Return to Good Government: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Pastor David G. Kincer shows God punishing Babylon after using it to correct Judah: the writing on the wall, Belshazzar’s fall and Cyrus, named a century before birth, sending the Jews home. Daniel understood the seventy years by the books and prayed, confessing his and his fathers’ sins, as Leviticus 26 and 2 Chronicles 7:14 require. Through Christ we are freed from the law of sin and death and joined to him.
Does God punish the nation he used to punish his people?
Short answer: Yes, it is his pattern. Jeremiah 25:12: when seventy years are completed I will punish the king of Babylon and the land of the Chaldeans for their iniquity and make it perpetual desolation.
▶ 0:00 Going back to Israel’s captivity. We’re going to see that God punishes the nation he used to punish the Jews and that’s his pattern when he brought in. Punishment and correction on a nation then after a certain amount of time he also brought punishment correction on the nation who were doing the same things and they corrected them that’s his pattern all through the Bible you see this strong fortress of Babylon the city city of Babylon in Jeremiah 25:12 when the seventy years are completed I will punish the king of Babylon he tells us how long the captivity is going to be and he tells us he’s going to punish not only the king but the whole nation and the land of the Chaldeans for their iniquity sinners correcting sinners says the Lord I will make it a perpetual desolation and it is to this day this area is desolate alright and now here is the great city of Babylon the Euphrates river ran right through the middle of it it had walls [unclear] over 100 foot high very thick and it was.
Scripture in this part
Jeremiah 25:12 (NKJV)
‘Then it will come to pass, when seventy years are completed, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity,’ says the LORD; ‘and I will make it a perpetual desolation.
— Jeremiah 25:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:00What happened at Belshazzar’s feast?
Short answer: In false security Belshazzar threw a party; a hand wrote on the wall. Daniel interpreted: God has numbered your kingdom and finished it; you are weighed in the balances and found lacking; it is given to the Medes and Persians. That night Belshazzar was slain.
▶ 1:25 You couldn’t penetrate it alright and so. Cyrus the king of Persia had invaded the land and conquered the area up to the city of Babylon and Cyrus and Darius his general were outside the city [unclear] at the time of Daniel but Belshazzar the king of Babylon’s that time was in there throwing a party drinking and roaring and having a great old party going on because they can’t get to us we nobody can get into this city and they had hanging gardens where they could grow vegetables and all that they had water they had everything they needed. and so in his false security he throws a party and has all the bigwigs there and they’re just living it up and in the middle of the party a hand appears ooh.
▶ 2:27 And a hand writes on the wall mene mene tekel upharsin. Now no one understood the language and hear you have an Old Testament example of heavenly language. No one understood what was written so they brought in Daniel cuz they already knew this guy had his act together he had understanding alright they brought in Daniel [unclear] no problem I’ll tell you what it means I got the interpretation. It’s a heavenly language and the God of heaven revealed it to me are you there and why in America we’re so hung up on the baptism of the Holy Ghost tongues and all that just blows my mind it is Bible you better accept it and we better be ready for it when God moves again not that he’s not moving but I mean in that direction.
▶ 3:30 Hey man. So God has numbered your kingdom Belshazzar and finished it’s over. you’re weighed in the balances and you’re found lacking you got problems my friend you’re a sinner and you haven’t done anything about it your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and the Persians all right and they’re honoring Daniel oh man oh yeah they’re honoring Daniel and Belshazzar just don’t get it that night he’s going to die that. night Belshazzar was slain by Darius the Mede how did he get into that impregnable fortress he diverted the Euphrates river. He had soldiers at one end of it and the other end of it and he diverted the river and he can only divert it for so long and these soldiers went in and conquered the city just like that.
Scripture in this part
Daniel 5:25-28 (NKJV)
“And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”
— Daniel 5:25-28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:41 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Daniel 5:30 (NKJV)
That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain.
— Daniel 5:30 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:10 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How quickly can prophecy be fulfilled?
Short answer: Instantly—Belshazzar had no idea. He says don’t follow self-proclaimed prophets with timelines; watch God’s calendar.
▶ 4:35 Belshazzar had no idea that this prophecy was going to come to pass instantly. Are you there didn’t God say he’d do a quick work in the last day yeah you watch how quick it is when he gets the movement don’t don’t pay any attention these self-proclaimed prophets they give you the timeline and the all the details of the second coming you watch God’s calendar you’re going to be shocked at what’s going on pleasingly shocked amen and so God punishes the nation he used to punish the Jews now as God punishes Babylon the Jews are returned to their own kingdom and they need understanding of the times to know what is there a lot to do don’t they here they are now they’re under a new government.
