Saved From Our Enemies: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In this message, Pastor David G. Kincer teaches the fifth promise, that believers will be saved from their enemies (Luke 1:70–75). He covers positional versus conditional righteousness, the story of Terah and Abraham stopping halfway and the call to go on, God’s promise to bless all families, turning people from sin, and Esther and David.
What does he mean that God is who the Bible says he is? (Philippians 4:13, Romans 8:37)
Short answer: He says “God is who the Bible says he is, not who you say he is,” and “I don’t care about your opinion.” He says believers “need to get out of your faith level and into the Bible level,” and that “I’m who the Bible says I am, not what some mega church minister says I am.” He cites “I can do all things through Christ” and “more than conquerors.”
▶ 0:01 The Bible is God’s word. How many raise your hand and say, “Yes, that’s God’s word”? How many will raise your hand and say God cannot lie? Okay. If that is true and you really believe that, then God is who the Bible says he is, not who you say he is. God is who the Bible says he is, can I get an amen? I don’t care about your opinion, all right? God will do what the Bible says he will do, is that an amen? I don’t care where your faith level is, I don’t care what your opinion is, if the Bible is true and the Bible is God’s word, God is who he says he is, and God will do what he said he would do. And he said he would bring us into the divine nature, and we would escape the corruption that is in the world through love.
▶ 1:04 Amen. When you need to get out of your faith level and into the Bible level, we are who the Bible says we are. I am a child of the living God. You see, I can do all things through Christ who enables me. Are you there? Amen. I’m who the Bible says I am, not what some mega church minister says I am. I don’t need motivational speaking every Sunday, I need Jesus and I need the living word every Sunday. See, I am who God says I am, and the Bible says we are more than conquerors, and more than a conqueror comes through the battle without even a wound. Hallelujah. And we can do and be what the Bible says we can do and be. I can praise my God and he will inhabit my praises, I can seek the face of my God and he will come and find me, I can read the Bible and he will open that Bible up to me. I can be and do what God says I can be and do, and that ends it.

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
— Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:20Romans 8:37 (NKJV)
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
— Romans 8:37 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:46Psalm 22:3 (NKJV)
But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.
— Psalm 22:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:11 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the fifth promise, and who are the enemies? (Luke 1:70–75)
Short answer: He says “fifth promise: we will be saved from our enemies,” and that the enemies “are the children of the wicked one… people who oppose and hate the Bible, they hate Jesus.” He says the victory comes “now, in this life, and all the days of my life,” and “I don’t need to get raptured out to get out of this mess.” He distinguishes these enemies from Satan and sin, covered in earlier promises.
▶ 2:31 Now, you ready for this message? Hallelujah. I don’t like it when people come to church to socialize and go through the motions. Church is not a place to socialize and go through the motions, it’s a place to release the rivers of God, where people can get healing on their inner man, physical healing, grow in God. The church is a place where Jesus is to be exalted, Jesus is to move, Jesus is to do things. Can I hear an amen? So, fifth promise: we will be saved from our enemies. Luke 1, verse 70-75: God spoke to his prophets which have been since the world began.
▶ 3:28 So Adam and Eve, Adam was a prophet, Eve was a prophetess, since the world began God’s been speaking through his prophets. Are you there? And he doesn’t lie, and what these prophets said is God’s word, that ends it. So what did he say since the world began? God said that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all that hate us. Now, we’re living in a generation in America where we got a lot of enemies and a lot of people that hate the real church, the real Christian, and God said we would be saved from all our enemies. The prophet said that God would perform the mercy promised here. Here’s the promise, okay: “to our fathers and remember his holy covenant.”
▶ 4:29 So God promised he would save us from all our enemies and all that hate us, he promised he would remember his holy covenant, the oath which he swore to our father Abraham. Verse 74: “that he would grant unto us that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear.” Now, we know Satan is our enemy, but we dealt with that in the first promise. We know that sin is our enemy, we dealt with that in the second promise. So who are these enemies here? These enemies here are the children of the wicked one, as it says in the parable in Matthew, the enemy that sowed them is the Devil, the tares, the children of the wicked one.
▶ 5:41 They are people who oppose and hate the Bible, they hate Jesus, and they hate anybody and oppose anybody that wants to follow them. So these enemies he’s talking about is the children of the wicked one, that we can serve him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life. So when is this victory over our enemy supposed to happen? In this life, not in the rapture. I don’t need to get raptured out to get out of this mess and all that. I have a God that promised me that I would have victory over my enemies and over those that hate me now, in this life, and all the days of my life, not just a little season in my life but all the days of my life. I have victory over my enemies and those that hate me. Are you there?
