God’s people are created for His army, but He deals with sin first. Jesus came for the sick; humble yourself, repent, and be set apart as a new creation. God’s goal isn’t a certain kind of preacher but a whole people of living stones and priests united around His cause.

What potential do God’s people have?

▶ Watch this part (0:03)

Short answer: Created in His image to be in His army—but He must deal with sin first.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 0:03 As we’ve been talking about God’s people have so much potential you have been created by God in the image of God and you have so much potential we must understand how powerful we can be and that’s where God wants to bring us he doesn’t want you to sit back and just believe he’s up in the sky somewhere or believe that years ago he created everything he wants you active and living and excited for him today amen and so there’s power in the people of God or at least there can be remember God is the captain of the host he’s the captain of an army who’s in his army are we are say that oh man if I was in the military and I heard it like that I would be like what I’m going into battle with them.

▶ 1:01 Who’s in his army okay we’re getting there we’re getting there where’s the marines. At but before we get on the battle feld we have to deal with our condition and the great thing about Christ is that he has the power to deal with our condition amen Ephesians 2:1 says you were dead in trespass passes in sins you understand these the way he’s talking you were that was in the past you were not are do you want to be an r you want to be a were I want to be a were I want to get it out of here right amen I was dead in trespasses and sins and you see this dealing with the sin and trespasses can be offensive but God has to deal with it so he can bring you to his army.

▶ 2:00 Right he want he want he has to deal with it so he can make you a powerful Christian serving. Him 1 Corinthians 6:9 do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God so first of all you can’t even get to where he’s at if you will not cooperate and go along with his word and his truth don’t be deceived right now a lot of people are speaking a lot of things a lot of messages are being sh shared by the world and by uh by even churches we can’t be deceived we got to stick with the scriptures and this is Paul first Corinthians Paul wrote this and I bring that up because people use Paul to excuse their sin and not deal with their sin but here he’s sharing neither fornicators idolators fornicators someone who has sex outside of marriage or before marriage you know you’re not married yet you have sex this is a young person kind of thing or you know could have been anybody.

▶ 3:08 Idolators adulterers that means when you’re married and you have sex outside of your marriage you are uh homosexuals having sex with the same sex sodomites thieves people that are stealing it doesn’t matter if the if the community is approving it or if the state okays it it doesn’t matter it’s still wrong in whose eyes in God’s eyes in God’s law and yes we got to keep God’s law and that’s what he’s sharing. Here nor covetous those who are going to uh you know they want something that somebody else has to the point where they’re going to take it.

▶ 3:48 Drunkards this is intoxication has to do with alcohol and drugs and I want to remind you please in the church this is a familyfriendly environment we want to keep that stuff out of here I’m going to ask you please do not bring the the stuff the the drugs and the alcohol here okay this is stuff that we need to address that God wants to put behind us out of respect for his house out of respect for the children and the families please keep that out of the church do we understand are we okay with that nor revilers you see our m mouths as we know it can be like a fire it says in James our tongue can be like a fire we can curse our brother we can use our mouths to hurt one another I’ve seen it time and time again nor extortioners people that are trying to exploit others for money we’re not here trying to exploit you exploit you the scriptures say my house is called a house of what prayer and when we come in that is our goal to meet with God to meet with Christ to meet with.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (NKJV)

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Whom did Jesus come for?

▶ Watch this part (5:04)

Short answer: The sick, not the well—He freed the demon-possessed man, who went and told the city.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 5:04 Jesus amen am it’s a time to reflect on what his word says what his truth. Says amen I’m not here to sell you insurance I work for mercury. Insurance but I’m not here to sell you on insurance I’m here to show you uh we’re here I’m sorry not me for get about. H we’re here cuz this is the house of prayer this is God’s house amen. Amen when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eating with the tax collectors and sinners they said to his disciples how is it that he eats with and drinks with tax collectors and sinners you got to remember Jesus when he came he went straight to the sinners if you feel like you’re a sinner today those online you feel like you’re a sinner he came to you and he’s still coming to us sinners amen he’s still coming to the tax collectors and he’s still coming to the the everyone.

