In “Messianic Prophecies,” Pastor David G. Kincer walks through Isaiah 7, 8 and 9, showing how Isaiah breaks into prophecy about natural Israel with prophecies of Jesus: the virgin and Emmanuel, the children for signs and wonders, Galilee of the nations, and the names of Jesus in Isaiah 9:6-7. He then applies the Prince of Peace and the kingdom’s increase to the church’s lack of unity and righteousness.

Who was King Ahaz and why does Isaiah prophesy to him?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: He says Ahaz was an evil king who sacrificed his children in the fire and put a pagan altar in the house of God. He says even so God prophesied that the armies of Israel and Syria attacking Judah would fail, because God will not allow any king but his own king and his kingdom.

▶ 0:00 In Isaiah 7, verses 1 through 10, we find that, uh, Ahaz is king. Now remember, we taught you in the first lesson that Ahaz was an evil king. Put his children through the fire, sacrificed them in the fire. He sacrificed in high places. He brought an altar from a pagan temple and put it in the house of God. Closed the doors to the house of God. Just did all kinds of evil stuff. But when Israel and Syria, as Isaiah is prophesying here, came against Ahaz and Judah, they had a goal. Even though he was an evil king, God prophesied through Isaiah that the failure of the armies of Israel and Syria attacking Judah [unclear] to set up their own king would fail.

▶ 0:58 Okay? Even though he was evil, even though he was bad, God isn’t going to allow any other king but his king and his kingdom. All right? And he also prophesied that Assyria would rise up later against Israel and Judah, which happened in the days of Hezekiah. This is in Isaiah 7, verses 1 through 10 and 17, until we change things. Okay? God’s going to do some powerful prophesying in the midst of an evil king and people doing evil. Uh, now, Ahaz’s faith was not in God. He did not ask God for help.

▶ 1:49 God just gave it to him. And he got some grace to remain king. And my point is, grace and faith isn’t the answer. It’s just part of the answer. Okay? It didn’t change Ahaz at all. Now, here is a map. This is Israel up here. Here’s Judah. And then one tribe is south of Judah. Here is Syria. So the armies of Syria and Israel came against Judah. Here is the Assyria, which he said later was going to invade and conquer Syria, Israel and Judah, so that you have a picture of it.

Scripture (NKJV)

Isaiah 7:1-10 (NKJV)

Now it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to make war against it, but could not prevail against it. And it was told to the house of David, saying, “Syria’s forces are deployed in Ephraim.” So his heart and the heart of his people were moved as the trees of the woods are moved with the wind. Then the LORD said to Isaiah, “Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and Shear-Jashub your son, at the end of the aqueduct from the upper pool, on the highway to the Fuller’s Field, and say to him: ‘Take heed, and be quiet; do not fear or be fainthearted for these two stubs of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and the son of Remaliah. Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have plotted evil against you, saying, “Let us go up against Judah and trouble it, and let us make a gap in its wall for ourselves, and set a king over them, the son of Tabel”— thus says the Lord GOD: “It shall not stand, Nor shall it come to pass. For the head of Syria is Damascus, And the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be broken, So that it will not be a people. The head of Ephraim is Samaria, And the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If you will not believe, Surely you shall not be established.” ’ ” Moreover the LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying,

Is the Messiah in the Old Testament?

▶ Watch this part (2:45)

Short answer: He says some Jews say there is no Messiah in the Old Testament and others say he has not come yet, but Isaiah suddenly switches from natural Israel to prophesy of the Messiah in Isaiah 7:14. He says God would speak to the natural kingdom, switch to Jesus and his church, and switch back, and that it takes the Holy Ghost to see it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:45 Now we go on, as, as Isaiah is prophesying about Israel, natural Israel, suddenly in the midst of speaking to Israel, in the midst of speaking to Judah, Isaiah prophesies about Jesus Christ, about the Messiah that was coming. Now, there’s a lot of Jews today who say that there is no Messiah in the Old Testament in their Jewish book. They’ve eliminated him. Other Jews say the Messiah has not come yet. Okay? But Isaiah is going to describe this Messiah. Isaiah 7:14, “A virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Emmanuel.” Just out of the blue, he’s talking about Israel and the Syrian armies and all this.

