Leadership in the Last Days: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In this message Pastor David G. Kincer studies Isaiah 3 and 4 to explain why God removes designated leaders, saying unqualified leadership, role reversal in the home, and giving in to money, popularity and sexual temptation lead the church into error. He argues for Jesus as Lord over all leaders, discusses his views on conservative politics and fundamentalism, and says the word and Spirit must burn sin out of the church.
Why does God take away the designated leaders in Isaiah 3? (Isaiah 3:1, Isaiah 3:8)
Short answer: He says Isaiah 3 shows God removing “all designated leaders, all approved leaders” from Jerusalem and Judea, which he says stand for the church in these latter days. He says it is because the church “has stumbled” and “has fallen,” since their words and doings are against the Lord, and when God’s people do that “God is going to intervene.”
▶ 0:00 In Isaiah chapter 3, we’re going to see a removal of all designated leaders, all approved leaders by God, all the ones that God determined would be leaders. God says he’s going to take them away, all designated leaders. In verse one of chapter 3, “The Lord takes away from Jerusalem and Judea.” Now, who’s Jerusalem? chur Church. Who’s Judea? Church. Church who Zion? Church. Yes. See, he uses the report of Jerusalem, the report of Judah, the report of Zion to teach us, in these latter days, the church. So he’s going to take away the support of the bread and water, that’s the economic part, and the support of, or leaning on, the mighty man, the man of war, the the judge, the prophet, the prudent, the ancient, the captain of 50, the honorable man, the counselor, the skilled worker and the eloquent speaker. Jesus Christ, the Lord himself, is going to take them away.
▶ 1:14 Now, we’ve got to ask ourselves the question: why would he do that? And of course Isaiah 3 is going to tell us why. Why he’s going to take away the designated leadership okay in his people. Now, we’re not talking about the heathen, we’re talking about the church, God’s people. In Isaiah 3:8, “Jerusalem stumbled,” okay, “and Judah is fallen.” Okay, the church has stumbled, the church has fallen. Verse eight, “because their tongue,” their way they talk, “and their doings,” the way they behave, “are against the Lord.” They’re against who? The Lord. It may be okay for the crowd. The whole crowd may approve it. Your church may approve of things that are against God. It doesn’t matter if they approve. When we do things against God, God is going to intervene. That’s his job. He’s a good Father.
▶ 2:36 So the church has stumbled, the church has fallen. Do we have that condition in America in many of the churches? Yes. Yeah. Many of God’s people, are they doing and saying things that actually oppose the scriptures? Absolutely. All right. So we’re going to look at one of the sources of this behavior. It’s not the only source, but this is the source that Isaiah is dealing with. We’re going to look at the source of this behavior, and it is unqualified leadership. Unqualified leadership, and that’s why he removed them. They became unqualified.

Isaiah 3:1 (NKJV)
For behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, Takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah The stock and the store, The whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water;
— Isaiah 3:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:21Isaiah 3:8 (NKJV)
For Jerusalem stumbled, And Judah is fallen, Because their tongue and their doings Are against the LORD, To provoke the eyes of His glory.
— Isaiah 3:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:41What does Isaiah 3:4 mean by children and babies ruling over God’s people? (Isaiah 3:4, Isaiah 3:12, 1 Corinthians 3:3)
Short answer: He says “babies” are saved Christians who have not conquered sin and are jealous, quarrel and divide, and “children” are learning and obeying but have not conquered Satan or become strong in the scriptures. He says “putting a title of a pastor on you does not make you a pastor,” and he says that people who want to stay a baby go to a church where they can.
▶ 3:35 Okay, Isaiah 3:4: “I will give children to be their princes, and babies shall rule over them.” I’m going to replace the designated leaders with children. Now, you remember our study on the levels of Christianity, the levels of spiritual growth. Babies know the Lord, they’re saved by the blood, but they have problems with what? Sin. See, they haven’t conquered sin. And remember in 1 Corinthians 3:3 it says that babies are jealous, they quarrel, they divide, as well as have problems with sin, sexual immorality, stealing, these things. things Children, on the other hand, were those that were learning and obeying the word, but they had not conquered Satan yet, and they had not come to the place where they were strong in the scriptures yet, but they were learning and obeying what they learn. Okay, and he says, “I’m going to put these and leadership of the church.” Do we have a lot of this in America? Oh yeah. Putting a title of a pastor on you does not make you a pastor at all. You may be a baby Christian. And a lot of people are going to home Bible studies, and when I investigated the home Bible studies, it’s just a bunch of babies and children Christians trying to teach babies and Christian children. And so the reality of that is in America today.
▶ 5:30 And a lot of people don’t want to grow up, so they go to a church where they can stay a baby. Sin’s okay. They go to a church where they can stay a child. You know, they don’t want to learn much, just enough, and that’s it. They don’t want to overcome Satan, and they don’t want to be skillful in the word of God. Okay, verse 12: “As for my people, children are their oppressors,” they the tyrants, the dictators. And in America today, children are dictating a lot of homes. You know, you learn Christian, you learn good character in church, not on the little league field or in the ballet dance hall. You’re going to learn character at church. That’s where you learn character. Are you there? And yet every Saturday and all through the week, moms are taking their kids to soccer games, football games, baseball games, you know, ballet, dance, jazz dance, this, that, the other, and then we have, they want take them to church. And so children are what? Dictating, running the home. Are you out there, America?
