▶ 0:09 Good morning and welcome those online we want to thank you for joining us those in the room it’s good to be in God’s house we’re starting this morning with the message so let’s find our seats and uh let’s get right into it um we’re going to be talking about Christian evolution when I was a kid uh they had this thing called pokemon I don’t know if you guys ever know what these are if you had kids at the time you probably were like I’ve heard of that I know that and uh they the the the the the best card the most famous card was uh charizard I you guys remember that charizard when I was a kid if you had a charizard it was worth. $100 and uh uh char he starts as charmander goes to charmeleon you know and it it’s evolution it’s a bunch it’s it’s kitty.

▶ 1:08 Stuff the definition of evolve is to undergo evolutionary. Change it the synonyms for evolve are pro progress grow. Develop and an example sentence is her company has evolved from a hobby into a thriving business. Business now we have been talking about macro evolution or darwinian. Evolution and as depicted here in this uh picture uh in past lessons we’ve showed how Darwin evolution states that we evolved from nothing of course they don’t say that but we evolved from nothing to where we are. Today and they make the claims without evidence and they have lied about fossils they have found like lucy the pilt down man and others.

▶ 2:11 In past lessons we showed the evidence of God’s design in our bodies through dna and cell replication if you remember that and I went over that and um I don’t have time to go over it right now but we can uh go over that again another time and public schools still teach the atheistic darwinian evolution teaching in schools to children and to high schoolers and such and I say it’s uh religious teaching. Because. They um. Sorry they have kicked out the Bible right they have kicked out the Bible saying saying that we are trying to teach religion when they are doing the same thing and I say they’re doing the same thing because they don’t have evidence they don’t have prove and they.

▶ 3:12 Lie so this drawing itself is a lie there’s no uh transitional species from a fish to an animal from an ape to a man and the more we understand of the human body and the world and the universe the more comp complex we see things are it’s not the more simple things are so we are not accidental plato the earth is not an accident the universe and down to the minutest detail it’s not an accident it’s not just here by choice but we have a hypocrisy in the Christian world. And macro evolutionists may lie about about fossils the origin of the earth the complexity but believers are lying and teaching untruths about our responsibility to change to grow to the word is evolve into the image of God into a new.

▶ 4:21 Creature without scriptures the evidence we refuse to change to evolve into the new creature I have a picture here uh the pot calling the kettle black right if you see the bottom they have the burn marks um from the the f the flame right and both the kettle has the black marks and the pot and the pot saying you’re you got stuff on. You and uh I’m pointing out you know we call out the evolutionists and we point at them and say they got all these problems but we as believers have the same issue we refuse to change into the new creature that God has that goal that he has for.

▶ 5:13 Us and we want to give evolutionists in the world when they look at Christians uh we want them to see the results amen we want them to see the results of a new creature a new creation we want them to see the results of the somebody forming into the image of God in second Timothy. 3:1 it talks about in the last days what it’s going to be like perilous times in ch in verse five at the bottom it says they have a form of godliness but deny its power from such people turn away so the people that are listed here are people that have a form of godliness meaning they believe in God they have some form of connection to God but they deny the power that Christ has to change them into his image into his new.

▶ 6:13 Creation going back to the first verse in the last days perilous times will come so the last days in hebrew chap 1 verse one Paul writes and says uh in these last days he has spoken to us by his son so in Paul’s time uh until now those are called the last days when it’s referred to the last days it’s talking about from the time Jesus rose up until the present okay so 2,000 years last. Days and the last day is different and the end is different than the last days but we just want to understand the time frame in the last days perilous times will come men will be lovers of themselves I don’t know if you’ve ever met anybody who loves thems uh maybe you love yourself and maybe you’re supposed to but you’re you’re not the top right you love God you love your neighbor and what yourself number.

▶ 7:17 Three lovers of money boasters proud blasphemers disobedient to parents unthankful unholy unloving unforgiving giving slanderers without self-control brutal despisers of good traitors headstrong haughty lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God and so this is talking about believers it’s not just talking about the world here we know the world the world is in wickedness they’re in the kingdom of darkness they’re in sin you know the world is in the world they’re not following truth and right. And what Paul is writing to Timothy about out here is that people in the church or believers that have accepted Christ are not changing from these behaviors they’re not changing from someone who is proud and boastful they’re not changing from someone who is disobedient to their mother and their father to good parents Bible says children obey your parents in the Lord you got to remember that um in the Lord if your parents are wanting you to something bad you don’t have to follow them but you.

