Leaders of the Family: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Pastor David G. Kincer teaches family leadership: husbands and wives building wisely, ruling the house with honesty, providing for their own (1 Timothy 5:8), and raising children in the nurture of the Lord with real consequences. From Cain and Seth, Noah, and Eli’s failure to restrain his sons, he shows that love disciplines and that the family is the key to church and nation.
What does 1 Timothy 3 require of family leaders?
Short answer: 1 Timothy 3:1–12: deacons and bishops must be the husband of one wife and rule their house well, with children under control—by honesty. Children see when parents say one thing and do another. God recognizes every marriage once the commitment is made.
▶ 0:00 We’re going to be talking about the family leaders today first Timothy 3:1 through 12 when he talks about deacons in and bishops he says they got to be the husband of one wife okay now he’s given the order of the family and they are to rule their house well they got to run their house well with their children under control by the parents honesty I mean you know honesty makes a family tremendous. Yes and kids will respond to honesty when you ask the kid to do one thing and you do another that kid is not done they know there’s something lopsided here and so honesty is a tremendous thing in the home so God recognizes every husband and every wife I don’t care if you’re married before the judge justice of the peace or in a church or you jump the broom or whatever once you make that commitment God recognizes that marriage okay and he is going to work with that husband and wife in the family now remember.
Scripture in this part
1 Timothy 3:2-5 (NKJV)
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?);
— 1 Timothy 3:2-5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:03 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Who must build wisely?
Short answer: Paul laid the foundation as a wise builder and every builder must take heed. Civil leaders must build wisely on the republic the founders gave—it works only with a moral, responsible people—and parents must build their families wisely. He looks for God to restore apostles and prophets and a glorious church.
▶ 1:21 Jesus said I’m going to send to you apostles prophets teachers and wise men and we saw it fulfilled in the New Testament church alright Paul said the apostles were wise builders they laid the foundation at another builds on and hopefully it’s a wise builder and everyone who builds on the foundation of Jesus Christ needs to watch how they’re building could that be any men so do civil leaders need to be careful how they’re building on the foundation of God’s government and in the home the parents need to be wise builders taken heed how they build their family and raise their children the American.
▶ 2:15 Founding fathers gave us a republic and they came out of that meeting and told the people if you can keep it you got a republic I’m even though today we’re moving toward democracy instead of a republic yes they gave us a liberty freedom they gave us free enterprise free speech freedom of religion by way of individual moral responsibility that’s what many of the leaders said this. Constitution will only work with a moral society people taken responsibility for their actions and their behavior so today the democrat and republican parties must build on that foundation that our founding fathers gave us wisely could that be an amen yes not foolishly and God.
▶ 3:13 Set the husband and wife in the family and they must wisely build on that Bible’s family’s foundation could that be true we need some wisdom in the home we need some wisdom and civil government we need wisdom and the churches I have seen the restoration of teachers I’ve seen the restoration of pastors and evangelists I have not seen the restoration of the ministry of the apostle and the prophet to the degree that it was and the wise men in the book of acts so I’m looking forward to a visitation of God alright I’m not looking to be carried out of here I’m looking for visitation of God we’re gone is going to make his church a church that the gates of hell cannot prevail again a glorious church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing a church whose bride has made herself ready because Jesus is going to restore the apostle restore the prophet restore his truths and move in this last day generation hallelujah now.

1 Corinthians 3:10 (NKJV)
According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.
— 1 Corinthians 3:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:34 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Ephesians 5:27 (NKJV)
that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
— Ephesians 5:27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:08 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the order of the home?
Short answer: 1 Corinthians 11:3: the head of the husband is Christ, the head of the wife is her husband, the head of Christ is God—no man is head of every woman. 1 Timothy 5:14: younger women marry, bear children and guide the house; the husband oversees and answers to God. Two jobs don’t change the order.
▶ 4:32 We showed you God’s chain of command God is at the top Jesus Christ God in the flesh is under the father they are over the family and they are over the civil government the jobs the economy and they’re over the church and there over the principalities and powers of darkness in the family he says in first Corinthians 11 the head of every man is Christ now that word man is the same word for husband and the greek it’s the same word so the context is husband because he says the head of a woman is the man now no man is the head of every woman. You know you got a dad that’s got five fine daughters and you try to boss them around that dad’s going to step on your head.
