From the sermonJudgment and Condemnation — June 20, 2021 · Michael Silla▶ 0:00

On Father’s Day a younger speaker compares pandemic rules to the gospel and says the gospel should be preached even if called judgmental. From 1 Corinthians 11 he teaches discerning the Lord’s body: holding the church, Jesus, His word and His blood distinct and highest, judging ourselves, and accepting God’s correction like David rather than Saul, before communion.

Live right do what’s right follow God fight the good fight amen. So first off I want to say happy father’s day and we’re going to go into talking about judgment and condemnation this morning but first off.

What did the pandemic rules show about judging?

▶ Watch this part (43:27)

Short answer: Government and corporations made rules, made judgmental statements and enforced them; the gospel is a much better message.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 43:27 In 20 in the year 2020 we had a pandemic and we’re still in it sort of but I wanted to point out something in this pandemic they came up with rules. Some of the signs here it says be smart stay six feet apart wear a mask save a life limit contact to 10 minutes stop the spread. You see this one down here it says meet nobody not even him and in the red letters it says careless hookups cost lives. And so here are the some of the slogans stay safe be smart stay six feet apart and they come up with rhymes. We’re all in this together watching you know and you’re watching shows and the advertisements come up and you know at the end they’re just so positive like we’re all in this together we’re gonna it’s okay and you got famous people up there and I mean the message I saw was very pop.

▶ 44:29 You know positive for. You know we can do this. Stay home. Wash your hands cover your face stop the spread wear a mask and I’m not you know I’m not going to get into what we shouldn’t or shouldn’t have done or all that what I’m my point is. Is that American government and corporations made rules they communicated their message in advertisements in the news they made judgmental statements they enforced the rules people complied they were telling the [unclear] sexually immoral not to hook up. And right now they’re promoting a vaccine. And my point is do we not have. A much better message.

Is the gospel judgmental?

▶ Watch this part (45:24)

Short answer: We all make judgments every day; they pushed their message on the whole world, and God wants to save your eternal and earthly life, so preach it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 45:24 That people may say is judgmental. But they just did it. They judged people for standing too close they judged people for not wearing a mask and here we are with the gospel the best message in the whole world. And it is so much greater. Than the pandemic rules the gospel message. Is valid it it should be preached so when somebody comes up to you and says oh that’s judgmental that’s you’re pushing it they pushed it on us they pushed it on the whole world. To in in an effort to save lives right well God wants to save your eternal life he wants to save your earthly life.

▶ 46:22 So the next time somebody says. The gospel is judgmental just don’t even listen. You know they’re judgmental. We all have to make judgments. You know you wake up you got to make 10 12 judgments. You know all of a sudden they want to throw you know God out because it’s judgmental everything’s judgmental okay. Repent turn away from sin strengthen your spiritual man by spiritual exercise you know you don’t tell me that my spirit is weak that’s judgmental flee the very appearance of evil that’s judgmental repent believe the God that’s just hide God’s word in your heart that’s positive. Respect your body like the temple it is. Don’t you realize that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit this is talking about being sexually.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 6:19 (NKJV)

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

— 1 Corinthians 6:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 46:22 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Who is on our side when the gospel is opposed?

▶ Watch this part (47:22)

Short answer: They had government, corporations and news; we have God, and He can get things through better than all of them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 47:22 Immoral. So that’s the first part I just want to encourage everyone listening that God’s word God’s message is way more important than what we just went through in the past year and it should be promoted even if you know and and they had opposition we opposed the stuff that they still got their message out so when we come with the gospel and they oppose doesn’t matter you know they had government on their side they had the corporations on their side they had the news on their side but who do we have on our side we have God on our side and he can get things through better than the news better than government and better than corporations. So I encourage you.

What does “judge not” mean?

▶ Watch this part (48:16)

Short answer: Remove the plank from your own eye first; the Pharisees criticized Sabbath grain-plucking while rejecting the Son of God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 48:16 The gospel message is the most important message we’re going to talk about judgment this morning going into that as we know in Matthew 7 says judge not that you be not judged hypocrite first remove the plank in your own eye and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye it’s funny you know he says judge not but then he says you need to remove the plank out of your eye so you can remove the plank from somebody else’s eye so you know there’s some judging that’s going on all right. The spec uh the Pharisees were a good example of this Matthew 12:2 the Pharisees saw when the Pharisees saw they said to him look your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath they were plucking heads of grain and eating them you know walking through.