Scripture in this part
Luke 1:70-75 (NKJV)
As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, Who have been since the world began, That we should be saved from our enemies And from the hand of all who hate us, To perform the mercy promised to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant, The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.
— Luke 1:70-75 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:21Luke 1:74 (NKJV)
To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear,
— Luke 1:74 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:56Matthew 13:38-39 (NKJV)
The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
— Matthew 13:38-39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:37 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say about positional and conditional righteousness? (Luke 1:75)
Short answer: He says most Christians in America “are only righteous positionally by the blood,” and “God wants it to be a condition, not just a position.” He says “the position is important while you’re growing,” but “the condition is the goal,” and that without it “they live weak Christian lives.”
▶ 6:43 And God can’t lie, and he is who he said he was, and we can be who he said we could be, all right. A lot of Christians have embraced this, and a lot of them haven’t. And let me give you a little word of wisdom: most Christians in America, because of ministers, are only righteous positionally by the blood. You see, he says “holiness and righteousness all the days of my life.”
▶ 7:26 They never get to where that righteousness and holiness is a condition in their life, and God wants it to be a condition, not just a position, and so they live loosely and they live weak Christian lives, because, “Well, I’m saved by the blood, I’m, you know, hallelujah, everything’s by the blood,” I don’t embrace anything, I don’t change my speech, I don’t change my attitude, I’m just saved by the blood. I submit to you this morning, victory over your enemy is getting righteousness conditionally, you possess it in your life, and he said you could do that, and what God says is true. Amen. The position is important while you’re growing, that you don’t get cast down and excommunicate yourself, but the condition is the goal. That’s what’s going to help you in life, that’s what’s going to help your family, that’s what’s going to help your community, that’s what’s going to help the church and your nation, is you getting to a condition of righteousness.
Scripture in this part
Luke 1:75 (NKJV)
In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.
— Luke 1:75 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:43What does he say about a secular society, taxes and the church’s role in government?
Short answer: He quotes what he says opponents tell Christians: “You Christians just stay in your little churches,” and says “the church is scared to death of being taxed” but “I’ll pick the truth any day.” He says “Bible government is not only good for the church, it’s good for the nation,” and that “government is the number three topic” in the Bible after Jesus and sin. These are his views and figures.
▶ 8:44 Our enemies are saying today, “You Christians just stay in your little churches. No public or governmental or educational expression, and we’ll let you live in our secular society.” You see, it’s okay to be secular; secular means non-spiritual. And Christians have accepted that. Many Christians in America have accepted that. “Well, government’s secular, our nation is secular, and so Christians don’t have a right to express Bible moral standards, and if you do, I’m going to tax you to oblivion or incarcerate you till you’re eliminated.” And right now the church is scared to death of being taxed. Well, listen, when it comes to taxes and the truth, I’ll pick the truth any day. As for me, as for me in my house, I’m going to serve truth.
▶ 9:47 I don’t need their tax exemption, and I don’t need their permission to gather together, and I don’t need their description of what a church is. I got a Bible that tells me what a church is, ain’t that right? And so a lot of Christians have cowardly cowered down. I was talking to a man this week, witnessing, and he found out, he’s a good Christian man, and he was witnessing to me, active in his church and everything else, and they were wanting to make him pastor, and he was pondering whether he wanted to be a pastor or not, and then he, all this good stuff, and then he says that Christians shouldn’t be involved in politics and the church shouldn’t have anything political. Listen, our government is not only good, Bible government is not only good for the church, it’s good for the nation, it’s good for the families.
▶ 10:49 Amen. Well, who is these people that say, and I told this guy, I said, “Listen, do you realize that after Jesus and sin, government is the most talked about subject in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation? Government is the number three topic. Did you know that?” Church, and how are we going to rule over our enemies if we’re not in places of authority? And this is one of my complaints back there when they were setting people in through the [unclear] and all that. I never heard anyone set in to be a civil leader, and I had read my Bible and I knew it was a God-given position. I never heard of anyone being set into the military, and I’d read in my Bible that they were mighty men, they were good at military. Are you there?
