What does Mrs. Daigle share?

▶ Watch this part (21:48)

Short answer: Moms must become skilled warriors protecting the God-ordained family; the letter kills but the Spirit gives life, and love is the greatest investment.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Various (Mother’s Day service)

▶ 21:48 For you careth for me. You are my peace. You are my peace. You may find your seats in his presence this morning we want to thank you again for joining us. Um. This morning our theme is tips for life from church moms and mothers of the Bible. I have two mothers today that are going to share their tips for life and parenting or whatever it is.

▶ 22:44 We need good tips and we need it from good moms amen. And then we’re going to hear from the mothers of the Bible I’d like to invite mrs Daigle to come and share. You got to keep that close to your mouth. And. Good morning. What a wonderful day to gather. In the house of God like any day but today especially to honor mothers good mothers grandmothers great grandmothers. And all those that have contributed to the well-being of children amen.

▶ 23:39 It’s especially sweet today to see mrs Sauter. A grand is she a great grand. Great grandmother. Yes so it’s so good to see you today very sp. Almost a great great oh my goodness. So they say I always tell my kids kind of apologizing. Once a mom always a mom it doesn’t go away. Even when they become adults. But today’s moms. Which I’m gonna focus a little bit on are forced into a newer role. In engaging. And fighting against a war on children.

▶ 24:33 Today’s moms have to become skilled warriors in protecting the rights of a god-ordained family from the onslaught of the enemy that seek to destroy its foundation. Instituted by God himself. Their agenda. Is against those without a voice born and unborn with no regard for the sacredness of human life. Proverbs 1:27 3 says children are the gift of God and the fruit of the womb his reward. Their agenda is indoctrinating and grooming children to their agenda. In our institutions of education. The media now disney joining along etc their agenda is inviting physical danger to families by dismissing and lowering penalties of crime.

▶ 25:38 Their agenda is encouraging the exploitation of youth and children by not protecting our borders opening the door of human trafficking illegal drugs and criminals allowed into our neighborhoods. By an open border policy. The latest one is. Removing required consent of parents. For the consent. Of vaccines. And other medical procedures like abortions and gender therapy. It is a time where moms have to become warriors. Skilled warriors to protect families and children by speaking out by being involved in the political process.

▶ 26:34 Involved at all levels. To protect life children and our god-given freedoms. And by the way whatever happens with Roe versus Wade. Our push needs to be. To educate women and people. Requiring what they call full disclosure. Before any abortion meaning we educate them show them the ultrasound. Most changed their minds after that. So that’s my first step the last tip tip number two provides the strength the will and the courage to be the best parent. It has to do with character. More than control of just the body but what is inside.

▶ 27:31 That’s what Jesus took to another level the letter the law kills but the spirit gives life and that’s what Jesus showed us that there is more to just. Our bodies. Being under obedience there is also the spirit being under obedience it has to do with taking on the yoke of Jesus. In our lives giving control to him. One can know and possess it only by pressing into its source. And I’ve there’s a person that wrote even chemically. By pressing into the source God can change you. He’s a God of miracles he’s a God of the impossible.

▶ 28:24 If he created us can he change us amen right even chemically in our heads. Zechariah 4 6 says not by might nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord Philippians 2:5 let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus. So the tip that I’ve just explained is all about first Corinthians 13:1 though I speak with the tongues of men and angels and have not love have not charity though I give my body to be burned though I all these things if I have not love it profits nothing and so the second tip is to pursue that kind of love this kind of love has evidence. First John 3:8 we’re not to love in word but in deed and in truth.

▶ 29:20 They say that if you took love and let it go through a prism. It provides a spectrum. Of attributes. And those are the lists that goes on in first Corinthians 13. Love suffers long it’s patient it’s kind it’s active in doing it envy’s not it’s generous it’s not puffed up with humility not unseemly it’s courteous and mannerly. Are you getting now how this applies to raising children. It’s a big one it seeks not its own and it’s not easily provoked it’s not moody it’s not complaintive. It doesn’t provoke to anger there’s a great balance of scriptures that says father provoke not your children to wrath.

▶ 30:19 To anger like pick pick pick or whatever is going on there on the other side of it in Proverbs that a child left to himself brings his mother to shame so it talks about the father and the mother and the balance of the two not overdoing it and not under doing it it’s a good balance. It thinks no evil it’s pure good. No guile it rejoices in truth insincerity. At all costs which may mean our own humbling of self not always trying to just control but in sincerity trying to teach trying to encourage. Where love is God is it never fails it always remains first John 4:16 he that dwells in love dwells in God and God in him.

