What happened in Jesus’ hometown?

▶ Watch this part (22:07)

Short answer: A word shared during worship: they were offended at Him; prayer to not be like that hometown—“I dare to believe.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 22:07 God wants to. Is we’re experience. Jesus left there and went to his hometown accompanied by his disciples and when the Sabbath came he began to teach in the synagogue and many who heard were amazed.

▶ 23:02 They said where did this man get these things what is this wisdom that he has been given him isn’t this Mary’s son aren’t his sisters with us his brothers. And they took offense at him. Jesus said to them a prophet is not without honor except in his own town among his relatives and in his own home he could not do any miracles there except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them he was amazed at their lack of faith oh that we would be today and like um the the lame man said Jesus I believe but help my unbelief. That we would not be like Jesus’s hometown that we would not shut him out because we’re distracted by some human thing by some natural thing oh but we would embrace Jesus’s teachings that we would be faithful have faith in his teachings and in his word and in his power oh that we would not turn away but we would believe.

▶ 24:13 And yet help our unbelief Lord Jesus oh Lord God help us not to be like that hometown oh that we would not turn away that we would not be offended but we would continue to move towards you Jesus and cry out to you again and again even if it doesn’t work the first time if we don’t see results right away all that we would not give up in following after you Jesus oh empower us today Lord God give us the strength. Foreign. That mountain still moves.

▶ 25:53 So don’t be afraid stand up and say I dare to believe. Oh Jesus. That mountain still moves. And demons not sleep for the God that we serve he is much more than able. So don’t be afraid stand up and say I dare to believe. I dare to believe. That miracles happen. That mountain still moves mountains.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 6:1-6 (NKJV)

Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him. And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.

Who reached out to touch Jesus?

▶ Watch this part (26:48)

Short answer: People from Judea, Jerusalem, Tyre and Sidon; an invitation to come forward and touch Christ for healing.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 26:48 And demons. So don’t be afraid stand up and say I dare to believe. So don’t be afraid stand up and say I dare to believe. Foreign. There’s another story in the scriptures.

▶ 37:54 As he. Goes by. Jesus we thank you Lord that you give us the faith to stand but Lord we also realize there are those Lord who didn’t have faith and yet you saw their condition and you loved them Lord and you touch them regardless and Lord we thank you today and we acknowledge that your presence is here Lord to heal your presence is here so we’re lifting up those Lord that may be too discouraged to even lift their eyes to you but we lift our eyes and we lift our hands Lord for our friends and we ask you God that you will touch and you will heal and you will strengthen Lord Lord you asked do you want to be well.

▶ 38:58 Lord you even asked do you want to be well yes Lord we want to be well filled with the Holy Spirit filled with fire filled Lord with the ability to lay our hands on the hurting Lord to see the power of God working as you did in those days you’re the same today Lord and we know we have faith and we stand Lord and we believe Jesus and we anticipate great things moving forward Lord God we expect and we anticipate and we look forward to greater days of the manifestation of your power in us Jesus. And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.

Who is God in the flesh?

▶ Watch this part (40:00)

Short answer: The Word made flesh—Jesus, Immanuel, God with us; those who receive Him become children of God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 40:00 You may find your seats this morning I was better than any song I thought of hallelujah. It’s important when we come to church or when you go to church wherever you’re at that you come knowing that you can touch and reach out to the real resurrected Jesus Christ. The scriptures say that he ascended into heaven two thousand years ago that he rose from the grave and ascended into heaven he is alive today. And he inhabits the praises of his people it’s very imperative it’s required it’s it’s so important if you come to church and you’re not seeking the person of Jesus Christ God the father the Holy Spirit you’re missing out on a powerful experience.

▶ 40:58 With God. Powerful promises. Amen. In John 1:1 it talks about God in the flesh it tells us and gives us a story about who God is in the beginning was the word and we know this word spoke and said let there be light amen. The word was with God the word was God. All things were made through him very important they did not happen by accident they did not evolve from nothing they were made through who. The word God. In him was life and the life was the light of men John 1:14 the word the word it says that is God the word that is with God the word that is at the beginning came in.

▶ 42:09 Flesh. And who is that we know him as Jesus. His other name that they said in the Old Testament was Immanuel God with us. It’s very important to understand that we want to reach out and touch the person of God Jesus Christ we want to touch the father. Everything that he has every promise every identity the king of kings the Lord of lords the Holy Spirit you want it all so reach out do not do not hesitate and do not sit back and let God go by you know that song is so true that happened and there’s two cases in the Bible where that happened.