Scripture in this part
Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)
And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
— Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:42 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Is anything too hard for the Lord? (Genesis 17:1, 18:14, 11:27)
Short answer: He says “the Holy Ghost has unlimited knowledge,” so prophecy should not be limited to men’s knowledge, and asks whether bringing you into the divine nature is “too hard for the Lord.” He rejects the idea that Jesus’s death gives only “a positional righteousness,” saying “the best he can do is give you the promises that he promised you.” He says people “defend our church’s doctrine and our opinions above God.”
▶ 11:46 They didn’t go into the military just to draw some money, these guys were fighters, they won battles, they had a gift. Are you there? I said, it’s strange to me that prophecy is limited to your knowledge. I said, the Holy Ghost has unlimited knowledge, what? There’s something wrong here. And that was a good argument. And I never seen anyone being placed in as a singer in the house of the Lord until the church caught on and taught it, and I go, how can that be? We had to wait a hundred years. How come we, you know, these supposedly Holy Ghost inspired prophecies are limited to men’s knowledge? Something is [unclear] here, just throwing that out. Now, let’s take a look at Abraham’s oath and covenant and promise. Okay, God told Abraham, “I am God Almighty,” is anything too hard for the Lord? Is bringing you into his divine nature and delivering you from the corruption and sin that’s in the world, is that too hard for the Lord? Jesus’s death could only give you a positional righteousness, he couldn’t really deliver you from alcoholism, sexual immorality, that’s all he could do, that’s the best he could do. He died, laid down his life, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and the best he can do is just cover you in your sin and not deliver you from sin? There’s something wrong with that mentality, isn’t it? It’s not the best he can do.
▶ 14:05 The best he can do is give you the promises that he promised you, and he wants you to be a light to this world. Okay, is anything too hard for the Lord? Church, can he change you? Yes. Why haven’t you been changed? Is it his fault? Yeah, it’s your fault. We are so stubborn, we are so hardheaded that we will defend our church’s doctrine and our opinions above God. Abraham’s promise: this took place about 400 years after the flood, about 1900 years before Jesus came, all right. God comes to Abraham in Genesis 11:27. We’re going to look at the story here. Terah is an offspring of Shem, all right, Shem, Ham, and Japheth were sons of Noah that came through the ark, and Terah is an offspring of Shem, not Ham, Shem. Okay, he begat four kids, three sons and one daughter: Abraham, Nahor, Sarah, and Haran. Haran had two children, a boy and a girl: Lot and Milcah. Abraham married Sarah, his half sister, so Abraham married in the family. Okay, people are always asking, well, where did Cain and Abel get their wives from?
Scripture in this part
Genesis 17:1 (NKJV)
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.
— Genesis 17:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:12 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Genesis 18:14 (NKJV)
Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
— Genesis 18:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:15 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Genesis 11:27 (NKJV)
This is the genealogy of Terah: Terah begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran begot Lot.
— Genesis 11:27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:08What does he say about tragedy in Terah’s family and in ours?
Short answer: He says “bad things have always been happening to good people,” and “going through problems isn’t a sign you’re lacking faith.” He cites “you’re going to have tribulations, you’re going to have troubles,” and mentions the early death of Haran and the pain of divorce in American families.
▶ 16:07 The family, any bird brain knows that, that’s all that was there. You know, the atheist wants to say, “See, this Bible,” no, no, no, no, no. [unclear] married their sisters, all right, Nahor married Milcah, so Nahor and Milcah were married, and that was Haran’s daughter. Now tragedy strikes. How many of you have read the book, uh, you know, “Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People”? Bad things have always been happening to good people. I mean, where is, you know, these motivational speakers, they talk to you in these faith camps, talk to you like you’re never going to go through any problems, and you read your Bible and you’re going to find out you’re going to go through a lot of problems. “In the world you will have,” are you in the world? Yeah, you’re not in heaven yet. You’re going to have tribulations, you’re going to have troubles.
▶ 17:15 Get up, you know, get off of it, buck up. Amen. Going through problems isn’t a sign you’re lacking faith and you’re not a good Christian or whatever. Tragedy comes. Tragedy strikes: Haran died, he didn’t live long, that’s a tragedy. We have kids that die, we have parents that die early, things happen, tragedy comes. We have parents at divorce in America, man, it’s horrible, it’s almost worse than a parent dying. This divorce stuff is just tough on American families and American youth. So here’s, up here is where the ark landed.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 11:28 (NKJV)
And Haran died before his father Terah in his native land, in Ur of the Chaldeans.