▶ 31:21 This love is the greatest investment. A parent. Moms can make for children. To be a model of Christ’s character. Not our own style. Not by our own personal preferences of how we think we should be. We are to be an advocate for them just as Christ is an advocate before the father for us. Not left to themselves. And given the tools to succeed in life both in the natural and the spiritual. Just as David prepared for his son Solomon David had the vision. But God said your son’s going to do it not you so what did he do he didn’t just do something else with his life he just kept preparing for his son to be able to fulfill that vision.

What does Mrs. Thompson share?

▶ Watch this part (32:26)

Short answer: Remember your Creator in the days of your youth; use little moments with Jesus and seek the fruit of the Spirit.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Various (Mother’s Day service)

▶ 32:26 Love is to be like Jesus. For our children and future generations. Amen. Did you get all that. Thank you for the tips from. Our first church mom mrs Thompson gonna invite you on up share. More tips. Okay I’m going to read a scripture Ecclesiastes 12 1.

▶ 33:21 So remember your creator in the days of your youth before the days of adversity come. Now youth as a mom as a parent you may be in your 20s your 30s early 30s and you don’t think of yourself as a youth but everything is relative to someone like me you look young. So remember your creator while you’re young and as a parent your time is very valuable you may cut short your time for God as the demands of the family reach out to grab you every voice is clamoring for something you know you get ready to read the Bible and the baby throws up you know that sort of a thing um and they want your attention you know mom huh mom dad dad mom you know you know what you’ve been there you know what I’m talking about.

▶ 34:21 So use whatever time you can to remember. Jesus now we know we’ve been taught to plan for an hour a day so if you cannot put a whole block of time together use little blocks of time to give thought to remember Jesus to remember God stash bibles around the house stash notepads around the house stash tablets around the house whatever you can do because you never know I’ve done this too you you all of a sudden there it is I grab it and I maybe two minutes or three minutes or something you know to remember God. And to pick him up as the time allows now if you fail. And you will fail I think every mom every parent can shake their not their head yes you will fail but this that I’m.

▶ 35:17 Advising you suggesting to you is not to put a big fat load of guilt on you um because Jesus is very merciful he’s gracious and compassionate we just heard that. So now we come to these verses here I want to share first John 5:14 through 15. Now this is the confidence we have before him whenever we ask anything. According to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears whatever we ask we know that we have what we have asked for so now you see the importance of finding out what God’s will is so you find out what his will is and you pray for that ask for things that you know you will get and that’s a good way to to.

▶ 36:21 Keep your time valuable. So here’s something that I suggest Galatians 5:22 and 23 but the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace patience kindness goodness faith gentleness self-control. We just heard some of that from first Corinthians 13. Now there is no question is there any question that the fruit of the spirit is not the will of God for you okay there is no question that the fruit of the spirit is the will of God and it’s the fruit of the spirit you can’t get it by yourself you have to get it from the spirit of God so ask for that pray that God will plant that in you and grow that spirit within you that is something that doesn’t take a whole lot of time but it’s.

▶ 37:17 You know you will get it if you ask for it and so how much more valuable is the fruit of the spirit than all the opinions of the experts that you can read in the books so use your time wisely remember Jesus and ask for things you know the Bible says you will get. Wow. I think I. Need to have moms share more often. I just want to point out something I was uh when I was 16 I started working for the church and school carbon canyon and in carbon canyon brea and I worked with donna and rita and you.

▶ 38:19 Will not find two personalities more different. But they had a unity. And a goal for Christ and the church. And it’s amazing. What God can do with people whose hearts are fixed on him on his purposes and it was a beautiful thing to see as a young person and everybody else that was there I mean I’m not I’m they’re the ones who shared you know mrs Tavis is there miss woods is there all the moms that were involved in the school it was beautiful to see the unity and it’s a really really great thing in the church you guys agree. We’re gonna look at some mothers in the Bible have three mothers today really quickly.

What do the Hebrew midwives teach?

▶ Watch this part (39:13)

Short answer: They feared God and did not do as the king commanded; the fear of the Lord is to hate evil.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Various (Mother’s Day service)

▶ 39:13 Our first mother in Exodus chapter 115. The king of Egypt spoke to the hebrew midwives and I’m going to take some. Assumptions here that the midwives were mothers. It doesn’t say they were but we’re gonna assume and he said when you do the duties of a midwife for the hebrew women and you see them on their birth stools if it is a son then you shall kill him and if it is a daughter then she shall live. The. The Pharaoh. Was concerned and afraid that the Hebrews would become too large a nation so they wanted to reduce the numbers and so government stepped in for some emergency reason. And whether it’s you know government by the people for the people whether it’s government that is bad government whatever the government is when they step in to say do the thing that is wrong.

