Seven Last Plagues Part 2: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In “Seven Last Plagues Part 2,” Pastor David G. Kincer begins with the believer’s security in Romans 8 and authority in Luke 10:19, then compares the plagues of Egypt with the plagues of Revelation, including the sorcerers’ limited power and the two witnesses. He ends with the three sources of deception in Revelation: religion, secular reasoning (science) and Satan himself.
Can spiritual powers separate a born-again believer from God’s love? (Romans 8:38-39)
Short answer: He says no: when you are born again and really committed to Christ, “you’re not going to backslide.” You might “fall and you might fail and goof up,” but “that spirit that you’ve been born with is going to pick you back up,” which he calls “the difference between religion and reality.”
▶ 0:02 Romans 8:38: “I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers shall separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” So is there spiritual powers? Are they trying to separate us? Can they? No. When you’re born again and you’re really committed to Christ, you’re not going to backslide. You might fall and you might fail and goof up and go through a cold season or a dumb time, but that Spirit that you’ve been born with is going to pick you back up. It’s going to convict you, it’s going to agitate you until you get back to being a son of the living God. See, that’s the difference between religion and reality. Some people are just thinking in their head they’re Christians, when it’s got to be a birthing of the heart.
Scripture in this part
Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
— Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:02How can spiritual powers influence a person? (Simon the sorcerer, Acts 8:10)
Short answer: He says Simon the sorcerer “had the kingdom of darkness power upon him,” bewitched the people, and made them think he was God. He says this is “an illustration of it right in the Bible” of how principalities and powers influence a person “with their doctrine, with their supernatural limited power.”
▶ 1:05 Acts 8:10: “To whom they gave heed” (this is Simon the sorcerer) and they respected him, they regarded this man, saying, “This man is the great power of God,” for he bewitched them with his what? Sorceries. See, we have a guy there that had the kingdom of darkness power upon him, and he tricked the people, bewitched the people, put them under his spell to think that he was what? God. Doesn’t it say that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light and his ministers disguise themselves as ministers of righteousness? And so these people think he’s God. He’s not God; he’s on the side of the enemy. Amen. So we have an illustration of it right in the Bible, how the principalities and powers can influence a human being with their doctrine, with their supernatural limited power. It is what? Limited. Are you with me?
Scripture in this part
Acts 8:9-11 (NKJV)
But there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great, to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is the great power of God.” And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time.
— Acts 8:9-11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:052 Corinthians 11:14-15 (NKJV)
And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
— 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:36Can a real believer be possessed by a demon? (Luke 10:19)
Short answer: He says no, “that’s not in the Bible,” because Jesus lives in us and is “the top power in the whole universe.” He says the word “power” in Luke 10:19 means authority, so believers have “authority over” the supernatural power of Satan and the kingdom of darkness.
▶ 2:16 Luke 10:19: “I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy.” This word power is not the same as that power. This word power is authority; this word power is supernatural. And we have what? Authority over the power, the supernatural power of Satan and the kingdom of darkness. Us believers have authority over them. So can a real believer be possessed with a demon? No way. That’s not in the Bible. Why? Jesus lives in us. Who’s the top power in the whole universe? Jesus Christ. How is the demon going to overpower him? Wake up, church! You are much more powerful than you know you are, because who lives within you? Hallelujah.
Scripture in this part
Luke 10:19 (NKJV)
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
— Luke 10:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:16Which plagues of Egypt appear in Revelation, and what power did Pharaoh’s sorcerers have?
Short answer: He says seven of Egypt’s ten plagues are used in Revelation, and that God’s people were still on earth during them rather than raptured. He says the sorcerers had only “limited supernatural power,” and “they can only do what God limits them to do,” so it “was working” against them.
▶ 3:21 Now let’s take a look at Egypt’s plagues here. Seven of the 10 plagues used in Egypt, when God went down to plague Egypt and get his people out, are used in Revelation: the water to blood, the locusts, the boils, the hail, the darkness, the death of the firstborn, the frogs. And the people of God were still where? On earth, weren’t they? They didn’t get raptured; they were still on earth. Most of them would not what? Repent. Isn’t that true, including Pharaoh? Just wouldn’t repent, after all these signs and all this. The sorcerers did signs. Remember, they weren’t doing anything till Moses came along, and then Moses came along changing a rod to a snake, and then they changed their rod to a snake. Never did that before. Why? Because God gave them limited power to do it at that time. They can only do what God limits them to do.