— Genesis 11:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:39 (quoted; reference not named in the message)John 16:33 (NKJV)
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
— John 16:33 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:06 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say about the city and tower of Babel? (Genesis 11:1–9)
Short answer: He says “no one ever talks about the city, they always talk about the tower,” and that “because they’re one, nothing is impossible for them.” He says God scattered the people, “that’s where your races came from,” and he challenges evolution “from logic.” His claims about the origin of peoples and about science are his own and are not verified here.
▶ 18:07 Okay, they migrated down here and decided to build a tower. And this is what they said: “Let us build a city.” No one ever talks about the city, they always talk about the tower. But they said, “Let us build a city, then let us build a tower that reaches to the heavenlies,” a platform. And then they said, “Let us build us a name.” Oh, their name was supposed to be above all names, not God. And then they said, “We want to do this so we’re not scattered throughout the earth.” And what did God want from the day Adam and Eve were born? Scattered. Yeah, multiply, replenish, fill the earth. They didn’t want to scatter, they wanted to stay united.
▶ 19:10 And I know in Sunday school all you ever hear about is the tower, but there was a city. They wanted to dwell there, they wanted to stay right there. They devised a plan of government to unite and do things, and God says, because they’re one, nothing is impossible for them. He came down and confounded the language, and, young people, that’s where your races came from. He scattered them throughout the earth, he put them on the islands, he put them out throughout the earth, and that’s where the Mexicans came from, and the Polynesians, and the Europeans, and the Chinese, and the Koreans, and Japanese, and everybody. They came because God came and not only confounded the language, he changed their physical appearance and put them everywhere. And if you don’t believe me, you look at Easter Island. It is in the middle of an ocean, a little dot, there is no way anyone from South America could have migrated to Easter Island in a little boat that they had in those days. Are you there?
▶ 20:20 And yet when our explorers hit Easter Island, it was well populated. But see, science has to come up with fantasies. Hallelujah. Now, remember, I went to [unclear] high school, the number one high school in USA at that time, and they taught me how to think, and that was their weakness. Now, I can think, and when they come up with these outlandish ideas, I would challenge them. I was the first free thinker at [unclear] high school. Hallelujah. I challenge the evolution and all this nonsense that they come up with, just from logic. Amen.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 11:3-9 (NKJV)
Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth; and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
— Genesis 11:3-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:18Genesis 1:28 (NKJV)
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
— Genesis 1:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:03 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Why does he say Terah’s stopping halfway matters? (Joshua 24:2–3)
Short answer: He says “Terah dwelt on the other side of the river in old times and served other gods.” He says “a transition begins but stops before reaching the goal,” and that the goal is Canaan, and for us “our goal is Jesus.” He also says Canaan descends from Ham and makes a remark about Syria and the Jews, which are his own statements.
▶ 21:16 So they’re down here and they built the tower and God scattered them all over, and the descendants of Shem stayed in that area in a place called Ur. All right, now the next tragedy is Sarah was barren, she wasn’t having any kids. That’s tragic to a woman, that’s tragic to a family who really wants a real family and raise kids and all that, not these weirdo families, but a real, normal, everyday human family. And so here, you know, there’s women today, good Christian women, that are barren. Tragedy comes, you know, we got to live with the tragedy. Hallelujah. We got to adjust. The worst one, in Joshua 24:2-3: Terah dwelt on the other side of the river in old times and served other gods. Wow, that’s a real tragedy. Now, remember, Noah didn’t die till after Terah was born.
▶ 22:26 Noah was around, Shem, Ham, and Japheth were around. See, the source of the river was still around when Abraham came along. Terah came along and had Abraham, and yet they had already turned to other gods. That is a real tragedy. So a transition begins but stops before reaching the goal, reaching the destination. A transition begins. Terah took them all from Ur to go into the land of Canaan.
▶ 23:15 Okay, Canaan is the descendant of Ham, who Noah cursed for looking at him naked and said he would be the servant of his brethren. Okay, but they came to Haran and dwelt there. Now, where’s the goal? Canaan. What’s our goal? Jesus said, “Come unto me, all you that,” our goal is Jesus. “Come unto me,” and that’s all preachers can do is teach you to come to the one who can do something for you. Okay, but where did they stop?
