Pastor David G. Kincer teaches that Scripture commands us to sing praises. Jesus’ blood makes Christians and sinners alike worthy to come, and real forgiveness comes through an encounter with him, as a story of WWII nuns shows. Through the tabernacle’s gates and the skilled singers of the temple, he shows that we come before God with singing and joy, in unity and order, so unbelievers are blessed too.

Have all kings praised God yet?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: Psalm 138:4: all kings of the earth shall praise you when they hear the words of your mouth. Pilate, Herod, Agrippa and Caesar heard but didn’t praise; he says something big is coming as the gospel goes to all nations.

▶ 0:00 Remember Psalms 138 verse 4 all kings of the earth shall praise you has that ever happened. No did Jesus come before Pilate did Jesus talk to Pilate yes he did was that the words of God yes it was did Pilate praise him no did Jesus go before Herod. Yes did Jesus say anything to Herod no said nothing did Herod praise him no the apostles especially the apostle Paul did he stand before Herod Agrippa did he speak to Herod Agrippa did Herod Agrippa tremble. Yes did Herod Agrippa praise him Jesus no.

▶ 0:55 Paul went to Caesar. Does the Bible record Caesar praising God no so folks there’s something coming on the horizon he says all these kings shall praise you when when means at the time. They hear the words of your mouth. Not men’s doctrines not church doctrines not churches bylaws and articles of faith but the voice of God speaking to them. Jesus said that the gospel will be preached as a witness to all nations to the whole world before the end didn’t it is there something big coming absolutely absolutely. God is going to be speaking and church doctrines of faith and people’s opinions are going to go out the window when the Holy Ghost start speaking from the very throne of God could I get an amen yeah.

▶ Watch this part (3:03)

Short answer: 1 John 2:1–2: if anyone sins we have an advocate, Jesus Christ the righteous, the propitiation for our sins and the whole world. The same blood that forgives the atheist and murderer forgives Christians.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:03 Want to remind you we got to establish two things here because God’s people feel unworthy God’s people feel a lot of things that that hinder them the way they were brought up society whatever excuse they’d want but I want you to remember there’s two things established when Jesus died on the cross he died for the sins of the whole world the sinner the unbeliever the atheist the adulterer the murderer and he also died on the cross for the church first John 2:1 I write unto you you Christians that you sin not is that a good statement yeah. If. Anyone sins we have an advocate a lawyer a mediator with the father Jesus Christ the righteous amen how many find yourself sinning the rest of you are lying.

▶ Watch this part (3:59)

Short answer: Yes—God speaks to you, not only through teachers. Matthew 11:28: come unto me and I will give you rest. John 6:37: he that comes to me I will in no wise cast out—whatever your excuse.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:59 you may not make flagrant mistakes but you make mistakes don’t you that’s the same blood that forgives the atheists that forgives the murderer is the same blood that forgives Christians amen it’s that powerful you got to remember that and that blood makes you worthy to come into Jesus get forgiveness and meet with him he himself Jesus is the propitiation the atonement okay the covering for our sins and not only for ours only but also for the what whole world we got to keep that in mind secondly all are invited to have a conversation and a meeting an encounter with Jesus Christ God will speak to you as well as through teachers and evangelist ambassadors and prophets in your home you need God speaking to you the prophets not there the pastor is not there in your life you need God speaking to you you can’t wait to go to the man of God and we need the man of God to confirm what we think God is saying don’t we all right we need an encounter a meeting with Jesus Matthew 11:28 come unto me Jesus said all ye that labor and heavy laden and I will give you rest for your soul your spirit he wants to refresh our spirits how many love having God refresh your inner spirit I love it

▶ 5:29 yes he said he’d quickened us by might in the inner man alleluia when we meet with him he does these things you see secondly in John 6:37 he that comes to me I will in no wise cast out I don’t care what your excuse is well I’m just not that kind that can praise God or I’m just not worthy of the kingdom I I’m not worthy to meet with God I don’t care what your excuse is if you come to him call on him he will what not cast you away but I’m such a horrible person I’m such a horrible sinner he will not what cast you away but I’ve committed the unpardonable sin I’ve showed you over and over that the blood of Christ forgave the unpardonable sin that’s how powerful it is the blood of Christ cleanses from all sin now we have in the Old Testament Exodus 25:22 I will meet I will encounter.