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 3:4 (NKJV)
“I will give children to be their princes, And babes shall rule over them.
— Isaiah 3:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:361 Corinthians 3:3 (NKJV)
for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?
— 1 Corinthians 3:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:13Isaiah 3:12 (NKJV)
As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.”
— Isaiah 3:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:55What does he say “women rule over them” means, and who should lead the home? (Isaiah 3:12)
Short answer: He says it is “a reversal of leadership,” where the people who should have been leading were disqualified, and that parents, “specifically the father,” should lead the home. He says the Bible has a small percent of women leaders and God “chooses, in the Bible, few women,” and he says that when a father does not provide, the mother has to step in.
▶ 6:59 “And women rule over them.” Now in the Bible, women can be rulers, but they are a small percent. When you go through the Bible, a very small percent of women were chosen to lead. You know, you can say all you want, some people are against women leadership, and some people think that just because they’re a woman they should be able to be a leader, and it isn’t that way at all. God chooses, in the Bible, few women. That’s the bottom line. But he did choose them. Hallelujah. And so women are ruling over them. Why did he say that? Because it’s a reversal of leadership here. They’re taking the people that should have been leading, and somehow got disqualified, as we will see later here, and he’s replacing them with a reverse leadership. Children should not be leading the home. The parents should be leading the home, and specifically the father. Gentlemen, God gives you directly responsibility to provide for, take care of your wife, give her food, clothing and shelter, medical, whatever that is, directly from God to every male.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 3:12 (NKJV)
As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.”
— Isaiah 3:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:59 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say about women leaders and men who give in to temptation?
Short answer: He says that in his experience women leaders have “a tremendous high percentage of caving in to their emotions” and are “too emotionally involved” to discipline. He also says that men take bribes and love position, title and popularity, and that a church leader is “only allowed to preach what the Bible says to preach.”
▶ 8:33 But when the male doesn’t do that, what’s the woman got to do? She can’t get let her kids go without medical. She can’t let her kids go without clothing. So when the appointed rulers don’t rule, God, you know, somebody’s got to step in. And when both parents don’t do their job, then the child runs the home. Something to think on. Yeah. Listen, in my experience with women leaders, they have a tremendous high percentage of caving in to their emotions. That is the bottom line. They want discipline and punish because they’re too in love with the person. They’re too emotionally involved. You know, I’ve seen women pastors fall apart emotionally, make horrible decisions from emotions. And God made women emotional. But you got men, they take bribes. You know, you can get them to be wrong just by offering a money, men like position. They like the title of “I’m the man of the house.” Yeah, they like the position of pastor or senator or house of represent. Yeah, they like the title. They’re cocky, they talk cocky, they act cocky. The Mexicans calls it the macho syndrome. on The man of the house. H Well, if you’re really the man of the house, you wouldn’t have to tell us you are. Ain’t that right? Yeah. Am You’ just be doing your job. Well, that was good.
How does he say greed and sexual sin lead the church into error? (Isaiah 3:12)
Short answer: He says men and women in church leadership have given in to money, position and popularity, and he gives examples of pastors who have affairs or who preach a certain way to please a spouse. He quotes “they which lead you cause you to err” and says that if leaders “if they’re not leading right, they’re teaching you error, and error brings you to destruction.”
▶ 11:06 Men also like popularity, and I know many men pastors that have given in to money, position, a title and popularity. Whatever the people want, they give it to them. A church leader cannot do that, right? You’re only allowed to preach what the Bible says to preach. And if the people don’t hear it, it’s not your job to say what they want to hear so you’re popular and they keep following you. And men and both women in the church leadership have done this. I’ve seen it over and over, and the biggest one, men, all a woman has to do is show her cleavage or bear her thigh and they’re gone. You know, you have an affair going on in the church, the pastor usually are running off with the piano player or whatever. And see, when that happens, women are running things. When they can shake their body at us and we cave in, they’re running things. Are you there? I know pastors that will preach a certain way because if they don’t, their wife at home won’t have sex with them.
▶ 12:29 And men, are they got their problems too. They lack emotion, but boy, they don’t have any problem with greed, position, popularity and all these other things. Are you out there? And don’t we read all the time where sexual immorality yes is caught in the church? Yes. Yeah. And it shouldn’t be, should not be. now “Oh my people, they which lead you cause you to error and destroy the way of your past.” Whether it’s the woman, the child, the baby or the designated leaders, if they’re not leading right, they’re teaching you error, and error brings you to destruction. And folks, we got that in America. The results of laws in America is bringing destruction upon American families and American lives. In the church world, world the teachings, of the the popular teachings in the church world in America, is bringing error and destruction in Christians’ lives. And so leadership is very important, and we have a reversal of leadership, and we just have more moral failure.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 3:12 (NKJV)
As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.”
— Isaiah 3:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:58 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Is leadership about skin color or gender, and why does immorality bring God’s intervention?
Short answer: He says leadership “is not the color of your skin,” whether you are male or female, young or old, or have a degree, but “what you’ve experienced… the wisdom from above.” He says America kept “headed downhill” when women and minorities entered politics, so being wrong is wrong whoever it is, and “immorality will bring the intervention of God.”
