We’d like to welcome you this morning and thank you for joining us uh those online want to thank you for joining us this morning we’re going to get into the word this morning and hear what God has to say to his church this morning a picture here of some people just seeking God and if.

▶ 23:16 You’ve read some stories and books on Christians in other parts of the world you know that they go through persecution and tribulation just to praise God and assemble together it’s very dangerous for them but God still meets with them God still. Gets the gospel out in those nations and apart from all of the persecution and oppression it’s an amazing thing God does he builds his church no matter what. In Daniel chapter 9 verse 25. It says know therefore and understand from the for from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until messiah the prince this street shall be built again the wall and even in troublesome perilous times.

▶ 24:13 And so with the scripture we understand that Jesus with the Holy Spirit was able to build his church in troublesome perilous times when he came. On earth and after he died he built the church in trouble. And even though trouble was going on. In Jesus time the Jews were under roman rule but they had freedom to keep some of their religious practices and that’s why the Pharisees and Sadducees were kind of ruling that. In charge of all that going on. After Jesus resurrection there was persecution first by the religious Jews and then by the Romans in the late 60s. Not the 1960s 60 a.d. Even under great persecution the gospel was preached and the church was built.

▶ 25:12 When Jesus arrived on the planet the Jews were living under roman rule as I said. Yes I’m sorry my notes were just repeating what I just said pardon me so persecution was going on by the religious Jews and the Romans in the late in 60 a.d. We know this because in acts chapter 8 verse 1 it says at that time a great persecution arose against who against the church against the way against the people that were following Jesus Christ which was at Jerusalem and they’re all they were all scattered throughout the regions of judea and sumeria except the apostles so all those people that had hated samaritans or uh you know had a problem with samaritans all of a sudden there were these Jews that had turned into Christians that were now living among samaritans and they had to get along with people right.

▶ 26:10 As for Saul he made havoc of the church entering every house dragging off men and women committing them to prison so Saul at that time was persecuting the church. With the religious people around him. So even before the Romans started to persecute in the later 30 years later or 60 years later 30 years later the religious Jews were already persecuting those of the way those who were part of the church. And today we have a government that is pro-immorality. Is the news is pro-immorality majority of people I don’t know if that’s many people and the united states of America are pro-immorality. They’re being convinced that immoral things are acceptable. And so are we living in troubles times.

▶ 27:06 But it doesn’t matter if we’re living in troubles times why because Jesus and still build his church the Holy Spirit can still build his church through all of whatever is going on amen and Matthew chapter 24 verse 6 says you will hear of wars and rumors of wars see that you are not troubled if you see that underlined statement see that you are not troubled if it is troubling you that you got a war going on across the globe or wars that you may not even know about in other countries if it’s bothering you Jesus is saying in red letters here see that you are not troubled don’t let it bother you don’t let it keep you from getting to the goal that he has for you as the church all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet remember that if they’re preaching that you know this is the end that Jesus contradicts that the end is not yet for nation shall rise up against nation kingdom against kingdom there will be famines and pestilences do we know anything about pestilences.

▶ 28:17 Another word for pestilence is disease sickness or pandemic. You know that stuff comes. Earthquakes. In diverse places places all over and the map here shows military conflicts going on this is 2019 I think and so you’ll see all over the world there are military conflicts going on and I went to look up all the wars current wars and I was just like oh man there’s a lot of pro wars going on I cannot fit this into one slide there’s just too many so there are wars going on there’s rumors of wars going on all kinds of things are happening right now in our world but do not let it trouble you. We may be living in troubles times but that doesn’t matter to Jesus Christ.

▶ 29:12 Matthew chapter 24 verse 9 they shall deliver you up to be afflicted they will shall kill you and you shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake and then shall many be offended and shall betray one another and hate one another and so we see this happening uh immediately after Jesus Christ rose from the grave not so shortly after in 60 a.d and 300 a.d you have the persecution from nero you got the persecution from the Romans how they were lighting them on fire as lights to light up their their courtyards they were lighting Christians on fire they were putting them in the coliseum and having them ripped apart by lions and beasts. There was a great persecution against the church. For a time and today.

