After a video on who Jesus is, Pastor David G. Kincer reaches the sixth disarming doctrine: prosperity and the cares of this life. Even modest prosperity can lift the heart and make us forget God. Paul wants believers serving without distraction under the lordship of Jesus. He urges fasting, keeping God’s ways and laboring for souls.

Who is Jesus?

Short answer: Asked if He was the Christ, Jesus said, I am.

▶ 0:00 For a hundred thousand people good morning welcome welcome and thank you for joining us this morning outside ministries it is a good day in God amen amen. Amen amen we’re gonna invite mr famro up to share this scripture reading and we’re gonna get started in worship and we’re gonna hear God’s word and we’re gonna have announcements and offering so thank you for joining us this morning God bless you. Good morning.

▶ 0:33 The scriptures this morning focus on the question who is Jesus. And in Mark 14:61 through 62. Jesus is before the Sanhedrin court and the high priest asked him Jesus are you the Christ the son of the blessed and Jesus said I am Jesus is telling us he is the son of God Jesus says in John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life and Jesus Jesus also says in John 8:32 you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free Jesus is either the absolute truth and the son of God or he is the biggest fraud who ever walked across the stage of human history and what you believe has no bearing on reality fire burns whether if you believe it or not frost freezes whether if you believe it or not the earth is round whether if you believe it or not Jesus Christ is the son of God who can save you from your sins whether if you believe it or not who is Jesus that’s the question if you’re an atheist an act gospel whatever you call yourself you cannot deny there’s something about the name of Jesus.

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 14:61-62 (NKJV)

But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” Jesus said, “I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”

What does the video say?

▶ Watch this part (1:53)

Short answer: He never traveled far or had formal education, yet He is the Son of the living God who became flesh.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:53 I have a powerful video this morning for you to reflect upon. Jesus Christ do you think you are what they say you are. You remember that day when Saul who was persecuting Christians was on the road to damascus. And a blinding light came and he fell down and the first question he asked was who art that Lord. Who is Jesus why cannot we escape him Lord why is he in our conscience in our mind so that our plays and our points and our is he just a revolutionary hero. Why is he something more he only lived 33 years.

▶ 2:48 He never traveled more than a hundred miles. He never had any formal education. And yet two thousand years later my entire generation. Is talking about. Jesus Christ. Some say that he was a madman. Was it. There were others that said he was revolutionary. He’d come to lead a revolution was he a revolutionary. In the sense that he changed men’s lives he was but he never led a revolution against rome. Or was Jesus an establishment man. Jesus Christ. Is not the establishment Christ.

▶ 3:41 He’s building another kingdom. He’s building an eternal kingdom. And then there were people that said that he was deliberately evil that he was an evil man that he was a Devil. What was it. That’s the question Jesus Christ who are you. Who is Jesus. We try to run from him. Keeps popping up everywhere. Our greatest philosophers write about it our greatest historians write about it. Our greatest poems and plays are about him. You go anywhere in the soviet union and you’ll see images and art and much of the music has to do with Jesus.

▶ 4:39 They can’t escape it. Well we know some things about him we know he was a man. Jesus was completely human. He was representative of man because the Bible says he was identified he was numbered with the transgressors. We know that he was hungry we know he got thirsty we know he got tired we know that he had the joys of friendship we know that. He wept at the tomb of a dead lover. We know that he had all the characteristics of a man and yet very interestingly the Bible says that he never committed sin. There isn’t a trial or a testing or a temptation that Jesus has not been through before you and he resisted them and overcame them.

▶ 5:36 He was a man. Just like him. But he was more than that. He claimed to be the unique. Only begotten. Incarnate son of God. In fact he claimed pre-existence. The scripture says in the beginning was the word and the word was with God. Before time began. He existed. He said before Abraham was I am I am in eternal existence. No wonder they got anger. No wonder they threw stones at him no wonder they tried to kill him and no wonder they eventually did crucified he stood and said I am God.

