Lifting Hands: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Pastor David G. Kincer shows that believers are to proclaim God’s praises and lift their hands as Solomon and the Psalms did, showing allegiance to Jesus. Psalm 141:2 likens prayer to incense and lifted hands to the evening sacrifice, which Jesus fulfilled in his death and burial. At evening Ezra’s people wept in repentance, fire fell for Elijah, Gabriel came to Daniel, and the risen Jesus met and sent his disciples.
Are believers commanded to proclaim God’s praises?
Short answer: 1 Peter 2:9: you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a special people, to proclaim the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. If you’re not, he says, you’re disobeying.
▶ 0:00 First Peter 2:9 Peter is talking to the saints talking to the believers you. How many believe in Jesus accepted Jesus you a chosen generation a royal priesthood a holy nation a special people that. proclaim the praises of him Jesus who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light you. Okay. proclaim the praises of Jesus can I hear an amen now that’s Peter talking. All right and he’s talking by the Holy Spirit by the teachings of Jesus Jesus taught him personally so don’t get into this denominational.

1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
— 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:00Does the Bible tell us to lift our hands?
Short answer: 1 Kings 8:22: Solomon spread forth his hands toward heaven before all the congregation. Psalm 134:2: lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. Psalm 63:3–4: my lips shall praise you; I will lift up my hands in your name.
▶ 1:00 church articles of faith this is Peter this is authentic you. Are to proclaim the praises hallelujah and if you’re not you’re disobeying. Yeah. Solomon in 1st Kings 8:22 the king in the presence of all the congregation publicly and spread forth his hands toward heaven and then lifted up his voice hallelujah if kings can do it surely us peasants can do it could that be true you are to proclaim his praises. Psalms 134 verse 2 tells us what lift up your hands okay now do you need hebrew and greek to understand that what’s the meaning here lift up your hand let me see it lift up your hand okay see I didn’t kill you that’s what we do then it says where in the sanctuary the gathering together of God’s people okay the meeting place of God’s people with God and why.
▶ 2:25 To what bless the Lord speak good of the Lord speak well of the Lord amen alleluia now see that’s not difficult a kindergarten kid could explain lift up your hands oh yeah yeah lift up my hands but adults Christians in America gets so extreme and so opinionated they can’t even understand the Bible like a kindergarten kid kid. There’s nothing complicated about this verse is there alleluia what where and why now. again in Psalms my lips shall praise you what will I do praise God with my lips [unclear] lips are moving praise God Jesus is king ain’t that right.
▶ 3:23 Okay. Why. thus will I bless you by lifting my lips praising you with my lips in this manner I will bless you I will speak good of you and then it says. When. When he’s going to bless you when am I going to bless the Lord. While I live all the days of my life. Now is that hard to understand now. coming to church isn’t about the pastor it isn’t about the minister it’s not about the musicians it’s not about [unclear] it’s about [unclear] focusing on him from beginning to end. Now again.

— 1 Kings 8:22 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:00Psalm 134:2 (NKJV)
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the LORD.
— Psalm 134:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:00Psalm 63:3-4 (NKJV)
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
— Psalm 63:3-4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:25 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does lifting hands show?
Short answer: Allegiance to Jesus—obeying because he said to. We point to heaven where Christ is on the throne; he contrasts other religions focused on earthly things.
▶ 4:17 same Psalm 63 verse 4 I will lift up my hands this is what I’m going to do and your name is why in your name because you told me to you see I show my allegiance to Jesus Christ when I obey his word I showed my allegiance to Jesus Christ when I lift my hands because he said to lift my hand to lift my voice in praise him because he said to I show my allegiance to Jesus Christ the Muslims show their allegiance to Muhammad when they bow down several times a day on that carpet toward the east we point to the heaven the spirit world where Christ is could I get an amen see that’s the difference between other religions and christianity we focus on Jesus is on the throne in the spirit realm the third heaven and they.
Why spread out our hands?
