Believers receive two garments: power from on high and righteousness. Clean hands and hearts put us at odds with the wicked. Joshua’s companions were men wondered at, a sign of the Branch. The stone with seven eyes points to the Lamb, who removes iniquity in one day.

What two garments are given?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: Power from on high and righteousness—the bride granted fine linen.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 0:00 There’s two garments given to us. Luke 24:49, tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you be endued or clothed with power from on high. What’s he spoke speaking of there? The Holy Ghost, the outpouring, the infilling of the Holy Spirit. I don’t know why there’s such a big argument about this. It is definitely Bible. It is so clear in the Bible. This this Holy Ghost Being filled with the Holy Spirit is so clear in the Bible. That’s one of the garments. See, and what kind of clothing is it? Is it a clothing of tongues? No. Is it a clothing of prophecy? No. Tongues and prophecy comes can come when he close you.

▶ 0:52 Is it a clothing of miracles for physical healing? No. What is it a clothing of? Say the word. Power. Say the word. Power. Why do we get distracted when he describes it twice in Acts one also that it is a baptism of what? Spiritual Power. Supernatural ability and tongues come along with it. Why do we get mad at people that speak in tongues? You know, only one out of three people in Pentecostal churches speak in tongues. That’s a fact. I grew up in Pentecostal churches. And a lot of those that think they’re speaking in tongues are nothing but panamining. They’re not speaking from the source of the spirit at all. They’re just mimicking what somebody else did.

▶ 1:46 And the difference is the power behind it. I’ll never forget, I was standing in the church one day and there’s a new believer by me and this woman, a visitor, spoke in tongues. And this new believer says, “What is she doing?” And I says, “She’s pretending to speak in tongues.” The new believer looks at me and goes, “I’ll have to trust you on that one.” But see, when you have it, you know the difference. Ain’t that right? Yes. See, when you own a Cadillac, you know the difference when it seems someone driving driving up in a Buick and saying, “It’s a Cadillac.” You know what a Cadillac is? Hallelujah. Revelations 19:7, the second garment, the marriage of the lamb has come and his wife has made herself ready.

▶ 2:38 Who is his wife? The church, the bride. Okay. To her the church was granted that she should be arrayed clothed in fine linen, clean and white. For fine linen is the righteousness of the saint. He clothe us with power and he clothe us with righteousness. That’s the garments. And when we defile ourselves by doing something unrighteous, we have defiled garments on. Jesus has to change the flaw. Now folks, that’s good stuff. Can I still experience the presence of God? Absolutely. Why? Because he wants to touch that area. Now listen to this. Clean garments, new garments, defeat Satan and his followers.

▶ 3:35 James 4:7, submit to God. All right. When I submit to God, what naturally happens? I resist the Devil. When I’m following God, I’m at war with the Devil. I’m attacking the Devil. I’m opposing the Devil in the kingdom of darkness when I submit to God. And he will flee from you. See, when I draw to God, the Devil has to run because why? He can’t be in his presence. The only way Satan can be in God’s presence that’s God invites him like he did with Job. Are you there? Now, this is hot stuff. Draw an eye to God and he will what? Draw an eye to you. So, when I draw an eye to God, I’m resisting the Devil.

How do we get clean?

▶ Watch this part (4:26)

Short answer: Cleanse hands and heart; forsaking the law praises the wicked, keeping it contends with them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 4:26 Clean your hands and your heart, you sinners. My heart is my mind and my emotions. When I get into the word and I start listening like Peter said to things that are of a good report, the things that are profitable, I am cleansing my mind. When I get into the word, I cleanse my hands. Those are those acts of sin, acts of intoxication, those sinful things that I do. That’s my behavior. My body is carrying it out. And so when I cleanse my mind and my lifestyle, I what? Resist the Devil and overcome him. And God said, “I will bruise Satan under your feet after 70 years.”. No. What? Shortly. He said, “It don’t take much time for me to get Satan under your feet and defeated.” Can I hear an amen?

▶ 5:18 Amen. So when these people give a testimony, well, Satan’s following me and probably say it. Man, what kind of God you serving? He gives us victory over Satan isn’t following me. Jesus is following me. Hallelujah. Proverbs 24:8, “They that forsake the law praise the wicked.” When Christians disobey the word. When they sin, what are they doing? Giving honor to the kingdom of darkness and giving honor to the followers who follow the kingdom of darkness. See, when I get on Monday Night Football and get a six-ack of beer and invite my friends over and we curse and drink and get high and and do all these things or I get uh we go to a party where there’s been drinking from a tube and you know we got naked girls all over the place and sex is free and all that and I call myself a Christian.