How did Daniel know the captivity was ending?
Short answer: Jeremiah 29:10: after seventy years I will visit you and cause you to return. Daniel 9:2: Daniel understood by the books the number of years. It pays to read; God opened the book to one who had been reading.
▶ 5:27 Persia and Israel needs to know what to do and what to do is it’s time to return back to their nation Jeremiah 29:10 after 70 years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you I’m telling you God’s going to visit the last day church before the event it’s going to be powerful it’s going to be glorious it’s going to be amazing and perform my good word toward you all things have to be fulfilled before Christ comes again I will cause you to return to Jerusalem returned from captivity in Daniel 9:2 the first year of Darius Who took the city Darius is the one that killed Belshazzar the first year I Daniel understood by the books what books the Bible the scriptures Leviticus first Chronicles or 2nd Chronicles Jeremiah he understood by the books why because he had been reading the but.
▶ 6:42 I’ll submit to you this wasn’t the first time he read the books because in Daniel one it shows us that all these guys had understanding and knowledge they were learned they had been reading the books but now God opened the book. are you there okay you see it pays to read pays to study because when the day come God’s gonna open that book up to you yes although he didn’t open it up to the people weren’t reading they weren’t learned all right I. Understood by the books a number of years the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet that he would accomplish 70 years in the desolation of Jerusalem see he understood it now.
Scripture in this part
Jeremiah 29:10 (NKJV)
For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.
— Jeremiah 29:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:27Daniel 9:2 (NKJV)
in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
— Daniel 9:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:27How did God confirm the prophecy with a sign?
Short answer: He says God backs major prophecies with a sign. Isaiah 44:28; 45:4: God named Cyrus, his anointed, about a hundred years before his birth, to say Jerusalem shall be built and the temple’s foundation laid.
▶ 7:35 We got to understand God’s habit is to give a sign confirming major prophecies of supernatural sign always did and when prophets today give a major prophecy I look for the sign the miraculous sign because God always backed up major prophecies with a sign if they don’t have one I don’t pay any attention to them and if they do have one I’m looking for the sign did it come to pass it doesn’t come to pass if the sign didn’t come to pass the prophecy is false. It’s that simple so I don’t have to follow every nitwit out there saying thus saith the Lord amen back it up oh. Yeah. Yeah and so God names the king Cyrus.
▶ 8:29 That would free the Jews rebuild the temple and rebuild the city 100 years prior to Cyrus even being born he named him one of the seven named before birth in the Bible and two that were a long time Josiah and Cyrus were a long time between the naming and the birth are you there alleluia. Well Jesus of course but in the Old Testament he wasn’t given the name of Jesus given the name of Emmanuel God with us people say he hasn’t he isn’t God his name is Emmanuel God with us duh uh.
▶ 9:19 So sure enough in Isaiah 44:28 Cyrus is my shepherd he’ll perform all my pleasure saying to Jerusalem you shall be built and saying to the temple your foundation shall be laid this is a hundred years before Cyrus was even born thus saith the Lord in chapter 45 verse 4 of Isaiah to Cyrus his anointed who else did God called his anointed in the Bible Jesus the messiah and who else his people his ministers anointed means set apart for the masters use are you there now he says he’s set apart for my use I’ve called you by name I’ve named you though you have not known me he is a heathen king he don’t know God I don’t believe in him and yet God named him a heathen king over hundred years before he was born how many know that’s a sign now how do you know the Jews been reading their Bible and some guy over here in Persia is surrounding that city with an army and his name is Cyrus duh you’ve been reading the scripture duh hey wait man Isaiah talked about this guy and all right but when you don’t read the scriptures you just think it’s another war.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 44:28 (NKJV)
Who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd, And he shall perform all My pleasure, Saying to Jerusalem, “You shall be built,” And to the temple, “Your foundation shall be laid.” ’
— Isaiah 44:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:21Isaiah 45:4 (NKJV)
For Jacob My servant’s sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me.
— Isaiah 45:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:41Does history confirm Cyrus’s decree?
Short answer: He says the Cyrus Cylinder records the decree. 2 Chronicles 36:22–23: the Lord stirred up Cyrus’s spirit to build him a house in Jerusalem. The Bible is a supernatural book.