Short answer: Psalm 143:6: I spread out my hands to you; my soul longs for you like a thirsty land. Yearn for Jesus, not a music style or worship leader—only he quenches dryness.
▶ 5:12 Focus on the world idols and natural thing and when we won’t focus on the heavenly things like God told us to lifting our hands lifting our voice we aren’t showing the public our allegiance to Jesus Christ [unclear] amen we can sing I pledge allegiance to the Lamb let me see you lift your hand let me see you lift your voice let me see you sing unto God that’s allegiance to the Lamb because he said to do it and because I love him in his name is the greatest name there is I’m gonna praise him. Well. Hallelujah. Now. Psalm 143 verse 6 I
▶ 6:09 Spread out my hands to you. Ok that’s what I’m going to do want to spread out my hands to you all why. Because my soul longs for you. Like a thirsty land. Wow. now here’s the difference folks. You should have a yearning for Jesus not a yearning for country music rock music modern music contemporary music in the church you should have a yearning for Jesus and that yearning will move you to spread your hands to the heavens.
▶ 7:09 Alleluia and there’s enough dry people in here to get this verse. The only thing that can quench your dryness in God is Jesus himself it’s not the song or music. It’s not who’s leading worship I heard someone told somebody for last Sunday that worship was notched up that person goes oh it’s not me it was the song leader I didn’t say anything but [unclear] neither one it’s God showed up at a certain level that’s why it was notched up. Why do we want to keep giving credit to people. When we need him you understand we need him now alou you.
Scripture in this part
Psalm 143:6 (NKJV)
I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah
— Psalm 143:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:12What should we lift with our hands?
Short answer: Lamentations 3:41: let us lift up our heart with our hands to God. Like seeds in dry dirt we need water; sincere hearts move God.
▶ 8:02 [unclear] pause and think of that now you know dirt is dirt no matter if it has water in it or not dirt does not change its molecular structure because there’s no water in it it’s still what dirt. But what is in dirt that needs the water the seeds that the winds have blown that birds have dropped the seeds and the nourishment in this earth see the nitrogen and the other minerals that causes plants to grow and flourish that’s what’s there it’s the seeds in the dirt that need the water and guess who the seeds are you guys you.
▶ 8:58 As Peter said yeah. Alleluia we need the water amen. Lamentations 3:41 let us lift up our heart with our hands to God you see that innermost being that spirit that real spirit that’s in you you are a spirit being living in a fleshly body see. That spirit that sincerity that genuineness of that inner man that in you. you need to lift it up with our hands to God could that be an amen and this is the key when I come genuinely and sincerely you see.
▶ 9:52 It’s like a marriage there’s a woman want to marry man that just half-heartedly in love with her. [unclear] she wants him [unclear] attracted to her ain’t that right when we get that way with Christ with lifted hands. Explosion occurs. When our soul yearns for Jesus and we get away from our way we were brought up in our church’s doctrines and all that and we just want Jesus let me tell you that to God is a sincerity that will bring him. Amen Jesus I want you I don’t care about my church doctrine I don’t care about my opinions I don’t care about who’s leading worship I don’t care about nothing but you I need you and God looks at that heart and responds.

Lamentations 3:41 (NKJV)
Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven.
— Lamentations 3:41 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:58How do we stay a watered garden?
Short answer: Keep seeking God sincerely (Jeremiah 31:12). John 7:38–39: whoever believes in me, out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living water—the Spirit for all believers, to influence others.
▶ 10:54 The truth is folks we just learned last week that we are a water garden. remember Jeremiah as a watered garden shall their soul be so I’m a watered garden okay. Why do I need to thirst after God because I need more water coming or else what I’m going to go dry [unclear] if I want to stay a water garden I got to lift my hands to God with sincerity in my life in my heart and seek him and he will come and rain and keep the water flowing and I right. John 7:38 speaks of it Jesus said this is Jesus talking he who believes in me same thing John three sixteen said he who believes in me shall not perish but have everlasting life he that believes in the same statement out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living water this spoke he of the what spirit all believers how many believers all believers would receive not just pentecostals and charismatics we put titles on things.