▶ 5:28 They don’t have to be under submission to any man they’re under submission to daddy and when they get married they’re under the authority of their husband and so. The wife is led by the husband and the head of Christ is God the head of Christ is who God. God Jesus. All right. First Timothy 5:14 let the younger women marry bear children and guide the house manage the house and so. God and the Bible gives the woman the management the responsibility that home and the man is to oversee it make sure she’s doing her job right not abusing the kids not making lousy meals and dirty clothes and sloppy house and all that it’s his job to make sure she’s doing her job because he’s got a big job the men here have the lopsided job here and when they get that when we get to heaven we’re responsible for everything we’re going to be under interrogation for everything because God gave us the responsibility to get the job done alright.
▶ 6:54 So the husband confirms the wife is managing the house properly. The. Younger women are to marry and manage the house and be happy about it. You know some work that’s fine some work because they want to work some work because they have to work takes two jobs two incomes to survive but it doesn’t matter doesn’t change the order does it no it does not olivia you just got two jobs now managing the house and work it. So that is God’s order. Now we showed you that God has responsibilities for leaders we went through the civil ones last week today the family it is their biblical responsibility of the family to provide for themselves medical food shelter.

1 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV)
But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
— 1 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:59 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 Timothy 5:14 (NKJV)
Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
— 1 Timothy 5:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:28Whose job is discipline and character?
Short answer: The family provides medical care, food, shelter, education, clothing and leisure—and builds discipline and character in children, by example. Not the government’s, the schools’ or sports programs’ job. The family is a nation’s most important natural resource. God will ask men what kind of husband and father they were.
▶ 8:00 Education clothing and leisure. We love that leisure yeah let’s focus on leisure. But it is the family’s responsibility to provide for that. Also discipline and character. Parents are supposed to be running their home with self-control and discipline and character and building. Discipline and character and their children it’s not the government’s job it’s not the public schools job it’s not the jobs the economic area job it’s the family’s job and remember as the family goes so goes the church and so goes the nation the family is the important thing of a nation the family is the best resource for any nations it’s better than gold better than silver better than oil the family is the nation’s best and most important natural resource could that be an amen and so the government and everyone should be focusing on building wholesome solid family.
▶ 9:31 Discipline and character is the responsibility of the mother and father in at home. Too many parents in America are shoving their kids off the public schools or some kind of sport program or some kind of thing and hoping that they will work good things in their kids and now it’s your job and you start by example don’t you if you want your kids talk properly you talk properly if you want your kids to control their temper you control your temper is that right. So you teach them by example if you don’t want your kids to be fearful you don’t get fearful. Alleluia. So that’s a big job and the.
Scripture in this part
Luke 12:48 (NKJV)
But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
— Luke 12:48 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:22 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does 1 Timothy 5:8 say about providing?
Short answer: If any provide not for his own, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel—which he says doesn’t fit “once saved always saved.” James: faith without works can’t save. The faith we need is believing Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and having life in his name.
▶ 10:23 Man has been given the husband the top responsibility and when we face God he’s going to be asking what kind of husband and father we were he’s not going to ask how many souls you saved. How many prophecies you prophesied how many sick people you cured he’s going to be asking it what did you do with the responsibility I gave you. And. Hmm. Now. First Timothy 5:8 if any provide not for his own self and his own family. Provide what these things.
▶ 11:19 It’s not the government’s job. He has denied the faith now people say once saved always saved we got a problem right here. They got a real problem doesn’t fit he has what denied disowned. Rejected the faith. People that put all their baggage in faith all their beliefs in the word faith I call it the faith camp movement faith everything. James says if a man has faith without works can that faith save him this scripture says if you don’t take care of your own family you’ve denied the faith and you’re worse than an infidel or unbeliever you’re worse than an unbeliever you may have faith but it’s not doing any good now what faith is he talking about folks on the week night Bible study should be able to answer that why was the Bible written.
▶ 12:43 That you might believe. Have faith that Jesus Christ Jesus is the Christ. The anointed one the messiah that was promised to come and that you might believe that he is the son of God no earthly father. Supernaturally born no earthly father he is the son of God and in believing you might have life and believing that he is the Christ he is the son of God you might have life both eternal life which is to know God and Jesus as well as live with him forever and abundant life here on earth see the life that now is and the life that is to come amen see that’s the faith we’re supposed to have it’s got nothing to do with have faith to move a mountain.
