From the sermonSatan’s 4th Appearance 06/03/2018 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer reviews Satan’s first three appearances, then reconciles 2 Samuel 24:1 and 1 Chronicles 21:1: God used Satan to move David into a census without the ransom Exodus 30 required, bringing a plague on idolatrous Israel. He links this to Micaiah’s lying spirit and Isaiah 54:16, applies it to America, and calls the church to speak up, praise God and dwell in Psalm 91.

What was Satan from the beginning?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: A liar, murderer and tempter from the beginning—the father of lies, who cannot conceive a truth.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:00 We’ve been talking about fighting against God and remember the scriptures if it’s of man it will come to naught but if it’s of God you will find yourself fighting against God and then we found in the scriptures that because they did not know God nor the scriptures they didn’t understand the scriptures they didn’t understand God they fought against God and even killed the messiah that they were looking for to come because they didn’t understand all right so we got to understand the scriptures and we got to understand the nature of God amen but we also have another source of fighting against God Satan is our adversary the Devil and we’re not ignorant of Satan’s purposes his devices his schemes his trickery and he is an accuser of the brethren he comes to rob to kill to steal and destroy and he’s the tempter to tempt you in the beginning he sinned in the beginning he was a murderer and in the beginning he was a liar the Bible says right at the beginning you got to understand that because the famous teaching out there is he fell away somewhere down the line and all that but at the beginning he was what a liar a murderer so and he was the father of lies that means a father [unclear] conceives a

Scripture (NKJV)

John 8:44 (NKJV)

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

— John 8:44 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:27 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What were Satan’s first three appearances?

▶ Watch this part (1:30)

Short answer: Deceiving Eve, moving Cain to murder Abel, and accusing Job without proof.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:30 father gives life Satan cannot conceive a truth because there’s no truth in him now he can repeat a truth that God has conceived but he can’t conceive a truth you understand that. He’s a liar that’s all he can do he’s a deceiver the truth is not in him and there’s the scriptures for it remember that Eve was Satan’s target and Satan used the serpent to talk Eve into eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil all right and he caused Eve and Adam to sin so that God would destroy them and God would kill them but God sacrificed the first animal and prophesied that a messiah would come and die and

▶ 2:26 Destroy Satan’s authority right at the beginning all this happened right at the beginning so Adam and Eve could repent and they could go on with their life which they did but they did die after 900 years that’s a long life secondly [unclear] Satan’s second appearance in the book the Bible says that Satan murdered Abel a righteous man using Cain an evil man and Cain had a temper problem an anger problem I trust you don’t when you do you’re going to shoot your mouth off and you’re going to do things spontaneously that can harm yourself and others and so Satan used Cain to kill righteous Abel and God said if you do good you’ll be accepted so good [unclear] the same thing the tree of good and evil good was the goal and responsibility of mankind from the very beginning and it’s carried all the way through to the book of Revelation the third.

— Job 1:9-11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:28 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What do Job’s friends teach about accusing?

▶ Watch this part (3:29)

Short answer: Accusing without proof breaks homes and marriages. The Spirit won’t lead you to accuse without proof.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:29 Appearance of Satan is he accused Job without proof of serving God just because God had a hedge around him and he blessed his finances he blessed his health he blessed his family he blessed everything that Job did and so Satan accused Job before God and says he only serves you because you are good to him so God allowed Satan God gave Satan permission to destroy Job’s wealth health children and his servants his employees to show the world that his people would serve God whether bad things happen or good things happen one of the most powerful books in the Bible is Job amen and we find that Job’s friends came along and falsely accused Job of sinning [unclear] the reason these things happen to you [unclear] in your life Job would say give me the proof and they couldn’t give him any proof man and Christians do this today they accuse people and they blame people and they do it without any proof they just feel like it or the spirits supposed to lead them but the spirit will not lead you to do anything that it doesn’t have proof of you understand that.

How was Job restored?

▶ Watch this part (4:49)

Short answer: He repented of blaming God, offered a burnt offering and prayed for his false friends; then he was refreshed and restored.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:49 And so many homes have been broken and marriages broken because someone in the family or one of those spouses attack the other one without any evidence and any proof. Job admitted to the sin of blaming God after all this talk with his three friends Job fell into a sin he said God was unfair God counted me as his enemy it profits no one to serve God God did this to me and then the young guy stood up and said you three friends are wrong you accuse Job without any evidence and Job you are wrong because you accused God and God answers to no one he does what he wants in the heavens and the earth amen and it wasn’t God doing this to you Job it was Satan oh yeah.