▶ 12:22 But all believers would receive what this spirit that would be artesian well flowing out of us. Hello there. Yeah if you’re a believer this promise is to you God just didn’t save you to take you to heaven he saved you to use you here on this earth and be an example to people and an influence and an effect on people. ain’t that beautiful don’t you want to be a water garden fruitful flourishing a place where people can rest in the shade [unclear] amen a water garden is attractive. That barren land isn’t very attractive. Now I.
Scripture in this part
John 7:38-39 (NKJV)
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
— John 7:38-39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:54Is lifting hands only for Pentecostals?
Short answer: 1 Timothy 2:8: I will that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands. He shows Marines with hands raised; it’s scriptural in both testaments, not a Pentecostal thing.
▶ 13:17 I will therefore that men pray everywhere lifting up holy hands I have a statement here look at these Marines just over the hill here every one of them have their hands raised now that’s a real man putting on a Marine uniform [unclear] call yourself a man but a real man praises Jesus and look at these Marines can do it men we can do it can I hear an amen yes good grief why we let these women enter into things ahead of us is beyond my understanding we’re so knuckleheaded hard-headed macho. Refused to cry refuse to dance and rejoice with [unclear].
▶ 14:10 We need to break down and obey and show the world we have an allegiance with who Jesus Christ by showing it by doing what he said to do I will therefore that men everywhere [unclear] a lot of times men means people has nothing to do with the gender here it is men everywhere that includes all of us lift up holy hands then let me see you lift up holy hands oh most of us. Doesn’t that impress you these Marines. That is impressive. Hallelujah it’s not a pentecostal thing like people say it is it’s not it’s a scriptural thing both in the New Testament and the Old Testament it’s been around for thousands of years lifting up hands they want to tag everything we’re Pentecostals [unclear] yes.
Scripture in this part
1 Timothy 2:8 (NKJV)
I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;
— 1 Timothy 2:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:22 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does Lamentations 2:19 ask?
Short answer: Pour out your heart like water before the Lord; lift your hands toward him for the life of your young children. Our kids are watching how we live.
▶ 15:19 So we have an excuse not to act like those weirdos. See we put ourself above when we do that we put ourselves above others you understand that. Hallelujah. Lamentations 2:19 pour out your heart there’s that heart again my soul longs for you I’m [unclear] I’m thirsty for you Jesus I want you Jesus pour it out like water before the face the presence of the Lord lift your hands toward him for the life of your children here the children are again children are always coming up in this message [unclear] God cares about children and he’s talking to the nation here not just my children he’s talking to all the children in the nation.
▶ 16:20 And one that is sincere about Jesus was going to be sincere about children raising them up in the nurture and admonition [unclear] an example to them and children is both young believers. Baby Christian and young children do you yearn for these children as Christ yearns for them. He’s always bringing up the children you know that that and the children in America are the brunt of the freedom that adults are wanting and in the name of adult freedom were abusing our kids neglecting our kids giving them false doctrine false teaching for standard false morality the kids are paying the price for this so-called adult freedom in America.
▶ 17:23 But God cares for those children amen. And we need to get a heart for these children our own children. are you there what we say what we do how we act at home how we act the church the kids are watching and learning from you what are they seeing. Hallelujah I mean it could use a little change in your life yeah some of us are honest yes we need change we need change. Now I’m going to explain clearly Lord open everybody’s understanding. this is good [unclear] the Bible is going to tell us clearly plainly why lifting of the hands [unclear] okay the purpose and the understanding and the clarity of lifting of hands.
Scripture in this part
Lamentations 2:19 (NKJV)
“Arise, cry out in the night, At the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him For the life of your young children, Who faint from hunger at the head of every street.”
— Lamentations 2:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:19What does Psalm 141:2 compare prayer and lifted hands to?