Why does forgiveness require a real encounter with Jesus?

▶ Watch this part (6:35)

Short answer: He tells of WWII nuns raped by Russian soldiers who lived with shame and guilt and, pressured by church rules, never ran to Jesus; most quit. It takes a real encounter with Jesus to forgive yourself and your enemy; sins are removed as far as east from west.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:35 You and I will speak with you above the mercy seat upon the ark of the covenant in the holy of holies in the tabernacle. Amen. He said he would meet with us and he would talk with us back there in the Old Testament and everything that was done in the Old Testament was for whose learning and whose example ours upon whom the ends of the world are come now let me give you a story back in the second world war there were a bunch of nuns in a convent the Russian soldiers came through and conquered the Germans who had possession of Poland at the time these Russian soldiers went broke into the convent and raped these nuns day after day after day.

▶ 7:30 Just treating them horrible shaming them embarrassing them and in horrible ways many of these nuns got pregnant with these Russian soldiers child now here the nun that’s supposed to be married to God her husband is gone and here they are in an act of sexual immorality. Now. this caused many of these nuns to suffer nightmares for years it caused them. Unbearable shame unbearable guilt. They become loners.

▶ 8:23 They didn’t mingle their menstrual cycle was interrupted for years and they asked God why did this happen to me when I you are my divine spouse this is what their church taught them. The mother superior who tried to hide it the pregnancies in the babies being born from the community and from the church because they knew the church would shut the convent down. The pressure to line up to the church. Was greater than the freedom to run to Jesus and have him forgive you of your sins. Do you understand one of the nuns decided to go find the Russian soldier that impregnated her and she found him and he just passed her on to the other soldiers.

▶ 9:27 Most of the nuns quit. because they didn’t think the Bible worked. Folks in this kind of situation and you got to remember. The communist army didn’t just rape women to humiliate that particular woman they raped women to show all their opponents that their government or their God could not save them they rape these women to show how powerful they were and that there was no government that could rescue them and there was no God that could rescue them but we know what happened in the long run to these guys don’t we God held them accountable yes now I submit to you this morning that it takes a real Jesus a real spiritual encounter with Jesus to find forgiveness where you can forgive yourself and your enemy forgiveness is not just a head knowledge thing it is a real divine encounter with God that you can forgive yourself no record you see your sins are put away as far as the east from the

▶ 10:57 west and there’s no record in heaven it’s a blank page when you ask him to forgive you amen it takes a real encounter with God to forgive yourself these nuns could not forgive themselves and they did not know or weren’t taught to go to Christ and find this divine enablement to go on with life. Could that be true it takes a real spiritual encounter with Jesus to find healing and restoration back to a successful productive life. And that’s the power of the cross folks is this is the Bible. It takes a real spiritual encounter with Christ a real Jesus. And the.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Psalm 103:12 (NKJV)

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

What gives anyone the privilege to come into his presence?

▶ Watch this part (11:49)

Short answer: The blood of Jesus alone, for Christians and sinners alike. Exodus’s tabernacle shows God meeting his people above the mercy seat.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 11:49 Bible promises this kind of encounter both for Christians atheists non-Christians wicked sinners horrible sinners whatever through the blood of Jesus Christ in the blood of Jesus Christ is what gives you the privilege to come into his presence and encounter him that death on the cross alone gives you the privilege to do it if you don’t take it at your fault but it gives you the privilege amen and he will do what he said he promised and he will do what he said now. This is a pictorial diagram of the Old Testament Moses’s tabernacle okay he said we could come in and Exodus we read he would speak with us and he would encounter us on the mercy seat and they actually could see the cloud of his presence by day and the fire by night they actually could see God they could hear him and this is where God was now.

How do we enter?

