Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.

From the sermonSatan’s Secret Weapon That Destroys Those Who Hear, Believe, and Accept The Gospel 07/08/2018 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer looks at the rocky ground in the parable of the sower: people who receive the word with joy but fall away. Tests and mistreatment are common and bearable, as his Detroit youth showed. The real cause is having no root (Jesus), no depth (a plowed heart) and no water (the word), so believers must avoid man-made doctrines and stay rooted in Christ.

What did the last lesson teach?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: The first weapon snatches the word from those who don’t understand. The whole Bible is summed up in loving God and loving your neighbor as yourself.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:00 Okay last week we learned that the first secret weapon of Satan was to snatch the word out of hearers’ hearts because if they do not understand it they won’t be saved all right we found that understand then the Bible is summed up in two laws and these two laws sum up all the law and the prophets these two laws are love God with all your heart your mind your abilities or strength and by obeying his word the heart and the soul is your spiritual part the soul is the spirit that lives eternally in your body the heart speaks of the mind the will the emotions and the moral standards of that spiritual man are you there but we’re also made of a physical body the mind and abilities is your intellect you got to engage your physical intellect to connect with the spirit mind are you with me and your abilities or the abilities that you have you’re capable of doing many things you were capable of going to school and learning the abcs you were learning you learned how to read you learned how to write if you can do that in the physical and the spiritual you can learn the word of God.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 22:37-40 (NKJV)

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

— Matthew 22:37-40 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:18 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Do we have the ability to learn the Bible?

▶ Watch this part (1:31)

Short answer: Yes. The ability you use to prepare for the day and provide for your home is the same ability you can use spiritually.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:31 Don’t tell me you don’t have the abilities this scripture says you do are you there you just got to bring them over to the spirit world could that be an amen if you have the ability to get up in the morning and prepare yourself for the day then you have the ability the capability to get up in the morning and praying and reading the word and preparing yourself spiritually for the day could that be an amen see it’s all right here in the first commandment see if you have the ability to know as a man you got to provide for your home and as a woman you got to take care of that home then you have that same ability in the spirit too to get involved in the church and build the kingdom of God and help others know Christ are you there.

▶ 2:21 It’s the same ability in the natural is the same ability that you exercise for the spiritual could that be a big amen so don’t tell me you don’t know things [unclear] and don’t have the ability for this and that and don’t tell me anymore you don’t know the scriptures because the scriptures are summed up in loving God by obeying his word and loving your neighbor as yourself by doing no harm to yourself and others that’s what the whole book is about is that an amen so don’t tell me anymore I don’t understand I don’t understand yes you do when you speak does it harm when you act does it harm if it is you’re violating the Bible from Genesis to Revelation the whole thing is to reveal to you how to do good. Amen. Now people might want to get you sidetracked and you might want to get sidetracked but this sums up the whole Bible.

What are we saved from?

▶ Watch this part (3:18)

Short answer: Sin, the lake of fire and the day of wrath—no rapture needed for that—and saved to do good and possess eternal life.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:18 All right we also found that belief in faith are not the goal they are the process to the goal the goal is to get saved from your sin through the blood of Jesus Christ only. To be saved from the lake of fire the eternal punishment for those who reject Christ and live immoral is that an amen now I’m just giving you the scriptures you either agree with them or you can debate them all you want but you can debate till doomsday when you get before Christ in heaven he ain’t gonna debate you. There’s no debate up there and you’re saved from the day of wrath and you’re saved from the wrath and in this life if you violate God he’s gonna bring things in your life to try to straighten you out and there is a day of wrath coming a season of wrath coming at the end time where he’s going to pour out his wrath on the whole world and you will be saved from that we don’t have to be raptured to be saved from the day of wrath do you understand that yeah.

What is the second secret weapon?

▶ Watch this part (4:27)

Short answer: In the parable of the sower, seed on rock: they hear, believe and receive the word with joy for a while, then stumble when tests and mistreatment come.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:27 And we are saved to do good and to possess eternal life that is the goal and you remember understanding the word is a requirement in this parable all right so we got to have understood Satan’s secret weapon number two is a weapon that destroys those that here believe and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ they hear it they believe it see but belief is not the goal hearing is not the goal. accepting it isn’t the goal and they do this for a short time all right. parable of the sower last week it was the seed that we are the earth and the seed is sown in our hearts our mind both the spiritual mind and the physical mind it’s sown.

