The Battle - February 25, 2024: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Following the real deal, this message traces Israel’s deliverance from Egypt. God saw His people, came down to deliver them and promised wonders, but Pharaoh, a picture of Satan, would not let go. The elders and even Moses forgot the signs. Stay connected to Jesus, put on the armor, and don’t quit like Lot’s wife, Demas or Jonah. Wait patiently with joy until God works.
Where does this message pick up?
Short answer: From last week’s real deal: we serve a real God, and with God there is a battle.
▶ 0:04 It is behold how good and how pleasant it is for God’s people to dwell together in unity it’s good to have our guest this morning God bless you guys we will uh give you a big hug at the end here we’re going to get right in the word um there’s no handouts today that’s another story but uh we’re going to get right to it we’ve been talking about the real deal the authentic the real McCoy the genuine article last week we were talking about how we want to be genuine Christians and how we can be that we want to be genuine parents genuine uh husbands and wives we want to be genuine spouses genuine male and female and there’s other things that I can’t remember but we want to be genuine in this world not artificial uh but real and it’s the same thing with God we want to serve a real God amen.
Scripture in this part
Psalm 133:1 (NKJV)
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
— Psalm 133:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:04Does God see our oppression?
Short answer: I have surely seen the oppression of My people; Jesus saw the crowd and had compassion.
▶ 1:04 And with God there is a battle and we want to face this. Uh life that we’re living this walk that we’re walking with God we want to face it ready for the battle in Exodus 3:7 says I have surely seen the oppression of my people thank God he sees our oppression and our troubles amen God is looking and he’s watching and looking at your life.
▶ 1:39 Matthew 14:14 Jesus saw a large crowd and had compassion on them and healed their sick Jesus did the same thing he looked upon it says he saw the large crowd amen and he he had compassion on them just like God is having compassion on his people I have heard heard their cry I know their sorrows and as Isaiah 53:4 he took up our pain and bore our suffering as you know Jesus Christ he endured suffering he endured sorrows he knows our sorrows Hebrews 4:15 he was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin Jesus Christ understands you I don’t understand you that’s for sure but Jesus does and it’s powerful he in all points he was tempted just as we are he had to deal with temptation to sin he had to deal with pride he had to deal with all of the sins and he came out without sin and that’s one of the reasons why Jesus is so important he’s the one who died on the cross for us he did not deserve to die he did not sin but he died on the cross why he was innocent so he was innocent and he was God and that’s why his blood is so.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 3:7 (NKJV)
And the LORD said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
— Exodus 3:7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:04Matthew 14:14 (NKJV)
And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.
— Matthew 14:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:39Has God come to deliver us?
Short answer: I have come down to deliver them; if the Son sets you free you are free indeed; His promise is for individuals.
▶ 3:10 Powerful so he sees. It Exodus 3 verse 7 I have come down to deliver them isn’t that good don’t we want his deliverance don’t we want his intervention John 8:36 if the son sets you free you will be free. Indeed and Luke 19:10 for the son of man has come to seek and to save that which is lost so here we see that God is doing something for the nation of Israel Jesus came and he’s doing something again for the nation of Israel but today in our lives he’s doing something in an individual’s life these promises are for.
▶ 4:02 Individuals and you can take God up on his promise or you can reject. It and I say it’s for individuals because we look around the world and we may be very discouraged and not see God working in the world or in America and be get very cast down but he’s still working and always has been in the individual whom the son has set free is free indeed he’s come to seek and to save that which is lost that’s the individual and God can do a mighty work in your indiv in your personal.
▶ 4:43 Life to bring them up to a land flowing with milk and honey so this is what the promise was he came to deliver them to take them out of Egypt cu they were slaves if you don’t know the story of Israel coming out of Egypt they were slaves to Egypt and slaves to Pharaoh and they were under hard bondage and God saw it as as with the scriptures we just shared and he’s promising to deliver them from it and take them to a new land and Jesus has promised the same thing if we put our trust in him he we will not perish but have what eternal life and that is our land of milk and honey amen but you can also have eternal life today in your life because Jesus says in John 17 uh John 17 to know Jesus is to know eternal life so you can have that eternal life in you now and you don’t have to wait till you’re in.