▶ 3:45 Then, bam, here comes a prophecy about the Messiah. And if you understand this, then you’re going to start understanding the Old Testament prophets. This is what God did. He prophesied to the natural kingdom. Then suddenly he would switch to the future, to Jesus and his church, and then he’d switch back. And it takes the Holy Ghost. It takes God to open your eyes to see this stuff. This stuff cannot be gotten through natural intellect. Now, “Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil and choose the good.” Now, I love butter and I love honey. So I’d have no problem with that diet. Honey is the only natural food that don’t spoil. You know, you can heat it up and it’s honey again.

▶ 4:43 Uh, so Jesus is going to choose the good. Okay? And we are to be like him, right? We’re to refuse the evil and choose the good. “For before the child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good,” now he’s switching back to natural Israel, “the land that God is grieved with shall be forsaken of both her kings.” And that’s exactly what happened. Uh, [unclear] was the last king of Israel. They did not have any more kings. And when Jesus came, neither of those kingdoms had a king. And Jesus was birthed in that prophetic word. Now in the New Testament, we find the confirmation or the fulfillment of that.

What do the names Jesus and Emmanuel mean?

▶ Watch this part (5:36)

Short answer: He says Jesus means Jehovah saves and Emmanuel means God with us, and that Jesus saves us from sin and is with us. He says Jesus was God in the flesh, and that being born again is a confrontation with Jesus Christ who saves you and dwells with you.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:36 Matthew 1:21, “Mary shall bring forth a son and call his name Jesus,” which means Jehovah saves, “for he shall save his people from their sins.” So the purpose of the Messiah, as we’re going to find out later on in Isaiah, was to save the people from their sins and other things. Isaiah is filled with, uh, the Messiah prophecies. “That it might be fulfilled, spoken by the Lord by the prophet, saying, a virgin shall bring forth a son and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is interpreted as God with us.” Quoting Isaiah 7:14, where we just left. So the New Testament confirms and shows us the fulfillment of that.

▶ 6:31 All right. Now, Jesus means Jehovah saves. Why was his name Jesus? Because Jehovah saves us from our sins. Jesus’ name is Emmanuel. Why? Because Emmanuel means God with us. Jesus was God with us. Jesus was God. It’s not that complicated. Are you there? Now, there’s people that argue that he wasn’t God. They’re just wrong. The Bible all over and over shows us that he’s God. He was God in the flesh. Very powerful. So Jesus saves us from sin, and Jesus is with us. Like someone shared this morning, you know, they got to know Jesus. That Jesus that is with us, and it revolutionized their life.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 1:21-23 (NKJV)

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

— Matthew 1:21-23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:36

How was Jesus conceived of a virgin, according to Luke 1:35?

▶ Watch this part (7:24)

Short answer: He reads Luke 1:35 that the Holy Ghost would come upon Mary and the power of the Highest overshadow her. He says that if God had penetrated Mary she would not be a virgin and the prophecy would not be true, and that people who believe otherwise do not want to believe Jesus is God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 7:24 And that’s the key. That’s what being born again is. You have a confrontation with Jesus Christ who saves you from your sin and dwells with you. He’s not something you just think in your head. He’s not something that you got to look forward to in the rapture. He’s real now. Luke 1:35, “The angel said to Mary, that the Holy Ghost shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you, and for this reason, the holy thing born of you shall be called the Son of God.” All right? Now, there are some people that say that God had sex with Mary. And even in the Vatican, they have a picture where Mary’s hair is all, you know, [unclear] up, implying that God just had sex with her and she was going to be birth Jesus.

▶ 8:21 Well, I tell these people, listen, if God had sexual organs, which they don’t. If angels had sexual organs, which they don’t, humans had. Once God penetrated Mary, she’s not a virgin anymore. And then the prophecy wouldn’t be true. A virgin would not be bringing forth a child. Are you there? Hallelujah. But people are just hard-headed. They’re going to believe what they’ve been told and what they want to believe. And they don’t care if you show them the truth or not. And they don’t want to believe that God is Jesus. Jesus is God. When the name Emmanuel means God with us, not Jesus with us, God with us.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 1:35 (NKJV)

And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

— Luke 1:35 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:50

What does the overshadowing of Mary mean for believers today?

