The End Time Judgment, Part 2: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In this message Pastor David G. Kincer continues the series on the end-time judgment, explaining that God instituted government by law, that Jesus’ first coming was to warn and save and His second is to judge by works, that even believers will appear before the judgment seat of Christ, and that the new heaven and earth have levels of reward.
What does Revelation 21:8 say about the cowardly, and why does he tell people to spend time with those above them? (Revelation 21:8)
Short answer: He says the “cowardly” are people who lack the courage to stand up for Jesus and do so “flagrantly and consistently,” and that they are headed to the lake of fire. He says growing means getting with people above you who will not just pat you on the back.
▶ 0:01 Revelations 21:8: the cowardly. The cowardly, yes. When you don’t have the courage to stand up for Jesus with your friends, teenagers especially, you are peer pressured. People, you want to cave in. Everything around you, and when you are such a coward that you can’t stand up for right and stand up for Jesus, and you do that flagrantly and consistently, you’re going to go to h— you’re going to go to the lake of fire. You say, “Preacher, that’s strong.” Word, that is that what it says. Is he talking about you being afraid to drive on the freeway? No, no. He’s talking about you don’t have the courage of your faith. You don’t have the courage of the grace he’s given you to stand up for what’s right, and you just give in to the crowd around you. And that’s why we have these little cliques in the church. They all join the level that they’re comfortable with, and they talk about the other levels.
▶ 1:12 Boy, that was good. Am I right? Absolutely. And if you want to want to grow, you got to get with people that are up there above you, not patting you on the back and saying you’re okay. That’s why you need to bombard Barnes’s house. He makes great uh fruit drinks and cookies. Yes, and just go over and say, “Hey, preacher said, man, I got to get with people to above me.” And he said, “You got a great great cookies and fruit juice.” And the [unclear] and the [unclear], man, just, and and some of these young adults that got a quality life, you know, you teenagers, just hound Christina and Mike, and you know, hallelujah. You see, we get influenced by who we’re around and the quality of life that they have. See, Christina and Blake are going to be married pretty soon. You just go over their house, just, hallelujah. You just tell him, “Blake, you inherited us.”
Scripture in this part
Revelation 21:8 (NKJV)
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
— Revelation 21:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:01Why does he say God instituted government by law, starting with work? (Genesis 2:15-17)
Short answer: He says God put the man in the garden “to work it and to take care of it,” and gave a first law that no working meant no eating, and a second law of death for eating from the tree of knowledge. He says if lazy people were not fed they would find a way to work, and he applies it to children who should learn to work.
▶ 3:18 Genesis 2:15. God took the man, put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and to take care of it. What’s the word there? Underline. Yes, you got that, Diamond. What’s that word again? Yes, praise God. he He’s just got a job and he’s making good money. Hallelujah. And uh, it says, “Then you can eat of any tree in the garden.” You see, no working, no eating. First law. Just letting it soak in. God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may eat freely, but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die.” The punishment, in black up there. If you eat of the tree of knowledge, what’s the punishment? You die. What was the punishment if you didn’t work the garden? No eat. And maybe, you know, if our lazy people wouldn’t fed, that’ find a way to work. that’s a That’s a Proverb: a man’s stomach will drive him to work. But oh, we let them be lazy and still feed them. We let our kids live with us till they’re 40 years old. Kick them out. Let them get hungry. Say, “Preacher, you’re you’re mean.” I’m Bible. That’s not being mean. That’s going to make a well self-esteemed, ambitious, well-balanced person out of your children if they learn how to work.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 2:15 (NKJV)
Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
— Genesis 2:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:18Genesis 2:16-17 (NKJV)
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
— Genesis 2:16-17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:07 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Proverbs 16:26 (NKJV)
The person who labors, labors for himself, For his hungry mouth drives him on.
— Proverbs 16:26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:39 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the “shadow law” about blood in Genesis 9, and what does he say about marriage? (Genesis 9:4, Genesis 2:24)
Short answer: He says that eating meat without the life blood had no punishment attached because it is “a shadow law of the blood of Christ being shed for the sins of the world.” He says the law that a man leaves his parents and cleaves to his wife is a law of God, and that Christians get married as a public commitment to be faithful.