▶ 13:52 I want to remind you that leadership is not the color of your skin. It’s not whether you’re male or female. It’s not whether you’re young or old. It’s not whether you got a college degree. But it’s what you’ve experienced, what you’ve attained in the wisdom from above and experienced in life that will make you a good leader. And I can prove it. You know, back in the ‘50s, it was all white Congress and Senate and everything else, and it was all male. Okay, the ‘50s was our utopia years in America. The Bible was exalted, Christ was exalted then. The ‘60s came in, women came in the political arena, blacks came in the political arena, Mexicans came in. It didn’t change the direction of Amer America. We kept headed downhill. See, it doesn’t matter if it’s a woman, if she’s wrong, she’s still wrong. Isn’t that right? It doesn’t matter if it’s a black, if they’re wrong, they’re what? Still wrong. And so the women who thought they were going to step in and really show us men a thing or two in America, we’re still going downhill. We’re still suffering from the decisions made years ago, and every administration blames the last one when it’s all of them’s fault.
▶ 15:35 Men aren’t taking their place in the family union in America today, and the government is the reason they’re at fault. I’m just going to flat out tell you, they’re a big cause of the destruction of the family in America, making these laws and immoral laws. I want to submit to you this morning that immorality will bring the intervention of God. And there was a black pastor being interviewed this week on Fox News, and he said what I’m going to tell you: it isn’t the economy that’s America’s problem, it’s the morality. And they paid no attention. They listened nice and politely and then went on, and the guy was nailing it right on the head. And until we get our laws back to moral laws and the Americans get their minds back to a moral mind, we’re not going to see a blessed and prosperous America like we’ve seen before, cuz God’s going to intervene. Where there’s immorality, God’s going to come and intervene. He’s going to try and straighten it out.
Why does he say conservatives and fundamentalists are closest to the Bible, and that politics is not separate from faith?
Short answer: He says the conservative and fundamental evangelical groups are “the closest thing this morning to the Bible understanding of civil leaders,” and lists free enterprise, a strong military, the right to bear arms and capital punishment as “Bible.” He says Jesus said “my word is spirit,” so government, family and economics are spiritual subjects, and calls the sacred–secular split “a big lie that the American church has believed.”
▶ 16:55 And I want to submit to you that the conservative group is is the closest thing this morning to the Bible understanding of civil leaders. All right. The fundamental and the evangelical group is the closest group to the church leadership according to the Bible. The Bible is for free enterprise. You can own property, you can make as much money as you want to off of that property, whatever you come up with. That’s Bible free enterprise. You understand that? The Bible is for a strong military. God initiated the draft, he initiated the military, and he expects us to follow his instructions on it. The right to bear arms is in the Bible. A solid judicial system with capital punishment is Bible, and the conservatives believe this stuff and they push for this stuff, and that’s very Bible. And you say, “Well, you’re not supposed to be talking about politics.” Listen, you young ones have got to get an education right now. You ready for this? America is trying to tell you there’s a difference between the sacred and the secular, the Bible, the spiritual, and the secular, non-spiritual. No Bible. Listen, Jesus said, “My word is spirit and my word is truth.”
▶ 18:43 He talks about politics and leadership as the third highest topic that I can figure out in the Bible. Now, his word is what? Spirit. So leadership, civil leaders, is not a [unclear] thing. When you go to the Bible, it is a Bible subject. Can I hear an amen? But they want to tell you, no no, no, no, no, the Bible is spiritual, it’s a book of faith. It never says that in the Bible, it’s a book of faith. It’s a book of truth. And you can’t use the Bible for any kind of civil stuff. That’s a big lie that the American church has believed. You can’t separate these things. When it it comes to the family, the Bible speaks of the family, and that makes it spiritual. We have a right to speak about the family, about government, uh, about economy, economics, because it’s all Bible, and his word is what? Spirit. So it’s spiritual, so we have a right to talk about it. Amen.
Scripture in this part
John 6:63 (NKJV)
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
— John 6:63 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:36 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say about secular humanism, and about praying and singing with compassion? (1 Corinthians 14)
Short answer: He says secular humanists are “only 20% of the population” while fundamental evangelical Christians are 76% but are “a sleeping giant” not getting involved. He says praying and singing “about” things is not the same as praying and singing “by the Holy Spirit,” with compassion, and that our prayer should move from the problem to “God, here I am, use me.”
▶ 19:54 The secular humanism, the religion of secular humanism, and destroying America when they’re only 20% of the population, and they’re totally against the Bible, they’re totally against Christ. And the fundamental evangelical Christians is 76% of our population. We have the majority, and we are a sleeping giant not doing what we said to do. We won’t get involved in these things, and we’re losing because we’re not getting involved. We’re praying about it. Do you know there’s a difference in praying about something than praying with compassion because you care? Do you know there’s a difference in singing? This morning we did a lot of singing about the harvest, about Jesus, but we didn’t have a lot of singing with care. We sing about the Holy Spirit, but we’re supposed to sing by the Holy Spirit, according to 1 Corinthians 14. Are you hearing me? See, and when you don’t possess the compassion and the experience of the Holy Ghost, you put on a demonstration. Are you there? I’m just giving you some tidbits that can open the windows of heaven to you.
▶ 21:40 see, there has to be a transition. The prophet said, “Here I am, use me,” until our prayers are about God using us instead of about the harvest, about the problem in America. But uh, now it’s about us, “God, here I am, use me.” That’s going to revolutionize the church. Are you hearing me? See, the Bible says, “I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, I will sing with the understanding.” That transition into the spirit realm is what makes the difference. Oh well, I thought it was good. In other words, we can go go through the formalities without the power. All right.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 14:15 (NKJV)
What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.
