In this fourth session on present truth, Pastor David G. Kincer reviews eleven present truths about the last days and then examines the falling away. He describes how the medieval church fell away from the simplicity of Christ, the good news and godly living, and asks hearers to see how many of the same things are happening in Catholic and Protestant churches in America and Europe today, saying the remnant who keep God’s commandments are the hope.

What are the first present truths about the last days?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: He recaps that we are in the last days, which started in 33 AD and run until the day of the Lord: the days of salvation and the outpouring of God’s Spirit in Acts 2:16, more than one outpouring, and all who call on the Lord shall be saved. Present truth number two is that Jesus the Messiah, God, has come in the flesh.

▶ 0:00 Thank you for joining us in our fourth session of present truths out of second Peter 1:12. We are to be established in present truth. Ecclesiastes, you remember, says God has a purpose under heaven and he does it in certain seasons and certain times. And 1 Chronicles 12 tells us that the children of Issachar had understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do. Today we’re going to be looking at the falling away. First of all of review so that this gets in your cranial structure. The first present truth that we talked about were is that we’re in the last days which started in 33 AD till the day of the Lord when he comes. That’s also the days of salvation and the days of the pouring out of God’s spirit in Acts 2:16.

▶ 0:56 This is that which is spoken by the prophet Joel. Then in the last days I will pour out my spirit. Last days plural. There’ll be signs in heaven and in earth before the day singular one season of the Lord. I will pour out my spirit in those days. What days? The last day. So there’s more than one pouring out. And all who call on the Lord shall be saved. So the first present truth is we’re living in the last days. We don’t know how long they are. And these days are the days of salvation and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Present truth number two that we have taught Jesus the Messiah, the Christ, the prophet, the king and God has come in the flesh. 1 AD we’ll call it.

And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’

Who are the false prophets and antichrists, and why are believers persecuted?

▶ Watch this part (1:50)

Short answer: He says there are many false prophets and antichrists until Jesus returns, and false prophets are known mainly by saying sin is okay. He says Jesus’ followers are hated and persecuted till the end for three biblical reasons: preaching the kingdom of God and repentance, living godly, and simply believing in Jesus.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:50 We’re living in that season. Present truth number three. There are many false prophets and antichrist from 1 AD till Jesus returns. And we know that today some of our antichrists are Jews who don’t accept Christ coming in the flesh. Muslims who distort he didn’t die on the cross. Atheists, religionists, liberals, humanist, and communists are a few of the antichrists in the world today that we live in. False prophets, we know them mainly by them saying sin is okay. It’s okay that you sin for any reason, faith, grace, whatever. Present truth number four.

▶ 2:42 Jesus followers are hated and persecuted till the end. Okay, they were persecuted back there when Christ was here after Christ and the apostles. They’ve been persecuted all through and they’ll be persecuted till Jesus returns. The three biblical reasons for persecution is for preaching the kingdom of God and repentance. The second one is living godly. So you threaten their lifestyle. And the third one is simply believing in Jesus. If you are persecuted for doing wrong, the Bible says there’s no profit in it. There’s no reward in it. But the Bible acceptance of persecution is one of these three things. Okay? And mainly if you go out talking about repentance, people aren’t going to like it.

Has the falling away happened, and is it happening again?

▶ Watch this part (3:39)

Short answer: From Second Thessalonians 2:2-3 he says do not be shaken by claims that the day of Christ is at hand, because a falling away comes first. He says he will show that it has happened and give clues so you can decide whether it is happening again, and that false prophets troubling people with dates make a fortune off the church.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:39 Present truth number five, a season of falling away. We’re going to show you today that it has happened. We’re going to give you clues so you can decide, will it happen again or is it happening? Be not soon shaken. First 2 Thessalonians 2:2 in mind or troubled either by spirit or word nor by letter from us that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you for there shall come a falling away first. Okay. And what are the people doing? Of prophets. They’re destroy they’re troubling us with this Jesus is coming in a minute and predicting days and all the rest.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 (NKJV)

not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

— 2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:01

Why hasn’t Jesus come yet?

▶ Watch this part (4:30)

Short answer: He says present truth number six is that times of refreshing and the restoration of all things must come, and Jesus is retained in the heavens until then. He says the reason he did not come yesterday or today is that all things have not been restored: “just simple logic.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:30 And God’s people fall for it. And these false prophets make a fortune off of people in the church thinking that they have some kind of Revelation that God says we don’t have. Present truth number six. Times of refreshing and the restoration of all things must come. Jesus retained into the heavens until the restoration of all things in the times of refreshing. We’re going to show you in our next session how that has happened and possibly more will happen. And we got to remember when all things are restored, Jesus won’t be retained in the heavens anymore. He will come. So the reason he didn’t come any minute and he didn’t come today and he didn’t come yesterday is all things haven’t been restored.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 3:19-21 (NKJV)

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

— Acts 3:19-21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:49 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Is knowledge increasing as Daniel said?