▶ 6:13 And when Jesus heard he said those who are well have no need of a physician but those who are what sick I did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance you know when he met the the woman in the temple and the man in the temple that were waiting for Jesus there was a woman there who was is fasting and praying she was blameless uh John the baptist parents they were blameless you know Jesus wasn’t coming to them repent from your blamelessness he’s coming to the sinner he’s coming to those who won’t keep who reject who refuse it’s time to. Change and Jesus is coming to them saying hey you’re sick. Hello Lazarus was what sick he was dead in the tomb Jesus came to Lazarus who was dead and in the tomb and you can be spiritually dead in your life and Jesus is coming to you and he’s trying to call your name.

▶ 7:20 But we want to keep the rock over the tomb do you understand what I’m saying. Christ has come to give you a new heart he’s come to remove it says in Jeremiah I’ve come to remove a stony heart Jesus said to them who were there at Lazarus’s tomb remove the stone and us people have a hard time removing the stone the hardness in our hearts we want to approve we want to wait hold on Jesus God wants to come and tell me what to do I’m fine in this darkness in this uh rat infested in this worm situation I’m fine with that you. Are. No no thank.

▶ 8:18 You remember Jesus came to these dark sinners Jesus went and uh came across a man who was demon-possessed. And he’s hanging out at the tombs in darkness you remember this man he the demon gave him strength and he could break. Chains and Jesus wasn’t. Afraid this guy comes up his name is legion and you know he comes and he is bowing at the feet of Jesus you know the demons have no power against. Christ and he healed that man and he cast out those demons but even that man who was in darkness he was hanging out in the tombs Jesus came to. Him and that man submitted to.

▶ 9:14 Christ and he went into the city and he said he told him what had happened he was in his right mind it says in the Bible don’t we want to get in a right mind don’t we want to get the influence of the kingdom of darkness out of our heart and out of our life let’s get it kick it. Out the religious scribes and Pharisees thought they knew everything and they rejected Christ some did not like nicodemus and some scribes and Pharisees were humble but many were not humble they had pride and that’s what Americans have to deal with that’s what you and me we got to deal with our pride where we think we know better than this book that was written thousands of years ago that book is old it’s outdated oh didn’t the book is written years ago the book has been messed up the book no the book is truth and it will.

Mark 2:17 (NKJV)

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 5:15-20 (NKJV)

Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine. Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region. And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.

How are we exalted?

▶ Watch this part (10:25)

Short answer: He who humbles himself will be exalted; Lazarus came forth when called.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 10:25 Work Luke 14:11 whoever exalts himself will be humbled and he who humbles himself will be exalted that’s what the scriptures say in Jesus I hav’t read letters here I want you to know what Jesus is saying okay it’s. Important and Jesus is confirming hey you need to humble yourself and this is big for America we must humble ourselves we think we know everything and sometimes it’s not that we just want we know everything we want to stick with uh what feels good and comfortable okay we want to we’re okay with doing whatever the flesh wants to do and we don’t want to listen we don’t want to obey you know because nothing bad is happening you know so well we’re.

▶ 11:14 Comfortable now I want to remind you the song said some people change thank God for those who make it let them be the light right there’s people that are changing of such were some of you that scripture came up Paul is saying he’s he’s bringing up these examp some of you were this way and Christ wants to bring his people and that’s what I want to remind you today that you have such potential it’s not about the leaders it’s not about the preacher it’s not about the worship leader it’s not about the the the mega church down the road or somewhere else God is looking at you and he’s got you have such potential and power to change this. World but it’s got a start with us it’s got to start with our response to his word Ephesians chapter 2 verse one and you he what say it with me what is it made alive made.

▶ 12:15 Alive he’s at the tomb of Lazarus what did he do to him he called him he said Lazarus what come forth and what did he do to Lazarus he what made him. Alive are you alive have you been made alive has a word of God come into your spirit and made you. Alive God’s word is powerful I’m not I I don’t know why I’m. Excited who were dead in trespasses and sins 1 Corinthians 6:11 the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God we already read that and of such were some of you I think I already read that too but you were say it with me. Washed have you been washed have you been. Cleansed have we receiv received that washing from.

