Don’t care about the doom and gloom that everybody’s talking about I see a church that’s ready to bloom how are you forget the doom and gloom les bloom that’s a good statement yeah. Man you can get introverted or you can get x diverted you can get conditioned by the things around you or you can get conditioned by God’s words surrounding you God loves his people church and every time I visit a church because I’m looking for God I find him I don’t care if it’s a catholic I don’t care if it’s the baptist I don’t care who it is God loves his people but his presence is not his approval his presence is his drawing power to himself to change you into his image his presence is like a father and a son a father.

So with that we’re gonna talk about a Scripture in 2nd Timothy 1:7 God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind first of all God has given us something not just eternal life not just salvation he has given us a spirit his spirit could that be an amen and that spirit is not to you to be afraid of God I had to get that out of my head as a young Christian God’s for me he’s not against me he’s not out to throw me into the pit I had to get that that mentality out of my brain God.

Supernatural ability God has given me a spirit of love love that does no harm to his neighbor love that endures through all things a spirit of love and a spirit of a sound mind a disciplined mind I’m not some weasel wimp in my mind or my emotions God’s spirit makes me powerful makes me sound and discipline and makes me love like he loves can I hear an amen God has given that to us now. We’re gonna compare the power of electricity and the power of the Christ all right. Electricity has been around since creation since Genesis static electricity you rub this carpet and you put your finger there zap you’re going to get zapped in that right static electricity lightning from heaven zap comes down.

▶ 3:13 Electricity has been around since creation. But it hasn’t been used for 6,000 years it was there but no one ever applied the use of it so the electricity didn’t this world no good. For 6,000 years the same with God God’s power has been around since Adam and Eve but many people in the Bible and today go through their whole lifetime without ever experiencing the power God. Could that be true. We’re so just interested in being saved and going to heaven we don’t realize God has given us more than eternal life more than going to heaven he’s given us a spirit of power of love and a sound discipline mind.

Electricity brings success to the natural world you drove here this morning because of electricity it wasn’t the oil or the gas in your car it was the electricity without electricity all and gas mean nothing without electricity the oil and gas industry would go dead. Way there. We light up our room not with kerosene lanterns but well electricity you see we begin to put electricity to use we applied it and it works we can cool ourselves off with it we can warm ourselves up with it in that right.

Same way with the power of Christ we can have success in the spirit world and eternal life if we put the principles of power to use if we don’t it is worthless to us are you with me and the principles of God are also principles that make you successful in natural life six days show your work work is a principle of God that gives you what an income so you can provide for your family in there right yes. Saving money is a principle of God not spinning it all up and so forth that the principles of God can make you successful and you showed me a hard-working man and woman and I’ll show you a successful men and woman.

▶ 6:05 Both can bring harm or death if not handled by their ruler by their by their rules electricity I told you I went to Cass Tech and I learned how to repair televisions and radios and I was repairing the television in my house on my study desk and I had it unplugged and everything and I knew there were capacitors in that. Tube system those back there when you had tubes cathode ray tvs you know and I knew those capacitors are what stored up electricity with thousands of volts to shoot electrons across and to that screen so you could see a picture and I knew if those capacitors was not discharged I was going to light up but in my bravery I.

Just like that thousands of volts going through I just scooted back about three or four. You see. It can bring harm to you again I was working on and me I was a very creative child I had to tear everything apart to see how it worked I mean that’s just how it was made I had to know well anyway I was working on this project and I cut off the end of a extension cord that was plugged into the wall stripped the wires off strip the insulation off so I could connect this to my project I didn’t have a plug to plug it in I just gonna use this well I dropped the extension cord the extension cord did a little flip-flop and went over and hit the house radiator this house was built in 1913 it had radiators for heat metal radiators that steam would come up and and bring heat into the room this 120 votes hit that radiator and a shot of flame went up five to six inches and I’m sitting there going wow.

▶ 8:26 Number one the flame was mesmerizing the that metals burning and number two my brain goes how come the fuse didn’t blow the fuse should have blown it’s a dead short but it wasn’t a dead short it wasn’t a short that radiator wasn’t grounded enough to totally short that circuit and a flame shot right up and then of course I grabbed that extension cord away from that radiator you see you can get hot and you can get killed if you don’t follow the rules of electricity amen and you can bring harm to your life and you can bring eternal death to your life and physical death here if you don’t follow the rules of God’s power. Is that an amen now.

▶ 9:23 You can feel electricity as I said when that thousands of volts went through me I felt the power of electricity let me tell you so when people in the church do a little shaken relax they may be feeling the power without channeling the power. That was a great statement folks well you guys asleep on me. You see the raw presence of God is is beautiful it’s really something I’ve shivered when I got baptized in water the presence of God came so strong I shook like I did in the streets of detroit when it’s 29 degrees. You know I shook because what I didn’t know how to channel it are you there you know we want to rip on people we want to tear each other down without understanding the whole picture could that be an amen you can actually feel the power of God but you can see the power of God you see you can see the power God in the change of people’s life.

Gonna pass a little knowledge on to you real quick here electricity is determined e.coli times are p equal e I equal y squared I over r where e is voltage that’s the power that pushes the electricity through the wire amps and current is the electricity that is usable and resistance is the wire has a resistance of course and anything put in that circuit has resistance okay it’s measured in ohms this is measured in amps and e is measured in voltage p the power is measured in watts or joules now you got knowledge alright remember knowledge without application that’s what worthless if you don’t know how to apply these equations you’re gonna light up like I did in that tv.

Eternal life is living forever in heaven and a new earth and eternal life is knowing God in Jesus a squared oh. Yeah. Well I thought it was good I.