▶ Watch this part (9:15)

Short answer: He says it illustrates the birthing God wants to do in you: the Holy Spirit wants to overshadow you and form Christ in you. He adds that Christianity is not a religion made of human rules and rituals but a relationship with God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:15 Are you there? Okay. Now, it is important that we understand this scripture, how God overshadowed and his power came upon Mary to birth something in her supernaturally, because it’s an illustration of the birthing he wants to do in you. Galatians 4:19, “I labor and birth again till Christ is formed in you.” See, Christ wants to come. The Holy Spirit wants to come and overshadow you and birth Christ and form him in you. Ain’t that beautiful? And again, the Bible says in Colossians 1:27, “The mysteries of the Gentile is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” The nations can have Christ in them.

▶ 10:07 Folks, Christianity is not a religion. A religion by definition is men making up principles and rituals to serve a deity. God didn’t, I mean, men didn’t make these principles. God did. Are you there? Hallelujah. Men are to follow them. When we create our own principles, then we become religious. Christianity is a relationship with God. It’s a reality of a relationship with God. And I trust that you have that. It changes everything. Now, another Messiah prophecy. Isaiah 8:18.

Who are the children God gave the Messiah for signs and wonders?

▶ Watch this part (10:59)

Short answer: He says Isaiah 8:18 is a Messiah prophecy, quoted in Hebrews 2:11, and that the children are the people of God, who are for signs and wonders. He says we have been taught so puny that we are only interested in prosperity and a better job.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:59 “I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwells in Mount Zion.” Now, who did we learn? Israel was the church. Who did we learn? Zion was the church. So I, the Messiah, and the children whom you’ve given me, are for signs and wonders. Wow. Wow. Right in the middle of talking to natural Israel, just pops out with this tremendous prophecy. In Hebrews 2:11, we find the scriptures say, “Jesus, he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying, I and the children whom God has given me.” Quoting that prophecy.

▶ 11:57 Hallelujah. And those children are for what? Signs and wonders. I wonder where the signs and wonders are. We have been taught so puny that we don’t even have an indication that we are destined to be an offspring of a God that will do signs and wonders through us. We’re just interested in prosperity, a better job. You know, Billy Gates and Steve Jobs didn’t need God to get wealthy and become some of the richest men in the world, but they didn’t know God. And the greatest wealth is knowing this God and entering in to this arena where we, the children of God, God uses in signs and wonders.

What does Mark 16:20 say the Lord confirms?

▶ Watch this part (13:00)

Short answer: He says the Lord worked with the word, confirming the word rather than the preachers, and that those who preached had to speak the word Jesus said to preach, not their opinions. He asks if God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and says we have to learn and speak the word as they did.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:00 And Mark 16:20, “They went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with,” and I got the word there because in your translations, including the King James, it puts “them,” but it’s in italics. The subject of this paragraph is not them. It’s the word. Are you out there? So, the Lord working with the word, and church, if I can get you to share the word, read the word, get into the word, you’re going to find some tremendous things happening in your life. Cuz Jesus works with the word and confirming what?

▶ 13:59 The word. Not confirming them. He confirmed the word. They preached. So they have to preach what? The word that Jesus said to preach. Not their opinions, not their beliefs, but they had to speak the word of God. Then God confirmed that word with signs following. Wow. Now, is God the same yesterday, today, and forever? Then is he obligated? Is he not just obligated? Is he wanting to do signs and wonders in his children today? Yeah. But we got to do what they did. We got to learn this word and speak this word. That was a good place for an amen.

What does "Galilee of the nations" mean in Isaiah 9?

▶ Watch this part (14:53)

Short answer: He says Isaiah 9 speaks of the Galilee of the nations beyond Jordan, and that Jesus lived in Capernaum on the Sea of Galilee in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali to fulfill it. He says God is interested in the nations, that Jesus is the light to those in the shadow of death, and that what Jesus preached was repentance.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:53 Hallelujah. Now, another Messiah prophecy, Isaiah chapter 9, the land of Zebulun and Naphtali. “In the latter time,” what’s the latter time? The end time. The last time, the last days. “He will make it glorious by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, the Galilee of the nations. The people who walk in darkness have seen a great light. Those who dwell in the land of intense darkness and the shadow of death, upon them has light shined.” Just out of the blue, he says this. Here we have again, here’s the Sea of Galilee.