▶ 5:28 Hallelujah. And so we die because these knuckleheads ate of the tree of knowledge. Thank you, Adam and Eve. “Everything that lives will be food for you.” Here’s Genesis 9. Uh, okay, here he gives us meat to eat. Now they didn’t eat meat up to this time, but “you must not eat the meat that has the life blood in it.” And there’s no punishment for this law because it is a shadow law of the blood of Christ being shed for the sins of the world. You understand that? You can actually eat blood if you don’t overdo it, and it’s healthy for you. Are you aware of that? Yeah, it’s it is. Blood in every nation is used, just like the ribeye steak, the gizzards, and everything else. Nothing goes to waste in third world country, including the blood. All right. And of course you can’t overdrink it, but uh, yeah, it’s it’s strictly a shadow law. There’s a lot of shadows in the Bible.
▶ 6:39 “Therefore shall a man leave his mother and father and cleave into his” what? Wife. “And they too shall be one flesh.” There comes a time where you’ve got to have your job. You got to be able to provide for yourself and get you a woman. There comes a time when you got to leave Mom and Dad. You see, this is a law of God. It’s one of the first, what we call, sacraments, or uh traditional ritual laws. And see, marriage in our generation is frowned on A lot of people are just shacking up, not marrying, but Christians marry. See, marriage is a public declaration with people around you that you’re going to be faithful to that person, love that person, treat them right, raise your kids right. It is a commitment before God and people, and so Christians get married.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 9:4 (NKJV)
But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
— Genesis 9:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:53 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Genesis 2:24 (NKJV)
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
— Genesis 2:24 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:39 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Is it God’s fault when bad things happen? (Genesis 9:5-6)
Short answer: He says God gave human beings the job of judging, with “whosoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed,” so when someone asks “what kind of God up there allows all these bad things to happen,” it is “our fault” and not God’s. He says God designed government by law and told us to take care of the criminal.
▶ 7:39 Amen. Then in Genesis 9:5: “From each man I will demand the accounting of life for his fellow man. Whosoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for in the image of God he was created.” He, God, made man. So now God says, “I’m not going to be the one that’s doing the judging. I’m going to give it to human beings.” And these atheists and these that say, “What kind of God up there allows all these bad things to happen?” It isn’t God. He designed government by law, and he said you’ve got to take care of the criminal now, and we can only blame ourself. See, it’s important you know these things, because they get they twist things, and then you go, “Yeah, what kind of God is that allowed that girl to be raped and allowed that child to be molested?” that That’s not God’s fault. He gave you the responsibility to take care of business. Now that was a good place for a clap, let me tell you. And I get tired, I get tired of people blaming my God and blaming his perfect word when it is our fault.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 9:5-6 (NKJV)
Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man’s brother I will require the life of man. “Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.
— Genesis 9:5-6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:40What punishments did the Old Testament law give, and what does it say about strangers? (Exodus 22:19, Leviticus 20, Exodus 22:20-21)
Short answer: He reads laws that put to death a person who lies with an animal or sacrifices to any god but the Lord, and the command “you shall not mistreat a stranger nor oppress him.” He says there was no punishment given for mistreating strangers, only the command to treat them right, and adds his own view that immigrants should come in the legal way.
▶ 8:58 Hallelujah. Exodus 22:19, Leviticus 20: “Whosoever lies with an animal,” the same, sex, adultery, shall be put to death. “He who sacrifices to any god except the Lord only shall be utterly destroyed.” “You shall not mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.” We have two there, the punishment was death. We have one there that there wasn’t a punishment for. He just tells you to treat the stranger right. And see, we’re to allow immigrants into our nation, but they should come in the legal way, cuz it’s not fair to the ones that came in legally, and it violates our laws and our government. Leaders are wimps when they don’t back up the law, and then they beat us up, us little people up, when we break a much smaller one. Now that was good stuff too.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 22:19 (NKJV)
“Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death.
— Exodus 22:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:59Exodus 22:20-21 (NKJV)
“He who sacrifices to any god, except to the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed. “You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
— Exodus 22:20-21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:10 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Why did God punish so few people with death in the Old Testament?
Short answer: He says that when God was in charge he only had one person killed for gathering wood on the Sabbath and one for adultery, because he was showing that when He comes the second time He will judge by these laws, “and that death is the second death.” He says if God had killed everyone “pretty soon you don’t have a population.”
