God will favor His church, yet some won’t repent. A few faithful men transformed Babylon. Christ will come and must reign until all enemies, including death, are subdued. Paul’s logic on suffering and baptism for the dead shows the resurrection’s reality—so avoid corrupting company and awake to righteousness.

What day is coming?

▶ Watch this part (0:01)

Short answer: God will favor His church and demonstrate power—yet some won’t repent even seeing it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 0:01 See, there’s a day coming when God’s going to favor his church. And then the, you know, right now they’re kind of kicking us around. But there’s a day and they they ain’t going to be kicking us around. In those days, men shall seek death and not find it. They’ll desire to die, and death will flee from them. And he talks about the seals and the trumpets and the vials and all these things being poured out. Remember Daniel says a day of great a day of great trouble great trouble. Now verse I mean uh Revelation 9:21 they would not repent of their murderer and which is also hate you hate. Murder is also defined as hate in the New Testament. Sorceries, witchcraft, fornication, sexual immorality, stealing, nor idols, they would not repent.

▶ 0:55 Even though God is going to demonstrate his power in his people, these people will not repent. So that means that they do have an opportunity to what? Repent. Isn’t that the kind of God we serve? Yes. But see, they are so anti-God, so anti-Bible, they won’t even repent when God manifests his power and separates his people like he did in Egypt. Ain’t that beautiful? 16:9. Now, we’re almost through the whole book of Revelation. Men were scorched with great heat and blasphemed the name of God which has power over these plagues and they repented not to give him glory nor of their deeds. See, there is coming in the last days a putting down of authority by the power manifested by Jesus Christ that’s going to give the gospel to the billions of people in this world.

▶ 1:55 And even when God does it, they won’t believe. And you got the scriptures to back it up. Jesus came. He was God. He did miracles. He did all kinds of things. He controlled the sea. He controlled the weather. He fed 5,000 with a few loaves and all that. And still they wouldn’t what? Repent and believe in him. So these people that say like my atheist brother, well if I could see a miracle or whatever, then I’d believe. Well, my mom got a miracle in her last days. She was supposed to die of cancer and God took that grape size cancer that was growing in her liver. They couldn’t even touch it because it was in her liver. And he just slowly over a year and a half or two shrunk that thing and disappeared it. And he still wouldn’t believe. He said it was the medicine. Yeah.

▶ 2:47 You hearing me, folks? Even though they see the power of God, their heart wants to do what they want to do and they will not repent. This is that kind of reset rection. Now listen young people, young believer, four times in the Bible, God put down all powers, all authorities and delivered his people. All right? Noah when the flood came. Lot when the fire fell from heaven. Egypt when Moses went down and God reigned all those plagues on and those those uh intelligent people of the kingdom and these wizards of the kingdom and all these supposedly wise counsel of the king couldn’t do nothing and their own religion could do nothing.

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 9:20-21 (NKJV)

But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.

How did God transform a nation?

▶ Watch this part (3:44)

Short answer: Through Daniel and three friends who wouldn’t bow—God put down Babylon’s religion and king.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 3:44 He put down their religion. He put down their king. He put down their their their atheist mentality, their intellectual mental. He embarrassed them all. Ain’t that right? And brought his people out. And he did it when Daniel went into Babylon. The king had a dream. And all of his wise men, all of his sorcerers, all of these people that dabbled in the supernatural, the the witchcraft and all that, they couldn’t give the king an answer. He embarrassed them. The king didn’t have the answer. The religious people didn’t have the answer and Daniel had the answer. Hallelujah. Shadrach, Ben, Shad, and Abednego would not bow down. Now, about 3 to 6,000 people went into captivity.

▶ 4:35 Not the whole nation, just a few thousand. Only these guys would not bow down to the idol. The rest of these Jews were going right along. Okay, bow to the bow. Shadrach, Mason, Bab, we ain’t bowing to your idol. We don’t care about your music. You going to bow to We hear the sound of the music. We ain’t bowing. And God brought them out of that fiery furnace. And the Bible says that the king of Babylon changed the law. See, they changed the laws of the kingdom. And one of the laws, new laws that they passed is everybody’s got to serve the God of Daniel. Amen. You think God can’t do something powerful in our generation? Yeah. And remember, he only used four guys. I mean, that’s how powerful God is.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Daniel 3:28-29 (NKJV)

Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God! Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.”

Where is the promise of His coming?