▶ 24:10 In Haran, which is Syria, and the Bible says that the Jews were descendants of Syria. Hallelujah, just throwing that out for you, you Bible scholars. So they stopped before they reached the destination. Now, why did God want them to go to Canaan land? You got to know your Bible. Canaan land, Mount Zion in Canaan land, Jerusalem, the city in Canaan land, is where God wanted to build his temple and his kingdom. Where does God want to build his temple today? In us. You are the temple of God, the Spirit of God dwells in you, he wants to build you into a spiritual house.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 11:30 (NKJV)
But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
— Genesis 11:30 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:33 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Joshua 24:2-3 (NKJV)
And Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘Your fathers, including Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, dwelt on the other side of the River in old times; and they served other gods. Then I took your father Abraham from the other side of the River, led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendants and gave him Isaac.
— Joshua 24:2-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:08Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
— Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:48 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he mean by building God’s temple and kingdom in us?
Short answer: He says “you are the temple of God, the Spirit of God dwells in you” and “the kingdom’s within us,” with “joy, peace, and righteousness, and power, and the Holy Ghost.” He says “we get the message to come out of sin, but we don’t respond to the message to go in,” and “you got to rise above a halfway journey.”
▶ 25:11 But we stop. Where is his kingdom? Within us: joy, peace, and righteousness, and power, and the Holy Ghost, the kingdom’s within us, and we stop. We get saved and we stop there. We get the message to come out of sin, but we don’t respond to the message to go in. Man, that was good. So many Christians, they come out of sin but they don’t go in and get that temple, that spiritual house, built in them, and that kingdom built in them, and all they do is brag about responding to the message to come out of sin. Isn’t that a good illustration? God knows what he’s doing, yeah, he does. It’s so easy for us to brag about our salvation and being saved from sin and not enter in. So the goal is he wants to build his temple, he wants to make you a temple of God, and he wants to put his kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy, and power, and the Holy Ghost in you, all right.
▶ 26:29 Now again, let’s look at it here. They are in Ur. Terah gets the family and takes them up to Haran, and then he stops there, and the whole family stops because Daddy stopped. Well, Daddy was serving other gods. Are you there? You got to rise above your family, and if your family stops, you got to keep going. Can I hear an amen? You got to rise above a halfway journey, you got to go all the way in. Here’s Canaan land.
▶ 27:15 Ham’s people were scattered by God over here, and now Shem’s people are coming in to evangelize Ham. Now I know you guys know all this stuff and it’s a waste of my time, but, uh, I’m just trying to help you and encourage you here. Now God challenges Abraham. God comes to Abraham and gives him a challenge, just like Jesus has given us a challenge. Genesis 12:1: God said, “Abraham, get out of your country, your kindred, and your father’s house.” Get out. And what is our problem? We don’t want to leave our culture, we don’t want to leave our family. I mean, some families, don’t dare, you don’t dare leave.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 3:16 (NKJV)
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
— 1 Corinthians 3:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:11 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Luke 17:21 (NKJV)
nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
— Luke 17:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:21 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Romans 14:17 (NKJV)
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
— Romans 14:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:18 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What challenge does God give Abraham, and us? (Genesis 12:1)
Short answer: He reads Genesis 12:1, “get out of your country, your kindred, and your father’s house,” and says “we don’t want to leave our culture, we don’t want to leave our family.” He says God challenges the church “to come into the fullness of our inheritance, the fullness of Christ, not part but the fullness,” and “we, the church in America, needs to move on.”
▶ 28:16 You’re 30 years old and you know you you, how, me, you know, there’s a time for a man to leave his mom and dad and get married and build their own home. Yes, hallelujah. Why “father’s house”? Because father was worshiping other gods, and God and father had stopped in between. And so God comes to Abraham and said, “Abraham, you got to go on, you got to complete the journey, you got to reach the goal.” If Daddy didn’t go, you got to go. If your brothers didn’t go, you got to go, you got to finish this goal. So God challenged Abraham, just like he challenges you in any church in America. God comes with this challenge to come into the fullness of our inheritance, the fullness of Christ, not part but the fullness.
▶ 29:14 Okay, “and you’re going to go into the land that I will show you,” all right. So Abraham’s got to do something, he’s got to move. So Abraham, after his daddy dies, comes down into Canaan land and starts evangelizing. Canaan land was full of idolatry, worshiping other gods. Folks, 400 years between Noah and they’re already back to idols.
