Restoration Implosion Part 2: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
The second generation didn’t help; diligence means hard work, not talk. Ezra prepared his heart to seek, do and teach God’s law. Laws should treat others rightly; Christians should stop blaming and engage, trusting God to turn leaders as He placed Esther for such a time.
What did the second generation fail to do?
Short answer: Help—what is diligence? Hard work, not talk; a wise man is a man of few words.
▶ 0:00 Neither did the second generation coming up do anything to help those people. And there’s some other people coming up next week. There’s some other neglected people, but this week we’re dealing with Babylon. All right. Implosion. Now, let’s take a look at what Ezra accomplished in captivity. All right. He’s not He didn’t have a part in building the house of God. Wasn’t in that great move of God 80 years ago, but he made some good decisions. Here’s Ezra. This is what he This is what he did. He was a ready verse 7:6. He was a ready, a quick, skillful, diligent scribe of the words, laws, and statutes of the Lord.
▶ 0:56 Now, how many know what the word diligent means? Hard work. Say it. Hard work. Not just work. Hard, consistent work. Not one of these guys that shows up late and takes five water breaks a day and 12 cigarette breaks and all the rest. No. A diligent person is one that works hard and consistent to uh accomplish what he set out to do. And they get skillful. All right. And they get quick. They can do things quicker. I was so fast when I was a mechanic that I had to send people home. I had to say we’re too busy because I could do break jobs, tuneups, and all this stuff so quick, way beyond the book hours that they would have knocked me over the head knowing that I charged them the book price and did it for about a third of the time.
▶ 2:01 See, but when you keep doing things, you get good, especially when you have mechanical ability. All right, you get the get the picture. Yeah. See, why can’t some people be in their own business? They’re too slow. I have tried to help many of businessmen and they’re just too slow. They shouldn’t be in business. They’d be better off working for somebody because they they’re just not businessminded. Are you with me? And and that’s not a put down. We just got to accept who we are. All right. And a businessman have to be self-disciplined. You can’t there and stand there and chew the fat with customers for 20 minutes every time one comes in. You got to keep that assembly line moving, man. Are you with me? And some of us can’t get past the talk thing. Talk doesn’t get the car fixed.
▶ 2:58 Are you with me? And talk doesn’t solve spiritual confusion. A wise man is a man of few words. Why? He’s in the word. He knows what to say. He says it and he shuts up. If they don’t believe it when he says the thing the first time, he knows they’re not going to believe it. He stands there and gives all these. Are you with me? All right. That he was in the words of God, the scriptures, the laws of God and the statutes. The statues are basically the uh uh shadow laws, the laws and the ceremonies that illustrated the truth to come. It’s used almost over 90% of the time for those kind of laws. There’s no penalty for those laws. You know, you you don’t get stoned if you break them or anything.
▶ 3:51 Laws incorporate civil laws, which you do. And should be punished and corrected for for violating because you did something to hurt someone or hurt yourself or hurt your family. Then there’s wise laws. You see, a wise law is wine is mockery, strong drink is raging, and he that gives himself to it is not wise or is a fool. And you don’t pay the price for drinking and getting intoxicated until you commit the adultery, steal somebody, beat somebody up. Then you broke the civil law. So the wise person would what? Shun alcohol. See, he says in Proverbs, he that lookth on the wine when it’s red in the cup, he will go after loose women.
Scripture in this part
Proverbs 10:19 (NKJV)
In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.
— Proverbs 10:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:58How did Ezra prepare?
Short answer: He prepared his heart to seek, do and teach the law—a good work attitude.
▶ 4:51 See, it brings your moral standard out, your inhibitions down, and then you go visit prostitutes and loose women and you know and violence. It goes on to say violence and woe and all that. So a wise person, what a wise law is to avoid. Let me give you another wise law. There is plenty in the house of the wise, but the fool spends everything he has. Now, they’re not going to lock you up in jail for spending everything you got. But when you go to rob somebody that has something that you want, then you’re going to wind up where? In jail. And when a a financial crisis comes along and you haven’t saved, you’re not going to get through that financial crisis without borrowing and getting in debt.
▶ 5:46 And then comes another wise law. The borrower is a slave to the lender. Verse 10, let’s look at what Ezra did to attain to this kind of a scribe. See, a skillful person in the word of God. Let’s look at what he did, okay? He just worked six days a week, stayed home on Sundays, and watched TV all day. And is that what he did? No, he prepared. He prepared. He made a goal. I’m going to get to know God’s word. I’m going to learn God’s word. I’m going to set aside time and I am going to set a goal to get God’s word understanding in my life.