Scripture in this part
John 8:36 (NKJV)
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
— John 8:36 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:10Luke 19:10 (NKJV)
for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
— Luke 19:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:10Why is there a battle?
Short answer: The king of Egypt would not let them go, and the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy; Pharaoh is a picture of Satan.
▶ 5:50 Heaven the problem that Israel faced is that ge uh God said in Exodus 3:19 I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you. Go John chapter 10 verse 10 the thief does not come except to steal kill to destroy I have come that you may have life and that you may have it more abundantly so Jesus is dealing with the same uh person and he’s come he’s giving us the same solutions God is coming and he’s going to deal with Pharaoh but at the beginning Pharaoh is not what going to let you go Pharaoh is an example in the Bible of Satan Satan is not going to let he doesn’t want to let you. Go there’s two kingdoms in the spirit world there’s a lot of kingdoms in uh our globe but in the spirit there’s two kingdoms Christ and his kingdom and Satan and the kingdom of darkness and they’re both pulling for.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 3:19 (NKJV)
But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand.
— Exodus 3:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:50John 10:10 (NKJV)
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
— John 10:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:501 Peter 5:8 (NKJV)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
— 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:57How do we win?
Short answer: Stay connected; if you have a rope attached to Jesus, let Him keep pulling and don’t cut Him off.
▶ 6:58 You. So if you had to bet on one winning which one are you going to bet on yes he is much more powerful and much stronger but you got to stay connected with him all right if you got a rope attached to Jesus just let him keep pulling you keep pulling with him you keep going don’t give up that’s the point today you got to fight that battle don’t give up fighting some people will cut off the connection with Jesus Christ and Christ with all of his power he can’t pull for you anymore because you cut him. Off christianity isn’t always easy but remember Jesus overcame the world. Amen he says I have overcome the world do not be afraid 1 Peter 5:8 be alert and sober minded your enemy the Devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking for someone to devour so we know that this Pharaoh is an example of Satan this Satan does not want to let you go Pharaoh did not want to let them.
Scripture in this part
John 16:33 (NKJV)
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
— John 16:33 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:58Will God strike the enemy?
Short answer: I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt; the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. Some things, like addiction, don’t change overnight.
▶ 8:13 Go and he’s seeking people that he can destroy Exodus 3:20 I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders in Romans 16:20 God the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly in the new New Testament it confirms this I’m just showing here how it works out in the New Testament we have this story in the Old Testament this illustration it’s a real event that happened and the New Testament is confirming what uh God is doing God is going to strike Pharaoh with his wonders and God does the same against Satan in our lives I’ve heard it famously said if you stick with Jesus you’re going to have a happy life so it’s important that you stick with Jesus that you stick and hang in and keep.
▶ 9:14 Fighting until he comes with his wonders and does a mighty work in your life some things don’t happen overnight maybe when you got saved certain things changed in you immediately but something else didn’t change could be an addiction you’re trying to get rid of it could be whatever it is you’ve got to keep in the fight and you got to keep fighting until God works his wonders in your life.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 3:20 (NKJV)
So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and after that he will let you go.
— Exodus 3:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:13Romans 16:20 (NKJV)
And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
— Romans 16:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:13How do we stay in the fight?
Short answer: As Jesus did in the desert: fasting, prayer, praise and assembling weekly; God also gave favor to plunder the Egyptians.
▶ 9:54 And if you al and to stay in the fight you’ve got to remember remember what Jesus did when Jesus was tempted in the desert he was fasting he was he prayed he praised God he assembled weekly and uh to name a few these are the ways we can fight so stay in the fight don’t give up put God’s word into you remember Jesus used the word of God to fight against Satan you’ve got to have knowledge of the word so you know what it says so that you can use it amen if you have a lying tongue find some scriptures about a lying tongue today in 2024 you can go on google you can go on even chat gbt if you’re a techie person and you can say can I get scriptures about how uh not to lie and it’ll just all throughout the scriptures and then you can quote those you get on got and pray every morning say God deliver me from this deliver me from this addiction.