▶ 5:53 amen so Job repented God showed up by the way [unclear] God was talking to these people personally and God showed up personally and talked to Job okay and Job repented and then he was refreshed and restored and we are living in the time of what restoration and refreshing we can be refreshed and restored after he offered a burnt offering.

▶ 6:31 Yeah and he prayed for his false accusing friends the burnt offering was the ransom offering a payment for our sin a payment to get in to the kingdom of God and he prayed for his false friends that accused him and church I just submit to you if you can get your eyes off your own life and your own situation and get concerned about someone else it opens a window in heaven that you have an experience as long as you stay with your little fence around you and just caring about yourself you’re gonna miss out on a lot of things that God has to give you you understand that Job [unclear] was not refreshed and was not restored until he offered the burnt offering and prayed for his friends.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Job 42:8-10 (NKJV)

Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.” So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD commanded them; for the LORD had accepted Job. And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

— Job 42:8-10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:34 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What is Satan’s fourth appearance?

▶ Watch this part (7:30)

Short answer: Second Samuel 24:1: the Lord moved David to number Israel. Exodus 30:12 required a ransom for every soul when a census was taken, or a plague would come.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 7:30 His friends that attacked him not just good friends his bad friends I just thought I’d throw that out. Now. We’re gonna take a look at Satan’s fourth appearance in the Bible and you got to follow this very closely in 2nd Samuel 24:1 the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel and moved king David to say go number Israel ok so the Lord moved king David right. To take a census now in the Bible there is a law for taking a census Exodus 30 verse 12 when you take the census of the children of Israel then you shall give every man a ransom for his soul the soul is the part of you that lives forever.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Samuel 24:1 (NKJV)

Again the anger of the LORD was aroused against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, “Go, number Israel and Judah.”

Scripture (NKJV)

Exodus 30:12 (NKJV)

“When you take the census of the children of Israel for their number, then every man shall give a ransom for himself to the LORD, when you number them, that there may be no plague among them when you number them.

— Exodus 30:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:13

What does the census ransom point to?

▶ Watch this part (8:27)

Short answer: The same price for everyone—Jesus’ death as our ransom—and being born again of water and spirit to be numbered in the kingdom.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:27 [unclear] can mean people or soul in the Bible can mean that inner spirit that inner man that’s the part of you that lives forever and so if they took a census [unclear] they were going to be numbered in the kingdom of God they had to offer this ransom of one half a shekel everybody had to give the same price a half a shekel whether you’re poor rich it was the same ransom price okay. And that there be no plague no deaths among you when you take the census wow if this ransom is not offered then deaths going to come in the census got it. Now the priests the prophets the king and the people were taught this shadow law and knew this shadow law they knew a lot of laws okay it is a shadow law shadow law is an

▶ 9:29 Example of a real truth to come okay the real truth to come is unless you be born again of the water and of the spirit water baptism and the spirit of the word and the Holy Spirit you cannot see or enter the kingdom you can’t be numbered in the kingdom you can’t be part of that kingdom are you there that’s what it’s pointing to. but there also has to be a ransom paid and it’s got to be the same price for everyone and that ransom is Jesus dying on the cross for your sins that you might live that’s the ransom and when after the ransom is paid you got to be what water baptized you got to come under the conviction of the scriptures the word is spirit and the Holy Ghost are you there.

▶ 10:31 Born again that’s what born-again is the word and the spirits involved and you get water baptized you got to be born of the water and of the spirit water baptism is identifying with Christ going down into the grave when we go down into the water coming up out of that grave the water a new creature old things passed away all things made new amen and this is a shadow law of that and the shadow law says there will be death if you don’t pay the ransom and who’s the ransom Jesus every one of us must what accept Jesus’s death on the cross for our payment to be able to be numbered in the kingdom of God amen and then we get water baptized.

Scripture (NKJV)

John 3:5 (NKJV)

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

— John 3:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:36 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Who moved David—the Lord or Satan?