▶ 6:34 Was he. Was he who he claimed to be the son of the living God. Jesus Christ claimed to be the son of the living God. You know at his incarnation. Or his birth that was not his birth or that wasn’t the beginning that wasn’t the origin of Jesus. That was the beginning that was the beginning of his incarnation. Because he has always existed. From everlasting to everlasting he is the Bible says and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us in other words the logos. The word of God.

▶ 7:27 The eternal God became flesh and the person of Jesus Christ and lived like a man among us. He was not just another great man he was God. In the flesh I know the ethics that he taught. Never a man speak like that man. In the ten commandments thou shalt not commit adultery but I tell you that if you even look on a woman to lust after you’ve already committed. He said Moses said thou shalt not murder but I tell you if you have hate in your heart against your brother without cause you’re already guilty. He lifted man’s ethics to the highest plane and demanded that we live that kind of a life.

▶ 8:22 He himself lived that kind of a life. Jesus Christ is the son of the living God and if you accept him into your heart he can make your life beautiful this morning let’s praise and worship Jesus the name that is above every other name. Is. So. Jesus.

▶ 9:49 Jesus is. To you. Is. Oh.

▶ 11:16 Here. Oh. Oh.

▶ 12:39 So. Uh. Oh. Oh. Is.

▶ 14:18 Is. Is. Oh. Oh.

▶ 15:40 Oh. Oh. Is. Is.

▶ 17:08 All the glory. Oh. Oh. The glory.

▶ 18:24 More. Oh. Oh. Is. So.

▶ 20:00 We will see. Is. There was no one again. Oh. Is. And they.

▶ 21:31 Were casting downtown. Is. Am. Yes. Oh.

▶ 22:40 I may say. And raising. Is. Forever.

▶ 23:50 Praise God forever. Great. And oh.

▶ 24:49 Oh. Oh.

▶ 26:02 Oh. All the glory. Even with our imperfections Jesus come when you meet with us I pray that you would open. Specifically for us.

What doctrines were covered?

▶ Watch this part (26:59)

Short answer: Satan’s claim to the nations, once saved always saved, and judge not.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 26:59 How we can change ourselves. This morning. Get the government that they have and doctrines six doctrines. That. Cause believers. To lose their fight their spiritual fight. Remember in Matthew 4:8 we saw that.

▶ 27:58 Satan told Jesus that he could give him all the nations of the earth for they were his to give and we showed you that Satan is a liar. We showed you that Jesus. Has always been over all the nations. He told Pilate. You would have no authority at all unless it was given to you from above Jesus is the Lord of all the nations. And. We talked about the doctrine of turning the other cheek going the extra mouths giving your clothes away sell and all and give to the poor. This emphasis that the liberal church brought into the united states in the 1700s. That Jesus was just a good man and if we go about doing good like he did then we’re good Christians they didn’t believe in the virgin birth they didn’t believe in the miracles except as their illustration of spiritual truth they didn’t believe in the death on the cross and the resurrection from the dead they just believed in helping the poor and being nice to people but Jesus was more he was the son of God he was the savior of the world and he did do miracles.

Can faith alone save?

▶ Watch this part (29:12)

Short answer: Faith without works is dead; stay in the balance.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 29:12 We also showed you that once saved always saved or saved by faith only. Is a doctrine that neutralizes the fight in Christian unbelievers unconditional love no matter what I do God’s going to love me and he’s going to take me to heaven. That salvation is free. And we’re saved by grace through faith. And we showed you. How. It is Jesus that is the savior of the world there is no other name under heaven. Whereby we must be saved but by the name of what Jesus Christ his blood cleanses from all sin and James balanced out Paul’s statement of grace and faith by saying. That.