Short answer: Let my prayer be set before you as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Revelation 5:8; 8:4: the incense is the prayers of the saints ascending before God.
▶ 18:28 Now you remember we told you that the tabernacle of Moses tabernacle of Solomon was a pattern of heavenly things remember that in hebrew okay and everything that God did with Israel was for our learning and our understanding and our example on whom the ends of the world have come okay just reminding you that not just Old Testament nonsense it is a pattern a shadow of the real thing of the heavenly tabernacle the way things are done in the heaven and in Psalms 141:2 let my prayer be set before you as incense like incense in the same manner as incense what does incense do when you burn it. It’s smoke then goes up and penetrates the molecules in the air and spreads through and you are smell it hallelujah let my prayer be like that now.
▶ 19:32 The Bible always backs up its its truth always backs up its truth Revelation 5:8 before the lamb over there in Revelation Revelation before Jesus there were golden bowls full of incense and then he explained clearly. Which are the prayers of the saints. incense is the what prayers of the saints he gives us a natural illustration so we can understand the spiritual. Got it and just to make sure in Revelation 8:4 the smoke of the incense with the what prayers of the saints ascended before the presence of God when we pray. Our prayers ascend into the heavens before the presence of God.
Scripture in this part
Psalm 141:2 (NKJV)
Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
— Psalm 141:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:28Revelation 5:8 (NKJV)
Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
— Revelation 5:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:32Revelation 8:4 (NKJV)
And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.
— Revelation 8:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:32What was the evening sacrifice?
Short answer: Exodus 29:39–42: one lamb in the morning and one at evening, a continual burnt offering at the tabernacle door, where I will meet with you. Jesus is the door; lifting hands is how we meet him.
▶ 20:31 and I say it like incense in the same manner as incense now he goes on in this verse to talk about lifting of hand he introduces it by saying prayer is like incense now he says the lifting of my hands is like the evening sacrifice. Aha now I got something I can hang on to to understand the evening sacrifice is the same as me what lifting my hand so let’s look at the evening sacrifice Exodus 29:39 the action everyday daily one lamb offered in the morning the other offered it evening why a sweet savour just like the incense unto the Lord how often a continual burnt offering we’re at the door of the tabernacle where I will what meet’s the reaction God will watch meet you and speak.
▶ 21:43 There to you. All of a sudden lifting my hand gets very important do I want to meet with Jesus absolutely do I want him to speak to me at my level in my situation amen then lifting my hand I’m gonna have to get over my [unclear] there was a lamb offered in the morning another one in the evening a sweet savour that went up before the Lord just like incense and how often continually and it is a burnt offering it’s the offering that the offer could not partake of the whole animal was burnt on the altar. It took about 12 hours for that animal to burn up and then in the evening another one was offered so that 24 hours a day these offerings were going up as a sweet savour a sweet smell under the law.
▶ 22:47 Got it alleluia. Who’s the door who’s the door Jesus so we do this at the door before Jesus you see the prayers of the saints were before the land when we gather together who’s in our midst Jesus I will be in the midst so we do this the door is Jesus Christ we’re looking for him he is the opening to him you got it alleluia everything is about Jesus and now and at the door of Jesus the focus on Jesus he will encounter me meet with me touch me how many have had at least one encounter one meeting with Jesus Christ.
▶ 23:41 How many had more than one how many has found that you could meet with him every week yeah. Out of the everyday. Man it makes the day much better for that touch of Jesus just by praising him seeking him wow and folks this is the whole purpose God wants to meet with you and he asked you to pray he asked you to praise him and he asked you to lift your hands and when he sees the lifting of hands he will meet with you and he will talk to you and that makes all the difference in the world people going around trying to read the latest book and get a hold of the latest speaker who’s the who’s the big speaker of the day when they need to get a hold of Jesus tins himself.
Scripture in this part
Exodus 29:39-42 (NKJV)
One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight. With the one lamb shall be one-tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of pressed oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering. And the other lamb you shall offer at twilight; and you shall offer with it the grain offering and the drink offering, as in the morning, for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD. This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet you to speak with you.