▶ 40:12 We have to decide how are we going to respond and these midwives. They walked away from the meeting and it seems like they agreed to it right we don’t hear about some kind of uh discussion. But the king of Egypt walked away saying okay they’re going to listen to me but they did not it says in verse 17 the midwives feared God and that’s the first tip for everyone especially us young people. And teenagers and children do you fear God do you are you concerned about offending and and shaming Jesus Christ God in heaven when you go to do these acts uh you know ladies today and you’re getting pregnant and guys today you guys are getting pregnant out of wegman out of wedlock.

▶ 41:09 You’re getting people pregnant out of wedlock there’s a consequence. Do you have enough fear of God. To stop and say no I can’t do this thing. They did not do as the king of Egypt commanded. And God dealt well with them for this and he provided households for them. Proverbs 9:10 it says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom see even as a kid even as a young person you can you can grasp that concept where you’re acting and and maybe you’re misbehaving and you can say you know that’s what Joseph said right when when potiphar’s wife wanted to lie with him he said I can’t do this against God he was afraid to offend his God.

▶ 42:02 Proverbs 8:13 the fear of the Lord is to hate evil pride and arrogance and the evil way so these ladies these mothers are examples. And as we talked about earlier the supreme court is talking about overturning Roe versus Wade they understood right and wrong these two midwives they understood the difference between right and wrong and they would not be out there protesting. You know. For for killing babies they would out there be out there protesting saying no you can’t do this. And we need to follow their example today there is another mother in Proverbs chapter 31 verse 1 says the words of king Lemuel the utterance which his who mother taught him.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Exodus 1:15-17 (NKJV)

Then the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah; and he said, “When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.” But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive.

— Exodus 1:15-17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 39:13 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

Proverbs 8:13 (NKJV)

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.

— Proverbs 8:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 42:02 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What did King Lemuel’s mother teach?

▶ Watch this part (42:56)

Short answer: Do not give your strength to women, nor drink wine—good moms use their influence to tell kids no.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Various (Mother’s Day service)

▶ 42:56 She starts out and she starts with this do not. Give your strength to women know your ways to that which destroy kings it is not. For kings to drink wine or prince’s intoxicating drink lest they drink and forget the law and pervert the justice of all the afflicted so here she’s talking about getting intoxicated and how it’s not good for you as a king or a prince because you’re going to prefer the law and it’s not good for you as a parent to pervert justice in your home and you know mistreat your spouse or your children it’s not good we know this scriptures talk about this but what I want to point out here in this country our country in America we need moms that are willing to tell their children what.

▶ 43:55 No. No. It says do not. Nor your ways to that it is not no. Nor for prince’s intoxicating drink. Good moms will use their influence to save their kid from harm and destruction. By telling them no. Good moms will not affirm their child into doing whatever they want to do why because the scriptures say that foolishness is bound up in the heart of the child and correction will drive it far from them and so like she was talking about the mom the mom and the dad correcting their children that balance produces a good result but today moms are under this feeling and emotional trip that they just gotta affirm their kid to you know whatever their behavior is and it’s not good it’s not healthy.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Proverbs 31:1-4 (NKJV)

The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him: What, my son? And what, son of my womb? And what, son of my vows? Do not give your strength to women, Nor your ways to that which destroys kings. It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Nor for princes intoxicating drink;

— Proverbs 31:1-4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 42:56 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

How is a good church like a good mom?

▶ Watch this part (45:06)

Short answer: It tells you no; the father and mother of the righteous greatly rejoice.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Various (Mother’s Day service)

▶ 45:06 And this mom reminds us of that. And the church. A good church is like a good mom and they will tell you no if you go into church and they didn’t say no about something that’s not a good mom. When you walk out of church and you’re like oh I feel like I just got a little spanking on the bottom. Or you were told no that’s a good thing okay we need that as people we need that. Proverbs 6:20 my son do not forsake the law of your mother. So mothers are supposed to have some rules. Right.

