Speaking: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Pastor David G. Kincer teaches that our tongues are to speak God’s righteousness, praise, name and word. The Bible was written by God through men who could not keep silent; science’s blunders don’t make people abandon science, and false prophets don’t discredit Scripture. At Pentecost all 120 spoke the mighty works of God, 3,000 were baptized that day, and the church grew as believers spoke.
What does Scripture tell us to speak?
Short answer: Psalm 35:28: my tongue shall speak of your righteousness and your praise all day. Psalm 145:21: my mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord; let all flesh bless his holy name—flesh simply means our physical bodies.
▶ 0:00 we’re going to go to Psalm 35:28 my tongue shall what speak of your what righteousness and my tongue shall speak of your praise all day praise here is glory your fame. Some words of praise or a verb praising him exercising giving him glory and some words of praise are to [unclear] boast and brag about him so. let’s go to Psalms 145:21. My mouth shall what speak the praise. Same word is in the last verse of the Lord but I brought this verse in to remind you of something let all what flesh bless his holy name forever and ever and now back in old Pentecost there was a thing about being in the flesh you can’t praise God in the flesh you can’t do things in the flesh if you’re in the flesh yeah.
▶ 1:13 It’s thrown out and so. they literally worked themselves into a frenzy. To. Get to a place where they felt they weren’t in the flesh anymore. But this word flesh just means physical body that’s all let all what physical bodies bless his holy name how am I going to lift my hands unless I’m in a physical body how am I going to clap my hands unless I’m in a physical body you see let all flesh what praise the Lord how many here today have a fleshly body okay all this verse is saying use it to praise the Lord don’t get weird all right [unclear]. Are you with me now.

— Psalm 145:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:00What else should we speak about?
Short answer: Psalm 119:171–172: my lips shall utter praise when you teach me your statutes; my tongue shall speak of your word. Speak his righteousness, praise, name and word aloud.
▶ 2:09 Psalms 119:171 my lips shall utter praise when you teach me your statutes now there’s three kinds of rules in the Bible there is his commandments. Which have a punishment if you disobey them there is his laws which basically and that most of the time it’s used for spiritual laws all right about the lamb coming Jesus dying on the cross the spiritual laws all right the prophet spoke about a virgin will have a son and call his name Immanuel and so forth although spiritual laws statutes are the shadow laws.
▶ 3:02 Okay let my prayer come before you as incense and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice so the evening sacrifice is a shadow law pointing to the real thing and when Jesus came he fulfilled all those through himself and his church got it alleluia. Now. My tongue shall speak of your word and so we have these things that God told us to speak about. his righteousness his praise. Bless his name and his what word.
Scripture in this part
Psalm 119:171-172 (NKJV)
My lips shall utter praise, For You teach me Your statutes. My tongue shall speak of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness.
— Psalm 119:171-172 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:09Was the Bible written by man?
Short answer: By God through men. 2 Peter 1:21: holy men spoke as moved by the Holy Spirit. Even Balaam said the word God puts in my mouth, that I must speak (Numbers 22:38).
▶ 3:54 All right how many would say can say Jesus is righteous. let’s say Jesus is righteous [unclear] all right let’s say that Jesus is glorious he is honorable is that true all right Jesus is honorable Jesus is honorable all right now let’s bless his name Jesus’ name is above every name I said Jesus name is above every name see that didn’t hurt you in fact it reminds you who he is and then he says bless his word all right his word goes on into eternity with us all right let’s say Jesus’s word is eternal Jesus’s word is eternal that’s the one thing you can take into eternity with you is his word there are people that say that the Bible was written by man I may have heard that.
▶ 5:11 [unclear] how many have heard it was written by man all right. My answer to them is prove it. Prove that the Bible was written by man only prove it they can’t and then I’ll tell them I can prove that it was written by man. by God through man. Second Peter 1:21 says as you know the prophecies that came in the old times were not by the will of man the desire of men men didn’t do that but by the holy men.
▶ 6:03 Spoke as they were moved by the what Holy Spirit they only spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit and Numbers 22:38. Balaam was a false prophet a diviner okay. He made money off of fortune-telling. But when God came to him this is what Balaam said Balaam said to Balak the king of Moab I have no power at all to say anything. The word that God put in my mouth that must I speak. now this is a false prophet saying things he didn’t want to say you got it.
