Seven Last Plagues Part 1: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In “Seven Last Plagues Part 1,” Pastor David G. Kincer works through the seven bowls of wrath in Revelation 15-16, arguing that the plagues are spiritual illustrations of something that happens before Jesus returns. He covers the kings of the east and the Euphrates, Armageddon and “I come as a thief,” why Jesus comes after the tribulation, and the powers of heaven being shaken.
What are the seven last plagues in Revelation 15:1, and have they happened?
Short answer: He says the seven last plagues “concludes the wrath of God,” and that there is “no historical Bible evidence” that they have literally taken place. His conclusion is that something will happen before Jesus returns that gets the world’s attention and leaves people “a choice to repent and serve Jesus Christ or not repent.”
▶ 0:01 Today we’re going to be talking about what the Bible calls the seven last plagues in the book of Revelation. That concludes the wrath of God; it finishes it, brings it to an end. It says in Revelation 15:1, “I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.” So these last seven are the end of these things. Now, here’s a little picture of the seven. There is no historical Bible evidence that any of these last plagues have literally taken place, so that only leaves one conclusion: there’s something going to happen before Jesus returns that will get the world’s population’s attention and leave them with a choice to repent and serve Jesus Christ or not repent. So something very influential is going to be happening in these last days to separate the good from the bad and give people a chance to accept Christ.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 15:1 (NKJV)
Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.
— Revelation 15:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:19What do the first four bowls of wrath do? (Revelation 16:2-9)
Short answer: He walks through the first four bowls: painful sores on those with the mark of the beast, the sea becoming blood, the fresh water turned to blood “for the martyrs,” and scorching heat, after which people still “blasphemed God.” He says he is not sure how humans live in the sea and that “it could be an allegory.”
▶ 1:31 So the first angel poured out his bowl upon the earth, and there were painful sores on the people with the mark of the beast and those that worship the beast. In the book of Revelation, have you seen it? It didn’t pay to worship the beast; it didn’t pay to get his mark. They’re always being tormented; something’s always bad happening to them. The second angel poured out his bowl, and the sea became dead men’s blood, and all living souls in the sea die. Now, I don’t know how humans live in the sea, unless somewhere in the future we build cities underneath the ocean, but it could be on boats, could be those beside the sea, the oceans, and it could be an allegory. But anyway, the only place where men are dying in these seven last plagues is here in the sea, or things are dying; could be just the creatures of the sea.
▶ 2:44 Then he turns all the fresh water to blood for the martyrs. You remember back in the seals, there had to be a number of martyrs, people that had died for Jesus’ name, for Jesus’ way, for his book, for his truth. They had to be a certain number that were martyred, killed because they loved Jesus and served Jesus, before Jesus would return. And here we find it again in these last plagues: he gives these people that murder God’s people the blood to drink, and the angel said, “This is just, because they shed your people’s blood, and you’ve given them blood to drink.” Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl, and he had power to scorch people on earth with severe heat, and they blasphemed God; they spoke evil of God and they blasphemed God’s name. They would not give God any glory, would not give God any honor, after all the other plagues before and now this one. So you know, there’s a hardness in people’s hearts somewhere that even these things cannot turn around.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 16:2-9 (NKJV)
So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died. Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters saying: “You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due.” And I heard another from the altar saying, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.” Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.
— Revelation 16:2-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:31Why do people refuse to repent in the fifth bowl, and what judges us? (Revelation 16:10-11)
Short answer: He says that under the fifth bowl people bit their tongues in pain and “repented not of their deeds,” and that “it’s our deeds that we’re going to be judged by, not what church you go to.” He says people cannot repent unless the Word is preached, so “the saints are still here,” preaching “both by example and by their mouth.”
▶ 4:13 And then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the seat of the beast, and the kingdom was full of darkness. The people of his kingdom gnawed (they chewed their tongues for pain); they were in such pain that they bit their tongues to find relief, and they blasphemed God because of the pains and the sores. See, they still got the sores of the first plague, and they talked bad about God and evil about God for these pains and the sores, and who, recognizing that God is the one who had the authority over these plagues. And it says they repented not of their deeds. And it’s our deeds that we’re going to be judged by, not what church you go to, not your baptismal certificate. And you got to remember, people cannot repent unless the Word is preached. See, and how can they hear the Word unless there’s a preacher? So the saints are still here, preaching, both by example and by their mouth, speaking the Word of God, and they won’t repent, just like in the days of Noah, just like in the days of Lot.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 16:10-11 (NKJV)
Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain. They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.