— Exodus 29:39-42 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:31How did Jesus fulfill the morning and evening sacrifices?
Short answer: Mark 15:1: in the morning they bound him and led him to Pilate; he was crucified at the third hour; darkness came from the sixth to the ninth hour—no eclipse, he says; Matthew 27:57: when evening came he was buried, as the Passover lamb.
▶ 24:39 Now. Now I want to show you that the Bible is a supernatural book Jesus fulfilled everything in the law and the prophets okay everything in the heavenly pattern he fulfilled Mark 15:1 in the morning when is one of these lambs offered in the morning the chief priests the elders the scribes and the whole council these are religious leaders folks these are people to claim to serve God and God is with them and they bind him and led him to Pilate to die when did this happen in the morning say in the morning why is this so important that the Bible said it was in the morning because the morning sacrifice duh are you with me see every jot tittle must be fulfilled.
▶ 25:41 Powerful this a supernatural book it’s not a book made by man like the secular people try to say that people wrote it and they wrote the answers to their promises [unclear] you cannot go to that book and not see a supernatural work in the Bible and this is one of them very timely and it’s religious people [unclear] we could have been them well we serve God but we won’t worship him we can’t identify him when he comes they didn’t even identify that Jesus was God they’re trying to kill him and yet they say they serve God are you there could it be like that today in some cases yeah. Mark 1:32 1 establish when evening is an evening when the sun did set.
▶ 26:42 Evening when the sun did set so when is evening when the sun goes down the Jews have 12 segments in the day and 12 segments at night in the summertime. Those segments will be longer than an hour in the wintertime those segments or if I got it backwards will be adjusted you see you understand wasn’t 60 minutes all right in the summer there’s longer days so the segments had what more minutes in and in winter they’re shorter days so the segments would have less minutes in and that’s called the twelfth hour in the Bible when the sun set what our 12 hour why is that important well it gives us an accurate account of the actions on this day that Jesus died.
▶ 27:43 He was nailed to the cross on the third hour which would be a will say about nine o’clock will say the day’s equal when it’s days are equally so he was nailed to the cross in the morning while the morning sacrifice was being burnt in the temple. Okay and it got dark from 6 to the ninth hour that will say it’s from 12 to three it got dark okay and don’t give me this eclipse stuff there is no eclipse that last three hours. you know secular scientific idiots come up with this stuff. It’s true I mean no eclipse ever lasts three hours only last a short period of time I’m all right yeah.
▶ 28:36 But it was dark darkness brought by God just like there was darkness in Egypt brought by God. Hallelujah. And folks if he did this in the past before he comes there are some real manifestations of God coming on the scene alright. and so the ninth hour. He died. He was not put in the tomb Matthew 27:57 when evening was come when is evening sunset. When the sun had set Joseph of Arimathea begged Pilate for Jesus’s body and laid it in his own tomb so Jesus went into the grave at the time of the evening sacrifice and there’s.
▶ 29:33 Another sacrifice going on this day because this day is what. Passover day there’s a Passover lamb where they could eat the lamb and then there’s the burnt offering where they don’t eat it’s just a sweet savour going up before God and he fulfilled both of them. At the same time at evening time just like the natural said it evening are you with me now doesn’t that just show us this is a supernatural book written by supernatural God amen young people you need to know that because they are bombarding the Bible is just a book of myths and superstitions and contradicts itself and all the rest bunch of baloney this book is a powerful supernatural book and so.
Scripture in this part
Mark 15:1 (NKJV)
Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.
— Mark 15:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 24:39Matthew 27:57 (NKJV)
Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.
— Matthew 27:57 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:36How does lifting hands relate to communion?
Short answer: Communion remembers the Lord’s death until he comes; lifting hands actively praises his death, burial and resurrection. Hebrews 13:15: offer the sacrifice of praise continually, the fruit of our lips.