▶ 9:53 Hallelujah. But uh, you got to remember in the Bible, God, when he was in charge, remember, he didn’t kill [unclear], he just punished [unclear]. He was the sole government, the judge, and everything, you see. And he only had one person killed for getting wood on the Sabbath and one person killed for adultery. Why? Because he’s trying to tell you, when I come the second time, I’m going to judge you by these laws, and that death is the second death. Are you there? You see, God didn’t go through the Old Testament killing everybody. It messed up. How you ever going to get him saved if you kill him that doesn’t work? Okay, you gather sticks. Bam. Pretty soon you don’t have a population. And how can you turn them from wrong if you kill them? So it’s obviously he is, what, telling us his laws are going to be backed up when he comes. Wow.
What are the four ways God disciplined people, and what is excommunication? (1 Corinthians 16:22, John 14:15)
Short answer: He lists four ways God disciplined people: beating, fines, excommunication and death, and says civil leaders, not the church, are supposed to deal with criminals. He says the church’s greatest punishment is excommunication, for those who do not love the Lord, and that loving Him means keeping His commandments.
▶ 11:18 So four ways he disciplined people: beating, punishment by fins, excommunication, which is the church’s greatest act, and punishment by death. Our civil leaders are supposed to deal with criminals. That’s what they’re there for. It’s not the church, it is civil leaders, and they’re not doing it. But the church’s greatest uh punishment is excommunication. See, it says at the end of First Corinthians, “If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema.” Excommunicate. Say it. Excommunicate for not what? Loving the Lord. How do you know you love the Lord? Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” And you’ll start out with a desire to keep his command when you’re a baby. Yeah, you mess up, you fall, you goof. Me, that’s babyhood. That, yeah, you know, don’t beat yourself up. Just keep coming, keep growing, and you’ll get through that stage. Amen. Hallelujah. No problem here. We all got to through go through the baby stage. It’s just Americans stay that way for 30 years.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 16:22 (NKJV)
If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!
— 1 Corinthians 16:22 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:52 (quoted; reference not named in the message)John 14:15 (NKJV)
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.
— John 14:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:05 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Why did Jesus come the first time, and what is the condemnation? (John 3:17-20)
Short answer: He says Jesus’ first coming “was not to condemn the world” but to warn that a judgment is coming and to forgive and cleanse sin. He says those who do not believe are already condemned because light has come into the world and men loved darkness, because their deeds were evil.
▶ 12:35 Okay. Jesus’s first coming, as we know, was not to condemn the world. In John 3:17, but that the world through him might be saved. His first coming was not to judge the world. He come to warn the world there’s a judgment coming and, “My blood will forgive you your sins, clean you your sins, and you can correct all your wrongs. Your slate can be clean and you can be reconciled back to God.” That was his message. “He that believes on him is not condemned. He that believes not is condemned already, because he hasn’t believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation: that light has come into the world, and men loved what? Darkness rather than light, because their deeds were what? Evil. For everyone that does evil hates the light.” Who’s the light? Jesus and his word. “Neither comes to the light.” Who’s the light? Jesus and his word. “Lest his deeds should what? Be exposed.”
Scripture in this part
John 3:17-20 (NKJV)
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
— John 3:17-20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:39Why do people reject the message, and when will the word judge us? (John 12:48, Acts 17:31)
Short answer: He says people who reject the message blame the preacher or the church, but the truth is “they want to sin and they don’t want anybody telling them they can’t.” He says the same word will judge us in the last day, that God has “an appointed day,” and that no one should rely on predicted dates.
▶ 13:34 You know, people that reject the message, they blame the preacher, they blame the church, they put the blame on everything. And the truth is, they want to sin and they don’t want anybody telling them they can’t. So they reject Christ because what? Christ is going to convict them of their sin so he can save them. And that’s why he came the first time. He didn’t come to back up that Old Testament law. But the second coming, John 12:48: “The word that I’ve have spoken to you, the same shall judge you” what? “In the last day.” Acts 17:31: he was a there was “He has appointed a day on which he will” what? Judge the world. It’s not an in-minute thing. There is an appointed day. This is going to happen. And when that day comes, it’s going to happen. And you can put out teaser dates and you can predict dates all you want, but the thing of it is, God has a design, a plan, and he has a day when he’s coming, and he’s going to judge the world. And you die before that, you’re still accountable. That’s your judgment day. And you’re going to be resurrected to this one.