▶ 10:52 Are you out there and remember all the families of Issachar were mighty all in the family acted like men God blesses the family not just daddy not just mama the whole family hallelujah. So you got to understand that the Cyrus cylinder that’s the recording of the history of king Cyrus that he had put on a cylinder was found in our generation and guess what on it he said the same words the most high God told me to send the Jews back to Jerusalem to build the temple it’s right on the cylinder these people that say it’s not recorded in history they’re lying to you there is another one of Babylon that records all this stuff are you there yeah confirms don’t believe these people that say the Bible is a lie and a book of myths and there’s no backups there’s no evidence there’s way beyond evidence for the Bible then there is for any other book alleluia.
▶ 12:10 Second Chronicles 36:22 first year of Cyrus king of Persia that the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah the prophet might be accomplished. The Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus the heathen king and if he can stir the spirit of the heathen king can he stir us up absolutely that’s what I’m looking for I’m looking for the stirring in the mulberry bush how. To write a decree to make a law alright. The Lord God of heaven has charged me and this is what it says in the cylinder the most high God has charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem all you his people go up to Judah and build this house amen. Alleluia. Now that’s a God folks and the Bible is a supernatural book when it can predict things to the details let me tell you you got a supernatural God and a supernatural book I wish you’d get addicted to it alleluia.
Scripture in this part
2 Chronicles 36:22-23 (NKJV)
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying, Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. Who is among you of all His people? May the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up!
— 2 Chronicles 36:22-23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:10Why seventy years?
Short answer: Leviticus 26:33–34: I will scatter you and your land shall enjoy her Sabbaths. He explains 490 years from Saul’s kingship of neglected Sabbath years meant seventy years of captivity, one for each.
▶ 13:20 Because these truths I’m teaching you don’t come by watching tv all right you got to watch the book you got to be read and I got to do other things too don’t get me wrong I don’t spend 24 hours a day reading the Bible my wife would have my head if I did that. But it’s no problem giving Becky wife time there’s a there’s there’s rewards in it and it’ll it okay that Bible just doesn’t do certain things amen. Daniel understood the times by the books Leviticus and second Chronicles what Israel ought to do what do we do now all right Leviticus 26:27 remember and verse 33 if you do not obey me I will scatter you among the heathen by the sword your land shall be desolate and enjoy her Sabbath your cities will be laid waste this is almost 900 years before it happened see Daniel knew by the books and he knew something by the books that.
▶ 14:31 Most of you don’t know I doubt of anyone in here no I’m going to show it to you ready. Ready for this the land will enjoy her Sabbath as you know Israel was supposed to keep this every seventh year a Sabbath year they weren’t to work they weren’t to plant God would bless them in the sixth year twice as much so they would get through the seventh year I may remember that okay yeah yeah and the seventh year things that grew of itself the trees the plants whatever the poor got they got to go out and gather it see they had to work for their welfare. Are you there now. It just so happens that Daniel was told there would be 70 years in the desolation of what Jerusalem.
▶ 15:28 70 weeks you remember Jesus spent one day in the wilderness for every year Israel was in the wilderness all right he was 40 days in the wilderness Israel was forty years in the wilderness okay now watch this. seven times seventy is 490. You go back four hundred ninety years from captivity brings you to King Saul. what’s the big deal about that well King Saul was chosen to be king because they rejected God to be their king and from the time they rejected God to be their king to the last king in captivity was 490 years which God and his calendar already had.
▶ 16:32 One. For each seven years. Seventy times seven is. 490 years see they rejected God and they rejected keeping the Sabbath so God says okay and when that time comes and haven’t you know the fiftieth years was a year of jubilee alleluia. Ain’t that neat so see he already had this in his calendar he was going to give him four hundred ninety years to straighten up they didn’t so now he’s going to punish him for 70 years one for each seven years that they neglected the Sabbath. Hallelujah. That’s important because there’s a lot of things has to be done for Christ comes and we got to keep our eye on those things God has a calendar the point in time when he comes don’t let these prophets deceive you and distract you okay now.
Scripture in this part
Leviticus 26:33-34 (NKJV)
I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste. Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land; then the land shall rest and enjoy its sabbaths.
— Leviticus 26:33-34 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:18 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What did God require in captivity?
Short answer: Leviticus 26:40–42: if they confess their iniquity and their fathers’ iniquity, humble their hearts and accept punishment, I will remember my covenant. Practice saying: I admit I’m wrong.