▶ 30:05 Faith without works abides alone and it cannot save you. And so we need. To stay in the balance of the scriptures or it loses our fight if I don’t have to do nothing and do any works it loses the fight. The spirit of the fight that’s in us then we saw that we’ve lived by the sword we die by it which is not in the Bible it doesn’t say that statement. Avenge not God is the avenger. Judge not and resist not evil and we showed you that. Jesus did resist evil when he went into the temple and drove out the money changers and said my house is to be a house of prayer and you made it a den of feasts Jesus did resist them when they wanted to stone him when they wanted to throw him off the cliff he resist their evil and the only time he turned the other cheek was when he was ready to die on the cross for the sins of the world amen and the Bible says to judge righteous judgment if you don’t make judgments how are you going to be tell with his false doctrine and what is right doctrine you’ve got to make a judgment.

▶ 31:22 These people say when we showed you that judge not lest you be not judged we showed you why that statement was there. The imminent return of Jesus that he can come any minute the falling away. The perilous times the seven year tribulation which is not in the Bible at all you know we’re in the Bible can you show a statement that there’s seven years of tribulation. They have to take a week out of Daniel and shift it down to the end time and pretend that’s a seven year period of time where we’re going to be in tribulation. The beast the false prophet the antichrist the son of perdition they say is all the same person when the Bible does not say that at all it is a distraction and every time something bad happens we say well it’s the perilous times it’s the pearlescent times and it takes the fight out of us well this is the fulfillment of the scripture you know the wicked are getting more wicked and the and and you know the the the earthquakes and the wars and all this stuff it’s a sign of the time and it takes the fight about us to deliver people who are being mistreated unjustly and to save them and to stand up for right in our generation.

▶ 32:43 Could that be true. Falling away every time somebody the church gets cold and dry they go through a dry season or a cold season well this is the falling away you know this is what the prophets this is what the Bible predicted and it takes the fight out of us we’re not fighting and saying like Ezekiel prophesied to these bones bones live again. Prosperity. Or any one of the above. Removes. A pro-justice fight for victims. And it removes the judgment of evil.

Can prosperity distract?

▶ Watch this part (33:39)

Short answer: Yes — not only for millionaires; your heart is lifted up and you forget God, like Nebuchadnezzar.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 33:39 Prosperity can distract you. And we’re not talking about a billionaire or a millionaire we’re just talking about living good. A family and focusing on it so much that we don’t fight for injustice anymore. It says in Deuteronomy 8:11 beware that you forget not the Lord your God. And not keeping his commandments. You forget to keep his commandments. His judgments. And his statutes and we showed you that the statutes are the spiritual doctrines in the Bible. It’s the burning of incense which is prayer and praise it’s the sacrificing of the lamb which is Jesus dying on the cross.

▶ 34:37 The laws or thou shalt not commit adultery thou shalt not murder that shall not bear false witness and so forth he says you got to take caution that you don’t forget God in keeping the judgments the judgment is. Looking at something. Deciding that it’s wrong and fighting for the right of it. Amen. And Christians in America right now are really lacking in confronting the judgment of evil that’s in this nation. And how do they forget God. At least when you have eaten and are full you’ve built goodly homes. Your herds and your flocks and your silver and your gold and all that you have is multiplied.

▶ 35:36 Your heart gets lifted up. And you forget God remember the king of Babylon. He went out on his balcony one day and says wow look at this great kingdom that I’ve built. When the Bible prophesied that God would give him that kingdom before he was even born. Amen and we can do that look at my fine car in my fine house and my fine furniture oh man we can get lifted up with pride. Ah I am successful I have reached the peak. And we forget to keep God’s laws God’s statutes. We don’t pray anymore we don’t read our Bible anymore we don’t study the Bible anymore. We don’t worship anymore.

Scripture (NKJV)

Deuteronomy 8:11-14 (NKJV)

What have we stopped doing?