▶ 5:31 Last week it was the seed on the pathway the ground is hard the birds came and took the seed this seed is on rocks they didn’t plough the field they didn’t get rid of the rocks and the seed fell on a rock all right they hear the word of the kingdom as we just saw they believe and receive the word as we just saw. With joy I mean something happened and not religion something transpired in them they received it with joy for a what while a short period of time. When tests and abuse come for the word they stumble and fall away.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 13:20-21 (NKJV)

But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

— Matthew 13:20-21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:02 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Are tests the reason people fall away?

▶ Watch this part (6:27)

Short answer: No. Satan tested Jesus (Matthew 4), but 1 Corinthians 10:13 says no test is beyond what you can bear, and God makes a way of escape.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:27 when the tests come and the mistreatment people mistreat you because you’re Christian [unclear] they fall away. Now is this really the reason they fall away is because of the test and the abuse I’m going to submit to you today it’s not the test and the mistreatment that causes people to fall away there’s something else in this parable that causes people to fall away are you with me just follow me here okay Satan is the tempter he is the tester according to the scriptures Jesus was tempted of the Devil the tempter came to Jesus in Matthew 4 verse 1 through 3 and tempted him in three different areas tested him in three different areas Satan has a right to come and test you.

▶ 7:23 Okay. but there’s no testing no temptation but is common to man what’s the word common everybody experiences these things. Spiritual or not spiritual God is faithful. Faithful to what he will not permit you to be tempted above what you are able so if Satan’s got to get permission from God to do anything to me and God isn’t going to allow Satan to do anything that God already knows I can pass that way it shows my strength not my weakness. Are you there. See tests aren’t bad you have tests in school to let you show how much knowledge you have of the information given to you come on and you’re graded by that knowledge.

▶ 8:26 He will make a way of escape that you might be able to bear it you can handle it you don’t know. you know the American youth today are wimps. The American moms and dads are wimps they can’t stand any kind of pressure any kind of persecution [unclear] disagreement. If you don’t believe me just read the newspaper. First Corinthians 10:13 so testing is not the problem is it because he’s not gonna allow me to be tested above what I can endure so there’s another problem somewhere in there you agree with that yeah.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 4:1-3 (NKJV)

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

— Matthew 4:1-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:13
Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

— 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:04

Is mistreatment the reason?

▶ Watch this part (9:22)

Short answer: No. Everyone faces mistreatment; he was mocked as a hillbilly and faced danger in Detroit. Rejoice—great is your reward.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:22 mistreaters are people friends family coworkers and students just look around you they’re the ones going to mistreat you look around. Yeah they’re the ones they’re gonna debate you they’re gonna attack you if you really want to serve God they don’t want to climb up to your level they want to bring you down to their level I was called a holy roller because I got saved in a Pentecostal church I was called you think you’re better than anybody else you think you know it all yeah they just rip rip rip all the time you think [unclear] millions of people disagree with you and you’re telling me you know the truth yeah I know the truth because it’s just what Jesus said was the truth. Amen so they belittle you.

▶ 10:19 they laughed at me because I had a hillbilly accent down south we take vowels out [unclear] I’m gonna go take a shower [unclear]. Instead I’m going to the restaurant [unclear] oh. [unclear] call it stupid hillbilly dumb [unclear] I wasn’t dumb hillbilly not stupid hillbilly I can’t let that cause me to distract me from succeeding in life could that be an amen [unclear] this is me Dave Kincer I say restaurant you say restaurant big deal does that affect the moral standard of a man at all no. Sure they’re gonna mistreat you they’re gonna talk about you people will hate you criticize you separate you from their company [unclear] and the Bible says you rejoice in that day for great is your reward if I am to rejoice when people are mistreating me is that really a problem for me no there’s something else that’s causing me to stumble and fall away listen when I lived in Detroit if you think that any segment of society in America is abused anymore let me just tell you.

▶ 11:47 in Detroit I went to school with blacks Puerto Ricans Mexicans Italians and Chinese there was only one Chinese one person in there Chinese and she competed with me to be number one in the in the school it was either me or her me or her me or her and so I was always out to beat her and she was always out to beat me all right and then my last year of junior high this black boy came in name was John Carter never forget him I never forget that guy he dressed different than the rest of us he talked different than the rest of us he didn’t talk street talk he didn’t dress like the kids [unclear] like me and the other kids dressed you know the follow the herd dress you know whatever is and this guy was smarter than a booger and he won the first quarter he won the second quarter he won the third quarter man.

▶ 12:56 But the last quarter I got him and that’s the quarter that counted I had all A’s he had all A’s and one B. But that boy without saying anything to me taught me to change my dress my hairstyle and my talk and I could tell never got to meet his parents but I could tell man he had some parents that put some good direction in his life you see there’s only one race it’s called the human race are you there and there’s only two types of people or that human race good or bad you choose to be good or you choose to be bad. but anyway in Detroit [unclear] all these slang words cracker honky..