▶ Watch this part (5:30)

Short answer: He says when you are down, get back up, because God will refresh and restore you. Present truth number seven is that knowledge will increase, beginning with the printing press in 1440, and Daniel was told the words are sealed until the time of the end, when the wise will understand.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:30 Just simple logic. Simple logic. Okay. So we are in the seasons of refreshing and restoration. Don’t you ever forget it. When you’re down, get back up. God will refresh you and he will restore you. Present truth number seven. Knowledge will increase. Daniel said in the time of the end. Uh knowledge has we’re going to show you and is still increasing beginning with the printing press in 1440. And he also tells us that the end time is shut up till the time of the end. See, Daniel said, I heard, but I understood not. And I asked, which shall be the end of these things?

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Daniel 12:4 (NKJV)

“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

— Daniel 12:8-10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:16 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Does anyone know the times and seasons of the end?

▶ Watch this part (6:22)

Short answer: He says present truth number eight is that Israel became a nation again in 1948, and number nine is that no one knows the times and seasons: Jesus said it is not for you to know, and in Mark 13:32 “no one knows the day or the hour.” So when people trouble you about the second coming, wars and tsunamis, do not be troubled.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:22 And the man said, the words are closed up and sealed to the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, that’s that salvation season, and tested. But the wicked will do wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand. The children of Issachar had understanding of the time. Present truth number eight. Israel became a nation again in 1948 after 2600 years of not being a nation. Present truth number nine. No one knows the times and the seasons. Is a present truth. We showed you that in Daniel. We shown it here in Acts. Will you at this time restore the restore the kingdom to Israel? Jesus said, “It’s not for you to know the times of the seasons which the father has put in his own authority.” Mark 13:32, “No one knows the day or the hour.” So when these people are troubling you with the second coming of the Lord and all these things and wars and and uh tsunamis and whatever, don’t be troubled.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 1:6-7 (NKJV)

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 13:32 (NKJV)

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

— Mark 13:32 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:18

Has the gospel been preached to all nations as a witness?

▶ Watch this part (7:33)

Short answer: He says present truth number ten is that the gospel as a witness to all nations has not been fulfilled, because if it had, Jesus would have come. He says all nations were not known until the 1500s, so those predicting the second coming before then did not understand God’s seasons.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 7:33 No one knows. We will know when it’s activated. When God activates it, we’ll start getting it. Present truth number 10, the gospel as a witness. Can’t leave that statement out. Preached to all nations has not been fulfilled yet because if it had Jesus would have come. That means all things would have been restored. And so the gospel as a witness has not been preached to all nations yet. And we didn’t even know all nations until the 1500s when the other continents were discovered. And people prophesying the second coming of Christ before that didn’t understand the seasons and the times that God has ordained to happen before he comes.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 24:14 (NKJV)

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

— Matthew 24:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:50 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Are wars and earthquakes signs of the end?

▶ Watch this part (8:24)

Short answer: He says present truth number eleven is wars, earthquakes, famines and plagues, but from Luke 21:11 and Mark 13:7 “the end is not yet.” He says they are not a sign of the second coming, and asks hearers to think, as he describes the medieval church, about how many of these things are happening in America and Europe since 1960.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:24 And that’s what these doomday prophets need to understand. We don’t understand. Relax. When it happens, it will happen. Uh then present truth number 11 is there will be wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, plagues. These are all present truths, but it is not a sign of the end. Luke 21:11, Mark 13:7, Wars, earthquakes, famine, pestilences, fearful sights, and great signs from heaven, but the end is not yet. Don’t be troubled, for such things must need be. The end shall not be yet.

▶ 9:17 So yes, we’re living in the seasons where these things are going to happen and they have happened and they will keep happening, but they are not a sign of the second coming of Jesus Christ. Plain English in the Bible. All right? And these people that’s trying to trouble us, say, you know, that they know all this stuff and they got all this Revelation. They don’t got anything. No one has because it’s sealed up until the time of the end. Now, as we look at the falling away and the medieval times, the medieval church, I want you to think as we address these issues about how many are happening in America and Europe since 1960.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 21:9-11 (NKJV)

But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.” Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.

— Luke 21:9-11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:58
Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 13:7 (NKJV)

But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.

— Mark 13:7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:59

What is the church falling away from?