▶ 6:17 It doesn’t work. When I forsake the law, I praise. I give honor to the wicked. I’m saying it’s okay. I’m approving them. So if my lifestyle is approving it, how can I give the gospel message to bring them out of sin? Amen. But such as keep the law, contend with them. When I obey God’s word, I’m at war with Satan, the kingdom of darkness, and everyone that’s following me. I’m in a war. I’m in a conflict with them. And that’s why they don’t like me. That’s why these people wanted to beat me up a week or so ago, a couple weeks ago, when I was witnessing to them. You know, I I told them, I said, “You think you’re going to heaven because you’re a conservative?

▶ 7:11 Because you’re conservative and you’re Republican and you stand against homosexuality and abortion. You think you’re going to heaven? I said, my friend, he said, well, how do you know that? I said, I’ve been talking to you for 2 hours. I know what camp you’re in. I said, just because you voted Republican doesn’t mean a hill of beans to God. I said, you got to repent. You get intoxicated. That’s wrong. You’re going to hell. And what comes with intoxication is violence. You get in fights. And what also comes with intoxication is sexual permissance. If you have gone out on your wife, man, he got mad. See, when we say we’re Christians, cuz he he adamantly had told him, “I’m going to heaven just like you are.” Are you there, church?

▶ 8:12 When we break God’s word, we’re praising the wicked. When we obey it, we are in conflict with them. In the New Testament, he that doeth righteousness is. Right. Hallelujah. So, the garments are important, aren’t they? The garments are important. That’s why his presence comes. And that’s why the Pentecostal, the charismatic, the spiritfilled churches, in spite of their flaws and mistakes, they invite that presence in and God comes and changes lives. People are getting delivered from alcoholism and sexual addiction and and homosexuality and and and drug addicts and and and all this stuff that they’re actually getting delivered and set free. They don’t have to go through a 12step procedure.

▶ 9:07 God comes and walks them through their deliverance. Verse seven, if you walk in my ways and keep my charge, then you shall also judge my house and my and keep my courts, and I’ll give you places to walk among these that stand by. Who’s these? The people with undefiled garments, mature Christians, those that have grown through and walk with God and live for God. Hallelujah. See, you can be one. You don’t have to be a minister. You don’t have to be You can be a believer that walks undefiled and other people will want to walk with you. See, I’ll give you places to walk amongst those undefiled.

▶ 10:03 See, you can get that area of your life changed and you can become one of them. Can I hear an amen? Isn’t that a powerful offer? Yeah. It’s not just going to heaven. It’s having heaven down here. Now, I have a picture here of Herod’s temple. I’m going to blow it up. The magic of technology. Herod’s temple was not like Solomon’s temple or Moses’s tabernacle. Herod’s temple built by man had the inner court up here where the main temple is where only the priests could go. And then it had the outer court where only Israel could go, Israel men and women undefiled.

▶ 10:59 And then it had the court of women, undefiled Israeli women. Like if they were in their monthly period, they couldn’t go in. Okay? That they didn’t have enough sense to know that that was a shadow law. That woman’s period, defiling her and all that was a shadow law. Had nothing to do with not having, you know, abstaining from sex during a period or whatever. Are you there? It’s just an illustration. And so, but Jews never got it. Just like Christians today, we’re not getting a lot of this, are we? Now, we hear the same old nonsense over and over and over. Get saved, wait for the rapture, and go to heaven. And we don’t know how to be powerful in this life.

Who are men wondered at?

▶ Watch this part (11:52)

Short answer: People who are a miracle—a sign of the Branch, the Word who is Jesus.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 11:52 And then they had the Gentiles court. That’s as far as the Gentiles could go. But in Moses’s tabernacle in Solomon’s temple, there were only two courts. The holy place was the inner court where only priests could go. And the outer court was outside the holy place where everybody could come in, including Gentiles, and offer sacrifices to God, get cleansed from their sin and so forth. You understand? How many courts originally were there? Two inner and outer. We How many know the church adds things? Yeah. And when we add things, it separates people, doesn’t it? Yeah. Now, keep my courts.

▶ 12:45 The out inner court and the outer court is what we keep the sacrifices. And we go in to minister to God in a holy of holies. We do both because we’re priests. Now hear now, oh Joshua the high priest and your fellows that sit before you. Now we’re going to show you what God’s powerful display of restoration is. You ready? In this verse, he’s going to show us his powerful display of restoration. Restoring people from a sinful life to a righteous life. All right. Here now, oh Joshua the high priest and your fellows. Who are the fellows? Them that stood with before him. Okay, the undefiled. Okay, Joshua, you and your fellows that sit before you, for they are men.