▶ 4:40 So they turn water to blood. Did they need more snakes? No, they needed to get rid of Moses’s snake. Did they need more blood? No, they needed to turn the water back to clear water, but they couldn’t. Why? ‘Cause God wouldn’t allow it. But he allowed them to change more water to blood; that isn’t what they needed. Are you there? And then they brought frogs up. Moses brought frogs up, and so the sorcerers, they brought frogs up. Did they need more frogs? No, they wanted to get rid of the frogs. Moses, I mean Pharaoh, asked them, “Get rid of the frogs,” Moses. So the sorcerers are getting more of what they want to get rid of, and even though they had limited supernatural powers, it was working what? Against them, and it was obvious that they had no power at all.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 7:10-12 (NKJV)
So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the LORD commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
— Exodus 7:10-12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:22Exodus 8:6-7 (NKJV)
So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.
— Exodus 8:6-7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:10Who are the two witnesses, and what was the seal on God’s people in Egypt?
Short answer: He says Egypt’s two witnesses were “Moses and Aaron,” and that we don’t know who the two witnesses in Revelation are: “you’re just dreaming.” He says the seal on God’s people in Egypt was the blood on the door, so “the mark of the beast got punished back there.”
▶ 5:46 Now, they had two witnesses. Who were their two witnesses? Moses and Aaron. We got two witnesses in Revelation. We don’t know who they are. Some people say it’s, you know, Elijah and Enoch or whatever; you’re just dreaming. We don’t know who those two witnesses are, and neither did Egypt know who the two witnesses, I mean Israel, going to be when God brought them out of Egypt. They didn’t know until they came along. Now, over in Egypt, the land creatures died, and in Revelation the sea creatures are dying. Plants are destroyed by hail and locusts versus hail and fire in Revelation. Now, the seal on God’s people was the blood on the door in Egypt. Isn’t that right? If you had the blood on the door, you were sealed; the death angel couldn’t touch you. Now, what was the mark of the Egyptians? No seal, no blood on the door. The death angel came right in. See, the mark of the beast got punished back there just like in Revelation. Are you with me? Does that help clear things up? Yes. Hallelujah.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 11:3 (NKJV)
And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
— Revelation 11:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:54Exodus 12:13 (NKJV)
Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
— Exodus 12:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:38What do “lightning, thunderings and voices” from the throne mean? (Revelation 4, 8, 11, 16)
Short answer: He says the same statement appears in Revelation 4, 8, 11 and 16, and in the Old Testament such thunder and lightning meant God was “rising to avenge, protect his people.” He says “God is” avenging “his people” in the seals and trumpets and “he’s there for you” in every generation.
▶ 7:17 Now, Revelation 4, Revelation 8, Revelation 11 and Revelation 16 says the same statement, and the statement is this: “Out of the throne proceeded lightning, thunderings and voices.” Remember, when we look this up in the Bible, when in the Old Testament God brought thunderings and lightning and voices and smoke kind of out his nose, he was what? Rising to avenge, protect his people. Hallelujah! Aren’t you glad you got a God that isn’t sitting up there asleep? Folks, we got a lot more promises from God than we really understand, because preachers for years have gotten us away from this stuff. Now, the first voice is after the churches and before the seals. The second time it’s used is after the seals and before the trumpets. The next time it’s used is after the trumpets and before the bowls, and then it’s used after the bowls, and it’s the same statement. See, God is what? Avenging his people. He’s moving in the earth, in his church, in the seals, in the trumpets, not necessarily chronological order; just he’s there for you every, what? Generation. You lived in my dad, my grandpa, my great-great-grandpa, whatever generation it was, all the way back to the beginning, God is there ready to rise up for you who put your trust in him. Hallelujah. And he’s going to be there at the end. Ain’t that powerful?
Scripture in this part
Revelation 4:5 (NKJV)
And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
— Revelation 4:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:18Revelation 8:5 (NKJV)
Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.
— Revelation 8:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:19Revelation 11:19 (NKJV)
Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.
— Revelation 11:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:20Revelation 16:18 (NKJV)
And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.
— Revelation 16:18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:21What does he say about the rapture timeline and a rebuilt temple?
Short answer: He says there are “too many scriptures” against Jesus coming and not being seen by everyone, and he calls the idea of a rebuilt temple “the most dumbest thing I ever heard of.” He says Jesus “doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands” and was “always after a people.”