▶ Watch this part (13:13)

Short answer: Hebrews 10:19: boldness (confidence) to enter the holiest by the blood. Psalm 100:4: enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; be thankful and bless his name.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:13 Two things to get into his presence and get this encounter Hebrews 10:19 and we have boldness to enter the boldness just means confidence that doesn’t mean you know boastfulness and bragging I just I got confidence you’re you got to show it to enter and to the holiest right here for God is to meet with him and speak with him by the what blood of Jesus if you accept his death on the cross for your sins [unclear] if you accept his death on the cross for your privilege to come in and commune with him you’re invited. ain’t that beautiful yeah we don’t have to do anything else just accept it Psalms 100:4 he tells us how to come into that presence now we come by the blood then he tells us how to do it.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Hebrews 10:19 (NKJV)

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,

— Hebrews 10:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:18
Scripture (NKJV)

Psalm 100:4 (NKJV)

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

— Psalm 100:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:13

What do the tabernacle’s gates picture?

▶ Watch this part (14:14)

Short answer: The first gate leads to the court of the sacrifice—Christ died once—and the laver, the washing of the word. The second leads to the holy place: the table (communion), the seven-lamp candlestick (seven spirits of Isaiah 11) and the altar of incense (prayer).

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:14 Enter his gates plural with thanksgiving enter his courts plural with praise be thankful unto him and bless whose name his name okay so we have the blood but he says when you come in come in singing come in praising come in being thankful come in blessing God amen now there’s three gates. First gates here in to the court the court where the sacrifices for sin took place the animal sacrifices took place we don’t need anymore Christ became one sacrifice forever I don’t need to go back and have Christ die for me do I no the laver I can wash when I get tainted by life and to make mistakes I can go to the water of the word I go to the washing of regeneration of the spirit and get cleanse get renewed I don’t have to ask Christ to die for me again so why do Christians keep asking God to save them.

▶ 15:27 He did that so you mess up what you need is to be cleanse. Amen you don’t need Christ to die again you need to get into the word get into the spirit let the spirit come and cleanse you let the word cleanse you amen now here is the second gate the second gate is the doorway to the holy court this is the holy place this is the holy of holies and there is the communion table the loaves and the wine which is the body and blood of Christ amen where we’re going to be taking that today it is the table of remembering that Christ died for the sins of the world and the sins of the church when you take communion he says in first Corinthians 11 that you remember this is you do this and remember to me I died for you to cleanse you of sin to grow you up to mature you I died for you to come into me and talk with me and experience me that’s what the communion table is all about is just not a ceremony and it is not a symbol of the body and blood of Christ it is a principle of God that God will meet with you amen.

▶ 16:47 [unclear] then you got the candlestick with seven lamps the spirit of wisdom the spirit of knowledge the spirit of understanding the spirit of counsel the spirit of the fear of the Lord to depart from evil the spirit of strength and the spirit of the Lord [unclear] hallelujah seven spirits so when we have the fullness of the spirit what do we have wisdom knowledge understanding council fear of the Lord. Strength I.

▶ 17:24 Just thought I’d throw that out and it comes from the one spirit doesn’t it but that one spirit has what many expressions and the candlestick shows us these and you can find this in Isaiah 11 then you got the altar of incense let my prayer come before you as incense so we pray prayer is good prayer is talking to God Jesus can I come in and commune with you and meet with you sure son come on in you got the blood covering you you come in with praise and thanksgiving come on in we’ll talk we’ll have a powwow I’ll embrace you I love you amen or you can come in positively Jesus I’m here I’m washed by the blood I come in with thanksgiving I come in with praise I’m coming in to talk to your Lord I’m coming in to meet with you and he says come on in.

Alleluia. Then there is the third gate and then the courtroom of the holy of holies where God dwells and where he’s promised to talk to us and meet with us and I really encounter him and you can feel that you can experience that and we’re going to be talking about that a little later now I’m going to give you some scriptures on singing first Chronicles 25:7 the number instructed in the songs of the Lord with skill was 288 in 12 groups to 24 they rotate it all right they were instructed they prepared they practice till they got skillful they were superior they were good at what they did none of this make a joyful noise unto the Lord while they’re off key and out of sync and everything else [unclear] the singers 9:33 chapter 9 33 the singers were employed in that work day and night in the old

▶ 19:53 testament temple there was praise going on 24 hours a day and 15:16 the singers with instruments of music now we get the music in here singers with the music is powerful. Sounding causing to be heard announcing proclaiming by lifting up what the voice silent Christians you’re just going to have to grow out of that you gotta lift up what the voice can you say Jesus yeah it takes your voice. with what joy [unclear] doom and gloom I will enter his gate with sadness in my heart I will enter his courts with depression oh.