▶ 13:50 Dumb hillbilly stupid hillbilly I was called all these names that was just everyday life I couldn’t fall apart you got to live through things you got to [unclear] you got to get the mentality of rising up and being successful. Hey man I have to live with that. I’ve had guns pulled on me my first encounter in Detroit I was going to go to a movie we had the Globe show up in my neighborhood which is kind of a little white pocket in Detroit to the east of that was the Puerto Ricans and the Mexicans to the south were the blacks to the west were the blacks and to the north was a black predominantly black area okay there were gangs in all of these neighborhoods. So I decided there was a movie down at the Seville show [unclear] the black community I wanted to see so I walked down and I didn’t tell my parents anywhere I just walked down to this Seville show well before I got there [unclear] four black boys jumped me I had never been jumped before I didn’t know what they were doing I thought they were nuts so I just kept right on going man they took me slammed me into a store doorway and kind of [unclear] stepped in you know and they put a knife to my throat like that we want your money boy I

▶ 15:22 said I ain’t got any money lied through my teeth. Now it so happened that I had money but I had a jacket on with a pocket in it had a hole in it and the money had went through the hole they searched me and found nothing but literally I pooped my pants. Have you heard that phrase before that scared me that much that I actually messed my pants but I went on to that movie and I got to that Seville theater and I had to go in the bathroom and clean myself up I went down and sat down and everybody in there was black. [unclear] I was the only dumb hillbilly that ventured into the neighborhood. And so they would come up and they would sit beside me and they would put their arm against my arm they’d look at their arm and they’d look at my arm and they would rub my arm.

▶ 16:24 This is a truth. so [unclear] you’re the minority depending on where you’re at. But I never went back to that theatre again I. Don’t care what movie was playing there I stayed in my domain and the gangs I mean the [unclear] that was the big black gang north of us in the projects they were they were big and they were mean then you had [unclear] the Puerto Ricans and the Mexicans to the east and these other gangs and I had to go out into the community and these dogs these gangs these bullies were there these Mexicans and Latinos that are claiming [unclear] to get into America.

▶ 17:18 Because there’s gangs in these nations that are threatening them well welcome to America you get in the neighborhood of an American city you need [unclear] and they tell you I would have loved for the government to come and get me out of that violent mess when I went out into that community I went out [unclear] the danger of my life [unclear] and it didn’t matter what race you were everybody was in danger are you there. Hallelujah and they talked about guns they never lived in that neighborhood every home in that neighborhood the blacks the whites the Mexicans the Puerto Ricans the Italians [unclear] everybody had a gun why [unclear] if you didn’t they’re gonna come in and rob you.

▶ 18:20 now that’s mistreatment and this invokes Ben Carson whom I wanted to run for president but when he talked I could tell he didn’t have the speech but man that guy he lived a mile maybe a little over a mile from me and he lived in a worse neighborhood than I did and [unclear] through his mom and his family and that’s why I came through successful I had good parents parents that were an example to me parents that told me the right way and lived the right way are you there hallelujah. Ben Carson [unclear] they say he was in a middle-class neighborhood they’re lying through their teeth the liberals were lying [unclear] he was in no middle-class neighborhood he was in a horrible neighborhood. And the bullies don’t care what skin color you are I had a white gang that come to my house to beat me up for.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 5:11-12 (NKJV)

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

— Matthew 5:11-12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:20 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

How did he rise above his surroundings?

▶ Watch this part (19:23)

Short answer: Good parents set the example. He refused parties built on alcohol and sex. The home makes the difference.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:23 Entering their territory the hood well you can’t go very far without getting in somebody’s territory. Bullies are bullies evil people are evil people amen now this is common mistreatment in this world maybe you live in a rose-colored glass house or something but let me tell you if you live in a normal those people disagree with you there’s people that don’t like you there’s people that that are going to talk bad about you you just got to buck up and win by being successful could I get an amen yes. And they talked about the Me Too thing where women are being groped by men and forced by men listen from the time I was five years old girls were trying to get me into the smokehouse into the weed patch and if girls they were they would they would grope me they would grab me homosexuals when I got older they also groped me and grabbed me and propositioned me and I literally had as a teenager all kinds of offers to go to bed with girls I mean they literally come up and say come over to my house Saturday night [unclear].