▶ Watch this part (5:29)

Short answer: Scoffers ask, but He comes with a shout—we don’t know when.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 5:29 He used four guys to transform a a wicked nation. Hallelujah. Now, that’s a mighty God. Second Peter 3:4 says, “Where is the promise of his coming?” People say, “The Lord will come as a thief in the night. The heavens will pass away with a great noise. The elements will melt with fervent heat, and the earth will be burned up.” Now, let me tell you, the Lord coming as a thief in the night is only one aspect. You don’t know when the crook’s coming to rob you. No crook comes to your house and blows a trumpet, tooth his horn, boop, boop, boop. 1:00 a.m. I’m No thief does that. They don’t knock on your door. Hey, 1:00 a.m. I’m going to come and steal everything you got. They don’t do that.

▶ 6:20 They come when the you they think you’re not waiting for them. But when Jesus comes, the only aspect is we don’t know when he’s coming because he’s going to make a big ruckus when he comes. Are you there? I mean, the elements shall melt with fever and heat. Woo! Look at that. The heavens will pass away with a great noise. I mean, is everybody on earth going to know something’s going on? Absolutely. Ain’t none of this sneaky stuff. You know, guy’s flying an airplane, one guy’s gone, the other guy’s left behind. Automobile going down the road, as they say, and the driver’s gone, and the sinful passengers wrecked and killed themsel. No man, there’s an announcement man.

▶ 7:13 THERE’S A GREAT NOISE. THINGS ARE HAPPENING. HALLELUJAH. First Thessalonians 4:15, the coming of the Lord. He said, concerning the coming of the Lord, the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the hour when Jesus descends from heaven with the trumpet. He man you’re going to hear a sound. I don’t know what that heavenly trumpet sounds like but I tell you when it comes we’re going to know. See God’s going to open our man that’s it. It may start off at the very edge of the universe. Who knows? And just get louder and louder. But it’s something to look forward to.

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 (NKJV)

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

How long must He reign?

▶ Watch this part (8:06)

Short answer: Till all enemies are under His feet—false leaders, sickness, death; then the Son is subject to the Father.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 8:06 Wouldn’t you say some among you now? He’s going to confront them with some scripture. He must reign. Jesus must reign till he has put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is what? Death. Now, that’s the last enemy. And when is the last enemy destroyed according to the scriptures? At the resurrection. Are you there? We’ll clarify that more next week. He’s going to keep talking about the resurrection. Going to go into some real good details. Okay. So, the last enemy destroyed is death. So, Satan is going to be destroyed. Remember, he’s going to put down all rule, power, and authority. The children of the wicked one, he’s going to put them down. The governments of the nations that are wicked, they’re going to put them in their place.

▶ 9:02 The church leaders that are not real leaders, he’s going to deal with them. Are you there? Sickness is going to be dealt with because the Bible says that’s an enemy and it opposes us. Those of our own household can oppose us. They’re going to be straightened out. How many of you got many members of your household that oppose your Christian walk? Oh man, are the rest of you walking. The more you want to be like Jesus, the more you want to follow the word, the more opposition you’re going to get. The Bible says, “A man’s enemies shall be those of his own household.” See, and so God’s going to straighten all this out. Wouldn’t it be nice to know the details? But we know all the time he’s trying to get them to what?

▶ 9:57 Repent. Because we see in Revelation that they would not repent. So he’s given them an opportunity to what? Repent. How many know some people could be repenting during that time? How many you know according to the scripture there’s going to be a big harvest during that time? Hallelujah. How many you know when Egypt came when Israel came out of Egypt there was a mixed multitude that came with them. See it wasn’t just Jew people believed. They believed they came. They followed. Great multitude. Now he has put all things under his feet. When he said all things are put under him, it’s plain that he has accepted. He hadn’t put himself under himself. And here is an important verse.

▶ 10:51 When all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the son also himself be under submission to the father under sub subject to the father under the rulership of the father that put all things under him that God may be all in all. So do we have a God and do we have Jesus? Yeah, Jesus only people got a problem here. You have two dis and in 1 Corinthians 11 when we studied that who was Jesus under the father God. And who was under Jesus in 1 Corinthians 11? The husband. You forgot all that. Hallelujah.

▶ 11:42 That’s why I’m up here to remind you. So, you got a two identity godhead. And this drives the Muslims and a lot of people crazy. Then you got their spirit. The Holy Spirit is their spirit. And the word trinity really kind of says it in a nutshell. There’s a three-part being to this one God. How many gods are there? One. But he manifests himself as the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. He’s God. I love it. Hallelujah. Now, else what shall they do which are bapt Now he’s going back to logic.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 15:25-28 (NKJV)

For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

Why baptize for the dead?

