Pastor David G. Kincer teaches redemption from Israel’s deliverance out of Egypt, a parable of Christ. He walks through biblical servanthood—theft, debt, poverty, six-year limits, the death penalty for kidnapping—and the servant who said “I love my master.” We are redeemed from sin’s slavery to serve Jesus forever, bought with a price, and sent to open others’ eyes.

What does it mean that God redeemed Israel?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: To redeem is to pay a ransom, rescue and deliver. Deuteronomy 13:5: the Lord brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of bondage. Deuteronomy 26:8: with a mighty hand, great terribleness, signs and wonders—ten plagues, ending with the death of Egypt’s firstborn as the ransom.

▶ 0:00 Israel we’re going to go to Israel and God redeeming them from egyptian slavery. Okay redeem it means to give a ransom payment or to rescue all right Jesus my redeemer is my rescuer my deliverer and he paid the price for my redemption okay to get me out of the situation I am in so Israel is in Egypt and after two hundred and some years of being there the Pharaoh decided these people are growing too big they they were multiplying and also Egyptians were being converted over Egyptians and Hebrews were marrying each other and when Moses brought in the plagues a lot of Egyptians gravitated to Israel they and the Bible is called the mixed multitude wasn’t just full-blooded Israelites that came out of Egypt one of these people saw the plagues and so what God did hundreds of thousands joined Israel and so the mixed multitude came out with God’s people and about that was about two and a half million people and so in Deuteronomy 13:5 it tells us the Lord your God brought you out of the land of Egypt.

▶ 1:26 And redeemed you out of the house of bondage. Okay. God redeemed them he rescued them he paid the ransom price and bondage there means slavery they were slaves they were being mistreated and asked to do things that were beyond their capability even do so we got to ask our question of God redeemed Israel out of Egypt what did he do how did he redeem Israel. From egyptian slavery. In Deuteronomy 26:8. The Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand with great terribleness with great signs and great wonders.

Scripture (NKJV)

Deuteronomy 13:5 (NKJV)

But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst.

Deuteronomy 26:8 (NKJV)

How does the Exodus picture Christ?

▶ Watch this part (2:23)

Short answer: Christ came with signs and wonders, laid down his life—his body died while his spirit lived—and rose; the sign of Jonah, three days in the heart of the earth. He is the firstborn and only begotten Son. He brings the redeemed into a land of milk and honey—his word and his kingdom of law and order.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:23 In fact God brought 10 plagues upon Egypt. But he rescued them with great signs and great wonders from the turning of the water to blood to the flies to the frogs to the boils to the darkness and consummated it with the death of the firstborn the firstborn of Egypt paid the ransom. For Israel coming out of Egypt now that is significant because Jesus said what I don’t speak anything to them except in parables illustrations. Metaphors.

▶ 3:08 Right and so the parable of metaphor here in Egypt is Christ coming to the earth did he do great signs and wonders yes he did he healed the sick he raised the dead he walked on water did he lay down his life because he’s God you can’t kill him did he lay down his life see that is a great wonder the physical body of Christ died but the spirit lived just like us we die and go to the grave but our spirit what lives on and the moves of them and some of these people just got it all wrong when they say Christ didn’t die on the cross because he was God he couldn’t die on the cross his body died on the cross just like your body will die but your spirit will keep on living oh yeah but the wonder and the sign and Jesus said there’s no sign given to men except the sign of the prophet Jonah who was three days and three nights in the whale in the belly of the whale you see and so he says as Jonah was that in that condition the son of man will be in the heart of the earth or three days amen so we’re told of these great parables back in the Bible shadow laws they’re called also that illustrate Christ so Christ came did

▶ 4:38 great signs and wonders died on the cross rose the miraculous wonder that body his spirit went back into that body that body became alive without blood. See he had an immortal body now he didn’t need blood and he didn’t need a heart pumping anything and so forth am I right yeah and so we have these tremendous illustrations and Jesus gives us the picture of his redeeming power through Israel being redeemed from Egypt and he is the firstborn of God in that right and he is the only begotten of God in that right see he wasn’t born of a human man he was born between a relationship with God and Mary he is the firstborn and the only begotten son of God and anybody that takes away from that turn away from him.