▶ 20:42 You got to rise above that you know I don’t want to be no teenage dad I seen what teenage dads were doing and teenage moms are doing I didn’t want no part of that are you with me and I had parents that were a good example I wanted a home like my parents had mom and dad that their family was first they provided we weren’t rich but they provided are you there. So it isn’t the mistreatment and it’s not the tests that causes these people to stumble and fall away so what is it what is it they are shocked and surprised if you do not go with them in immoral sex lusts alcohol parties and other [unclear] behaviors in Detroit they would have parties and I’ve seen so many girls the next day saying I was drunk because they lost their virginity at the party they go to the party and the whole purpose of the party was the music.

▶ 21:48 The alcohol and drugs and to get somebody naked and go to bed with them that was the whole goal of the party. and these girls knew they were going to get drunk when they got there and and when they got drunk they wound up in the back bedroom or in the back seat of a car the back alley having sex and not even knowing what’s going on and then the next day their excuse was I was drunk well you might have been drunk but don’t come wanting a date with me. are you there they want to do that and want a date with you you’re going to school you’re going somewhere and then they they want to date with you I don’t want secondhand stuff. I’m a teenager I deserve first-hand stuff I’m not an old person can I get an amen.

▶ 22:45 Alleluia. my son Jordan last week said dad I don’t know if I could make it in your neighborhood I said yes you can my parents were a great example they taught me they took me to church and I wanted to be like them and the neighborhood was an example of not to be my home was the only dry home on both sides of the block in that neighborhood my parents didn’t drink my parents didn’t curse and swear and my parents never [unclear] you know they didn’t do stuff like that there was no discrimination in my home at all I brought home black boys and Puerto Ricans and Mexicans. I didn’t bring Chinese because [unclear] was a girl and she was my competition. To my house all right and they were welcomed.

Then why do they fall away?

▶ Watch this part (23:40)

Short answer: A hard, rocky heart (Mark 8:17). Matthew 13 and Luke 8: no root, no depth, no water.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:40 Hallelujah I said yes Jordan you can make it especially if you’re getting the word you can make it you can rise above the mistreatment you can rise above all the evil that’s around could that be true the home makes the difference now. common tests and mistreatments are not why one stumbles and falls away if that’s not true then what is it now here we go. Jesus in Mark 8:17 turned to the apostles and said beware of the doctrine of the scribes and Pharisees and they go [unclear] what’s he talkin about. And Jesus said why is your heart yet hard you see the hard heart the rock heart. He says why do you still not understand it’s the hard heart it’s the rock heart.

▶ 24:41 All right. he goes on to say in Matthew 13:20 and Luke 8:6 and 13 you have no root no depth or water in themselves there’s no root no depth or water in them. Now that’s a big difference from common trials and common mistreatment isn’t it big difference here this is the absence of the root the depth and the water as quick as they sprout they are burnt by the sun as quick it takes about seven days or so for a seed to germinate a root comes out of that seed and tries to go down into the soil to find nourishment and water a sprout grows up from that seed to go get oxygen which through photosynthesis will manufacture food for that plant ok through the sun the sun is good for the plant in it yes.

Mark 8:15-17 (NKJV)

Then He charged them, saying, “Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have no bread.” But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “Why do you reason because you have no bread? What is the root?

▶ Watch this part (25:50)

Short answer: Jesus. Revelation 22:16: “I am the root and the offspring of David.” John 15: without me you can do nothing.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 25:50 alleluia is the S-O-N of God good for the plant in the spiritual world yeah. but the sun if there’s no root won’t cause photosynthesis. It will burn up that plant. Are you with me so what are these three things. these three no root no depth no water are why they stumble and fall away first Jesus is the root Revelation 22:16 I Jesus I am the root and the offspring of David. So they have no Jesus in them they have a lack of Jesus in them that’s a big one.

▶ 26:44 the root is very important to that plant and Jesus is very important to us as Christians. it says in John 15:4 the branch cannot bear fruit of itself the vine has roots [unclear] moisture goes up through the vine to the branch. And bears fruit but it can’t do it without being connected to the root and the vine can it no now Jesus he says neither can you bring forth fruit except you abide in me I am the vine he’s not only the root he is the vine if you’re talking about a tree he’s not only the root he’s the stump. Are you there and you are a branch connected to the root and the stump of the tree here the vine amen and without him there’s no nourishment coming up.

Can a denomination or religion substitute for Christ?

▶ Watch this part (27:51)

Short answer: No. No foundation but Jesus. Ephesians 2:20: built on the apostles, prophets and Jesus the cornerstone; follow their interpretation, not your own.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 27:51 To produce fruit without Jesus you can’t produce fruit and what’s the goal the fruit of being good not evil and eternal life it isn’t your faith and you believe everybody in America talks about their faith and belief and that is not the goal the devils believe and they tremble faith is not the goal good is the goal. Without me you can do nothing when is the American [unclear] going to learn that we substitute Christ with our denomination I’m a Baptist I’m a Catholic I’m a Presbyterian [unclear] they didn’t die for you they can’t feed you.