Scripture in this part
2 Peter 1:21 (NKJV)
for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
— 2 Peter 1:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:11Numbers 22:38 (NKJV)
And Balaam said to Balak, “Look, I have come to you! Now, have I any power at all to say anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that I must speak.”
— Numbers 22:38 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:03Could the prophets keep silent?
Short answer: Jeremiah 20:9: his word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I could not hold it back. Acts 4:20: we cannot but speak what we have seen and heard. Even Caiaphas prophesied Jesus would die for the nation.
▶ 6:59 This Bible was written by God through men that’s a big difference amen yeah you remember Jeremiah 20 verse 9 Jeremiah said hey I’m not going to make mention of Jesus anymore of I’m going to mention his name I’m not going to speak anymore in his name I’ve had it that’s what Jeremiah said and then he immediately said but his word was in my heart like a burning fire. It was shut up in my bones and I was weary of holding it back I could not hold it back I have to speak. Are you with me see these men that God [unclear] had no choice you gotta understand that they had no choice this Bible wasn’t written by man it was written by God through man big difference remember in Acts chapter 4 verse 20 the apostle said.
▶ 7:58 To the government that was beating them putting them in prison and and persecuting them they said we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. What do they think we got no choice you can beat us you can put us in prison you can cut off our head you can do what you want but we gotta preach this word amen. You see God was involved in this Caiaphas you remember him the chief high priest you remember he wanted to kill Jesus am I right yeah he hated Jesus. And he wound up killing Jesus but when the Holy Spirit came upon him he prophesied that Jesus would die for the sins of the whole world he wanted to say that but he had no [unclear].
Scripture in this part
Jeremiah 20:9 (NKJV)
Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not.
— Jeremiah 20:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:07Acts 4:20 (NKJV)
For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”
— Acts 4:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:53John 11:51 (NKJV)
Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
— John 11:51 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:24 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Do critics hold science to the same standard?
Short answer: He lists science blunders—bloodletting George Washington, Piltdown man, a fake feathered-dinosaur fossil, moon-dust predictions, Y2K, the 1970s ice-age scare, climate predictions—yet people don’t throw out science. Life is in the blood.
▶ 8:52 Hallelujah. [unclear] I would like to acknowledge to opponents of the Bible that. And all the science errors and they’ve made a lot of scientists have made a lot of blunders okay. Let me give you a few. Bloodletting remember that they took four pints of George Washington’s blood they killed him draining his blood. Because they thought that would work when the Bible says life is what in the blood if they just went to the Bible there to go hey you know we’re wrong we’re missing something here all right the Piltdown man of 1912.
▶ 9:53 Was taught in the universities and the schools by the evolutionist. Evolution theory as the link between man prehistoric man you know the ape and all that and modern man for over 40 years they taught that and then in 1953 it was exposed as a total fraud. Now. And that’s in 1999 if you read science and you read the news besides the cnn news and China. Said they found a fossil showing a dinosaur with bird-like feathers the missing link to the modern bird they’ve been looking for it for a long time and it was displayed triumphantly by the recognized scientist of.
▶ 11:02 1999 at the National Geographic Society institute and it was written up in the National Geographic magazine in November as authentic as the real deal one year later guess what they found that a Chinese farmer just glued some pieces of fossils together. You see science has made a lot of blunders when I was in school and they were going to send up the man on the moon and get a machine to land on the moon they taught us in school that there were 13 inches 11 to 13 inches of dust moon dust on the moon so they made this vehicle with skinny legs so it would go through the moon dust well when they got up there there was less than 3 inches so they had to change how old the earth was.
▶ 12:03 They just change things but they make mistakes my point is they make mistake remember the y2k panic of the year 2000 never happened did it and people panic stored up food and everything we were supposed to have great disasters cars crashing because red lights weren’t working right dams breaking because the computers weren’t working them right all these things are supposed to happen nothing materialised did it now. How about the 70s ice age. Time magazine 1977. How to survive the coming ice age. They said this is what they predicted that the earth by the year 2000 would be 11 degrees cooler is it today they were flat-out wrong with it science has made many errors and they said Britain would not exist first it would be just a series of islands but from the high peak sticking out.