— 1 Corinthians 14:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:09 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say conservatives stand for, and where does he think they err?
Short answer: He says real conservatives promote low-cost infrastructure and low taxes, and that people should go to the sources and not the internet to learn about them. He says they err by compromising with liberals on moral issues and as “moderates,” which he calls watering down truth, and that spreading democracy through war and welfare without work do not come from the Bible.
▶ 22:36 Uh, conservatives, they believe in, uh, and they promote low-cost infrastructure, which means low taxes, low fuel cost, roads so we can get around, railroads, airplanes, transportation, everything, water, food, all that should be very inexpensive, because that promotes an e an economical system, because they got money to spend on other things. Are you there? This is what the conservatives stand for, the real ones. Okay, and don’t go to the internet and let somebody that’s not a conservative explain to you what a conservative is. They are lying to you. Don’t believe everything on the internet. You got to go to the sources to learn about them, not somebody’s interpretation. Now, they may err when it comes to compromising with liberals on moral areas, and we got conservatives in Congress that are, they’re compromising, they call them moderates. You can’t change a few few things and call yourself a moderate and get my attention. You know, either things are right or wrong, they’re either truth or they’re error. Don’t give me this, well, we’ll put a little truth in with a little error. Oh no. Uh, what’s that Arizona senator? McCain. Yeah, joins the church 3 months before he announces he’s going to run for president. I couldn’t vote for him. I I can’t stand hypocrisy.
▶ 24:29 And I can’t stand being in the middle of the road in the disguise of trying to get something, will negotiate. I don’t think you negotiate truth, and that means water it down because you can get a little bit and and give a little bit. Truth excels, and we got to stand for it. Could that be an amen? Uh, welfare without work. Uh, spreading democracy. Some of these conservatives want to spread democracy and they want to police the world. I don’t see in the Bible anywhere where one nation is supposed to be the policeman of the world, and we can’t spread democracy through war, and democracy isn’t the key anyway, because if the majority is evil, then you got an evil nation, and democracy is the rulership of the Maj majority. All right, a republic was what they gave us, and we need to keep it.
What do fundamentalists and evangelicals believe, and what does he say some add?
Short answer: He says fundamentalists and evangelicals believe in the virgin birth, the deity of Jesus, His miracles, death, resurrection and return, heaven, hell, Satan and morality, but that some add things such as no miracles or tongues for today, “politics are of the devil,” “once saved always saved,” and that “water baptism is symbolic.” He says those additions are wrong and that Christians of different denominations should associate and be tested by other sources.
▶ 25:41 The fundamentalists, the evangelicals, they believe that the Bible is the word of truth. They believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, he was God, and he was the Son of God. They believe that he did miracles, he preached the gospel, and he died and rose again, and he’s coming back this second time. They believe in a heaven and hell, they believe in Satan, and they believe in morality. Now, every spirit-filled church I know is a fundamentalist. The Baptists are fundamentalist, a lot of your denominations are fundamentalists. They believe in the basic fundamental things of the Bible, but some of them add to it, and they are wrong when they add to it. That because you’re a Baptist and I’m a Catholic, I can’t associate with you? That’s ridiculous. How you going to influence anyone if you don’t associate? And how are you going to learn if you think you already got it? How you going to have your your beliefs tested if you don’t do some mingling and reading of other sources and books?
▶ 26:55 “No miracles are tongues for today.” They’re just totally wrong. That’s not Bible fundamentalism, that’s not Bible basics. They’ve added that to it and they call it fundamentalism. “Politics are of the devil.” They’ve added that to it. That’s wrong. I can show you in the Bible it’s wrong. “Once saved always saved.” It’s just wrong. They’ve taken repentance, turning from sin, right out. “Just your faith will do it.” No. And “water baptism is symbolic, an outward sign of an inward work.” That is the most ridiculous lie I’ve ever heard. Nowhere in the Bible does it say water baptism is symbolic. It is a work God does in your life. Hallelujah. But the basic fundamentalist and the basic conservative, I’m telling you, they’re the groups we got to try to help unite with and try to turn this thing back around. And you can believe what these people are lying about, the fundamentalists and the conservatives, but I’m telling you from my research and my experience with them over decades, they are the closest to the Bible. Hallelujah.
Who should we follow instead of unqualified leaders? (Judges 8:23, 1 Samuel 8:7, Luke 6:46, 1 Corinthians 11)
Short answer: He says we should not give up leadership directly by Jesus Christ for any delegated leader, citing Gideon saying “the Lord shall rule over you” and God telling Samuel “they’ve rejected me.” He says calling Jesus “Lord” means doing what He says, and that a husband has authority over his wife only while under Jesus; a wife who is asked to violate the Lord’s word is “supposed to do what’s right.”