▶ 30:01 Already, after the flood, after, remarkable that the ark’s still there, they can still take a historical journey up to see the ark, hadn’t decayed and rotted away, yet Noah’s still there, and yet they went their own way. Does that sound like that could be a lot of Christians in America? Absolutely. So God’s promise to Abraham: he challenges Abraham and he says, “Abraham, I’m going to promise you some stuff if you complete the journey, if you move on.” How many know we need to move on? How many believe we, the church in America, needs to move on? Yes, yes. If these ministers want to stop halfway, then let them, let them stay back there and die, let’s move on. Live.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 12:1 (NKJV)
Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.
— Genesis 12:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:16What does God’s promise to Abraham mean for blessing, enemies and families? (Genesis 12:2–3)
Short answer: He says “we need God making our name great,” and that God says “I am going to make you a blessing.” On “I will bless them that bless you and curse them that curse you,” he says “God will deal with them,” citing vengeance belongs to the Lord. He says “in the Bible a family is a man and a woman with kids that they brought into this world or they adopted,” asks whether “this pro-choice movement” is a blessing, and says “you’re not a blessing to anybody when you’re silent.”
▶ 31:06 Could that be an amen? Genesis 12:2: “I will make you a great nation.” Wow, great nation, not a bum, not inferior, but a superior nation. “I will bless you, I will do good to you, and I will make your name great.” What did they want at the Tower of Babel? A great name. But they were going to make their name great. How many of you know ministers can do that? They can make their name great, people in their group can make their name great. We need God making our name great. Now, folks, that was good. When God makes us great, it’s a right greatness, and who gets credit for it then? He does, of course. He says, “and you shall be a blessing.” I’m just not going to make you a great nation and bless you so you can come into the church and feel the presence and wiggle and squiggle, and “I am going to make you a blessing.”
▶ 32:25 I am going to make you a blessing, you’re going to do good to other people, you’re going to cause them to want the God that you serve. “I will bless them that bless you and curse them that curse you.” Wow, that’s why the Bible says vengeance is the Lord’s, don’t take vengeance, got to take care of these things, and we’re supposed to love our enemies, and we’re supposed to do good to them that hate us, and so forth. Why? Because God will deal with them. We don’t have to physically or anything hurt people or verbally hurt, God will deal with them. He’ll do bad things to them. In fact, if you know your Bible, their own choice of lifestyle will bring bad things to them, all right. “In you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” That is a bell-ringing statement. How many families? Oh, now what is a family? A man and a man and a woman and a woman with adopted kids?
▶ 33:35 And not in the Bible. In the Bible a family is a man and a woman with kids that they brought into this world or they adopted because somebody had a tragedy in their life and they bring them in, they raise them. He says, “I’m going to make you a blessing to all the families of the earth.” Now let me ask you this: is this pro-choice movement a blessing to the families of the earth? No. Does God want that enemy and that hatred dealt with? Yes, he does. And who is supposed to be a blessing to these families? We are.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 12:2-3 (NKJV)
I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
— Genesis 12:2-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:19Romans 12:19 (NKJV)
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
— Romans 12:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:44 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say the church’s goal is, according to Acts 3? (Acts 3:25–26)
Short answer: He says Christ came “to turn people from their sin, not to keep them in their sin as a position,” and “if the church is not turning people from sin, we’re not doing our job.” He applies this to homosexuality, saying “Jesus will deliver you from that sin,” and adds claims about hell and disease that are his own. He also says many Christians “can’t zip the lip” about their anger.
▶ 34:28 I mean, you’re not a blessing to anybody when you’re silent. You’re not a blessing to anybody when you embrace the error of the enemy. When you just want to get along, you’re not a blessing anymore. Does that make sense to you? Now, I’m going to show you the fulfillment of this, this is very important, and you young ones, you really need to get this into your cranial vacuum, all right? This statement is very powerful so that when you grow up in the church you know what the church is supposed to be doing, no matter what anybody says. This is the goal of the church, this is the goal of Christ, all right. “You people of Israel,” he’s talking to Israelites here, that means all 12 tribes, 13 actually, not just the Jews. Here, the “you” word is used quite a few times in the New Testament, so you need to know that, not just the Jews but all the tribes God came to, and he’s talking to all these tribes here.