What does sanctified mean?

▶ Watch this part (13:12)

Short answer: Set apart—your spiritual man can be alive even on a deathbed; His Spirit convicts and influences.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 13:12 Christ you were sanctified what does that mean you set apart are we letting Christ set us apart set us apart from what from the world the world is on the great and wide road. And there is a narrow road that we’re traveling on we’re set apart it’s a different road it’s a different path does that mean we’re better than anybody no it just means that we’re following Christ but that also indicates that there is a separation a sanctification and I’m just you know bringing this up because you there’s got to be a change when you hear this stuff and that the sin that we got to repent from there is a change that must. Happen but you are you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by the spirit of our God I remember being a young person I was working at the school we had a school back in brea carbon canyon and I came in and I you know was young teenager I worked there since I was from 16 till I was 19 years.

▶ 14:25 Old and uh you know my Pastor Barnes he sees me he’s like mik how you doing I’m like you know I’m like uh I’m all. Right and you know like m I’m just I don’t know man you know I come you know a young person we’re just always you know you don’t know what’s going on you got always got a problem and uh he reminded me and said remember there’s no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus and that’s important to remember you see when you’re headed to him when you’re growing and you’re following him there’s no condemnation when you are in Christ Jesus and so the question today are you in Christ are you in Christ or are you in Satan’s kingdom are you in Christ are you in the world are you in God’s word are you in your own word are you in God’s word are you in somebody else’s message what are you in because if you’re in Christ some something is going to happen and while you’re in Christ and in his hand he’s not going to let you go he will never leave you nor forsake you such a powerful.

▶ 15:51 Promise remember life is temporary you may be physically on your deathbed but your spiritual man is alive and strong wouldn’t you rather have. That hey well how about hey how about having both men alive and strong right that would be nice too but I wouldn’t want to be the iron man athlete olympic athlete the uh gold medalist and my spirit is. Dead I don’t want to be a bodybuilder strong the strongest man can lift you know brian shaw oh man look at me but my spirit is what dead. No Christ has so much to offer God’s. People and we want to experience this washing we want to experience this sanctifying and this justification by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by what the Spirit.

▶ 16:54 We need his spirit that spirit will come and it will influence you with the spirit will convict you the spirit will speak to you and we have a responsibility of whether or not we are going to what. Listen I’m sure through the many words I’ve spoken so far at least one thing the spirit has brought up to you has that happened to you yet have you experienced. That acts chap 7 1930 truly these times of ignorance God overlooked but now commands all men everywhere to repent you know the Old Testament you look and it’s all about the story about Israel on Israel’s special people and Israel look at look at oh man look at Jacob look at king David oh they’re all in part what about the rest of the world well time’s up he’s looking at the rest of the world now in an acts Luke the writer he says these times of ignorance God overlooked.

Is repentance a command?

▶ Watch this part (17:59)

Short answer: Yes—God now commands all men everywhere to repent; in Christ we are a new creation.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 17:59 And now commands all men everywhere to repent there’s a difference between a command and a demand does anybody know what the difference is a demand is someone who does not have the authority when your child demands something it’s a demand why because they don’t have the authority when God says something and requires something it’s a what why because he has the authority. He has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in. Righteousness and we can say oh God is unfair you’re not going to be able to say that when you stand before him I guarantee it because he’s trying to reach you he’s tr giv you so many choices and options he’s giv you so many ways to.

▶ 18:55 Overcome he’s given you opportunity and chances and he’s given you a way you can respond and when you stand before him he’s going to judge in righteousness and we won’t have any. Excuse he has given assurance of this to all by raising him from the dead the proof that Jesus is alive today is that you can call on Christ and he will come and we’ve experienced that in our services God has come you know when we’re up here singing I can feel God when I’m singing about Christ I can feel Christ you can feel the presence of God you can feel the spirit of God moving when you call on Christ doesn’t happen if I call on muhammad doesn’t happen if I call on another God doesn’t happen no no there’s nothing.