▶ 28:23 Now, who should they have been following? What kind of leaders should they have been follow following? Okay, instead of these unqualified leaders, this reverse order, Judges 8:23: “Gideon said unto the people, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you. The Lord shall rule over you.” Folks, we cannot give up leadership directly by Jesus Christ for any delegated leader. It’s imperative that both we and that delegated leader are ruled by Jesus. Is that clear? Amen. And anyone that commits themselves to being ruled by Jesus will not fall into these errors. Making Jesus Lord of your life is very important. 1st Samuel 8:7, God told Samuel, “They have not rejected you, Samuel, but they’ve rejected me, the Lord, that I should not rule over them.” Is it possible today that we can reject the lordship of Jesus Christ? I mean, we can call him Lord. Oh yeah, he’s my Lord and Savior. What did Jesus say to those that said he’s my Lord and Savior? “Why do you call me Lord and do not the things I say?” he See, when you do what he says, that makes him your Lord. When you just say, “Jesus is my Lord and Savior,” and you’re not doing what he says, he’s not your Lord.
▶ 30:04 So we need to keep Jesus top priority in our life. Could that be an amen now? Remember, in 1 Corinthians 11, God gave man direct authority over the wife, not women, the wife, and he gave that man the responsibility to be under de direct authority to Jesus Christ. And when that man is not under direct authority to Jesus Christ, he can say, “I’m the man of the house,” all I want to. If he was a real man, he would have made Jesus Lord of his life. This is good stuff. And these women that use the scripture, “You’re submitting to your husband,” and I have to deal with this every year, the husband gets them to do things that violates the Bible. “Well, but I got to submit.” No, you don’t. Your Lord Jesus is your number one leader, and when that man is asking you to violate the lordship of Jesus, that means he’s not under the lordship, and you’re supposed to do what’s right. Can I hear an amen? And this is just just destroy destroying Christian homes, this this nonsense, this lack of knowledge is just destroying lives everywhere.

But Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the LORD shall rule over you.”

And the LORD said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

— Luke 6:46 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 29:42 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV)
But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
— 1 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:15What does Luke 19:14 say about wanting Jesus as Savior but not Lord? (Luke 19:14, John 12:26, 1 Corinthians 11:1, Isaiah 3:10)
Short answer: He says many Christians “want Jesus the Savior, but they don’t want Jesus the Lord,” and says “repentance is way above faith.” He says our behavior, not just our belief, is what blesses our home, and cites John 12:26 to follow Jesus, 1 Corinthians 11:1 to imitate Paul as he imitates Christ, and Isaiah 3:10, “it shall be well with” the righteous.
▶ 31:37 Luke 19:14, the parable about the nobleman: the Lord his citizens hated him and they sent a message to him saying, “We don’t want you ruling, reigning over us.” And that’s a lot of Christians. They want Jesus the Savior, but they don’t want Jesus the Lord. They don’t want Jesus dictating how they should talk and how they should walk in this life. They just want to hear salvation by grace and faith, no matter what I do, no matter what my shortcomings is, I’m going to go to heaven. It is a lie. Repentance is way above faith. Hallelujah. See, my behavior is what’s going to bless my home, not my faith. It’s my actions. See, how I talk, how I walk, that’s what’s going to make the difference in my home. It’s not what I believe, because if what I believe is not acted out, it’s worthless, and that’s what James tells us, the go the epistle of James tells us plainly.
▶ 32:57 John chapter 12:26, Jesus said unto those that are following him, “If any man serve me, let him follow me.” So who we to serve? Who do we who we to follow? Who is our real leader? Jesus Christ. And so when Jesus is your real leader, you can’t blame anything around you. Now, we want to blame this person, that person, all the rest, but when Jesus is my real Lord, I can’t blame, because I got to follow him. 1 Corinthians 11:1, Paul said, “Be imitators of me as I am an imitator, a follower of Christ.” Now, this is the situation in that day. So are we in that day? Yeah. These, Isaiah saw this thousands of years before it happened. Simple facts that are good for any day. Isaiah 3:10: “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with him.” Folks, let me tell you, I don’t care if you speak in tongues, I don’t care if you can do miracles, I don’t care if you go soul winning five nights a week or you don’t, I don’t care if you can raise your hands or not raise your hands. The thing that makes the difference is you will speak and live right. That will bring the blessings of God on your life.
Scripture in this part
Luke 19:14 (NKJV)
But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We will not have this man to reign over us.’

— John 12:26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:571 Corinthians 11:1 (NKJV)
Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
— 1 Corinthians 11:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 33:31Isaiah 3:10 (NKJV)
“Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
— Isaiah 3:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 34:05Why does he say speaking and living right blesses us in any day, and what is Isaiah 4:1 about? (Isaiah 3:11, Isaiah 4:1)
Short answer: He says that “any day these simple principles work,” and that speaking and doing right brings God’s blessing even in a falling away, whether the person is poor, rich, of any race, male or female, young or old. He says Isaiah 4:1, seven women taking hold of one man, pictures Christians who want the name of Jesus without the obligation of relationship, and he says the conservatives are pushing for one man, one woman in marriage.
▶ 34:38 When I got saved, I was very bashful and timid. To raise my hands was a killer. I mean, when I just did this, I thought I was reaching the ceiling, literally. I thought everybody in the church was watching me. You know, that’s how egotistical we are. Everybody’s looking at you? They should, they’re looking at Jesus. Jesus They’re not concerned about you. So when I got them this high, I really thought I was spiritual, man. H It was a killer for me to humble myself in front of people. But I had the message of the gospel to repent and do what’s right, and that’s what will bring the the blessings of God on your life, both spiritual and natural. Are you hearing me? “Woe unto the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given him.” So any day these simple principles work. If we are in the midst of a falling away or whatever’s going on in the earth, remember this: if you will speak and do what’s right, God will bless you in spite of what he’s doing around you to adjust things. He will bless you. That’s Bible. Amen.