— Revelation 16:10-11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:14Romans 10:14 (NKJV)
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
— Romans 10:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:20 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Luke 17:26-29 (NKJV)
And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
— Luke 17:26-29 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:38 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Who are the kings of the east in Revelation 16:12?
Short answer: He says the Bible “doesn’t tell us who the kings of the east are,” though “kings came from the east when Jesus died.” He says it “doesn’t have to be China” or India, as “these theory people” say, merely because they are east of Jerusalem.
▶ 5:43 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl, and the Euphrates River became dry; the kings of the east were going to cross over the river. It made the way for the kings of the east to come, and I’m sure you know who the kings of the east are; everybody knows that Sunday school story. Huh? Yeah, you’re looking at me like, “Yeah, really?” It doesn’t tell us who the kings of the east are, but we know that kings came from the east when Jesus died. So it doesn’t have to be China, it doesn’t have to be India, as these theory people tell us, because they’re east of Jerusalem. Anyway, the kings of the east. The demons come out of Satan, the mouth of Satan, the mouth of the beast and the mouth of the false prophet, and they come out as frogs.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 16:12 (NKJV)
Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.
— Revelation 16:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:44Do demons come out of people as frogs or spiders? (Revelation 16:13-14)
Short answer: He says “demons are spirit; they don’t come out as anything,” and that you cannot take a metaphor in Revelation and say demons come out of people in some fashion. He says the frogs came out of the dragon, the beast and the false prophet, and that Satan already has “an army of demon men” to influence the earth, so “he’s illustrating.”
▶ 6:51 Now, when I traveled to third world countries and we’re ministering down there, they tell me, you know, that they cast a demon out and it came out as a spider, and it came out... I go, “Folks, that is not Bible. Demons are spirit; they don’t come out as anything. They come out the way they went in: a spirit.” You can’t take a verse in Revelation that’s metaphoric, illustrating something, and then say demons come out of us in some kind of fashion. Are you with me? But see, we have these extreme things going on all over the world in the church world because we don’t know our Bible. Now, you got to remember, this frog came out of Satan himself. Can we see Satan? No. The frog came out of the beast. It’s possible that we can’t see this beast that everybody is so sure is going to be a group of nations and a group of kings, and it came out of the false prophet. Just getting your mind to think.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 16:13-14 (NKJV)
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
— Revelation 16:13-14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:51What does “I come as a thief” mean, and what is Armageddon? (Revelation 16:14-16)
Short answer: He says the nations are gathered “for war at the place of Armageddon,” and Jesus says “I come as a thief,” which he explains is because “no one knows when the thief is coming.” He says “nobody knows when he’s coming” and “we just don’t know.”
▶ 8:01 You know, we read books in the Christian bookstore, and when we read the Bible we just read it right in, but if we just use a little common sense, we can get real Bible truths here. Okay, hallelujah. Does Satan need something coming out of his mouth to influence the earth with demonic power? No, because he already has an army of demon men doing that. Ain’t that right? So see, he’s illustrating. He’s illustrating now. And so they come for war; he gets all the nations to come for war at the place of Armageddon (Armageddon, as I’ll show it to you in a minute). And then he says, “Behold, I come as a thief in the night.” Now, have we heard that statement before? Yeah, Jesus said, “I come as a thief.” The apostles said it. And so, he says, you know, that’s because no one knows when the thief is coming. The thief doesn’t announce himself, because if he did, you’d be ready to blow his head off. So Jesus is coming; nobody knows when he’s coming, and this is where the [unclear] really miss it, folks. We just don’t know. Can’t we get it? But anyway, now he says this is the place where he’s coming as a thief. This is it. Are you there?
Scripture in this part
Revelation 16:14-16 (NKJV)
For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.
— Revelation 16:14-16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:49Revelation 16:15 (NKJV)
“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
— Revelation 16:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:54Where are the saints during the plagues, and what does he say about the rapture? (Revelation 16:15)
Short answer: He says Jesus promises to bless those whose garments are white, so “the saints” are “still here on earth,” “preaching” and “walking in righteousness,” and God is “blessing us in the middle of all these plagues.” He says “righteousness is our garment and unrighteousness is our shame.”