▶ 12:37 Is not amps its agreeing that you’re a sinner agreeing when you’re wrong and confessing those sins are confessing Jesus Christ as your only savior see that is what’s usable and then our resist the Devil and he will heart flee from you resist the Devil don’t resist God resist the Devil and repent you you resist the Devil by repenting and repenting is a a doctrine that’s just got to be daily almost in our life could that be an amen yeah it’s a very powerful part of the equation and then of course p equals the power of God but let me tell you something if you know equations if any one of these values is zero guess what the equation equals zero.

Knowledge equal pride the Bible says knowledge puffs up knowledge makes you proud we can have all this knowledge of the Bible we can have all this knowledge of electricity and we can be cocky and talk electricity and we can be cocky and talk the Bible. But you notice Fred Flintstone near his car doesn’t have electricity and he can call it a car and he can call it working but it’s his muscle that’s doing the work.

Amen church you’re just Fred Flintstone doing your own thing oh I’m moving I’m moving I’m moving I’m grooving and you’re it’s you no power in it at all knowledge equal pride you can have knowledge of the Bible without ever experiencing the power of God at all and that’s what my heart broke for these people. They never knew they could know God and when I said you could know God they laughed at me and mock me you. Can experience God you can know God you can be empowered by God.

But application equals success you apply the principles of electricity we can send men to the moon we can have cell phones we can have tvs we can have a lot of things because we apply electricity and we can have a lot of things in God if we apply the principles of his power. Application means you use it you work it oh works no works no works no one have nothing to do with works I’ll grow up a man.

Remember without electricity this car is going nowhere I don’t care what a bigger engine it has I don’t care how beautiful the frame is the outside I don’t care if it’s got the gas and all in an initial switch it’s going nowhere without electricity. In daily life we can be successful with our family our marriage raising our kids. From an encounter with God and a consistent encounter with him.

▶ 17:42 Amen oh why because God comes to talk to you remember the Holy Spirit comes to convict you convinced you of sin righteousness and the judgment that God he comes to talk to you and in talking to you when you respond you get changed the truth set you free the truth liberates you. Know. So you can have success in this natural life financially. Health. Family marriage children at least till they’re twenty years old then they’re on their own they got to decide but you can raise them in the way they should go. And in the next life that’s supposed to be a spirit there it’s the best I could do in a life to come you’re gonna live forever.

▶ 18:41 And you’re gonna be a successful in the spiritual realm before you go to heaven and after you go to heaven. So the bottom line is as the musicians come I am come that they might have life. Why did he come just to send you to heaven just to save your soul I am come that you might have life and he says what kind of life and that you might have life more abundantly a superior life in this earth a superior life in the natural world a superior life in the spiritual world he. Come to give you life he didn’t give you a spirit of fear but of love and of power and of a sound mind but we have to apply it can you raise your hand and say God I agree with that.

▶ 19:48 The Bible says in first Timothy 4:8 that we have the promise of the life that now is and the life to come a superior life now in the natural and a superior of life now in the spiritual as well as the superior life when we’re dying dead and integrate could that be an amen that’s what he’s given us folks that’s why he came you will notice I put up banners I put up these banners because I want this church to get these scriptures in their cranial vacuum back there it says if you draw nigh to God God will draw nigh to you is that a lie or is that a truth if we move toward God and apply power the principles of power will he come to us yes that’s what James 4:8 says this one over here says he that comes to me I will in no wise cast out I don’t care what kind of condition you’re in if you come to draw nigh to God will he turn you away no.

So when we come to him he says there I will meet with you and I will speak with you two things you’re gonna feel the presence of God and probably 80 to 90 percent of the time you’re gonna cry about it. You’re gonna cry because he’s good you’re gonna cry because he would come to you you can also experience joy you can also experience a militant spirit to fight the enemy but he’s gonna come and he’s gonna meet with you and he’s gonna speak to you and the whole purpose of God meaning is talk to you about you not your brother not your sister but at you oh Lord or me oh Lord standing in the need of prayer we need to guard our eyes off everybody else and on to ourself I need you I need you to speak to me.

▶ 22:04 Everybody’s trying to tell me what to do I need you to come and tell me what did it is that fair enough is that scripture let’s go back here Ezekiel 36:26 a new heart I will give you that heart is the mind and the emotions of man the soul a new heart I will give you that old heart of stone that old hard in sensitivity that old mind that wasn’t disciplined and all that I’m gonna give you a new discipline mind. And I’m gonna give you a new spirit. That spirit of power and I will put within you and cause you look at this I will cause you to walk in my statutes not you trying to force these things and get it done I will motivate you I will empower you to walk in my statutes and my judgments.

That’s the power of God and then you have over here on the left the Holy Ghost shall come upon you he’s talking to Mary the Holy Ghost shall come upon you the power the most high shall overshadow you see that spirit of power is everywhere in these banners. The most high shall have a shadow you Luke 1:35 and so Mary brought forth a child. Because the Holy Ghost came upon her the power of God overshadowed her and supernaturally a child was created then you go to Galatians 4:19 Paul says I travail in Christ again until Christ is formed in you I pray I travail for you till Christ is formed in you if Jesus could be formed in Mary as a natural baby and child can Jesus be formed in us spiritually.

▶ 24:14 Alleluia and in that what it’s all about and then it comes out naturally I don’t have to have ten rules of success and all that it’s just a natural flow of a power of God that I speak and behave myself 2nd Corinthians 3:18 all are changed into the same image of Jesus from glory to glory you’re not going to get mature overnight get rid of that you’re going to go from one glory to another glory one faith to another faith one truth to another truth and how do we do that by the Spirit by the spirit I have not given you a spirit of fear but a spirit of power of love and a sound mind he is going to change us into the image of Christ have Christ formed india in us so he radiates out of us by the spirit of God.