▶ 13:14 Through the ice and then it would be obliterated. By the year 2000 didn’t happen did it Britain is still with us. Science has made a lot of blunders Time magazine 2006. The united nations and the pentagon. All right they’re scientists predicted and they promoted that coastal flooding would destroy. continents not the continents nations it’s going to wipe out countries are you there. They said they’re going to be new desert. Places at once we’re where there were trees and vegetation going to be desert and they said because of these things there would be a tremendous.
Scripture in this part
Leviticus 17:11 (NKJV)
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’
— Leviticus 17:11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:41 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Do false predictions discredit the Bible?
Short answer: No. He says there are a handful of human copying details that don’t distort the spiritual truth; bad prophets with failed second-coming dates don’t make the Bible false, just as bad scientists don’t discredit science.
▶ 14:13 Climate refugees people having to flee in from the desert areas into the other areas and and all that and they gave the areas where they would be well they said that would happen by 2010 I don’t even know it’s 2017. how many know it hasn’t happened. Now my my my argument is this if you people. Who still hold on to science I’m you know there’s good science as well as bad science yeah good science you know they can replace the heart and now they can do wonders with knowledge today that’s good science but I said you your scientists predict these things and they don’t come to pass you don’t stop believing in science and you don’t knock scientific books but you want to knock the Bible until people that is a book written by man and yes.
▶ 15:22 There’s a few errors in the Bible human errors the rooster crowed twice or crowed three times who cares I’m interested in the resurrection of Jesus how about you. the blood cleanses prophesied to come came and all that and a few other places a handful of human mistakes which did not distort from the spiritual truth of the Bible and I said yes we got bad prophets like you have bad scientist oh they predict you don’t have to go to a doctor because do you know if you have faith God you don’t need a doctor God’s going to keep you healthy well they predict that God’s going to come in the year 2000 years 1988 in the year nineteen sixty-four I’ve seen so many predictions of the second coming it rattles the brain yeah we have bad profits but you don’t throw away good science because of bad scientist predictions neither should we throw away the Bible because some preachers got it all messed up amen yeah.
Which tree are we eating from?
Short answer: The Jews ate of the tree of knowledge—man-made rules—and missed that Jesus was God. John 14:8–9: have I been so long with you, Philip, and you don’t know me? We must eat of the tree of life.
▶ 16:39 Alleluia I mean you know there’s only two trees to eat of the tree of life. And the tree of knowledge how many of you know in the new testament the Jews were always eating of the tree of knowledge they created their own rules they got so dissecting the scriptures that they come up with washing of pots and pans before you eat and and you could only go so many feet in a seventh day and you know they had and Jesus was going to come and he was going to set up a kingdom and he’s going to destroy all their enemies and Israel was going to get their nation back you see they had been eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil they even created their own good and evil the Bible never said you had to wash your hands and pots and pans and all that before you ate.
▶ 17:34 Are you there. The Bible never said they didn’t know this but the Bible never said the first time he come he would come to set up a natural kingdom he come to set up a spiritual kingdom in men’s hearts and see because they ate of the tree of knowledge they didn’t know God Philip said Lord Jesus show us the father Jesus turned to Philip and says have I been so long with you Philip and you don’t know me. He was God the Jews didn’t know he was God they had the knowledge but they didn’t have the life we must eat of the tree of life. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life. Amen and he said the waters that I give you the drink of you will never want thirst again there is life in Christ there is a living way it isn’t just knowledge can I any that.
▶ 18:43 Hallelujah these people to get off on the knowledge just and and our nation has our young people off onto the knowledge realm let me tell you there’s something much higher than the knowledge the tree of knowledge of good and evil and you’re creating your own good and evil alleluia now. Let’s look at this life we’re going to look at the ability of the Holy Spirit to empower people to impact people alright we just showed you that God came and empowered the prophets to impact those around him didn’t they spoke as God gave them the speech didn’t it. So here we are in the New Testament in Acts 2 for they were all what filled with the how many were all of them and what happened they spoke other languages as the spirit gave them utterance as the what theory gave them utterance man.
