In “Proof of Bad Judgments,” Pastor David G. Kincer compares America before and after the sexual revolution that began in 1960 and says the results prove it was a bad judgment. He says the groups that promoted it have not admitted it was wrong, and he calls for confession and repentance (1 John 1:9, Luke 13:3). He closes with a Bible solution drawn from 2 Peter 1: moral excellence, knowledge, self-control, patience, respect for God and brotherly love.

What is the sermon “Proof of Bad Judgments” about?

▶ 0:00 We can make bad choices, we can make better choices than bad choices, and then we can make the best choices. In this session we’re going to be talking about the proof, and showing you the proof, of bad judgments. We’re going to take a look at the sexual revolution that started in 1960, when the pill was introduced, up to the present. We’re going to look at things, uh, before the sexual revolution, and then we’re going to look at things after the sexual revolution.

How many sexually transmitted diseases were there before and after the sexual revolution?

▶ Watch this part (0:43)

Short answer: He says there were only two before 1960 and that now there are over 30, costing Americans $16 billion a year to treat. He says the share of people who have had one went from less than 2% to greater than 50%, citing the Center for Disease Control.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:43 Before the sexual re- revolution happened in 1960, there were only two sexually transmitted diseases. Uh, we call them STDs, and these two sexually transmitted diseases were gonorrhea and syphilis. After the sexual revolution, and progressively so, new types of sexually transmitted diseases came up on the scene, and now we have over 30 sexually transmitted diseases. It cost American $16 billion a year to treat them, and this is from the Center of Disease and Control. Before the sexual revolution there were less than 2% that had a sexually transmitted disease; now it is greater than 50% of Americans have had or have now a sexually transmitted disease, where six of them kill and four are incurable.

How did the sexual revolution affect children and families?

▶ Watch this part (2:02)

Short answer: He says one-parent homes rose from 10% to 44% of children, that 85% of youth in prison come from single-parent homes, and that unplanned births rose from 10% to 40%.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:02 Before the sexual revolution, 10% of children lived in a one-parent home. Now 44% live in a one-parent home, and these children have a high percent of behavioral disorders, such as 85% of youth in prison come from single-parent homes; 85% that have been behavioral disorders come from single-parent homes. Before the sexual revolution, 10% were unplanned births; now 40% are unplanned births, according again to the Center for Disease Control.

Did safe sex education work?

▶ Watch this part (2:48)

Short answer: He says the numbers mean that safe sex education and Planned Parenthood’s idea “did not work,” and he lists what came out of the closet after 1960, along with figures on sexual abuse in the military and in schools.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:48 This means that safe sex, safe sex education, and Planned Parenthood’s idea did not work. Again, the sexual revolution from 1960, things that came out of the closet: local sex shops in the community where kids can walk by, nude bars, adult theaters, where you couldn’t drive your kid into town without it going by one of these things; public expression of homosexuality, transvestite and transsexuality; divorce came out of the closet; abortion on demand and divorce on demand; and being a virgin was no longer popular, you were, something wrong with you, or, if you were still a virgin. 45,000 military men were raped in the past 30 years, and increasingly so, according to the United States Department of Veteran Affairs, up to the place where today 500 military men and women are sexually abused in the military, according to the USA Today, 2012, and 14% of those military are men. 1/3 of 460,000 children that are sexually abused, uh, are the same-sex attacker. 500 per year of public school teachers sexually abused students.

What does he say about media bias?

▶ Watch this part (4:23)

Short answer: He says media bias “has come out of the closet” and contrasts how widely one killing was promoted as a hate crime while a 13-year-old boy’s death got no big fuss. He says forensic facts prove this judgment was harmful.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:23 And the media bias has come out of the closet, and they’re just flat-out bias on the left. You see Matthew Shepard, who was killed in Texas, and the homosexual activist promoted it, and so did the media, as a hate crime. At the same time, a young kid aged 13 by the name of Jesse [unclear] was lured up into an apartment by two homosexuals, tied up, and raped until the boy died, and yet the media made no big fuss over that at all. Forensic facts prove that this judgment was harmful.

What are the four heartbreaks he says science has exposed?

▶ Watch this part (5:14)

Short answer: He names evolution, abortion, the claim that homosexuals were born that way, and safe sex education. He says science has exposed the first three, yet humanists, the media and other groups still promote them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:14 Now, there are four heartbreaks that science has exposed, but humanists, the media and other groups still promote, even though they’ve been scientifically exposed as a lie. Number one is evolution. There is no missing link, part ape and part man; there is no present mutation; and the big bang, why did it happen only once, and where did the first matter come from? You see, there is no scientific evidence. The second one is abortion. Science has declared that the baby is a human at conception, with all the DNA to become a human being, and yet they still abort babies. The third heartbreak is homosexuals. They were not born that way. Science said there is no homo- homosexual gene; it is a choice. And the heartbreak is that both homosexuals and people are saying they cannot change.

Why does he say safe sex education failed?

▶ Watch this part (6:30)

Short answer: He points to STD rates, 1.2 million abortions a year and 40% unplanned births as proof that it “just promoted loose sexual activity.” He asks those who say science is the solution to admit the mistake and make changes that protect innocent children.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:30 The fourth one that’s a heartbreak is this safe sex education that was promoted by Planned Parenthood and the teachers unions of America and so forth. And 50% of Americans having a sexually transmitted disease, 1.2 million abortions per year, unplanned, 40% kids are unplanned births, are the proof that safe sex education didn’t work; it just promoted loose sexual activity. The humanist and followers say science, not the Bible or God, is the solution for man. If the humanist and their followers really believe that, then I submit to them: why don’t we unite, admit that this was wrong, we made a mistake, and make changes that protect people and innocent children from harm?