▶ 35:39 “You are sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God made to Abraham: ‘In your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’” He just repeated that in the New Testament, what we just read, and “you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” Now, you young people listening, this is powerful, you need to get this in your brain, and you old folks too, get the cobwebs out. Here comes revelation, all right: “to you first.” First, so who’s coming next? The non-Israelites? Yes, the nations, the Gentiles. “You first,” God sent Jesus to bless you, and how did he bless them? “By turning away every one of you from your iniquities,” from your sin.
▶ 36:39 Christ came to turn people from their sin, not to keep them in their sin as a position because they believe in the cross, but to deliver them from sin, heal them from sin, set them free from sin. That was his goal. And if the church is not turning people from sin, we’re not doing our job. When I showed you these big ministers saying that homosexuals are going to go into heaven and people don’t need to be told about sin in church, they don’t want to hear it, they are violating the very goal that Christ came for. He didn’t come just so they believed. The faith camp has got this all wrong, they take faith and they make it something it’s not. God came to turn you from your sin. Why? Sin destroys you, sin hurts you. See, in the end, the homosexual who doesn’t turn is going to burn in hell in the lake of fire. That’s a tragedy, folks, that can be avoided, let alone they’re going to die of a horrible disease of AIDS in this present life. And so the church has the responsibility to be a blessing by telling them you can turn from sin, Jesus will deliver you from that sin, you can be healed from that sin.
▶ 38:13 That’s being a blessing. Now, sexual immorality, stealing, murder, violence, intoxication, theft, covetousness, false witness, idolatry, sorcery, anger, hatred, etc., etc., etc. You know, a lot of Christians, they don’t take drugs and they don’t commit adultery, but their anger is out of this world. They can’t zip the lip, they get mad, they let you know what for, and if you ever made a mistake in your life, they’ll bring it back up out of anger. How many of you know sin is sin, and we’ve got to be delivered from all of it. Hallelujah.
Scripture in this part
Acts 3:25-26 (NKJV)
You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”
— Acts 3:25-26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 35:39Does he say ministries to the poor are wrong?
Short answer: No. He says “all those are good,” but “when we make that the goal and we’re not turning them from their sin, we’re not a blessing to the families of the earth.” He calls what happens when people neglect others who are not in crisis “the lame duck syndrome.”
▶ 39:11 Now, church, listen to me closely: when the church replaces this message with ministries to the poverty, the poor, okay, when they replace this message with ministries to drug addiction, alcohol addiction, marijuana addiction, medical help, domestic violence ministries, juvenile ministries, homeless ministries, motivational teaching instead of turning, you know, “you’re okay, I’m okay, everybody’s okay,” motivation, feel good, and child abuse ministries, when we, and all those are good, but when we make that the goal and we’re not turning them from their sin, we’re not a blessing to the families of the earth. And when the church brags about their poor program and their drug program and this program and that program, and they’re not turning people from sin, they’re not helping and being a blessing to the families of the earth. Wow, that was good, did you get that?
▶ 40:28 And we brag about people who help the poor, and they’re not helping them turn from sin, their goal isn’t turning from sin, they just want to help them, look at me, I’m doing good. You let an addict or some other loser, I call it the lame duck syndrome, people make bad decisions and they’re crushed in their life and everybody goes to their aid, and the normal guy, like these young people here, you know, because they’re not drug addicts and all this, they just neglect them. Genesis 22:17: “I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven and the sand on the seashore, and your seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.”
What does “possess the gate of his enemies” mean, and what do Esther and David show? (Genesis 22:17, Esther 9:1, Psalm 18:17)
Short answer: He says “the gate is where the leaders held their courts,” so God’s promise means taking it “to them.” He cites Esther and Mordecai and says “we got to be like Esther,” and David’s deliverance in Psalm 18:17. He says “just because we’re a small church doesn’t mean we can’t have a message to America,” and to say “God, here I am, use me.”
▶ 41:10 The gate is where the judgment took place, the gate is where the leaders held their courts and all that was at the gate, all right, “and you will possess the gate of your enemy.” You’re not out 50 miles from the city, you’re there at the gate, you’re taking it to them. Now, I want to show you that it happened. There’s many places where this happened, I just want to show you real quick in Esther chapter 9, verse 1: the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over the Jews, but it turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them. See, did God fulfill his word? Yeah. And this woman minister was the key, Esther, she was a key to this. Mordecai, her uncle, was also a key. The Jews smote all their enemies and did what they would unto those that hated them. You see, God not only promised it but he also fulfilled the promise, and will he fulfill the promise to us?