▶ 8:34 Also you can live a life that is honorable to your parents if you don’t have a parent if you’re an orphan you can live a life that is honorable and honoring your father in heaven. Amen unthankful unholy. Unloving unforgiving. Unloving is someone not having a natural. Affection uh parents that don’t have a natural affection for their children and they neglect their children that is not right that natural affection comes from God and we need to. Um you know they’re they’re the top loving your neighbor your children and your spouse.

▶ 9:27 Homosexuals have unnatural affection for the same. Sex. And oops pop up. Here. Unforgiving believers they hold a lot of heart they harbor bitterness they har harbor unforgiveness in their hearts toward people toward things that have happened in the past and you have to deal with that unfor. Forgiveness and there are steps to do. That but we know in the scriptures of the parable of the man who would not forgive his neighbor of $10 when he was forgiven a million dollars by the king right you got to remember that story we’re unwilling to forgive our neighbor when Christ has forgiven us a great debt.

▶ 10:29 Slanders without self-control brutal despisers of good brutal we uh accuse people without evidence that’s not right what’s happening in our justice system where people are being accused not given um what is the word doe process due process it’s very important when so you can’t just accuse somebody and all of a sudden you know you can’t accuse me as uh this or that a thief and then and then all of a sudden it’s truth no you have to have evidence and proof you don’t just kick people out of the church you can’t you can’t just do that that’s brutal it’s wrong you have to have there has to be some evidence and truth despisers of good lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God of course we know this. And um.

▶ 11:24 Yeah I’ll stop there traitors head strong haughty people uh betray one another spouses betray one another it’s not right parents betray their children and this is happening in the church and Paul is telling Timothy they have a form of godliness but they deny the power they’re denying the power of God to change them from someone who is someone who betrays to somebody who is faithful right when you look at this list and you compare it to the fruits of the spirit list you see there is a big difference amen love joy peace patience kindness goodness faith they’re the opposite of these and that is what God wants us to change and form.

▶ 12:19 Into and Paul says from such people turn away don’t follow the believer that is doing these things and headed this route follow the person who has the the power of God follow Christ himself who has the power in the new covenant he says all can know me all shall know me from the least to the greatest amen it’s not just a can or a maybe all shall there are people that are knowing Christ have a relationship with Christ because they have decided that they’re not going to sit back and let the power of God go by they want. Him evolutionists in 1904 they had the world.

▶ 13:13 Fair and they Ota Benga from Congo on the right he was exhibited as a missing link and he was just a man from africa on the bottom left he was uh listed as the missing link I don’t no name for him but he was put on display in the world’s fair they had what were called they called or what we call today human zoos they’re putting these people on display on top left they called it the savage olympics when they would. Um do archery and shoot their bows and arrows and in the middle we have here a drawing from ernest heckle who helped william mcgee in 1904 at the world a and this was what he was trying to get across uh the bottom you have number 11 if you see in the bottom middle you see the big nose they had a problem with Jews and it’s true and they’re trying to say oh you know Jews are low in the list and as you go up higher number five is a black person and then number one is the highest most evolved white male right so this is coming from erns heckle who is a german and uh you know this is before you know nazi.

▶ 14:46 Germany Darwin’s book if you didn’t know the whole title starts with the origin of uh species and then at the end it says something about the favored race races so the evolutionary um teachings come from a position of racism you got to remember that when he shows the drawings going from an ape and a gorilla to a african black person to a white person he’s trying to sh show that the white people are. Superior okay that’s what’s going on and the church and believers do this same thing in John 4:9 we find it Jews have no dealings with. Samaritans so the Jews that were being treated inferior turned around and treated the samaritans inferior they said we are superior you are inferior we will not deal with you you’re no good Luke 9:49 we saw someone casting out demons in your name and we forbade him because he did not follow with us because he’s not with us he’s inferior because you don’t go to my church you’re inferior I’m.

▶ 16:08 Superior this is and uh here so up here we have the Jews right and in the middle this is the disciples of Jesus the disciples of Jesus are saying this they’re not uh they’re telling them someone to shut up because they weren’t part of their group and Jesus replied and saido not forbid him for he who is not against us is on our side John 10:. 20 many of them said Jesus has a demon and is mad why do you listen to him so again the Jews felt that they were superior and over the son of God can you imagine the pride right and we’re we’re like that today and believers are like that today and the world is like that today and the scientists now we think we are superior and above the son of God Jesus.