▶ Watch this part (11:26)

Short answer: First Chronicles 21:1 says Satan. There is no contradiction—God used Satan to do it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 11:26 Alleluia and we get convicted the Holy Spirit is there to convict you of sin righteousness and a judgment to come he teaches you all truth so the spirits involved that’s what us Protestants call being born again amen now. we’re gonna go to First Chronicles 21:1 here is the catch-22. Satan stood up against Israel same account and moved David to number Israel up here the Lord moved king David to number Israel down here Satan moved King David to number Israel and the atheists and the people that attacked the Bible say [unclear] there’s a contradiction there’s no contradiction here at all none at all it is totally truth both scriptures are true ok we’re going to go to show you more clearly this to the fifth appearance of Satan in the scriptures and I have a question mark there because it doesn’t say that this is Satan but you’re going to know it is by the conditions of these verses.

Who was the lying spirit in Ahab’s prophets?

▶ Watch this part (12:46)

Short answer: Micaiah saw a spirit before God’s throne offer to be a lying spirit. Angels don’t lie; the liar is Satan.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:46 okay this is the scene Ahab is an evil king and the people of Israel doing evil alright. so God has a meeting up in heaven Micaiah the prophet was brought in by King Ahab the evil king to prophesy after 400 prophets already prophesied that he could go to battle with the Syrians and win the battle and he says I need one more prophet but this prophet never speaks good of me well that’s because he’s speaking the word of the Lord the four hundred weren’t and if you think the crowd is right because they’re all saying the same thing you better read your Bible very closely we had one prophet out of four hundred and one that were speaking the word of the Lord and that was Micaiah Micaiah said [unclear] I saw God on the throne in heaven with the hosts of heaven on each side of him and I heard God say who shall entice Ahab to go up and fall in battle and one spirit came and said well we can do this and another spirit said well we can do that another spirit said they can do this.

▶ 14:05 okay now Micaiah is talking to Ahab of this vision a spirit of heaven’s hosts another spirit said I’ll be a lying spirit in Ahab’s four hundred prophets. Right. So the four hundred prophets is speaking lies isn’t that right yeah one prophet knew this one the rest of them were lying now. God who sits on the throne said go and you shall entice Ahab and you shall prevail it’s the same scene that’s in Job at the beginning of Job the sons of God came to present themselves before.

▶ 14:57 God on the throne and Satan had to come and report in also and God initiated have you considered my servant Job here God initiates how can we get Ahab to go up and die in battle it’s the same picture got it now let me ask you is the angels that are messengers of the church the Bible says in Hebrews ministering spirits are they allowed to lie. This spirit is a lying spirit who was a liar from the beginning Satan who is the father of lies Satan. Gabriel is not gonna lie.

▶ 15:49 Michael the archangel isn’t gonna lie and no angels gonna come to you to minister to you gonna tell you lies. So that leaves who. Satan say it Satan. all right you’ll entice Ahab you got the trickery you’ll convince him to go up to war and he’ll die there now these are the facts Satan is a spirit is that correct yes a spirit of heaven’s hosts [unclear] there is no truth in him is that correct is he the father of lies is that correct yes and was he a liar a murderer and accuser from the beginning of creation yes so who is this spirit Satan.

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Kings 22:19-22 (NKJV)

Then Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left. And the LORD said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ The LORD said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the LORD said, ‘You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Does God destroy?

▶ Watch this part (16:49)

Short answer: Isaiah 54:16: “I created the waster to destroy.” God uses Satan for destruction; Revelation 9:11 calls him Apollyon.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:49 You see God always gets Satan to do his dirty work his evil work. the Bible says [unclear] of course Satan was sent to entice Ahab to die in war and he moved David to get an illegal census it was nothing wrong with taking a census whenever they wanted to but they had to get the ransom offering and if they didn’t get it and the people knew they were supposed to pay a half shekel when the census were taken so the people knew the prophets knew the king knew the priest knew this law and they let David take an illegal census he did not take the ransom offering when he counted the people and only one person in the kingdom stood up to the king anybody know who [unclear] Joab yeah only one person stood up to the king and then he was the captain of the army the commander of the army and David overruled him and he had to go do it in Isaiah 54:16 I created the waster to destroy waster is another word for destroy it’s a destroyer this could be written I created the destroyer to destroy.

▶ 18:13 Was he a destroyer from the beginning the Bible says was he a liar from the beginning was he a father of lies from the beginning there was no truth in him from the beginning yeah makes you [unclear] re-examine your Lucifer thing doesn’t it. Yeah. See a lot of times we just hear things enough we just believe them. So all this happened at the beginning one third of the angels in heaven at the very beginning left and followed Satan the destroyer. Got it. Hallelujah. also in Revelation 9:11 Apollyon the king of the bottomless pit the angel of the bottomless pit who is the king.

Why deliver people to Satan?

