▶ 0:00 And God’s house this morning we’re going to begin this morning with worship and we want to remind you that God is. Building a great army throughout the world and we are part of his army amen. So I’d like to invite you to join and worship you know one of the things that the army does is that they praise they sing they exalt the name of Jesus Christ they lift him up amen so I invite you to stand with me we’re going to sing the mighty one of Israel and we’re gonna clap our hands praise the Lord this morning let’s praise him. Lord Jesus Jesus you have the power and the strength God Lord like you pray like the lord’s prayer says thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven Jesus Lord Jesus like it is in heaven Lord we want to be on earth God and we pray that you come with your heaven you we can pray that you come with your mighty power and your aims God Lord and Jesus you bring that all down right here right here to us this earth Jesus Lord that you would be victorious over all all creation Lord over all the people over all the nations God Jesus please we pray we invite you o Lord we thank you Jesus.

▶ 29:35 Everyone said amen. You find your seats this morning. It’s good to be in God’s house it’s a great day. To be alive. We’re going to get into his word. And we’re going to talk about God’s army this morning it’s nice when uh you know if you can lead worship and speak then you can the songs can really match up well. So our songs this morning were about becoming at mighty army God can do a great work in his church through his people and we want to talk about this that this morning God’s army there is a battle coming in Revelations it talks about the second coming about there being a war in Revelations chapter 11 7 when they finish their testimony the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them overcome them and kill them it’s talking about the two witnesses now in Revelations chapter 13 1 a beast rising up out of the sea it was granted to him to make war with the saints that’s us and to overcome them.

▶ 30:55 Revelation 17:13 they are of one mind and they give all their power and authority to the beast that is the wicked people are giving and the people of the kingdoms are given their authority over to the beast and the beasts these will make war with. The lamb so they’re going to try to fight against the lamb Revelations 13:7 going back to that middle one authority was given him the beast over every tribe tongue nation and all who dwell on the earth will worship him whose names have not been written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. And so we see a coming battle and it’s not necessarily only during the second coming we have a battle going on today. Since Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave we are living in the last days and there is a war being waged by the kingdom of darkness on God’s people against Jesus Christ.

▶ 31:59 Revelations is about the Revelation of Jesus Christ not only about the second coming Jesus Christ is the lamb and he will always overcome. Revelation chapter 13:7. This to me is a warning authority has been given over to the beast over every tribe and tongue and nation it’s a warning to God’s people and why is it worn to God’s people because we know the scriptures say that Christ has given authority to us over scorpions and serpents and over all the power of the enemy. And so when the enemy is trying to do and have his way on earth the church his army needs to answer the call. And rise up.

▶ 32:54 And take authority. Over. The kingdom of darkness and Satan. Jesus Christ always has authority over Satan and Jesus Christ has given us authority over Satan. And yeah Satan’s gonna win some battles but he’s not going to win the war and we’ve got to fight. Revelation 17:17 God has put it into their hearts he’s put into the hearts of the kingdoms of men and wicked people to fulfill his purpose he has a reason he’s doing it for a reason I’m not going to get into the reason because you know I don’t have it all together yet. But. He has a purpose he has a reason for all this happening to be of one mind they’re going to be united to give their kingdom to the beast under the word until the words of God are fulfilled so what you also have to recognize here as we cannot be afraid of some war and battle it’s coming it’s it’s here.

▶ 34:04 See there’s no getting out of it right. And if we know it’s coming if we know it’s here we’ve got to take the steps as Christians. To fight it. Amos chapter 5 verse 18. It says woe to you who desire the day of the Lord for what good is the day of the Lord to you it will be darkness and not light Matthew 7:21 says not everyone who says to me Lord Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven but he who does the will of my father and what is this all saying here a lot of people are wanting God to come and Jesus to come back any minute come right away come no you don’t. Look around. There are billions of people that need Christ. Have we done has the church done a triple check a double check a first check to see if the harvest has been picked.

▶ 35:05 Because it’s going to be a great and terrible day so no don’t be hoping that God’s day is tomorrow. As Christians we’ve got to we’ve got to do the work that needs to be done not only the wicked not only the unbeliever but those in the church who are not doing the will of God Christians who are not following Christ will have a problem on that day. The wicked are going to be punished the lost will be judged Christians have been given a big job to do. Have we done a double check a triple check of the harvest no I haven’t. Foreign. Who is going to invite people into the kingdom in our city are we leaning on big churches are we hoping that we will get missionaries from other nations to do the work for us.