▶ 49:08 Oh my gosh you violated the Sabbath. And of course Jesus healed on the Sabbath he did a good thing on the Sabbath. And. The Pharisees had a plank in their eye you are witnesses against yourselves that you are the sons of those murdered those who murdered the prophets. And when they stood before Jesus and accused him. They just asked him are you the son of God and Jesus response is I am and I said what further testimony this guy deserves to death. They rejected the son of God and that was their plank in their eye a big plank in their eye they’re complaining to him about not following the Sabbath when they are rejecting God’s son a much bigger deal.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 7:1-5 (NKJV)

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

What does “discerning the Lord’s body” mean?

▶ Watch this part (50:11)

Short answer: To separate, to make a distinction; the body is the church, many members in one body.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 50:11 First Corinthians we’re going to be taking up communion this morning in first Corinthians chapter 11 verse 27 it says let a man examine himself so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup for he who eats of and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks to himself. Not discerning. The lord’s body and that the word discerning means to separate to make a distinction. And I want to ex uh go in that this morning the lord’s body what does it mean what are we doing when we separate when we make a distinction. And so God’s body we know in first Corinthians chapter 10 verse 16 we are the church though many are one bread and one body for we all partake in one bread and there’s other verses that explain that we are the church the many membered body of God when God is talking about the body when we take communion that is us.

▶ 51:12 We. Are part of that Hebrews 10:24 let us consider how we may encourage one another spur one another toward love and good deeds not giving up meeting together forsake not the assembling of yourselves together as some are in the habit of doing but let us encourage one another we this morning we experienced a wonderful encouraging time from God Jesus and later on when we fellowship we’re going to encourage one another to keep doing what’s right you know just you guys being here as a young person is encouraging you guys just saying hello smiling it’s good to see you you know as a young person growing up that’s that’s encouraging. Because I can see your life. I don’t know how to explain it but I’m just telling you from a young person’s perspective you know you being here you uh being good people being good examples that has an effect.

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 11:27-29 (NKJV)

Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

— Hebrews 10:24-25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 51:12

Is the church just another social group?

▶ Watch this part (52:12)

Short answer: No. The assembly of God’s people is the greatest gathering in the world in God’s eyes, bigger than the Senate or any rulers.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 52:12 But I want to. Go back to this word discern make a distinction make a separation. And today in America or in your life are you making the church a day a distinct. Are you separating it from all other social groups and gatherings we have to understand this morning that the church the assembly of God’s people is the greatest gathering in all of the world in God’s eyes it is bigger than the senate getting together it is bigger than the house of representatives getting better it is bigger than the Chinese communist party getting together it’s bigger than the rulers and and kings of nations gathering together the church of God is distinct it is separate.

Is God’s word above all other words?

▶ Watch this part (53:11)

Short answer: Yes; higher than any government edict, famous person, YouTuber, college ideology or philosophy.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 53:11 And do we as Christians regard God’s house in that way the most important social gathering not I’m sorry that’s not what it is I’m sorry. It’s the most important assembly that this world has the church and that is what God is saying it is separate it is distinct and if we are rejecting. Do do we make it a priority in a lot in our lives do we separate time in our life for the church and if we’re rejecting the church we’re rejecting who Jesus Christ himself. And of course we know that the bread the body he said take eat this is my body is also the word I’m the living I’m the living bread Jesus said which came down from heaven if anyone eats of this bread he will live forever.

▶ 54:07 Matthew 4 verse 4 it is written man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God and young people need to understand this do we hold God’s word in higher in the highest regard we know we have been taught that the word is above his name we’re you know the word is the highest thing. And see this one we know very well God’s word is above all other words is his most important word I don’t care if the edict comes from the American government the Chinese government I’m using you know their big government. Or some other nation or some great person. The highest word in all of the world is God’s word and we as young people have to separate an old people whoever you are you got to make a distinction God’s word is higher than all other words higher than all other people’s words the famous people and you go on YouTube you know young people they go what youtuber is that have you seen that youtuber.

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 4:4 (NKJV)

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

Why come to Jesus’ feet?

▶ Watch this part (55:26)

Short answer: People came for healing, but Mary sat at His feet and heard His word; come because you love Him, not to get something out of Him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 55:26 They did that thing on the that youtuber did. Do we regard and listen to God’s word above other people God’s philosophies ideologies you go to college there’s a lot of ideologies you go spend time with people that are living in sin they got they’ve got pulled in all kinds of of ideas and philosophies from other places but God’s word is the highest take eat this is my body. Matthew 15:30. They laid them down at Jesus’s feet and he healed them this was a person who was lame in his feet and we know that God Jesus did many miracles. And Jesus’s name was spread throughout the land and people would come and get healing and you know if I was in that day I would be gone if I had an ailment I’d be going to Jesus and say hey can you help me out.