▶ Watch this part (19:09)

Short answer: Job 34:10: far be it from God to do evil. First Corinthians 5:5 and 1 Timothy 1:20: for destruction of the flesh and to learn not to blaspheme.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:09 Revelation says his name is Apollyon or destroyer. So who’s the king of the kingdom of darkness Satan is he a destroyer yes did God create the destroyer to destroy yes because God doesn’t destroy. has the Bible got you thinking. Yes. now Job 34:10 the young man Elihu said be it far from God to do evil and do wrong [unclear] Genesis says forbid that the Lord of all the earth would do wrong [unclear] all right so in Matthew 13:39 in the parable of the tares and the wheat the children of the kingdom and the children of the Devil who sowed the tares Satan [unclear] Satan did it you see in the 1st Corinthians 5:5 the young man who committed incest with his dad’s wife Paul said deliver such a one to who Satan not God not Jesus Satan the destroyer.

▶ 20:34 for the what destruction the destroyer knows how to destroy. Destruction of the flesh that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord. Amen. Turn him over to Satan why that’s Satan’s Job. Now. First Timothy 1:20 there were people that were teaching that the resurrection already came to pass Jesus was resurrected the old saints of the Old Testament were resurrected and there’s no more resurrection they said well that’s a lie that’s not the gospel and Paul again says you deliver such people to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme when you teach wrong doctrine and he called it what blasphemy.

▶ 21:31 harmful doctrine do we have a lot of harmful doctrine in America would they even consider that they’re blaspheming would they even think that God would have them turned over to Satan to save their spirit in the end. Are you out there. Hallelujah. See Satan is the guy that does harm God is the guy that does good. Satan is the destroyer God is the restorer. Amen all we got to do is repent admit we’re wrong and God restores and refreshes and puts us back in the middle of the road to the kingdom of God isn’t that beautiful and alleluia so see a lot of times.

Why was God angry with Israel?

▶ Watch this part (22:30)

Short answer: They had served other gods since Egypt (1 Samuel 8:8; Amos 5:26). God disciplined them through Satan by way of government.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 22:30 Satan is moving us to fight against God. Even though we know the scriptures and we know God. it was really Israel’s sinners that brought the plague you see Israel had rebelled against God they rebelled against the scriptures they were worshiping gods on high places throughout the kingdom where they weren’t supposed to be going to worship and they were worshipping the idols of Molech and [unclear] since they come out of Egypt this whole time that they came out of Egypt they were worshipping other gods and God’s anger was kindled against Israel’s sinners because they had rejected him and they were worshipping other gods you got it. Yeah as proof we go to 1st Samuel 8:8 God tells Samuel they rejected me as the ruler they have forsaken me and served other gods from Egypt to this day from the time they came out of Egypt they’ve been serving Molech and [unclear] until this day.

▶ 23:43 No not all of Israel was doing it but a big part of Israel was worshiping other gods that’s why God’s anger was kindled against them he wanted to discipline he wanted to bring punishment to them that he might save their spirit in the end. That makes sense and who did he get to do the Job. Satan and who did Satan use in this to get the work done David who had a heart after God. Wow. Is this thing getting complicated. Yeah. God wanted to deal with the sinners of Israel and he chose [unclear] this offering to get it done because God has to follow his laws are you there.

▶ 24:43 so in Amos 5:26 200 years later Amos prophesied the same thing that from the time they came out of Egypt and into the desert to that present time they’ve been worshipping other gods and he named them Moloch and [unclear] he named them all right and God said here that they’re going to go into captivity for it I’m not going to just bring discipline I’m going to take them into captivity so. God disciplines Israel’s sinners and uses Satan by way of government to achieve it is that a true statement. God wants to correct Israel’s sinners why because he wants them to be saved in the end and he uses Satan. To use government to achieve it now church that ought to really open your eyes to what’s going on in America we want to blame politicians.

What does this mean for America?

▶ Watch this part (25:45)

Short answer: The root problem may be the citizens. God may be using civil leaders and plagues like disease and addiction to get America’s attention.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 25:45 When the real root of the problem is the citizens. Could that be true. We could be the real root of the problem we can blame Governor Brown we can blame who’s president Trump [unclear] just kidding I know who’s president we can blame we can blame we can blame and if they’re doing wrong they are wrong. But maybe God is using civil leaders to straighten out America. Maybe we need to get our act together could that be true it’s so easy for us to blame somebody [unclear] just a blaming generation yeah all right today government okays sexual sin same-sex incest.