▶ Watch this part (36:30)

Short answer: We don’t fast or keep God’s spiritual laws.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 36:30 We don’t fast anymore. We don’t keep the spiritual laws of God. We certainly don’t keep the judgments we don’t care what’s going on in the world all we care about is keeping our nice home our nice car and food and clothing. So. We got to remember that it was God. Who said. After that last scripture. It was God who said build and dwell in houses. Plant and eat the fruit of the garden. Take wives beget sons and daughters take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands that they may bear sons and daughters that you may be increased.

▶ 37:29 And not diminished and this he said when they were being carried captive to Babylon when they were going through a time of tribulation God says I want to increase you I want to bless you I want you to have a house I want you to have food and clothing I want you to be enlarged. Hallelujah. God who said in Deuteronomy don’t forget God when you are prosperous. Also said he would prosper us. Hallelujah. Don’t forget it was God who said if anyone does not provide for his own self his mainly for those of his household he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever it was God who said you’ve got to work you’ve got to provide for yourself for your wife or your children.

▶ 38:28 Or your husband. It was God who said that. It was the same God who said beware that you don’t forget God when you prosper. It was God who said if anyone will not work neither shall he eat. So welfare without work is anti-Bible. But it was God who also said. It was God who also said. Six days shall you work. On the seventh you will rest. And reverence respect my sanctuary on that seventh day.

▶ 39:20 Hallelujah. It was God. Saying again. Don’t let your work and your prosperity distract you from my sanctuary the place where I dwell my house my temple. Hallelujah. It was the same God who also said consider your ways. Go bring wood and build my house. That it may take that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified. My house is in ruins. While every one of you runs to his own house. You’re wrapped up in your family raising kids making money your bank account nice cars nice clothes and yet my house is in ruins.

▶ 40:23 And you just say it’s perilous time it’s the falling away. Are you here this morning. Hallelujah. Therefore the heavens will hold withhold the dew and the earth will withhold its fruit I will get your attention God said I will get your attention. Why because you are leaving my house in ruins you’re not prophesying to the dry bones live you’re not building my house. You’re not even going to my house. Only 20 some percent of American Christians go to church at all and assemble together which the Bible says to assemble even the more so as you see the days approaching provoking one another to loving the good works and they don’t do it.

What is America’s biggest distraction?

▶ Watch this part (41:25)

Short answer: Prosperity, taking the fight out of God’s people.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 41:25 Prosperity. Is the biggest distraction in America and taking the fight. Out of God’s people. And he plainly says go and build my house. Did Jesus Christ come into the earth to build his house. Yes upon this rock I will what build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it some water some soul but God gives the increase we are laborers together with God to build the house of God amen unless the Lord builds the house they labor in vain so we’ve got to build it through him by him and his word. But he has chosen us.

▶ 42:19 To be the vessel. That he can use to build God’s house. And we get distracted. The same God who says I want to prosper you as the same God that said watch out prosperity. Can cause you to forget God. Now. I have no man like-minded in Philippians 2:20. But Timothy. Who will naturally care for your state your condition. Of all these people that got saved through the ministry. All these people he only had one young man that cared for the condition of God’s church.

What is the sad scripture?

▶ Watch this part (43:16)

Short answer: All seek their own, not the things of Christ.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 43:16 That is a sad scripture. All seek their own. Not the things which are Christ. Wow. Wow. Could the American church be in this condition right now. Yes. Even when America goes through a recession. We’re still a very wealthy prosperous people. Isn’t that true. Yes. All seek their own not the things are Christ. If they do go to church they just want to hear a nice music group and a flattering message. A positive message a motivational message.

▶ 44:09 They don’t want to hear. If my people which are called by my name will humble themself and pray they don’t want to hear we got to spend some time in prayer that we’ve got to enter his presence with thanksgiving enter his courts with praise so he inhabits. He comes and he visits with us and speaks with us and we have an encounter with him. Paul said this. Concerning the home and so forth if you do marry you have not sinned. Well that’s really Revelation huh. From Genesis 1 he told us the two for this reason shall a man leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife and they shall become one flesh duh from the very beginning God.