▶ 30:05 If you’re you know not in America or other nations you are you can be killed for your faith in Jesus Christ. So don’t let it bother you if you’re betrayed by one another. If you’re if hate comes from one another. Don’t be discouraged. God knows this is coming. Don’t let it. Shake you. Jesus knows. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many on the right here you got a picture of uh a prosperity gospel that’s just an example you know what is being taught in our church today uh you know if if we’re using the gospel to say you know you need to promote all these ways to make money for yourself and to also pay uh the pastor money and all that stuff that’s not the goal I mean it’s pretty obvious to see that a prosperity gospel is not the goal of Jesus’s gospel that purpose that it’s not so that you can become some rich billionaire millionaire there’s more to it than that much more to the gospel than that.

▶ 31:26 And then you have academia. Or colleges right now are a big influence on our society when kids graduate high school and even in school now it’s all there’s a lot of influence in school I have children that go to school public school not by choice but the influence is there even in their age and when I went to college the influence was there and it’s 20 years later now it’s even worse. Right they are pushing their ideologies. And I’m I’m lumping them in here because they’re false prophets right these academic people you know they act like they don’t prophesy things but they do and they try to tell you what’s coming and how you should live your life and and they they’re making up laws.

▶ 32:21 Because of lawlessness. And because lawlessness will abound the love of many will grow cold but he who endures to the end shall be saved so we’ve got to remember to endure we’ve got to remember don’t be troubled by these things going on keep on the path and the goal that Jesus Christ has for the church but we know that lawlessness will abound so don’t let it rattle you or shake you that lawlessness is here do we have lawlessness in America yes people are stealing things uh. They’re not fine they’re just you know stealing is normal now if it’s not under it’s not over a thousand dollars you get to steal it that’s wrong that’s unjust. That’s completely wrong at breaks one of the ten commandments I mean you just took it and you just broke it you picked it you stamped I threw it out right.

▶ 33:19 Uh. As I mentioned a few weeks ago you know if you’re just trying to come out of the womb and and be a child and grow up you’re gonna have to face a lot of opposition in America and I’m sure all over the world they have similar problems you have parents that are uh making choices to end your life in the womb if you’re trying to develop in the womb you come out of the womb and then you got parents that are neglecting. Children and that’s not right we’re not advocating for children in our country people are not taking responsibility for the children they bring in this world and when you force the ideologies that academic damia puts on you that we’re just monkeys and we’re evolving and you know it’s just a pleasure tissue who cares there’s no right and wrong I know I gotta do my thing. I don’t care about these kids you know that that thinking not caring no morals perpetuates all these problems that we have today.

▶ 34:24 Kids being taught to accept sexual sin adults accepting sexual sin of all kinds and acting on it it’s lawlessness. And we have it going on today in our country and throughout the world. So but he ends first of all again I want to repeat he who endures to the end will be saved we’ve got to endure amen. But don’t let it trouble you don’t let it shake you don’t let it rattle you why because in verse 14 he says this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness as a witness with authority with signs backing it up unto all nations and then the end shall come so Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit God almighty is they are able to completely.

▶ 35:27 Get the gospel out through all of this mess amen. God Jesus I’m sorry I have my statement here it’s much better than what I just said through the wars through the sin through the big influence from. Academia or whatever the influence is coming from through the oppression through famine pestilence disease through all of that and more the gospel will be preached because Jesus Christ and God has purposed and said it’s going to happen. It’s going to be preached in all the world as a witness. And all the injustices and sin and our day must be met with the gospel.

▶ 36:17 As you know we have people on the right that are conservatives that are you know they’re debating and they’re giving their message which is it’s a it has undertones of morality and it’s good but at some point the church has got to meet this lawlessness and the sin and all of the awful ideologies that we have it has to be met with the gospel of Jesus Christ it’s got to be met with the power of God through his word through his truth and right now conservatives and people are not they will not promote Christ they will not speak his message they will speak the morals of the message but not the gospel. And that full gospel has to be spoken and that that is what we need to use.

▶ 37:11 And that powerful gospel is going to make the difference. And it’s coming. Do not be troubled. You know Jesus is setting all this up. And we just we don’t like how long he takes to set things up. He’s setting up the whole world for his gospel amen. He’s going to do his thing Matthew chapter 16 verse 18 I also say to you that you are Peter and on this rock I will build my church when Jesus says I will do something he does it I will build my church.

▶ 37:55 And he’s talking about himself he is the rock the gates of hell shall not prevail against it the world is not going to prevail the world and its ideologies that come from Satan again the Bible says that we wrestle not with flesh and blood again against principalities and powers of darkness the kingdom of darkness influences the world and the world tries to influence the church and the gospel being preached but we’ve got to stand up with Christ and we’ve got to get back to preaching that gospel and meeting that their message with the gospel we are we get afraid to do it we get afraid to let the gospel be the primary uh message that is spoken but it needs to be. Christ is not done Christ is still building his church and he has great plans.