▶ 43:00 On the road to Emmaus God after he rose from the grave he appeared to two men and he was going to he was walking with them and talking with them and they were going to stop in a city and he was going to keep going. It says he was going to keep going but they what they constrained him they stopped him and said wait. You’ve got to come with us. And so Christ went with them. And you see God is not here to force himself into your life. He wants you to know that he’s available that you can touch him you can know him but he’s not going to force you to serve him he’s not going to force himself on you you have to invite him you have to seek him you have to bring him unto yourself.

▶ 43:55 Just like the story we heard earlier the people from all judea and Jerusalem and Tyre and Sidon they came out. And sought the Lord. Very important very important this person. Jesus God in the flesh we need to seek after him. God has placed on the person of Jesus Christ it says full that he is full of grace and truth amen. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life so it’s very important what he says that we listen to John 1:12.

▶ 44:48 All born of God those who believe in his name and received him to them he gave the right to become children of God now we want that result don’t we we want to become children sons and daughters of God amen. Because Jesus is the only begotten son I want to be his brother I want to be a son of God don’t you yes we become children of God when we receive Christ and that’s what these people were doing Gentiles and Jews were receiving Christ. They were seeking him out. Jesus the only begotten son of God who is also our savior he is also our king he is our Lord he is our shepherd.

▶ 45:43 And you bring that we bring that up because we should be following the shepherd. Following his voice. Following his word it’s important to accept every identity that Christ has amen. He is the lamb very important that you accept him as the lamb he is the sacrifice for your sin that died on the cross when the lamb was uh he was the only one worthy to open that scroll he is the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world the messiah. And we become sons and daughters of God by receiving this. Jesus Christ. It’s very important we understand that how important God is in our lives John 1:18 no one has seen God at any time the only begotten son who is in the bosom of the father he has declared him so Christ has seen God he has seen the full majesty the full glory of God.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 1:1-14 (NKJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

How has God revealed Himself?

▶ Watch this part (46:57)

Short answer: To Noah, Abraham and Moses, but fully through the Son—hear Him, as at the transfiguration.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 46:57 And Jesus has come to declare unto us God’s words God’s message it’s very important that the the God of the universe full of glory and majesty if you stood before him in your earthly body you would explode because he’s just that great. If you saw his face you wouldn’t be able to stand it your heart would not be able to handle. The experience. God revealed himself to Adam and Eve in the garden. He walked in the garden he talked with them Cain he spoke to Cain after he killed Abel even before he killed Abel he said hey you need to address your bad heart.

▶ 47:51 Your sinful heart amen. God spoke to Noah and told him to build an ark that he was coming with a flood God spoke to Abraham about the promise of his son and the children of Israel God spoke to Moses through the burning bush. And God spoke to Solomon after he had built the temple very important God reveals himself to us not his full glory and his splendor but he still reveals himself so when you hear you can’t see God or you can’t hear God that’s not true okay you can hear him just like these men in the Bible were had a message revealed unto them and maybe the message is simple a little more simple but still God will speak to you and reveal himself to you just not his full majesty.

▶ 48:52 Not not the way that he’s revealed himself to Christ you agree with that right Christ has seen it all everything the full the whole thing. He came in the whirlwind. He came in a cloud he came in the form of a man or just a voice but no one has seen him Moses came the closest as you know on the mountain he said show me your glory and God said okay you can see my back. And Moses saw the back of God when he came down the mountain what happened to Moses’s face his face was shining. Bright. And people were like what happened to you. And he just saw the back of God it’s all God came to Solomon after he had built the temple and God spoke and said in second Chronicles 7 14 if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land there’s a lot if statements there a lot of if and it’s like it’s like coding if you do this then and there’s a lot in there if my people will humble themselves just like these people that came out to sought to seek Jesus they humbled themselves in the scriptures you got to humble yourself.

▶ 50:23 Okay if you’re going to ignore God and just not uh be sincere he has no he doesn’t need to respond. But we have to humble ourselves we have to seek his face turn from our wicked ways that’s important God may be trying to deal with you and get you to recognize something for years to turn from and you don’t understand or you don’t get it you don’t want to change no no God wants you to change. Amen. It’s time to put our excuses aside put the wicked thing aside what does the Bible say lay aside every what wait. The sin that so easily entangles us lay it aside. And then I will hear from heaven forgive their sin and heal their land.

▶ 51:21 That is a good formula that we should follow. And uh it’s very important. Peter James and John saw the transfigured Christ. Saul of Tarsus saw Jesus on the road to damascus. If you know that story he was persecuting the church and God met him on the road said why are you persecuting me. 500 in the Bible saw Christ before his ascension that after he was raised from the grave after he raised himself from the grave in Matthew 17:5 it’s important to understand what God is after here while he was still speaking behold a bright cloud overshadowed them and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud saying this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.

