Sodom? (Genesis 18:25)

▶ Watch this part (17:30)

Short answer: He says God told Abraham He would spare the city for ten righteous, but they found three and a half, and Lot’s wife turned back and became a pillar of salt: “It doesn’t pay to be halfway.” He says God destroyed Sodom because it was right, and when God corrects citizens or government “he’s just doing his job.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 17:30 [unclear] God. Corrects his people he is a father he’s not some loose cannon out there a. Father does his job he raises up his kids in the way they should go you know raise up on the way they shouldn’t go so God is doing his job Genesis 18:25 Abraham is is interceding for Sodom and Gomorrah and he says God if there’s ten righteous in the city will you save the city from this destruction and God said yes if there’s ten righteous I’ll save it I’ll spare the city so the angels went down there and they found three and a half. Lot’s wife changed her mind she’s going out of the city and she saying they’re mine and she’s got two daughters back in the city and she’s thinking well you know what’s wrong with homosexuality what’s wrong with something I what’s wrong with it and she turned around and went back and the overflow of Sodom and Gomorrah’s punishment turned her into a pillar of salt.

▶ 18:47 It doesn’t pay to be halfway you got to go all the way and. So God destroyed Sodom [unclear] because it was right he brought correction because it was right shall not the judge of the whole earth do right. A father as we’ve shown you corrects and punishes his children a judge passes proper sentence on evil criminals and corrects them a military a law enforcement, police and so forth they carry out the king or the judge’s decision to bring correction. And. When God correct citizens when God corrects government he’s just doing his job opponents he is just doing his job.

What are the five ways God brings correction? (Ezekiel 14:21)

▶ Watch this part (19:50)

Short answer: He says human government should be bringing correction so God doesn’t have to, so “quit blaming Jesus and quit blaming God and quit blaming the Bible.” He lists five corrections found in Ezekiel 14, Deuteronomy 28, Matthew 24 and Luke 21: acts of God, wars, famines and economic downturns, plagues, and captivity, and says the nations still don’t turn to God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:50 The job I submit to you that human government should be doing and bringing correction so God doesn’t have to do these things so [unclear] quit blaming Jesus and quit blaming God and quit blaming the Bible. God is just doing his job and he does it as an example for us that we follow in his footsteps and bring correction in our life and to our children and so forth so. How does God do this there are five corrections. Five methods five ways God brings correction that are found in Ezekiel 14 they’re found in Deuteronomy 28 they’re found in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 the end time chapters.

▶ 20:48 Five corrections five judgments they gave you these last week want to bring it back to your remembrance number one acts of God number two wars number three famines. Economic downturns. Number four plagues sickness epidemics number five captivity you get removed or driven out of your nation your land your property and we took a look last week at at these things happening in the 20th century from 1900 to the year 2000 and we found that natural disasters killed three and a half million people we found that war including terrorists terrorism killed 87 million people directly famine.

▶ 21:42 Including recessions and depressions killed 99 million people plagues. Killed 100 million people and. Civil government which is not of God this isn’t God doing this is just civil government out of control kill. 262 million people in the 20th century according to 20th century atlas by Matthew White. And. Published in 2011 it’s called democide murder by government. The government just gets rid of their opponents for some reason and so we find that even though these things happen in.

▶ 22:37 The 20th century over a hundred year period and there were 33 million refugees that I could count a lot more I’m sure in other words people had to leave their land to get away from destruction and death we call them refugees today. Even after the refugee camps even after the plagues. Influenza aids other plagues. Even after 99 million dying from famine hunger and war 87 million. The nations don’t get it. They think is just normal activity. Instead of turning to God and calling on God they just keep doing worse and worse like the Bible said.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor note: his Jotham reference is captioned “2 Chronicles 21 verse 1”; the account of King Jotham is 2 Chronicles 27:1-2 (shown). He gives “2 Kings 15:34” for the Lord sending Rezin and Pekah against Judah, which is 2 Kings 15:37 (shown). The captions read “Acts 16” for Israel becoming a nation and for no one knowing the times; it is rendered “Acts 1:6” (Acts 1:6-7 shown). His figures (20th-century deaths and refugees from a 20th-century atlas, over 2 million people at Sinai) and his statements about homosexuals, humanists, liberals and other groups influencing the government and Supreme Court are his own and are not verified here. Several words are marked [unclear]. Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