Scripture in this part
1 Timothy 5:8 (NKJV)
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
— 1 Timothy 5:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:23James 2:14 (NKJV)
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
— James 2:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:04 (quoted; reference not named in the message)John 20:31 (NKJV)
but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
— John 20:31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:43 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Is “no work, no eat” compassionate?
Short answer: 2 Thessalonians 3:10: if any would not work, neither should he eat. He says welfare recipients should be put to work rather than hiring illegal aliens, and that teaching responsibility is truly Christian and compassionate.
▶ 13:45 It’s got to do with having faith and what the Bible told us to put our faith in amen. Alleluia and so we find that we can be worse than an unbeliever when we do not take responsibility for our family. Now that’s a serious scripture. [unclear]. Second Thessalonians 3:10 if you don’t work you don’t eat. So if our government is given out all these food stamps on all this welfare what should they be doing making them work in the strawberry fields and in the cattle ranches and putting them to work where they they hire illegal aliens to come in and do this work and these Americans are sitting there getting free goodies.
Scripture in this part
2 Thessalonians 3:10 (NKJV)
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.
— 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:45How should fathers discipline?
Short answer: Ephesians 6:4 and Colossians 3:21: fathers, provoke not your children to anger lest they be discouraged; raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Discipline needs a consequence. His mother, with a fourth-grade education, sat him in a chair and taught the children to work. Hypocrisy—parents doing what kids may not—provokes anger.
▶ 14:44 To fulfill the Bible scripture if we’re going to give them money then we should put them out in that strawberry patch mowing lawns or whatever could that be true yeah you don’t work you don’t eat you said that don’t sound very Christian and compassion like. It’s very Christian. It’s very compassionate. For you to be taught to be a responsible individual amen. Now. If he’s in 64 in Colossians 3:21. And her father’s talking directly to father’s there is no question here he’s talking to who fathers and every father should be a husband married to a woman.
▶ 15:43 Not another man or a woman with woman all right God is very clear what the family is based on the foundation of a man and a woman married taken a vow to stick with each other the all through life amen. Fathers. Husbands stir not your children to anger lest they be discouraged. Raise them in the nurture the discipline and advice the warning with consequences of the Lord. You see discipline without a consequence isn’t discipline if there’s no payment to pay spanking and a spanking to me wasn’t to hurt the child is to remind them they broke the rule that they agreed with dad that they’d keep but when you got a kid like me a spanking.
▶ 16:46 Would not prevent me from doing anything a spanking lasted maybe two three five minutes and it’s over man and I. So my mom. Only finished fourth grade but she figured me out quit she realized that spanking ain’t going to change this kid so she sat me in a chair man I was a killer she said in a chair by the window so I could see out kids were playing it oh man I was ah I tried to get her compassion I’d make my nose bleed and I tried to get her to be merciful and she didn’t fall for anything you’re gonna learn to obey boy and I did sitting in the chair was a killer for this kid.
▶ 17:38 Alleluia fourth grade not Harvard graduate not a Yale graduate but how me know that’s wise what she did yes and she also taught us to work we had to clean house wash dishes mow lawns I mean we worked she instilled work in us they did not do everything for us they instilled work in us and so when we came grown-ups we knew work was part of life we just went right into work he and my mom is a good example because if a fourth grade lady can figure this stuff out which was a Christian woman by the way she got saved me and my dad when I was young and folks we can figure this out all right so don’t stir up your children to anger now. You know if you lose your temper and shoot your mouth off yeah and you have verbal arguments in the home with your kids hearing you and then.
▶ 18:38 When they have an outburst they get beat they get spanked they have to sit in the chair if they argue but mom and dad can argue and it’s fine. That can make a kid angry that could make him lose his spirit get discouraged loses spirit your kid needs to have a spirit that that drill that inner driven spirit to be ambitious and strive and accomplish things amen not give up be depressed. Alleluia see when dad can smoke in the kid can’t. When dad can drink alcohol and the kid can’t there’s something wrong. Why is it okay for dad and mom is not okay for me you see why can they use profanity and I can.
▶ 19:35 Are you out there and they can lose their temper and slam the door and break dishes and call each other names and boy if I call my brother or sister a name pal right in the kisser no not in the kisser but on the bottom yeah you see kids aren’t dumb. Alleluia and so we’re supposed to be wholesome father and it’s to the fathers are you out their fathers you see when I started recognizing God’s chain of command and a responsibility I’ve told you before I took out this is unfair is a is it lopsided. You know to whom much is given much is required and all the red my goodness and then I saw my first kid born and then.