▶ Watch this part (12:34)

Short answer: Paul’s logic—why be in danger daily if there’s no resurrection? Otherwise eat, drink and be merry.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 12:34 He’s going to use logic again. He says, “Some among you have baptizing for the dead. And why are you baptizing for the dead if the dead rise not at all? Why are you baptizing for the dead? Now, he’s not saying baptizing for the dead is scriptural. He’s saying some of you among you not only have a problem with the resurrection, but you’re baptizing for the dead. Some of you baptizing for the dead. The dead’s dead. Nowhere in the scripture do you find that anything can be done for you after you die. Can’t light candles for you. Can’t baptize for you. That’s idiotic. Are you with me? So, he’s using logic. Then he goes on to use a little more logic. We stand in jeopardy, in danger every hour because we’re preaching the gospel.

▶ 13:27 I protest by your rejoicing that which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord. I die daily. I am in danger daily because of and he was put in jail. He was beaten. He was stoned and killed and God resurrected him. He says if now he didn’t say he went into the arena with the beast. He says if after the manner of man I fought with the beast at Ephesus. There was an arena there at Ephesus. What advantage is it to me if the dead rise not? I might as well be preaching. Let’s eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die. That’s it. It’s over. Isn’t that good logic? See, the the Sadducees believed in no life after death. The Epicurans, a big group of philosophers in that day, believed no life after death.

▶ 14:22 You just eat, drink, and be merry. The only enjoyment you’re going to get is what you got in this life. Well, some of us will never get any because they were slaves. And and uh they had a horrible life. Isn’t that right? Now, after his logic and after the scriptures, he says this. He addresses the some among you. He gives advice to some among you. And he gives advice to those who aren’t the some among you so that you can recognize the some among you and not get caught up with those some among you. Number one, 1 Corinthians 15:33, do not be deceived. Don’t be led away from the truth.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 15:29-32 (NKJV)

Otherwise, what will they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptized for the dead? And why do we stand in jeopardy every hour? I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”

What is the warning?

▶ Watch this part (15:15)

Short answer: Don’t be deceived—evil company corrupts good habits; awake to righteousness and sin not.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 15:15 Don’t be a led away from Jesus. You’re being deceived when you say there’s no resurrection. When you believe you can eat food offered to idols and I’m of a Paul and Apollos and all these things. He said you’re being deceived. Don’t be deceived. Evil companions. What’s another words for evil? Harmful. Hurt things that hurt. Evil companions. Evil associations. Harmful associations corrupt good behavior. And what’s the church full of? We got these little clicks. We got the pre-tribulation rapture click. We got the post-tribulation rapture click. We got the homosexual can be minister click. We got the uh oh well, you know, I’m I’m saved by grace by faith. I can have incest, sexual immorality.

▶ 16:07 I can do anything I want. We got all these little some among you groups. And he’s saying what? If you hang around the some among you, they’re going to corrupt you. Are you there? Cuz they don’t want to hear any opposition. And now you’re going in there opposing and they’re going to kick you out of the group. Isn’t that a good statement that he Isn’t this good advice he’s giving? Absolutely. So he’s talking to the some among you and he’s talking to the rest of the church. And then he says this, “Awake.” And he uses the word awake, which means you wake up from a drunken binge the night before.

▶ 17:04 The Bible says that when you drink, you distort judgment. You know, you’re like a on a guy on a mass. The waves are just tossing back and forth. So you wake up and you’re oo you can’t think and you need to drown yourself in coffee and all this stuff that they do after they puked and everything else. That’s the word that he uses to awake. Why? Because he’s illustrating to them you’re in a doctrinal drunkenness. You’re high on it and you need to shake loose from it. Puke it out. Vomit it out. Get your head clear to make good judgment. And then he Yes. And then he says, “What kind to righteousness?” And then he makes it even more plain.

▶ 18:00 He says, “And what?” Sin not. Sin is the violation of God’s word. YOU KNOW, WAKE UP. GET OUT of your drunken doctrinal stupor and wake up and follow Christ in righteousness and stop sinning. Isn’t that the message of John the Baptist? Isn’t that the message of Jesus? Wasn’t that the message of the twelve apostles? Yeah. That’s why we’d rather buy books in the Christian bookstore than read the apostles. PE the writers in the Christian bookstore will justify our some among you belief and the apostles in Jesus won’t now some who is he talking to some among you some have not the knowledge of God what does it say in the Bible for lack of knowledge my people.

▶ 18:56 Are destroyed it’s not the lack of water baptism it’s not the lack of faith in the cross. It’s not the lack of Holy Ghost baptism. It’s the lack of what? Knowledge. And number five, he says, I speak this to your shame. You should be embarrassed. Paul is saying this should embarrass you. This should shame you. Your divisions, your sexual immorality, your accepting other gods as a like people are today that all gods lead to the same God. When Jesus plainly said there’s only one God and the only way to that God is him. So, we got to make a decision today if we’re going to follow the some among us or we’re going to follow Jesus and his apostles.