▶ 5:42 Hallelujah don’t compromise truth the truth is what set you free and heals you and so. He did it with great terribleness great signs great wonders and the Egyptians firstborn paid the ransom and he didn’t just redeemed them he didn’t just buy them and purchase them and rescue them to leave them there [unclear] he brought them into the land flowing with milk and honey now I don’t have time to go into this but these are the sincere milk of the word. Okay. God said I will feed you with honey from the rock who was the rock Jesus yes and the honey is the word also and so. He give us a kingdom that’s governed as one of the candidates said this week we have to have a nation of law and order and we got to keep law and order well we inherit a kingdom that has law and order amen and it’s his word can I hear an amen it’s the Bible that is the defining decision what does the Bible set.

Does the Bible advocate slavery?

▶ Watch this part (7:02)

Short answer: He answers those, including President Obama, who say it does. Israel had no prisons: a thief who couldn’t repay was sold to work off his debt (Exodus 22:3). Debt could bring servitude—a prophet’s widow faced losing her sons to a creditor (2 Kings 4:1). The poor could sell themselves and retain the right of redemption (Leviticus 25:47–49).

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 7:02 Hallelujah. So with that in mind they were slavery redeemed from. So the object of redemption is slavery we’re going to talk about slavery and what does the Bible say about slavery and you better tune in your ears here are. People out there including president Barack Obama. That says the Bible advocates slavery I got videos of it all right and other prominent people and a lot of the church world because they don’t know their Bible. Believe it but I want to show you what the Bible says about slavery today amen. Clearly.

▶ 7:55 Number one you were sold into slavery the real word is servant servant hood alright that’s that’s the real meaning here if a thief is caught he’s got to make restitution he’s got to pay back more than he stole and if he can’t pay it back he in Exodus 20:23 shall be sold for his theft he was sold to someone in the community who oversaw him until he worked off his debt you see Israel didn’t have prisons they didn’t just put thieves in prison when you put a thief in prison you take away the provider of the home. So what’s a home gonna do now are you there.

▶ 8:55 And so God had cities of safety if someone accused you of murder or so forth or some crime worthy of capital punishment you could go to that city so the judges could. Investigate the situation get the witnesses. Drill them make sure they are true witnesses and no one could touch you but when you’re in the city you can work you can feed yourself and you can feed your family. And is that pretty good logic. Alleluia. Anyway the thief was sold to someone in the land who took charge to him and he worked his theft off and when he did he was free to go number two paying back a debt okay borrowed money got into debt didn’t work out bad things happen or the idea that he thought would work didn’t work and he owed this person money and then God’s law you pay your debts and they’re right so in second Kings 41 a prophet of God head of the house so the prophet of God preaching the word died.

▶ 10:13 Here’s a here’s a prophet here’s a man of God died and he left his family in debt. how many know that goes on in America yeah. We can’t buy a [unclear] that we can afford that’s 10 years old we gotta buy the latest design out and pay up a car payment that’s half of a house payment I need some of these people young marrieds are the dumbest marrieds there is. They’ll spend money on these expensive things instead of saving their money to do the right thing to have security in the future hallelujah so this guy did and he’s a prophet he’s a man of God where is his head and so the creditor come to take the widow’s two sons to be his slave is it.

▶ 11:20 That creditor had the right to be paid the creditor has a right to be paid and so this person was going to take her son’s and that’s a big error on a man of God a prophet. Bigger. Number three poverty. Leviticus 25:47 if a rememba comes for and sells himself who sold him himself. He’s poor he can’t make it so he goes and he asks someone in the nation to purchase him so he can eat and his family can eat and he works off the purchase but he retains the right of redemption after he has sold himself so at any time he can ransom himself you see or a relative can ransom him and he’s free now.

One of his brothers may redeem him; or his uncle or his uncle’s son may redeem him; or anyone who is near of kin to him in his family may redeem him; or if he is able he may redeem himself.

How long did servanthood last?