How should we come before him?

▶ Watch this part (20:52)

Short answer: With joy, not doom and gloom. Psalm 100:2: come before his presence with singing—revealed, he says, in the late-1940s awakening. Psalm 22:3: he inhabits the praises of Israel.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 20:52 That’s really inviting I mean people are going to just rush to the house of God with that kind of singing. I’m not worthy I’m just a flea on the door oh. That’s really going to excite people well you don’t know what happened to me through the week who cares what happened to you through the week the Bible says to lift up your voice with what joy. Sing praises with joy. Alleluia how many know joy’s accompanied with a smile can you smile for Jesus this morning [unclear] some of you just crack some muscles that have been used in a while. is the church the joy of the whole earth [unclear] yeah. Good morning don’t bother me I had my coffee yet I haven’t had my coffee [unclear].

▶ 21:52 And alia. Psalms 100:2 come before his presence with what singing and that was the emphasis emphasis of the fourth awakening in the late 40s he revealed to the church that you don’t have to moan and groan crawl on the hands and knees get on the floor and pound the floor and scream out to God he revealed that we could come into his presence with what singing it had been there for centuries but in the late forties God opened the understanding and people began to see that we can touch God by singing his praises hey man. Psalm 22:3 you are holy you that inhabit the praises of Israel where does he dwell in the praises and who is Israel the church God’s people are you getting the picture.

Is the covenant only about being blessed?

▶ Watch this part (22:52)

Short answer: Genesis 12:2–3: I will bless you and you shall be a blessing; in you all families shall be blessed. Services should bless the unlearned and unbelievers (1 Corinthians 14), not seem crazy or out of tune.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 22:52 Alleluias there’s nothing wrong with skill folks we read there they played what skillfully they sung skillfully they prepared they planned they got organized they got the tenors and the altos and the basses and everybody together now in closing. Genesis 12:2 I will make of you this is the God’s promise to Abraham his covenant which was incorporated into our covenant I will make of you a great nation this is his promise and it’s incorporated than the new covenant God wants to make us a great people the Christian nation a great nation a glorious church and I will bless you and I will make your name great. Okay and this is where most Christians are they want to be blessed financially they want to be blessed with a good marriage and kids they want to be blessed you know bless me bless me they want to feel good like these people they want to feel good.

▶ 23:59 And this is where many Christians stay in the blessing part of that covenant. But the other part says you shall be a blessing now is this a blessing the people come in unlearned and unbelievers. No way see in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed in first Corinthians 11 it says that the unlearned and the unbeliever will come in to your services and if you speak in tongues and without interpretation going to think you’re crazy see if you do something that’s not in order that’s not edifying that that doesn’t teach them and open their understanding they’re going to think you guys are [unclear] if you have praise and worship that the keys are out of tune and people can’t sing up there oh yeah they’re gonna go what in the world is this are you there see our services should be geared to what not just God blessing us but using us to what bless the families of the earth the unlearned there’s a lot of Christians that are unlearned and there’s.

What is the difference between a song service and a praise service?

▶ Watch this part (25:17)

Short answer: Showing off abilities vs. bringing people into God’s presence. Praise can open the door to prophecies and songs of the Lord; the one-chord passage lets you sing your own song to God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 25:17 A lot of unbelievers and when they come in we should have the skill and quality to have a praise service and praises where people meet with God that worship service that’s I don’t like the word song service because that’s what most churches have they just have a song service but when you have a praise service you connect with God there’s a difference in someone getting up and showing off their abilities and someone getting up and bringing the congregation into the presence of God that is a praise service and we’ll deal with worship later but are you with me and the Bible says [unclear] sing praises sing praises unto your God sing praises sing praises to your king sing praises did you get the message sing praises and he said do it with skill didn’t he he said get prepared have practices have variety [unclear].