▶ 28:42 They can’t cause the word of God to bring forth fruit in you they’re just an organization [unclear] can’t do anything for you we’re just vessels of God to preach the word and that’s all we’re allowed to preach is the word not our opinions could that be an amen and that’s all you’re allowed to believe and preach too is the word not your opinions and so we have religions like Hindu the Muslim the Buddhist and so forth I don’t care being a Buddhist is not gonna get you anywhere being a Hindu [unclear] millions of Hindus there’s millions I don’t care if there’s billions. You’re not going to be fruitful without Jesus Christ and his work we got that clarity and all you got to know is the two commandments to sum up the Bible what are they love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself that sums up the whole Bible and in other words treat yourself good and treat others good and treat God good amen.

▶ 29:52 Yes. You’re not a dummy when it comes to the Bible they try to sidetrack you with the pre-tribulation rapture and the psychology they try to sidetrack you but these two commandments sum up the Bible and anybody can know it oh yeah and all the rest of the Bible was written for you to have precision understanding of how to be good and avoid evil. People go to their own doctrines whether I believe okay who cares what you believe. What does the Bible say to believe. Other people all these books written and everything else and tapes in the and the internet they all got their ideas and we get distracted from following Jesus and his doctrine and therefore we stumble and we fall away we cannot produce fruit because without Jesus and his moral word you cannot live a good life the atheists are totally wrong they think they can be moral on their own and they’re not.

▶ 31:03 no man can be moral on their own [unclear] I watched a debate [unclear] a discussion rather wasn’t really a debate between Ben Shapiro and [unclear] he’s the young guy that’s taken America by storm and then there was a homosexual activist there conversing and there was an atheist [unclear] the liberal and there was a far left person and these guys are talking and they get to the Bible and every one of them agreed it’s people’s interpretation. and as smart as Ben Shapiro is folks he just missed it big time there and I’m gonna show you why a little later all right now no one can lay a foundation other than Jesus Christ is that an amen is that Bible that’s Bible ain’t no Buddha ain’t no Joseph Smith yeah you know ain’t no Muhammad it’s only Jesus you are built on the foundation the apostles prophets and Jesus Christ the chief cornerstone Ephesians 2:20 is that scripture all right their doctrines their teaching and their interpretation is who we are to follow.

What doctrines distract people?

▶ Watch this part (32:15)

Short answer: Rules about women’s hair, pants and makeup; misreading “women keep silent”; refusing baptism because of the thief on the cross; tongues as the required sign.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 32:15 Jesus interpreted the scriptures and revealed them unto us the apostles continued it and we must go back to the apostles the prophets of the Bible and Jesus Christ they interpret the Bible for us and we get into big trouble when we try to interpret the Bible we get ridiculous doctrines you know women can’t wear pants women can’t cut their hair women are picked on a lot you can’t wear makeup can do this you can’t do that all right what’s that got to do with morality. Me growing my hair long makes me a righteous woman get off of it I knew them. Some of them offered sex to me hair growing down to their tailbone you know no makeup they look like a zombie walking around.

▶ 33:16 Then they proposition me right in church. What did Jesus say it’s not the outward that makes a person right it’s the inward are you there listen I can tell you a lot of stories growing up in the church and trying to serve God and trying to be distracted I had to fight through a lot of nonsense to get to a practical place in the kingdom are you there and so will you and these friends and your family your wife and your husband if you want to grow in God they’re [unclear] they’re gonna resist you they’re gonna mistreat you they’re gonna attack you. it’s not your own doctrine it’s not man’s doctrine it’s how the apostles the prophets and Jesus interpreted the scriptures the scriptures must interpret the scriptures.

▶ 34:22 Alleluia like women keep silent in a church they have no understandings that the word woman and the word wife are the same word in the Greek all right and in the Hebrew same word so you got to take the context and the context is the woman is not to assert authority over the man in the assembling of the church not any man her husband her husband are you there God wants to keep order is that fair now you go home you can let him have it.

▶ 35:04 but in the church gathering you [unclear] respect the authority of your husband not someone else’s husband your husband it’s that simple and yet we take a doctrine out of it and [unclear] and I can go on and on now some people won’t get water baptized because the thief on the cross didn’t have to get water [unclear] he couldn’t get water baptized stupid he’s dying if he’d have come off the cross he’d have went and got baptized like everybody else did them thousands that came to Christ all got baptized they take one thief on the cross well I don’t have to [unclear] water baptism it’s nothing it is something repent and be baptized how many every one of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and anyway tongues is a sign of the baptism the Holy Ghost nowhere in the Bible does that say that.