Ephesians 6:4 (NKJV)
And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
— Ephesians 6:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:44Colossians 3:21 (NKJV)
Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
— Colossians 3:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:24Does God equip parents?
Short answer: Government should strengthen the family, trade should pay enough to support it, and the church should teach character and truth. God told him he never gives a responsibility without the ability to do it. Great families make a great church and a great nation.
▶ 20:32 I said okay I’ll take the responsibility you keep letting the women have the babies then wow. That is something are you there I love it so. Government should make laws that support and strengthen the family. The trade should produce goods and jobs that pay enough to support the family the church should be teaching character and truth to instill and moms and dads and remind them that God is with them in that home helping them to be good parents he never gave you a responsibility he did not equip you to do see that’s what God told me he said quit feeling sorry for yourself I would never give you a responsibility without giving you the ability to do it dummy.
Scripture in this part
Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
— Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:32 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does early Genesis show about families?
Short answer: Cain didn’t rule his anger and killed Abel; God judged the first crime. Seth was like Abel. With no government, families protected themselves. Bullies arose and the earth filled with violence; minions followed. Noah and his wife raised three disciplined sons and were saved—get character; don’t follow the crowd.
▶ 21:35 As I talks to me and I again it gets through my thick head and so the church is got to reinforce the family the family is the key if you’ve got great families you got a great church if you got great families you got a great nation now I’m going to use my hillbilly imagination right now. Okay take you on a journey from the beginning of creation here we have Adam and Eve they’re in love and they’re married and they get married and they’re going to replenish the earth their first son Cain is a sleazy individual. He doesn’t control his temper he doesn’t control his tongue he is an angry man and he.
▶ 22:30 Grew up and then able also they had right behind him they grew up together. Abel he controlled his temper he controlled his tongue he worshiped God served God pleased God mr. Sleazebag didn’t like that and he complained to God you know because God accepted Abel wouldn’t accept Cain because of his behavior and God told him you know if you yourself in control and rule over sin I’ll accept you but you’re not controlling your anger and not controlling your behavior then Cain got more mad he got so mad he killed Abel got rid of him bumped him off God comes down from heaven and judges the first crime first crime committed.
▶ 23:26 Okay my hillbilly imagination. He’s on the move and he lets Cain live and he banishes him from his presence and Cain married his sister now you notice I got a woman scrubbing the floor up there why because this guy can throw a temper tantrum any time and she might be the next victim. So she’s just doing whatever she walking on eggshells you ever seen those kind of women is do whatever that guy says because man if they don’t obey ever jot and tittle powell and then they blame the woman for their lack of controlling their temper yeah so this one was walking the line man she’s scrubbing the floor she man she is walking the line all right but they have babies.
▶ 24:25 All right these babies grow up and they have babies time goes by sleazebag dies and his future relatives or sleaze bags. But God gave Adam and Eve a substitute for Abel. Called Seth Seth was like able he loved God he had good behavior good character all right he married his sister okay if he can catch her they’ll have babies. All right those babies will grow up and have babies and those babies that grow up and have babies okay now. Here comes a cattle rustler they don’t want to work they don’t want to be responsible so they still.
▶ 25:28 Assess cattle his her now who is responsible to take care of that. Seth. There’s no government to run to there’s no police department to go to. Seth has to protect his family so now they got to put guards out to watch for these cattle rustlers they got to try and trace them down and get the cattle back and Adam and Eve would be there supporting are you there the family was responsible. Amen they had no one to turn to but more people are born and some of these people they got irate at having to be disciplined and be responsible I want to do it my way I want to do it what’s right in my own I I don’t want to hear this junk and they throw tantrums you ever seen an adult throw tantrum in a home boy I have.
▶ 26:42 Women are real subtle they just cry tantrums yeah. Make you feel guilty man the face gets red error I. Don’t want to talk about it I want to talk about. But they want to do what’s right in their own eyes okay get so bad that the good guys have got to fend off the bad guys. That’s what the Bible says the earth became full of what violence. Okay now we got the bullies. Do you know one of the spouses can bully another spouse in the home.