▶ 9:47 And he also says he’s going to bless those whose garments are white and righteous. He’s going to bless those that are living for him. And so, where are the saints? Still here on earth. And what’s with this rapture thing? They’re still here. These are the seven last plagues, and we’re still here; we’re preaching, and we’re walking in righteousness, and God is blessing us in the middle of all these plagues. Now that’s a God, amen. That is a God. He’s worth something; he can do things for his people, those who serve him. He can do something for them. “He that watches and keeps his garment, blessed are they,” he says, “lest you walk naked and they see his shame.” See, righteousness is our garment and unrighteousness is our shame, and that’s all through the Bible. Isn’t that right? Hallelujah.

Revelation 16:15 (NKJV)
“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
— Revelation 16:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:54Revelation 16:15 (NKJV)
“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
— Revelation 16:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:45What does the Euphrates River drying up mean? (Revelation 16:12)
Short answer: He says the Euphrates begins in the area of the Garden of Eden, and that the “dry river” made sense to those who 150 years ago thought of horses crossing, but today troops could simply be dropped “out of the air.” He concludes the dry Euphrates “has nothing to do with anything except in the spiritual.”
▶ 11:10 Now, here is a picture, or map, of a map with the Euphrates River right here. As you follow it north, it goes into where the Garden of Eden used to be. How many already knew where the Garden of Eden was? All right, now the rest of you just found out where the Garden of Eden was. The Euphrates was found its head in the Garden of Eden, along with four other rivers. Okay, now let me ask you something. 150 years ago, when the rapture theory came out, we didn’t have airplanes, amphibious vehicles and so forth. So the Euphrates River drying up, yeah, we could get across the Euphrates. Well, they got to get across the Tigris first. The Tigris is another big river. Why wouldn’t it dry up? Have I got your brain thinking? But see, back then it was horses, and yeah, the river dry, man, they can come right across. Well, they got a lot of mountains and they got a lot of rivers to cross, if the Chinese and the Indians and all these eastern nations are going to come over and destroy and fight a battle at Armageddon there in Israel.
▶ 12:31 All right, are you with me? Do we need a dry river to get across today? No, we just drop them out of the air. Amphibious vehicles could land here, and our troops are just running up there with their Humvees and all these vehicles, and, man, we’re right there. We don’t need no Euphrates River dried up. But see, they didn’t know that back then. Their little human minds were trying to figure this out with the knowledge that they had then. Are you there? So obviously this dry river Euphrates has nothing to do with anything except in the spiritual. Amen. And these are spiritual illustrations, as we will see.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 2:10-14 (NKJV)
Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there. The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes around the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is Hiddekel; it is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.
— Genesis 2:10-14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:21Revelation 16:12 (NKJV)
Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.
— Revelation 16:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:53Are the “kings of the east” really China and India? What does he say about end-time theories?
Short answer: He says the eastern kings are tagged as China and India “because they’re east of Israel,” but other nations in the south do not follow Jesus either, so “he’s not talking about really eastern nations.” He says a theory “can’t be proven as a fact,” and when people say they know when Jesus is coming, “the Bible plainly says what we don’t know.”
▶ 13:22 Now, here’s Israel, and this is where all the theory people have all the armies congregating down here at Armageddon. It’s a series of mountains in southern Israel, and this is where they have the whole big war going on. Now, folks, let’s use some common sense. The eastern kings: we are tagging China, India and all those eastern nations with a tag because they’re east of Israel. Now, do you think they’re the only nations that don’t like God? You know, south of that is Africa, and there’s a lot of nations that, you know, there they still worship the devil and demons and stuff like that in there, and Muslim has a big hold in Africa. You got Australia, farther south than that, you got South America. Now, you think all those nations are for Jesus? Come on. You know that’s not true. Ain’t that right? So see, he’s not talking about really eastern nations, China and all that. These theory people just don’t get it.
▶ 14:42 And something is a theory because what? It can’t be proven as a fact; it doesn’t work every time. That’s why, when I was witnessing to a couple of young men, I told them evolution is a theory. They said, “No, it’s a fact.” I said, “No, it’s a theory; they can’t prove it.” They teach it like it’s a fact, but it’s a theory because they have no evidence to prove what they’re saying. None. I said, “Did you know the scientific method?” “No.” I said, “Well, how can you stand on science and not know how science works?” So I told them the scientific method. It’s a good method, but scientists need to use it. Ain’t that right? They need to use it themselves. And anyway, these theories we have about the second coming is, number one, a theory, when they say they know when he’s coming and the Bible plainly says what we don’t know. We just know he’s coming, and that’s good enough for me. How about you?