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 2:38 (NKJV)

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Is tongues the sign of the Spirit baptism?

▶ Watch this part (36:00)

Short answer: No. A Baptist preacher’s anointing sent him to the scriptures: tongues is one of the nine gifts. Don’t belittle it—Paul said forbid not.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 36:00 Nowhere. but we were taught it in Pentecostal churches till we believed it we didn’t dig into the word and how I found out [unclear] and when I was saved I really got saved I mean I got born again the next week I got water baptized and God’s presence came in that baptism all over me and then the next Sunday I got filled with the Holy Ghost with speaking in tongues all right I did speak in tongues but let me tell you one of the tongues that impressed me it was the love of God that impressed me he baptized me in love it was powerful and he drove me to the word and he drove me he convicted that Holy Ghost was there convicted me every day to get better and better and better somebody who saw me with zeal they’re the one that directed me to the church I wound up in because they went to a church and the church was exactly what I was looking for I was looking for the presence and the word that the depth the the width and height of God’s word not salvation water baptism and stuff every Sunday I wanted the meat of the word and they told me and I went to that church and sure enough that’s what I was looking for they didn’t want it they just wanted to be a believer but they knew I wanted it then somebody says there is a preacher down here on Beach Boulevard in a little Baptist church that man you’ll love to hear and so I go down to this Baptist church and Baptists don’t believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with speaking in tongues I had been saved a year but now I had read the Bible through more that more than once and

▶ 37:30 I had studied it as much as I could so I knew in a year I knew a lot about the word I walk into that church and I was a little late [unclear] because of my work and the song service was over and this guy was starting to preach and I swear he preached with the same anointing the same authority that I had from being baptized in the Holy Ghost and I’m sitting there going how can this be they don’t believe in the baptism. And yet it’s obvious this guy is anointed by the Holy Ghost. And so I went to God with it and he said son you need to search the scriptures and so I did I searched the scriptures and I found out that tongues was not a sign of the baptism of the Holy Ghost at all it’s one of the gifts of the Holy Ghost one.

Is there salvation in other religions?

▶ Watch this part (38:25)

Short answer: Acts 4:12: salvation is in no other than Jesus. The kingdom has no open borders—Jesus is the door (John 10:1).

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 38:25 and don’t you belittle tongues Paul said forbid not to speak in languages and Paul said I speak in tongues more than you all and Paul said tongues are for the unbeliever so don’t you get on this bandwagon with trying to ridicule and get rid of tongues tongues are there they’re part of the nine gifts of the Holy Ghost are you with me but I’m trying to show you I had to get through all these extremes. Acts 4:12 salvation exists in no other than Jesus is that an amen so are the Muslims a religion of peace like everybody’s trying to tell us there is no peace without Jesus he is the prince of peace what where is your brains if he’s the prince of peace how can Muhammad be the prince of peace.

▶ 39:26 You see we get crippled by our lack of understanding well that’s that’s discrimination you’re saying everybody else is wrong and you’re right that’s what the Bible says I can only give you the Bible God is right and everybody else is wrong. If you don’t believe what he said to believe he is still right and you are what wrong but but there’s over a billion Muslims in the world they can all be wrong what does this say salvation exists eternal life exists only in who Jesus Christ and they say he didn’t die on the cross he was just another prophet like Muhammad folks he was God and his body died on the cross any idiot knows when you die your spirit lives but your body dies and goes to the dust his body and the flesh died but his spirit lived just like you can’t kill God you can’t kill you except in the lake of fire the second death your spirit will go on living it’s that simple.

▶ 40:45 Do you see it. Hallelujah it’s Bible isn’t that difficult we just want everybody to get to heaven well everybody is going to heaven folks you might as well get that in your cranial vacuum and get [unclear] plugged into it. All right now does the kingdom of God have open borders. No. Who’s the way into the kingdom Jesus ain’t no open borders Jesus said you come in any other way you’re a thief and a robber where do the thieves and robbers go to hell to the lake of fire correct that’s where [unclear] hell winds up in the lake of fire are you with me then these people they want in and violate the law and be accepted as American citizens and I’ll tell you something I told you in Detroit we had guns and if you didn’t you could not protect yourself from that violent neighborhood and you enter my house when you weren’t invited my dad’s gonna drop you that’s the bottom line he is not gonna let you hurt his wife or his children he gonna drop you and my dad was meek and humble.