What does Paul say about marriage?

▶ Watch this part (45:07)

Short answer: The married care for the things of the world; he wants us without distraction.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 45:07 Ordained marriage created marriage and approves of marriage so Paul comes up with this great Revelation if you do mary you have not sinned wow ah. Now just just remember that statement because I’m I’m heading somewhere with it nevertheless. Such will have trouble in the flesh but I want to spare you well thank you Paul I had the same trouble in the flesh when I was single. That I have when I was married. Are you out there. Hallelujah when you’re single. You want to be married. When you’re married. You got to put up with that spouse. Boy really heavy reviews here by Paul.

▶ 46:03 Okay you got it so far. Yeah well what the world is he talking about. Man I couldn’t wait to get married. And have a honeymoon when I was single. All right and yes now you’re married you got to share your life with that person 24 hours a day seven days a week 12 months out of the year and the rest of your life good God what I got myself into and Paul was single. But if you read first Corinthians closely he had a gift to stay single. He didn’t burn with lust in his heart for a relationship. So let’s. Keep. On the track of Paul here.

▶ 46:56 Be without care be without worry hallelujah and he he just said those great words that you know you’re gonna have trouble in the flesh but be without care the unmarried cares for the things of the Lord. Oh really. I know a lot of them that could care the least about the Lord. How about you yeah. Even believers they don’t care about building God’s house and they’re single what are he talking about the unmarried cares for the things of the Lord. How to please the Lord that they may be holy in body and spirit now he is right here we’re to be holy we’re to come out from the world and be separate be holy touch not the unclean thing he’s right but let me tell you you got to do that whether you’re married or not married isn’t that right is that an amen.

▶ 47:59 The married cares for the things of the world also do the singles. Have you forgotten being single and how deep into the world you were. Well young men all they care about is that car that they want to drive the cool car and uh you know. You know this you know what I’m talking about. The married cares for the things of the world how they may please their spouse and this I say for your own prophet. My own prophet. Boy with this great Revelation there’s profit in it. Not to put a leash on you here is the turning statement.

▶ 48:51 I’m not saying that you’re going to have trouble in the flesh I’m not saying that as a unmarried person that you’re going to please the Lord and the marriage aren’t going to please the Lord he says I’m not putting a lease on you I’m not putting restraints on you you are to please your wife you are to please your husband you are to work you are to build your home and your family raise your kid you are to do this I’m not putting restraints on you here’s where it starts making sense are you with me. But for what is proper. And this is what is proper. That you may what serve the Lord without distraction. He brought up these illustrations that are very confusing. To show us that even if we’re married or single we should serve the Lord Jesus Christ without any distraction.

▶ 49:54 Amen he is the savior he is God he’s the creator he’s the one that died on the cross and rose the third day he is Jesus and we are to serve him without being distracted and when you read your Bible what brought a lot of distraction with with people. In the marriage you got nabal and abigail nabal he wouldn’t hear anything he knew it all he was mr know it all and he would be the one that would would quote the scripture in Ephesians submit woman you know some wife submit yourself unto the Lord I am the king of this house I’m the ruler of this house and when you get in that you’re not in the right frame of mind to be a ruler of the house. In fact it doesn’t say that the man is the ruler of the house.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 7:32-35 (NKJV)

But I want you to be without care. He who is unmarried cares for the things of the Lord—how he may please the Lord. But he who is married cares about the things of the world—how he may please his wife. There is a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband. And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a leash on you, but for what is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction.

What is the chain of command?