▶ 19:53 There 2 Corinthians 5:17 if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation old things have passed away behold all things have become new so I got this word underlined say it with me what does it say. Anyone so who is this promise for all of us the whole world everyone out there everyone in another country it’s not just an American thing christianity is not just a a American thing it’s a whole world it’s a global thing anyone who is in Christ and there’s people all over the world that are gathering in in underground churches in caves and churches they’re hiding their services to gather together they’re meeting at the threat of their life because they want to be what in.

▶ 20:45 Christ they want to serve Christ with all of their heart he is a new creation when Lazarus came out of that grave he was a new creation God wants to make you to a new creation Lazarus had a heart that was dead he had a organs in his body that were rotting and Jesus when he said come forth he made all of those things come back together he made that heart start beating again he made that blood start flowing again and by the power of Christ he raised Lazarus from the dead and he wants to do the same thing in your spiritual. Life people don’t understand the impact that having a spiritual alive person does on what we call now mental.

Can Christ help mental health?

▶ Watch this part (21:42)

Short answer: Touch the Healer—the Prince of Peace—and experience the newness of the new covenant.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 21:42 Health on your joy on your state of mind they say that mental health is a big issue in America well we’ve got to touch the healer of the mental. Health you know he has a name it’s called the what prince of what. Peace he’s called the king of kings Jehovah Jireh Lord of lords he’s call he’s got so many names that address mental health. And this goes back to the new covenant all shall know me from the least to the greatest your sins and your iniquities I will remember no more I will write my law in your heart and in your mind I will give you a new heart I will put a new spirit in you so what is this new.

▶ 22:59 Creation we’re talking about these are the things he’s talking about this is a new covenant and a covenant is a promise it’s an unbreakable promise that he has for all of us anyone therefore anyone who is in Christ is a new creation all things have become new what has become new you can know. God your sins and your iniquities you will remember no more you don’t have to uh let that pass drag you down you go to Christ he’ll take it. Away he’ll write his law in your heart and in your mind he’ll give you a new heart and a new spirit a new perspective this addresses again mental health people are wanting to commit suicide and do all kind I mean that’s the that’s the most extreme thing it’s happening a lot but God wants to give you a new heart a new mind.

▶ 23:59 And God’s question today is have we experienced the newness that Christ. Brings have we experienced the fulfillment of this promise in our lives Christ wants to bring his people to this powerful goal he wants to change your outlook and it is available for. Everyone we’ve been learning about the remnant Luke 8 vers 11 the seed is the word of God but the one that falls on the good ground are those who having heard the word with a noble and good heart keep it and bear fruit with patience this remnant we’ve been talking about in past lessons you can go look them up on our youtube channel but the remnant are those who respond to the seed the seed is what the word of God see the word the seed is being thrown out you guys we have all kinds of word hitting us hitting us there I mean you can have more of it hitting you if you if we listen to it if we read it during the week.

Who bears fruit?

▶ Watch this part (25:12)

Short answer: Those who hear the word with a noble heart and keep it—the multitude no one can number.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 25:12 The ones that fell on good ground are those who having heard the word with a noble and good heart how are you how are we hearing God’s. Word noble other word would be honest can you be honest with God when his word comes are you honest with what it’s saying and are you receiving it with a good and honest. Heart are we accepting it are we receiving that word and keeping it see there’s action involved g these are Jesus’s words remember this is his parable right right I don’t have it as red letters but it is red letters but there’s an action involved it’s not just believing about of a God far away it’s not just faith you know I believe in oh yes I believe I got my necklace on with the cross don’t you see.

▶ 26:18 It it’s also receiving his word and keeping it and that’s what we learned about the remnant they keep the commandments of God and also so they bear fruit with patience as a young person like that story I told you it takes some time before your fruit starts to. Bear and so you can’t just you know rip everyone apart it takes time for us to bear. Fruit after these things I looked and behold the great multitude which no one could number of all nations tribes and peoples and tongues standing before the throne before the lamb clothed with right white robes with palm branches in their hands crying with a loud voice saying salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the lamb all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God saying amen blessing and glory and wisdom thanksgiving and honor and power and might be be to our God.