▶ 42:31 Yes, but we’ve got to know the goal, we’ve got to get involved, we got to be like Esther, we got to get involved. Esther had to come out of her uncle’s house and go into the king’s palace, she had to do some things that she didn’t want to do. Mordecai was taken captive and drug, forced into the land of Babylon, a great man, a holy man, a righteous man, and raised Esther to be right, he had to do some things he didn’t want to do so that God’s plan could be executed. And if we get so stuck in just being an American, you know, that has two cars and a garage and everything going for us, we’ve got to come out of that box and say, “God, here I am, use me.” Could that be an amen?
▶ 43:25 See, then the Jews backed up Esther and Mordecai, a man and woman team. Psalm 18:17: “He delivered me.” This is David talking. David was chased by Saul, he was chased by the Philistines, he was chased by the people of Israel, they all wanted to kill him and they wanted to destroy him, and in Psalm 18 David said God delivered me “from my strong enemy and from them which hated me, for they were too strong for me.” How many, you know, right now in America the humanist and the homosexual activists and the atheists and all that seem to have the upper hand. You see, can we turn that around? Yeah, if we understand God’s promise. We don’t have to sit idly by. I don’t care, you know, Bible says there’s nothing for God to say by many or by few. Just because we’re a small church doesn’t mean we can’t have a message to America.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 22:17 (NKJV)
blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.
— Genesis 22:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 41:10Esther 9:1 (NKJV)
Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the king’s command and his decree to be executed. On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them.
— Esther 9:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 41:47Psalm 18:17 (NKJV)
He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, For they were too strong for me.
— Psalm 18:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 43:33How does he say the promise is carried out? (Luke 1:71, 2 Thessalonians 2)
Short answer: He says “we can start with our neighbors, we can start with our family,” and that the key is worship: “they should see us all worshiping Jesus.” He says the Bible tells us “to lift our hands, lift our voices, sing unto God.” He ends: “let’s don’t stop halfway in the journey… let God make us a spiritual temple and build his kingdom in us.”
▶ 44:29 Is that an amen? Or to our community. We don’t have to wait for America, we can start with our neighbors, we can start with our family. We can tell a man, “You are who God said you are, and you can be who God said you can be.” We can start turning this tide around. Now, going back to Luke 1:71: “We shall be saved from our enemies and all that hate us, we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life.” So how we going to do this thing? Okay, we got to accept the fact that God is who he said he was, he’ll do what he said he would do, we are who God said we are, and we can do and be what God said we could do and be.
▶ 45:22 So the key here is how we got to serve him, worship him. See, when people come into this church they should see us all worshiping Jesus. I told you over and over and over, you knew who a Muslim is by how they worship, you know who a Hindu is and a Buddha is by how they worship. You see, you know who a person is on his own throne and set himself up as God, as it says in Thessalonians. We think that’s one individual, the son of perdition, but it’s you playing God over your life.
▶ 46:16 You make your rules, and so when you are not following Bible methods of worship and prayer and all this, the people come in and they say, “You as is a different God.” Are you there? Young people, you getting this? You want people to touch God, do what God says to do, they will be directed right to him, not to you. The Bible says that we are to lift our hands, lift our voices, sing unto God, we’re to shout unto God, we’re to stand in the house of the Lord and worship him. We are, you know, to play our musical instrument. Music is a big part in this thing God is doing, and his music is important, not the secular music or not our special popular music, but his music is very important. He chose music and singing. Hallelujah.
▶ 47:14 And when people come in and they see us united worshiping God, seeking our God, they will be blessed and they will be touched and they can be healed in their inner man. Let’s all read this together: “God cannot lie. The Bible is his word. God is who the Bible says he is. He’ll do what the Bible says he will do. We are who the Bible says we are. We can do and be what the Bible says we can do and be.” Can I hear an amen? Let’s don’t stop halfway in the journey, let’s don’t stop at the message of salvation, let’s go in and let God make us a spiritual temple and build his kingdom in us. Hallelujah.

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

No. He says “going through problems isn’t a sign you’re lacking faith and you’re not a good Christian.”
Why does he say God scattered the people at Babel?
He says “because they’re one, nothing is impossible for them,” so God came down, “confounded the language,” and scattered them across the earth.
Scripture (NKJV)Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar.