▶ Watch this part (10:10)

Short answer: He says we fall away from the simplicity of Christ, who said repent from evil works and do good works, by adding our own doctrines and opinions. He compares medieval special clothes, last rites, purgatory, Latin services and praying to Mary with modern “once saved always saved,” “no hell,” psychology, false science and apologetics, saying the modern church is doing things just like it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:10 Okay, we’re going to show you the church condition in the medieval times. And you think about the knowledge you have of how many of these things are happening in America and Europe since the 1960s. First, I want to remind you what they’re falling away from. We’re falling away from the simplicity of Christ. The Bible says, you know, Christ is simple. Christ said, “Repent from evil works and do good works.” Not complicated at all. We start complicating things by coming up with our own doctrines and our own opinions and our own ideas. So in f— 500 AD, church leaders started wearing special clothes, special gown, special hats. All right?

▶ 11:02 Today they still wear many of them special clothes. Clothes has nothing to do with anything. We’re supposed to be clothed with righteousness. All right. Last rites. Do these last rites, man. You’ll make it in because we got to you before you died. The Protestants make it easier. Once saved, always saved. Hey, I don’t even need a last rite. Anytime it happens, I’m ready cuz nothing could take away my salvation. We We just made it even smoother. Purgatory, that temporary abiding place of punishment, then you get to go to heaven. Protestants, they just make it much easier. There is no hell. There’s no hell, there’s no purgatory or hell is on earth. Now, we just we we got some funny doctrines, Latin services where you can’t understand the word of God.

▶ 11:58 Okay? And praying to Mary in 600 AD. We uh just make it more fancy. We use psychology instead of the Bible. We use uh false science telling us that evolution’s in and the Bible creation’s out instead of the Bible. We use apologetics trying to figure out the crow twice or the crow three times or did the king really 8 years old or was he 18? If you’ve had an encounter with God, that will not bother you at all. When you haven’t had an encounter with God, you need apologetics trying to solve your problems. So, we mock the medieval church, but the modern church is doing things just like it. Now, again, falling away from the two greatest laws to love God and your neighbor as yourself.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV)

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

— 2 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:31 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

How did the medieval church put people in place of Christ?

▶ Watch this part (12:54)

Short answer: He says the whole Bible is summed up in loving God and your neighbor. In 607 AD they made the first pope, though the Bible says “call no man father,” putting a human being in place of Christ, and later kissed the pope’s feet and worshiped images and relics. He says today we worship authors and music groups and sell holy water and prayer cloths in another disguise.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:54 On this the whole law and the prophets hang. This sums up the law and the prophets. The whole Bible summed up in these commandments to love God, do no harm to God, do no harm to others, and do no harm to yourself. 607 AD, they make the first pope. The Bible says, “Call no man father.” Pope means father. They make the first pope, the father of the church. Jesus is supposed to be the head of the church, but we can’t handle that. So, we make a human being in place of Christ. They’re always trying to substitute something for Christ. Many of these popes were killed and many killed other popes to get the position. Doesn’t sound very spiritual. 709 AD, they kissed the pope’s feet. They started worshiping a man.

▶ 13:48 But today we worship authors. We worship music groups. We worship music. We just put a fancy description on it. 786 worshipping of images and relics. And in 18850 rather AD the use of holy water. Well, you know these TV evangelists, radio evangelists, man, you send us a hundred bucks, we’ll send you Jordan water river that will heal you and just make you spiritual or olive oil from Jordan or as prayer cloth that we’ve prayed over. You put it under your husband’s pillow and he’ll get saved. And we laugh at the Catholics, but us Protestants do the same thing in another disguise. 950 AD praying to dead saints.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 22:37-40 (NKJV)

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

— Matthew 22:37-40 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:54 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 23:9 (NKJV)

Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.

— Matthew 23:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:14 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What happened when priestly celibacy was imposed?

▶ Watch this part (14:42)

Short answer: He says Protestants who would not pray to dead saints still ask dead Christians and their peers. He says celibacy of the priesthood in 1079 AD was a joke, with priests committing gross sexual sins and abortions, and says the same things are going on today in Catholic and Protestant churches and in America and Europe.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:42 Pray means to ask. Well, Pentecostals and uh and Protestants, they wouldn’t dare pray to dead saints. They just ask dead dead Christians. They just ask their peers who don’t know beans about anything. 1079 AD, celibacy of the priesthood. That was a joke. The priests were committing homosexuality, incest, child sex, adultery. They were aborting the when they had sex with the nuns, they would abort the baby after it was born or they would hit him in the stomach and beat him hoping it would abort. And we have the same thing today. Catholics are still molesting children. Homosexuality is rampant in and and we’re accepting it in Protestant and Catholic churches. Incest is rampant in America and Europe. Abortion, we’re just doing it before they’re born and without the beating.