▶ 11:00 And you keep fighting the battle praying seeking. God fasting assembling in the house of God letting his presence and his word permeate your Spirit and lastly he says I’ll give you favor in the sight of the Egyptians so you will plunder the Egyptians and like the song was saying uh spoil the enemy we want to spoil the enemy the enemy uh is the kingdom of darkness and they have people under their control amen and so through this fight and through him doing his wonders we want to help deliver people from the kingdom of darkness God gave Moses some. Signs uh before that in Exodus 4:29 Moses and Aaron went to the elders of Israel.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 3:21-22 (NKJV)
And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be, when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed. But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, namely, of her who dwells near her house, articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing; and you shall put them on your sons and on your daughters. So you shall plunder the Egyptians.”
— Exodus 3:21-22 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:00What signs did Moses show?
Short answer: The staff became a snake and his hand became leprous and was restored, pictures of Jesus who shed His blood for us.
▶ 11:55 And they spoke the words with the with the Lord had. Given uh to Moses they spoke the words that the Lord gave to Moses and they shared it with the elders of Israel so you know Moses and Aaron went to uh Pharaoh and they also went to the elders of Israel who were in bondage right and Moses and Aaron or Moses showed he did the signs in the sight of the people they believed they did the signs they believed and they worshiped God and that’s a good response that’s what we need to do amen and that’s what God is saying to for us to do for God to lov the world that whoever believes on him would not perish but have everlasting life they believed in the promise and they. Worshiped and we also must remember when Jesus.
▶ 12:51 Came uh the three signs that he did Moses he had a staff a wood staff he cast it on the ground and it became a snake. He had a hand and God told him put it in his in his bosom bring it out and he saw it was leprous it was uh it had leprosy on it he put it back and it was healed and also he had some water and it became blood Jesus Christ showed when he came that he had power over nature over the natural elements if you remember the story he was on the boat and they woke him up and he said peace be still and the waves and the wind. Stopped amen Jesus showed that he had power over nature in the elements he healed people with diseases he healed people that were lame he healed people that were blind death everything and he showed that he had power over all types of diseases just like this.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 4:1-9 (NKJV)
Then Moses answered and said, “But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, ‘The LORD has not appeared to you.’ ” So the LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.” And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail” (and he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand), “that they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.” Furthermore the LORD said to him, “Now put your hand in your bosom.” And he put his hand in his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, like snow. And He said, “Put your hand in your bosom again.” So he put his hand in his bosom again, and drew it out of his bosom, and behold, it was restored like his other flesh. “Then it will be, if they do not believe you, nor heed the message of the first sign, that they may believe the message of the latter sign. And it shall be, if they do not believe even these two signs, or listen to your voice, that you shall take water from the river and pour it on the dry land. The water which you take from the river will become blood on the dry land.”
— Exodus 4:1-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:51How did Pharaoh respond?
Short answer: He called them idle and took away the straw; the elders forgot the signs and no longer believed.
▶ 13:55 Leprosy and he shed his blood for. Us and so it’s important for us to believe in that Jesus who showed those signs and gave uh shed his blood for. Us so they come to. Pharaoh and tell Pharaoh all this stuff hey you need to deliver uh you need to let us go and praise God in the in the wilderness they come to to Pharaoh and they say we want to go and sacrifice to our God and we want to go in the wilderness and for three days you know they’re starting out very reasonable requests they’re being very reasonable right you know God is coming out saying this is what you’re going to say you’re going to ask for something very reasonable and he’s going to say no and Pharaoh this is the way he responded you are what.
▶ 14:54 Idol guys just sitting around talking thinking about praising God what is. This and so he took away the straw that they had used to make bricks before he provided straw now he says you got to go get the straw you what you want something okay I’m going to make life harder on you and that’s how Satan is and that’s how the kingdom of darkness is they’ll put a heavier load it starts out as pleasant sin is pleasurable for a season but pretty soon you become in bondage and you’re uh in bondage and now if you want to get out of that bondage it seems. Impossible very hard and that’s exactly what Pharaoh is doing here he’s going to make it hard on. Them and so these elders after having to go and get their own straw they come to Moses and they said look let the Lord look look on you and judge because you have made us abhorent in the sight of Pharaoh now you might think to yourself well don’t I want to be abhorent in the sight of this guy don’t you want to be uh abhorent in the sight of Satan do you care that Satan you know likes you I don’t want Satan liking.