▶ 38:49 Isaiah chapter 2 we find it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the lord’s house shall be established on the tops of the mountains it’s not just going to be a fleeting thing it’s not just going to be a one day thing it’s not going to be a one month thing it’s going to be established in the tops of the mountains there’s going to be some. Permanency to this it shall be exalted above all the hills all the nations shall flow into it many will come and say let us go up to the mountain of the Lord. He will teach us his ways we shall walk in his paths for out of Zion shall come forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem Jerusalem. Do does the church today. Are we writing laws for our country.

▶ 39:42 Do we influence laws in our country I this scripture here is so powerful in what it’s saying I don’t think we understand can you imagine the church having such influence in our country where the church is actually writing laws you know people in government get to write laws they’re writing stupid laws why can’t the church write a law you know what’s wrong with us are we you know are we wrong can’t we come up with a law that is just for all people. Or a law for the church hey let’s follow this law church. They shall teach his ways and shall walk in his path see it’s not just about. Accepting Christ and that’s it there is more to it you you’ve got to become one who is learning understanding and begins to walk in the ways and his paths that is a big difference that explains it differently just those two statements right there you you understand that it’s not just I accept Christ and I go live however I want because of grace no you walk in his paths.

▶ 41:00 Well what he that means I don’t get to have any fun. You got to remember Jesus has joy and Jesus has joy that no man can take away you know God is fun he’s having a good time. Being a Christian you can have joy that no man can take away peace that passes understanding the joy that you get from the sin it has is it pales in comparison. Amen don’t you agree with that. Second Corinthians chapter six verse one behold now is the accepted time now is the day of salvation now is the time to be saved now is the time to be built if you are a Christian it is time to be built it is time to grow if you are not a Christian an unbeliever it is time to get salvation from Jesus Christ your Lord and savior who shed his blood for you gave his life for you if you’re not growing it’s time to grow if you do not know God it’s time to know God today now is the time you don’t need to wait.

▶ 42:08 This day February 27 2022 right now. You don’t need to wait till God comes back you don’t need to wait till he visits the country again you don’t need to wait for all that now is the time. But we get distracted there was a man who said let me bury first go bury my father he’s and he replies and says let the dead bury their own dead but you go and preach. And I bring this up because this is God’s response to our excuses and our distractions we come up with them amen. Another one said I will follow you but let me first go to my family and bid them farewell and you’re thinking why can’t I do that God I can’t say goodbye to my family. You know the first thing that’s going to happen when he goes home right oh where are you going.

▶ 43:04 Oh really is that right are you sure you want to do that. Uh do you do you have supplies enough do you are you uh are you capable I I don’t think you should be fine you can’t follow Christ you don’t have the legs you don’t you can’t do that. But we come up with excuses. We get distracted and you know we’ve all been there we’ve all done that amen. Uh. Even today right now we get distracted. But Jesus says in Luke 20:10 verse 2 the harvest is great. The harvest is great and it’s great right now it’s plentiful. And the laborers are few pray that the Lord send laborers into the harvest I send you out as lambs among among wolves but Jesus Christ even though there’s wolves out there even though the laborers are few he’s still going to build his church he’s still going to preach his gospel throughout all of the world.

▶ 44:15 But we want to pray for these things because God said to pray for them amen. You know even if we don’t have the desire even if people in America no Christians and no church have no desire to preach the gospel God will raise up someone in the planet that will do it that’s how that’s how much uh how much surety there is in this. If we decide to say no he will raise somebody up. And I want to share a story here that Jesus Christ approaching the woman from Canaan and there’s some truths you want to learn about. This situation and also going back to what we’re talking about Jesus Christ building his church no matter what in Matthew chapter 15 verse 21 a woman from came from Canaan.

▶ 45:13 She was from that region and she cried out to him saying have mercy on me son of David my daughter is severely demon possessed. This woman another word for this woman in that day is she is a Gentile she is not a Jew she’s from Canaan she’s not you know part of the people of God. And he answered and said to her I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel so God was going to not only the Jews but also you know the other. Not only Judah but the other tribes as well you know he talked to the samaritan woman that was at the well. He talked to. The house of Israel and she came and worshiped him saying Lord help me and he answered and said it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs I mean wow oh my gosh.

