From the sermonThe Acceptable Other Harvest 11/19/2017 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer teaches that God has more after salvation for the untaught “other harvest”: the baptism of power, his glory, the divine nature, knowing God as Job did, and wisdom from above. He warns that many, like Israel at Sinai and the disciples who left in John 6, refuse to draw near, and urges believers to be like the Bereans who searched the scriptures daily.

What did Cornelius and the Ephesians show?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: God filled people who didn’t yet believe in Jesus with the Holy Ghost. Many fear God and do right but were never taught there’s anything after salvation.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:00 Remember last week God gave promises to all the acceptable and remember Cornelius and the people at Ephesus did not even believe in Jesus yet you understand that all right this shows us how powerful God is he comes to the unbeliever and he fills them with his Holy Ghost. Are you with me now if he can do that can he do it to believers yes all right and they were acceptable because they feared God and [unclear] did what was right and there’s multitudes of people out there that fear God they depart from evil they don’t [unclear] flagrantly sin and they try to do what’s right and a lot of Christians do not know there’s anymore after salvation. They really don’t you just get saved you get water baptized and you wait for the rapture that’s about it okay they don’t know there’s anything after salvation because they’re never taught it but God came to the unlearned the untaught and he filled them with his Holy Spirit and did other things even though they didn’t know Jesus yet and even though they didn’t know there was other things after believing in God and salvation are you with me.

Is the baptism of power for today?

▶ Watch this part (1:22)

Short answer: Yes—poured on all flesh as with Cornelius, a Roman Gentile; the promise is to you, your children and those afar off. He says those who call tongues the devil are “full of baloney.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:22 [unclear] so here is some more after salvation I will pour out my spirit of power on how many all flesh did he do that in Acts he did he did Cornelius was a Roman Gentile.. A non-Jewish. Person all right and he came and he poured out his spirit he fulfilled he did what he said he would do and if you’re in a flesh body you’re a candidate for the baptism of power the Holy Ghost is a baptism of power supernatural ability to be a witness for God how many needs some supernatural power to be a witness for God seven days a week yes and it’s for us and the people who tell you that it isn’t for today and [unclear] that tongues are the Devil and all this stuff they’re just full of baloney the Bible never says tongues are of the Devil the Bible never says that the baptism of the Holy Ghost stopped at any time are you with me the promise is unto you [unclear] your children and those what afar off the baptism of the Holy Ghost continues through every generation.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 2:39 (NKJV)

For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

— Acts 2:39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:25 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What do the promises include?

▶ Watch this part (2:31)

Short answer: The earth filled with his glory, seen by all flesh, and being transformed into his image—taking on the divine nature: love, joy, peace, patience, self-control. The Spirit baptism doesn’t come with water baptism.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:31 Amen we got to stop believing the lies out there and believe the Bible and we got to seek for these things now and he also says all the earth all the mankind shall be filled with the glory of the Lord poured out is an action filled is an action all right the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and what all flesh shall see it together [unclear] see is an action filled is an action pour out is an action something’s happening [unclear] remember Cornelius nor the people [unclear] of Ephesus were baptized before they got [unclear] they didn’t and what I’m trying to say is the baptism of Holy Ghost did not come in water baptism like these people are trying to say it comes when [unclear] it comes and when it comes you know it let me tell you it’s a baptism of power has nothing to do with water baptism okay.

▶ 3:28 we all [unclear] we are seeing another action word the glory of the Lord are being transformed to the same image the divine nature of God. Transform when we see the glory all of us that see the glory he transforms us metamorphosizes us into his image that divine nature of God now how many realize we can’t have a problem with God giving us his divine nature I mean we want to be like God right we may not be able to create the world and do the supernatural stuff but we can take on his divine nature of love joy peace long-suffering patience goodness kindness temperance and faith all these things the divine nature of God goodness knowledge self-control.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

— 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:37 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

2 Peter 1:4 (NKJV)

by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

— 2 Peter 1:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:39 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What if you rule out the Holy Ghost baptism?