▶ 9:17 Now, okay, here we got the rapture. You notice the curve goes halfway down and back up. Can’t have Jesus coming and everybody seeing him, because there’s too many scriptures that says that’s not it. So we have this little... I call it the Jehovah Witness thing: after the Jehovah Witness missed so much, they said, “Well, God, it just happened in the heavenlies.” Okay, so us fundamentalists and Spirit-filled people and all that, that goes for this rapture doctrine; we have a little short, a little shortcoming here. All right, then they got the seals, and then they got the trumpets, and then they got the temple being rebuilt. That is the most dumbest thing I ever heard of. If you really read your Bible, there is temples have been done with since Jesus came. It plainly says he doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands; he doesn’t care about temples made with hands. He was always after a people. Amen. He’s not interested in Crystal Cathedral and all their, you know, glorified things that are pleasing to the flesh, or any kind of [unclear] building like that. He’s interested in you being elaborately adorned in righteousness, putting on the image of Jesus.
Scripture in this part
Acts 17:24 (NKJV)
God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.
— Acts 17:24 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:12 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Are the bowls part of the seventh trumpet, and does God favor one nation over others?
Short answer: He says the bowls are “part of the seventh trumpet, just like the seven trumpets are part of the seventh seal; it’s all one big thing.” He says God does not favor the Jews “over the smallest nation,” because “we are his sheep,” and “no one is insignificant to him.”
▶ 10:40 Hallelujah. And then the great tribulation. My, my, my. And then they got the bowls separated here. Here’s a real problem: they got the bowls separated from this trumpet. The bowls are part of the seventh trumpet, just like the seven trumpets are part of the seventh seal. It’s all one big thing. But see, when we come up with ideas, we got to stretch things to make it work. And then they have the second coming here, and of course the Jews are going to be persecuted. Does God favor the Jews over the smallest nation and culture in the earth? No, folks. We are his sheep, and the people of what? His pasture, all of us. You know, why do we want to take industrial nations and make them something in prophecies, when God is interested in all nations? He’s interested in the people on the islands of the seas. No one is insignificant to him. Can that be an amen?
Scripture in this part
Psalm 100:3 (NKJV)
Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
— Psalm 100:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:28 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Does he say God will penalize a nation, such as Russia, in prophecy?
Short answer: He says “no culture or race or whatever is above another in God’s eyes,” so God is “not going to penalize Russians because they’re Russian.” He tells how God corrected him as a young minister for wanting to “judge and condemn” them, and says “God’s talking about spiritual things.”
▶ 11:57 Amen. And no culture or race or whatever is above another in God’s eyes. He loves and cares for them all, and he’s speaking to them all. So he’s not going to penalize Russians because they’re Russian, and these theory people want Russia to come down and attack Jerusalem. Are you with me? Now, this is how God got my attention as a young minister. He said, “David, you’re going to judge and condemn all Russians because they’re Russians, trying to fit it into your little feebleminded idea of what’s going to happen?” And right quick I got the message: you’re not condemned because you’re a Russian. Amen. God’s talking about spiritual things. I mean, I know there’s people in Russia that still believe; they laid down their life. Millions of people lost their life in Russia because they were Christian, especially the Christian Ukrainians. Stalin just went in and slaughtered them, took their churches and everything.
What does he mean by the “traditional view” of the seals, trumpets and bowls?
Short answer: He says the seals wind up “over the trumpets, and the trumpet is over the bowls,” which is “exactly how it’s written.” He says that when you get “the seven years of tribulation” out, “this is the picture you have.”
▶ 13:19 Now, here is a basic and true illustration called the traditional view. You notice how the seals wind up over the trumpets, and the trumpet is over the bowls? That’s exactly how it’s written, folks. This is one thing. Hallelujah. When you get the seven years of tribulation out and all this nonsense, this is the picture you have. Hallelujah.
What are the three sources of deception in Revelation?
Short answer: He names three: the woman who “deceived the nations by her sorceries,” the beast and false prophet doing signs, and “Satan, the devil, that deceived all nations.” He says Christians “don’t get deceived here; they’re not fooled.”