▶ 45:59 The church has some rules uh Proverbs 23:24 the father and mother of the righteous will greatly rejoice how does a kid become righteous how do they start doing what’s right they have to be taught it they have to be challenged with no. They and not everyone not all children decide to do what’s right but those that do you’ll greatly rejoice at that. Another mom and again we’re going to take some assumptions here at some point she was a mom so she’s part of the story too Luke chapter 7 37 a woman in the city who was a sinner she was well known as a sinner. When she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharaoh’s house brought a flask of fragrant oil and she stood at his feet behind him weeping she began to wash his feet with her tears wiped them with the tear hair of her head she kissed his feet and anointed them with fragrant oil.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Proverbs 23:24 (NKJV)

The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a wise child will delight in him.

— Proverbs 23:24 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 45:59 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What does the woman at Jesus’ feet show?

▶ Watch this part (47:03)

Short answer: She humbled herself and loved much—love and forgiveness are not a one-way street.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Various (Mother’s Day service)

▶ 47:03 And I I hear jokes a lot about how women never say sorry and they never say that they’re wrong. When when husbands are talking about their wives I never hear sorry I never hear I’m wrong. But this woman didn’t say anything so the same thing is happening here. But what she did was more important. And how many you know I’d rather somebody. Change with their behavior than tell you oh I’m sorry as they slap you again or oh I didn’t mean that next day they slap you again you know I’d rather have someone change your behavior amen and that’s what this woman did she’s a great example of that she came in and washed his feet the dirtiest part of his body wiped with the hair of her head and this just shows an act of humility.

▶ 48:11 She humbled herself before Christ before God. God is asking us are we willing to bring sacrifices to him are we willing to serve him praise him exalt him seek him Jesus turns around he said do you see this woman I entered your house he was in somebody else’s house that invited him he said he said you gave me no water for my feet but she has washed my feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head you gave me no kiss but this woman has not ceased to kiss my feet since the time I came in. You did not anoint my head with oil but this woman has anointed my feet with fragrant oil. Therefore I say to you her sins which are many are forgiven for she.

▶ 49:11 Very importantly loved. Much. And so this woman this mother came into Jesus she showed through humility through these acts that she loved God. And didn’t have to say anything and his response was you are forgiven. Your sins which are many are forgiven and he also added that she loved much. And if you remember that the greatest commandment that we can do as Christians is to what love God I was reminding my daughter this recently you know I asked what is the greatest commandment. And she didn’t know and I said and I remind her of this scripture Jesus said to him you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart all your soul and all your mind.

▶ 50:10 And we’re reminded with this woman that it’s not a one-way street you don’t just get love and forgiveness from God and walk out say thanks. No you you. Love him too that’s the greatest thing we should be doing is to love God and we do that by seeking him we do that by coming to his house. She went where he was. Where does Jesus dwell he says where two or three are gathered in my name there I will be in their midst and you see this woman is our example she came to where Jesus was and he was you know with some assembly and that’s the way we got to do it too you got to go where Jesus is that is the church Jesus is so uh.

▶ 51:15 Excited he’s so in love with his church and he’s there. And to show him love we go and we serve like this woman we have the heart like this woman has. As a worship team comes. Jesus is in the church and we have to prioritize the church he is bringing this up to me almost every time I come up with a message he reminds me that the church is very important to him. And so we have to love people in the church we’ve got to care for the church it’s like caring for him. So what will we do. We were reminded and advanced this morning with some excellent tips from our church moms.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 7:47 (NKJV)

Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

— Luke 7:47 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 49:11 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

How does the service close?

▶ Watch this part (52:12)

Short answer: Do you know Him?, prayer for mothers and the sick, the offering and gifts for the mothers.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Various (Mother’s Day service)

▶ 52:12 And also we were reminded from mothers of the Bible do we fear God do we respect him to the place where we don’t want to offend him we care about how our behavior. What it. Does it offend God. How will we respond. To. Us mothers we need to say no the church has got to say no we’ve got to unite around some no. Amen. And lastly will we love the Lord our God with all our heart mind and soul. And if you’d like to respond to that this morning I invite you let’s stand and we’re going to sing this song unto Jesus let’s take some time here to show that we love Jesus Christ this morning.

▶ 53:15 Do you know him. Do you know him. Is Christ real to you. Have you sought him. Sincerely. Till he’s. Found of you. Can you say of the Lord. I touched him he’s real. And my soul. Loves him so. Do you know him. Have you touched him and found richie.

▶ 54:11 Untold. As we sing this again we’re going to say do you love him and let’s just let this be our prayer this morning. Yes we love him yes we want to show that we love him and as we sing this just contemplate in your heart and let God come and remind you how to love him and what you can do to love Jesus this morning do you love him.