▶ 36:11 Ephesians chapter 6:12 there’s a battle going on today you don’t need to wait for the second coming and all that to be going on there’s a battle happening now Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12 we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities against powers against the rules of darkness of this age and this is Paul writing this and there already is a battle going on even from his time so there’s a battle going on when today right now and we’ve got to fight it Luke 10:19 as I have stated many times already I have given you behold I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you so though there is a battle going on today Christ has given us the authority by his word by his spiritual weapons.

▶ 37:06 We’ve got to be praying we’ve got to be fasting we when you come into God’s house and you are not praising God you are missing a weapon that God has given his people if you want to kick Satan around you better open your mouth and sing and praise God otherwise you’re just leaving it out. And Satan’s going to have all kinds of he’s going to have free reign on you and people around you we’ve got to praise him those scriptures are true and we’ve said them many times out of the mouth of babes and sucklings I’ve ordained praise to still freeze stop the enemy and the avenger. It is so imperative. Churches that coming in people coming in that are not praising God themselves that’s a not good.

▶ 38:08 Or they’re missing out on great uh. first Corinthians 9:27. I discipline my body and bring it into subjection when I have preached to others I myself become disqualified Paul is saying that he is also having a war within his body we know this in the scriptures it says the body the the flesh wars with the spirit and the spirit wars of the flesh there’s also a body that you have going on in your heart your mind and your body especially those young people or whatever your age you are you don’t want to do this you don’t want to do that you’ve got a war going on John 16:33 in the world you will have tribulation so we know there’s a battle a spiritual battle going on not only just a spiritual battle but just living daily life is not easy so you’ve also got a master daily life and you’ve also got to master the spiritual war that is going on so we have a big job amen but we can do it.

▶ 39:14 We are victorious. So we can either sit back. There is a battle going on today there is a battle coming and we can either sit back and let it run our life we can let it ruin our life we can live in fear or we can meet it head on and I believe Jesus wants us to rise up as Christians where we’re at and meet the battle head on Revelation 17:14 the lamb will overcome them who wins the I mentioned these scriptures before the first slide the beast is making war the beasts and the the wicked people are making war with the lamb they’re making war with the saints they’re making war with the the witnesses and here in in chapter 17 the lamb will overcome them for he is the Lord of lords and king of kings and those who are with him are called chosen and faithful are you with Christ are we with Christ.

▶ 40:19 The lamb will overcome as we sang about this morning he is the great I am you’re not going to touch him. You may think you can war against them but they’re not gonna they’re not gonna beat Christ back. Revelation chapter 15:2 I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire and those who had the victory over the beast over his image over his mark over the number of his name standing on the sea of glav having harps of God and they what they what sing. There it is again they’re singing why because they know it’s a spiritual weapon that beats back the enemy they know that God will fight for them when they sing they are victorious over the beast this big bad beast that everybody’s worried about they are victorious they’re victorious over his mark.

▶ 41:25 The mark is on people that are not in the book of life right and so these people are victorious over that mark and they come to these people that have the mark and they say hey get that mark off of you. I got Jesus he can scrub it off of you he can bring you out of that they’re victorious over the mark they’re victorious over that stupid beast in its image they’re victorious. And what do they do they sing. The song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the lamb. John 16:33 be of good cheer I have overcome the world in this world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world we can overcome.

▶ 42:19 Revelations chapter 2 verse 7 to him who what. Overcomes I will give the tree of life I will give the hidden manna I will give and grant him to sit with me on my throne. Man when I read that I was like I want to sit with Christ on his throne. My goodness you know sometimes you think heaven why don’t you know if I’m going to be around Jesus in heaven he’s going to have billions of people well it sit at his throne I I want to be around where he’s at. Amen. Man I want to overcome doesn’t that sound exciting. Man what do you want us you want to just sit back and let the war go by and let some other people Christian oh let them do the work no I want to be there I want to overcome I want to get eat that tree of life I want that hidden man I want to sit next to Christ.

▶ 43:17 How. Sounds exciting to me Matthew 26:53 do you not think now I can pray to my father and he’ll provide me with more than 12 legions of angels Revelation 12:7 war broke out in heaven and michael. And his angels fought with the dragon. So we know here that the angels will fight they are part of God’s army michael and his angels were fighting in the in in in Revelations and they’re also fighting for God’s people now Ezekiel chapter 37-10 I prophesied as he commanded and breath came into them they lived they stood on their feet and exceedingly great.