▶ Watch this part (4:24)

Short answer: You rule out the divine nature. Jesus said the Spirit would lead you into all truth.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:24 Patience. that’s the divine [unclear] aren’t you glad God’s patient with you yeah don’t you think you need to be patient with yourself and others yeah. Aren’t you glad God uses self-control and doesn’t destroy the earth and doesn’t destroy you well don’t you think you need [unclear] a little self-control and not destroy yourself. amen a lot of people don’t even know these scriptures they don’t even know there’s a lot more than salvation and believing in Christ and going to heaven but there is a lot more and it makes all the difference in your walk here on earth and it’s done by what by the spirit you see this baptism of Holy Spirit is important Jesus in talking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit said he will teach you lead you into all truth he was talking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit not God’s spirit that comes and dwells in us when we accept and ask God to forgive us our sin and come and live in us we’re talking about an experience with God that empowers you can I hear an amen we got to get this knowledge and we got to get this knowledge used for working in our life and so this Holy Ghost is important and if you rule out the Holy Ghost you just ruled out the divine nature do you want to rule out the divine nature I would hope

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 16:13 (NKJV)

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

— John 16:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:21 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

How did Job know about the Redeemer?

▶ Watch this part (5:55)

Short answer: John 17:3 and Hebrews 8:11: you can know God. Job, long before Christ, knew his Redeemer lived, would stand on the earth at the last, and that in his flesh he would see God—because he knew God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:55 not because let me tell you I know most of you you could use a little more divine nature and you know me I can use a little more divine nature am I right [unclear] yeah but when you rule out the Holy Ghost baptism you just ruled it out. John 17:3 this is eternal life that they may know the only true God and Jesus Christ may know Hebrews 8:11 all shall know me from the least to the greatest you can know God. Now let me bring it in perspective Job 2,000 years before Christ came Job knew Jesus Jesus wasn’t even born yet Jesus didn’t come into flesh that God in the flesh he wasn’t even born yet and yet Job knew him he knew his redeemer lived who’s the redeemer Jesus Christ who was slain before the foundation of the world Jesus was killed before the foundation of the world the plan was put in operation before [unclear] God created anything can I hear an amen I’m giving you a Bible yeah that’s God’s plan and Jesus was alive in the Old Testament he was alive before the world began.

▶ 7:20 And he’s going to die for the sins of the world and Job knew this he didn’t have the concordances and the reference books and the great theologians of the day but he knew God he knew Jesus and because he knew Jesus he knew Jesus was coming again he knew that there was an end of the world and Jesus was going to return how did he know this because he knew God. He knew there would be a resurrection of the dead how did he know this 2,000 years before there’s not enough scriptures. Because he knew God. See he went on past salvation into knowing God.

▶ 8:18 2,000 years before God came in the flesh as Jesus the first time Job knew all this and I’m gonna give you the scripture. Job 19:25 I know my redeemer lives who’s the redeemer Jesus he’s not [unclear] he lives I know him I know this guy. He shall stand at last on the earth at the end on the earth that’s the second return the end of the world Job knew this why cuz he knew God. after my skin is destroyed after I die Job said this I know now I know is not in the original but it is proper because it is carrying forward the subject of the paragraph here are you with me see I know that [unclear] in my flesh I will see God I’m gonna die my my bones are gonna be rotted my skin is gonna rot and go to the dust but in my flesh I am going to see him.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 17:3 (NKJV)

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

— John 17:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:15
Scripture (NKJV)

Hebrews 8:11 (NKJV)

None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

Scripture (NKJV)

For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!

— Job 19:25-27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:30

What is the difference between knowing God and knowing about him?