▶ 17:48 Leviticus 26:40 if they in their captivity confess their iniquity the iniquity of their fathers. If their hearts be humbled by confessing admitting you’re wrong just admitting your own just say I admit I’m wrong I admit I’m wrong see it’s hard for a lot of you to say that a lot of you just stood there and looked at me because you’re not used to saying I’m I admit I’m wrong well let’s try it again I admit I’m wrong I admit I’m wrong see some of you still can’t do it because you have taught your mouth to stay away from that area guys if I admit I’m wrong I won’t be a man well you’re not a man because you won’t admit you’re wrong oh well.
▶ 18:43 It’s not that easy it takes humility. You got to humble yourself to say hey I was wrong all right or even if you don’t say it just correct it that’s a that’s another that’s a better way of stating it just correct it all right you say and don’t correct it look here we go again. If they accept the punishment of their iniquity then will I remember my covenant and I will remember the land are you there that’s what God said they had to do if they admit they were wrong I. Confess their fathers were wrong and accept their punishment agreed that they deserved to be punished then God would turn so Daniel read the books he understood by the books all right so we go over to.
Scripture in this part
Leviticus 26:40-42 (NKJV)
‘But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt— then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember; I will remember the land.
— Leviticus 26:40-42 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:48What did Solomon pray at the temple?
Short answer: 2 Chronicles 6:36–39: if they are carried captive and repent and say we have sinned, hear from heaven, maintain their cause and forgive. He knelt with hands raised.
▶ 19:43 Second Chronicles and we’re going to see Daniel got understanding of what to do when the times of captivity ended he understood by the what books so we’re going to go to Chronicles 2nd Chronicles 6:37 in the land where this is Solomon. He built the temple and he’s praying and he’s on his knees and his hands are raised to God a lot of us can’t even get on our knees before God we refuse to raise our hands to God and yet here Solomon is the king and he’s on his knees with his hands raised and he prays this prayer Lord if a famine comes because of the sin of your people and they pray you hear their prayer Lord if a war comes for the sins of your people and they pray Lord you hear their prayer and give him victory Lord if a plague comes because of their sin and then he comes.
▶ 20:43 When they sin and are carried away captive and in the land where they’re carried captive see he’s praying by the spirit what Leviticus said God said in Leviticus if they repent repent is do what turn from your wrong stop doing it and confess or what’s confessed mean I admit I’m wrong. Are we there yet can we say it I admit I’m wrong some of you are warming up to a powerful principle here hallelujah. We have sinned we have done wrong and have committed wickedness then God hear from heaven maintain their cause deliver them from their captivity and forgive your people we not only want forgiveness we want what deliverance we don’t want to stay into that sin we want freed from it amen.
Scripture in this part
2 Chronicles 6:37 (NKJV)
yet when they come to themselves in the land where they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to You in the land of their captivity, saying, ‘We have sinned, we have done wrong, and have committed wickedness’;
— 2 Chronicles 6:37 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:43What is God’s answer in 2 Chronicles 7:14?
Short answer: If my people humble themselves, pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear, forgive their sin and heal their land. To pray means to talk to God.
▶ 21:49 Now comes the big verse Second Chronicles 7:14 after Solomon got down on his knee lifted his hand and prayed this prayer by the spirit God comes and says I heard your prayer Solomon if my people will humble themselves humble themselves by what. Admitting the wrong let’s try it again I admit I’m wrong ready I admit I’m wrong. Alleluia we’re getting better and they pray now pray isn’t some spooky word you know. Pray just means talk when I talk to [unclear] I’m praying. They if I asked barnes a question I am pray to him I’m talking to him now he ain’t going to help me in spiritual thing so I’m not going to go to barnes oh.
▶ 23:01 That was pretty as good timing I was good. [unclear]. Who’s going to be able to help me in spiritual matters Jesus Christ see. Jesus I come to talk to you today. Okay and there are different types of prayer but they’re all talking to God. And how do you know if I want to talk to barn I don’t go up and expect him to read my mind or my face. I have to uh say it what are these Christian get I can just. [unclear] no pray means to talk say it pray means to talk pray means to talk okay it’s not some spooky thing and and you see these people on tv and all that.
Scripture in this part
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
— 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:49Why does he say the American church is in captivity?
Short answer: He says for over 30 years—secular humanism, progressive socialism, lost religious freedom—because the fathers sinned: ignoring humanism in schools, phony miracles and prophecies, the prosperity message (gain is godliness), and “any minute” predictions.