▶ 44:10 Army and we talked about that two weeks ago last week we’ve been talking about this great army they were brought back to life they were given a new heart they were given his spirit in him and God says I will cause them to walk in my ways. Oh that they had a heart in them people are thinking that God is just a bunch of this and that no no God’s gonna give you a heart a new heart and he’s going to cause you he’s going to fashion you he’s going to make you he’s going to give you that desire to walk in his ways. To follow him but we need a new heart. If you think you’re going to do it just by reading the scriptures. And putting it in your mind you know you got to say God I want that new heart God I want your spirit in me I want that drive to be cause to follow you in your ways.

▶ 45:13 And so God is asking you again this morning do you have a new heart and I’ve told you I’ve asked you or we’ve brought this up many times I’ve said it almost like a a hundred times now. Get a new heart get a new spirit God get his spirit in you. And you will know if you have a new heart and you’ll know if you got his spirit in you if he is causing you to walk in his ways now there is a mighty army speaking uh spoken of in Joel chapter 2. A large and mighty army comes and he’s talking about the day of the Lord such as never was of old nor ever shall be in the ages to come. A fire devours before them and behind them of flame burns the land is like the garden of eden before them and behind them a desolate wilderness nothing shall escape them.

▶ 46:15 Now this could mean a lot of things I’m just going to tell you what I think okay. Now we have a mighty army that never was of old or ever will be don’t you want to be that kind of person you know and I don’t know if God’s gonna come back for another thousand years but you know what today I want to be counted in that army. The army the likes this world has never seen the army of God that that the that will never come again their special their special force. I want to be on God’s special forces amen. A fired of hours before them and behind them of flame burns nothing escapes them because their labor is in the harvest nothing needs to be gleaned behind them they are thorough they go and they’re finding out if everyone has they’ve checked everything do you want to be in the kingdom do you want to be in the kingdom why not they’re just they keep hitting it they got a fire.

▶ 47:22 And those who rejected their word are still affected behind them there’s still a flame burning behind them of people that rejected that word and they’re still in their conscious mind deciding are they going to follow Christ. With a noise like chariots over mountaintops they leap I mean think about that. They are fit warriors they are strong they are capable they’re disciplined they’re ready for battle can you imagine running up this mountain now now we were hiking on Friday night and we were just going up a little no right and then we went up a little further and of course we turned back and we’re we’re gonna go up higher another time but this army is scaling the mountain and they’re leaping over that mountain they’re strong and how many know we need to exercise our spiritual man so that we become strong soldiers for Jesus Christ that we can leap over the mountain we can leap over the obstacles that come in our lives the obstacles that come to Christians.

▶ 48:36 You know throughout the world we don’t have nations like America everywhere where there’s oh you know we’re all fighting for freedom of speech and people are allowed to say and speak the word no certain countries you’re going to die if you speak the word. You see there’s a there’s an army coming that’s going to be leaping over those obstacles they are going to be fierce. And I want to be counted with that army. Lord Jesus I just pray right now. God for this church Lord for me personally God Lord that you begin to fashion us and fashion me Lord to become a warrior like this group in Joel chapter 2 Lord Jesus Lord a strong people fighting for the kingdom of God Jesus right now we just pray that you ask we pray and ask the Lord you do that work in us we thank you this morning sorry I just wanted to stop and pray for that Joel chapter 2 verse 5 like a strong people set in battle array.

▶ 49:51 So this army has their armor on they have they are arrayed for battle Ephesians chapter 6 11 put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil the breastplate of righteousness the your feet shod with the gospel of peace the shield of faith the helmet of salvation the sword of the spirit we’ve got to have that sword it says it’s the word of God praying always with all prayer and supplication so what you’re what you’ve got to realize here very simple we all know this that it’s not us going out with guns and ar-15s and bayonets and uh you know our uh. Bulletproof vests and our uh combat boots on and we’re gonna go and start killing people who don’t believe in just that’s not what this is at all God’s talking about a spiritual army who is equipped with the spiritual weapons who is equipped with spiritual armor that they can go up any obstacle fight against any any enemy and win the battle amen and we cannot use our own opinions we cannot use our own uh debate skills maybe you have some skills but you’ve got to make sure you are using the gospel the God’s word not your baloney.

▶ 51:19 Before them the people writhe in pain all faces are drained of color Psalms 9 verse 20 says put them in fear o Lord that the nations may know themselves to be but men this world that we’re living in today needs a little fear of God not a little actually I think a lot of the fear of God and so this army this battle people are going to be shaking in their shoes because of this army that God is going to raise. People are going to be like oh where who’s coming oh no can you imagine. You know the rich people shaking in their shoes the academic oh the smart people that are that are telling us oh I’ve evolved and I’m so smart I’m involved to the pig as my um. You know they can debate they can explain their uh all the scientific stuff oh well but what about when the fear of God comes.