▶ 27:39 Women are real coy about it man they just try to go submit woman 2 by the system it woman I’m the I’m the breadwinner I’m her but the women they use this woman’s psychology to manipulate. But a bully’s a bully a bully wants his own way and he’ll do whatever it takes to get it forces will on the other people instead of doing what’s best for the home they want to do what’s the best for them are you with me a little boy it’s quiet out there. Public schools are full of bullies. In a public school itself is a bully forcing homosexual and evolution lies on. Public school students that’s bullying.
▶ 28:35 Are you there yeah their way or the highway. Anyway we have people keep multiplying and then Adam’s getting old 900 some years he’s getting old Eve’s getting old they’re ready to be transported to the promised land heaven and this place is multiplied greatly by sixteen hundred and fifty years after creation the earth is populated with. A bunch of minions a minion is so dumb they follow the bully. They can’t think for themselves they follow the bully and that’s what the Bible says the earth was filled with violence.
▶ 29:30 The bullies were running everything except. Mr. Noah and his wife. They kept the message they. Followed the message and the plan of God all right they did not follow the multitude to do evil Noah and his wife raised three discipline men who married women that were disciplined they were responsible providers or the family and they were saved by the flood. Are you there yeah. These were disciplined responsible character people. You want to get saved. Get character is that any men don’t follow the crowd all right another example a failed.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 4:7-8 (NKJV)
If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
— Genesis 4:7-8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:04 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Genesis 6:11 (NKJV)
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
— Genesis 6:11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:19 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Genesis 7:1 (NKJV)
Then the LORD said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.
— Genesis 7:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 29:35 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How did Eli fail as a father?
Short answer: 1 Samuel 2:12: Eli’s sons were sons of Belial who knew not the Lord, yet ministered in God’s house, lying with women at the door and taking sacrifices. Eli only lectured—listening means hear and obey. 1 Samuel 3:13: his sons made themselves vile and he restrained them not. Both died, the ark was taken, and Eli died.
▶ 30:32 Parent costs all the family’s life here in this story everybody’s going to die because of the failure of parents I. May know young people are dying and parents are dying in America for failure of good parenting. First Samuel 2:12 the sons of Eli were sons of Belial the evil one they sinned greatly and they knew not the Lord now Eli was the high priests he was supposed to be the spiritual man at that time his children was supposed to inherit the priestly ministries and the priestly duties. And his.
▶ 31:24 Sons are evil they don’t even know God and he’s got them in the house of God ministering these guys are having sex with the women at the gate they are taking these sacrifices from the people they are changing the order of the sacrifices these guys are ministering and God’s house and they are evil they don’t even qualify to be there and Eli put them in it are you there. They cause other people to sin and that’s what sinners do they don’t like to sin alone my like company yeah they don’t want to be bad by themselves they want people to join them and so they’re not only sending but they’re causing other people to sin.
▶ 32:19 Now here comes Eli. In the same chapter Eli comes to his grown men and he says now boys. You’re not behaving good. You know if people send against people you know we can bring. Get get things worked out but if you sin against God who’s going to help you with and he’s lecturing his boys you ever seen the lecture movement in the home yeah 5 10 15 minutes 20 30 finally the kid goes whatever whatever I’ll agree to anything a lecture with our consequences a lecture without a penalty and we got a big lecture movement in America we think we can talk our kids out of things if there’s no consequence no payment they’re not going to listen so like kids in America do his grown man’s the old dad we got it we got it yeah yeah well straighten it out went right back having sex with the women at did it and doing whatever they were doing you see they would not listen listen means you hear and obey okay.
▶ 33:37 The word here means you hear what is being said but you’re not going to obey oh yeah I hear your dad I got ya here you can stop the lecturing I got then they go right back and do it again there needed to be a consequence and the consequence here was they should have been taken out of the priestly minister they should not have allowed to be there in the first place when you don’t know God and you haven’t repented and living right you cannot be a minister in God’s house can I be an amen yes and it’s Eli’s fault. First Samuel 3:13 Eli son’s made themselves vile and Eli restrained them not. He didn’t discipline them there was no consequences to be paid and so what happened Israel went the war and Eli I’m in half nine phineas Eli sons they got the ark of the covenant with a big bad priest man with a holy man and they take the ark of the covenant down to the army and with the ark of the covenant everybody goes yeah yeah we’re going to win the war you’re not going to win the war with evil men carrying the presence of God.
▶ 35:01 And so they lost the war and these two boys died in the battle and the ark was taken the presence of God was taken by the enemy Eli when he heard the news broke his neck ended his life the whole family died that day because a father. Would not restrain his children even when they were grown men he would not disagree with them and make him pay a price. Amen. So love. Would have restrained and possibly would have saved Eli’s sons they could have changed if dad would have put some consequences on them instead of just lecturing them.