▶ Watch this part (50:47)

Short answer: God, Jesus, man, woman; homes are destroyed when either wants to be dictator.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 50:47 Says he’s the head of the woman. Are you there. And just the opposite it said that the wife is what the head of the household. Are you there but nabal you know mr know it all hard-headed wouldn’t listen to anybody and abigail was married to this knucklehead. And she was spiritual she knew the times and the seasons of God she knew what God was doing at that time and she married this blockhead. Who would distract her from serving the Lord Jesus Christ as he said to be served that was a great statement. Did you get that. Paul’s saying married and singles you’ve got to be under the lordship of Jesus Christ without any distraction.

▶ 51:47 When you look at the chain of command you have God. Jesus. And Jesus is over the governments he’s over the home he’s over the church and he’s over the principalities and powers of darkness isn’t that right. And then you have over here in the home that the husband is right under Jesus. He is under submission to the Lord first Corinthians 11 says. And if he’s not under submission to Jesus then don’t tell me that he can dictate to his wife what she should do and shouldn’t do are you there see everybody’s responsible. But this is the kicker. The wife is not only under. The headship of the husband she is still directly under.

▶ 52:40 The lordship of Jesus and this is what Paul is trying to get across. The children that is birthed. They are to submit to their parents but those children are directly under the lordship of Jesus Christ if those parents go off base that child is supposed to follow Christ. Are you there. And then you got jezebel and atelia. You know she killed her own children so she could get on the throne and she was evil jezebel and athaliah the same family there they were just evil women that would do anything to have their own way and you got that in a marriage. And these women are good at crying. They try to cry their way.

▶ 53:36 To to have their way with a lot of of uh wordy essays. Trying to explain everything listen. Either one is wrong. And Paul is trying to show us. To not let the things of this world and the things of the flesh distract us. From serving the Lord Jesus Christ staying under his authority could that be an amen. Us believers yes we are to submit to ministers and real pastors and so forth but we are directly under the authority of Jesus and if that pastor that shepherd that minister is not following Christ and that’s enough that we obey Christ isn’t that right.

▶ 54:32 Hallelujah. And I’ve seen many a home destroyed because the man or the woman want to be the dictator of the home. Hallelujah aren’t you glad you came to church this morning. And we’re supposed to flow together to the good things of the Lord now. I said all this stuff about Paul because Peter. Exposes Paul. Peter says Paul’s letters contain some things that are hard to understand. And I just gave you some of them you know God honored the marriage from beginning to Revelation and here’s Paul saying it’s better not to marry. Who is Paul.

▶ 55:25 See he is trying to get a point across. And people take his his confused way sometimes of trying to get his point across. And they they become apostles they become disciples of Paul instead of disciples of Jesus Christ. See Paul said for by grace are you saved through faith and not of itself that is the gift of God not of works lest any man should boast the very next scripture says we are created in Christ Jesus to good works very next scripture see but they take one verse out of Paul’s message. And they go we’re saved by grace nowhere in the Bible does it say you are saved by grace. Through faith. You’re saved by the blood without the shedding of blood what there’s no forgiveness of sin.

▶ 56:20 Are you there but it’s so nice and convenient to say I’m saved by grace through faith not of works no matter what I do no matter what I speak how I live I’m going to heaven. And that disarms us. From fighting for right in the world we live in are you with me. Hallelujah is Paul right I mean is Peter wright are a lot of the things Paul says very confusing you have to really work you have to really do some digging. For the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what Paul is really saying you see he says we’re not under law we’re under grace well I’ve got news for you we are under law Jesus said I have not come to destroy the law of the prophets but to what fulfill them when the rich man came and the other guy came and says what must I do to inherit eternal life Jesus says what does the scripture say well I got to not commit adultery honor my parents you know don’t steal and all he says you’ve answered correctly.

Are we under law?

▶ Watch this part (57:30)

Short answer: We are under the fulfillment of the law; Jesus fulfilled it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 57:30 This is the way to eternal life. We are under law amen. What they don’t understand is Paul is trying to tell everyone that we’re not under shadow laws. See Isaiah 1 tells us that all these shadow laws sacrifices and incense and all this stuff that God asked he said God says I didn’t require this of you they weren’t here. For you to follow these things but you were to live rightly and do justly. And in the New Testament it says. That these laws were a shadow of things to come and the Jews were trying to hang on to the shadow laws they still wanted to sacrifice animals burn incense wear certain clothes and and do certain things that the shadow laws pointed to and Paul is saying we’re not under those shadow laws.