▶ 56:21 Right we would be doing that Luke 8:41 behold there came a man named Jairus he fell down at Jesus’s feet he begged him to come to his house for he had an only daughter about 12 years of age and she was dying her name was brooklyn. And can you imagine one of your children. Being in that situation it’d be very hard and you’d be looking for an answer and Jesus was the answer in that day. But in Luke chapter 10 verse 38 she had a sister called Mary who also I’m sorry we’re talking about Martha Martha. Had a sister called Mary who sat at Jesus’s feet and heard his word. And Martha was busy working doing things and you know I if I was there in that situation I can understand Martha’s situation like hey I’m doing all this work and you’re over there talking and chatting it up.

▶ 57:24 But uh she wasn’t just talking she was sitting there she was listening. And uh she Martha says to Jesus hey you know send Martha over here but Jesus response was one thing is needed and Mary has chosen that good part which will not be taken from her and what I’m trying to say here is the distinction of just coming. To Jesus. Because he’s your God he’s your king because you love him not trying to get something out of him not trying to get a healing out of him not trying to get him to solve your financial crisis but coming to him because you love you want to hear what he has to say and that is making Jesus separate distinct you know in your life you know when you get married you know I know you guys know what that is you you kind of separate this person out from all the other people right you they’re distinct they’re separate uh and you and you commit to that person you get married.

Matthew 15:30 (NKJV)

Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.

But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

— Luke 10:38-42 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 56:21

How is Jesus’ death distinct?

▶ Watch this part (58:34)

Short answer: Even a soldier’s death for our freedom pales beside the death of Jesus for the remission of sins.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 58:34 And that’s the way we’ve got to treat Jesus of course. The cup he also had the cup. He said this is my body take eat this is my body and he says this is my the cup drink from it all of you for this is my blood of the new covenant which is shed for many for the remission of sins. And we’ve got to understand that the death of Jesus. Is separate it is distinct if somebody saved your life in a battle or saved your life out in the world and they took a bullet for you and they did something for you saved your life pulled you from a raging river their death. Is not does it pales in comparison to the death of Jesus Christ for your sin so that you could have eternal.

▶ 59:30 Life. The death of our our fallen soldiers who gave us freedom as wonderful as that is in America the death of Jesus is more distinct is is higher than that and have we accepted the remission of I’m sorry the blood for the remission of our sins the removal and the cleansing. So going back to this Corinthians. Chapter 11. Partaking of communion in a worthy manner are we following God’s word above other words do we prioritize God’s church and recognize it as the best assembly this world has to offer.

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 26:26-28 (NKJV)

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. Why are many weak and sick?

▶ Watch this part (1:00:25)

Short answer: When we don’t regard the church, Jesus, His word and His blood, sin creeps in like a disease and the spiritual man sleeps.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:00:25 Do we seek Jesus and spend time with him. Do we obtain the cleansing of sin from his blood. And I know you guys are not the sinful people I had this prepared for so I’m just kidding no we all need the cleansing of sin from his blood amen. When we do not regard the body the church Jesus himself the word and the blood of Christ we it says here for this reason many are weak sick among you and many sleep meaning. Sin is creeping in their lives like a disease and it is destroying them many sleep talking about death their spiritual man is asleep it is dead when you do not make these things important.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 11:30-31 (NKJV)

For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.

Is “judge yourself” still preached?

▶ Watch this part (1:01:26)

Short answer: It’s off America’s radar; the message today is “accept me for who I am,” but the prodigal came to himself by judging himself.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:01:26 When you do not make God’s house important make Jesus important make his word the most important and his blood the most important you are going to be weak sick and even spiritually dead. And so Paul says here if we would judge ourselves. We would not be judged. And this is I mean where kind of who said this. I mean I live in America don’t judge me. I you know that’s the message right now. I’m who I am or I’m finding who I am give I can’t I can’t remember what they say but right now this statement judge yourself is completely. Not in the message today I’ll tell you right now accept me for who I am.

▶ 1:02:26 This message judge yourself. Is. Off of America’s radar when you look at the lost son he took his portion from his father he left his father and this story signifies God. He wasted his portion on wild living sex drugs rock and roll. And then a famine came and he began to be in want he joined up with another fool in that country. And he suffered hunger. But the Bible says. That he came to himself. In Luke he at one point this sinner this lost sheep. Came to himself because he judged himself and he said what am I doing.