▶ 15:46 Jordan starts up here in modern-day Lebanon and Syria. Okay, it starts up here, comes down into this basin which is about, uh, 13 miles long and about 8 miles wide, called the Sea of Galilee. But you’ll notice in the prophecy, he mentions a, not only the Sea of Galilee, but the Galilee of the Gentiles, beyond Jordan. Did you notice that? I didn’t think you did. Beyond Jordan. Beyond Jordan. Beyond Jordan. What’s beyond Jordan? The nations of the earth. Are you there? The Galilee of the nations.

▶ 16:40 Hallelujah. Jesus, the light, is the Galilee of the nations. Anybody know what Galilee means? I didn’t think you would. I just studied it, so I know. It means circle or circuit. A circuit of the nation. Is God interested in winning the nations? Has he always been interested in winning the nations? Are the nations his special people? Yeah. Not the Jews. The nations are his special people. He created us all. Are you thinking? Hallelujah. Here’s the Sea of Galilee. Here’s Naphtali. Over here is Zebulun. It’s quite a ways off from the Sea of Ga... Galilee. It’s not right on it. And Jesus did almost half of his miracles around the Sea of Galilee.

▶ 17:36 Are you aware of that? Almost half of his supernatural miracles were done in that area to fulfill this prophecy, as we will see. Matthew 4:13, “Jesus dwelt in Capernaum.” Remember I showed you Capern... Capernaum on the Sea of Galilee, “on the seacoast and in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali, to fulfill what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet.” He did it to fulfill Isaiah the prophet, because he knew this had to be fulfilled. “The land of Zebulun,” now he’s quoting Isaiah the prophet, “and Naphtali, by the way of the sea.” Here it is again now. By the way of the sea. Beyond Jordan. And what’s beyond Jordan? The nations.

▶ 18:27 “Galilee of the Gentiles.” Wow. Are you there, church? See, God’s after a bigger thing in this little church on the mountainside in [unclear]. He’s interested in a bigger thing than the Catholic church, than the Baptist church. God is interested in the nations of the world. And he is the light to those nations. “He is the people which sat in darkness saw a great light. Them which sat in the region in the shadow of death.” Now, who is in the shadow of death? Anyone that has not received Christ. They’re condemned already because they haven’t what? Believed on the Lord Jesus Christ.

▶ 19:19 Okay? They’re in the shadow of death. And so Jesus come to bring light to them so they can be delivered from that death. And Isaiah prophesied the natural fulfillment with the spiritual fulfillment all in one package. And so Jesus came to natural Naphtali, natural Zebulun, the natural area around the Sea of Galilee. There’s about 12 cities there that he preached in and did miracles in to fulfill the natural. But he then later, in the book of Acts, started moving to the nations of the earth, didn’t he? Hallelujah. Isn’t that beautiful? See, only a supernatural God can predict things in detail and then bring them to pass.

▶ 20:15 And you young people, that’s how powerful this book is. Don’t you listen to these people that want to attack the Bible. This Bible is a spiritual book. And unless they have the Spirit of God, they can’t understand it anyway. And only God can predict things and bring them to pass. And that’s what the Bible says. Amen. Only God can do that. Then Jesus taught, this is what he taught in these cities when he was here. Repent. What’s the word? Repent. He didn’t say believe. He said, “Repent.” He didn’t say, “Grace it.” He said, “Repent.” What was the focus of everything he preached? Repentance. Turn from your sin. The light has come. Turn to the light.

▶ 21:06 Turn to right. What have we done in America? We’ve made faith and grace so high that people can live any way they want, because they don’t understand that the power of God come to change them and make them children of the light. Hallelujah. I said a lot in a short time that took me years to learn right there. More about Jesus. Here comes another prophecy about Jesus, the Christ, the Messiah, the anointed one. Powerful.

What are the names of Jesus in Isaiah 9:6-7?

▶ Watch this part (21:59)

Short answer: He reads the names Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace and says they describe him. He says the government is on his shoulders, so it is his responsibility to reveal the kingdom to us, and that Jesus is the eternal God and cannot be separated from his word.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:59 Isaiah 9:6 and 7. “For to us a child is born, a son is given.” Okay? If you want to learn about Jesus, you go to the Old Testament and learn about him as well as the New Testament. You get it? Why do we need the New Testament? Because the truth of God’s word is in the Old Testament. And you want to learn about Jesus, you got to not only read the New Testament, you got to read the Old. And here we find what his names are. And his names always describe him. Okay. “A son is given. The government,” the empire, the dominion, the kingdom which he preached. The kingdom of God is here at hand. Okay. “The kingdom of God is upon his shoulders.” It’s his responsibility to get me and turn me to the kingdom of God.