▶ 58:31 Amen. Jesus fulfilled them we are we are under the fulfillment of the law he is the lamb of God my prayers are the incense my praise is the incense. Hallelujah the lifting of my hands is the evening sacrifice I am under the the liberty the law of liberty of Christ Jesus who set me free from the law of sin and death I’m not under the law of sin and death anymore. Amen. Hallelujah. Hard to understand. Ignorant and unstable people distorted twisted as they do the other scriptures to their own destruction. Folks you cannot take one scripture and neutralize the rest of them.

What did Gideon say?

▶ Watch this part (59:31)

Short answer: I will not rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 59:31 Hallelujah. As the musicians come. Judges 8:23 Gideon had just won a tremendous battle. He faced an army that could not be numbered. With 300 soldiers. Now how do you know that doesn’t make sense. It’s like Paul’s writing sometimes doesn’t make sense how do you face 300. Or a multitude that cannot be numbered with 300 soldiers because God said to do it and so the 300 soldiers defeated that army that couldn’t be numbered of the mindy knights and amorites and the kids and the people of the east they won the war.

▶ 1:00:27 God actually caused them to turn on themselves they begin to kill themselves. Hallelujah so do we have to worry about wars when it comes down to it will God protect his people yes. Hallelujah. So the people come to Gideon because he just did this he led this great battle they come to Gideon and they said you we want you to rule over us man. And Gideon says uh uh. Uh I will not rule over you neither will my sons rule over you the Lord shall rule over you this is what Paul is trying to explain even though it’s vague and it it it’s almost laughable. The way he tried to make it clear it’s laughable.

▶ 1:01:22 But he’s getting the point across that we should serve the Lord without distraction we got to keep him Lord of our life in spite of our husband in spite of our wife in spite of our children in spite of our parents in spite of our friend in spite of believers we must keep Jesus the Lord of our life could that be an amen and serve him. Hallelujah. And when we don’t. We become neutralized in the fight for justice. And we showed you God says. Rescue those that are robbed by the robber and oppressed by the oppressor rescue them don’t say it’s perilous times don’t say it’s the falling away.

▶ 1:02:18 Don’t say don’t get involved in politics don’t say these things get up and fight church amen. We sing a song last week that. Was a great. Remembrance of this I got the wrong words to it maybe you can bring up the other one. A house of laborers. God’s called his church to be didn’t Jesus say pray therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send laborers into the harvest didn’t he say that isn’t the church supposed to be laborers in the harvest. Yes. That is a yes. But these doctrines rob us of the fight.

Why labor for souls?

▶ Watch this part (1:03:15)

Short answer: People are going to hell — eternity — and we may be the ones to say the right word.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:03:15 To go and labor for the souls people out there are going to hell folks you know what that means eternity in the lake of fire is a serious. Verdict it’s a serious verdict it doesn’t matter if they’re wealthy and they’re prospering. In the end they’re going to burn forever in the lake of fire and if we don’t take the message of the gospel to them Jesus born of a virgin died on the cross rose the third day for the sins of the world. Amen. They can be forgiven they can be restored they can be new creatures in Christ Jesus. If we don’t take that message to them. They’re going to burn. For eternity it’s a serious thing. And if we let prosperity get in our way.

▶ 1:04:11 When we might have been the one that said the right thing or handed a track out to someone or given them a booklet or something that would turn them because the word of God is powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword if we just quote it print it speak it whatever. The word can change people. And this is what Paul is saying. Don’t let marriage or being single distract you. From keeping Jesus as Lord of your life and being a laborer in the harvest let’s sing it together will you stand unless this is God’s prayer to us God’s prayer to us. Oh.