▶ 26:45 Plural marriage that anything goes anymore. Bisexual. Sexually transmitted diseases. 50% of Americans adult Americans have or have had a sexually transmitted disease now folks that is a plague and some of those sexually transmitted diseases kill people and several of them are incurable they’re stuck for life and I read an article years ago [unclear] Hollywood they just say you know because they sleep around all the time you give me your sexually transmitted disease and I’ll give you mine and they take their pills and they don’t have all these problems and they just accept it instead of repenting. Admitting and turning back to do right amen and I’ve told you over and over there was only two venereal diseases back in the 50s now we have over thirty after the sexual revolution what God is trying to get people’s attention okay I watched a show when Hannity and Colmes were together Hannity was the conservative and Colmes [unclear] the liberal and this lady pastor they had on there and the question was [unclear] there was something going on in America that some people said it was a punishment of God and some people said no God don’t do that and this lady pastor explained how God does punish sinners.

▶ 28:16 Better than I am today I mean this woman had it she nailed it and. after she went off the show Hannity and Colmes both said oh God don’t do things like that both the conservative and the liberal and this woman gave them scripture very clear because people don’t want to believe that God is involved in the affairs of men and bad things happen because he allows Satan to come and do it are you there. God is love [unclear] yes he is but he’s got a bulldog. By the name of Satan that’s ready to rip you up and all God has to do is say go get him Satan sic him Satan sic him and here he comes and

▶ 29:09 He’s there to get your attention to what turn back to right are you there and venereal diseases as part of that plague part of that problem drugs a hundred thousand people are going to die in America this year from alcohol and drugs let alone the physical problems the accidents and everything else and the cost to America is in the billions [unclear] tobacco is killing 400,000 people a year in America and the government puts a warning on the package but there’s no law not to [unclear] not to smoke there’s no law not to take drugs and they’re [unclear] legalizing marijuana now there’s no law against sexual immorality yet you ride a bike without a helmet and what happens.

Who should speak up?

▶ Watch this part (30:03)

Short answer: Priests and prophets stayed silent; only Joab objected. Even a small church must get the gospel out.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 30:03 Yeah that’s right you go down the road without a seat belt and what happened you get a ticket and they go oh all we’re doing such a good Job but if you’re doing a good Job there was only a few hundred people getting hurt a year in these things. But there’s thousands getting hurt in the others. But what does the Bible say. When things were being done wrong the people loved it [unclear] the citizens are responsible and gods after the citizens of America they ban Jesus in the Bible welfare without work when the Bible says if you don’t work you don’t eat and most Americans are what silent say the word silent silent they’re not saying I told you I listen to 20 sermons from 20 big ministers two saturdays ago and not one of them mentioned the lake of fire not one in all of those sermons I mean this took all day.

▶ 31:09 Not one address sin and the punishment for it not one. The American remember the priests back there knew this law and they were silent the prophets knew this law and they were silent Gad and Micaiah was prophets and they didn’t say anything to David are you there civil rulers knew this and the captain of the hosts knew this and Joab was the only one that said David you shouldn’t do this this is wrong. Should we speak up my point is this church even though we are small we need to get the word of the gospel out we can’t depend on mega churches and all these other people these popular ministers to do it even though we’re small we got to get the word out the gospel of Jesus could that be an amen and I’ve been ministering for over 40 years and I have yet [unclear] to see God raise up in my day with the people I have contact with someone that would take the gospel to them.

▶ 32:29 When I got saved in one week I was in a soul-winning class I’m sorry. third week I was in a soul-winning class [unclear] after I got filled with the Holy Ghost [unclear] filled with the Holy Ghost two weeks after I got saved and that Holy Ghost drove me to save people drove me to the word to learn the word and get it out I preached on the street corners I went door-to-door [unclear] preached in the jails juvenile hall juvenile correction centers I went to Mexico and preached in the [unclear] and I’ve preached all over the world and I have yet to. See one person raised up that has that vision to get the word out not only to unbelievers but the Christians so they can grow and be strong in God.