▶ Watch this part (12:23)

Short answer: Deuteronomy 15:12: a Hebrew servant serves six years, and in the seventh goes free—a practical rule for both sides.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:23 Deuteronomy 15:12 if a Hebrew man or woman be sold into you for six years in the seventh year you shall let him go free the time period of servanthood was how long six years in the seventh year they went what free so you’re only going to get this guy for six years. How many know that’s a reasonable rule. That way the person that’s going to do it need to know he can get his money back in that six year period and so that’s the chain of economics if he’s really in debt he’s going to have to latch on to a more wealthy guy that can get the money out of him in a short period of time then a non wealthy guy that really don’t have a lot of work to do and he’s not going to get his money back but he can still do it you understand isn’t that a practical approach.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Deuteronomy 15:12 (NKJV)

“If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you.

What if the servant loved his master?

▶ Watch this part (13:25)

Short answer: Exodus 21:5–6: if the servant says, I love my master, I will not go out free, his master bores his ear with an awl and he serves him forever. That is the parable: we must decide to make Jesus Lord and serve him forever, not just have him as Redeemer.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:25 Very practical have you heard this taught in America. You ever heard it on the tv radio no because we have a problem getting outside basic doctrine. We just go over the same old basic doctrine all the time and we don’t know as American Christians how to deal with present issues in America. And it’s sad now listen to this. Exodus 21:5 through 6 if the servant the slave it’s really servant indentured servant okay somebody in debt says at the end of six years I love my master I don’t care if he was the thief I don’t care if he got in debt and couldn’t pay it off or he just sold himself because he was poor at the end of the period he can say I love my master.

▶ 14:29 Hallelujah now you can see the parable. Becoming clear can’t you who’s the master yes. Who are we supposed to love number one commandment. Jesus is God God Jesus they’re the same hallelujah I will not go out free. His master will bring him to the judges bore his ear with an awl and he shall serve him for how long forever.

▶ 15:04 Can you see the parable opening up to you now don’t we have to come to a place where we decide. To just serve Jesus forever. [unclear] I remember a guy coming into the church when I was a young Christian and he spoke about is Jesus just your redeemer or is he the Lord of your life and man he made it clear the Holy Ghost made it plain and I had to decide that day to add Jesus as Lord the one I’m to obey just not my redeemer is going to forgive me and love me and pat me on the back and encourage me all the time that he’s going to tell me what for and to do it and that day I had to make a decision to make Jesus Lord of my life and it was a one of the best decisions I ever made he’s the king and I’m to obey in that any men he’s my master I’m the slave I’m the one that got into the debt of sin you see the parable opening up.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Exodus 21:5-6 (NKJV)

But if the servant plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’ then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.

— Exodus 21:5-6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:59

What debt did Jesus pay?

▶ Watch this part (16:22)

Short answer: We were in debt through sin—the wages of sin is death—and Jesus paid it, delivering us from sin’s control. He says the Bible has no forced slavery: Deuteronomy 24:7 and Exodus 21:16, a kidnapper must die. Servants had to be treated right; Paul taught a good attitude in hard situations and to be free if possible.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:22 He came and died for me and paid for my sin and he delivered me he didn’t just ransom me he rescued me delivered me from the control of sin hello there and it’s all right here in Exodus 20:15 if you understand slavery we’re the ones that are in debt because of sin in that right the wages of sin is is death see we have a debt that has to be paid and Jesus paid it I. Wrote back in 2008 Mr. Obama the head of the homosexual activist ahead of the democratic party and any congressman that believes this nonsense and I says in the Bible there is no forced slavery and I can prove it you guys are lying to America.

▶ 17:24 Okay yeah I wrote him somebody’s got to say something. Deuteronomy 24:7 if a man is called kidnapping what is kidnapping. Taken someone against their will. In that kidnapping yes if anyone is caught kidnapping and Israelite as a slave he’s going to use him for himself or if he kidnaps that person to sell him the kidnapper must die that separates slavery from servanthood. Amen. And did you know the servants had to be treated right do you know the eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth is talking about slaves the servant.

▶ 18:20 If that guy knocks the servants teeth out he lets him go free because his teeth had to get knocked out if he put out that servant’s eye he lets him go free or else his eye has to be put out. Are you there and if that slave ran away because he was mistreated you could not get. Slave. Searchers or what I call a group it goes off a slave hunters you could not get slave hunters to go get him you had to personally go yourself. [unclear] somebody to get your slave back your servant the one that was in debt and working for you you had to go do it personally and then of course you had to take that guy to the courts and explain why he ran away and if he ran away because you were mistreating him the courts were going to say what master you were wrong see people just throw out stuff and so then they used the New Testament well Paul agreed with slavery Paul did not agree with slavery he plainly said that were to be free but he taught the people how to have a good attitude when they were in a horrible situation.