▶ 17:17 Christ and we say that guy Jesus he is intolerant or he loved and he didn’t ask for nothing from me. Uh but the Jews at the time they said he has a demon why do you listen to him or in other words you shouldn’t listen to him you should listen to. Me uh not long ago before carmen and I got married we went down riverside into downtown and we were walking and uh there was some commotion going on in a group um you know they were taking videos and talking to people walking by and and you know I wanted to know what the commotion was all about and so we go up and we talk to them and and they’re talking about you know you know they got these papers out and they’re um talking about what they believe and that they started asking like are you you know look at me and they’re like oh you’re a white guy uh and they looked at my wife and like who’s your father is your father brown or black person trying to say that if you’re you know black for sure uh or latin that you would be your superior over other people and I was just shocked you know and I’m standing I’m like.

▶ 18:43 What and the scripture that came to my mind uh was this scripture right here and Peter dealt with something very similar and was dealing with this in himself. Uh if you remember the story of Cornelius Cornelius is a Gentile and he has a vision he has a he’s serving God and he’s he fears God he wants to follow God and an angel shows up at Cornelius’s house and tells him hey go send some people to Peter they send for Peter Peter. Comes and Peter comes in the house and he says first of all I’m not supposed to be here I’m not according to my Jewish traditions I’m not supposed supposed to be in this. House but Peter had a vision before he went and this was his statement out of all of that he said in truth I perceive that God shows what no partiality he is not partial he’s not looking and saying that somebody’s superior over another person in God’s eyes there is neither what Jew nor Gentile there’s neither male nor female.

▶ 20:00 Slave nor free in God’s eyes he’s looking at your heart he’s looking at are you responding to my truth to my word what are you saying what’s coming out of your mouth what’s coming out of your behavior do you fear God do you fear God meaning are you uh do you care about offending your God in heaven. Bible says that the fear of the Lord by the fear of the Lord men and women depart from evil we care about how we treat our God. Amen shows I perceive that God shows no partiality but in every nation whoever fears him and works righteousness is accepted by him so he gives a summary here it’s not he didn’t say in every nation he who believes on Jesus now we need to believe on Jesus it is important for you to believe in the cross and the power of his resurrection that whole thing but the cross the resurrection should be making you into a new.

▶ 21:17 Creature someone who fears God works righteous this and this is what was happening in Cornelius’s life he was affected he was affected in his in his behavior in Revelations 7:9 it says that in the end after these things I look behold a great multitude which no one could number of all nations all nations tribes peoples and tongues standing before the throne and before the lamb you’ve got to remember that Christ Jesus God in heaven he is after every one of us every person tribe tongue and nation even the people of the the tribes down in south America that have never been in contact with the world he wants to reach them and he he has ways that they can come into the kingdom as well but of every tribe every people every nation.

▶ 22:29 The m even the middle east where they try to snuff out Christ and christianity so what is the condemnation what is the summary what is you. Know what’s the condemnation this is the condemnation this is red letters this is Jesus talking and he says that light has come into the world and men love darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil and everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light lest his deeds should be exposed I have a picture here of a kitchen on the top and a kitchen on the bottom later today maybe you’re going to be cooking and uh which kitchen would you rather cook in I’d rather cook in the kitchen on the top right uh the bottom is quite.

Seen and you can see here this lady has the light on right there’s plenty of light in this room so she can see all the places she needs to get to and uh you know uh with my wife she needs lights on why because if there’s a bug there or a bug over there she was says I go kill that. Bug michael there’s a bug over there and if it’s a spider see you later.

▶ 24:28 That’s right michael there’s a spider over. There and Christ is trying to shed. Light in our life and if we love darkness because we want to hide all of the hurt and the harm that we may be doing that we may have Christ wants to expose it why so he can transform you. And he has the power to do. That Jesus Christ is the way he is the truth he is the life and when you come in contact with him he is so powerful he can clean you. Up he is a real person the scriptures say where two or three are gathered in my name there I am in our midst Jesus is here today and he’s here he’s at every church where they’re gathering in his name and you have a choice are we going to let Jesus walk by it’s happened several times in the Bible Jesus was walking by his disciples in the storm while they were in the boat Jesus was about to walk by and he’s walking on the water.

▶ 25:58 On the road to Emmaus two men were talking with Jesus and Jesus was just going to keep on going but they constrained him and in your life you have to decide are you going to grab Jesus and bring him into your life very important 1 Corinthians. 13:11. When when I was a child I spoke as a child I understood as a child I thought as a child but when I became a man I put away childish. Things both believers and Christian leaders are responsible in this the believer has to respond and the leaders must teach truth you see the mom there she’s kind of enabling this situation right she’s not getting her her son to grow up and so leaders have a responsibility but once you are a believer and you’re an adult you also have a responsibility remember all shall know me from the least to the greatest no you know you don’t need somebody you’re not.