How did the church fall away from the good news and discipleship?

▶ Watch this part (15:36)

Short answer: He says the church fell away from making disciples of all nations to indulgences for the pardon of sin, and today trinkets, prayer cloths and holy water support TV ministers’ lifestyles. He calls transubstantiation an extreme teaching and says we have our own extreme doctrines, such as refusing medicine, that need to be questioned and changed.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 15:36 But it’s all still going on. And then persecution. Uh doing harm to others and murdering them and killing them. They slaughtered just masses of people. Next, we’re going to look at falling away from the good news of Jesus and good works and discipleship. Go and make disciples of all nations. We fell away to indulgences. For pardon of sin. You pay the church money or you go fight in the crusades, your sins will be forgiven. You skate right into heaven. We sell trinklets, as I said before, prayer cloths, holy water for healing and prayers to support the TV ministry and the lifestyle of the TV ministers.

▶ 16:29 They drive Rolls-Royces and have private airplanes while we drive Volkswagen. Transubstantiation is just an extreme teaching of the communion table. They say that God and Jesus or Jesus and this blood are really the cup is the blood and the bread is Jesus. But we have our own extreme doctrines. There is segments of the church that won’t have do medicine because that’s an act of non-belief and they let their kids die. We have a segment of the church that won’t let women cut their hair or wear makeup. Uh, and I can go on and on. We got our own extreme things that we need to evaluate and question and and and and change. Then they in 1215 AD, same year, confess your sins to the priest for forgiveness.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

— Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:01 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Who can forgive sin, and is any church leader infallible?

▶ Watch this part (17:25)

Short answer: He says the Bible plainly says only Jesus can forgive sin, while Protestants confess and go right ahead and sin. He says tradition, church articles of faith, false science and famous authors are elevated above Scripture, and that Jesus is the only infallible one, the head of the church; even the reformers could not agree.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 17:25 Well, the Bible plainly says that only Jesus can forgive sin. Plainly says that only he has the authority, you know. Now, Protestants, oh yeah, they confess, but they just go right ahead and sin. Ah, Lord, forgive me for being angry. And then 10 minutes later, they’re angry again. Lord, forgive me for committing adultery. Then two days later, they’re committing adultery again. Tradition is equal to the Bible. That means the church rules and regulations, the church articles of faith is equal to Bible truths. Today, Christians have their own opinions that they elevate higher than the scriptures. They elevate their church’s articles of faith.

▶ 18:17 If my church says it, it’s got to be it. They elevate science, false science, above scripture. They elevate book authors, famous people, above scriptures. We’re doing the same thing. The infallibility of the pope. Folks, the Bible plainly says that Jesus was the only infallible one. He is our shepherd. He is our king. He is our prophet. He is our Lord. He’s the one we follow. He’s the head of the church. There is no spiritual leader or church that is infallible. Don’t let anybody tell you differently. We got to go back to Jesus. Luther, Calvin, [unclear], [unclear], Brown, Smith, and other reformers couldn’t agree. Even when God started restoring things and bringing times of refreshing, these guys couldn’t agree.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 2:10 (NKJV)

But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic,

— Mark 2:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:27 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

How did the church fall from godly living into corruption?

▶ Watch this part (19:14)

Short answer: He says the early church stood for God and holiness, but medieval leaders lived luxuriously on poor members’ money, sold indulgences, offices and relics, and required pilgrimages. He says TV and radio ministers do the same today, that being rebaptized in the Jordan is ridiculous because one baptism is all the Bible allows, and that sexual immorality was rampant among medieval priests.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:14 Calvin tried to unite them, but he had the predestination doctrine, which they didn’t agree with. Most of them were in division over the communion table and water baptism at this point. You can’t get any unity over silly things that really is between the person and God. It doesn’t hurt anybody. Now, let’s look at the falling away from living godly to corruption. Okay, the early church was a godly church. They stood, these apostles stood for God and holiness. The medieval church, the leaders lived luxuriously. I mean, they lived in castles, fancy clothes and everything on the members money who were peasants and barely making it.

▶ 20:09 They sold indulgences, as we said before, to build churches and live high. We do it with books, trinkets, prayers, DVDs, you know, music groups. We just we don’t call them indulgences. And simony is the selling of relics, pardons, and offices in the church. Goes to the highest bidder. You want to be a priest? Sure. You got $50,000, we’ll make you a priest. We do that today, especially Protestants. Pilgrimages for sin. That’s a punishment. Well, if you want to really be forgiven for your sin, you got to take a pilgrimage and so forth. And then at the end of that pilgrimage, they had relics like a straw from the manger and the a piece of wood from Christ’s cross and a burning bush twig that they paid to see so they could build and live luxury.