▶ 33:24 Could could we as a church start praying for God to do that. He doesn’t need a lot of I mean not everybody’s called to preach but we can all share the gospel right. Anyway. Second Samuel 24:10 David’s heart smote him David’s inner man we have a spirit within us that lives forever that spirit smote him you see that spirit not only [unclear] us again but it drives us to follow God and David when he saw these people dying his spirit smote him because God brought a plague oh I’m sorry his spirit smote him and he says I’ve sinned not Israel that’s not true did Israel sinned yeah they didn’t ask for the ransom offering and they were worshipping idols and David said take away my sin God said fine I will but you’re gonna have to choose three years of famine three months of war or three days of a plague you got to choose he says let me fall into the hands of God and not men so war was out so God allowed Satan to bring the plague and the plague [unclear] killed 70 thousand people [unclear] in Jeremiah 2:19 your own wickedness your heart your own wickedness what

▶ 34:55 correct you see the discipline of sin comes because of our behavior because God loves you because God wants you to change he doesn’t want you dying in the lake of fire. Amen. All right so David is forgiven and refreshed and restored after he offered the burnt offering. And who’s the burnt offering [unclear] we go to Jesus [unclear] get a lamb to offer it but we go to Jesus identified with his death on the cross ask him to forgive us and cleanse of sin and he’s faithful to do that. 70 times 70 and then he offered the peace offering the peace offering is the only offering of the five offerings that was not required it was voluntarily done and the peace offering means a praise offering or a thank offering why does this church take time to praise and to thank God in between songs so that you can voluntarily offer your praise and thanksgiving to God.

What is the purpose of offerings?

▶ Watch this part (36:14)

Short answer: Praise binds the enemy. Isaiah 1: cease to do evil, learn to do well, seek judgment. Psalm 91: no plague shall come near those who dwell in his shadow.

▶ 36:14 Are you there is that a fair thing to do is that a right thing to do absolutely because you need to personally. Address your God. Amen. And that’s the only offer and it’s not required it’s totally voluntary if you don’t do it okay you don’t do it but praise stills the enemy in the avenger praise brings the presence of God how many want the presence okay. How many want the avenger bound in your life thanksgiving and praise the fruit of your lips giving thanks unto his name God says I’ll bind Satan. That’s powerful statement don’t you think but what do we have a trouble with we have trouble with publicly doing what God asks us to do the Muslims have no problem publicly worshiping their way the Buddhists have no problem publicly worshiping their way a lot of Christians will not publicly worship the way God told him to lifting their hands their voices standing bowing kneeling clapping playing an instrument and singing the songs of the scripture.

▶ 37:38 When David did this. Then his captivity was turned now watch this to what purpose is the burnt offerings. who’s the burnt offering Jesus is the ransom he says what is the purpose of the burnt offerings he said I’m sick of your offering that’s what he says I’m sick of your feast days in your Sabbath days in your new moon’s and all that what is the purpose of all that put away evil of your doings from before my eyes cease to do evil and learn to do well what’s the whole purpose of going to Jesus. To learn to do well amen stop doing evil learn to do well repent from my wrong and do what’s right that’s the whole purpose in the Old Testament that’s the whole purpose in the new and look at this what’s this say seek judgment what are they saying that they don’t judge don’t judge me don’t judge me but he says so what seek judgment seek Jesus said make righteous judgment make a righteous decision he said seek right decisions.

▶ 38:49 Sorry about that. Amen. And look at this beautiful scripture Psalms 91 they that dwell in the shadow of the Almighty they [unclear] put their trust in God they [unclear] go to that cross and accept Jesus’s death a thousand shall fall at their side and ten thousand at the right hand but it shall not come nigh them. What. isn’t that beautiful only with their eyes shall they see the reward of the wicked there shall no evil befall them nor shall any plague come nigh their dwelling that’s the Job hedge. He’ll put a hedge around you.

▶ 39:42 When you dwell in the shadow of the almighty when you come to Christ and you follow him he promises you make him king and Lord of your life that when God comes to judge a nation you will be spared.

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Garbled words, including a second idol’s name, are marked [unclear]. Kept as spoken: “Gad and Micaiah” as prophets silent before David (31:09); “Jeremiah 219” rendered 2:19; “70 times 70”. Unverified: 50% of adult Americans have or have had an STD; only two venereal diseases in the 1950s versus over thirty now (26:45); 100,000 die from alcohol and drugs and tobacco kills 400,000 a year (29:09). Sensitive content kept as spoken: God has “a bulldog by the name of Satan”—“sic him” (28:16); the Governor Brown/Trump aside (25:45); legalizing marijuana; none of 20 big ministers mentioned the lake of fire (30:03). Doctrinal: God created the destroyer and does not destroy; Satan was a liar from the beginning (18:13). Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