▶ 27:18 Dependent you can go to God yourself you can go on your knees yourself you can go to his book yourself and know God. So in the picture here we have a it looks like he’s what 12. 13 and he’s still wearing a diaper and he you know of course some this is a setup right probably not a kid-like but it’s true at some point we have to grow up. Amen we got to stop acting like children children want to play all the time children lose their you know lose their temper and they throw fits and tantrums uh anyway well a child that hasn’t been.

▶ 28:11 Corrected uh I would watch people at their children and how they were crazy kids just and all this you know they’d come by you and they’d be hitting you and like get this kid out of here and then I would read my Bible and be like correct your son and he will give you rest and I was like I understand that correct your son hey no don’t do that and then the mother and the father over there they’re getting hit on the head 500 times and it’s like oh my gosh that’s the way kids act amen and we got to correct our kids and we want to come out of that we got to stop speaking like children kids they you know they say anything if you talk to my kids I mean uh I have to tell them hey you know you got to say that a little.

▶ 29:08 Differently or if you talk to a little kid and you have something on your face they’re going to see what’s on your face right they just say stuff they say whatever comes to their mind uh or they don’t understand things when you’re a child you don’t understand responsibility amen. So it’s important for us to grow as Christians we want to put away childish things God’s process of evolution Ephesians chapter 4:21 if you have been taught by Christ that you put off concerning your former conduct the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lust and be according to the deceitful lust so he’s talking about your old life the old way you used to act uh there’s another scripture that says of such were some of you where Paul lays out all these things right he lays out all these works of the flesh and he gives you a list and he says of such were some of you some of you used to act this way some of you used to commit these things that is the old man that is the former conducts the way you used to act and if you are staying in that former conduct and you’re staying in that old man you are not.

▶ 30:28 Letting God make you a new. Creature it says be renewed in the spirit of your mind and that you may put on the new man which has which was created according to God in true righteousness and holiness God has a new person for you amen God wants you to be made a new creature a new person with a new mouth at a new behavior with a new.

▶ 31:05 Understanding Galatians 6:15 Paul is explains and it says how important it is to be a new creation they were trying to say that circum you have to be circumcised otherwise you’re not going to go to heaven and he says it’s not about circumcision or uncircumcision it’s about what the new creature the new new creation God wants to make you a new creation 2 Corinthians 3:18 we all with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord he’s talking about reading the scriptures talking about the Bible he’s talking about the word of God are being transformed into the same image that word of God transforms you into the image from glory to glory just as by the spirit of the Lord it’s important in 2024 we have uh I tell you ai and all the technology I work with technology every week for mercury insurance and I’m telling you things are just advancing like crazy uh systems and and all this technology that we have the companies leading companies in America right now amazing technology there is no excuse for us not to have the word of God in.

▶ 32:23 Us okay that we have ear ear ear plugs you can buy for 20 bucks headphones you can get them delivered to your door they almost put it in your hand God’s word is available got to put it in us 2 Corinthians 5:17 if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation old things have passed away old things all things have become. New to be in Christ we want to know how to be in Christ right. Uh and that’s what this is all talking about oh I’m in Christ but you’re not acting like it and what does it mean to be in Christ whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them I will liken him to a man a wise man who built his house on the rock Matthew.

▶ 33:17 7:24 if you think about a foundation how a house is built you’re starting from ground zero you’re starting with nothing right and in your Christian life you start with nothing but what’s important is where you are put starting your building are you starting your building on sand or are you starting your building on the rock. Uh when they build houses they they they they uh what is it called they pour sorry they pour the foundation of cement right and then they get the boards and they get the wood and they drill into that foundation amen they connect to that foundation they put the screws.

▶ 34:09 In the foundation amen and so this is saying whoever hears when you hear it so you’ve got to spend time hearing his sayings this week you can pull out your Bible some of you guys I’ve given you bibles you can pull out your Bible you can start reading the New Testament you can write read the gospels you can read Paul’s writings you can put that in you through listening to it while you’re taking a walk whatever you’re doing redeem the time if you don’t have time there’s no. Excuse whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them so we not just want to hear but we want to do and I I guarantee you you’re going to hear God’s word you going to be like what is he talking. About right have you ever read God’s word and said I don’t understand just keep reading okay keep letting God’s word get into you.

▶ 35:11 And does them so we must respond I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock why because he connected himself to the foundation he started building those boards laying them down and he screwed down into that foundation and when you hear God’s word and you respond to God’s word and you do it that is like you. Putting your connection into the rock now believe it or not Jesus is the rock it says in the Bible he told Peter I say to you Peter your name means rock. Peter but on this rock. I will build my church your name may mean Peter but I am the rock.