▶ 52:17 Are we pleasing the father do we care about pleasing God God’s calling all of us to please him to serve him and then he says what here. Him so the point of all the Revelation or meeting with God is not so that you can just feel his presence we sang songs about his presence this morning but the goal is so that we can hear what God is saying to us what is God saying to you we want to hear his voice either through the scriptures or through the Revelation of the scriptures this morning when Stephanie started reading that scripture you know we read that story you’ve heard that story but God is making it alive and real amen.

▶ 53:16 Revelation 2:7 he who has an ear let him hear what the spirit says to the churches so we’ve got to hear what the son is saying we’ve got to hear what what the spirit is saying we’ve got to hear what God is saying amen. So don’t just stick with one thing you want to hear the whole message from everybody where all I want God I want to hear God I want to hear Christ I want to hear the spirit amen and what they’re saying should all be the same the spirit’s not going to contradict God God is not going to contradict his son this son is not going to contradict God and that’s what he said many times. Right he said to the Pharisees I’m here speaking what God has told me to speak.

▶ 54:12 And the Holy Spirit in Christ are going to confirm what God is saying so I say that because if you hear a voice and it’s not it does not go along with one of those identities you got a problem. Right. And there’s a lot of voices in your head. Okay it can be you it can be a friend it can be the kingdom of darkness it could be a lie you know if it’s a lie you know that’s not truth God’s not gonna lie God cannot lie you realize some some things here okay if you hear a lie in your head that is not God. God cannot lie God makes this really simple it’s like easy math arithmetic one plus one two plus two it’s not hard. If it is a lie it’s not God.

▶ 55:09 Amen. But we got to seek after like these uh Peter James and John they went with Christ to the top of the mountain amen they followed Christ they went with him and some and because they were with him because they were following him they experienced something that other people did not. Luke chapter 5 17 as he was teaching. Jesus comes to heal our doctrine he we have his red letters in the Bible his word spoken from his mouth we have those healing doctrines amen.

What power was present?

▶ Watch this part (56:05)

Short answer: The power of the Lord to heal—and the mystery of Christ in you, the hope of glory.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 56:05 He was there to clear up the problems that the Pharisees and the teachers of the law had he was answering their questions. The power of the Lord was present to heal them there were Pharisees teacher of the law who had come up out of every town of Galilee judea and Jerusalem. And God was healing their doctrine if you remember the scriptures Jesus said all the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments and he’s speaking this to the Jews and he’s trying to help them understand all of the Old Testament hangs on these two commandments and what are they to love God with all your heart mind soul and understanding and to love your neighbor as yourself and so God would challenge them because they said well who’s my neighbor and he challenged them and gave him the message.

▶ 57:12 Colossians 1:27 to the saints God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles which is Christ in you the hope of glory so Christ is in us and people we want people to touch the Christ that is in us. It’s not about touching our personality or how wonderful we are we’re very charisma on my very care we’re I’m not a very charismatic person if you may be a charismatic person you may be this or that maybe you think your personality is wonderful it’s not about you. It’s about who Christ. In you and what is he he is the hope of glory amen we need people to connect with the Christ that is in us.

▶ 58:12 And there’s opposition in Luke 5:17 they were there to catch him in his words they weren’t there to learn they were there to debate with him to be healed uh there’s going to be opposition. When you’re sharing Christ or you have this Christ in you that you’re wanting to share with people there’s going to be opposition they want to catch you in your words they want to debate with you they’re not they don’t want to know God or know Christ. They just want to fight with you first John 2:22 and antichrist is someone who denies that Jesus is the Christ that simple you see how complicated God is he’s not complicated. The Bible says there are many antichrists right if you reject Jesus if you don’t reject him as the Christ the messiah you’re an antichrist and it makes sense it’s right in the name anti you opposed right.

▶ 59:09 Okay if you’re gonna be an antichrist when you go to stand before Christ. We all stand before the judgment seat of who Christ. And you stand there and you’re like this here’s I’m holding my antichrist. And you say here Jesus he’s gonna be like you rejected me. That’s not a that’s not a label I want to have how about you that’s not a mark I want to have. You stand before Christ and you are someone who opposed him. No no thank you. Amen. So in Luke 7:5 17 he was teaching he was healing their doctrine he came and he said to the man who has paralyzed your sins are forgiven and when he said that they were like what you can’t heal you can’t forgive sin you’re not God.