▶ 24:09 Has nothing to do with that. It has to do with talking to God all right let’s get rid of the myths. And let’s get down to the facts if they talk to me okay and turn repent from their wickedness then I will hear forgive. Their sin and heal their land powerful. And church for over 30 years the American churches have been praying for a new visitation a fresh visitation to get us out from under the slavery oh yeah. The religion of secular humanism. The politics of liberal progressive socialism. The constitution.
▶ 25:02 Religious freedom being taken away we’ve been in captivity for over 30 years it started with George Bush George Bush senior. Who. Courted. The religious right but did not give them concessions are you there then came along Clinton who only won because Ross Perot got on a third party ticket Clinton would not have won that contest. But see you can see God’s hand in these things and why did God bring the church into captivity because our fathers sinned.
▶ 25:46 They did not address the issue of the religion of secular humanism they said they would take to the schools and brainwash our kids and win them over to their religion that’s what they said they would do and our ministers and our pastors and the church was oblivious because they don’t read they don’t research and they don’t see God are you there and then church got into God was doing miracles and then they got into doing phony miracles they weren’t really miracles they were pretending they were miracles I me know that you don’t do that the prophecies got lousy they were missing them that which started genuine in the late 40s got tainted and then the prosperity message came out he blessed you serve Jesus God is going to make you rich God’s going to bless you [unclear] get ready for the Rolls Royce and that’s.
▶ 26:45 A false doctrine Paul said they teach gain is godliness depart from them and I right. Alleluia and see no one addressed these things and they were also hung up on Jesus coming any minute they predicted him coming in 60 62 64 68 72 74 78 82 and on down the line to the year 2000 and he never came and they deceived the people with this Jesus is coming in a minute and so God had to correct his church. Are you there I. Lived through that. Solomon prayed this 400 years before it happened.
Scripture in this part
1 Timothy 6:5 (NKJV)
useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
— 1 Timothy 6:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 26:49 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How did Daniel respond?
Short answer: Daniel 9: he prayed and fasted, confessing his sins and his fathers’ sins. The angel Gabriel came: I have come to give you skill and understanding.
▶ 27:38 Daniel now in Daniel 9. When he said I understood by the books see he understands what to do when the seventy years is over he starts praying to God he’s talking to God let your fury be turned away forgive our sins and our what fathers’ sins just like God said. Back there in the other books our fathers were wrong we need to ask God to forgive them we need to acknowledge that our parents have been wrong. Alleluia he knew to pray he knew how to pray and while he was praying and fasting.
▶ 28:31 You guys ever fast. Know what that. [unclear] miss my Pepsi. Fasting one day a week won’t kill you and if you start by eating breakfast in the morning and you work hard as a laborer you’ll get through the day and confessing my sin and now what he did and the sins of Israel the fathers the present generation. While he was doing this guess what the angel Gabriel showed up and he showed up and I told you when angels come they always have a method they don’t come to tickle you [unclear] they got something serious to say and most of the time they don’t even appear they just come you can feel the presence and they talked to you [unclear].
▶ 29:36 [unclear]. Are you with me [unclear].. Before you start getting messages about other people he’s going to what deal with you that’s right ain’t that good yeah and he doesn’t appear but boy you feel something don’t you you know this is God you have to turn him off you know you have to rebuke Satan or the [unclear] when it’s really God talking to you are you there. So what did the angel Gabriel inform him I am come to give you skill and understanding. The children of Israel had understanding of the times to what know what Israel ought to do the family of Issachar were strong there were warriors they they were mature solid sound people.
Scripture in this part
Daniel 9:16 (NKJV)
“O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us.
— Daniel 9:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:56 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Daniel 9:22 (NKJV)
And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand.
— Daniel 9:22 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:17 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Does this apply to captivity to sin?
Short answer: 1 John 1:9: if we confess, he is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse. The wages of sin is death, but Romans 8:2: the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
▶ 30:39 this same understanding works when in captivity to sin and Satan. Are you there. just like God can take a dead seed. Water it in the natural and it will grow and to a fruit producing. Tree yeah he can take you dead in your sins water you fertilize you with the word and you will grow you’re not going to be a mature warrior overnight or one that has understanding but you will grow into that new creature. Alleluia old things passed away all things new are you with me now to back it up first.