▶ 36:06 And I’m going to build my church on. Me so. God is asking us these. Questions are we connected to. Him are we in him. Or are we in the world are we connected to the world what do we associate with when somebody looks at you from the outside do they see that you’re associated with Christ or they see you’re associated with the world are you in his church contributing involved in are you in his word are you in prayer are you in.

▶ 37:06 Worship and I’m saying in because it says therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation amen so I’m trying to what does that mean it mean it that’s what this means are we in his word are we in his house his church are we in his on on our knees are we in. Worship I delayed uh or I had worship at the end specifically because we need to. Respond this is our opportunity to praise to worship to give God thanks and glory and it says in the scriptures that even uh at any stage of your christianity you can give God praise I don’t care how long you’ve been a Christian I don’t care if you accept Jesus right now you can start praising God and we want you to have that opportunity John 4:23 the hour is coming and now is where true worshippers will worship in spirit and in truth I desire men everywhere uh lift up I desire therefore that men pray everywhere lifting up holy hands without wrath or doubting 1 Timothy 2:8 it’s important for us to be in these.

▶ 38:30 Things John 15:5 I am the vine you are the branches and he who abides in me as the worship team comes and I in him bears much fruit for without me you can do. Nothing so Jesus is that vine he’s got that life he’s got the truth. He with if you’re not connected to him you don’t have that that life and it says he who abides in me and I in him bears much fruit the goal is for us to bear fruit amen uh the Bible talks about how the Israelites they they they bore wild grapes they were you know God did all this work he dug out a field he planted a vineyard and he planted the Israelites in a place and he and he made the best situation for them and they they they bore fruit and their fruit was sour it was.

▶ 39:30 Yucky and God wants us to bear good. Fruit and we are only going to bear fruit in Jesus Christ he says without me you can do nothing. So will we abide in the word will we keep his commands prayer fellowship bearing fruit let’s see here. That’s how we can abide in the word Jesus is that. Vine so number one are we willing to stop acting like we are superior the world thinks that they are superior to God the Christians and believers are treating other believers like they’re superior we we we’re not humble toward one another Micah chapter 6 ver8 says to do justly love mercy and walk humbly humbly with our God are we walking humbly with our God are we loving darkness or loving the light Jesus.

▶ 40:37 Christ do we want him to come in shed his light so he can do his powerful work and clean us up are we willing to grow up lead the childish things. Behind are we willing to let God make us a new creature and are we willing to be in. Christ growing. Up I was uh part of this church my parents took me to church every week and uh they would quote the scripture to me that those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of their God. And they would take me to church and they were a witness for that. They did it and they took me to.

▶ 41:32 Church and at the end of the service we had time where we could come and bow and seek. God and this morning we want to have that opportunity for you we’re going to be having some time to seek God to come before him and I’m going to get knee pads in the future so you can come down and you can kneel and you can seek your God you can pour out your heart before him and this is what we got to start doing it’s. Not part of it is hearing right we’re hearing a message but we also have to respond as it said earlier he who hears these sayings of mine and does them are we willing to do. Something when you come and you seek God at the altar you’re opening your mouth you’re giving him praise you’re giving him glory you don’t know and you don’t understand how powerful that is for your life.

▶ 42:42 And I encourage you this morning when I as I grew up as a young person I would go to the altar all the time not because I had to uh you know. All this weight of sin on me but because I wanted to seek God so if you wherever you’re at if you got to weit of sin if you got if you don’t if you if you just want to seek your God that’s what this is for that’s what this time is. For amen we want you to have an opportunity to pray to seek God to invite him and that’s what this time that’s what we want to do at this time so will you stand with me we’re going to sing this song and this song is an invitation and it’s a simple invitation and just saying here I am God and inviting him saying come live in me come and make me a new creature so we’re going to sing it first and at any time you’re welcome to come on down and I’m sorry I don’t have pads to kneel on uh but even if you walk down and stand that’s fine take a step forward like those men in the Bible don’t let them walk by.

▶ 48:58 Is death in hell and we don’t want that we don’t want to go to hell we don’t want to be with Satan we want to be with Christ and it says the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord it’s because of what he’s done on the cross because of his resurrection that we can live in a new way in first John 1 n it says if we confess with our mouth he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness and this morning if you’d like to accept him in your heart if you’d like to ask for his forgiveness for your sin if you would like him to clear that debt as the lord’s prayer talks about just repeat after me and let’s pray this together Lord Jesus I admit I am a sinner I confess my sins before you.

▶ 49:57 Lord Jesus I pray that you would cleanse. Me forgive. Me and make me a new. Person I commit myself I commit myself to following your word following your word to hearing what you say to hear what you say and doing it and doing it thank you Lord Jesus thank you Jesus.