▶ 13:53 Now, deception. There’s three sources of deception. Okay, how many? First one, Revelation 18:23. We hit her last week. I went forward and drove a lesson back so I could preach this on Mother’s Day, and now we’re going back to the lesson before it. “She deceived the nations by her sorceries.” What was Simon doing in the book of Acts, deceiving the people by his what? Sorceries. He had limited supernatural power to make people think he’s God. He’s the real deal. Now, Revelation 19:20: “The beast and the false prophet doing signs deceive them that received the mark and worshiped his image.” The Christians don’t get deceived here; they’re not fooled. It doesn’t say all people here. Hallelujah. And then you got Satan, the devil, that deceived all nations, cast into the lake of fire where the beast and false prophet are being tormented forever.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 18:23 (NKJV)
The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.
— Revelation 18:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:10Revelation 19:20 (NKJV)
Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
— Revelation 19:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:51Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)
The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
— Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:23 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How does Satan tempt and test people, and should we test God?
Short answer: He says Satan tempts with the same tests he gave Jesus: make stones bread, jump from the pinnacle, worship me for the nations. He says he “tests us with possessions, with position,” and “extremeness in religion.” Asking God to prove himself is “testing, tempting God,” and we know he is God “because of the Spirit that dwells within us.”
▶ 15:28 Okay, these are the three areas of deception. Satan comes to tempt you, to test you, to try to get you to do something that you know you shouldn’t be doing, like Jesus, you know, “Make these stones bread.” Well, Jesus didn’t have to make them bread. See, you know, “Jump off this pinnacle, and boy, if you land safely, then we know you’re God.” You know, us Christians don’t have to prove anything. And “I’ll give you all the nations and all the wealth of the nations if you just worship me.” See, so he comes and tests us with possessions, with position; he comes and tests us with, you know, extremeness in religion. I heard a preacher once say that, “Hey God, you got to prove to me yourself: you move that statue on my mantle over,” and that statue moved. I go, “Man, you’re full of baloney.” That’s testing, tempting God, and the Bible tells us not to do that. We know he’s God because of the Spirit that dwells within us. Isn’t that what it says? That’s the witness.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 4:3-9 (NKJV)
Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ” Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
— Matthew 4:3-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:41 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Matthew 4:7 (NKJV)
Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ”
— Matthew 4:7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:32 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How does the woman of Revelation deceive the whole world?
Short answer: He says the deception is “this faith and grace doctrine for eternal life without any accountability to a restrained lifestyle.” He says “religion” offers “something after death that is false: no requirement, no accountability,” and he contrasts this with trusting God “no matter what,” like Job.
▶ 16:44 And if he never does nothing, like Job said, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” If everything goes bad for us, it doesn’t matter; we know in ourself that Jesus is God and we love him and we’re going to serve him no matter what. But if you don’t have that, you’re going to fall for his tricks. The Bible says we are not ignorant of his devices. Now, how does this woman deceive the whole world? It’s simple: it’s this faith and grace doctrine for eternal life without any accountability to a restrained lifestyle. “Man, I can go to heaven and live any way I want.” “Okay, sign me up, sign me up.” And do you know how many sinners believe they’re going to heaven because of grace and faith and no lifestyle? “Well, that sounds good. I can just do what I want, I’m going to heaven.” That’s how she deceives them.
▶ 17:45 And she’s with the other religions. You know, in the Muslim religion, if you’re a good woman and you obey your husband to every detail, you get to go to heaven. Well, that’s great for the husband; how does the husband go to heaven? Does he have to obey his wife in every detail? It’s ridiculous. And so you got these women over there as slaves; they’re just merchandise, trying to earn their way to heaven. Are you there? See, religion does that: they offer you eternal life, something after death that is false. No requirement, no accountability. You can treat your neighbor any way you want, you can divorce your wife, you can step on her, and, you know, you just live what you want, you’ll still go to heaven. Folks, that’s the big lie, and it’s big in America. Hallelujah.
Scripture in this part
Job 13:15 (NKJV)
Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him.
— Job 13:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:462 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV)
lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.
— 2 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:06 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How do the beast and the false prophet deceive people? Is science a source of false prophecy?
Short answer: He says the beast “came out of the nations, came out of the earth, came out of the people,” and that “science is one of the biggest sources of false prophecies there is: secular reasoning.” He grants that science is “just knowledge” that has done miraculous things, and says it “exposed superstition.”