Revelation 16:16 (NKJV)
And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.
— Revelation 16:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:28What happens at the seventh bowl, and can Revelation be in chronological order? (Revelation 16:17-21)
Short answer: He says that at the seventh bowl God says “It is done,” the end of the wrath, with a great earthquake and the cities of the nations falling. He says since the islands and mountains were already gone at the sixth seal, “this cannot be literally and in chronological order.”
▶ 15:58 Now, let’s get back to the seventh plague. He poured out his bowl, and God said, “It is done.” This is it. This is the end of the wrath, the end of the plagues. There was a great earthquake, and the great city was divided into three parts; the cities of the nations fell. New York just went down, just like that. Aren’t you glad you’re living in [unclear], not LA? How many, you know, if you’re serving God in LA, if that nation falls, God’s going to... what? He’s going to protect you. He’s God, folks. There’s no islands and no mountains; they’re gone. Now, that’s a big thing, but we already found back there at the sixth seal that the islands and mountains were gone. When did they reappear? Are you guys out there, do you ever think this way? I’m going to show you a little later, we’re going to go back to the sixth seal: the islands and the mountains were gone back then; how did they appear again? You see, in other words, this cannot be literally and in chronological order, because there’s the several clashes here, as we will see in a minute. Are you interested?
Scripture in this part
Revelation 16:17-21 (NKJV)
Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.
— Revelation 16:17-21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:03Revelation 6:12-14 (NKJV)
I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
— Revelation 6:12-14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:50Can anyone know the day or hour of Jesus’ return?
Short answer: He says Christians “literally fight over their belief in the end times, when Jesus plainly said nobody knows the day or the hour.” He says when someone predicts it for a certain month “he’ll be wrong again,” and that God “wouldn’t come just because he wanted to show him wrong.”
▶ 17:33 You see, these people can write books and all this, and we read their books and we get all hyped up and we don’t go check the book, and then we fight over (the Christians literally fight over) their belief in the end times, when Jesus plainly said nobody knows the day or the hour. We act like we got it down. Somebody’s predicting it to happen this month, and he’ll be wrong again. I told the church when I was in my 20s that I would not see the return of Jesus Christ. Why? Everybody just thought I was a heretic, but I’d read enough of the book to know there’s some things has to be done, and also read enough of the book to know that God wouldn’t come just because he wanted to show him wrong, even... he just, you know, like this 2012. Yeah, there’s going to be a big embarrassment next year. God’s got this stuff on his calendar anyway. Hail came down; they blaspheme God again, they speak evil of God.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 24:36 (NKJV)
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
— Matthew 24:36 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:46 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Does Jesus return before or after the tribulation? (Matthew 24:29)
Short answer: He reads “immediately after the tribulation” and says Jesus comes after, not before, the tribulation, so “every eye shall … see him,” not a quiet return. He says the “the powers of the heaven shall be shaken” means “the supernatural rulers in heaven,” tied to wrestling “against principalities and powers.”
▶ 18:48 Now, let’s take a look at some interesting Scriptures here. Here we go. I just listened to [unclear] Lindsay last week on TV. I was channel surfing there, and he was, and sure enough, he went here and he quoted this verse, and then talked about all the wars going on and all the rest, and I sat there and, gosh, Almighty, this guy’s making millions of bucks lying to people. Read this verse with me: “Immediately after the tribulation” (what’s this, “before tribulation” stuff?) “of those days shall the sun and moon be darkened.” Is that what we have over in Revelation, the sun and moon darkening? Isn’t that what we saw? “The stars shall fall from heaven.” Is that what Revelation said? I mean, John is just writing what was already written. “The powers of the heaven shall be shaken.” Two things here. Number one, when is he coming, before or after tribulation? After. It plainly says it, doesn’t it?