Scripture in this part
John 14:8-9 (NKJV)
Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
— John 14:8-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:59 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Who was filled with the Spirit at Pentecost?
Short answer: Acts 2:4: all 120—men and women, rich and poor, young and old. He says the restriction on women usurping authority refers to wives over husbands, and men can’t force their will—love does no harm.
▶ 19:57 The spirit is the life God is the life folks. Now there were 120 people in that upper room there were women there there were men there there were rich people there there were poor people they were young there were old but ever one of them what was filled with the Holy Spirit now. Not educated and educated now let me ask you this. The two biggest denominations in America the Catholics and the Baptists. Teach that women cannot be ministers. Gotta keep silent in the church. And I know what I’m talking about I’ve been with them.
▶ 20:54 when it says for women not to usurp authority over the man he is not talking about women usurping authority over a male he’s talking about women not usurping authority over their husband it’s wife husband it’s not women or female male you understand that the greek word is the same for wife as it is for woman the same for man as it is for husband but the context tells you how it’s used. Amen now. Let me ask you this I know men I’ve met them that do not take authority in the home or cannot take authority in the home what’s the woman’s supposed to do go bankrupt because the man won’t stand up and keep a budget.
▶ 21:49 Let the kids go to pot because the man doesn’t have any backbone to train up the kid and the way you should go. those women have to step in and take care of business. They’re not forcing usurp means to force your will on someone and let me tell you men you can’t force your will on women. the second commandment forbids it. What’s the second commandment. Love your neighbor as yourself love does no harm to his neighbor. The golden rule is what do unto others as you would have them doing it if you don’t want people usurp an authority over you and bossing you around guess what you have to apply it back.
Scripture in this part
Acts 2:4 (NKJV)
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
— Acts 2:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:20 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 Timothy 2:12 (NKJV)
And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.
— 1 Timothy 2:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:07 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What did they speak in tongues about?
Short answer: Acts 2:7–11: are these not all Galileans? We hear them in our own languages speaking the mighty works of God—creation, the ark, the Red Sea, the virgin birth, the cross and resurrection. God isn’t racist.
▶ 22:43 Are you there. Alleluia see we got some false prophets that doesn’t make the book a false book it just means [unclear] we aren’t getting to this Holy Spirit where he enlightens us to the real truth now they were speaking the mighty works of God. They weren’t just rattling off they weren’t talking about the next recipe the you know what they’re going to cook and all that they were talking about the mighty works of God let’s continue. They were amazed and marveled saying are not all of these who speak. Galileans we have a hundred and twenty people of one race. One language from one area and this area is quite a few miles away up at the top of the sea of Galilee they came all the way to Jerusalem to wait for the Holy Ghost to come and the people in Jerusalem weren’t even looking for it are you there.
▶ 23:54 And God isn’t racist get off of that nonsense get out of that conflict that America is trying to conjure up we’re all in this boat together in America and in the church. They were all Galileans. How is it that we hear each in our own language in which we were born how can this be and then it gives us 15 languages that they were speaking in including egyptian Libya Asia. Persian and so forth just scattered all throughout. They said we are hearing them speak in languages where we were born there were Jews who went to Egypt Jews who went to Libya Jews who went to other nations and they were born there and they spoke that nations that dialect plus they spoke the Jewish language got it and they’re going how can this be that they’re speaking in our language and they don’t know it I’m you know first Corinthians 11 says that tongues are for the unbeliever and you.
▶ 25:12 Know the Jews that they’re talking to are unbelievers they come to worship a God they don’t even know. They come to keep the feasts and they don’t even know God I’m you know a lot of Christians today can come to church and go through the routine and not know God. Alleluia and these women are speaking in these languages alright.
Scripture in this part
Acts 2:7-11 (NKJV)
Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.”
— Acts 2:7-11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:05 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does the Holy Spirit do?
Short answer: He only speaks truth and is the Comforter—the anesthetic before he circumcises your heart and makes you a new creature.