▶ 19:43 That’s all he was doing. Have you ever been in situations where you needed a good attitude yeah well that’s what Paul was trying to teach them and so in Exodus 21:16 he who kidnaps a man a person and sells him shall surely be put to death only have to be an Israelite. The Bible does not approve of slavery never did and these people that twisted the scriptures to say it did they just did it for their own convenience and let me tell you folks people are twisting scriptures today and Paul said that they twist the scriptures to their own hurt and to the hurt of others that’s why we’ve got to know the truth because the truth is what sets us free we’re going to take a look at understanding spiritual slavery because that’s what we’re talking about in.

Which two masters are there?

▶ Watch this part (20:46)

Short answer: Ephesians 2:2: you walked according to the course of this world and the prince of the power of the air, who works in the children of disobedience. John 16:11: the prince of this world. Acts 3:15: you killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead. Only Jesus can deliver.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 20:46 Spiritual slavery you’re going to have one of two choices. Okay you’re going to have one or two masters. Who own you and control your life. The first one Ephesians 2:2 in the time past you walked according to the course of this world or in agreement to the course of this world. According or an agreement to the prince of the power of the air Jesus in John 16:11 set called him the prince of this world lust of the eyes lust of the flesh pride of life that’s what the Bible defines as the world lust oh what I lust of the flesh and the pride of life see that’s the world and Satan is the ruler of that world.

▶ 21:43 Okay. He is a spirit Satan is a spirit am I right yeah. And that now works in the children of disobedience the people that disobey God’s word and not under his mastership. His ownership are under the prince of the world Satan and his kingdom of darkness disobedience is that clear yes it’s really that simple now.

▶ 22:22 Acts 3:15 you killed the prince of life that’s the second master. Okay whom God has raised from the dead so who’s the prince of life Jesus who is the one God raised from the dead Jesus he’s the prince of life he’s the prince of peace he’s the king of kings the Lord of lords the great I am its Jesus either serve Satan and agree with him or you serve Christ and agree with him there isn’t any confusion at all there’s not another one there’s only two spiritual leaders one is Satan and the kingdom of disobedience and the other one is Jesus and the kingdom of obedience to righteousness alleluia and he says God raised him from the dead this is Jesus the firstborn and the one who ransomed us and rescues us preachers can preach but it takes Jesus to deliver you.

How do we know we know him?

▶ Watch this part (23:30)

Short answer: 1 John 2:3: we know that we know him if we keep his commandments. God never gives a commandment he lacks the power to work through us; as we pursue him, flaws fall off.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:30 I can tell people to say the sinner’s prayer but it takes Christ’s coming personally to that person and revealing himself as the redeemer and doing a work in them to set them free 1 John 2:3 we do know that we know him that’s Jesus if we keep his commandments Jesus said if you love me you’ll keep my commandment we know that we know him do you know Christ oh yeah I’m a Christian do you keep his commandments well you know that’s impossible. Did God give us a commandment that we couldn’t keep. Did he give us a commandment that he didn’t have the power to work that commandment through us no that’s reducing the authority and the power of God and he didn’t have any limitations however.

▶ 24:29 You can’t limit God yeah you can limit yourself but you can’t limit God he has no limitations so get off your high horse and realize that he can work in you hard-headed like me in spite of yourself and fulfill his word in your life amen and the Bible says we go from faith to faith salvation to salvation we grow in this thing you know we have flaws in her life but as we keep pursuing God flaw after flaw begins to fall off because he empowers us to hear and obey. Working to work in us you have a choice between two behaviors all right. The sinister side. And the light side oh yeah.

Whose slave are you?