▶ 31:33 John 1:9 if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from what all unrighteousness is anything too hard for God to forgive and cleanse you nothing so don’t give me that stuff I’m I’m a goner. Stop being so cocky. The blood of Christ the death of Christ and his resurrection is. More powerful than any sin you can commit you got that it’s that powerful now the wages of sin is what death. Okay the payment for sin is death now watch Romans 8:2 the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death the wages of sin is death okay I’m in captivity and my sentence is execution in the lake of fire for eternity.
▶ 32:40 Got it but God made a higher law and if I will respond to the higher law the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus if I accept his death for taking my place if I accept his blood cleansing me of my sin and forgiving me of sin then the higher law cancels out the law of sin and death I am free from that captivity of sin and death are you there but what if I’m still sinning you’re still free as long as you are what. Admitting you’re wrong say it again I admit I’m wrong I admit I’m wrong.
Scripture in this part
1 John 1:9 (NKJV)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
— 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:33Romans 6:23 (NKJV)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
— Romans 6:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:11 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Romans 8:2 (NKJV)
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
— Romans 8:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:33What does the marriage illustration in Romans 7 teach?
Short answer: Romans 7:1–4: a spouse is free when the other dies; you became dead to the law through Christ’s body so you may be married to another—divorced from Satan’s kingdom and joined to the risen Jesus—to bear fruit to God.
▶ 33:33 Alleluia we’re getting good at it now there’s hope for us alleluia. So the higher law cancels out the other law if I reject this law of Christ I’m still under the captivity of the law of sin and death. In that clear. Hey man get ya outta there now he gives us an illustration in Romans 7:1 through 4 the law has dominion over man as long as he lives okay both the law of the spirit of Christ Jesus when I accept that law it has dominion over me as long as I live so Satan can’t come and say well you messed up you didn’t talk right to your wife and you messed up over here why don’t you just quit being a Christian quit being a phony I say no the spirit the law the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death I’m not going to die I’m not going to hell I am going to let God finish this good work he began in me hey man and that’s what baptism is [unclear] because in water baptism you identify with the death burial and resurrection of Christ in water baptism we all die with Christ are you there alleluia know
▶ 35:03 what also the law of sin and death has dominion over me as long as I’m alive if I don’t accept the higher law in that clear now he gives this illustration a wife is bound by law to her husband and so is the husband bound by law to the wife to stay married not go sleeping around and all that you stay married as long as that spouse lives but if that spouse dies the other spouse is free from the law in that just common sense yeah they don’t have to stay single the rest of their life they can remarry say they can marry amen and Paul also makes it clear if you’re married to an unbeliever and they want to depart that you are not under bondage in such case you know if they depart you can remarry.
▶ 36:02 Yeah it’s not your fault it’s their choices now. You have become dead to the law by way of the body of Christ. Through the body of Christ he died you died with him you become dead to what the law the law of sin and death I’m dead to the law now the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Reigns in my life even when I fail he picks me back up why because the law of the spirit of the life in Christ Jesus has set me free I’m not a captive to the law sin and death anymore I. Can get up admit I’m wrong.
▶ 37:00 Ask God to forgive me and go on and he will finish the good work he began in me you become dead to the law by the body of Christ that you may be what married to another the key word there is another if you’re going to be married to another guess what you were married to someone else. Are you getting this just trying to go slow let it sink in who were we married to now we’re not talking about a natural thing here we’re talking about a spiritual thing we were married to Satan the king of the kingdom of darkness when we do the deeds of the kingdom of darkness we are under the authority of the kingdom of darkness he is the master master of the slaves of sins the slaves and the kingdom of darkness he’s the master he’s the husband we’re married to him were united with him and so.
▶ 38:02 This spirit of the life in Christ Jesus had made me free made me dead to the law of sin and death and now I can divorce myself from Satan divorce myself from the kingdom of darkness amen divorce myself from the sins and I can marry who Jesus who God raised from the dead alleluia he’s my new husband. How many know in Revelation that there’s a marriage supper of the lamb coming it’s not going to be just by faith I’m married to him it’s going to actually happen oh yeah. That we should what bear fruit to God and he’s not going to not talking about having kids in this marriage he’s talking about what fruit of the spirit love joy peace patience long-suffering gentleness kindness meekness faith [unclear] bring forth good fruit.
Scripture in this part
Romans 7:1-4 (NKJV)
Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives? For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.

Salvation is the moment you hear the message there’s not a future season for it or a past season for it the moment you hear the message it’s the time of salvation amen so don’t give me this stuff I’m not ready.