▶ 21:05 Build churches and live luxuriously. We do that. TV radio ministers do that all the time. Pilgrimage to Jordan or Israel to be rebaptized in the Jordan River. It’s ridiculous. You can’t kill Christ twice. One baptism is all the Bible allows. Sexual immorality was rampant in the medieval church. Homosexuality, incest, orgies, prostitution, theft, murder, mass murders from the persecution. These are literally priests. They couldn’t even write their name. Some of these popes could not write their name. And priests could not write their name, but they could buy it. Nepotism. Then you had profanity. They just use profanity.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Ephesians 4:5 (NKJV)

one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

— Ephesians 4:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:21 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What signs of falling away does he see today, and what is the hope?

▶ Watch this part (21:55)

Short answer: He says the church today uses profanity, follows horoscopes, is violent and greedy, and has untrained preachers in Catholic and Protestant churches. He says Bible morality may be unpopular but the results are indisputable; we need to repent, and the remnant of Revelation 12:17, who keep God’s commandments and have the testimony of Jesus, are our hope to turn America back.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:55 The the Christian church today just uses profanity like it’s no big deal. The actors in the movies do it. We do it. So what? It’s the language of the day. Sorcery. You know, the horoscope, you know, where am I from? Am I a bull? Am I, you know, where was I born and what’s going to happen today? And all this stuff. Witchcraft was rampant in the medieval times and today. Violence. Christians are violent. They’ll beat you up in a minute if you cross their their uh temper. Gambling. Our government is in gambling now. We found it didn’t work decades ago and then we brought it back because the government wants to make more taxes and support more people and all this greed is not only by leaders but the lay— the people in the church are doing it and as I said we got illiterate preachers out there all over Protestant churches especially in the Catholic church they got a book they don’t even read their Bible they just out a book every Sunday, every every service what it is that it’s in a book and they just read it and they just the whole service is laid out for them.

▶ 23:10 So they don’t have to be trained. They don’t have to seek God. Protestants, they just go to the same old Bible colleges, brainwashing them in the same old nonsense that’s been going on since Luther and Calvin and all the rest of them. I submit to you that Bible morality may be unpopular, but the results are indisputable. We need to repent. We need to love. We need to accept the good news of Jesus and good works that have been replaced by grace, faith, psychology, and motivational preaching in most American, Catholic, and Protestant Christian churches today. I submit to you that the seemingly silent remnant and Revelations 12:17, those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus, the remnant are our hope to turn America back to Bible morality and the good news of Jesus Christ. Again, Bible morality is unpopular, but the results are indisputable.

More questions this message answers

Short answers drawn only from what he says in this message, each with the moment in the video.

What are the three biblical reasons for persecution?

He says preaching the kingdom of God and repentance, living godly, which threatens people’s lifestyle, and simply believing in Jesus; persecution for doing wrong has no profit or reward.

Do prophets who predict the second coming profit from it?

He says these false prophets make a fortune off people in the church who think they have some kind of revelation that God says we do not have.

▶ Watch at 4:30

What should you do when you are down?

He says get back up: we are in the seasons of refreshing and restoration, and God will refresh you and restore you.

▶ Watch at 5:30

How does he compare “once saved, always saved” with last rites?

He says Protestants made it even easier than last rites: “once saved, always saved,” so nothing could take away my salvation.

▶ Watch at 11:02

Do you need apologetics to answer Bible difficulties?

He says if you have had an encounter with God, questions like how many times the rooster crowed will not bother you; when you have not, you need apologetics to solve your problems.

Do Protestants do the same things they criticize in Catholics?

He says yes, in another disguise: TV and radio evangelists sell Jordan River water, olive oil and prayer cloths, and Protestants ask peers instead of praying to dead saints.

▶ Watch at 13:48

Why couldn’t the reformers agree?

He says most of them were divided over the communion table and water baptism, silly things that are between the person and God and do not hurt anybody.

▶ Watch at 19:14

Should you be rebaptized in the Jordan River?

He says it is ridiculous: you cannot kill Christ twice, and one baptism is all the Bible allows.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: This is the fourth session on “present truth.” Two reformers’ names at 18:56 were not clear in the captions and are marked [unclear]. The dates he gives for medieval practices (e.g. 500, 600, 607, 709, 786, 950, 1079 and 1215 AD; the holy water date at 13:59 is spoken unclearly as “18850 rather AD”) and his claims about medieval and modern clergy are given as spoken and have not been checked.