▶ 20:12 So they got to have the rapture, a “many return”: he doesn’t really come and everybody see him; he just kind of comes and we get caught up, and then everybody sees our clothes laying around and our car just drives off and hits a telephone pole, and, you know, and then they go, “What’s going on? What’s going on?” But the scripture says every eye shall what? See him. So number one, he’s coming after tribulation. Number two, all these stars, all these moon and sun being darkened, the powers of heaven shall be what? Shaken. The powers, the supernatural rulers in heaven, shall be shaken. Are you hearing me? So what’s this moon and stuff got to do with it? It’s got to do with the powers. Remember, we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places, heavenly places. See, there’s a war going on in the spirit realm, and he’s illustrating to us with natural things what’s happening in spiritual things. Now that was good, church.

Matthew 24:29 (NKJV)
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
— Matthew 24:29 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:27Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
— Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:09 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Revelation 1:7 (NKJV)
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
— Revelation 1:7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:33 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the sign of Christ’s coming? (Matthew 24:30-31)
Short answer: He says “wars and rumors of wars” and “earthquakes and famines and plagues are not the sign of his coming,” but “his sign of his coming is him coming.” He quotes that they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds and the angels will gather his elect.
▶ 21:39 “And then they shall see the sign of the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. All the earth shall mourn. Angels will gather together his elect from one end of heaven to the other.” So see, wars and rumors of wars aren’t the sign of his coming; earthquakes and famines and plagues are not the sign of his coming. His sign of his coming is him coming. Are you there? See, it’s just like Pentecostals and charismatics, of which I got saved in, said that tongues were evidence, a sign, of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The Bible never says that. We just made a statement because that’s how we got the ghost, and so we just made a new law; we wrote our own law that you had to speak in tongues to be filled with the Holy Ghost, and the Bible doesn’t say that at all. Are you there?

Matthew 24:30-31 (NKJV)
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
— Matthew 24:30-31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:39Matthew 24:6 (NKJV)
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
— Matthew 24:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:51 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Does the Bible say speaking in tongues is the sign of the baptism of the Holy Ghost?
Short answer: He says the Bible “never says” tongues is the evidence, that Pentecostals “wrote our own law,” and that “there’s nothing wrong with speaking in tongues,” but condemning someone who doesn’t is “a real problem.” He says the word of wisdom is first among the nine gifts and tongues is “way down at the bottom.”
▶ 22:41 And Pentecostals and charismatics just believe that without going and searching the Scriptures. Now, there’s nothing wrong with speaking in tongues; the Bible says, “Forbid not to speak in tongues.” But when you condemn somebody because they don’t speak in tongues, that’s a real problem, because if God doesn’t give them tongues, they’re never going to get it. But there’s a lot of other things that are expressions of the Holy Ghost, isn’t there? And what’s the top one? Wisdom. The nine gifts of the Spirit: what’s the first one? The word of wisdom. Where’s tongues? Way down at the bottom. Are you there? And he said, “Do all speak with tongues?” No. “Do all prophesy?” No. We just got to let God be God in us. Could that be an amen? Hallelujah. We don’t need to fight and quarrel with one another because one of us don’t have something another does. We just need to flow together to the goodness of the Lord and let God be God in us.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 14:39 (NKJV)
Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.
— 1 Corinthians 14:39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:49 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NKJV)
for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
— 1 Corinthians 12:29-30 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:31 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does Luke 21:25 say about signs in the sun, moon, stars and the sea?
Short answer: He reads Luke 21:25 about signs in the sun, moon and stars and the sea and waves roaring, and says that is “a lot more clear” than the sea turning to blood. He says people will have hearts “failing them for fear” and “they’re still going to not repent, and they’re going to blaspheme God.”
▶ 23:52 Anyway, let’s continue. Luke 21:25: “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars, and on earth distress of nations and perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.” Now, that sounds a lot more clear to me than the blood, that sea turning to blood. I can understand how people can die when the sea starts roaring: tsunamis and all that, that creates problems for us humans, doesn’t it? And, yes, our blood is shed. “Men’s hearts failing them for fear and expectation of those things which are coming on the earth.” I mean, these people are going to be shaken in their shoes and their knees are going to be knocking, and they’re still going to not repent, and they’re going to blaspheme God. This is what Revelation is trying to illustrate for the powers of heaven. What? The powers of heaven will be shaken; they will be destroyed.
Scripture in this part
Luke 21:25-26 (NKJV)
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
— Luke 21:25-26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:54Does the Bible say the beast or the son of perdition is the antichrist?
Short answer: He says the beast, Satan and the false prophet are “powers in heavenly places, spiritual wickedness in spiritual places,” and that “the Bible never says” the son of perdition or the beast is the antichrist. He says the theorists “can never find a verse that says that those three people are the same.”