▶ Watch this part (9:35)

Short answer: Knowing his nature lets you recognize what he wouldn’t say. Don’t wait for the rapture—“all that nonsense,” he says—press into your inheritance.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:35 Why I’m gonna be resurrected. You see the power in knowing God instead of knowing about God. As a young Christian I used to tell people I can’t answer you right now but you are wrong because I know God and it’s not his nature to speak and do what you’re saying and I would go get the answer from the scriptures and come back and tell him yeah here are the scriptures for it because I knew God I knew his nature he would not talk that way or he would not behave that way are you with me. Does this help you get excited about knowing God yeah there’s more to salvation there’s more after salvation don’t be content with waiting for the rapture and all that nonsense press in and get the inheritance that’s been offered to you all flesh there’s no minister above you there’s no pope above you there’s no priest above you you are promised all of these things after you believe in Christ that’s a good amen.

How do we know that we know him?

▶ Watch this part (10:49)

Short answer: 1 John 2:3: if we keep his commandments. Would Jesus curse, lose his temper or be impatient with his spouse? Yearning overcame his own shyness to lift his hands.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:49 My heart yearns within me does your heart yearn for Jesus. Does your heart yearn to know him and maintain that relationship and nothing can distract you from setting aside time to fellowship with your Lord and savior Jesus Christ nothing can distract you from taking on his nature and getting it strengthened in you because there’s a yearning for him I. Mean we raise your hands that God give me that yearning yes. you see Job had a yearning for God and he knew God intimately and so he knew God’s plan. hallelujah in [unclear] first John 2:3 we know that we know him if we keep his commandments that’s the measuring stick oh.

▶ 11:51 you may not be committing adultery you may not be stealing or killing. but are you using profanity [unclear] would Jesus use profanity. are you losing your temper [unclear] would Jesus lose his temper. are you impatient with your spouse. You see. We know that we know him the more you obey his commandments are you afraid to lift your hands like I was when I came to Christ oh my God it was a killer to lift my hands when the Bible says to lift your hands. Are you afraid to lift your voice and say thank you Jesus I. Was timid it took everything for me to [unclear] say and do anything I would turn forty shades of red I would light up a room.

▶ 12:54 But see I wanted to know him my yearning for him overcame my bashful restrictions. Amen. Hallelujah the more you know him the more you want to obey him. you see I want to please my wife Rebecca I don’t want to do anything to hurt her there’s a drive there’s a yearning and it causes me to lay aside my temporary desires and please her it’s the same way with God hallelujah. Hallelujah through desire plans are accomplished the Bible says.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 John 2:3 (NKJV)

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

— 1 John 2:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:42

What wisdom should we ask for?

▶ Watch this part (13:47)

Short answer: James 1:5: ask and God gives liberally. Wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy, without partiality or hypocrisy. Most pray for things or for their spouse, not themselves.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:47 how many will raise your hands [unclear] God give me a big desire. Yes he will do that and that will be a power a force moving you to break those barriers and keep obeying him. James 1:5 asks for wisdom from above not earthly wisdom not intellect and it’s given to what all men how much liberally he’ll give you [unclear] most Christians never pray for wisdom always praying for a new car a house a better job more money.. You know especially their spouse always praying for their spouse God straighten them up but they never pray for themselves to straighten themselves up and isn’t that our nature yeah well we pray for the brother in church [unclear] driving us nuts but we never pray for ourselves [unclear] driving other people nuts.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

James 1:5 (NKJV)

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

— James 1:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:07
Scripture (NKJV)

James 3:17 (NKJV)

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

— James 3:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:48 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Why do some refuse more?

▶ Watch this part (14:49)

Short answer: They like their sins and don’t want them exposed. God brought Israel out to bring them to himself (Exodus 19:4, 17), but the people stood afar off (Exodus 20:21).