1 Samuel 2:12 (NKJV)
Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the LORD.
— 1 Samuel 2:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:321 Samuel 2:22-25 (NKJV)
Now Eli was very old; and he heard everything his sons did to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. So he said to them, “Why do you do such things? For I hear of your evil dealings from all the people. No, my sons! For it is not a good report that I hear. You make the LORD’s people transgress. If one man sins against another, God will judge him. But if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?” Nevertheless they did not heed the voice of their father, because the LORD desired to kill them.
— 1 Samuel 2:22-25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:29 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 Samuel 3:13 (NKJV)
For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them.
— 1 Samuel 3:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 33:371 Samuel 4:17-18 (NKJV)
So the messenger answered and said, “Israel has fled before the Philistines, and there has been a great slaughter among the people. Also your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead; and the ark of God has been captured.” Then it happened, when he made mention of the ark of God, that Eli fell off the seat backward by the side of the gate; and his neck was broken and he died, for the man was old and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.
— 1 Samuel 4:17-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 35:15 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the key to leadership in the home?
Short answer: Love. Proverbs 13:24: he who loves his son disciplines him promptly. Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it—the Bible never tells a husband to discipline his wife, contrasting the Quran. Wives respect and submit to your husband; deal with mistakes in private.
▶ 36:00 At least the people would have been saved from sinning because of these two guys right. Love. Love is the key to leadership in the home and everywhere else Proverbs 13:24 he who loves his kids what [unclear] disciplines them quickly. Okay. Whatever it takes if you got a kid like me sit him in a chair. Husbands love your wife as Christ loved the church now the Muslims in the Quran it says. That a husband can beat his wife. Straighten her out and discipline her now we just said we just showed you at the beginning that a husband is do wat discipline the children it never says anywhere in the Bible that a husband is to discipline the wife.
▶ 37:14 She’s a grown woman she suppose to be responsible like the father it she’s supposed to make good decisions are you there and see I can’t I could not be a muslim because they got so many flaws this obvious falls why would anybody join a religion like that that tells you you can beat your wife if she doesn’t obey you it violates the second commandment doesn’t it do unto others as you would have them do unto you you don’t want your wife beating you up and I right. Alleluia the christianity is the best in this earth everything else is a religion christianity is a reality it is a relationship with a living God hallelujah and he’s there working with us so Christ gave himself for the church.
▶ 38:15 See he sacrificed himself for the church we sacrifice for our wives we don’t beat them up belittle them. Wives respect and submit to your husband. Manage that house respect I see so many wives. Disrespecting their husband of especially if he makes a mistake you. Know you need to deal with it in private. Not degrade him publicly that’s what that’s saying respect your husband you gotta love him too but it tells the wife twice to respect her husband when you respect something you treat it right is that an amen.

Proverbs 13:24 (NKJV)
He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
— Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 36:36 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Ephesians 5:22-33 (NKJV)
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
— Ephesians 5:22-33 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 38:28 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Must children obey parents in everything?
Short answer: Children obey your parents in the Lord. If parents ask what isn’t right in the Lord, there’s no obligation to follow it. The church teaches Bible morality so children can know whether their parents are in the Lord.
▶ 39:08 Hallelujah. And lastly. Children honor and obey your parents in the Lord in the Lord is very important I didn’t catch this when I was a young minister I just taught obey and honor. But if they’re not asking you to do things in the Lord what is right and you don’t have an obligation to follow that like fathers that that give their girls young girls a coming-of-age thing where they have sex and you know no you don’t have that’s not in the Lord are you there that’s wrong or fathers that there boy gets 14 and he takes them to a prostitute so they you know come of no no no and that’s why the church is so important the church teaches character. Bible morality and the children can know if their parents are in the Lord or not.

About this transcript
This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Points to check: “do unto others” called the second commandment; Cain and Seth marrying sisters and the bully narrative are his own “hillbilly imagination”; “once saved always saved” challenged (doctrinal). Sensitive content kept as spoken: the Quran permitting wife-beating, fathers arranging sexual “coming of age” for children (as examples of commands not “in the Lord”), welfare recipients vs illegal aliens, public schools “forcing homosexual and evolution lies.” A private first name appears only in the transcript.