▶ 36:22 You know, I got minister friends that speak in tongues and they pray for the sick and they get healed and all the rest, but they’re running around with women and they’re taking the money from the church. There’s something wrong somewhere. It’s righteousness that’s the key, and it works, folks. It’ll work for the poor, it’ll work for the city guy, the country guy, it’ll work for the Chinese, the Japanese, the Mex, it will work for a woman, a male. It works, young, old, it works. And aren’t you glad that this scripture is there, that no matter what goes on around you, you got hope, you got an expectancy, you’re going to come through this and God’s going to keep his word to you, and he will. And I can give you multitudes of people who did no miracles, didn’t speak in tongues, uh never saved a soul or whatever, but they were good people. They had the righteousness down.
▶ 37:28 Now don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t excuse us from praying and seeking God and being used of God to bring revival to the land. You understand? All of us can’t be dumbbells spiritually. Somebody’s got to rise up and let God use them, and that comes through prayer and fasting and worship. That comes through responding to the principles, the spiritual principles that bring the power of God. But still, righteousness will bring a blessing on your life. Isaiah 4:1: “In that day seven women will take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel.” Okay, seven women, one man. That’s not normal in the Bible. One man, one woman is okay, but seven women are going to take hold of one man. Now we know we’re the bride of Christ, right? He’s our husband. husband So a lot of Christians are going to say, you know, “We want this man Jesus, but we don’t want any obligation. We’ll eat our own food, we’ll wear our own apparel, we’ll take care of ourselves, we don’t need to be in his household. We don’t want a relationship.”
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 3:11 (NKJV)
Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him.
— Isaiah 3:11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 35:36 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Isaiah 4:1 (NKJV)
And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, “We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel; Only let us be called by your name, To take away our reproach.”
— Isaiah 4:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 38:00What does he say about people who want Christ’s name without a relationship? (Galatians 6:7-9, Psalm 106:15, Isaiah 4:3-4)
Short answer: He says people who “only want the name of Christ” get only faith and not the action of faith, and the “prosperity” they want is all they get. He cites Galatians 6:7-9, “God is not mocked,” the saying that God gave them their desire but sent leanness to their soul, and says there is one way to God, not a thousand, and that God restores, forgives and cleanses, so that all left in Zion are called holy.
▶ 38:52 And see, in the Bible when a man and woman married, that man took a vow to provide food for the that woman, clothing, shelter, medical and protection. That’s the Bible. The Bible: man and woman married, one. That’s Bible, folks. And the conservatives, they are pushing for one man, one woman in marriage, and that’s Bible. So people can laugh at them all they want to, but that group is the closest thing to us in the political arena that we’ve got in America. See, they don’t want a relationship. They just want to be called by his name, to take away the reproach, the shame. “Are you a Christian?” “Yes.” Yeah. Now, food is the word of God, clothing is the righteousness of God, right? See, they don’t want anything about the right, they don’t want the word of God, they just want to say they’re Christian. “Do you believe in Jesus?” “Yeah.” Doesn’t everybody? No relationship, no commitment. They don’t want Jesus ruling in their life, as he has already told us. Are you with me? See, this is very important. Good thing Isaiah’s given us some good stuff here.
▶ 40:32 Don’t you think they just want acceptance? You know, we just want acceptance. “You’re okay, I’m okay, everybody’s okay.” Wasn’t that the philosophy back in the hippie days? You’re okay, I’m okay, everybody’s okay. Now, Baptist, Catholic, Presbyterian, all of us are okay. Simple facts: you cannot take Jesus without making him Lord, without making him your husband, without obeying him and having a relationship with him. That’s the new covenant: all will know him from the least. That’s the new covenant. You can’t take that out. out You got to have a relationship with Jesus. Can I hear an amen, church? Galatians 6:7-9: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked.” In the New Testament he says the same thing: “What a man sows, he will reap. If he sows to his flesh, he will reap corruption. If he sows to the spirit, he will reap everlasting life.” Okay, for Christians that that only want the name of Christ, that’s all they get. They only want faith for eternal life, faith is all they get. They don’t get the action of faith, they just get faith. You see, prosperity, they want prosperity, that’s all they get. Are you out there?
▶ 42:21 Didn’t Jesus said in Psalms, “I gave them the desire their of their heart, but sent leanness to their soul”? You see that kind of thinking? Yeah, you might get away with it, but you’re lean. You’re you’re you’re puny Christian, you’re a weak Christian. They don’t want to assemble together, they don’t want to grow, they don’t want a relationship, they don’t want wisdom, truth or power, joy or peace, they just want to be accepted. We come with our plans, and “God, here I am, now accept me, this is the way I want it done.” Is there one way to Christ and to God and heaven, or is there a thousand ways? One way. You don’t care about your opinions, he’s got one way, we all got to follow that way.