▶ 42:12 Very humble he didn’t say many many words but I tell you you walking you get you breaking that door to get in my house man you’re gonna be dropped. He is not gonna let his kids get hurt are you there now if my home doesn’t have open borders and the kingdom of God doesn’t have open borders who are these idiots telling us that America as a nation should have open borders that’s just a lack of common sense isn’t it. But when you hear lies enough you believe them when you don’t do your research and get the proof you believe them. You can come into America if you follow the rules and let me tell you something you don’t need a wall all you’ve got to do is obey the laws that’s on the books and put in prison for one year everyone that came across illegal.

▶ 43:14 Then ship them back to their nation after that year and if they come back the second time put them in prison for five years they’ll get the message. all right don’t allow anyone to work [unclear] they come for work and I don’t blame them I mean [unclear] I lived in Kentucky the white trash you know we were called and all that and we were poor folks dumb folks you know that was that was the way while we were white idiots yeah we didn’t brush our teeth we didn’t do basic things you know our teeth wouldn’t rot out and everything else because of bad upbringing they called us poor white trash [unclear] inbred and wound up with mongrel kids and have you ever seen one their distorted and we had a family living not too far from us that was a mongrel family and [unclear] saw the man they were strange people [unclear] distorted because of inbreeding folks they say it would cost too much to do all this do you know it’s costing a half a trillion dollars to deal with the illegals in America all you got to do is divert the money don’t let them get a job if they can’t get a job they won’t come in the first place [unclear] they’ll go back

▶ 44:44 home and they’ll come through the right way. Could that be an amen now if and I’m giving you proof the proof is the kingdom does not have open borders does it and you would be a fool if you let your house become an open border and anybody just come in wouldn’t you. that’s not gonna happen [unclear] right. And yet there’s a segment of America that’s brainwashed America and the thinking that oh we’re so unmerciful were separated see they picked these [unclear] they’re separating kids from the parent well what do you think happens when a thief is caught he goes to prison is this kid with him. That’s ridiculous when a mother is a prostitute on drugs and can’t take care of that child [unclear] child is malnourished and mentally off does the government come and take that kid away from the mother yes do we agree with that yes well what’s this big deal about the border.

What is the depth?

▶ Watch this part (46:00)

Short answer: The heart must be plowed to remove hardness. Hosea 4:6: my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; reject my law and I will forget your children.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 46:00 there’s an underlying thing in the border to destroy America which most of you don’t know because you haven’t read the socialist manifesto the liberal manifesto the socialist platform the liberal platform the atheist platform every one of them is out to destroy America that is their goal they hate capitalism they hate religion they hate Christ they hate the Bible and so they’re trying to divide us and destroy us it’s right in their writings all you gotta do is read it if you read the Communist Manifesto. It’s right in their writings oh the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God amen the depth is the earth in the earth or is moisture and there is nourishment and you are the earth and how you prepare your heart is going to depend on how you’re going to grow in the word.

▶ 46:59 That heart has to be plowed you don’t like to be plowed you don’t like people saying things you disagree with but that’s getting out the hardness. That earth has to be plowed amen. my people are destroyed for the lack of water baptism no for the lack of what faith no for the lack of knowledge God says you reject knowledge I will reject you as priest the priest had two responsibilities to minister to God to pray to worship him to bring tithes and offerings unto him and so forth minister under God is the first responsibility of the priest and a New Testament says we’re all priests the second responsibility of the priest was ministered to the people how do we minister by doing them no harm by telling them what’s good by showing them what’s good isn’t that right and he says if you’re gonna reject knowledge you will not be a priest unto me he also says if you forget or ignore and neglect my law I will forget your children now you say what law [unclear] I’m gonna ask you what law number one is [unclear] God with all your heart soul mind and strength ability.

▶ 48:23 [unclear] love your neighbour by doing no harm and love yourself by doing no harm to yourself be an example. You reject that my law you reject my word and I will forget your children now why is this important because the children follow the parents. And only God can intervene and come to those kids through preachers and Christian people being a light to show a different way for those children. now let me submit this to you is God against children no. Is he for the family yes so why is he going to forget the children because of the parents. To get everybody to wake up.