▶ 13:36 They are people. They’re not just men. They are people wondered at. The word wonder is a miracle. It’s a miracle. A miracle that displays and gets people’s attention to want what that miracle did. Are you there? It’s not wondered at like I wonder what’s happening. No, that’s the real word is miraculous. A miracle. A display of a miracle that shows God’s power that causes people to want that thing. How many would like people to look at you and want what you have? I will bring forth my servant the branch.

▶ 14:27 Who’s the branch? I showed you a couple weeks ago who the branch was. Jesus. Okay. I will bring forth my servant the branch. He’s the miracle worker here. See, when Allah says when people say Allah does miracles, they’re lying through their teeth. Only Jesus can do the miracle of salvation. Only Jesus can do the miracle of divine healing, mind healing, and all the rest supernaturally. He’s the only one that’s given the authority and power in the earth to do that. Anything else is a mimic. Does Satan imitate himself as an angel of light? Yeah. He acts like he’s telling you, right? And he’s not. So Jesus is the one doing this miracle. Now watch First Peter 1:23. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible by the word of God, which lives and abides in you forever.

▶ 15:21 Now, who is the word of God? Jesus. John 1:1. In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, and the word was God. And the word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. Who births us again? Jesus. What does he use to birth us again? His word. See, I keep telling people, you can’t separate the Bible from Jesus Christ. He is the word. 2 Chronicle uh Corinthians 5:17, if any man be in Christ, he is a what? New creature, new creation, new person. Old things are what? Passed away. What are the old things? My sinful ways.

▶ 16:13 That’s the miracle of restoration that gets people’s attention. That’s the display. Behold, all things are become new. Romans 6:6, our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve sin. Our old man, see, we are a new man. But our old man, that sinful man, when we go get baptized, we are identifying with the death, burl, and resurrection of Christ on the cross. He cleans us of sin. We go into the gra into the water. We go into the grave and we’re dead to sin. We come out like he did by the resurrection power of the spirit, a new creature.

Is baptism just a sign?

▶ Watch this part (17:07)

Short answer: No—a principle; follow Christ, not brother so-and-so.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 17:07 Baptism is very important. It’s not an outward sign of an inward work. It is a principle that brings power to your life if you understand it. Can I hear an old me or an amen or something? See, water baptism is very important. Ephesians 4:22, put off the former behavior of the old man. Okay. Now, here it tells you what the old man is, a corrupt to the deceitful lust. He’s a person that follows his lust. And put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Colossians 3:8-12. Put off anger. Here’s the old man. Anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication.

▶ 18:02 See, shameful talk, dirty talk. How many of you know Christians that use profanity and talk dirty and say dirty jokes just like everybody else? Yeah. He says, “No, that’s the old man. We put that stuff off.” See, you put off sexual immorality. You put off intoxication. You put off these things. Why? You are a new creature. And who’s going to help you do it? The branch Jesus. Yes. And his word. Lie not. Seeing you have put off the old man with his deeds. Put on the new man. So when we lie, it’s the old man. The new man is renewed in the knowledge after the image of Christ. He is looking to be like Christ. Not like his pastor, not like his wife. He’s looking to be like who?

▶ 18:55 Christ. Not somebody in the church. When people say, “Well, brother so and so does this.” What does that got to do with anything? We are to follow who? Jesus Christ. You see, put on mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, love, meekness, patience, self-control, and forgiveness. Hallelujah. Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Self-control is what will keep you from sexual immorality, intoxication, unrestraint living, self-control, patience, Bible morality, a display of Jesus’s restoration power. When people see us living the Bible, then they can get a desire for this Jesus in the Bible.

▶ 19:50 Hallelujah. When we just say we’re Christians and we live just like we did before, and I’m not talking about baby Christians. I’m talking about Christians like three years old in God or so, have not been taught, not grown up, not being changed. It doesn’t help the kingdom. Now in closing verse nine, the stone I have laid before Joshua. Upon one stone shall be seven eyes. Okay. One stone has how many eyes? Seven eyes. And it’s before Joshua. The priest. Who are the priests? We are. All right. Jesus Christ is the stone with seven eyes. Revelations 5:6. In the midst of the throne stood of the lamb as as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the what?

What is the stone with seven eyes?