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:49 The wisdom from above is first pure then peaceable. Full of mercy and good fruits gentle willing to submit willing to yield to other people’s desires and wants without hypocrisy and without partiality that’s the wisdom from above. Amen we need it folks we need the wisdom from above and God said all you got to do is ask for it that’s after salvation you can get wisdom. Some people don’t want to know God they don’t want to know Jesus they don’t want the Holy Spirit baptism that that’s their decision they don’t want to come into his image or have his wisdom because they like the little sins that they’re doing.

▶ 15:54 And they don’t want them exposed that’s the bottom line all they want is their religion their little corral they build around and. they want to escape eternal judgment that’s [unclear] don’t tell me about anything after salvation don’t tell me about the nature of God I like where I’m at right here I’ll prove it to you Exodus 19:17 in the beginning of the chapter God said I brought you out of Egypt to bring you to myself the whole nation was brought out of bondage not so they could go [unclear] free you were not slaves anymore he brought them out and brought all those plagues to bring them to himself and. then we find him telling Moses to bring the people up to meet with me.

▶ 16:48 Okay now down here in verse 17 Moses brought the people out to meet with God Moses did what God told him to do but in between see God they said oh no we can’t go meet with God he’ll kill us he’ll slay us why they didn’t want to be exposed folks. they were [unclear] they were worshipping idols in the desert with the cloud right there and the voice of God right there they were still worshiping idols. Are you there. And so Moses brought the people out to meet with God and here’s the people’s response chapter 20 verse 21 the people stood afar off. Okay you go ahead and enter into God and you get the baptism of the Holy Ghost and you get to know God and all that but me I’m standing back here is that happening in the American church today absolutely.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Exodus 19:17 (NKJV)

And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

— Exodus 19:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:50 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

Exodus 20:21 (NKJV)

So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.

— Exodus 20:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:35 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Why are churches afraid to draw near?

▶ Watch this part (17:52)

Short answer: Because of what they’ve been taught—radio, TV and bookstores repeating the same things. Israel wanted deliverance and life after death, but not to meet God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 17:52 We’re scared to death of God the God who loves us the God who died for us we’re scared to death of him why. Because the way we’ve been taught. Radio tv. Christian bookstores repeat the same. Religious stuff over and over and over and all you got to do is decide what pool you want to be in and then you just stay reading that literature I’m at this pool over here that’s for me I’m gonna stay right here instead of getting to the Bible and letting God give you these great promises. Moses [unclear] drew nigh to the thick darkness where God was but all were what invited and only Moses went in you go and you hear from God and tell us and we’ll obey [unclear] he went in heard from God come back they didn’t obey.

Why did disciples leave Jesus in John 6?

▶ Watch this part (18:54)

Short answer: They followed for miracles and bread; when he said eat of me and live by me, they called it a hard saying and walked no more with him—believers rejecting knowing him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 18:54 They just didn’t want a meeting with God they didn’t want to know God they didn’t want to be filled with the spirit of God they didn’t want God’s [unclear] they didn’t want anything but deliverance from Egypt and a promise of life after death it’s right there in the Old Testament let’s go to the new testament John 6:57 through 66 at the beginning of this chapter the multitudes are following because of the miracles they love to see hey did you see that blind guy [unclear] that crippled [unclear] can you believe that that guy got up and wow wow man it was like a big theatrical performance to them oh that guy with the [unclear] didn’t have a hand [unclear] oh did you see that hand grow on oh amazing. Yeah I read the first chapter it’s the beginning of the chapter that they followed him because they saw the miracles he did and then he fed them [unclear] now I got a free meal ah.

▶ 19:53 And Jesus said you’re not following me for me you’re following me because you see the miracles and you follow me because you ate of the loaves and the fishes that’s why you’re following me and then we get down to here Jesus speaks to this multitude and asks for commitment asks for responsibility he says he that eats of me and he described who he was the bread from heaven when we eat food does our body get nourishment and give us energy to perform yes. Jesus is saying when we eat of him we will live by him he is going to give us the spiritual nourishment he’s going to give us the spiritual life to live for Christ. but see [unclear] I can make a commitment to Jesus and to follow him so.