Scripture in this part
John 12:48 (NKJV)
He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
— John 12:48 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:07Acts 17:31 (NKJV)
because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
— Acts 17:31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:14Will believers appear before Christ, and is God partial? (2 Corinthians 5:10)
Short answer: He says “we will all appear before the judgment seat of Christ,” and that being a believer does not exempt you because Judas also believed, preached and cast out demons. He says many Christians think God would be partial to those who believe, and says that is “a lie.”
▶ 14:52 Second Corinthians 5:10: “We will all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.” How many of us? “But I’m a believer of Christ.” So what what? Judas was a believer of Christ too, you know. Have I got you thinking? Yeah, he believed in Christ. Is he in the lake of fire? Yes, he’s in the lake of fire. We don’t know our Bible. Did Judas preach the gospel? Yes. Did he cast out demons? Yes. Did he heal the sick? I mean, God healed the sick through him. Yeah. Are you there, church? You see, this thing is the power. This is the message of the gospel of Christ. This judgment is strong and it’s powerful and it moves us forward. We’re going to all appear. And and see, a lot of Christians don’t think they’re going to appear before Christ. They think God is partial because we believe in him. “Believed in you, Lord. I’m committing sexual immorality and doing everything this guy over here did, but he didn’t believe in you.” And and and so God says, “Well, he didn’t believe in me, I’m going to I’m going to mess him up. But you, you believe, all right.” Is God partial, folks? We’re lying to the people, and the people love to believe a lie.
Scripture in this part
2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV)
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
— 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:52What does it mean to be judged by works? (Revelation 20:13, 2 Corinthians 5:10)
Short answer: He says they were judged each one according to their works, and that believing in Christ does not help a family if you abuse them, and does not help a sinner if you tell them they don’t have to turn. He says living for Christ helps our neighbors and families, and that grace and faith are not all there is to it.
▶ 16:34 “Anyway, that he may receive the things done when in this body according to what he has done, whether it be good or bad.” All right. “The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. They were judged each one according to his” what? What’s the word? Works. See, it doesn’t do my wife and children any good I believe in Christ, and then I’m going out on my wife and I’m beating my kids to death because they do things that irritate me. And that doesn’t help them any. And I believe in Christ, and I tell the sinner, “You know, you just believe in Christ, you don’t have to turn from that.” Doesn’t help that sinner any or his home any. You see, us living for Christ is what helps our neighbor. That’s what helps our family. And now that’s a good place for a good amen. You may not agree with me, but that’s the key. And they got us thinking that this grace and faith is all there is to it. No, you can be a tremendous blessing in your home by following the word of God, and you can go to heaven.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 20:13 (NKJV)
The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
— Revelation 20:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:45 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Does Jesus come only once, and what is the new heaven and new earth? (Matthew 16:27, Revelation 21:1)
Short answer: He says the Bible nowhere says Jesus comes “once, twice, and the third time”; He comes one time, judges the world, resurrects the people, and then comes eternity. He says everything now will be “renovated by fire” and replaced by “a much better” heaven and earth, not surfing or fishing.
▶ 17:49 Matthew 16:20: “For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will reward every man according to his” what? Works. See, nowhere in the Bible does he say he’s coming once, twice, and the third time. It says he’s coming one time, and he’s going to judge the world, and he’s going to resurrect the people, and they’re going to stand before God, and then eternity. Revelations 21:1: “I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth [unclear] passed away. Also there was no more sea.” I love these young Christians when they say, “Boy, I can’t wait to catch that wave in heaven,” you know, surfing, or “Boy, just imagine the fishing in heaven.” and And I look at, I, you’re not getting this. Everything that you see here is going to be renovated by fire. It’s going to be burned up: buildings, everything’s gone, water gone, moon, stars, sun, everything’s gone, and a much better comes to replace it.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 16:27 (NKJV)
For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
— Matthew 16:27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:49Revelation 21:1 (NKJV)
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
— Revelation 21:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:22What will eternity be like? (Revelation 21:4-5, 2 Peter 3)
Short answer: He says God “will wipe every tear from their eyes,” there will be no more death, sorrow, crying or pain, because the former things have passed away, and God says “I make what? All things new.” He says the heavens will pass away with a great noise and a fervent heat, and that the new earth is “much better than what we know.”