▶ 30:29 Each time at the very at the very exact time in the evening sacrifice Jesus was buried and so was the Passover lamb as I said now how many know what the communion table is about. To remember the Lord’s death until he comes alright so we partake of the body the bread and we partake of the blood the covenant the wine the blood the new covenant and we can do it [unclear] for sin and all that. How many of you take communion. not a soul in here has a problem with communion.
▶ 31:15 well guess what lifting the hand does. It brags and praises and boast about and blesses the death of Christ the blood of Christ it’s active it’s not a remembrance thing it is a participation thing I will praise him I thank you for dying for me Lord I thank you for rising from the grave I thank you Lord Jesus I bless you you took my sins you took my problems you took my pain Jesus I bless you I praise you I exalt you I thank you for your death you overcame death hell and the grave that’s what lifting your hands and praise is all about it’s about being active about his death burial and resurrection can I hear an amen it’s not just remembering ah now it is participating act active in it how many can say praise the Lord Jesus.
▶ 32:14 Yeah. It’s active. Now that’s clear isn’t it I mean the Bible is very plain very clear now. Hebrews 13:15 let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God what continually where does the hebrew writer get that. From this verse this continual. Morning and evening sacrifice. We’re to offer a praise the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name how often. Continually that’s why you don’t have to wait for church to meet with God you can meet with him on Monday through Saturday in your prayer time in your worship time he will come and meet with you he will come and talk to you he will come and teach you and open your understanding and meet the needs that you have in that family and in your life hallelujah I submit to you the body ministry is the power not separate not egotistical ministers but body ministry where we pray together we seek God together and God flows out of the body and does.
▶ 33:30 These things could I get an amen every joint supplies not some [unclear] ministry you know the mighty man of God the mighty woman of God forget the mighty man of God the mighty woman of God it’s not about ministry it’s not about singing the singers it’s not about the musician it’s not about church program it’s not a building program are you with me it’s about Jesus meeting with his people and talking to them open and understanding and strengthen them by might in the inner man he says I will strengthen you with supernatural power in the inner man my spirit and I need that how many needs us yes and when does he do it when we lift our hands and praise him like he said. Making a public declaration that I have allegiance to Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ only lifting hands with praise and prayer is the evening sacrifice as we showed you and Jesus will meet and will speak with us and do supernatural things when we do that and Ezra.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 11:26 (NKJV)
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
— 1 Corinthians 11:26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:49 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Hebrews 13:15 (NKJV)
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
— Hebrews 13:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:27What happened at Ezra’s evening sacrifice?
Short answer: Ezra 9:5; 10:1: at the evening sacrifice Ezra fell on his knees, spread out his hands and confessed; a very large assembly wept bitterly; one said there is still hope for Israel. God’s presence did what debate couldn’t.
▶ 34:38 9:5 in chapter 10 verse 1 [unclear] what evening sacrifice you see why is it [unclear] in such detail like that because God wants you to know if he did it in the Old Testament at the evening sacrifice he will do it for you when you lift your hand and. you lift your voice unto God. Ezra fell on his knees spread out his hands to the Lord for sins of the nation are you there spread out his hand for sin while he was praying for the sins of the nation confessing the sins of the nation and his own sins weeping [unclear] a very large assembly of men women and children came and wept very bitterly for their sins.
▶ 35:38 Alleluia. You notice this crowd did not have a problem with the church order we’re so afraid oh well if we see God weep and cry yeah man it’s going to it’s going to turn people off you’re going to turn people off when you don’t have the power of its presence in your head they’re going to say what do I need to come to church for. Are we there. didn’t turn off the congregation in fact drew them it attracted them one by one they came until there was what a very large multitude. Weeping bitterly. For their sins now wouldn’t you like to see that in Elsinore would you like to see that in some of your family members where they come to church and they kneel down and they weep because of God’s presence convicting them of sin you’ve tried to do it for years with your knowledge of the Bible.