▶ 1:05:34 I. I. Is. Is. Fine.

What does communion remember?

▶ Watch this part (1:06:58)

Short answer: The power in the death of Jesus; His death rent the veil.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:06:58 That we can drink. This is pandemic. There’s such power. In the death of Jesus Christ. On the night he was betrayed he took bread and he break it and said this is my body which was broken for you. Now not a bone in his body was broken. But he broke himself into every member of the church all of us have Jesus Christ.

▶ 1:07:56 And he said for us to treat one another. As we would treat Jesus Christ. So if you have any offense against any brother or sister right now. Any member of the body of Christ just take it to Jesus. And let him forgive you. This is the body that went the holy of holies veil in Judah so that all of us can come into his presence. Father as we take this bread we just ask you to open our understanding of fresh and new. To the power of the body of Jesus Christ those beatings that crown of thorns that spear the nails. All of that.

▶ 1:08:50 Is what rent the veil into that separated us from the presence of God in the old days and now all of us can come in and commune with you. And hear your voice and encounter you we thank you Lord for giving your body. For us let’s eat as a cup of bread together. Likewise he took the cup and says this is the new covenant in my blood. And that new covenant is all shall know the Lord from the least to the greatest I’ll put my words and your mind in your heart I’ll forgive your sins and put them from as far as the east is from the west. And all shall know me from the least of the greatest.

▶ 1:09:48 Shall know him. All of us are under the lordship of Jesus Christ. He is the keeper of the flock he is the Lord of the army the captain of the host he is the head of the church he is everything and his name everybody bows and Jesus we. Confess you today as our Lord our savior our king our God. Our way our truth our life your everything Jesus and we will follow you regardless of what other people or direction they go we’re going to follow you and let nothing distract us. From you being Lord of our lives let’s drink together. Let’s sing it one more time.

▶ 1:10:48 And if you want to be a laborer in God just lift your hands as you see. Holy. Is. Amen amen you can find your seed as my company. It’s our heads this morning.

▶ 1:12:04 God we come before you this morning God Lord the scriptures saying that I have not ceased to teach you the whole counsel of God Lord Jesus we praise the day Lord God that we would not stop just hearing a part of a verse but Lord Jesus hearing the whole hound. Of God hearing our whole truth Jesus we pray Lord God the truth and set us free. And God this morning most of all. God that we would have a desire in our hearts to serve you no matter what no matter who’s influencing us no matter what’s going on in our lives what situation. Whether we’re married unmarried children no children God whatever our situation is Lord Jesus serve you. Jesus Lord we pray that we would be good husbands good wives.

And if you think about it a stamp is what 50 cents now. 50 cents that’s just easy match so 150 divided by 50 cents is uh 75.

▶ 1:13:58 So we got to [unclear] and hand these out to the houses right and uh the addresses that the church doesn’t have. So. It’s a way to contribute to the church amen you can take a hundred of them two of them you know you can take seven of them and give out one a day start with that you can take seven pamphlets get out one a day put them on a car window. Whatever. There’s ways to get it done. And we really need to enter this realm of being a laborer. You know Isaiah said here am I. Here am I send me right amen.

▶ 1:14:52 The prayer says God we pray that you send laborers into the vineyard but Isaiah is also saying here am I send me whether you’re moving to north carolina. Texas wherever you are we gotta get a message out this pamper here is about the transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly and it’s talking about how as a Christian we have to transform and grow from. Where we are at and transform into a new creation we know that scripture and I was just looking at this and every part of this pamphlet is full of scripture references. It is a targeted message. With scripture. It is the word of God that changes people I was reading it recently in Psalms the word of the Lord converts.

▶ 1:15:49 The soul. So I encourage you there’s ways to get this done also. I want to share some things on our website and on some ads we’re doing on facebook.