▶ 22:55 It’s his responsibility. It’s not my responsibility. My responsibility is to seek him. My responsibility is to read the word. My responsibility is to pray and worship him. Then it’s his responsibility to reveal the kingdom to me. The kingdom is where? Within us. See, Christ in us, the hope of glory. Christ be formed in us. So the responsibility is on his shoulders. And that’s a big relief to me. You see, all my grunting and groaning and prayer and all that isn’t going to do anything when I just talk to him in prayer and I worship him and I read the Bible, he comes and he does. He carries the load. Isn’t that good? Yeah. And he’s faithful. Even when I mess up, he still is responsible.

▶ 23:46 Come on, Dave. Get up. We got to get the kingdom in you, boy. Amen. Yeah, that’s what he does. “His name, okay, shall be called Wonderful,” extraordinary. See, he does what ordinary people cannot do. He does what you cannot do. He can save you. He can cleanse you. He can forgive you. He can do what you can’t do. All you can do is seek him. Respond to him, and then he is extraordinary, and he works in you in extraordinary ways. Hallelujah. “He is the Counselor,” the adviser.

▶ 24:41 Is he the adviser? Yeah. Yeah. And his word is our adviser all the days of our pilgrimage. It’s important that you understand you cannot separate Jesus and his word. If you say you love Jesus, you’re going to be reading the Bible. Why? Because he is the living word. And he is going to drive you to read that book. And through these things, he works himself in you. Hallelujah. Because it’s his job. Okay. Now, his name is “Almighty God.” Oh, here he is. God. They’re calling him God again. He’s the mighty God. He’s the, the mighty is there.

▶ 25:31 It’s the strong champion, the chief champion. Is Christ the champion of the church? Is he God by this title? Yes, he’s God. But we see the mightiness in Christ revealed through Jesus Christ in the flesh. “The Everlasting...” Oh my goodness. Everlasting what? Father. Who did Jesus say the Father was? Who did Jesus keep calling the Father? God. Who is our Father? God. Now Isaiah says, honey, Jesus is the everlasting Father.

▶ 26:28 He is the eternal God. Is this getting through your cranial vacuum? You see, you cannot go to this Bible with human intellect and get it. Only the Spirit can reveal these things, and even with me preaching it to you, only the Spirit through your response can open your understanding. I’m sorry, folks. That’s the way it is. We’re only preachers. [unclear] has no great ability to convert anybody. Neither does Oprah Winfrey, nor [unclear], nor Billy Graham. Only Jesus Christ can come and do a work in you and change your life.

▶ 27:21 That’s the bottom line. But he does that in the measure of the word. See, we got to have the word preached. And the word isn’t being preached in America like it is right now in South America, Africa, and Asia, where tremendous revival is going on and millions are getting saved every year. Just millions are coming to Christ with supernatural signs and wonders. And I’m praying God just kind of turn that wind around and blow up on North America again. How many would say amen to that? Yeah. And these people are getting filled with the Holy Ghost. They’re speaking in tongues and signs and wonders are happening. People are getting delivered. It’s, it’s just amazing. But in America, I, we need the wind turned to us. Don’t leave us out, boy. “And he’s the Prince of Peace.”

If Jesus is the Prince of Peace, why is the church in conflict?

▶ Watch this part (28:14)

Short answer: He says peace means safe from war and conflict, yet marriages, homes and denominations are in conflict, so Jesus cannot come any minute while the church is in such disarray. He says the increase of his kingdom and of peace should be growing, and that we grow as we get in the word, worship and seek him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 28:14 He’s the ruler of peace. Peace means safe from war. No war, no conflict. Also incorporates being healthy, happy, and prosperous without having to say gain is godliness. God just supplies our needs naturally, spiritually, and everything else. Now, how many Christians, you know, are in conflict? How many marriages, you know, are in conflict? You’re afraid to move. How many of you know children in the home is in conflict in America? Marriages are in conflict. What is the problem here? Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Why are we in conflict? And they say he’s coming any minute. He can’t come any minute just for this reason.