▶ 16:21 Me I don’t want Satan happy with. Me I want God happy with me and if Satan doesn’t like that that’s his problem and you notice how the elders of Israel they forgot about the signs they no longer. Believed and see this is the point you may see a miracle in your life time you may have heard stories and you may believe but are you going to keep pressing in and fighting the fight and that’s what God is reminding us this morning you can’t give up when Satan doesn’t want to let you go you got to stick with me you got to stick with Christ until he comes with his word wonders and does a miraculous work in your life.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 5:7-21 (NKJV)
“You shall no longer give the people straw to make brick as before. Let them go and gather straw for themselves. And you shall lay on them the quota of bricks which they made before. You shall not reduce it. For they are idle; therefore they cry out, saying, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’ Let more work be laid on the men, that they may labor in it, and let them not regard false words.” And the taskmasters of the people and their officers went out and spoke to the people, saying, “Thus says Pharaoh: ‘I will not give you straw. Go, get yourselves straw where you can find it; yet none of your work will be reduced.’ ” So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw. And the taskmasters forced them to hurry, saying, “Fulfill your work, your daily quota, as when there was straw.” Also the officers of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, “Why have you not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and today, as before?” Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, “Why are you dealing thus with your servants? There is no straw given to your servants, and they say to us, ‘Make brick!’ And indeed your servants are beaten, but the fault is in your own people.” But he said, “You are idle! Idle! Therefore you say, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.’ Therefore go now and work; for no straw shall be given you, yet you shall deliver the quota of bricks.” And the officers of the children of Israel saw that they were in trouble after it was said, “You shall not reduce any bricks from your daily quota.” Then, as they came out from Pharaoh, they met Moses and Aaron who stood there to meet them. And they said to them, “Let the LORD look on you and judge, because you have made us abhorrent in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us.”
— Exodus 5:7-21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:54Did deliverance come at once?
Short answer: No; it took ten plagues, and Moses also blamed God and forgot the burning bush.
▶ 17:33 Powerful as we know God brought 10 plagues to Egypt to loose the grip of Satan in their lives of Pharaoh in their lives and it worked but they had to wait they had to wait for the whole process to work out it didn’t happen on on the first plague it didn’t happen on the fifth plague it didn’t happen on the ninth plague they had to. Wait 10 plagues 10 days before Pentecost I just had a realization I need to write that. Down Exodus 5:22 Moses said Lord why have you brought trouble on this people why is it that you have sent me Pharaoh has done evil to this people neither have you delivered your people at all what are you doing God.
▶ 18:28 And you know this is us or this is me for sure you know we we respond this way to God amen he’s upset he’s blaming God he forgot about the burning bush he forgot about meeting God at the burning bush he forgot about the three miracles and the three signs and uh he goes to the Israelites the elders again and he says you know God this is God’s command and they did not heed Moses because of the the bondage that now that’s happen more bondage they got to go find that straw now and they’re really upset nobody’s listening to Moses Moses is coming to God what are you. Doing and God responds and he says I have remembered my covenant you shall speak all that I command you I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and he reminds him again I’m going to harden Pharaoh’s heart and he’s not going to let you.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 5:22-23 (NKJV)
So Moses returned to the LORD and said, “Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all.”
— Exodus 5:22-23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:28Do people turn back after signs?
Short answer: Yes; many disciples went back and walked with Him no more. It’s our job to lead people to the Savior, not to save them.
▶ 19:33 Go uh in John 6:66 from that time many of his disciples went back and walked with him no more I’ll get to why I’m mentioning that in just a moment God says I’m going to harden Pharaoh’s heart I’m going to multiply my signs and wonders which he did with the 10 plagues Pharaoh will not heed you so that I may lay my hand on Egypt bring my armies and my people out by great judgments so God is bringing judgment on. Egypt and it’s important to remember in America today we look around and we may see a lot of hardness we may see a lot of uh disdain for God and it’s important to recognize that God is involved with that hardness sometimes this is the way God did it with Egypt and he did it with the Jews the the the religious Jews their hearts were hard and people’s hearts are hard today but he’s going to.