▶ 6:40 He prepared himself and then he didn’t just say like we did last Sunday, you know, how many are going to spend one hour a day for God? We raise our hands and then Monday we sleep in. No, he backed up his preparation. He backed up his promise, his goal, his plan to seek the law of the Lord. Okay? When you seek something like you seek for gold, you get the equipment and you take your donkey in the old days out into the desert and you go looking for you spend time looking for this treasure. Amen. So he did it. He applied his goal. Then theory is he did the law of the Lord.
▶ 7:31 When he learned you’re supposed to pray, he prayed. When he learned you’re supposed to worship, he worshiped. When he learned you were supposed to work six days a week, he worked. That would be a novelty in America today. In it. This younger generation, they don’t want to go from the bottom up. They want to go in and be the president of the bank, you know. Mom and dad has raised them so richly. They think they’re going to start with that lifestyle. But you’re going to start from the bottom and what? Work up just like your mom and dad did. How old? Now, I don’t care if you got a college degree or not. You’re going to start at the bottom. Now, the bottom can be a little higher than some areas of the bottom, but you still got to start at the bottom.
▶ 8:27 And if you’re not a good worker and keep maintaining that work attitude, you’re not going to advance. In other words, you can’t come home and play Nintendo games and watch sports and not keep up to date on the area of your job skill. You got to keep reading books. You got to and some of us have to go, you know, doctors have to keep going back to college to learn and these conferences to learn the update things that’s that’s changing. Are you with me? Amen. Now, that was good stuff for you youngans. America’s in a very lazy mentality right now. The Bible says only hard work brings profit. Hallelujah. So he did it and then he taught it.
▶ 9:21 He didn’t keep it within himself. And see this was the problem that these first restored people had. They kept it to themselves. They were just going to church, you know, you know, singing, praising, hallelujah, woo, Jesus, my Passover. Hallelujah. Not into the word. Never spoke the word to anybody. He didn’t have nothing to say. Oh, we know every TV show. Some of these men know every player on every team in every area of sports, whether it’s baseball, football, or basketball. And they don’t know beans about the word. And if they do, they never share it. So what good is it? So he taught the statues.
Scripture in this part
Ezra 7:10 (NKJV)
For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.
— Ezra 7:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:40What are judgments?
Short answer: Laws to treat others; taxes; the 90s school voucher chance.
▶ 10:23 I already told you what they were. And the judgments, judgments again are laws to treat others. And if you don’t treat others right, there was a penalty. There was a punishment for not doing it. Okay, that’s the start of a new restoration without the help of the first people who had the message and didn’t apply it. Think about that. Now continuing what Ezra accomplished in captivity. You ready? Ezra 7:12. Ard Xerxes is now king. About 80 years have gone by. And this government, this heathen, this heathen government, ungodly government, made a law that all, how many?
▶ 11:23 All could return to Jerusalem of their own free will with Ezra. The Babylonians, the Persians that there, they could have came. Anybody that wants to go and serve the God and and and and minister to this temple again is free to go. The government passed the law. The king and his counselors, his cabinet, contributed their own money to the mission. And this is going to really get my fundamentalist brethren who really hindered vouchers, school vouchers in the 90s. Our deserts set aside some taxes for the mission to build to beautify to repair the house of God.
▶ 12:23 Taxes. And I told you before in the ‘90s we had a good chance of getting school vouchers. That means we could apply $5,000 a year to any school we wanted to. Private, public, whatever. Now they were getting at that time 7,500 but they gave us twothirds of it. Are you there? But the fundamentalist they had this thing in their head that if you take taxes from government they’re going to control you. They’re going to rule you. They’re, you know, all these strings attached. We don’t want anything to do with government. And I said to them, what do you do with these verses? And I also said to them, “How many of you have rejected your tax exemption as a minister?” Somebody went, “Yeah, but when you are so hard-nosed on something, you can’t hear.” And we lost because we imploded within.
▶ 13:34 Christians were believing a lie. I told him this. Listen, I can handle the government if they come after me on that side of the bridge. What I need right now is a relief on these family homes, these Christian homes to get their kids kids into Christian education. Amen. I can cross the other bridge when I get across this one. And we lost that thing and we haven’t had a good chance at it since. Can God turn America’s government around? Is my point. Yes. This government that we’re so angry at and everybody’s so talking about, can God, when somebody decides to seek him, to prepare themsself to live it, and to learn it, can God move our government? Yes.
Who is to blame?
Short answer: Quit blaming Obama, Democrats and liberals—can God turn America’s government to righteous Christians?
▶ 14:25 So, we got to quit blaming Obama and the Democrats and the liberals who are the main source of this problem. But we forget that our lack of knowledge is also a source of this problem. And America’s sin in the church is also a source of this problem. And we’re wanting Obama and the Democrats and the Liberals and the Rhino Republicans to straighten their act up. But we got to what? Straighten our act up because we’re part of the problem. Boy, that was good. I had done my homework in the 90s. Anybody that knows me knows I did. I’m the one that presented the plan to make this thing work. I went to the California state government.