▶ 29:09 We’ve got to experience him as the Prince of Peace and stop fighting one another. All the denominations are in a big argument, aren’t they? Yeah. And the 35,000 non-denominational denominations in America are in a conflict with each other over something. And it’s usually something stupid, something foolish, something that didn’t, doesn’t even mean anything. Is Jesus the Prince of Peace? Did he say, I give us peace that passes understanding? Does the church in America have that? No way. You got to be kidding me. Every jot and tittle must come to pass, Jesus said. How can he come any minute when we are in such disarray? Wow, that was a good statement.

▶ 30:06 I submit to you, Jesus is bigger than this. He’s bigger than the intellectual mind predicting this nonsense. He is a powerful God, a real God, and he will fulfill his work, and it’s on his agenda. Hallelujah. “Of the increase of government, his kingdom, and peace.” Not just his kingdom, but the increase of peace. See, safe from war, free from conflict. It should be increasing. In America, it seems like we’re increasing in conflict. The homes in America, on a high percentage, are just a mess. Am I right? The marriages are, I’m not talking, I’m talking about the church homes.

▶ 31:02 They talk about this great Jesus and they have no idea about this Prince of Peace. And so we go to the Old Testament, we find these things. That’s also in the New Testament. Okay? The increase, the enlargement, it’s growing, growing, growing, growing. And this is our natural development, is when we get in the word, we come to church, we worship him, we pray, we seek him, we naturally grow. The increased growth, the kingdom is getting bigger. His principles are getting more, uh, in, in control of my life. It is a growing process. And Isaiah prophesied it. Can I hear an amen? Amen. So I don’t have to stay where I’m at today. I can look tomorrow to a different Dave [unclear].

Scripture (NKJV)

Isaiah 9:6-7 (NKJV)

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

— Isaiah 9:6-7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:20

Why does he say the church is not in unity?

▶ Watch this part (31:55)

Short answer: He says Jesus must establish and maintain his kingdom in each person, and that the 2.2 billion Christians are not in unity. He says Jesus prayed that they would be one so the world might believe, and asks if the church in America is even 10% in unity.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 31:55 The things I don’t like about me, he can change. Amen. More important, the pe... things that people don’t like about me, he can change. Sometimes we like things that people can’t stand. “There shall be no end upon the throne of David.” He had to come from the offspring of David, which we will see that he did, “and over his kingdom to establish it.” Who establishes the kingdom in you? Some preacher, some denomination? Jesus Christ has to establish the kingdom in you, and he’s got to maintain it. Wow. All that’s good stuff. Now we have 2.2 million Christians according to the Washington Times in 2012 in the world today.

▶ 32:53 2.2 billion. And as I said before, those 2.2 billion are not in unity. That includes Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Mormons, the Baptists with this 120 different groups. The Baptists themselves have 120 different Baptists. And let me tell you this, young people, Jesus prayed a prayer. “Father, make them one as you and I are one.” And then he gives the reason, “that the world might know and believe that you have sent me, and you love them like you love me.”

▶ 33:46 Now I submit to you, church, just use your common brain. Is the church in America even 10% in unity? No. You don’t even have unity in your own home. Most homes do not have unity. So, we bring disunity to the church. Do we need some changing? Isaiah is going to help us see this stuff. Isaiah is really a, a Messiah prophet. Okay. Jesus said, “I’m going to send you teachers. I’m going to send you prophets.” Now, folks, before the ‘48 revival, we didn’t have good teaching in the church.

What does he say about imitators, false prophets and apostles?

▶ Watch this part (34:38)

Short answer: He says God raised up teachers and prophets in a visitation, that imitators then came in, and he uses the sons who tried to cast out a demon as an example. He says a prophet whose predictions do not come to pass is false, and that a true apostle is an ambassador who has signs and wonders and is patient with God’s people.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 34:38 I mean, you go back there, it’s pretty babyish. But after the [unclear] 40 visitation of God, God raised up teachers who could shoot the word with an arrow and hit the target instead of a scatter gun hoping that somewhere it hit people. The revelation of God’s word started coming out, and you had some prominent teachers of the, you also had some prophets that could nail it at the beginning of this stuff. And I’ve been teaching at the home Bible study. At the beginning of this visitation, it was a pure stream. You know, there were no imitators. This thing was real. And these prophets nailed it every time. And then the imitators come in. Ah, God.