▶ 25:01 So the beast, Satan and the false prophet are what? Powers in heavenly places, spiritual wickedness in spiritual places. Amen. And we try to reduce it down to some antichrist. The Bible never says that the son of perdition is the antichrist, or that the beast is the antichrist. The theorists say that; they can never find a verse that says that those three people are the same, and I can show you verses where they’re not. The powers of heaven; don’t forget that. Then they will see Jesus, what? Coming in the clouds with power.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 (NKJV)
Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

Short answers drawn only from what he says in this message, each with the moment in the video.
What does he conclude since the plagues have not literally happened?
He says it “leaves one conclusion”: something “very influential” will happen in the last days “to separate the good from the bad and give people a chance to accept Christ.”
Scripture (NKJV)Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.
— Revelation 15:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:19
Why does he connect the rivers turning to blood with the martyrs?
He recalls from the seals that “there had to be a number of martyrs,” killed because they loved Jesus, and says that in these plagues those who murdered God’s people are given “the blood to drink,” because “they shed your people’s blood.”
Scripture (NKJV)Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters saying: “You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due.”
— Revelation 16:4-6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:22
What does he say we are judged by?
He says “it’s our deeds that we’re going to be judged by, not what church you go to, not your baptismal certificate.”
Does he say demons come out of people as animals?
No. About reports of demons leaving as a spider, he says “that is not Bible,” because “demons are spirit; they don’t come out as anything. They come out the way they went in: a spirit.” He says such extreme ideas happen “because we don’t know our Bible.”
Why does he say the frogs are illustration?
He asks whether Satan needs something coming out of his mouth “to influence the earth with demonic power” and answers “no, because he already has an army of demon men doing that,” so “he’s illustrating.”
Why does he say Jesus comes “as a thief”?
He says “the thief doesn’t announce himself,” and “nobody knows when he’s coming,” and he adds that “we just know he’s coming, and that’s good enough for me.”
Scripture (NKJV)“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
— Revelation 16:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:54
What does he say the garment of the saints is?
He says “righteousness is our garment and unrighteousness is our shame, and that’s all through the Bible.”
Scripture (NKJV)“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
— Revelation 16:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:45
Where does he say the Euphrates begins?
He says that following the Euphrates north it “goes into where the Garden of Eden used to be,” and that it “found its head in the Garden of Eden, along with four other rivers.”
Scripture (NKJV)Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads.
— Genesis 2:10-14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:21
What problem does he raise about the islands and mountains disappearing?
He says they were already gone at the sixth seal, so “when did they reappear?” and concludes the passages “cannot be literally and in chronological order.”
Scripture (NKJV)I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
— Revelation 6:12-14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:50
What does he say he told his church about Jesus’ return when he was in his twenties?
He says he told them he “would not see the return of Jesus Christ,” because he had “read enough of the book to know there’s some things has to be done” first, and that “God’s got this stuff on his calendar anyway.”
Does he say Christians should fight over end-time beliefs?
No. He says people “get all hyped up” from books and “we don’t go check the book,” and that Christians “literally fight over their belief in the end times” even though Jesus said nobody knows the day or hour.
Scripture (NKJV)“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
— Matthew 24:36 (NKJV) (quoted; reference not named in the message)▶ Hear it at 17:46
What does he say is the sign of Christ’s coming?
He says “his sign of his coming is him coming,” not wars, earthquakes, famines or plagues.
Scripture (NKJV)Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
— Matthew 24:30-31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:39
What does he say we should do instead of quarreling over spiritual gifts?
He says “we just got to let God be God in us” and that “we don’t need to fight and quarrel with one another because one of us don’t have something another does.” We should “flow together to the goodness of the Lord.”
What does he say the powers of heaven are?
He says the powers of heaven shaken are the beast, Satan and the false prophet, “powers in heavenly places, spiritual wickedness in spiritual places,” and that “they will be destroyed.”
Scripture (NKJV)For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
— Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:09
About this transcript
This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor note: the captions garble a TV minister’s first name and a place name (shown as [unclear] and not guessed); one word where he refers to a group of end-time teachers is also [unclear]. He mentions a real TV preacher, a prediction about 2012, and his views on evolution, Pentecostal and charismatic teaching on tongues, and the rapture, which are his own opinions. “[Unclear]” marks three short spots.