▶ 1:00:10 And he says the same power that it takes to heal sin is the same power I’m going to use to heal this person. And he said to the man I say to you arise take up your bed and walk and go to your house and Christ healed that man. The same power that it took to heal his body is the same power that he used to heal and forgive his sin Christ has the power to do both. And so if you believe that he is healed and forgiven you of your sin you also have to understand it’s with that same power that he can heal you body soul and spirit. He can heal your mind and some of us may not need physical healing maybe our minds are a big problem and I I would I would I would offer that I think most people their minds need some help amen.

▶ 1:01:15 And I have experienced myself being changed over time by the healing of Christ. To overcome many things in my mind. Amen. Whether it’s maybe you’re sensitive may I mean all kinds of things go on in our mind and you hear it all in every story you talk to on youtube I would just I want to I want everybody wants to kill themselves they’re getting into a bad place in their mind. They get to a dark place but Christ can heal your mind. First Thessalonians 5 23 may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely may your whole spirit soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 5:17-24 (NKJV)

Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus. When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

Could Gentiles reach Him?

▶ Watch this part (1:02:18)

Short answer: Yes—they went after Him though He was sent to Israel, and power went out and healed them all.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:02:18 God wants to heal all of you Luke 6:17. Now Steph didn’t know this but this is part of my message today. Okay. And it went her her prophecy went right along with today’s message can you believe that. I did not plan that with her huge I just want you to know that I had no idea she had that scripture and she was going to share that maybe she read my notes I don’t know. But that’s powerful. Uh he came down with them and stood on a level place to the crowd of his disciples and a great multitude people from judea and Jerusalem so there were people in the Jews that wanted to hear Christ’s message they wanted they were seeking after him and it says from the seacoast of tire and saigon that was not part of Israel that was a Gentile city.

▶ 1:03:23 Can you confirm that yes amen okay. And they came to hear him and be healed of their diseases as well those who were tormented with unclean spirits and they were healed so Gentiles were coming out to see Jesus as I already mentioned I already said I already spoiled it okay but everybody was coming out just like when Jesus he rent the veil into and just like the new covenant says all shall know me from what the least to the greatest amen from the Jew to the Gentile from the rich and the poor from the uh the person of status the billionaire to the the millionaire to the one dollar error. Whatever it is that you do or don’t have all shall know me from the least to the greatest.

▶ 1:04:20 And Jesus said this word I have not been sent except to the lost sheep of Israel but see people didn’t care if he was sent to them they went after him and that’s what we need to recognize today. September whatever day it is 17. 2023 are you seeking after Jesus. Jesus is traveling throughout judea and Jerusalem and the the Israel land and he’s got you know appointments and he’s got calendar I’m going to be here on this day I’m going to be here on that day hey. You don’t have to wait for him to come to your spot go and seek him where he’s at. Do we understand that. Today you don’t have to wait for his calendar for him to show up at your location at your city or your state or your country seek him where he may be found.

▶ 1:05:27 Amen. And that’s how the Gentiles were able to meet with Christ even though. Christ was only sent to. The Jews or the Israel sheep of Israel Luke 6:19 the whole multitude sought to touch him for the power went out from him and healed them all we need to touch the power of God it’s important when you come to church it’s important when you’re seeking God are you seeking to touch the power of Jesus Christ. That is what makes the difference. Nothing is going to happen unless the power of God touches people.

▶ 1:06:21 Unless the power of God will heal their doctrine and their sin we we don’t want to spend a lot of time with our natural selves trying to convince people we need them to touch the power of God. And the word of God and Christ can change us in spite of our uh. False and expressing Christ maybe you didn’t say it the right way maybe you didn’t express it the right way maybe you stuttered in your words maybe you said it you know backwards whatever you did if they can touch Christ. That is what people need. And we have to get people we got to get back to a bringing people to Christ not connecting with you we don’t I don’t need them connecting with me I mean the only reason I want them to connect to me is so I can connect them with who Christ because he is the one who does the changing.

What did the woman with the flow of blood show?

▶ Watch this part (1:07:33)

Short answer: She touched Him and He felt power go out—we must prioritize seeking Him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:07:33 Luke 8:43 a woman having a flow of blood for 12 years has spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any she came behind from g from behind Jesus and touched the border of his garment and immediately her flow of blood was stopped. So all her money had been taken by physicians just like um. You know are there churches out there healing ministries that are making a promise if you give them money that you could you’ll be healed and it’s not happening. That’s we don’t want to do that right we want to do it the way God does it we want to bring people to him and Jesus said who touched me and that’s a very important question you need to keep asking yourself Jesus is saying who touched me was it you are you reaching out are you seeking him are you overcoming the obstacles to get to him to seek him out to find him to reach out and touch him.