▶ 35:32 These people that see something, like the sons of [unclear], you know, they saw Paul casting out demons, and they, boy, they got a demon-possessed guy and they’re wanting to cast him out, and the demon says, “Man, Paul I know and Jesus I know, but who in the world are you guys?” And he beat him up, took their clothes off, and they ran out of the house naked. Why? They were imitators of what God was doing real in another person. And folks, we got to realize, we got to accept our gifts. We got to accept our abilities and be happy with them, even if they’re none, because it hurts when we pretend something is happening that is not happening. And right now we are a joke to the world. We have all these varieties of churches and we fight and quarrel with one another.

▶ 36:28 We cannot stand in unity for anything in America. And the world just laughs at us. He said, “I’ll send you teachers, prophets,” and he also said, I will, said, I will send you apostles and wise men. All in the same statement. Now, folks, as I showed you, I’ve seen the teachers. I was there when people were teaching that couldn’t teach beans. And I was there when that teacher came along that, oh my God, it just opened up the word to you. It just changed your life. I was there when the prophets were nailing it. They were speaking things that nobody would know but the Holy Ghost. And they were nailing it. And it was changing lives.

▶ 37:24 But they’re not around anymore. These Kansas City prophets have been pro... prophets. I don’t know if you’ve heard of the Kansas City prophets, but they’ve been false prophets since, ever since they started. And people are still following them. And they claim to be tongue talkers and all the rest. But folks, when you make predictions and they don’t come to pass, the Bible says you’re a false prophet. I don’t care if you’re a nice guy. I don’t care if you speak in tongues. I don’t care what. You need to shut your mouth. Could that be an amen? We need the real thing. But folks, I’ve never seen wisdom restored back yet. If you have, show it to me. I haven’t seen it. These denominations don’t have wisdom. And the Catholic Church certainly don’t have wisdom. The Pope just approved homosexual unions. He don’t have the authority to do that.

▶ 38:15 I don’t care what kind of titles on him. When the Bible says a sin is a sin, it’s a sin. There’s no leader down here can change the Bible. Hallelujah. See, we don’t have wisdom in the church. We need to pray that, God said he would do it, we need to ask him to do it. Amen. And apostles we saw in the early church. But these people that call themselves apostles today, you know why they call themselves apostles? Some of them because they established churches. The Bible doesn’t say that’s an apostle. Nowhere. Some of them say they are because they want the, the New Testament structure. And so, okay, this is the big cheese.

▶ 39:07 We’re moving him up from a bishop to an apostle, or a pastor to an apostle. An apostle. The, the word apostle means ambassador of the one they’re representing, with all the authority of the one they’re representing backing him up. The Bible also says that apostles have signs and wonders and they are patient with God’s people. Hallelujah. See, back in the ‘60s, the apostle would never have kicked people out of the denomination because they spoke in tongues. Why? They care for the church. They’re patient with the church. Even if they’re imitators, they’re patient. They have a higher goal. And they can raise the dead.

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 19:13-16 (NKJV)

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Why does he say the American church is not just and righteous?

▶ Watch this part (39:59)

Short answer: He says Jesus establishes and maintains his kingdom with justice and righteousness, yet there is abundant sin in the American church. He says Christ is coming for a glorious church and a big harvest, and the church is not glorious yet.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 39:59 They can walk on what? They can do supernatural things. That’s what an apostle does, defined by the New Testament. Are you there? Do we need to pray for some real apostles to come up? Yeah. And we need to pray for some new prophets to come up that aren’t tainted with this nonsense of prosperity in the faith camp. Hallelujah. Now, how does he establish it and how does he maintain it? “With justice and righteousness.” Now, you’re telling me that the American church is a just church? Just means right, fair. Righteousness is right. Doing what’s right. Don’t we have abundant sin in the American territory?

▶ 40:52 Yeah. From homosexuality to adultery to pedophilia, uh, incest. It’s all going on in the American church. And it has been gaining ground ever since I’ve been a minister. It’s appalling to me that the American families will have sex with an innocent child. It’s just appalling to me. It makes me angry. And only that Prince of Peace can bridle me to keep from punching them out that they would touch a child in that way. And young boys are growing more and more, and too, a target for child sexual abuse.