▶ 20:36 Show he’s going to bring judgment so he can show them something so he can open up their eyes this is the way he does. It John chapter 6:66 as I said before from that time many of his disciples went back and walked with him no more so both the elders of Israel and Pharaoh rejected the word that God asked Moses to speak both unbelievers and believers and this is normal in Christian life we don’t have to get all uh worked up about it and upset that people reject God it’s just part of his program people reject God all the time we don’t want to change the message Jesus did not change his message because people people got upset as mentioned in John 6:66 many disciples walked with him no more they rejected Christ if they rejected the son of God Jesus himself they’re going to reject him.
Scripture in this part
John 6:66 (NKJV)
From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
— John 6:66 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:33Exodus 7:3 (NKJV)
And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.
— Exodus 7:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:33Whom does God reveal Himself to?
Short answer: Both Israelites and Egyptians; it wasn’t a coup or a grassroots movement but God’s hand.
▶ 21:44 Today. Amen we don’t want that but they have a responsibility to respond to God’s word it’s not our job to save people it’s our job to lead people to to the savior and let him save. Them Exodus 7:5 the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord when I stretch forth my hand upon Egypt and bring out the children of Israel from among them so here we see at the end of uh his statement his response he’s sharing the purpose and the goal of all of this and it’s so that it the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord and the Lord here is Jehovah Yahweh and uh God just revealed unto Moses and said my name is Jehovah I’m going to show this to Israel that my name is Jehovah I am the Lord.
▶ 22:51 And for first of all I want to express here that God is revealing himself both both to the Israelites and to the Egyptians the Jew and the Gentile the unbeliever and the believer he’s revealing to both of them that he is the Lord and it’s important for us to recognize that God has wanted to reach people everyone from the beginning for thousands of years he has tried to reach everyone not just the Jews not throughout history just the Jews he cares about. Everyone Egypt they had the money they had the pump they had the resources they had the military they had the prestige they had everything Israel was not even fighting against Egypt they weren’t fighting against Pharaoh they weren’t rebelling there wasn’t an uprising.
▶ 23:49 There wasn’t a coup it wasn’t a grassroots movement it was God’s. Movement and it was God’s hand upon Egypt that brought them out and that is what we need. Today and while we’re waiting for him to do that in nations and in governments and in. Peoples we can have that movement and that hand in our individual. Lives. You don’t have to wait for God’s calendar to become a glorious church to become part of the glorious church to be a member of that glorious church you can become one.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 7:5 (NKJV)
And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”
— Exodus 7:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:44Who takes the kingdom?
Short answer: The kingdom suffers violence and the violent take it by force, meaning it is pressed into.
▶ 24:52 Today in Matthew 11:12 it says from the days of John the baptist was that in our past. Yes until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force and another way to say this is the kingdom of God is being pressed into and those pressing into it are taking it by force there is nothing stopping you from getting into the kingdom of God the kingdom of God is righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Ghost the kingdom of God is within you there is nothing keeping you from getting God’s promise in your life you can press into God and take it by force now God says in Exodus 6:5 I remembered my covenant and do we have a covenant today in 2024 we have a new covenant and can you do you know what that new covenant is it’s important to know what that new covenant.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 11:12 (NKJV)
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
— Matthew 11:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 24:52What does the new covenant promise?
Short answer: I will put My law in their minds and remember their sin no more; Peter wasn’t rebuked but asked, do you love Me?
▶ 26:04 Is Jeremiah chapter 31:33 I will put my law in their minds and write it in their hearts I will make my word permanent no matter what’s going on in your life if you have to work this week if you got to raise kids if you got to do chores you got to do this you got to do that you got to do all these things whatever comes in your life that word of God will be engraved and edged in your mind and in your heart God that is his promise because I when I when I do my job I feel like my mind get w gets wiped every day but I don’t forget what God’s word says I don’t forget oh I oh I’m sorry I just went and I killed. Somebody no I know what the Bible says I know God’s word is in my heart and that’s an extreme example but you know God’s word it’s in you and God will write it on your heart that’s his new covenant promise the covenant is a promise it’s unbreakable and he has made an unbreakable promise with us today all shall know me from the least to the greatest of them whether you’re a really schnazzy billionaire or maybe you’re or some uh pastor and you’ve been a pastor for 60.