▶ 1:03:21 It took time I I don’t know why he didn’t realize this before I don’t know why it takes so long. And we hate it you know why don’t you just get it why don’t you understand. You gotta waste 20 years of your life. Or more. When he came to himself he said how many of my father’s hired servants have bred enough to spare and I perish with hunger so here the prodigal son is basically judging himself. And he said and he comes up with the solution I will arise go to my father and I’ll say to him father I have sinned against heaven and before you again I have sinned you’re judging yourself you’re saying I’ve done what is wrong I’m no word I’m no longer worthy to be called your son make me like one of your hired servants.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 15:17-19 (NKJV)

“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’

Judge yourself James 1:23 talks about the mirror whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work this one hat will be blessed in what he. Does. We have God’s word today. We as Christians can go to God’s word and allow it to judge us and tell us hey we need to wake up. Very simple. It goes on to say in first Corinthians 11:31. When we are judged. We are chastened by the Lord that we may not be condemned with the world.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

James 1:23-25 (NKJV)

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Why does God chasten us?

▶ Watch this part (1:05:18)

Short answer: So we may not be condemned with the world; whom the Lord loves He corrects, as a father.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:05:18 So first of all. We’re not to we are supposed to make a distinction. In God’s body and his blood we are to judge yourself. And now he says when we are judged not if but when and you know we are judged why because we don’t always judge ourselves. When we are judged we are chastened by the Lord. That we may not be condemned with the world so God’s chastening his correction is so that he can save us from. Condemnation. Proverbs 3:11 my son do not despise the chastening of the Lord nor to test his correction for whom the Lord loves he corrects.

Scripture (NKJV)

Proverbs 3:11-12 (NKJV)

My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor detest His correction; For whom the LORD loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

How did Saul respond to correction?

▶ Watch this part (1:06:13)

Short answer: He tried to get off with a sorry and then held on to being king; he was tormented and died in battle.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:06:13 Just as a father the son in whom he delights. On our on this father’s day we’re reminded. That God our father will correct his children and we are his children. Saul was corrected in the Bible in first Samuel 15 24. He said to Samuel I have sinned I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord because I feared the people and obeyed their voice and God saying yeah you did. So here he rejected the word like we talked about earlier he made other people’s words more important than God’s word just what we just went over. And Saul here he says now therefore please pardon my sin return with me and we may worship the Lord basically he wants to get out of the situation without any any uh punishment.

▶ 1:07:11 And God’s saying no no no no. It’s not that easy. Uh. My kids hate it when I say this but they’ll they’ll say I’m sorry sorry I said sorry. Stuff your sorry’s in a sack. Don’t give me you’re sorry. Sorry it’s not gonna work here you know Saul is trying to get off with a sorry God oh sorry. Sorry. I didn’t listen to you sorry. No you’re a king Saul you’ve been anointed by God to be king and you’re gonna give me a sorry.

▶ 1:08:05 That’s not how it. Works. But Samuel said to Saul I will not return with you you rejected the word of the Lord the Lord has rejected you from being king so now we have a correction from God. Is Saul okay with this correction. No. For years later Saul is trying to stay being king and he is pursuing David and he is angry with David because he wants to kill him because he knows David is what going to be king. And so Saul does not want to let go of his position when God has corrected him saying you’re not king anymore. And if Saul had let go. And accepted God’s correction he probably would have ended up a lot better.

▶ 1:09:03 I mean he was going through torments from evil spirits you guys remember this right he was tormented by evil spirits he died in battle. Slain with his sons. You know if he had just accepted God’s correction and did what God wanted to do I think he would have been in a different spot. But we don’t like God’s. Correction. I’m not really old enough to speak to this. But as a young person. I I’m very observant. And I’m very proud to be part of the church when I look at your guys lives and see what you’ve had to go through and what you’ve come out of and what God’s done for you it really is truly amazing.

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Samuel 15:24-26 (NKJV)

Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the LORD.” But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you from being king over Israel.”

Why wasn’t David removed as king?

▶ Watch this part (1:10:00)

Short answer: He accepted correction; the speaker thinks it was because David had a heart after God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:10:00 And I’m proud to be. Your your little brother. And look at your life observe uh you know God’s correction you know not correction but just the chastening right comes you can observe even a little bit and you see when you come out on the other side God really blesses your life. And. Uh. I’m hopeful. If there’s no price to pay you’ll just do it. Again Saul’s response you don’t have to be king I’m sorry. I’ve already said that David was corrected he committed adultery with Bathsheba and murdered her husband Uriah I mean jeez this is big stuff.