▶ Watch this part (25:21)

Short answer: Romans 6:17–18: you were slaves of sin, but you obeyed from the heart the doctrine delivered to you, and being set free from sin you became slaves of righteousness. Claiming maturity is no excuse to go back. Love your Master: assemble, pray and read.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 25:21 That look like some of us. [unclear]. Romans 6:17 number one. You were slaves of sin he’s talking here you were slaves of sin a slave needs a what redeemer say redeemer somebody to purchase them out on that under from underneath that masters control alright so we can be redeemed hallelujah. Yet you obeyed from the heart see there’s that born-again thing not just joining a church not just saying a sinner’s prayer but the Holy Spirit actually coming and convicting you and working salvation in you I experience that tonight I got saved I couldn’t believe it I felt the load of sin lifting it didn’t know I had one I.

▶ 26:27 Felt an inner work of God didn’t he know there could be such a thing I got born again that night I didn’t know what born-again was. But the spirit comes and he connects you with Jesus Christ hello there and the spirit has no denominational barriers by the way how are they. So you obey from the heart the doctrines given you see they had a they they’re mine their will and their emotions was turned to the truth of God’s word by the spirit of God now you’re set free from sin you became number two slaves of righteousness. People always telling me I they serve God for about three or four years and then they’ll have a sudden they’re back to doing things they shouldn’t be doing they said well I’m a tour now.

▶ 27:30 Metoo. You were mature before you got saved because that’s what you were doing before you got saved the thing of it is you don’t want to become a slave of Jesus Christ and do what he says to do that’s your problem is that any man you can use and hide behind I’m mature I know what’s going on and nothing wrong with drinking in on and nothing wrong with smoking dope and you know whatever [unclear] I’m mature that’s the very stuff you got saved from am I right absolutely. So folks whether you like it or not you’re a slave. So the question is. Do you love your master now we get back to the first commandment do you love Jesus do you love God and you don’t want your freedom to go back to this world.

▶ 28:39 Isn’t that right. That is good stuff our God is a tremendous God and we need to fall deeply in love with Jesus who is God and quit arguing about it. The Holy Spirit’s God Jesus is God and God is God. So father God is on the throne and the Jesus God is right beside him and they’re all what God hallelujah God in the flesh do we love him the first law do we love him will we take time to assemble in church because he says forsake not the assembling yourself together to provoke one another to what love and good works that’s what the church is for see will we take time to pray because the master said can you not watch with me one hour you know just take time during the day to read your Bible and pray well I don’t have time listen.

Does loving our Master include standing up?

▶ Watch this part (29:49)

Short answer: The Master wants moral lives. He cites abuse figures and asks why the church is silent when Jesus said children are the greatest in the kingdom. Those baptized in the Holy Ghost should speak out against atrocities.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 29:49 You have time to watch sports you have time to watch soap operas you have time to do a lot of things that you could reduce and find time for God am I right. And the master wants us to live a moral life no sexual immorality no homosexuality. No pedophile stuff. Is it do you love him to stand up for these things. [unclear]. Over a million kids are abused every year in America. No one is standing I can’t believe the American church knows this and does not hit their congregation when innocent little kids are being physically and sexually abused six hundred and some thousand are sexually abused every year and the American church is silent on it I don’t get it.

▶ 30:55 Does our God does our master care about these kids. Did he say these are the ones their greatest in the kingdom yes did he take time for kids even when his disciples didn’t want him to did he take time and yet the American church I love my neighbor hallelujah we’re helping the homeless we’re helping the drug addict what about these kids we’re not standing up to our lawmakers we’re not standing up for what’s right why in the woods the church so silent in America and us tongue talking people who said even more so be speaking out if we really have the baptism of the Holy Ghost with power. That Holy Ghost is going to speak out against atrocities. Amen. See they got us dumb down right now.

▶ 31:53 Are we willing to love him and serve him forever that’s what God is asking you today. In first Corinthians 5:19 you are not your own your bra bought at a price do you get that I remember the first time I read this oh my God this is heavy. When I accepted Christ I didn’t know I accepted him as my master I thought he was just my redeemer my savior [unclear] I just gonna skate through life now once I accepted just skate through life my goodness I never knew the flaws in me till I came to Christ. He had a lot of work to do and the people that rejected me when I decided to live for Christ.

▶ 32:51 Friends. Acquaintances are. You bought with a price so you don’t have a right to decide what you’re going to do do you you must do what he says to do and if he says I would that men everywhere lift up holy hands without wrath or doubting what are you going to do you’re going to lift up your hands and because thy loving kindness is better than life thus will I bless thee I will lift up my hands in your name why you asked me to lift my hand I’m going to lift my hands now you say that’s simple yes it is but we got to get the whole counsel of God amen. Love your husband.