▶ 43:20 The bright side of that day. He always comes in with the bright side. He always comes in with this, I love it. He’s always out to restore, to forgive, to cleanse, always, everywhere I read here, he comes. God doesn’t leave them in this condition. Okay, all left in Zion, in Jerusalem, will be called what? Holy. Everyone recorded among the living. Is our name recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Yeah. Okay, God is going to come. He said everyone left will be holy, and then he says, “When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and Purge the blood of Jerusalem from her midst by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning.” See, this is the big key, is letting God and his word come to you and burn these things out of you. This little church ritual thing we go through, “Oh, just repeat this and everything will be fine.” No, we’ve got to connect with the Holy Ghost, we’ve got to connect with the word. How many you know he said my word is spirit, right? So when I’m connecting with the word, or I’m connecting with the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit and the word always what? Agree. The Bible said they always are in agreement. You can’t separate the word from the Holy Ghost, you can’t separate the word from Jesus. He is the living Word.
Scripture in this part
Galatians 6:7-9 (NKJV)
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
— Galatians 6:7-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 41:37Psalm 106:15 (NKJV)
And He gave them their request, But sent leanness into their soul.
— Psalm 106:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 42:29 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Isaiah 4:3 (NKJV)
And it shall come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded among the living in Jerusalem.
— Isaiah 4:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 43:42Isaiah 4:4 (NKJV)
When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning,
— Isaiah 4:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 44:04 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How do the word and the Holy Spirit burn sin out of us? (Jeremiah 31:33, Luke 24:32, Jeremiah 23:28)
Short answer: He says the “spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning” (Isaiah 4:4) is God’s word and Spirit coming to us and burning things out of us, as he experienced, changing his thinking and desires “little by little.” He says he does not need psychology but a meeting with God, and that Scripture is a fire and a hammer, so we should read the Bible, since friends “they’ll agree you’re okay.”
▶ 44:59 And so he will come and he will burn it out of you. And that’s what I experienced back there and at a [unclear] church, coming up every Sunday, letting God deal with something in my life. I didn’t know this word, but it was working. He would come to me and he would change my thinking, he would change my desires, little by little, step by step. He kept changing me by the word and the spirit coming to me. That’s the magical cure, the word and the Holy Spirit. Are you out there, church? That’s why prayer is important. That’s why alter calls are important. That’s why a real worship service in spirit and truth is important. It’s that time when God can burn. He’s either burning something out or he’s [unclear] burning something in. And that what he says in the new covenant: “I will inscribe my word in your minds and heart.” He’s either burning something in, the Ten Commandments was written by the finger of God, burnt right into the stone, or he’s burning something out. Wow. And so, see, I don’t need psychology, I don’t need human intellect, I need a meeting with God where he transforms my life supernaturally by the burning of his spirit and the burning of his word. And I experienced all that. I didn’t know all this stuff when I was experiencing. You don’t have to know it to experience it, but knowing it really expedites it, speeds up the experience, doesn’t it? I mean, I could have grew a lot faster if I had known what you people know.
▶ 47:05 Luke 24:32: did not “Did not our heart burn within us while Jesus talked with us by the way, and while he open to us the scriptures?” Do the scriptures do that to you? Do they burn in you? Do they get opened? Or you just reading through your Bible, you’re not even reading it? Why do I push people to read their Bible? Because the Bible will burn things in you and burn things out of you. At my lowest time in my Christian walk, I never failed to read the Bible, and the scripture would bring me back to the middle of the road every time. You can’t trust your friends. They’ll agree you’re okay. I don’t need somebody telling me I’m okay when I’m not not okay. I need the Bible, who is impartial, just bucking me, telling me to buck up. How about you? Jeremiah 23:28: “The prophet who has my word, let him speak my word faithfully.” You know, if you ain’t got nothing to say, shut up. We got enough nonsense going around out there without yours. Everybody out there thinks they’re a preacher, and they’re babies and they’re children in God. “What is the chaff to the wheat?”
Scripture in this part
Jeremiah 31:33 (NKJV)
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
— Jeremiah 31:33 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 46:03 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Luke 24:32 (NKJV)
And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”
— Luke 24:32 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 47:05Jeremiah 23:28 (NKJV)
“The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?” says the LORD.
— Jeremiah 23:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 48:09What is God’s glory over His church, and how should we respond? (Jeremiah 23:29, Isaiah 4:5-6, Matthew 16:18, Romans 8:26)
Short answer: He says Isaiah 4:5-6 promises “a cloud by day and a fire by night,” the glory of God as “the demonstration of his power” in the church, with gifts such as wisdom, knowledge, prophecy, tongues, healing and miracles, and a tabernacle for shade and shelter. He says we should get away from “the mighty man of God mentality,” pray “here I am, use me,” and let Christ burn in us and out of us, as he did in his own life.
▶ 48:38 Now we know that in most cases the chaff is the wicked people that is burned in that last day in the lake of fire. Okay, but also in the Bible the chaff is that worthless part of the wheat, that sinful, that old sinful nature of man, that old man, that chaff. And he says, “What is the chaff to the wheat? Is not my word like a fire that will burn that chaff out of you? Is not my word like a hammer?” If you’re hard and stubborn, that word will come along and keep chipping away until there is something beautiful formed in your life. Amen. How many could use a little hammering? Yeah, some of us are hard-headed. It takes the hammer. And uh, I needed both the fire and the hammer. I was hard-headed, and I needed things burned out of my life. Isn’t that beautiful? And see, Isaiah said all this thousands of years before our day, and this is what I like: tremendous promise. And I’m trying to get this church to rise up to this truth.