▶ 18:47 How does the beast and the false prophet deceive people? Well, you remember the beast here came out of the sea. This woman came out of where? The bottomless pit, Satan’s kingdom. See, Satan is king of the bottomless pit, but this beast is what? Came out of the nations; came out of the earth, came out of the people. Now, they’re always talking about Christians prophesying and false prophets. Let me tell you, science is one of the biggest sources of false prophecies there is: secular reasoning. Secular means non-spiritual, without God. All right, science in modern days have done miraculous things. They put a man on the moon, who, rockets going into the universe, atomic power, atomic weapons, heart transplants, medicines that gives us a much longer life and a healthier life through science. The word science means the study of physical things; it’s knowledge. It’s not some super-duper word that makes them a guru; it’s just knowledge. Knowledge has made the airplane, the computer, the internet. Knowledge exposed superstition. You know, 100 years ago there was ridiculous superstitions. Then science exposed all that.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 13:1 (NKJV)
Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
— Revelation 13:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:52 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Revelation 17:8 (NKJV)
The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
— Revelation 17:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:00 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Is the increase of knowledge a sign of the last days? What does he say about evolution? (Daniel 12:4)
Short answer: He says Daniel shows that in the last days “knowledge will” increase, so “we know we’re in the last days because of the increase of” knowledge, “not because of wars and rumors of wars.” He then calls evolution “a false teaching” with no evidence, and says “the Bible says that God made from one blood all nations.”
▶ 20:32 So we see a supernatural power there. See, and God said in Daniel that in the last days knowledge will what? Increase. And we see it. So we know we’re in the last days because of the increase of what? Knowledge, not because of wars and rumors of wars; those things will always be. Now, but science also has false prophets. Evolution is a false teaching. They don’t have any evidence for it; they cannot back it up. And yet they propagate it on the people because they want to undermine the Bible and they want to get out from under the moral standards of the Bible. You read the history when these things were discovered: and remember, black people, when Darwin come up with this thing, were going to be eradicated from the earth. They came, you know, they were the link between the monkey and the white man. Are you guys aware of this? See, that was a what? False prophecy. It’s right in his book; I’m not making it up. Women had the brain of a child; that’s what he said. They could rise no higher than the brain of a child, with their silly giddy. And now we got women ruling nations. See, that’s false prophecy. Are you there? I mean, you know, the Bible says that God made from one blood all nations. Absolutely. We didn’t come from no monkey.
Scripture in this part
Daniel 12:4 (NKJV)
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
— Daniel 12:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:36Acts 17:26 (NKJV)
And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
— Acts 17:26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:21 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say about creation, the Big Bang, and why “the people of the book” are not deceived?
Short answer: He says the Big Bang is “a theory” and that scientists “keep changing the lie.” He says “the people of the book” aren’t affected because they have “the truth in the Bible” and Jesus “is the truth in their life.” He says secular reasoning forgets that “God’s in control of things” and that “in the end they win.”
▶ 22:35 Hallelujah. Yeah, that’s good stuff. And you people in college and all that, you need to be reading that Bible, because they’re going to distort your thinking. Creation, the Big Bang theory is exactly what it is: it’s a theory. They weren’t there to observe it. They just keep lying and they keep changing the lie. The more they investigate, the older the earth’s got to be so they can fit it into, you know, their plan. So the earth started with just a few million years old, now it’s billions of years old since I was introduced to evolution as a teenager, ‘cause they got to fit this stuff in, so they just spread it out longer. False prophecy, and people are gullible and they’re following it, but not the people of the book. You notice the people of the book aren’t affected. Why? They got the truth. They not only got the truth in the Bible, they possess the truth: Jesus is the truth in their life, and they reject these things.
▶ 23:44 Their end-of-the-world theories have all missed. “Homosexuals born that way” is a big lie. “The embryo is not a human being,” another big false prophecy. The Ice Age that was supposed to come in the 1970s never appeared. Now they turned us into a hothouse age, which will not appear. See, they forget that God, we, with secular reasoning, forgets that God’s in control of things. Hallelujah. And I can tell you there’s not going to be a melting of the ice caps, because it would flood the world, and the Bible says that Jesus would never flood the world again. Didn’t it? And see, God’s people, people of the book, don’t fall for the secular reasoning. They stand on truth, and in the end they win, because the secular reasoning people come up at the short end, and so they got to rethink and they got to come up with a new idea, and then they called it, “Well, that’s just the mistake we made, now we’ve got the real truth.” Then a few years later this real truth is another mistake. “Well, now we got the real truth.” And that’s the way they work. Are you out there? That’s the sources of deception: it is religion, it is secular reasoning, and then it is Satan himself coming to tempt you.
