Pastor David G. Kincer reminds that all are invited into God’s presence by Jesus’ blood, entering with thanksgiving and praise. He then shows the place of instruments: David’s all manner of instruments, four thousand temple musicians, the glory filling the house when instruments and singers were one, prophesying with harps and cymbals, Elisha’s call for a musician, and David’s harp driving off Saul’s evil spirit.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:00 [unclear] remember Jesus said he would not come the end of the world would not take place until the gospel is preached as a witness proof evidence to all nations and so not only is God going to perform that but that message is going to be so powerful the civil rulers civil leaders government leaders of all nations are going to come and praise the Lord praise basically means what to brag about boast about who. Jesus Lord yes not a complicated thing. we also find in Psalm 72 verse 11 all kings shall fall down before him.

▶ 0:55 All nations shall serve him now folks we’re living in the fulfillment of all nations serving him everywhere I’ve went preaching the gospel and that’s almost every continent except a couple. There are people serving Christ alright but kings fallen down before him all kings has not happened so he can’t come till what all prophecies be fulfilled.

Can our failures keep us from praising God?

▶ Watch this part (1:32)

Short answer: 1 John 1:9; 2:1–2: if we confess he forgives and cleanses; if anyone sins we have an advocate, and he is the propitiation for the whole world. When you sin, don’t run from Jesus or the church—run to them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:32 Two things we established. So that you understand that you are capable of praising God and that he will meet with you the first one is you got to understand Jesus died for both the sins of the whole world and the church you got to understand he didn’t just die for the sins of the world he died for the sins of the church the believers that mess up he died for them and that death that blood what forgives and cleanses from all sin when you asked him to if we confess our sins he’s faithful and just to forgive us our sin and what cleanse us from all unrighteousness and so don’t let your mistakes your failures keep you from Christ do you see first John 2:1 I write unto you that you sin not that that’s what the Bible is all about don’t sin cuz that hurts people and it hurts you when you sin it doesn’t hurt God.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

— 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:19 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

1 John 2:1-2 (NKJV)

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

— 1 John 2:1-2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:32

Will Jesus turn anyone away?

▶ Watch this part (2:42)

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:42 he’s beyond that he’s bigger than that it hurts you and it hurts people if anyone does sin we have an advocate a mediator a lawyer with the father Jesus Christ the righteous he’s up there interceding and standing up for you alright he himself is the propitiation the covering the atonement for our sins and not only ours but also for the sins of the whole world and for 40 years I’ve been telling people when you mess up when you sin don’t run from Jesus don’t run from the church run to Jesus run to the church because that’s where the solution is amen yeah yeah and that’s what we got to understand alright. And we got to understand that all are invited to have a conversation you can talk with God he’ll talk to you and meet with you encounter you and we find that in Matthew 11:28 come unto me all how many all and I will give you rest for your souls your spirit see our spirit is the real guy that’s going to be living forever that’s inside of us and he will touch our spirit and he.

▶ 3:58 Says in John 6:37 he that comes to me I will in no wise cast out I don’t care what you’ve done remember the apostle Paul was the greatest sinner the Bible says he’s the chiefest of all sinners he killed innocent blood all right he blasphemed the Holy Ghost both unforgivable sins and yet God forgave him why the blood is that powerful the cross is that powerful Jesus’s death is that powerful that the unforgivable sins can be forgiven. now you ought to feel that he will not cast you I don’t care how you feel about it he will not turn you away I don’t care what people say he will not turn you away so don’t run from God run to God in your failures.

▶ 4:52 and then in Exodus 25:22 even in the old testament he made it very plain I will speak with you and I will meet with you and encounter you above the mercy seat that was in the temple and here we have the temple back then here’s the gate and who’s the gate in the spiritual house the God is building Jesus. The altar were they sacrificed who is our sacrifice Jesus so we come through Jesus we come through his blood already shed and this is called a courtyard alright this is the holy place and this is the holy of holies where the ark of the covenant is the mercy seat on top and the cloud of his presence by day and the fire of his presence by night and he spoke from there in an audible voice to his people.

What gives us boldness to enter?