▶ 15:18 I learned what they were doing. I had my information and they kicked me out of my own plan because I was a tongue talker. When they found out I was a tongue talker, they wouldn’t have anything to do. It was my plan. Am I right, Donna? Yeah. Everybody else was asleep. And why am I telling you this stuff? So we don’t repeat the errors of yesterday. Do we need the fundamentalists? Do we need the tongue talkers? Do we need the Catholics? Yes. We need to unite and win this thing for righteousness, Bible morality. Hallelujah. He exempted all temple workers from paying tax.
▶ 16:12 And I like that. I like that. Yeah. Listen to this. We’re in a separation of church and state right now. If you’re a Christian and you try to use the Bible, they shut you up and say it’s a book of faith. Can’t use the Bible. You can’t go on Christian morals. You’re not allowed to. But look at this. When Ezra prepared himself in these areas, look what God did. Doesn’t the Bible say that the hand of the king is in the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord and he turns it wheroever he will. Doesn’t it say that? But why did he turn it? Because one man decided to seek God’s word, Ezra. So God comes in and what? Turns the government to his favor.
▶ 17:05 And Ezra by now had won thousands of these children, this new generation to the new restoration. And so the king, look at this, the king who would never have anything to Jewish leaders before now say he he says he made the Jews that knew God’s laws. You see Ezra was teaching them. Are you getting this? They listened and the king could recognize they also knew the word of God. And so he made these Jews that knew God’s laws magistrates judges to teach the laws and punish violators by death, banishment, confiscation of goods, or prison.
▶ 17:58 Wow. Can God turn the heart of America’s government back to righteous Christians who know God’s word, that stand for Bible mority, uh uh uh morality. Yeah. Can he turn this thing around,. Church? He can and he will. If one man can bring this in Babylon, can a small church like us bring it in America? Hallelujah. In America, we’re so busy fighting over stupid doctrines instead of the real thing that we need to reach, Bible morality. Hallelujah. Now, is this an answer for the church today in America?
▶ 18:54 Yes. But we got to take on the character of the res restoration people and the character of Ezra. We got to listen to teachers that’s really teaching the word of God. And we got to get away from these flatterers. Is that an amen? We don’t like to hear it. See, Bible morality is unpopular. See, Bible morality is unpopular both with Christians and I’m preparing uh sheets of information on this facts along with scripture. Bible morality is unpopular both with Christian and non-Christians. But the results are immeasurable, irrefutable. See, the results is what we need, isn’t it?
Scripture in this part
Proverbs 21:1 (NKJV)
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.
— Proverbs 21:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:58What does Esther show?
Short answer: Restored people made leaders under rulers who don’t know God—respond to God and risk your life.
▶ 19:56 And so here, these restored people are made leaders in government who don’t even like our God. So, you know, watch Don’t get me wrong, the liberals are still a problem in America. So are the atheists and so are the homosexuals. But so are we. See, when we’re not standing up, talking between one another isn’t going to win this battle. You know, I presented these new facts to several people this week outside this church to get their input. One of them is good, the others dodge the tomatoes. See, they don’t want to restrain themselves.
▶ 20:48 They don’t want to discipline their life. But Bible morality is what’s going to bring great success in an individual’s life, a family’s life, and a nation’s life, and the church’s life. Can I can that be an amen? Absolutely. Now the king sent these people to beautify the house of the Lord in Jerusalem. Now if the house of the Lord wasn’t beautiful then what was it? In disrepair. They had not maintained the house of God. 80 years have gone by and they haven’t maintained the house of God. So now God moves on these people still in Babylon, the second generation, restores them and is going to send them to beautify, repair, adorn the house of God that the first group and their generation, the second generation has neglected.
▶ 21:59 Hallelujah. It’s like Esther. Mordecai told Esther, “If you don’t respond to God and put your life on the line and go to the king for the people of God, God will raise up somebody else, but you will pay the price.” See, God will raise up somebody. And that’s what he did with Ezra. He raised up somebody that set their heart to seek him, to find truth, and he blessed them. They He He had a mega church over there. There’s 3,000 almost listed in Ezra chapter 8 that came with him. And then there’s groups that aren’t listed with a number. So, we don’t know. And then they had children that are never counted. So, there’s thousands.
▶ 22:49 He’s got a mega church on the move. They’re going to move from one place to another. Hallelujah. Now, we got the second step of implosion. They didn’t get the word out to those who needed to hear it and they didn’t maintain what they had and they imploded. They fell apart.