▶ 1:10:59 I mean two hell sins right there take you straight to hell. 2 Samuel 12:11. The correction that came was adversity against you from your own house he was going to receive adversity from his own house he his wives were going to be given to a neighbor and the child that him in Bathsheba had was going to die. And he says an important statement here by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme. And that’s important to remember when we do these sins and we do it for everyone to see we are really bringing down I mean we’re not bringing down God’s name but you’re giving an occasion for people to say oh look what he did and you’re okay with that God he can’t he can’t let that happen he’s got to be just and fair.

▶ 1:12:00 But Nathan says to him Lord has put away your sin you shall not die I find it very interesting that God did not take away him from being king. You realize that Saul was taken away from being king now I know mr thompson already knows the answer. And I think it’s either he had a heart after God and God knew that if he corrected David he would not do it again. Or. Because David. Blessed the Lord at all times but that might be something else but I think it was because he had a heart after God and that is important is your heart. Responsive to God’s correction when he comes to correct you do you respond. And we can go to God’s word we don’t necessarily have to wait for him to bring a hammer down we can go to God’s word and see oh I violated this thing.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Samuel 12:11-14 (NKJV)

Thus says the LORD: ‘Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.’ ” So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” And Nathan said to David, “The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die. However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.”

What does chastening yield?

▶ Watch this part (1:13:01)

Short answer: It is painful for the present, but afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:13:01 And that’s what Paul is saying you can judge yourself we’ve got the we got the whole book we can judge ourselves. Hebrews 12:7 if you endure chastening God deals with you as sons and daughters. For what son is there whom a father does not chasten. I guess all the daughters did not get. Chastened. No correction for the daughters. I’m joking. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present but painful nevertheless afterward it heals the pre peaceful peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it and that’s what I was saying earlier. Many of you have gone through chastening and it is painful.

What questions should we examine ourselves with?

▶ Watch this part (1:13:56)

Short answer: Do you hold the church, Jesus and His word in the highest regard, have you received His blood, do you judge yourself, and will you endure correction?

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:13:56 But in the end it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness. And in spending time with many of you I know that God has brought you through things and it has yielded fruits of righteousness and it’s awesome to observe and see. So God’s questions for us. Well we are examine ourselves. Do you hold the church Jesus and his word in the highest regard do you hold God’s word in the highest regard above everybody else’s word do you hold the church of the living God in the most highest regard over every other gathering and assembly. Even in this. Room.

▶ 1:14:49 At [unclear] highway you know we do not have all the glory and pomp of the United States Senate but God. Views this gathering higher than all of those. Do you value Jesus seeking him finding him knowing him above. Other people. Have you received the blood of Jesus to cleanse you from sin. Do you judge your own behavior will you say to yourself. Self that was not the good way to go. And are you willing to endure God’s correction unlike Saul who would not. Who refused God’s correction will we be like.

What is the new covenant at communion?

▶ Watch this part (1:15:41)

Short answer: God puts His law in our minds and hearts, all shall know Him from least to greatest, and He remembers our sins no more.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Michael Silla

▶ 1:15:41 David and accept it repent from it. And God is asking us this morning. Examine yourself. Examine yourself. And in taking communion this morning as as they prepare the communion first Corinthians chapter 11 23. I will put my law in their minds and inscribe it in their hearts I will be their God they will be my people no longer shall each man teach his neighbor or his brother know the Lord but they all shall know me from the least to the greatest.

▶ 1:16:42 And I will forgive their iniquities and remember their sins no more this is the new covenant. Is God your God this morning. Has God put his word in your heart inscribed in your mind. Do you know the Lord do you recognize that it does not matter who you are God. We can know God from the least to the greatest. And that God can forgive all our iniquities all of our sins let’s bow our heads this morning. As they prepare. Communion. Lord Jesus we come before you this morning Jesus.

▶ 1:17:34 Lord as a church that you value so highly. In all of the world God we here examine. Ourselves we take time right now Lord Jesus to recognize that your word is the highest. The highest word in all of the world God. Jesus that your church is the greatest. Assembly in all the world Jesus right now we recognize. That you are the greatest. God in all the world. Lord Jesus that your death is the most important God right now we recognize that Lord Jesus Lord Jesus without you. We are nothing. God.

▶ 1:18:26 Lord Jesus we come before you this morning and God we pray Lord God that we would be like David receiving correction. Lord Jesus that we would not reject your correction like Saul. But Lord God that we would have a heart after God. Or willing to respond. Willing to listen willing to obey. Jesus. In your precious name this morning God we thank you for what you’ve done and Lord God this morning as we prepare to take communion God we proclaim your death this morning Lord Jesus to remind the world God that you died on the cross Lord that you can save us from sin that you cleanse us. And God Lord that you are the most important and separate and distinct person on all of the world and in all of history God we thank you this morning.

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 (NKJV)

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