▶ 27:32 Years maybe you’re some wonderful person whoever you however great you are you can know God but we all have to humble ourselves if you’re the lowliest a person I you know grew up in po you may have grown up in poverty you may have grown up in a with a horrible past it doesn’t matter who you are you can know God are you willing to humble yourself that is his promise I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will remember no more if you remember Peter Peter denied Christ three. Times and Jesus died on the cross Peter wept bitterly he was so upset about it and sorry and he was he was just torn up and he went out fishing cuz he was like oh I guess it’s over Jesus didn’t rise or no he he went and saw the empty.
▶ 28:33 Tomb Jesus came in the room he saw him in the room and then he’s out fishing and he sees Jesus on the shore and he jumps out of that boat and swims to. Jesus now I’m going to I’m going to share what Jesus did not. Say Jesus and Peter were alone together and Jesus didn’t start going you know Peter you denied me three times you did this you did that you were messed up. Peter he said do you love. Me do you love me feed my sheep take care of my sheep okay I’ve forgiven you let’s move on let’s move forward he’s not remembering that stuff anymore you want forgiveness he cleanses you his blood covers you let’s move.
Scripture in this part
Jeremiah 31:33-34 (NKJV)
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
— Jeremiah 31:33-34 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 26:04John 21:15-17 (NKJV)
So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.
— John 21:15-17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:33Do we need a new heart?
Short answer: Yes; He takes out the heart of stone. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
▶ 29:35 On God wants to work the next thing in your life Ezekiel 36:26 I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and I’ll give you a new heart some of us have a hard heart toward God some of us are very stubborn how many can say I’m stubborn and you need a new heart and we need that renewal the Bible talks about being renewed let your heart be renewed amen and when your heart starts to become uh hard and it’s not beating or it’s it’s skipping a beat you need a new. Heart he’ll put a new spirit in you he’ll cause you to walk in his statutes and you’ll keep his judgments and do them very important that we ask for this it’s very important that we seek God for this we want to become new creatures we want to become a new.
▶ 30:32 Creation Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge do you have knowledge of the new covenant do you have knowledge of God’s word uh if you do not put God the word of God in your heart in your mind which you can do very easily today it’s going to lead to destruction cuz then you’re going to believe what everybody else is telling you and you may it may not be scriptural at all you got to have knowledge of God’s word and Ephesians 6:10 says put on the full armor of God you got to put on some truth that’s what we’re talking about today being the real deal you can’t be walking around thinking that you’re a a female when you’re a man okay you got to live with some honesty in your you got to be honest with yourself you got to live with some truth.

— Hosea 4:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:32What armor do we need?
Short answer: Belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, and the shield of faith.
▶ 31:31 Hello you know you got to keep your pants up the belt of truth breastplate of righteousness we want to have some moral integrity and obedience to God’s command there’s a scripture that says that it is better to obey and listen to God than to sacrifice it’s good to come in and praise God and praising God will beat back the enemy in your life but if you go home and you disobey you reject God and reject his word you’re going to bring harm in your life you can do all the praying and praising you want and that’s great you did that but you’re leaving the more important thing undone and that is obeying his word.
▶ 32:17 Shoes of God shoes of the gospel of peace sharing the gospel the shield of faith trusting and having confidence in God’s promises and that’s what these Israelites are having trouble with they’re having trouble trusting and having confidence in God’s promises and you need that shield you need that shield every day you got to stay in the fight you know the the the darts are going to come stay in the fight people are dropping their armor they’re quitting they’re like what darts coming at me get me out of here you got to keep the shield of faith up you got to trust and com have confidence in God protect your mind the helmet of salvation the sword of the spirit the word of God is that powerful offensive weapon you need to use it you got to have knowledge of the word of God and so you can use it like I said earlier liars you can go and get the scriptures online you can get the scriptures on all these things and use it as an offensive weapon that’s what Jesus did in the desert.

Ephesians 6:14-16 (NKJV)

— Ephesians 6:14-16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:31Who quit in the Bible?
Short answer: Lot’s wife turned back; Demas loved this world; Jonah was angry Nineveh repented and wanted to die.

Wonderful she looked back behind him with care respect oh not Sodom and Gomorrah what do you mean that place that was sinning and promoting all kinds of bad stuff you care about. That and we today will associate ourselves with the world and not with.