▶ 1:08:43 Who touched me. I felt power I felt virtue flow out of me. We need to touch Christ. Luke 8:47 when the woman saw she was not hidden she came trembling. And this is important too how do you come to Christ you come with a humble with a humble attitude you come with a right attitude to Christ. She fell down before him she declared to him and all the presence of all the people the reason she had touched him now you know Jesus knows what happened right. Jesus saw her coming through the crowd. Jesus she’s he he knows what’s going on he knows exactly when she touched him.

▶ 1:09:37 But he’s stopping because he wants to make a point to all of us and everybody in the crowd hey this woman. She reached out and touched me I want those people over there and tire on Sidon and all through Judah they came out and they touched me. They sought me. Are we seeking him are we touching him. And you know. It’s not so easy you know today you’re you’re gonna go home and you’re gonna rest and you’re going to get ready for dinner and you’re going to get ready for the week you got things to do you got places to go I mean you have to live your life but in your life you’ve got to set aside some time to seek God and you can’t sit there and be like okay I’m gonna go fly to uh Israel where Jesus no Jesus is not at a physical location he is in he’s near you the kingdom of God is what within you.

▶ 1:10:46 You’ve got to take some time to find out how can I seek God how can I come closer to God. We’ve got to start prioritizing. His. His goals his efforts his the things that he wants to do prayer time a time to reach out to people time to put God’s word into you time to study uh seeking him lifting up at praise and on you don’t have to wait for Sunday to do that you can do that yourself. And her tragedy which was going on for 12 years had stopped in that moment she was healed immediately. And Jesus can change our tragedies.

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 8:43-48 (NKJV)

Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

What did the centurion believe?

▶ Watch this part (1:11:40)

Short answer: In the authority of Christ, with a humble attitude.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:11:40 Luke 7:3 the centurion heard about Jesus. And he sent the elders of the Jews to him pleading with him to come heal his servant now the centurion had a a very humble attitude and he was trying to figure out how do I approach this man I’m not worthy to to come to him he’s uh let’s keep going here they begged Jesus earnestly for and they said for he loves our nation and is built us a synagogue now he sent the elders of the Jews who did not believe in Christ. But because the centurion had given them money and built them a synagogue they would they did it okay. They don’t they’re coming but to him and they don’t believe in him but they’re asking him to heal the centurion servant and the centurion said don’t trouble yourself I’m not worthy that you should enter my root.

▶ 1:12:41 And I do not think myself worthy to even come to you. You know whatever is going on in the centurion’s mind uh. It’s a humble attitude. But you know the the part that didn’t get to this intern is yeah you can come to Christ you can seek Christ but God is going to he wants to show us something here. He says say the word and my servant will be healed see this centurion who was not a Jew. He didn’t know all the customs he knew there was power in the word of Christ. This man had more Revelation. Than the elders of the Jews this man had Revelation at the words of Christ themselves were that powerful.

▶ 1:13:42 And he says it here he says I also am a man placed what under authority and this centurion believed in the authority of Christ. That he was directly connected to God that he was the son of God that he had the power of God and he said to himself if he’s got the power of God then he can do the kind of stuff that I do and just say the word say the commandment he is he has authority. So this man he humbled himself he acknowledged the authority of Jesus Christ and the power of his word and of course his servant was healed.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 7:3-9 (NKJV)

So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, pleading with Him to come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving, “for he loves our nation, and has built us a synagogue.” Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof. Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”

▶ Watch this part (1:14:42)

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

We’ve got to humble ourselves turn from our sin come to him. Seek him. And Christ Jesus has the power to heal our doctrine. To heal our spirit the sin that we have that is keeping us uh. From spiritual strength our spirit has a condition and sin will hurt your spirit.

▶ 1:16:32 The Bible says that we can be dead in trespasses and sins our spirit can be dead is your spirit dead Christ has come to heal to forgive your spirit. And our body God has the power to heal our body and our mind. To minister as your word spoke to them to do through the law and you’ve made us your temple and your tabernacle and you dwell in us but your presence came in such a way that they could not stand to minister they couldn’t do anything more when your presence came and that’s what you do to us Lord your presence comes and melts our hearts Lord it touches our minds our body in a way that nothing else can and that’s our cry today Jesus that we just surrender everything in our mind in our hearts and allow you allow your presence to overcome us Lord Jesus and make us the person the vessel that you desire us to be in this earth Jesus we surrender all to you today Lord.