▶ 36:46 And you got into debates about the Bible with him and you just can’t understand what he’s hard-headed people can’t see the scripture but when the presence of God came at the evening sacrifice God did what all the debating could not do all the talk could not do God did because he came and met with the people drew them in spoke to them about their sin and one of them stood up and said what there is still hope for Israel. Amen they were confessing there’s hope because we can repent from that sin be forgiven from that sin cleanse from that sin and serve God again there is hope for Israel I don’t care what your sin is I don’t care what your mistake is when you confessed it and turn from it God will come to you and bless your life can I hear an amen alleluia.

Ezra 9:5 (NKJV)
At the evening sacrifice I arose from my fasting; and having torn my garment and my robe, I fell on my knees and spread out my hands to the LORD my God.
— Ezra 9:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 34:38Ezra 10:1-2 (NKJV)
Now while Ezra was praying, and while he was confessing, weeping, and bowing down before the house of God, a very large assembly of men, women, and children gathered to him from Israel; for the people wept very bitterly. And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, spoke up and said to Ezra, “We have trespassed against our God, and have taken pagan wives from the peoples of the land; yet now there is hope in Israel in spite of this.
— Ezra 10:1-2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 37:28 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What else happened at evening?
Short answer: 1 Kings 17:6: ravens fed Elijah morning and evening. 1 Kings 18:36–39: at the evening sacrifice fire fell and people said the Lord, he is God. Daniel 9:21: Gabriel came to give skill and understanding. Luke 24:29–31: abide with us; their eyes were opened.
▶ 38:02 First Kings 17:6 the ravens took Elijah bread and flesh in the morning and the evening see when is the sacrifices morning and evening and he drank from a brook in a drought there was no water in the land. But Elijah had a brook to drink from and the ravens were bringing him food from somewhere probably the king’s house. God was after him and chasing him down and the bread is the intermediate word of God the milk is the baby food the bread is the intermediate word of God and the meat is the [unclear] okay comes in three levels and we need milk bread and meat all the time darling yes if you’re so deep in God that all you can do is get into the meat of the word and you better start drinking some milk and eating some bread because the meat is backed up with the bread and the milk of the word 1st Kings 18:36 at the time of what evening sacrifice Elijah said Lord let it be known this day that you are God and the fire of the Lord fell.
▶ 39:30 Consumed the sacrifice and many converted seeing the Lord he is God how many want to see people convert how many are finding it’s very difficult just exchanging biblical understanding it takes the fire of God the spirit of God coming and convicting and touching the heart and turning the heart and I’ve seen it many times false religions are exposed. When the power God falls from heaven and when you’re not lining up to Christ you have false religion in you we’re not looking it isn’t necessarily denomination like the Mormons or Jehovah’s Witnesses when you are not lining up to the word you have some false things in you and the presence of God was exposing and we don’t want to be exposed but exposing is exactly what we need and I right.
▶ 40:28 Daniel 9:21 near the evening offering Gabriel an angel informed me I have come to give you what skill. wisdom understanding how we could use a little skill and the things of the spirit yeah some wisdom yeah and some understanding well what’s going to bring it to us praising God with our hands lifted with our voices raised getting out of our self. Thinking in these procedures and methods and just letting God come and touch us and speak to us and transform us. Luke 24:29 it’s nearly evening abide with us these are two disciples on the road to Emmaus come into the house and abide with us how many want Jesus to abide with you yes that was good that they wanted he took bread [unclear] and he gave thanks and broke it and began to give it to them he just began to hand it out they hadn’t even eaten yet then their eyes were what open and they knew him.
▶ 41:43 Don’t you want to know him remember back there my heart yearns for the Lord for the living God my heart yearns. And they invited him in. Their eyes were open they thought they could see already how many think you see already [unclear] you think you see and you tell people what you see and you’re so sure you see everything that you’re not open to anything. But when he comes he’ll open your eyes and you’ll see him as he is and you see yourself as you are and where you’re at and then he will [unclear] and change you and they.

And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.

yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand.
— Daniel 9:21-22 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 40:28Luke 24:29-31 (NKJV)
But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.
— Luke 24:29-31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 41:12What did Jesus do when he appeared at evening?
Short answer: John 20:19–22: the disciples were glad; he said peace to you; as the Father sent me, I send you; receive the Holy Ghost. Acts 1:8: power to be witnesses. Every joint supplies—don’t wait for TV and megachurch ministers.
▶ 42:47 Knew him. And that’s in the new covenant all shall know me from the least to the greatest all shall know me. John 20:19 at evening Jesus appeared to the disciples and they were what glad. You know serving God is a joyful thing folks even him changing me and with joy draw waters out of the wells of what salvation when God is delivering me from my errors from my mistakes there is joy in it it’s not [unclear] everything isn’t heavy and depressing amen get out of the depression get into the fire. Yeah as Peter said you are a chosen generation a royal priesthood a holy nation a special people to proclaim the praises of him that actually brought you out of darkness into his marvelous light he did something in your life it wasn’t something by faith it wasn’t something that you just you just [unclear] upon yourself it happened he brought you out of darkness he brought you into his marvelous light and he told you to proclaim the praises of him.
▶ 44:08 And if you can’t proclaim those praises maybe you haven’t been transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light yet maybe you’re in the faith realm where you just believe you are wow that was good. Alleluia that was really good think on that. am I just living in the faith realm or has God came to me. Transported me from the kingdom of darkness from Satan and sin into the kingdom of light. Jesus said peace to you here he is spoke see he met with them they were glad in the meeting with them they were happy and peace to you here he’s speaking peace to you like absence of conflicts as the father has sent me I also send you whoo I don’t want to hear that word oh ho I don’t want to hear that.
▶ 45:13 See he’s going to tell you to go to church he’s going to tell you to read your Bible he’s going to tell you to pray why because you’re going to encounter people that you need to transmit the message to as God sent me into the world with the Holy Spirit and with the word so send I you oh. No not the evangelist job that’s the preachers job [unclear] no he’s going to say I’m going to send you but he always prepares us what before he sends you he’ll never send you unprepared and then he says what. Receive the Holy Ghost why is that important. Yeah you shall receive what power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you to be witnesses to be what not tongues witnesses.
▶ 46:15 Not miracles witness is under me both in Jerusalem Judea and the uttermost parts of the world I’m going to send you to share my truth my character with other people and [unclear] my character. Amen. Hallelujah what else does the Holy Ghost do. All truth you can’t get truth without the Holy Ghost and how many did God say would have the Holy Ghost all oh. It’s not this isn’t for just Pentecostals and charismatics for everybody and I’ve showed you videos of people all over the world meeting with Jesus all over the world worshiping him and praising it.
▶ 47:10 Because they were met with by the Holy Spirit they had an encounter with God by the spirit and they are expressing their praise and their love for God by the spirit by the way the word says hallelujah. This is what separates Christians from world religions and his protocol of praising thanking blessing Jesus publicly to meet and speak with people here you see the protestant. Denominational majority in nations here you see the Catholic majority. here is the Buddhist here’s a Hindu and so forth and here is the Sunni muslim and here is the Shia muslim.
▶ 48:05 Folks we got a long ways to go people that want Jesus to come back tomorrow don’t know they’re gone people that think he’s coming back tomorrow or today anytime don’t know their God and they don’t know their Bible people there is billions of that God cares about. [unclear] amen and what’s the big hindrance we’re all waiting for the mighty man God to go and tell them instead of us sharing at work sharing in the community sharing with people with me just sharing what’s genuine with you what’s real with you you don’t have to share anything above your head just what’s real with you it will become bread and life to them can I hear an amen we in America have been dependent on the mega church ministers the tv ministers for too long the Bible says in Ephesians that every joint supplies in the body of Christ amen this is a many membered body movement that God is going to raise up in the last day.

John 20:19-22 (NKJV)
Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