▶ Watch this part (5:44)

Short answer: Hebrews 10:19–20: boldness to enter the holiest by the blood of Jesus, a new and living way—in spite of failures. In his presence he changes you.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:44 Alleluia now these the Bible says in Hebrews an example of the heavenly things the spiritual thing the things we are in amen see we are the temple of God and God dwells in us but you need to know how to touch God that’s in you. Amen and when two or more gathered together who’s in the midst he is so who’s here today Holy Spirit Jesus God they’re all the same they know who they are. They’re not confused at all it’s just us down here. Amen so Hebrews 10:19 have boldness to enter the holiest the holy of holies where the presence of God is and the word of God was in this place the word and the presence and that’s where the word is revealed in his present have boldness to enter the holiest by the blood of Jesus a new and living way because I believe in his death his burial his resurrection and his atonement for my sin I have the right to go in and talk to my God in spite of my failures in spite of my limitations in spite of my my my sins I can go in by the blood.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

▶ 7:07 Amen and when I’m in here he can change me. You know I mean oh you’re influenced by the people you’re around you get around God guess what you’re going to be influenced by him so this is more important so then we find out how they entered in they were to enter in Psalms 100:4 his gates who’s the only door Jesus we enter in by the door Jesus. With thanksgiving how many are thankful your names written in the lamb’s book of life how many have lift up your voice and tell him every day yeah thank you Lord for my name in the lamb’s book of life how many are thankful for his blood cleansing you sin yeah how many of you tell him and I’m thankful for your blood how many are thankful for the Holy Ghost that lead you into all truth do you tell him [unclear] thank you Lord for the Holy Ghost thank you Lord for your son [unclear] the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name it’s what praises all right enter his courts with praise here’s the court and maybe you do that every day uh-huh.

▶ 8:32 Very few hands went up. Yet kings are going to praise him and we don’t. Interesting isn’t it enter his courts with praise be thankful unto him so now you come into his courts now you’re going to the holy of holies and in here and when you get in here you’re thankful again and you what bless him bless means you speak good of him you talk good of him how many know there’s nothing bad in Jesus you can’t find anything better than Jesus when you talk about Jesus it’s all good it’s all uplifting depression goes sorrow goes we got it now we are living stones built into a spiritual house we are the temple of God God dwells in us but how can we touch him through thanksgiving and praise yeah I can touch the God that’s in me.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:32 are you there and that’s very important for you to know nothing you’ve done will keep you from God all right nothing. My point is this forgiveness is offered cleansing is offered. But you gotta accept it you got to believe it and you gotta walk in it and when people say it don’t work it’s not that God’s word doesn’t work they didn’t work it could I get an amen. Nobody can stand before God and say I tried this stuff and it didn’t work can’t happen he’s God he doesn’t lie amen. Now. Second Samuel 6:5 David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord [unclear] the ark of the Lord they were bringing the ark the presence of the Lord back to Israel on all manner of instruments and it lists the harps the stringed instruments the psaltery is a stringed instrument the timbrels percussion the cymbal is percussion and cornet is a wind instrument a brass instrument okay an all manner they just list some of it and he was bringing the presence back and he just used music he just used what music musicians playing instrument oh yeah.

▶ 11:03 Here we have we call it Solomon’s temple but it was really David that prepared for it’s got the pattern from heaven and everything else and passed it on to his son but we called it Solomon temple because Solomon built it but it was really David that got the prophetic word got the pattern and everything so in. The. Next temple laid out the same way temple of Solomon first Chronicles 23:5 four thousand praise the Lord with musical instruments how many now you divide that by 12 you get 333 if they were in monthly sections groups you got 333 people playing musical instruments no here comes God’s people from all over Israel to come to the house of God several times a year to meet with God all right and as they get close to the temple what do they begin to hear music from the house of God wow and the closer they get the louder it gets because you’ve got 333 people minimum playing instruments you know that’s going to make some noise and they come in to the gate there is a orchestra there of a minimum of 333 musicians playing have

▶ Watch this part (13:48)

Short answer: The sons of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun prophesied with harps and cymbals to give thanks and praise—playing by the inspiration of God’s Spirit, not mechanically.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:48 Look at this second Chronicles 25:1 through 3 the children of Asaph Heman and Jeduthun prophesied what does the word prophecy mean speak by the inspiration of God so when you are prophesying on your instrument what are you doing playing by the inspiration of the spirit of God. You see the difference I’m not just up there mechanically doing my thing I am connected with my spirit to God’s spirit and I’m playing the instrument and God is in it wow that’s good. This is just music. Prophesied with harps there’s the strings again and with cymbals percussion to give thanks and to praise the Lord just music just music prophetic and when something’s inspired of the spirit it touches people’s lives.