What is the second commandment in practice?

▶ Watch this part (33:44)

Short answer: Acts 26:18: I send you to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Love for neighbor means concern for their spiritual slavery. Jesus came to save sinners, not to alleviate poverty; we may give food and clothing, but the gospel comes first.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 33:44 Love your wife. Stop centering your life around you. Put your spouse in there. Your children. We got to obey the king in every area now comes the second commandment I don’t know if you’re ready to handle this because I already know what you’re thinking and I’m going to throw you a curveball. All right God’s going to throw you a curveball now. Comes the second commandment which is the first one you got to master first grade before you go to second grade why are we working on 2nd grade all the time you give first grade right and I guarantee you you will know how I handle second grade are you ready for this all right brace yourself.

▶ 34:53 Anticipation. Acts 26:18 I send you to open their eyes whose eyes the neighbors eyes you shall love the neighbor as yourself I send you to open what your neighbors eyes. You can’t just be a pew warmer in the church. You know I’ve preached in prisons I’ve preached in jails I’ve preached in juvenile halls a priest on the street Santa Ana the preacher the streets of down south and you know I went door to door I did these things I don’t see the normal American church member.

▶ 35:39 Having any concern for their neighbor and the verse concern is what their spiritual slavery no one had to tell me the Holy Ghost drove me the Bible drove me I got this great experience I gotta tell people about it I gotta tell the homosexual he’s going to hell no matter what Obama said no matter what the people say the homosexual if they don’t repent and turn they’re going to hell they’re going to go to the lake of fire forever and I don’t want them going there so I’m not going to be silent now do we want them killed no we don’t want the adult okay we want to thieve kill we want to correct it what we want we want to get back in the closet and do these things in darkness like the Bible says not make laws that approve of it we don’t need them teaching our kids in school that this is an acceptable lifestyle and messing up their brain and thinking that there are you know homosexual or whatever amen.

▶ 36:43 Turn them from darkness to light from wrong to right and the supreme court has no right to muzzle the mouth of Christians or muzzle the mouth of a Bible right now the Bible is the only censored book in America and we are not supposed to have any book censored the Christian church just sits by idly and does nothing about it the Bible is the most authentic book in the world are you with me. We’re just letting them push us around and slap us around why we don’t know how to love our God. Because if we love him and we know him we’re going to speak out on his issues.

▶ 37:42 Turn them repent that’s repentance and turned them from the power of Satan the prince of darkness prince of this world the master the slave owner to. The power of God Jesus. The righteous master the righteous slave owner that is our job and going down and giving food to the homeless and and putting clothes on their back and buying people out of debt slavery and all this is not doing the job first they need to hear the word of the gospel to change their life have a chance they are poor in spirit didn’t know what Jesus said they’re poor in spirit and we need to come with the spirit of the word the word is spirit and then God can come and convict them and they have a chance of turning around.

▶ 38:42 And we can also help them with food and clothing but folks the priority of Jesus Christ wasn’t to come to help the poor. Was it he came in the world to save sinners not alleviate poverty. Boy that was good are you with me and we got to keep that priority and yes if we give medicine and we give clothes and when we give alms here yeah we do that stuff but the key is you got to bring the message of the gospel to them. If we love him we will speak what he said to speak we’ll get a love for the neighbor to open their eyes to turn them from darkness to light from the power of Satan into the power God.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Points to check: “Exodus 20:23” spoken for Exodus 22:3; “Exodus 20:15” unclear; “eye for an eye” said to concern servants (Exodus 21:26–27 frees an injured servant); his account of runaway servants and courts; “the Bible never approved forced slavery” (compare Leviticus 25:44–46); about 2.5 million with hundreds of thousands of Egyptians in the exodus; resurrection body “without blood.” Unverified: over a million children abused, 600,000+ sexually abused yearly. Sensitive content kept as spoken: President Obama said to claim the Bible advocates slavery and called head of homosexual activists; homosexuals going to hell and “back in the closet”; Jesus’ priority not helping the poor.