▶ 41:44 I forget the percentage right now, but it’s high. Used to be zero. Used to be just girls. Now the boys. Now the boys. These homosexuals are raping the kids, just like these male men are raping the, the girls. Are you there? Hallelujah. We’re not just and right in our behavior in America. Neither are we in unity. And I submit to you, just these reasons, Christ is not coming tomorrow. He’s not coming today. He’s not coming any minute. He’s coming when he gets the job done. Amen. He’s coming for a glorious church. And he’s coming for a big harvest. And there’s a harvest in the world today that’s beyond any generation that’s ever been on the earth.

Why does he say Jesus is ahead of everything?

▶ Watch this part (42:35)

Short answer: He reads Matthew 28:18 that all power is given to Jesus in heaven and in earth, and says he is ahead of the church, the powers of darkness, the nations, the weather, sickness and diseases. He says if you want solutions or want to reach the harvest, go to the Lord of the harvest.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 42:35 And he’s coming for a glorious church. And we are not a glorious church. Hallelujah. Matthew 28:18, “And all power is given to me in heaven and in earth.” The Bible confirms it. He’s ahead of the church. He’s ahead of the principalities and powers of darkness. He’s ahead of the nations. There is nothing he’s not ahead of. He’s ahead of the weather, the elements, sickness, diseases. He’s ahead of it all. And if you want solutions, go to the one in charge. Amen. Hallelujah. What does Isaiah 9 say about leaders who flatter or seduce people into sin?

▶ Watch this part (43:28)

Short answer: He reads Isaiah 9:13-16 and says God will cut off the head and the tail, the elders and the prophet who teaches lies, who flatter people to stay as they are or seduce them. He says the end is destruction, hurt and pain, but like Isaiah, in God’s presence we see our sin and receive power to change.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 43:28 He gives a word to natural and spiritual Israel. Very powerful. He’s going to repeat something he said in Isaiah 3. Isaiah 9:13-16. “The people turn not to him that smites them, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts.” See, it’s not just Ahaz that’s evil. The people are following Ahaz. They’re bad. And the Lord has smoked them. He’s come and corrected them, and they don’t take correction. “For this reason, the Lord will cut off from Israel the head and the tail, the branch and the reed in one day.” The elder and the honorable, he’s the head. And the prophet that teaches lies, he’s the tail.

▶ 44:20 And God said, “I’m going to deal with these leaders that are flattering my people to sin or leading my people into sin, seducing them.” It could be either way. They can flatter us and tell us we’re okay, or they can seduce us and make us feel intimidated because we want to do right and they’re saying it’s okay to do wrong. So, I’m going to cut them off. Do we need that kind of leadership cut off in America? Yes. “For the leaders of these people cause them to err,” the elders, the honorable and the false prophets, they’re causing the people to err, as he said in 3:12, “and they that are led of them are destroyed.” So whether they’re seducing us or flattering us to stay the way we are, the end is what?

▶ 45:15 Destruction in our life. Hurt and pain in our life. Hallelujah. But like Isaiah, when the glory of God came, then Isaiah said, “Oh, I see my sin. I got unclean lips.” He didn’t have sexual immorality like the others, idolatry, intoxication, those sins, but he had the sin of speaking wrong. Boy, you got me there, Lord. And he can say, Lord, you got me there. I don’t always speak like I should, but see, in the presence of God, in the glory of God, he saw his area is error and the empowerment to change it. And that’s what we need.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor note: the captions spell Naphtali several different ways (Neptula, Napali, Nepali, Nebuli) and Capernaum as “Capernium”; these are corrected to the Bible spellings because he is reading Isaiah 9:1 and Matthew 4:13. He corrects himself from “2.2 million” to “2.2 billion” Christians and attributes the figure to the Washington Times in 2012; this and his other figures (13 by 8 miles for the Sea of Galilee, “almost half” of Jesus’ miracles near it, “35,000” denominations, “120” kinds of Baptists, the Pope and homosexual unions) are his own claims and have not been checked here. He names several real people and groups: two well-known businessmen (the captions have “Billy Gates” and Steve Jobs), Oprah Winfrey, Billy Graham, two other preachers whose names the captions garble (shown as [unclear] and not guessed), the “Kansas City prophets,” the Pope and the Catholic Church. He also discusses sexual abuse of children in the church and makes remarks about homosexuals. These are his own words and are kept as spoken. The captions also garble a king’s name, a place name and the name of the sons in Acts 19, all shown as [unclear]. Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