▶ 46:14 That is a pain oh did you did you feel that. Being called a little dog you know if Jesus Christ was here today you know we would be inducting him into the MeToo movement what did he just say to me he’s harassing me. Me too me too Jesus me too he called me a dog. But God’s word and his words can be offensive to those who are sinning people can be offended by Christ’s words he offended the Pharisees and the religious people he offended the rich man who loved money more than God if you remember that story he came up to Jesus asking him he offended the people at. The woman caught in adultery. And told and he told her to go and sin no more don’t you dare tell me to not sin anymore that’s offensive.

▶ 47:16 Now she didn’t reply that way. But. He offended the people at the temple. When he overturned the tables and he came with a whip and he drove out the money changed he said my house is called a house of prayer Jesus Christ can be offensive does he offend you if he offends you you need to take a look at what he is saying is it true of course it’s true. When you read the Bible in your home if you if you’re an unbeliever and you get offended you know you need to take a a some deep thinking there you need to ask God hey God help me out here help me understand this does Christ offend you but she responded. In the best way possible she responded the way all of us should respond she said yes Lord even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master’s table she admitted her sin she admitted yes I have sinned.

▶ 48:22 But she also said. God I’m hungry. I’m hungry for just the crumbs. Whatever it is that you have for me God I’ll I’ll take it. Such a powerful statement this woman this example is excellent. She admitted her sin and Jesus Christ in response of course he says oh woman. Great great is your faith let it be to you as you desire and his her daughter was healed from that hour. And so the truth that we want to learn from the story. Is first of all does Christ defend you don’t be offended respond right to him what he’s saying is true secondly. This Gentile woman was not of Israel but she came to find Jesus.

▶ 49:19 She found him and she pursued him and the question is are we waiting for Jesus. In the second coming are we waiting around for Jesus to come back and visit America. Are we just waiting. I mean we are waiting but are we sitting around doing nothing Jesus is alive today he’s risen we can go to him. We don’t have to wait we can pursue him now like this woman did we can be taught in his ways now we can walk in his ways now we can have the law of the Lord coming out of us now we can have the word of the Lord coming out of us now we can come to Christ’s goals for the church now in our individual lives you don’t have to wait for him to do it sovereignly throughout the world we can be like this woman and go to him experience him now we don’t have to wait for God to do it in a big way we can have his big way in us now.

▶ 50:28 Don’t wait. When Cornelius. The Gentile. Had encountered an angel and called Peter over Peter says this in acts chapter 10 34 in truth I perceive that God shows no partiality but in every nation who fears the Lord and works righteousness is accepted by him don’t we want to be accepted by him yes don’t we want to him to that’s what this woman did she was accepted by Christ Christ healed her daughter Christ forgave this woman because she pursued him she came to him and so God is saying the same thing today in February 20 20 2 we can pursue God know God now grow in God now be built by God now.

▶ 51:33 If God if Christ can change this woman’s life who was outside of the calendar right. She was outside of the calendar. If you remember the story about Cornelius that was after the resurrection that was later on during the during the when they were going out. They didn’t realize that they were supposed to preach to the Gentiles but this canaanite woman she came to Jesus. Before all that was taking place. We must pursue him. Matthew chapter 11 verse 12 says from the days of John the baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force and again we can rephrase that by saying.

▶ 52:24 The kingdom of heaven is being pressed into and those pressing into it take it by force and that’s what this woman did she pressed into Christ and she obtained what wasn’t. Time for her yet to obtain and today we can obtain things that may not be that God may be planning later on we can obtain it now when we pursue him as a worship team comes we’re going to sing a song you are my Lord we’re going to invite our God right now. Surrender unto him declare that he’s our Lord that we’re going to follow him and Isaiah 2 again I want to remind you the church shall be exalted above the hills and all nations shall flow into it many shall come and say. Let us go up to the mountain of the Lord he will teach his ways we shall walk in his paths out of the Zion shall come forth the law so this needs to be our goal in the church.

▶ 53:28 Not goals you know all this stuff other stuff is peripheral the first thing we’ve got to have a goal on is are we teaching his ways are we walking in his ways and are does the law come forth out of us whether people whether the government accepts it or not. Whether people accept it or not we’ve got to stay with and stick with God’s law God’s truth amen. Amen we want to walk in his ways now we want to teach his ways now amen God can build. Our lives. Now and everyone who was willing to respond. We can do it now. Jesus has built his church in bear in perilous times we see that in history and Jesus will build his church again in perilous times if you think if you’re discouraged don’t get discouraged God can do anything in any time and you’ve got when you look at the scriptures you understand he this is part of his plan.