▶ 19:16 Hallelujah. So get rid of those fairy tales. God has something much better than what we know. Now, “God will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death,” why? Cuz death is is conquered. Now, “no sorrow, no crying. There will be no more pain, for the former things have” what? Passed away. And remember, “with a fervent heat the heavens passed away with a great noise, the earth was burned up and everything in it.” And they want us down here on earth. Ain’t nothing to be down here for until he recreates the new earth. Hallelujah. I’m just throwing out some things to help you get through this nonsense out there. Then “he who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make what? All things new.’” Wow. Fresh. Now I don’t know about you, but that sounds pretty good to me.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 21:4 (NKJV)
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
— Revelation 21:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:24 (quoted; reference not named in the message)2 Peter 3:10 (NKJV)
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
— 2 Peter 3:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:40 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Revelation 21:5 (NKJV)
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
— Revelation 21:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:10 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Will everyone get the same reward in heaven?
Short answer: He says there “are levels,” so what you do now depends on your reward; you will get eternal life, but people who do not pursue or grow in God will not get the same reward as those who do. He says the idea that everyone is treated equal is “the Disneyland gospel,” and that there are things to be rewarded up there.
▶ 20:22 Is it worth living for Christ for 70 to 80 years on this earth to inherit an eternity like that? And we we already talked about Christ, you know, we get to love him and know him up there, and he’s the focus of everything, plus we get all the new heaven and a new earth to live in. There are levels, uh, so it’s important what you do now. Depends on your reward. These people think they all get the same reward. See, that’s just like these lazy people. They don’t want to work and they think they should be able to be fed and everything and drive cars just like the workers. And the Christians are like that, you know. We don’t pursue God, we don’t grow in God, yet we want the same reward that those who applied God, and it’s not there in the Bible. Now, you will get eternal life, don’t get me wrong, but remember there’s a new heaven and new earth, things are going on there’s a order up there, and I don’t know about you, but you want to be as high as you can when you get there. Amen.
▶ 21:39 You say, “Man, that sounds weird.” Yeah, I know, because we love the fair tale, the Disneyland gospel. We don’t want any responsibility or accountability to do anything, and we want everything handed to us, and it’s not that way. You will be judged according to your works. You see, Blake gets a very good paycheck because he has a good marketing uh skill to market, and see, you guys, want some of you want the same paycheck without putting the effort in, and it ain’t going to happen. Picking on Blake today. And all of you believe this fantasy from TV and radio that, “Oh man, your faith and gra, everybody’s treated equal, everybody get.” No, you didn’t do beans for Christ, you’re barely going to get in, and thank God you got in. But there’s things to be rewarded up there, and you want those rewards. Is that a good amen? Hallelujah.
What is the message of the cross, and how should we respond? (Proverbs 20:11)
Short answer: He says Jesus wants to keep us from “that lake of fire, that second death,” by choosing Him for forgiveness and starting to “start walking on the right road,” and going back to the cross when we fall. He says the message is “a total package”: forgiveness and cleansing plus a commitment to obey His word, with growth over time until we shine “by your good works, giving glory to God.”
▶ 23:06 Young people, stop what you’re doing. Here, I love young people. They look at each other to see if this is cool or not. Young people, the Bible says, “Even a child is known by its ways, whether it is bad or whether it’s good.” And so we’ve got to choose to live the right way, and this is what the message is all about. Jesus wants to keep you from that lake of fire, that second death, and so he’s coming to tell you. You’re not looking at me. That’s it, sweetie, that beautiful face. I’d love to see those eyes. Do you understand when you do that you distract those around you? Yeah, they look to see what you’re doing. Adults do that. And see, a serious thing, our eternal life is on the line here, and we got to get enough respect to listen and soak it in and make a decision. And this is what I’m getting to.
▶ 24:29 Jesus is telling us to choose him for forgiveness for wrong and to start walking on the right road and start living for him. And if you fall, you go back to him, back to that cross, asked him to forgive and get back up on that road and keep walking. And you can reject it today. You can want to please your friends around you. You want to be the cool crowd. You can believe the lie. Adults can believe the lie that’s preached on radio and TV. I told you over the weekend that if Jesus Christ preached the message that preachers are preaching today, he would never have been crucified, because they are not warning you to turn from evil and do right and serve the living God. That’s why they killed him. They didn’t want to change, and religious people didn’t want to change. And so young people and adults this morning, this is the message of the cross. Are you going to choose not only the forgiveness of Christ and the cleansing of sin that he offers, but a commitment to obey his word and live for him? It’s a total package.