▶ 27:38 Forever in heaven there’s going to be a multitude which no one can what. Number you ever heard that song oh wi those saints oh in the oh when those saints oh when those saints go marching in I want to be be in that number oh when the saints go marching in it’s not like there’s only a few it’s not like oh there’s only 140 over there I see there’s a couple no there are a there is a multitude that no man can number in heaven I want to be in that number do you want to be in that number. And you see that multitude is a witness against.

▶ 28:32 Us they changed they responded they followed God’s word what’s wrong with. Us and what are they doing they’re crying out with a loud voice we got to get loud cody be loud for a second all right get. Loud hallelujah. Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and all the angels stood around they worshiped can we worship God again I just I point these things out because it’s all over the Bible you know the where do we get this idea that we shouldn’t worship every Sunday I’ve got a different scripture that says. Worship where’s our worship in heaven they’re worshiping the multitudes worshiping the angels are worshiping why why don’t we.

▶ 29:30 Worship I love. You we’re not better than the angels we can bless the lamb we can give God glory amen. And as Americans maybe. Californians it’s possible that we become very comfortable and do not prioritize God in our lives and I understand it’s very busy you know I’ve been working like mad to get to do all the stuff that we have to do there’s a lot of work you got to do in california you’re going to be working hard but you can still prioritize God remember make room that’s what we talked about last week you got to make room in your life for God and if you don’t have any room you’re going to have to say okay that’s got to go see that light over there it’s that’s taking up too much.

▶ 30:39 Space we’ve got to make room in our lives for. God I want to be in that number Matthew 13:19 the wicked one comes and snatches away the word in the heart those that’s the seed that falls by the wayside if you see that seed there it’s sitting on the asphalt right as fault is hard or soft h it’s hard that’s right it can’t get through the seed can’t get. Anywhere and then we have the seed on stony ground immediately a person receives it with joy but they have no root in thems but it only endures for a while they have still have hardness in their heart oh yes I want to receive Jesus yes but they have all this hardness and God can’t he got nowhere to grow the word of God can’t. Grow cuz they’re still in charge they got all these rocks in their heart.

▶ 31:38 The cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word and becomes unfruitful so the word falls on a decent place in the soil but you got all of these things pulling you different places different directions you know as a young person that’s happening to you right now as an adult is you got a family that’s happening to you right now getting pulled out the cares of this. World but we’ve got to respond we must respond to the word of God follow the leader I got a picture here of mr Joel ostein with his congregation he’s got a lot of people in the back you got the church uh leader of the mormon church here the pope as you know millions come to see him my goodness they like wow he’s got crowds of people in America joyce meers she’s a woman.

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

What is God’s goal for His people?

▶ Watch this part (32:41)

Short answer: Not a certain kind of preacher, but all of us as living stones and a holy priesthood.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 32:41 Pastor m uh a lot of people follow her but I want to point out shortly here at the end of this God’s goal and God’s uh plan for his people Genesis 49:10 says the scepter shall not not depart from Judah nor a lawgiver from between his feet until the messiah comes who is the messiah Jesus Christ and unto him unto who unto Christ shall the gathering of the people be it’s very important that we are gathering to who. Christ God’s goal is that people he wants to reach people and he uses leaders to reach people but it’s important that we do not turn around and start worshiping the leader and the leader loves the recognition they get oh my gosh look at all this.

▶ 33:37 Success but our goal should be to let Christ change. Us to become in his army Luke 8:8 Revelation 2:7 say the same thing who he who has an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying to the church not the leaders not whoever’s up here it’s the spirit of God it’s important for us to hear the spirit of God and we’re not going to hear unless we are asking the spirit you know this time at the end when we have time a prayer time you can come down you can ask the spirit and say please I pray speak to me open up my understanding tell me search my heart oh God Lord I want to speak your truth your message convict me the Holy Spirit wants to teach convict give you strength and power and everything.

▶ 34:53 Else we have to have a young preacher we have to have a successful business preacher we have to have an inspirational preacher we have to have a diverse preacher we have to have a woman preacher that will solve our problem will that solve our problem will that make us better no. No Psalms 127 unless the Lord builds the house what is the house you’ll find out. They labor in vain who build it unless the Lord guards the city the watchman stays awake in vain 1 Peter 2:5 helps us understand you also as living stones are being built up a what spiritual. House Christ wants to build your life your spiritual.