▶ 54:45 Don’t be discouraged. Get encouraged amen. His ways will be taught people will walk in his ways the church will be established in the top of the mountains it’s going to be seen throughout the world it’s going to be established throughout the world it’s going to be a powerful church we don’t have to wait for that time we can be powerful even in a little state we can be powerful. The harvest is plentiful now today is the day don’t wait now is the time. Let’s bow our heads this morning. As we sing this song we’re just declaring unto him he’s our Lord that we’re going to follow him like the scriptures say in Isaiah we’re going to walk in his ways.

▶ 55:44 The law is going to be part of our lives we’re going to not only live the law but be able to share it. Justice. All these things that we shared about the lawlessness going on is hurting our country. It’s hurting children’s lives their future. And the gospel. Is the key the gospel is the thing that needs to be. That. The evil message needs to be met with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

▶ 56:23 So we’re going to pray and ask God that he would do that in our individual lives that he would begin to do that in our city and our country that he would begin to do that throughout the world let’s stand and let’s pray right now inviting Jesus just lift up our voices together Jesus God we call on you this morning God Lord we lift up our voices to you Jesus Lord we know that it is you it is your gospel Lord it is your gospel that is the key Lord is your gospel Lord that is the answer Jesus Lord God is your gospel your truth your law Lord that converts the soul Jesus your word God Lord Jesus the fear of the Lord all of these things God it’s your gospel Jesus Lord we pray Lord God that we would be examples God that we would speak the truth God that we would live it in our lives that we would grow in our lives Jesus Lord that people would see that it works in this person’s life Lord Jesus we pray for our country we pray for our city we pray for our church God Lord we ask Jesus that we would Lord begin to walk in your ways Jesus Lord that we would come to the goals that you have for your church Jesus Jesus Lord we pray that you would meet lawlessness with the gospel of Jesus Christ Lord that you would transform lawlessness Lord back to truth back

Lord we will see these things happen and this woman is an example Lord and we we say the day that we’re gonna take Lord more effort. Lord we’re not gonna take a no for an answer we’re not gonna walk away because we didn’t feel the goosebumps Lord but we’re gonna continue as a church to press in for this is what we were called to Lord for such a time as this Lord Jesus Jesus we thank you for your presence Lord we press in Jesus we press in for these things have already been given Lord if the latter church is going to be greater than we know these things have already been given we have to press into it we have to put the effort stop being so lazy and so comfortable Lord.

And uh we’re still going to be holding Easter Sunday on April 17th at the outlets. Again I think the voting is already done for the board members so I don’t need to review that again and again but I do want to share. Uh some plans we have for Easter some act uh let’s see. All the areas I just want you guys to kind of get a sense of all the things that we have to do and this is not complete by any means but uh we have we’re gonna oh sorry.

▶ 1:09:24 I thought I was projecting. So here I have uh the prerequisites or things that we need to get done beforehand. Um we’ve got we got to get prepared for an egg hunt refreshments worship sound chairs and tables we’re going to be probably renting some things and more so for the egg hunt we’ve gotta purchase candy organize the hunt uh I I was able to find eggs a lady was selling him for like a dollar a bag so I was like oh I’ll get that uh we’ve got to figure out you know what we want to have there I found ways that we can get the pre-packaged. Some kind of pre-packaged stuff that way you don’t need to worry about covid and all that we can come up with some solutions but we got to have a come up with a plan.

▶ 1:10:20 And worship we got to come up with what our songs are and we need some sound guys chairs and tables so there’s going to be a lot of help needed for this. We’re going to start advertising next week for this. For the 17th. We’re probably going to have a set setup day where we’re going to go and set up so those that want to help out you know let me know when you’re available. We need some decorations we got to set chairs up tables food you know we don’t just want vince doing all the work it’s amazing what two people can do over one person so I got hand raised I got people wanting to help that’s good are you wanting to help is that what that means all right we got some helpers I love it uh we we gotta have we gotta have children’s church gotta have ushers greeters we gotta have flyers to hand out because we have a goal here and that’s to cast out a net right to grab some fish uh be fishers of men amen we’re not just you know we want to present the gospel bring people to the gospel Jesus Christ but we also want them to grow and know God and to do that you got to get in the vineyard which is what the church so that’s our goal we want to bring them to the church.

Those but those are the areas you know if there’s something you can do if there’s some you know somewhere you can contribute please please let me know uh we need help we can’t do this all all one person or two you know everybody it makes life easier when we contribute so um especially decorations and I have a few people in mind who could do that.