▶ 26:17 Alleluia. You see the the worship part the praise part of the service is just as important as the word part because the praise part can bring prophecies can open the door to prophecies it can open the door to songs of the Lord and the reason that we go into a one chord progression is to give you a chance to sing your personal song to your God and have him come to you individually and meet with you that’s a place where you can speak in tongues if you wanted the whole congregation is just worshipping. Seeking God and you can speak in tongues and interpret them to yourself or whatever and and I mean you can just sing your song to the Lord you can meet with him without a hymn or a song being sung by the worship team it’s your chance to just touch God on your own at your level and that’s what that Indonesian church was doing.

Is God moving elsewhere in the world?

▶ Watch this part (27:15)

Short answer: He says in spirit-filled churches people are saved and healed, and over a thousand Muslims a year report Jesus appearing to them. Be jealous for that here.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 27:15 Amen I showed you these things God is moving throughout the world and he is really moving in spirit filled churches people are speaking in tongues they’re getting saved there’s miracles going on out there folks over in the middle east nations the muslim nations and the 90s it was one or two a year that Jesus would appear to now it’s oh there’s over a thousand a year that Jesus is coming and appearing to Muslims as an individual say I’m the one you’re looking for I’m Jesus I’m the one you’re seeking for and Muslims are coming to Christ and then when they find Christ they bring their family to Christ now the news doesn’t tell you these things but if you do you’re digging and you read news from other places of the world you’re going to find what I’m telling you is true amen.

Is singing praise good?

▶ Watch this part (28:10)

Short answer: Psalm 147:1: it is good to sing praises, pleasant, and praise is comely. Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs teach; don’t draw attention to yourself.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 28:10 Hallelujah how many a little jealous and you want God to do what he’s doing throughout the world right here yes there’s no wrong as nothing wrong with being jealous for that kind of jealousy what I don’t want to hear about Indonesia I don’t want to hear about Rome I want to hear about [unclear] amen and so we got to get the vision we got to get the singer singing the musicians playing we got to get organized we gotta practice we got to have variety and we got to do it with teaching that was a teaching song that I gave you some songs our worship some some songs are joyful song praise song and there and all of them teach but some songs are just designed to teach the unlearned and the unbeliever about the Bible Psalms 147:1 [unclear] it is what good it’s moral what’s moral to sing praises it is right got it church it’s the right thing to do what’s the right thing to do what’s the right thing to do sing praises.

▶ 29:21 Alleluia Psalms hymns and spiritual songs the Bible says we can do all three it is good for it is pleasant it’s enjoyable it’s pleasing you see it’s not a fearful thing it’s not a weird thing it’s an enjoyable pleasing thing when the musicians and the singers are together and we worship by the praises to the Lord not secular stuff the Lord stuff truth things about God things about Jesus things about truth praise is what comely beautiful attractive. You got to be careful we if you bring attention to yourself it distracts from him. So you really gotta.

▶ 30:16 The Bible says when they were one when they were in unity so when we’re in unity when we’re in harmony and we do things together when we raise our hands we raise them together you know it doesn’t bring attention to any one person when we dance we dance together and dancing will be next Sunday. and they don’t see somebody off doing their thing. They see a unified congregation. Expressing praise unto the Lord you see got it it’s easy for us to talk about other people we can talk about the catholic church let me tell you I learned as a young Christian that God isn’t disturbed by their idols he isn’t disturbed by the stations of the cross and the holy water and their robes and that he wants to meet with Catholics and change their life that’s what I found now I have you know we got to stop.

▶ 31:15 Defending ourselves and just say hey now that’s the way they’re doing it that’s their style that’s their thing you know and we got to love them and flow with them and that right. And again first Corinthians 14:40 let all things be done decently and in order the New Testament backs up the Old Testament [unclear] you see it should be a beautiful thing when when it’s seen when the unlearned come in unbeliever comes in it shouldn’t be something that is not attractive it should be attractive it should be beautiful and it should be orderly can I hear an amen.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Points to check: Psalm 100:4 spoken as “Psalms 104”; Psalm 138:4 spoken as “verse for”; WWII convent story details (Russian soldiers, Poland); over a thousand Muslims a year seeing Jesus; the late-1940s awakening; Isaiah 11 seven spirits list as spoken. Sensitive content kept as spoken: account of nuns raped by Russian soldiers; communion “not a symbol”; Catholic idols, stations of the cross and holy water.