▶ 25:48 We hear them speaking in our own languages you do they emphasize it they emphasize this again the mighty works of God what were they speaking the mighty works of God they were talking about God the creator God who had Noah build an ark God who made the axe swim for Elisha God who parted the red sea God who did great things in the old testament God who was born of the virgin Mary God who did miracles God who died on the cross God who rose the third day they’re talking about the mighty works of God amen as the spirit gave them utterance they weren’t talking about nonsense and teddy doctrines in their opinion they spoke the truth of God from the spirit of truth how many knowing the name of the Holy Ghost is also the spirit of truth in I right he doesn’t speak against the Bible he doesn’t speak against God he only knows how to speak truth and if your opinions aren’t truth don’t say it’s the Holy Ghost.
▶ 27:02 Because the spirit only knows how to speak truth and he’s also a comforter the Holy Spirit other names of the Holy Spirit is comforter he comes to comfort you that’s the anesthetic so he can slice you open and circumcise your heart. To give you a new heart are you with me see that’s what we call being born again the spirit comes and does an operation in your life and changes you into a new creature old things are passed away and all things are made new amen. Now let’s ask ourselves what were the results of speaking God’s mighty works these women these men these writs these poor these old these young God didn’t leave anybody out except he had one race that day he was dealing with Jewish galilean.
Scripture in this part
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
— 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:33 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Could 3,000 be baptized in a day?
Short answer: Acts 2:41: about three thousand were added and baptized that day. He does the math and recalls an African lake baptism done in under an hour.
▶ 28:00 Alright. Again. What the Holy Spirit did after God’s mighty works were spoken and folks you got to understand it’s a spoken word for there’s power it’s not the silent word. Now. look at this Acts 2:41 three thousand were added to the church and baptized. That day. 3,000 from them speaking the mighty works of God by the Holy Ghost 3,000 of these Jews that didn’t know God from all these nations accepted Christ and got baptized that day but there’s no way the twelve apostles can baptize three thousand people.
▶ 28:57 See that’s the tree of knowledge. This is what we do well there’s no. It was over a series of days no he said they were added to the church saved and baptized that day. Now let’s just say all 120 were involved in the baptism that’s 25 people apiece is that doable yes. Let’s just say the twelve apostles did it that’s 250 apiece. All right if they baptized one a sec at one every minute that’s four hours is that doable absolutely when I was over in Africa and the church I was speaking at had a baptism they had over 300 people there.
▶ 29:55 And we went we went down to the lake and let me tell you they had them lined up they organized have lined up and they got those people baptized in less than an hour [unclear] and they got the job done you see we have these man-made illusions you want to give a testimony for Jesus. We got to examine you have you believed in Jesus have um. Good are you there you see what we do with a few we think is the rule and I’ve told you about and indonesia where they didn’t have any water and they baptize him in coconut juice and it worked.
Scripture in this part
Acts 2:41 (NKJV)
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
— Acts 2:41 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:00When should new believers be baptized?
Short answer: Immediately: the eunuch (Acts 8:36–38), Paul, Cornelius’ house (Acts 10:47), Lydia and the jailer. Repent and be baptized; Jesus was baptized as our example.
▶ 30:56 they were filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues God was moving and I got you know God hasn’t hindered it we’re the ones that hinder God the thing of it is they got baptized people said well you don’t need to get baptized [unclear] thief on the cross he was baptized yeah dead good grief. you have to be a Mormon to be baptized for the dead are you there. Remember in acts the eunuch said to Philip what hinders me from being baptized and Philip said nothing except if you believe in Christ and Philip baptized him what immediately. Paul when the scales fell from his eyes and he received his sight immediately it says he was baptized.
Scripture in this part
Acts 8:36-38 (NKJV)
Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.
— Acts 8:36-38 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:31 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Acts 10:47 (NKJV)
“Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”
— Acts 10:47 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:54What did the early believers continue in?
Short answer: Acts 2:42–43: the apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayers; fear came on every soul and the apostles did wonders and signs. He cites The Heavenly Man’s accounts of visions and a prison escape.