▶ 50:05 Okay, after I get these things dealt with in my life, then the Lord, who’s going to do it? The Lord. Not Olstein, not Rick Warren, not Joy Meyers. The Lord is going to do this. All right, not Dave Kincer, by the way. “The Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion.” Okay, Mount Zion is the church. The dwelling places are the assemblies, the local churches like us. Every dwelling place in Zion, above her assemblies, “a cloud by day and a fire by night.” See, I told told you, and and he goes on to say, “for over all the glory there will be a covering.” I told you that the glory of God in the Bible was the demonstration of his power, where it was a cloud or a fire, parting the Red Sea, healing the sick, saving a soul. It was the glory. It was the demonstration of the power of his presence. And this is what Isaiah is saying, church. If you’ll let me burn in you you and burn things out of you, I will demonstrate myself in your midst. You will have a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, a prophecy, a tongue, an interpretation, healing, miracles, discerning of spirits and faith. They will be active in your church, because that is the demonstration of my glory.
▶ 51:54 Do the church need that? Yeah. Do Christians need the demonstration? Yes. Somebody’s got to push into this, folks. Now, we can talk about the things of God till we’re dead, but we need to enter into the things of God. God said he would do it. Like in prayer at the end, “Let there be a performance, Lord. You said Now put up.” Amen. See, do we really care about our nation, to seek God for his glory? Because his glory is going to turn this nation around, I guarantee you. You got to be really hard to reject Christ in that day, and a lot of the people on the fence, a lot of the lukewarm, are going to come over to the right side. Hallelujah. Then he goes on to say, “There will be a tabernacle for shade Allelujah in the daytime from the heat,” and there’s going to be a tabernacle for a refuge, a place of protection, a stronghold, and there’s going to be a tabernacle for a shelter from storms and the rain. The wise man built his house upon the rocks. When the storms came, the problems of life, the troubles of life came, he stood. Now folks, I don’t know about you, but it’s worth letting Christ burn out of me and burn in me to get these kind of results.
▶ 53:45 And we got to get away from the mighty man of God mentality. God is building a church that the gates of hell should not prevail against. God is building a glorious church, church without spot or wrinkle, at think not some mighty man of God. And so when the church will press in, God will demonstrate, because when the church presses in, the streams the part they have flow out and makes a big river, and things get done. Are you with me? No, all of us won’t prophesy. The Bible says that all of us won’t speak in tongues, all of us won’t interpret, but there’ll be enough of us till we get the job done. Boy, I like that. There’s not enough of us now saying, “Here I am, Lord, use me.” That was what the Holy Ghost revealed to me this morning in prayer. They need to be praying, “Here I am, use me,” not telling me what I already know. They need to say, “Lord, use me. Here I am. There’s homes out there. Here I am, commission me, send me, equip me.” Are you there? You got to bring prayer down to your personal reaction. Anybody can pray about something, and anybody can wait for the pastor to do everything. That’s what we’ve been doing for decades in America, and it hasn’t worked, has it?
▶ 55:28 But the real Christian will sayl, “Here I am, use me, use my prayers, use my worship, use my prayer, use my fasting through the week. Use me, Lord, if nothing else to ignite the one that can prophesy.” Amen. One of the young people came up to me this morning and said, “Were you speaking in tongues in prayer?” And I said, “Yes, I was.” I said it’s rare these days. I’ve only spoken in tongues about three times in the last year, and it used to be very steadily. And I was explaining to them how you can speak in tongues and you can interpret it and you can know what the Holy Spirit’s saying. See, the Bible says we don’t know how to pray as we ought, but the spirit does. See, and the Bible says pray in the spirit and sing in the spirit, isn’t that right? So we got to make that transition to the spirit. Hallelujah. I thought I was speaking low enough to were no one heard me, but they were nailing me, and they said they really help them. I said good, because in it’s real, it really ministers. When it’s not real, it’s just in the way. When we’re pantomiming, pretending to speak in tongues, it there’s nothing there. Amen.
▶ 56:54 Church, so are we going to be this glorious church, this church at the gates of hell cannot prevail against? Let Christ burn in us and burn out of us. How many, you raise your hands and “Lord, bring me the burning”? Yes. See that, and that makes it, that makes it for me as a young Christian, when the Holy Spirit revealed these things to me, it really got me relaxed. God’s going to work in me. I I I can’t just grip my teeth and make this happen. God’s going to do this, and that just brought a peace on my life, and he did, he slowly got me there. I had to learn to like myself when I wasn’t [unclear]. I wanted to run, because, you know, the Lord shows light on you and you see yourself and, oh God, what there’s no hope, I’m still doing that same stupid thing I was doing two weeks ago when I asked God to deliver me from it. But see, when you know that you have done what God said to do, repent, admit it, and let God work, then you’re at peace, because you know he’s going to keep his word and get the job done. Hallelujah. Then I could live with myself, I could accept myself, and God used me while he was working on me. I led a lot of people to Christ while he was leading me to Christ. Amen, church.

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor note: he says “Jesus said in Psalms” for the words about God giving them their desire but sending leanness to their soul, which are in Psalm 106:15. Several caption slips are corrected where the word is clear (for example “ss” to “sows”), and four spots are marked [unclear] (“a se thing,” a church name, “inra waving,” and a word in “when I wasn’t…”). He names public figures and organizations (a senator, a news network, and three well-known preachers) in his remarks; those names stay in the transcript only. His statements about women leaders, race, political parties, statistics, and other Christian groups are his own opinions and are not verified here. Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