Which groups does he say promoted the sexual revolution?

▶ Watch this part (7:39)

Short answer: He lists homosexual rights groups, Planned Parenthood, both political parties, the Supreme Court and the American Humanist Association, along with atheists, liberals and others. He says none have admitted it was a bad judgment and reads 1 John 1:9 on confessing sin.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 7:39 Now we’re going to look at some groups that was responsible for the legalization of the sexual revolution. At the top I have several icons: the homosexual rights icon, with the lady kissing the Statue of Liberty; Planned Parenthood icon; Republican; Democ- Democrat; Supreme Court; and the American Humanist Association; along with atheists, liberals, religionist, hedonist and freethinkers. All promoted and supported the sexual revolution. None have admitted it was a bad judgment. None. 1 John 1:9 tells us, if we confess our sin, our crime, God is faithful and just to forgive our sin and our crime and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I have not heard anyone from these groups admitting they were wrong, their group was wrong, and asking America to forgive them.

What does it mean to repent?

▶ Watch this part (8:57)

Short answer: Quoting Luke 13:3, he says repent is to turn my thinking from bad, harmful thinking to good, right thinking, and to turn my bad behavior to right behavior. He says the Bible idea of hope and change includes repentance.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:57 None of these groups are calling for a change. Yet in Luke 13:3 the Bible says, unless you repent you shall all likewise perish. Repent is to turn my thinking from bad thinking, harmful thinking, to good thinking, right thinking, and turn my bad behavior to right behavior. And I’ve heard no group. Obama talked about hope, change, but he never mentioned and admitted that these judgments back there were wrong and we need to repent, and asked America to forgive us. His ideal of hope and change was not the Bible ideal of hope and change. But we need to get back to the Bible idea, the Bible principle, of hope and expectation and change. And I’m going to present to you some principles that will bring a solution to this pollution of the sexual revolution.

What is the Bible solution to the sexual revolution?

▶ Watch this part (10:15)

Short answer: He proposes adding the pursuit of moral excellence to our faith, teaching Bible morals (including in public schools), requiring self-control over sexual desires, and using patience to wait and marry one man to one woman for life.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:15 Propose solutions to the sexual revolution, and I submit to these groups, you need to listen and respond to the Bible solution to these things. Number one, we need to add the pursuit of moral excellence to our faith. Whether you have the faith of humanist, there is no God, you’re a Christian, there is a God, or whatever, you need to add the pursuit. We’re not there yet, but we need to say we need to pursue moral excellent, right behavior. Number two, we need to teach the citizens of America the knowledge of Bible moral. We need to get the Bible back into public schools, teaching the principles of moral character. Number three, we need to require people use self-control over sexual desires, and a penalty if they don’t. Number four, we need to use patience to wait and marry one man to one woman for life, and we need to wait pr- through premarital sex and this free sex ideal and sexual revolution, and wait and save sex for marriage.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Peter 1:5-7 (NKJV)

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

— 2 Peter 1:5-7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:39 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

How does Bible morality save lives?

▶ Watch this part (11:34)

Short answer: He says to respect God, who is love, and obey love’s moral laws, because love does no harm to his neighbor. His bottom line: “Bible morality saves lives,” saves medical cost, saves marriages and saves the future of innocent children.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 11:34 Number five, we need to teach respect for God, and remember God is love, and obey love’s moral laws. Whether you believe in God or not, you must believe in love, and love does no harm to his neighbor. So we need to respect love, and we don’t prohibit the free exercise of brotherly love. Brotherly love are those that do exercise moral principles. And we need to honor the Bible love, to do no harm to anyone, and punish those that do. The bottom line is, Bible morality saves lives, it saves medical cost, it saves marriages. Bible morality saves the life and the future of innocent children.

What does 2 Peter 1 teach about the solution?

▶ Watch this part (12:36)

Short answer: He says Second Peter chapter 1 gives the principles of a solution: admit we are wrong, repent, and change laws. He says whether you are a humanist or a Christian you have no excuse to harm others, so Americans must make the right judgment.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:36 And I submit to you that Second Peter chapter 1 gives us the principles of a solution. We must admit we are wrong, we must repent from that wrong, and change laws that promote right. The naive and not-so-naive accept and promote harmful sexual behavior. They promote its lies and legalize its preventable diseases, deaths and monetary harm, and especially harm to innocent children. I’ve given you alarming forensic facts, and the Bible has given us a solution. Whether you are a humanist or whether you are a Christian, you have no excuse, no excuse to harm others. So, Americans, we presented to you the facts; now you must make the right judgment.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor note: the captions give “Gara” as one of the two diseases, read here as gonorrhea; the name of the 13-year-old boy he mentions is garbled in the captions and is shown as [unclear]. He names real people and groups (Matthew Shepard, Barack Obama, Planned Parenthood, the teachers unions, the Republican and Democratic parties, the Supreme Court, the American Humanist Association) and speaks about homosexuality, abortion, evolution, the media and a child’s death as his own views; these are kept as spoken. He says Matthew Shepard was killed in Texas; published reports place that killing in Wyoming. His statistics (for example over 30 STDs, $16 billion a year, more than 50% of Americans with an STD, 44% of children in one-parent homes, 85% of youth in prison from single-parent homes, 40% unplanned births, 45,000 military men raped in 30 years, 1.2 million abortions a year, 500 teachers a year) are given with the sources he names (the CDC, the Department of Veterans Affairs, USA Today 2012) and have not been checked here.