▶ 31:55 Immediately. All right in Acts 10:47 can anyone forbid water that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Ghost just as we have they got saved that day they got filled with the Holy Ghost that day and they got baptized in one day okay. The Lord opened Lydia’s heart in the book of Acts and her whole family was baptized the jailer. Did he wait a week a year he was baptized wat immediately the word is immediately where do we get this [unclear] we were in a nation where they baptize once a year and I kept asking what do you do that the Bible says get it done repent Jesus said and be baptized for the kingdom of heaven is at hand repent believe God ask for forgiveness get water baptized and move on amen and Jesus said that did Jesus get baptized yeah did he need to know why did he do it yeah an example to us are you there they continued consistently what’s the word now this is a real born-again experience folks.
▶ 33:13 They were consistent and they continued in what the apostles doctrine not the Sadducees not the Pharisees doctrine not the other groups of the Jews. Doctrine they continued and what doctrine the apostles doctrine who were taught directly by who Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. They didn’t go to the latest Jewish bookstore and get all the books. They went to the apostles and God they’re teaching are you with me. The tree of life. Is. The words that the apostles and Jesus taught. They continued and fellowship partnership they were loyal to the house of God loyal to one another and it’s duplicated here in the breaking of bread the breaking of bread is both the communion table and when Jews back in those days broke bread you were committed to be loyal to them that was a sign of hay and I’ll do nothing to hurt you all do nothing to harm you it’s just like [unclear] except it’s acted out by going to inviting people to your house and breaking bread with a meeting with them are you with me alleluia are you learning anything today yeah.
▶ 34:39 Now and prayers I’m you know that’s good consistent to continue in amen. These guys were for real it wasn’t well you know here’s your baptismal certificate and you know you you join the church not know there was a born again experience the spirit came to them they were changed into another man the old things are passed away all things become new why because they ate of the tree of life they ate of Jesus Christ they partook of him. Not knowledge they were in awe that all came upon every soul as the apostles did wonders and signs I handed out five. Books.
▶ 35:32 called The Heavenly Man that I told you this move of God was not tainted by any denomination it started afresh and they followed the book of acts right to the t. When they were filled with the Holy Ghost they didn’t speak in tongues. They had visions and dreams just like it said your old men shall dream dreams your young men see visions and they shall prophesy and this young 16 or 18 year old boy I forget his age now he told his mom God showed me in a vision last night that there’s a man coming by such and such a name and he’s got a red bag and in that red bag is a Bible which I’ve been asking God for and when he comes get the Bible now I’m you know that isn’t a confusing dream that is detailed he says mom I got to go over to the next village and I got to share the gospel with them but you get this Bible from this guy so mom’s working around the house and sure enough a knock on the door if you want to see God moving without man involved read this book I’m telling you it’s powerful anyway sure enough knock on the door mom goes to the door there’s this guy and she says your name is so and so yeah that’s my name he said oh you got a Bible in that red bag yeah I got a right on that red bag I brought it to this guy’s name God worked on the other end through
▶ 37:03 visions and dreams to tell that guy to send the Bible and the mother just took it put it up and went on working man we would wear. This one all we gotta we gotta tell everybody they just went right over life. later this guy is put in jail he’s put in prison and they were going to kill him. He walked right out of that prison. Walked right out all day light. His wife got a vision that your husband is out of jail and you’ll find him at this believers house so she dropped everything and went down to that place went into that house and there’s her husband [unclear] we would have called the charismatic magazine the Baptist magazine the [unclear] magazine well look at this testimony a lot.
▶ 38:12 They just go on with life are you there and they had miracles after miracles after miracles just like it says here the apostles did what wonders and signs why do we let people talk us out of God not doing signs and wonders today. we don’t even seek him when’s the last time we ask God to manifest yourself in the signs and wonders like Gideon where is the God of Israel where are the miracles. Amen. Now we just. You just want to retire enjoy yeah just be nice little.
Scripture in this part
Acts 2:42-43 (NKJV)
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
— Acts 2:42-43 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 33:18 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Joel 2:28 (NKJV)
“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
— Joel 2:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 35:52 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How did they give?
Short answer: Acts 2:44–46: together, with one accord. Acts 3:6: Peter said silver and gold I have none, but such as I have I give—rise up and walk. He says alms went to qualifying believers.