▶ 20:53 They replied this is a what hard saying that sounds like a lot of American Christians yeah. This is unattainable you’re in a delusional world this can’t happen we’re just sinners saved by grace every Christian [unclear] I’m just a sinner saved by grace well there’s more to you being a sinner saved by grace. all right and then [unclear] says does this offend you does this cause you to turn away from the truth that I said eat of me partake of me live by me. He said there are some of you that believe not now from that time many of the disciples went back and walked with him no more so this multitude they were what disciples they believed in Jesus.

▶ 21:54 They believed he could do miracles they believed he could feed them. But they didn’t believe that they could know him and his power working in their life. To live every day the Christian life. Are you there. They didn’t believe there’s anything after faith water baptism and going to heaven. They walked no more with him these believers walked no more with him the people at Ephesus and Cornelius’s house they were unbelievers and they were filled with the Holy Ghost and followed God here the believers rejected him is it possible for believers to reject knowing Jesus Christ absolutely.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 6:57 (NKJV)

As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.

— John 6:57 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:18 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

John 6:60 (NKJV)

Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?”

— John 6:60 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:56 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

John 6:66 (NKJV)

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.

— John 6:66 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:44 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

How should we respond?

▶ Watch this part (22:58)

Short answer: Acts 17:11: like the Bereans, receive the word readily and search the scriptures daily. He says Thessalonian Jews traveled 50 miles to drive Paul out. Believe the Bible above experience.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 22:58 but [unclear] here’s [unclear] different they’re like the Bereans Acts 17:11 these Bereans were more noble than those in Thessalonica in that they received the word with all readiness willingness of mind and searched the scriptures daily whether these things were so oh that we had a yearning for God that when we hear things we would go to the scriptures ourselves and search it out whether they’re telling us the truth or not but we turn the radio on we turn the television on we get a book out of the Christian bookstore that’s [unclear] the number one hip book and we listen to Christian music that repeats over and over lies. The better word is deception they act like all they’re saying is all there is to say.

▶ 23:59 And they handicap God’s people. From really being strong getting filled with the Holy Ghost seeing and being filled with his glory being changed to his nature and having the wisdom from above all come after salvation. Now. just so you know in Thessalonica. Paul went there and preached and the Jews rose up and ran him out of town they actually ran him out he had to run for his life okay but also you got to know that some in Thessalonica believed not everyone in [unclear] the city of Thessalonica rose up and rejected Paul and his preaching. these Thessalonica Jews were so adamant and hard-headed and one-sided that when they found out Paul went to Berea and people were turning to Christ in Berea they traveled 50 miles 50 miles to the city of Berea to chase Paul out of that city that’s how adamant they were about their religion.

▶ 25:17 isn’t that true in America today. We will defend our religion to the end instead of going to the scriptures like the Bereans did and find out if it was so is there more than salvation. Can I possess these things and the Berean people did hallelujah. Beautiful very beautiful story these are the unlearned harvests waiting to hear more a more complete and unreligious word is that a true statement there’s a lot of people that don’t know there’s anything after salvation I. Know there’s millions of people in America been taught that the Holy Ghost baptism is not for today tongues are of the Devil and they can’t show you one scripture to prove that stuff.

▶ 26:17 because they didn’t experience it then it can’t be are you there hmmm you know we got to believe the Bible above our experience and then our experience will come up we don’t bring the Bible down to our experience. Alleluia. The question is will we accept and preach it.

Points to check: Job “2,000 years before Christ”; Thessalonian Jews traveled “50 miles” to Berea; “Exodus 1917” as spoken (Exodus 19:17). Sensitive content kept as spoken: those who say tongues are the devil “just full of baloney”; “waiting for the rapture and all that nonsense”; Christian radio, TV, bookstores and music repeating “lies ... deception”; believers who reject knowing Jesus; Thessalonian Jews “so adamant and hard-headed and one-sided”.