▶ 26:05 And let him slowly, you know, doesn’t have to be too slow now, but a lot of this doesn’t happen overnight. So when I’m telling you, some of you drag your feet way too long, but let him building. You keep getting back up. Keep letting him deal with it until that thing is gone. You just keep working on these things to finally you shine like a light in this world by your good works, giving glory to God.

Short answers drawn only from what he says in this message, each with the moment in the video.
Who does he say goes to the lake of fire?
He says cowards who do not stand up for Jesus, the unbelieving, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters and liars, if they do it “flagrantly and consistently,” will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
Scripture (NKJV)But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
— Revelation 21:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:01
What does he mean by “the cowardly” in Revelation 21:8?
He says it does not mean being afraid to drive on the freeway; it means not having “the courage of your faith” to stand up for what’s right and instead giving into the crowd, especially for teenagers who are peer pressured.
How does he say we grow spiritually?
He says “get with people that are up there above you,” because “we get influenced by who we’re around and the quality of life that they have.”
What does he say about work and laziness?
He says “no working, no eating” was the first law, and quotes the Proverb that a man’s stomach will drive him to work. He says letting people be lazy and still feeding them, or letting children stay at home to age 40, does not build self-esteem.
Scripture (NKJV)The person who labors, labors for himself, For his hungry mouth drives him on.
— Proverbs 16:26 (NKJV) (quoted; reference not named in the message)▶ Hear it at 4:39
What does he say about eating blood?
He says the command not to eat meat with the life blood was a “shadow law” of the blood of Christ, with no punishment attached. He says you can actually eat blood “if you don’t overdo it,” and it is used in many nations, like other parts of the animal.
Scripture (NKJV)But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
— Genesis 9:4 (NKJV) (quoted; reference not named in the message)▶ Hear it at 5:53
What does he say about marriage?
He says marriage is “a public declaration” before God and people that you will be faithful, love that person, treat them right and raise your kids right. He says many people are “just shacking up,” but “Christians get married.”
Scripture (NKJV)Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
— Genesis 2:24 (NKJV) (quoted; reference not named in the message)▶ Hear it at 6:39
Whose fault does he say it is when evil happens?
He says it is not God’s fault but ours, because God gave human beings the responsibility to “take care of the criminal” and judge. He says he gets tired of people blaming God and “his perfect word when it is our fault.”
Scripture (NKJV)Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man’s brother I will require the life of man. “Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.
— Genesis 9:5-6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:40
What does he say about immigrants and the law?
He says “we’re to allow immigrants into our nation, but they should come in the legal way,” because it is not fair to those who came legally. He says government leaders who do not back up the law are “wimps.”
Who does he say is supposed to punish criminals?
He says civil leaders, not the church, are supposed to deal with criminals and carry out punishment by death, and says “they’re not doing it.” He says the church’s greatest punishment is excommunication.
Why did Jesus not judge the world at His first coming?
He says Jesus came to warn that a judgment is coming and to offer forgiveness and a clean slate through His blood, and that those who do not believe “condemned already.”
Scripture (NKJV)For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

He says “they got us thinking that this grace and faith is all there is to it,” and that following the word of God is what makes you a blessing to your home and takes you to heaven.
What does he say about surfing and fishing in heaven?
He says everything here “is going to be renovated by fire” and replaced by something “much better than what we know,” so people should get rid of those “fairy tales.”

He asks if it is “worth living for Christ for 70 to 80 years on this earth to inherit an eternity like that,” where we get to love and know Him and have a new heaven and new earth.
What does he say about preachers today?
He says if Jesus preached the message that preachers are preaching today “he would never have been crucified,” because they do not warn people to turn from evil.
About this transcript
This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor note: he says “Matthew 16:20” (as in the captions) for the words about the Son of Man coming in the glory of His Father; those words are in Matthew 16:27. Some phrases were garbled in the captions and are marked [unclear] (names near “the Taves and the Kers,” two places where a name appears to be missing around “punished,” and a word in Revelation 21:1). His remarks on immigration, lazy people being fed, eating blood, capital punishment and named members of the church are his own and are not verified here.