▶ Watch this part (20:43)

Short answer: The Lamb and the seven spirits of God—He removes iniquity in one day.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 20:43 Which are the what? Seven spirits of God. So, who’s the lamb that has seven eyes? And who’s the stone? Jesus. Matthew 12:10. Jesus is the headstone that the chief builders rejected. So, he’s the stone that has seven eyes. And those seven eyes express what? Seven spirits of God. So what are the seven spirits of God? Isaiah 11:2. All right. See, when Jesus comes into your life, he comes in with three seven expressions. The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him. That’s the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I will pour out my spirit, the spirit of the Lord, upon all flesh. Okay, are you here, church?

▶ 21:37 All right. Number two, the spirit of wisdom. My Lord, how many could use wisdom? Yes. Spirit of wisdom, the spirit of understanding, the spirit of counsel, the spirit of might or strength. He will strengthen me to live for him. The spirit of knowledge and the spirit of the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil and depart from evil. Yeah, that’s what the fear of the Lord is. You have a hatred for evil and you don’t walk in evil. How many could use that kind of Jesus? See, most people don’t know they have that kind of Jesus. See, when you don’t know what’s in your refrigerator, you can’t go get it. When you don’t know what’s in the storage pantry of your house, how you going to get it stuck over in the corner behind everything else that you use all the time?

▶ 22:39 Our spiritual storehouse is filled with faith and grace, prosperity. We got all kinds of that on our shelf. And behind it is some great things like wisdom, knowledge, understanding, strength. Isn’t that true? And we need to clean our shelf out. You don’t need a lot of one thing. You need a little of everything. Now, that’s a good statement. Hallelujah. Now, I will engrave the engraving and remove the iniquity of the land in one day. Hebrews 10:6. This is the covenant, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their heart and in their minds will I write or inscribe or engrave them. See, so what’s the engraving?

▶ 23:32 The word of God in where? Our mind. See, he will open your understanding to understand the scriptures. All shall know me. This is the new covenant. Not just the pope and the priest and the pastor. Everybody will know Jesus and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Why? Because he died on the cross and in one day he removed iniquity. That day he died. He removed all iniquity. Are you there? So when I come to him with my floth, what will he do? He will cleanse it away. I don’t have to do pendants. I don’t have to crawl on my knees like I see these Catholic people doing in third world countries and beating themselves and and you know trying to do something to get God’s deliverance.

Revelation 5:6 (NKJV)

What follows deliverance?

▶ Watch this part (24:30)

Short answer: The cross delivers; everyone under his vine and fig tree, protected by God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 24:30 No, the cross delivers us. The blood delivers us. I go back to that one day. That one day deliverance was made for the whole world and me and my flaws. When I fall, that day is still the day that my sin is forgiven if I confess it and ask him to forgive me. Isn’t that powerful? Hallelujah. So, see, no matter where you’re at, no matter what level of Christianity you’re at, God is out to make you a display of his restoration. And in some areas you are now. In other areas you’re not. But he wants you to be completely restored and in every area be a display for him. In that day, says the Lord of hosts, shall you call every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.

▶ 25:25 Well, what does that mean? Duh. Well, well, First Kings 4:25, Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree. God wants to bring you to a place where you are completely safe in the outcome of your life from following Christ in Solomon’s temple, in Solomon’s reign. God had blessed the nation, put the fear of the enemies on all the nations, they wouldn’t touch Solomon. And every man dwelt what? Safely. They had the natural needs and they had the spiritual needs met.

▶ 26:17 And they knew that no matter what come, God was going to protect them. God was going to keep them safe while they grew in God. And when they grew up, God would keep them safe to help others grow in God. Hallelujah. See, once saved, always saved is almost a true doctrine. It’s just there’s some strings attached. You got to obey him. You got to admit you’re wrong. You got to let God keep changing you. Hallelujah, folks. That’s powerful. See, God, what’s he saying? I’m not going to give up on you. I’m not going to give up on you, on you, on you, on you. You keep coming to me, I’ll keep changing you. And when I do, you will be able to affect change in others.

▶ 27:16 Bible morality, it’s a covenant guarantee of safekeeping. God is guaranteeing if you will follow him and stay honest before him like David of old. I was young and now I’m old and I’ve never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed out begging for bread. It happened in the Old Testament. It happens in the New Testament. God has promised to keep you. Isn’t that beautiful? Even in a bad economy, he will make a way for you. And it’s got nothing to do with this prosperity preaching, but God said he’ll restore us out of those things. And his display of restoration of his miracles, of his mighty power, is you growing to maturity and living a lifestyle that expresses coming out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of light.