▶ 34:16 God we tie ourselves to the world and not with God it’s important that uh we not turn back 2 Timothy 4:10 Demas because he loved this world he deserted me and has gone back to Thessalonica he got discouraged impatient whatever it was he loved the world more than he loved God and he gave up Jonah 4:1 when he saw that the people of Nineveh repented it displeased Jonah exceedingly I don’t understand this I don’t understand that I don’t understand this guy he became angry I guess Jonah just wanted to see people. Die he just wanted them to. Burn uh I mean I think it’s wonderful when people repent and change don’t you think it’s great I don’t understand this Jonah guy maybe he he went around and he had so much success every time he preached everybody’s just repenting he like I’d like to see God do some judgment I want to see a show I don’t I really I don’t get it uh maybe in a year I’ll understand we’ll come back to that one but he was mad that people.

Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm. Therefore now, O LORD, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live!”
— Jonah 4:1-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 34:16Why do we need patience?
Short answer: Love is patient; we want God to do the quick work, but He doesn’t fight the battle while we sit and watch our show.
▶ 35:35 Repented maybe he was mad because people do this all the time and then they change their mind later which Nineveh did but you know you’re not the judge he became angry to the point where he said take my life from me it is better for me to die than to live he got so upset just discouragement may come in your life you may want to be impatient because you’re not patient remember the first thing about love is love is what patient if you love God you’re going to be what patient if you love your neighbor you’re going to be. Patient especially with children you have to be. Patient and sometimes we don’t want to be. Patient we want God to do the quick work all the time come on you’re supposed to get Satan under my feet shortly.
▶ 36:34 Now 5 seconds I don’t want to have to do any work here I don’t want to have to fight any battle I don’t want to who wants to fight a battle God just do. It I want to sit in my chair uh watching my show God fight the battle for me thank you Jesus done moving on now the cent aran he. Got well that’s a bad. Example in 2019 an estimated 20 million adults in the united states 8.2 of the adult population have had at least one major depressive episode in the past year in adolescence is 3.2 million age 12 to 17 in the united states that’s 13.3% of the population.

Short answer: Yes; with joy you draw water from the wells of salvation, and weeping endures for a night but joy comes in the morning.
▶ 37:27 So a lot of people are getting discouraged and they get depressed and you can do that you can be that way in your christianity as well but we’ve got to fight the battle remember Christ has overcome the world Isaiah 12:3 says with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation you will have uh some deliverance with joy you got to we can smile about this Psalms 30 verse 5 his anger lasts only for a moment but his favor lasts for lifetime weeping may be for a night but rejoicing comes in the morning it doesn’t have to be a long drawn out depressive thing now some battles you have to fight until God comes with his wonders but in your fight you can still smile you can still have joy that’s the point beautiful in its loftiness the joy of the whole earth is mount Zion the city of the great king we are the joy of the whole earth and we need to act like it.
Scripture in this part

— Psalm 48:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 37:27What does waiting look like?
Short answer: I waited patiently for the Lord and He brought me out of the horrible pit; keep working and fighting while you wait.
▶ 38:42 Amen in Psalms 40:1 it says I have something blocked out. Here. And it says he inclined to me he heard my cry he brought me out of the horrible pit out of the miry clay he set my feet upon a rock he establish my steps he put a new song in my mouth praise to our God many will see it in fear and will trust in the Lord this is exactly what God did. With uh Israel out of Egypt he heard their cry he brought them out of Egypt he established them back into Canaan he put a new song they sang new songs to him out they came through the red.
▶ 39:41 Sea and the goal that God had was for people to see and fear and be transformed. Amen but this thing at the beginning is very important what does it say does anybody know the first part of this verse says. What I waited. Patiently for the Lord it’s going to take some. Patience and waiting on God means that you are fighting the battle and yes you’re using the principles of God that work and maybe his wonders aren’t there but you’re waiting and you’re. Fighting.
▶ 40:34 Amen when we wait we have to keep working you have to keep raising kids you have to take time for God prayer fasting hearing his word assembling but you keep waiting and you keep fighting that battle and that’s and God will come through are we willing to obtain the knowledge of the new covenant. Are we asking are we seeking and knocking for God to fulfill his new covenant in us are we fighting the battle with the armor of God and are we willing to wait and hang in there stick with Jesus until he comes with his wonders. Amen and that’s go what God is asking us this morning he is promising that he will come. Through we want to take some time here to respond respond to Jesus this.