▶ 35:51 House as living stones being built a spiritual house a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacri sacrif ies acceptable to God through Jesus. Christ this is important to understand in the Old Testament you had to be born of Aaron’s family to become a priest you had to be born of a certain family does anybody hear a descendant of Aaron. No only a select few few could become a priest but Jesus Jesus has changed things and he wants to make everyone of you in this room every one of us a priest we don’t have to go through the pope we don’t have to go through the Jewish priest we don’t have to go through Aaron we don’t have to go through the pastor we can know Christ ourselves like the new covenant says all shall know me from the least to the greatest.

▶ 36:54 And so God’s goal is that all of us become priests and all of us uh come to a place where we can offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God and that doesn’t mean we all become leaders and we start fighting with each other oh I’m in charge you’re you’re a I’m in charge I’ve got the spir no that’s not what he’s talking about there’s a unity involved there is a unity that comes it’s like being in battle with an you’re with you’re fighting a battle. I don’t know you know when you get into that place and you’re shooting and you’re with your brother you don’t care what color of hair they got you don’t care what they just did you know they got your back you’re fighting alongside. Them the goal is to win in the battle amen.

▶ 37:53 Am as David said is there not a cause can we get united around God’s. Cause around his harvest remember the scriptures say the laborers are few he’s looking for more people out there laboring in the field and I want to stop and recognize and say thank you to all of you guys the scriptures say that every joint supplies. You guys coming on Friday nights you don’t understand you know miss woods had prepared everything or not everything prepared a lot of stuff but we need each other people went out they invited everybody had a part that they offered and because we were united it all worked did you guys experience that did you see.

▶ 38:52 That you know a week ago we had the the family and goie and her her family they were passing out hot chocolate being kind and welcoming to. Guests we had people helping making gingerbread houses and uh these people were. Affected you see we can all come and contribute and it goes back to the statement is they’re not a cause we came with a cause amen we weren’t fighting with each other brother and saying oh I don’t like that gingerbread I don’t like that you didn’t do. That remember the cause it’s important the scriptures say every joint supplies as the church you know the pastor isn’t the the the he-man or the great one because he can do nothing without everybody’s help and that’s truth.

▶ 40:00 Amen every joint supplies that’s what the scriptures say Daniel 11:32 even surrounded by wickedness the people who know who know their God shall be what say it strong and carry out great exploits and those of the people who understand shall instruct. Many and so here we see that in Daniel 11 that the people who know their God God shall be strong God wants to make us strong it’s not just for the leaders we’re talking about God’s. People and also he wants us to understand to a place that we can instruct you know I don’t have to be the one up here talking other people we can instruct you can instruct people on the side when you’re talking when you’re sharing in our fellowship time we can instruct one another and sharing the scriptures sharing the truth encouraging one another remember we want to encourage we want to edify exhort and comfort one.

▶ 41:09 Another now this now by this we know that we know him if we keep his commandments so going back to this statement the people who know their God amen so how do we know our God if we what keep his commandments and he who says I know him but does not keep his commandments is a what liar okay this is John talking I didn’t say this stuff I’m just I’m just here here it. Is Psalm 16:11 says in your presence is fullness of joy I don’t know if you’ve experienced the presence before the presence of God is powerful he’ll come in the room uh in in Israel when they were traveling from Egypt to the promised land the presence of God was in the form of a cloud by day and the form of a pillar of fire by.

▶ 42:10 Night and still the people did not listen did not obey and they rejected. God and as powerful as the presence of God is and as powerful and as wonderful as it’s it’s it’s so good it’s a reminder of how that God is real that he is true to his word does what he says inhabits the praises of his people but if we don’t listen on the other side if we don’t obey the word of God we’re missing the balance to this presence and I’m bringing that up because of this scripture here 1 John. 2:3 by this we know if we know him if we keep his commandments see the person who knows God is the one who experienced the presence and they responded by keeping his word see that’s the goal that God comes with his presence.