▶ 15:59 The musician started playing it happened when the musician played the hand of the Lord was upon the prophet and he spoke and told them what to do to win. Amen remember I keep telling that I’ve been telling people for years God’s presence doesn’t come to give you goosebumps even though you get them it doesn’t come to cause you to quiver though you may quiver it doesn’t come to cause you to leap for joy though you may leap for joy the bottom line of his presence coming is to talk to you he wants to say something to you. Short answer: When the evil spirit came on Saul, David played the harp—no singing—and the spirit left. So musicians must be on key and connected to what God is using; God has variety.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:57 when the evil spirit came upon Saul he brought in David to play the harp just play the harp no singing and what happened the evil spirit left am I getting this through to you how important music is so you can’t be off key you got to be on key. You can’t be eccentric in any way you got to be [unclear] you understand you can’t come in with your favorite hillbilly music or rock music or whatever if God isn’t using it you better get connected and I right well I’m going to church with pretty country music hallelujah I’m from Kentucky [unclear] God doesn’t always move in country music he has variety and I right and every mood of God has a music that will back up that present I know from experience.

▶ Watch this part (18:06)

Short answer: He says at the Vine in La Habra they had a 25-piece orchestra with parts; he prepared worship as much as preaching, transposed music for instruments and brought in teachers for technique.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 18:06 You. What can just instruments do. Prophecy. Bring the presence and a change in people just instruments. The variety was important the modulation and you saw how they took percussion and focused on percussion and just revolutionized. Already good song didn’t it alleluia and it was so neat seeing men up there beating those drum one of those drums was bigger than the guy you notice that that was huge.

▶ 19:03 Alleluia. Variety God is a God of variety. And I have to admit to you back in La Habra at the Vine we had it.. We had a 25-piece orchestra we had variety we had parts when we sang and not everybody played all the time you did what was best for the music for the song to be projected to the people I put in as much time in preparing for worship as I did for preaching two work seeking God getting the song and then if you got a sax a trumpet or other instruments they need music so I had literally and transposed music for the B-flat instruments the E-flat and so on and all the rest [unclear] and when I went into a worship practice I had the music I gave him the music trumpet knew what to do the sax knew what to do with violins knew what to do and then we could just practice all right it was a lot of work and then I had to prepare a message also.

▶ 20:29 Because when you got a young church there’s nobody can do anything but you. For a while so you have to do. alleluia and I played the guitar and the banjo and I play the piano. But I don’t play because other people can do it. And. I learned music because I had to learn music ever to get the song across to those who were in the worship team and music is very mathematical to me was it was pretty easy music is very mathematical [unclear]. Alleluia it takes work I brought it in string teachers and brass teachers to teach the techniques of the instrument but that doesn’t see I couldn’t do that so I brought in professional and they taught them the technique of the instruments because I didn’t know the technique of [unclear].

Do we have to wait for Sunday?

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:44 These guys did. Alleluia God. Is going to move again and it’s not that he’s not doing things now it’s just we are in a recession. America is God’s trying to get America’s attention all right I I know how he works I’ve watched him work and we just need to be ready for the next move amen how many want to be on the front line of the next move of God and not the back yeah and how many of you know that you can come in to God you don’t have to wait for the next move of God I showed you and I’ll keep emphasizing all I’ve invited into him you don’t have to wait for Sunday Monday you can go right into the presence of God you can touch him and he will talk to you and the best way to do it is read the word first I would get up in the morning I’d read the word first then I prayed about what I read and then my prayers were enlightening then and then I worshipped and thanked him and I left the house for work inspired for that.

▶ 23:05 Alleluia are you with me you don’t have to wait to Sunday but also because you do it through the week you come with something to give on Sunday and every one of us can praise Jesus. Bring his presence and let God touch people’s lives amen.