▶ 52:19 Because there’s an army a mighty army of God coming and speaking words of truth and they’re shaking in their shoes and they realize that God is real because his fear is coming. They run like mighty men first Corinthians 9:27 I discipline my body and bringing it under subjection subjection and preach to others Paul. Is talking about running the race they run like mighty men you’ve got to discipline your body you have to exercise your spiritual man if you are not exercising your spiritual man by praying and fasting and worshiping and reading the word if you don’t exercise your spiritual man you’re gonna be weak. They climbed the wall like men of war again obstacles.

▶ 53:13 They overcome the obstacles. Everyone marches in formation we’re still talking about this army in Joel chapter 2. Okay everyone marches in formation and they do not break ranks breaking ranks you’re they’re not fighting for position they’re not trying to put down somebody else in the church they’re not trying to they’re not dissatisfied where God has placed them in the body and they’re not fighting with one another trying to be like oh I want his position I want that no none of that is going on they’re fighting faithfully in the where God has placed them and everybody is pulling their weight. Verse 8 they do not push one another.

▶ 54:08 A lot of this is going on in the church today it’s going to take some maturity out of Christians it’s going to take some seeking God it’s going to take some people that are dedicated to the purpose of the captain of the host that is Jesus Christ they do not push one another they’re not dividing against one another they’re in unity in Ephesians chapter 4 3 it says endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace they have peace with one another and they are making war with the enemy not with one another. Everyone marches in his own column though they lunge between the weapons they are not cut down. Foreign. Comes they are not cut down they are not slain they are not hit.

▶ 55:07 Somehow I don’t know how. But they’re not cut down I mean my goodness don’t you want to be like that. Man. Leaping over the obstacles when you fight man nothing is touching you you’re like you know the matrix guy. Dodge and everything. Joel chapter 2 verse 11. The Lord thunders at the head of his army his forces are beyond number and mighty are those who obey his command. Might are those who obey his command if you’re not going to obey his command. You’re not going to be mighty. And if you’re sitting there saying well you know I don’t want to obey this command you need a new heart so I’ll just go back down the line here you need a new heart you need to get that stony heart out of you you’re gonna need to get a new heart and get his spirit in you and he’ll cause you to walk in his ways to where you want to obey him and now you’re in the army and now you’re mighty because you’re obeying his commands.

▶ 56:20 Joel chapter 3:16 the Lord will roar from Zion that’s us from his church utter his voice from Jerusalem the heavens and earth will shake shake. Not just earth but heaven not just heaven but earth the heavens and the earth will shake. And the Lord will be a shelter for his people and the strength of the children of Israel don’t get all worried about the second coming oh we’re going to be persecuted we’re going to be all Jesus is still going to be a shelter for his people. He’s still going to be a strength for his church. Hebrews 12:22 you have come to mount Zion to the city of the living God the heavenly Jerusalem to an innumerable company of angels see the the angels are not just fighting around Jesus they’re also here this morning.

▶ 57:23 When you go home you have angels with you. Right in this room here we have angels with us and they are fighting for us when we go out and we speak God’s word and God’s truth we have angels with us. Foreign. To the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven to God the judge of all to the spiritual just been made perfect we have come to mount Zion that is where we are at right now the gathering and assembly of God’s people. We’re allowing the judge of all to the spirit of just men made perfect you see you want in your church you want people who have been uh grown in maturity spirits of just men made perfect made complete you need to have some mature people in the church.

▶ 58:27 To Jesus the mediator of the new covenant and we know what the new covenant is because I’ve been talking about it for weeks Jesus Christ and the new covenant Matthew 6:10 thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We want. Jesus to do in our church in our country in our world what is being done in heaven and he is ruling he is reigning he is he is awesome. And people today are mud mudding his name that they just speak horrible things about Christ not in heaven. You know in heaven everything’s different. You know there’s no speaking down in the name of Jesus Christ you see on earth oh we say whatever we want.

▶ 59:24 And how many know we want heaven to come down to earth we want earth again to respect honor give glory to the name of Jesus Christ. Daniel chapter 4:35 he does according to his will in the army of heaven. And so God is reminding us today the battle is now today the battle is coming. We know that the scriptures say that the tares. And the wheat grow together. So we cannot get all upset about. All of the sin all of the wicked people that keep rising we know it’s going to happen but we’ve got to rise to the challenge too.

Will we continue to grow to fight the good fight and to run our race Paul is talking about a race that you have to run you only have so much time in your life to run your race to grow in Christ to learn his word to follow him to live for him to grow maturity and to get his message out to get bring people into the kingdom you only have so much time to run your race.