▶ 49:21 Now I submit to you this we’re living in a season the last visitation of God ended in the eighties we’ve gone over thirty years without a spiritual awakening in America in that last awakening the hippies came to God who rebelled against their parents and everything didn’t you see God after a period of time overruled the parents and came for the kids now we’re in another season. Parents are doing their thing they’re not an example to their kids and the American kids are weaklings they’re weak mentally they’re weak emotionally they’re weak spiritually are you with me is it true it absolutely is true but I can tell you from knowing the Bible and knowing history that God is on the verge of moving again he’s trying to wake up America America’s adults America’s parents seeing their kids in the school they’re told that homosexuality is ok and transgenders ok they are destroying the minds of our kids evolution is true when it’s a theory they’re destroying the minds of our kids and the parents are at their wit’s end they’re losing their children why God wants everybody to wake up he wants the parents to come into the kingdom.

What is the water?

▶ Watch this part (50:51)

Short answer: The word that cleanses (Ephesians 5:26) and keeps us from sin (Psalm 119:11). Desire the sincere milk of the word (1 Peter 2:2).

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 50:51 That makes sense and when he moves and listen many parents who had went away from God came back to God through their hippy kids coming to know God and the parents coming to find out what was the big change in their kids they got saved. Are you with me hallelujah. Now. Water is the cleansing and growing power of the word as the musicians come Jesus cleanses the church by the washing of the water the word and. your word have I hid in my heart that I might not what sin I need the word I need the word I need to be reading it every day memorizing I need the word that’s what’s going to keep me from sinning as babies how many feel like a babe in Christ a lot of you’re just flat-out liars are just flat-out afraid to to.

▶ 51:45 Express yourself in public. Alright a baby whines. Criticizes complains [unclear] are we getting closer a baby can’t think for themselves they’re always messing up all right they want to put the finger in the electric socket yeah they can’t change their own pants they can’t feed themselves they’re just a bunch of whiners and complainers as babies desire the sincere milk of the word that you might grow by the word of God I

▶ 52:31 submit to you this morning that Jesus Christ and his word as we have read are vital they are necessary for you to be a live a fruitful Christian life and to get understanding is that a good statement their vital you cannot substitute Jesus for anything folks and you cannot substitute his word for your own thinking and the popular thinking of the day you may not like to be plowed but you need to be plowed and get the hardness out of your heart a testing and mistreatment is going to come even before you were a Christian you were mistreated and you were tested because it’s common to men isn’t that right you become a Christian now they just add to it oh yeah I was told by

▶ 53:25 some adult well you know you’ll only last six months you Christians just come and go they had no idea that I really got born again I really met God in water baptism and I really got filled with the Holy Ghost and I was on a pathway that nobody was going to distract me from he was going by his [unclear] experience of others that you know did what they were told to do and all that and following the intellect and so forth I got born again there’s a big difference. Yeah those people fell away but I didn’t fall away and I’m 75 and I’m falling away and falling away was never in my vocabulary and my thinking getting up was I knocked myself down you mean how many know you someone don’t have to knock you down you can knock yourself down and you got to pick yourself up let alone others knocking you down and you got to pick yourself up isn’t that right.

▶ 54:31 the thing that will overcome the testing [unclear] is Jesus his word and the depth the plowing we got to be plowed we got to get rid of the hardness how many are willing to voluntarily and say Lord I got some hard. I want you to plow me now we’re getting more honest alleluia. God don’t want one pebble in his field. All right and the water of the word gives us wisdom and understanding to handle the tests and mistreatment and grow.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Private names (a classmate, his son) stay in the transcript only. Garbled words are marked [unclear]. Kept as spoken: “everybody is going to heaven folks” where the point is that not everyone is (40:45); “I’m 75 and I’m falling away” where he means he is not (53:25); “Mark 8:17” for the warning about the scribes’ and Pharisees’ doctrine. Unverified: illegal immigration costs half a trillion dollars (43:14); the last awakening ended in the eighties. Sensitive content kept as spoken: American youth and parents are “wimps” and kids “weaklings” (8:26, 49:21). Detroit stories: mugged at knifepoint by four black boys, “I pooped my pants”, black moviegoers rubbing his arm, ethnic gangs, Mexicans and Latinos claiming asylum (13:50–17:18). Liberals “lying” about Ben Carson’s neighborhood (18:20). Groped by girls from age five and propositioned by homosexuals, a Me Too comparison (19:23). On girls who got drunk and lost their virginity at parties: “don’t come wanting a date with me… I don’t want secondhand stuff” (21:48). Hindus and Buddhists “not gonna get you anywhere”; Muslims as a “religion of peace”: “where is your brains” (28:42, 38:25). Women with strict dress rules “look like a zombie” and propositioned him (32:15). Open-borders supporters are “idiots”; his father would “drop” an intruder; jail illegal immigrants and deport them (40:45–43:14). Kentucky “poor white trash”, inbreeding and “mongrel kids… distorted” (43:14). Border family separation compared to removing a prostitute’s child (44:44).