▶ 39:04 quiet Christians. But this heavenly book. When you meet the tree of life and you drink of the waters of life it changes your thinking it changes your schedule it changes everything can I hear an amen. All together gave alms here we got unity twice altogether they were in unity given arms and they were in unity with one accord in the temple praising God another sign of God moving in the church is unity I mean Ephesians talks about the spirit of unity yeah why the spirit because the spirits were the life is and it’s the spirits got to get involved to get us to put up with one another and disagree agreeably with one another the spirit overpowers our jealousies.
▶ 40:09 Our principles and attitudes and so forth. but let’s talk about alms in Acts chapter 3 Peter and John come to a guy’s been crippled since birth at the gate of the temple Jesus had went by there all of his life and saw this man. And it’s three and a half years of ministry went by and saw this man never touched it never did a thing for him. The apostles had been going by this man because they were daily in the temple what praising God and teaching the word of God daily they had come by this man this day the Holy Ghost had involved and Peter looked at him and said you know silver and gold we don’t have we don’t got any alms to give you and they did Peter and John Peter lived in a house yet money not everybody had a house back there and they had a boat that takes money doesn’t it yeah dad money they didn’t give it to it never as no indication they gave it to him any time and when you read the Bible the church on the gave arms to believers.
▶ 41:36 With a qualification. wasn’t just oh you poor thing [unclear] there were qualifications for getting alms. And so he healed the guy all right. and they were together giving alms now some people sold their properties not their house Peter didn’t sell his house there’s no indication that Peter sold his house they had other investments they had other things and they sold and they helped the believers in me it was always believers all the way through the New Testament you got that and they had to qualify not just as real sorry story teary-eyed. No they had to meet the requirements now.
Scripture in this part
Acts 2:44-46 (NKJV)
Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
— Acts 2:44-46 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 39:33 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Acts 3:6 (NKJV)
Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
— Acts 3:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 41:07 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does “favor with all the people” mean?
Short answer: Acts 2:47: praising God and having favor—grace, a divine influence on hearts, since they were later arrested and beaten. The Lord added to the church daily. There is power in speaking; your job is to speak.
▶ 42:30 They were daily one accord in unity in the temple doing what praising God lifting their hands clapping their hands singing shouting playing their instruments they were what praising God and having favor with all the people. Favor guess what that word is that everybody uses. Grace. Here they write it as favor and there’s books that [unclear] on grace. It’s amazing when you search for the tree of knowledge it’s amazing how much you have the right to explain something God does in a verse. Are you that.
▶ 43:25 Having graced with all the people now there’s two meanings for grace kindness all right now let’s see if they have kindness from all the people people are treating them kindly all right. Acts chapter 4 here’s the same Peter and John. The priests the temple captain the Sadducees greatly were greatly disturbed by them teaching Jesus and the resurrection of the dead and ordered that they stop preaching and they arrested them when they didn’t stop now is that being kind. Okay x chapter five they arrested him again and this time they beat the tar out of them now is that being kind.
▶ 44:24 Now that’s not being kind. So what does this mean let’s read it correctly praising God and having a divine influence on the heart of all the people. Rule. Did you hear that the other meaning of grace is a divine influence on people’s heart they’re mine their spirit there so that. Makes a lot more sense doesn’t it and because of this influence 5,000 were added again. Why because these guys. The spirit use them to have a divine impact on other people’s life and they convert it. there’s power in speaking folks maybe you can’t sing maybe you can’t [unclear] you can speak.
▶ 45:29 Amen. You say well nobody else is doing it. We need to get out of this religious box and get in to the Bible life. God will do miracles and wonders today [unclear] he will do these things but we have to seek him and a part of that seeking is praising him are you with me. And he’ll do the rest and the Lord added to the church how often daily those who were safe is a Lord adding to our church daily. Now. Look at it or a small group but the Bible says don’t despise the day of small beginning.
▶ 46:23 Oh yeah I mean oh there’s a lot of unsafe people out there how many know there’s a lot of religious people out there have you know there’s a lot of unlearned people out there and how many we know you got a word better than that and you’re responsible for it. to whom much is given much is required they need to hear the word and don’t evaluate they’re going to turn off they don’t want to hear that’s none of your business your job is to speak. his job is to [unclear].
